Our job is to ensure that we do all that we can to protect everybody's rights, rights, to demonstrate rights to

speak all those rights in our Constitution. And we take very, you know, that job we have of keeping people safe is vitally important to us. And in these very difficult times, it makes it more difficult, we have to make sure that we stay attuned all the policies and changes going on to see how that's going to reflect in our community, see what kind of additional threats that might occur. And make sure that we do everything we can to prevent those and react to those when they do occur.

We have with us today, you know, I talked before about our homeland security officer, we have somebody full time that's a lieutenant and what they do is they try to ensure that they know all the intelligence coming in any threat that might occur in our community. They work with the faith community, they work with the security of for the different organizations throughout the community, such as the, the, the major corporations, and Jeff wises is our person that does that. And you know, we always throw names out, you know, we say, Jeff wise, well, who's that? Well, actually, he's that guy back there in the back, if you can wave to everybody. He actually works right next door here at

the Academy building is where he station. But his job is to make sure that we have regular meetings with the faith based community, we that we have meetings with the security of the major corporations and all the different groups in the community to make sure that they know what's going on what threats might be happening, and that we all work together to make sure that we're all safe. You know, we talk about safety. And that's our job. But really, we're not the first line of defense. In this community. The first line of defense is the citizens. It's everybody working together as a family in this community to make sure that we look out for one another, protect one another, call us

whenever you see something suspicious. And we do have a lot of resources for everyone in Plano that they can take advantage of. We have home security surveys where we can come out here we can come to your homes, your business, wherever it might be, and look at that particular establishment and tell you how you can make it safer to make sure nothing bad happens, whether it be burglary, theft, you know anything at all.

We have also a lot of other programs that you can use. And of course you go on our website, you can take a look, we just have all kinds of different programs would come out and talk to your group. Tell them about personal safety, whatever it might be. But our biggest message today is that, that we are one community we are working together, we all care about one another. And these terrible things that happen elsewhere, we're gonna make sure they don't happen here. We want to do all that we can. So please be out there with your eyes open when you see suspicious activity. Let us know that so we can come in and quickly address that. Okay.

And we're Arizona, Arizona was was not satisfied with with what the federal government was doing. So they tried to get their local law enforcement to go out and to help enforce along the Mexican border immigration laws. And the President then Obama came in and said, You can't do that. So they had a lawsuit. The Supreme

Court said no, you're preempted. They cannot do that. That's only the federal government row. Plus, for us, it's very difficult for us to police a community and to get people to trust us and to help them if they think we're going to deport them. So we do not do immigration in that manner. We're not We're not what they call a we're not a community. That's a safe haven either, though, because we want to make sure that we get rid of people, if they're from other countries, and they commit violations, serious violations, we need to get them out of our country because they're continuing to prey on our people here on all of you and all of us. And we can't have that happen. So what we do is

our job is to use the immigration authorities if people commit crimes, and that's how we do it here in Plano, and it's because our job is safety.
