religion and that you should be just towards them, just because they may be disbelievers, and they are practicing egregious injustice towards Allah and their worship of Allah subhanaw taala. And they are drowning the worst sin which is worshipping idols before Allah, the the statues are very human beings.
You don't worship anyone besides Allah. Though they are practicing all of this, this is not an excuse not to be just towards them.
