Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim hamdulillah you're the lion Amin Salatu was Salam ala at American Camilla and you allow for you to call Kyla he he married while he was being a woman the idea was still gonna be something that he did along the island even me and Trevor Noah winter are novena antenna was it

00:00:24 --> 00:00:35

but Edina helped help clean waters all connected I already know Isabel plida belt Eden was organized Tina, which I didn't I mean yesterday rune are cooler for you to be Runa Santa

00:00:37 --> 00:00:39

salaam rally Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

00:00:42 --> 00:00:47

Last week we discussed what happened after the battle occurred.

00:00:48 --> 00:00:56

How the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam ordered his companions to chase after the enemy the next day.

00:00:59 --> 00:01:07

And how they responded to that positively, and how a lot of praise them in the Quran, which is

00:01:08 --> 00:01:09

related to that incident.

00:01:11 --> 00:01:12

Then we looked at some

00:01:14 --> 00:01:16

remaining scenes of the battle like

00:01:18 --> 00:01:19

good and bad endings,

00:01:20 --> 00:01:23

the role of the women

00:01:24 --> 00:01:29

and some of the miracles that had occurred in that battle.

00:01:33 --> 00:01:40

Now, unlike any other battle that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam fought,

00:01:41 --> 00:01:42

the Battle of ocean

00:01:44 --> 00:01:46

will always remain as

00:01:47 --> 00:01:51

the one that teaches the ummah.

00:01:52 --> 00:01:54

So many different lessons.

00:01:56 --> 00:01:57

And so it is

00:01:59 --> 00:02:01

a treasure trove of lessons.

00:02:03 --> 00:02:04

And that's why the Scholars

00:02:06 --> 00:02:09

whenever they talk about the battle, they always mention

00:02:10 --> 00:02:21

a list of lessons that can be drawn from it. So it Blanca here. He lists many of them in his famous book Zadran mad

00:02:23 --> 00:02:39

and so what we're gonna do today inshallah Metalla is that we're gonna go through as many lessons as we can, and even then we wouldn't be doing justice to this topic, there will be there would be so many lessons that we wouldn't be able to mention and cover.

00:02:43 --> 00:02:44

Now most of the lessons

00:02:45 --> 00:02:47

that we will mention,

00:02:48 --> 00:02:51

are actually in light of what Allah has mentioned in the Quran.

00:02:54 --> 00:03:02

And so we mentioned previously that the battle of better after the Battle of better Allah revealed Surah to exile.

00:03:04 --> 00:03:07

And after the Battle of Allah revealed

00:03:09 --> 00:03:13

so many as from Surah, earlier Imran.

00:03:16 --> 00:03:18

More than 60 ayat of the surah

00:03:20 --> 00:03:24

are in relation to the barrel of oil.

00:03:27 --> 00:03:31

So, let us go through the lessons that we learn from this battle.

00:03:33 --> 00:03:39

The first is the importance of studying history.

00:03:41 --> 00:03:43

Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah says

00:03:45 --> 00:03:52

in surah Ali Imran verse 137, called the harlot mean cuddly come soon and

00:03:53 --> 00:03:58

fussy you Phil only. Samburu kafer can now be able to look at dB.

00:04:00 --> 00:04:03

Similar situations have come to pass before you

00:04:04 --> 00:04:06

was talking about the battles are heard

00:04:08 --> 00:04:13

saying to the believers, that will happen to you on this day. Similarly,

00:04:15 --> 00:04:19

similar situations took place with the believers before you

00:04:20 --> 00:04:30

and with the disbelievers, the nations of the past. And then Allah says to travel throughout the land and see the fate of the deniers.

00:04:33 --> 00:04:37

We can't believe in history if we don't believe

00:04:39 --> 00:04:44

in the validity of the rule of cause and effect.

00:04:46 --> 00:04:48

We have to believe that

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52

causes do lead to certain

00:04:54 --> 00:04:54

results.

00:04:56 --> 00:05:00

And so if that is not the case, then there are

00:05:00 --> 00:05:01

no benefit in studying history.

00:05:03 --> 00:05:06

Because when we study history, we are actually looking at

00:05:08 --> 00:05:11

causes that lead to certain results.

00:05:13 --> 00:05:14

And these causes

00:05:15 --> 00:05:17

and their subsequent results

00:05:19 --> 00:05:20

are the laws of Allah

00:05:22 --> 00:05:24

that govern us human beings,

00:05:25 --> 00:05:28

which is why Allah refers to them as soon as

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30

the plural of sunnah.

00:05:34 --> 00:05:35

So the Sooners of Allah,

00:05:36 --> 00:05:39

with respect to us human beings,

00:05:41 --> 00:05:42

you act a certain way,

00:05:46 --> 00:05:47

then you will see a certain result.

00:05:53 --> 00:05:57

And so, we need to look at what happened

00:05:58 --> 00:06:02

to the believers in the in the previous nations

00:06:03 --> 00:06:05

and compare them with the kuffar

00:06:07 --> 00:06:11

of those nations, and then learn lessons from them.

00:06:12 --> 00:06:14

And so that is what Allah is telling us in this if

00:06:16 --> 00:06:20

he's telling us that we need to study history to learn lessons.

00:06:21 --> 00:06:26

So that is the purpose of studying history. And

00:06:28 --> 00:06:29

that's the reason why Allah

00:06:30 --> 00:06:34

mentioned so many stories in the Quran.

00:06:35 --> 00:06:40

The purpose behind it is to learn lessons from them, not for the sake of entertainment.

00:06:42 --> 00:06:43

We don't read history,

00:06:45 --> 00:06:52

for fun to enjoy the stories, but rather, to learn the lessons from now.

00:06:55 --> 00:06:59

And when we look at the story of the battle the word

00:07:02 --> 00:07:03

as we mentioned,

00:07:04 --> 00:07:06

we derive so many lessons from

00:07:13 --> 00:07:14

number two

00:07:17 --> 00:07:18

a question that

00:07:20 --> 00:07:23

has always remained

00:07:24 --> 00:07:27

on the minds of many is

00:07:29 --> 00:07:30

about the Battle of word.

00:07:32 --> 00:07:33

Was this battle,

00:07:34 --> 00:07:39

a victory for courage and,

00:07:40 --> 00:07:42

and a defeat for the Muslims?

00:07:45 --> 00:07:47

There's no doubt that initially,

00:07:48 --> 00:07:51

the Muslims were victorious. And we mentioned this.

00:07:53 --> 00:08:03

In fact, even Abbas radula, Hanuman, he says, Allah did not give victory to his messenger like he did on the day of awkward.

00:08:05 --> 00:08:06

So

00:08:08 --> 00:08:15

the people they started to object or they said, How could you say that? We all know that this was a defeat.

00:08:17 --> 00:08:22

So he said, between me and those who deny it, is the book of Allah.

00:08:23 --> 00:08:30

Allah says, The Day of what are called sadhaka como la Hua, it will soon be

00:08:31 --> 00:08:42

in Surah, Allah Allah, Allah says, and Allah had certainly fulfilled his promise to you, when you were killing them, slaughtering them by his permission.

00:08:45 --> 00:08:45

And so

00:08:47 --> 00:08:51

that was a victory. And they started to retreat, as we know.

00:08:53 --> 00:08:55

But then the tides turn.

00:08:56 --> 00:09:01

And we know the eventual outcome. So the question now is

00:09:05 --> 00:09:07

was this a victory for Koresh

00:09:08 --> 00:09:10

and a defeat for the Muslims?

00:09:13 --> 00:09:18

To answer that question, we need to know what the objectives of the war was.

00:09:20 --> 00:09:21

What were the objectives of this war?

00:09:24 --> 00:09:27

And then we need to see where those objectives fulfilled.

00:09:28 --> 00:09:35

Because a victory is only a victory when you achieve your objectives.

00:09:37 --> 00:09:40

And we say that was not the case.

00:09:41 --> 00:09:48

Because Quraysh had come out to annihilate themselves once and for a while.

00:09:52 --> 00:09:56

And that didn't happen, but rather, they ended up going back to

00:09:58 --> 00:09:59

if they had returned like a booster

00:10:00 --> 00:10:00

If you're wanting to do

00:10:02 --> 00:10:09

and then let's say for argument's sake, they came back and they destroyed the Muslims, then we say yes, it was a clear victory for them.

00:10:12 --> 00:10:14

And so we say this was not a victory for Quraysh.

00:10:16 --> 00:10:23

Nor was it a clear defeat for the Muslims. Yes, they suffered a loss.

00:10:25 --> 00:10:29

They suffered many casualties. But we don't say that they suffered a defeat.

00:10:33 --> 00:10:39

And so likewise, in all wars and battles that the Muslims fight,

00:10:41 --> 00:10:42

like in the present situation,

00:10:44 --> 00:10:53

when we look at what's happening in Palestine, even though they have suffered huge amounts of losses, we don't say that they have been defeated.

00:10:56 --> 00:10:57

They will only be defeated.

00:10:58 --> 00:10:59

If

00:11:01 --> 00:11:05

you know the enemy is able to put an end to the resistance.

00:11:06 --> 00:11:08

As long as there is resistance,

00:11:09 --> 00:11:15

then an enemy has not achieved a victory, nor had the Muslims be defeated.

00:11:18 --> 00:11:18

Number three,

00:11:21 --> 00:11:25

Do not be overcome with defeat when suffering a loss.

00:11:26 --> 00:11:28

Allah Subhana Allah Allah says,

00:11:30 --> 00:11:37

in Surah Ali Imran verse 130 Night, well after he knew what had to happen weren't

00:11:38 --> 00:11:51

in control, meaning, do not become weak, to filter, do not grieve, for you will have the upper hand if you are indeed believers.

00:11:52 --> 00:11:58

So this was revealed after the battle was offered, when the spirits of the Muslims were alone.

00:11:59 --> 00:12:02

Allah is telling the Muslims not to weaken,

00:12:03 --> 00:12:08

not to grieve, and that if they are true believers, then victory is wisdom.

00:12:09 --> 00:12:19

And then Allah subhanho wa Taala says, in such conclusion, for call Jameson from Metro, if you have suffered injuries,

00:12:21 --> 00:12:25

they the enemy have also suffered likewise.

00:12:27 --> 00:12:34

And since and so since there are more Rao was down because of what happened to them in the battlefield,

00:12:35 --> 00:12:42

Allah was now telling them that what happened to you in a puddle of should also happen to Quraysh in the battle.

00:12:45 --> 00:12:47

If you are suffering wounds, now,

00:12:48 --> 00:12:49

the suffered wounds then

00:12:51 --> 00:12:51

also,

00:12:53 --> 00:13:06

if their loss at better, did not prevent them from coming back to fighting or hurt, then the wounds of the Muslims app should not prevent the Muslims from carrying on the fight either.

00:13:08 --> 00:13:10

So Allah is telling the Muslims not to give up.

00:13:12 --> 00:13:13

Their spirits must remain high.

00:13:14 --> 00:13:17

If some of the Muslims are killed,

00:13:18 --> 00:13:21

then be patient remain steadfast

00:13:24 --> 00:13:25

don't give up

00:13:29 --> 00:13:30

in fact,

00:13:32 --> 00:13:45

when we see what the enemy is doing today, in Palestine, how they are in indiscriminately targeting the civilians and the innocent Muslims.

00:13:46 --> 00:13:47

The purpose behind that

00:13:48 --> 00:13:53

is to bring down the morale of the resistance

00:13:57 --> 00:13:59

they want these people to give up fighting

00:14:03 --> 00:14:06

so that is one of the reasons why they're doing what they're doing.

00:14:07 --> 00:14:08

They want them to give up

00:14:10 --> 00:14:13

and so they require reminders like this.

00:14:16 --> 00:14:18

Allah is telling the believers

00:14:20 --> 00:14:33

do not weaken. Yes, you suffered injuries casualties. It was terrible. But you have to keep your spirits high and you need me to continue. And then Allah says

00:14:35 --> 00:14:38

what till can uh, yeah muda we do have a nurse

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43

and we alternate the days

00:14:44 --> 00:14:54

meaning the days of victory and defeat. We alternate them among the people. So one day Quraysh wins. And one day the Muslims

00:14:55 --> 00:14:59

that is how it is in this dunya winning and losing it

00:15:00 --> 00:15:00

As part of life,

00:15:02 --> 00:15:11

Ibrahim, he says, It was the wisdom of Allah and His way with his prophets and their followers that

00:15:12 --> 00:15:18

they would want to win, and once lose, but in the end, they are victorious.

00:15:19 --> 00:15:29

So the end result is that Islam will win. However, until we reach that stage, there will always be a win lose situation.

00:15:31 --> 00:15:32

Then he says,

00:15:33 --> 00:15:34

if the believers always win,

00:15:36 --> 00:15:37

then others will join them.

00:15:39 --> 00:15:42

And then it wouldn't be clear who the believers are

00:15:43 --> 00:15:44

and who are not.

00:15:46 --> 00:15:48

And so to distinguish between the believers,

00:15:49 --> 00:16:01

and the kuffaar, or the opportunists, there needs to be these alternating conditions between the truth and falsehood.

00:16:02 --> 00:16:05

If there wasn't such a situation, then

00:16:06 --> 00:16:08

if the muscles were always winning,

00:16:09 --> 00:16:11

then people would join

00:16:12 --> 00:16:14

only for worldly reasons.

00:16:16 --> 00:16:20

And then he says, and if the Muslims are always losing,

00:16:21 --> 00:16:25

then the objective of sending the prophets will not be fulfilled.

00:16:27 --> 00:16:27

Meaning

00:16:29 --> 00:16:32

the objective behind why Allah sent the prophets

00:16:34 --> 00:16:37

was for Islam to spread throughout the world.

00:16:39 --> 00:16:43

So if the Muslims never win, then that objective cannot be fulfilled.

00:16:45 --> 00:16:45

And so

00:16:47 --> 00:16:54

it's not be fitting that we should always be winning, nor edit nor is it the fitting that we should always be losing.

00:16:55 --> 00:16:56

And so

00:16:57 --> 00:17:02

the losing phase that separates the true believers

00:17:03 --> 00:17:10

from the others, and the winning phase that spreads the deen of Allah subhana wa Tada.

00:17:11 --> 00:17:12

Number four

00:17:16 --> 00:17:22

Why does Allah subhanho wa Taala high to allow the Muslims to suffer?

00:17:28 --> 00:17:31

Why didn't Allah subhanaw taala

00:17:34 --> 00:17:36

allow them to be victorious.

00:17:37 --> 00:17:38

Okay, we understand why,

00:17:39 --> 00:17:47

as we mentioned, but why so much bloodshed? Why so many casualties?

00:17:49 --> 00:17:51

Why so much loss of life?

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55

And as we reflect over this,

00:17:57 --> 00:18:00

we should reflect over what's happening right now.

00:18:03 --> 00:18:05

So there are some Muslims out there who are wondering,

00:18:06 --> 00:18:12

why does Allah subhanho wa Taala allow this to happen to to the believers?

00:18:13 --> 00:18:30

And so there are so many reasons why Allah allows the believers to suffer loss like they did on the day of Watford. And so Allah mentioned these reasons in these items Surah Ali, and so let's see what Allah says.

00:18:32 --> 00:18:50

After mentioning, what typical a Yamanaka will have been and as we continue on from there, Allah says, Well, yeah, LM Allah who led ina M and what does that mean? Come Shuhada Allahu Allah, you had the volume in so that Allah may reveal

00:18:51 --> 00:19:10

the true believers and choose Shahadat, choose martyrs from among you. And Allah does not like the wrongdoers What do you must face Allah Who let in Amman William alcohol caffeine, and that he may purify the true believers and destroy the kuffar

00:19:11 --> 00:19:28

um has ever done unto the halogen Netta Allah may Allah Milla Hulan Elijah had to make them why I never saw the room. Do you think that you're going to enter agenda without Allah seeing which of you fought for his sake and patiently endured?

00:19:30 --> 00:19:33

So here Allah subhana one with the high dimensions.

00:19:34 --> 00:19:42

Five reasons for why he allowed what he allowed to happen on the day of record.

00:19:43 --> 00:19:44

The first

00:19:46 --> 00:19:52

is to make evident the true believers. As we mentioned before,

00:19:53 --> 00:19:57

the true test of Eman is the battlefield

00:19:59 --> 00:19:59

that

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02

is a true test. And that is where

00:20:03 --> 00:20:05

the fakeness shoulders

00:20:06 --> 00:20:07

as we saw

00:20:10 --> 00:20:15

before the DoD will even begin. A third of the army defected.

00:20:16 --> 00:20:19

And they were the one I feel the hypocrites.

00:20:20 --> 00:20:27

So Allah is saying that he wanted to separate the believers from the munafo. Well, yeah, lemon Medina

00:20:29 --> 00:20:30

and then

00:20:33 --> 00:20:37

and then the second with tequila mean cultural adept.

00:20:38 --> 00:20:51

The second to choose from among the believers, martyrs. Even acclaim says a shahada martyrdom is among the highest levels in the sight of Allah.

00:20:52 --> 00:20:57

And the martyrs are the ones whom Allah drives closer to him.

00:20:58 --> 00:20:59

And then he says,

00:21:00 --> 00:21:06

How can there be martyrs, if Allah doesn't allow the enemy to kill some of the Muslims?

00:21:08 --> 00:21:14

So if shahada is such a high status, then how are we going to achieve it?

00:21:15 --> 00:21:23

The only way to achieve it is for Allah to allow the enemy to kill some of the believers.

00:21:26 --> 00:21:29

The third, while you might think, so, law will let you know

00:21:32 --> 00:21:37

to purify the believers, through such tests,

00:21:38 --> 00:21:40

even a claim, he says,

00:21:42 --> 00:21:48

Allah loves some of his servants so much, that he reserves for them high places in general.

00:21:50 --> 00:21:56

However, the deeds of the servant are not sufficient enough to take him up to that level.

00:22:00 --> 00:22:01

So how can a person achieve it?

00:22:04 --> 00:22:19

It is by Allah making such people to go through the trials of this dunya by suffering, hardship, and pain. And that is how this person status can be resilient

00:22:20 --> 00:22:22

as a Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam metric

00:22:27 --> 00:22:36

that no pain and suffering touches the believer except that so many things happen as a result, your sins are forgiven.

00:22:38 --> 00:22:40

And you raise

00:22:42 --> 00:22:46

you elevate yourself you are rising in ranks.

00:22:48 --> 00:22:59

And so Allah subhanahu wa Tada loved these companions so much, but because their deeds were not sufficient enough to take them to that level

00:23:00 --> 00:23:07

that Allah had reserved for them. Allah made them go through the pain, the hardship, the injury, and the suffering

00:23:10 --> 00:23:11

that they went through

00:23:16 --> 00:23:18

and so it will take them says that it is

00:23:20 --> 00:23:22

a purification process.

00:23:24 --> 00:23:25

Whenever you go through a hardship

00:23:27 --> 00:23:30

for example, when you fall ill you're being purified

00:23:31 --> 00:23:36

that's why we say to the to the sick and the ill person now that's the whole inshallah

00:23:38 --> 00:23:39

it is a purification for you.

00:23:42 --> 00:23:42

The fourth

00:23:44 --> 00:23:46

way um, how caffeine

00:23:47 --> 00:23:58

to destroy the disbelievers. And so, if Allah loves some so much, that he hates others a lot.

00:24:00 --> 00:24:03

So, Allah dislikes some of the kuffaar so much

00:24:04 --> 00:24:07

that he has reserved a place for them in the hellfire.

00:24:09 --> 00:24:11

So here Allah is telling us

00:24:12 --> 00:24:16

that he allowed the suffering on the day of Oxford

00:24:18 --> 00:24:22

for it to be a means of punishing these kofod.

00:24:24 --> 00:24:32

So the fact that the kuffaar incurred so much loss and suffering upon the Muslims, this is actually

00:24:34 --> 00:24:38

a means for their destruction in the future.

00:24:39 --> 00:24:45

Imagine for for Ibn Camilla, the one who had injured the Prophet so the loved one how do you say no?

00:24:48 --> 00:24:50

Does he think that that was something good for him?

00:24:53 --> 00:24:55

Is that something to be happy over?

00:24:58 --> 00:24:59

Likewise,

00:25:00 --> 00:25:02

what they're doing to Muslims today

00:25:03 --> 00:25:08

they rejoicing but is that something for them to be rejoicing over

00:25:10 --> 00:25:18

that is the worst thing that can ever happen to them in their lives for them to target Muslims like

00:25:20 --> 00:25:29

for that man to target the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam and injure him. It was the worst thing to happen for to happen in his life.

00:25:30 --> 00:25:31

And because of it

00:25:33 --> 00:25:34

because of it

00:25:36 --> 00:25:37

they're gonna land where they're gonna land.

00:25:39 --> 00:25:39

If

00:25:41 --> 00:25:42

if they had not done it,

00:25:43 --> 00:25:46

then how would Allah be just in punishing them?

00:25:49 --> 00:25:52

It was all a preparation for their punishment as Allah says.

00:25:54 --> 00:26:03

When I said in the Latina CAFO and no man I'm Lila homeboy Yoli unfussy him in Mr. Nan de la only as the two men one of whom,

00:26:05 --> 00:26:17

again surah Allah. Allah says, Those who disbelieve and the enemies of Allah should not think that Allah extending their time for them in the dunya

00:26:19 --> 00:26:19

is any good for them?

00:26:22 --> 00:26:23

And we also wonder,

00:26:24 --> 00:26:27

why is Allah not punishing them? Why? Why is Allah not

00:26:29 --> 00:26:32

you know, putting an end to their tyranny.

00:26:33 --> 00:26:34

Allah says here,

00:26:35 --> 00:26:38

they are only given more time

00:26:40 --> 00:26:41

to increase in sin.

00:26:43 --> 00:26:53

And they will suffer a humiliating punishment. So when we see that certain Kfar nations have a free rein to do whatever they want,

00:26:54 --> 00:27:01

to the Muslims, to kill them, to harass them, to torture them, to throw them into prisons, without any charges,

00:27:03 --> 00:27:04

we should stop and think

00:27:05 --> 00:27:07

is that something good for them.

00:27:09 --> 00:27:12

And so the reality is that it is a sign

00:27:13 --> 00:27:16

of Allah's wrath that's going to descend upon them.

00:27:18 --> 00:27:25

And you know, what awaits for them in Africa. And so Allah gives these tyrants chances in the dunya.

00:27:26 --> 00:27:43

So that they could rightfully be put where they will be put in the hellfire. And so Allah is building a case against them, by which they'll have no way of escaping on the day of judgment, and they won't have any way of defending themselves.

00:27:46 --> 00:27:48

If they had not done any of this,

00:27:49 --> 00:27:55

then they could perhaps, you know, have a case or justification.

00:27:57 --> 00:28:10

The fifth reason why Allah allows us suffering, Allah says, I'm Huseby to them and to the full agenda. Well, Allah, may Allah Milam that Elijah had a miracle. Why Masabi here Allah is telling the Muslims don't think

00:28:11 --> 00:28:19

that you can make it to Jannah without fighting jihad in his cause. You have to go through the stages.

00:28:21 --> 00:28:24

You cannot claim your place in Jannah. without

00:28:26 --> 00:28:29

going through the hardship and the struggles,

00:28:30 --> 00:28:34

and consequently it will show in your solver, your patience.

00:28:36 --> 00:28:39

And so that's why Allah combines between Jihad and Sauber here in this area.

00:28:43 --> 00:28:45

And so Islam is not a mystic religion,

00:28:46 --> 00:28:48

where you just do certain

00:28:49 --> 00:28:51

acts of worship certain rituals.

00:28:54 --> 00:28:57

And that's it, you know, you guarantee resolve genuine,

00:28:59 --> 00:29:01

Allah will test us in the field.

00:29:03 --> 00:29:11

And so Allah has some serious demands from us, because He will then give us gender in return.

00:29:13 --> 00:29:15

That's a Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam says,

00:29:16 --> 00:29:18

Allah in the Scylla to La Jolla.

00:29:20 --> 00:29:31

That the product of Allah that he is offering to sell to us is extremely expensive. And in Silla to loyal Jen, that product of Allah is genuine.

00:29:34 --> 00:29:36

And Allah has told us

00:29:37 --> 00:29:38

in Surah to tell them

00:29:39 --> 00:29:41

how he has bought and purchased

00:29:43 --> 00:29:45

the lives of son

00:29:46 --> 00:29:51

for for that reward for gym in a lush dot all we need

00:29:53 --> 00:29:57

was purchased from the believers. Their lives in exchange for check

00:29:59 --> 00:29:59

in the next week,

00:30:00 --> 00:30:08

Allah subhanho wa Taala says what occurred you couldn't come to an unknown and know Tamil cobbly and telco for cultural aid to move over into a room,

00:30:09 --> 00:30:12

you certainly wished for the opportunity for shahada

00:30:14 --> 00:30:18

for dying in the path of Allah before you encountered it.

00:30:19 --> 00:30:22

Now you have seen it with your own eyes.

00:30:25 --> 00:30:26

Here Allah is talking about

00:30:29 --> 00:30:35

the Sahaba, who could not make it for the battle of better, they missed out.

00:30:36 --> 00:30:38

It's all these companions were

00:30:40 --> 00:30:42

waiting for an opportunity like this.

00:30:45 --> 00:30:46

Because they also wanted

00:30:47 --> 00:30:48

shahada

00:30:49 --> 00:30:50

in the path of Allah.

00:30:54 --> 00:30:55

But these are mere wishes.

00:30:57 --> 00:30:59

It is something that was in their hearts.

00:31:03 --> 00:31:11

And so it means you can have the intention. But now, the question is, is your intention real? So Allah is saying here

00:31:14 --> 00:31:24

that actual fighting was necessary to verify whether your your wishes and desires are true or not.

00:31:28 --> 00:31:29

Maybe some of them weren't sure

00:31:30 --> 00:31:34

what they wanted until they actually got on to the battlefield.

00:31:35 --> 00:31:42

And then maybe when they saw the fighting in the blood, in front of their own eyes, maybe they will change their minds.

00:31:44 --> 00:31:56

And so likewise, many of us we may have that intention in our heart to be a shahid but does that mean that when we see the opportunity, we would actually make an effort to fulfill the intention.

00:31:59 --> 00:32:09

So this is something that only Allah knows. And that is why Allah brought such situations to make evident of what was in their hearts.

00:32:10 --> 00:32:12

As Allah mentions, in this if

00:32:14 --> 00:32:14

we continue on

00:32:16 --> 00:32:17

to the next lesson

00:32:22 --> 00:32:23

the consequences

00:32:24 --> 00:32:26

of disobedience.

00:32:29 --> 00:32:33

Disobeying the messenger of allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam

00:32:34 --> 00:32:35

is a grave sin

00:32:37 --> 00:32:40

and that is why the Muslims suffered.

00:32:41 --> 00:32:44

The way they suffered in the Battle of a heart.

00:32:45 --> 00:32:47

Allah subhanahu Italie says

00:32:49 --> 00:32:54

Yeah, you heard Adina am and I'll clear Allah, what a three year old Rasul Allah what will Emery welcome?

00:32:56 --> 00:32:56

Oh, you will believe

00:32:57 --> 00:33:02

obey Allah and obey the messenger. And those in authority over

00:33:03 --> 00:33:09

the internet. Zack don't fish in Florida who eat Allah He was really in control to be lucky while you're here.

00:33:11 --> 00:33:13

Should you disagree on something,

00:33:14 --> 00:33:20

then refer it back to Allah and His Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah, and the last thing

00:33:23 --> 00:33:25

and so here Allah was addressing

00:33:26 --> 00:33:31

the believers, who were there with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when he was alive,

00:33:34 --> 00:33:41

obey Allah and will be His Messenger, and those in authority over you. And then if you differ over something,

00:33:42 --> 00:33:45

take it back to Allah and His messenger.

00:33:46 --> 00:33:55

So when they were different over something, they would go to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and help him to resolve it for them. Allah is commanding them to do this.

00:33:56 --> 00:34:13

After the death of Rasulullah, sallallahu alayhi wasallam. If we now dispute over something, we need to take it back to Allah and His messenger. That is by taking it back to the Quran, and the Sunnah. And so that is

00:34:14 --> 00:34:16

our reference, as Muslims.

00:34:19 --> 00:34:21

It's all from the battle of Oxford, we can see

00:34:24 --> 00:34:25

the danger

00:34:26 --> 00:34:30

of disobeying the instructions of Rasulullah sallallahu it yourself.

00:34:32 --> 00:34:33

He gave them clear orders

00:34:35 --> 00:34:40

not to move from their positions, the archers were positioned on the hill.

00:34:41 --> 00:34:44

And so what happened? They didn't listen to him.

00:34:45 --> 00:34:46

And they came down

00:34:47 --> 00:34:49

and the results was what it was.

00:34:52 --> 00:34:54

But this is one small disobedience.

00:34:56 --> 00:34:57

They made a mistake.

00:35:01 --> 00:35:02

How about us?

00:35:04 --> 00:35:08

And the major forms of disobedience, we show

00:35:10 --> 00:35:15

to the orders of Rasulullah, sallAllahu, alayhi wasallam in our lives,

00:35:17 --> 00:35:18

do we think

00:35:20 --> 00:35:23

that the result will be okay.

00:35:24 --> 00:35:25

Imagine

00:35:26 --> 00:35:33

if the Companions obeyed one simple order. they disobeyed one simple order of the process.

00:35:35 --> 00:35:39

And it caused the devastating result that it caused.

00:35:40 --> 00:35:45

Then do we think that by constantly disobeying

00:35:46 --> 00:35:51

what the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam has left us with that,

00:35:52 --> 00:35:56

you know, it's somehow going to be okay with us without any devastating

00:35:58 --> 00:36:02

results. So this is nothing for us to ponder over.

00:36:03 --> 00:36:03

Number six

00:36:07 --> 00:36:10

whatever calamities befall us,

00:36:12 --> 00:36:15

we are the ones who bring it upon our own selves.

00:36:17 --> 00:36:20

So this is an extension of the last lesson

00:36:22 --> 00:36:25

of disobeying the prophets on Allahu Allah Himself.

00:36:26 --> 00:36:28

And so Allah tells us

00:36:29 --> 00:36:40

that the suffering, the experience it was because of their own actions. It was because of their disobedience. Allah subhanahu catalysis

00:36:42 --> 00:36:43

sort of early on Ron verse 165.

00:36:45 --> 00:36:57

Elijah Moussa bet to Kumasi but don't call that Asante to me midlayer call to Edna Harada Kulu Amina Andy and fusi come in the water and a coalition.

00:36:58 --> 00:37:04

Allah says why is it that when you suffered casualties, meaning on the day of offered,

00:37:05 --> 00:37:09

although you had made your enemy suffered twice as much meaning

00:37:10 --> 00:37:11

in the Battle of better,

00:37:13 --> 00:37:14

then you asked

00:37:15 --> 00:37:16

How could this be

00:37:17 --> 00:37:25

the companions the cause, way more casualties among Quraysh in Belgium?

00:37:27 --> 00:37:31

Then what happened to them on the Day of offered?

00:37:33 --> 00:37:35

And then when it happened on the day of

00:37:36 --> 00:37:41

they asked, How could this be? Why were we not victorious?

00:37:42 --> 00:37:45

So Allah says, say, oh Mohamed,

00:37:46 --> 00:37:47

who Amina India,

00:37:48 --> 00:37:50

it is from your own cells.

00:37:52 --> 00:38:07

You know, why are you asking? You know, why are you putting the blame on Allah? Why are you saying, Oh Allah, why did you cause us, you know, this loss, Allah is saying, say to them, it is as a result of your own actions.

00:38:08 --> 00:38:11

Indeed, Allah is most capable of doing everything meaning.

00:38:12 --> 00:38:22

Allah is the most powerful, he could have given you victory. But a condition of victory was missing. So that's why I did not do it.

00:38:24 --> 00:38:26

And so, sometimes,

00:38:27 --> 00:38:31

we wonder, why our lives take

00:38:32 --> 00:38:38

a nasty turn, why we suffer different kinds of problems in our lives.

00:38:41 --> 00:38:43

Some, they tend to put the blame on Allah.

00:38:46 --> 00:38:54

And so here Allah is reminding us, that we are the ones who bring these problems upon our own selves.

00:38:56 --> 00:38:56

Number seven,

00:39:00 --> 00:39:02

preferring this dunya over the alpha.

00:39:06 --> 00:39:07

This was

00:39:10 --> 00:39:17

the reason for disobeying the command of the prophets on the laden and it yourself as Allah highlighted

00:39:19 --> 00:39:21

in these ayat, and so in

00:39:23 --> 00:39:31

verse 152, of Surah, Al Anon Allah says, mean Khamenei read dunya Amin Khomeini riddle.

00:39:33 --> 00:39:39

Some of you were after the dunya worldly gain, the spoils of war that you saw,

00:39:40 --> 00:39:43

and others they desired. The Alpha

00:39:45 --> 00:39:52

meaning those companions who remained position on the hill and did not go down even though it was tempting

00:39:54 --> 00:39:59

for them, you know, they had their sights on the reward of Allah

00:40:01 --> 00:40:04

And the story of our old man

00:40:05 --> 00:40:07

with the spoils of war

00:40:08 --> 00:40:09

is a very sad one.

00:40:11 --> 00:40:14

It started in the Battle of bedroom.

00:40:16 --> 00:40:16

Right?

00:40:17 --> 00:40:27

We spoke about this, when Allah revealed surah. And in fact, Surah Al empfang talks about the spoils of war. That's the meaning of attack.

00:40:29 --> 00:40:30

And we mentioned

00:40:31 --> 00:40:42

that robotic anisometropic law and he said, these ayat were revealed because we the Sahaba, disputed over the spoils of war, and our

00:40:44 --> 00:40:46

our clock will not appropriate,

00:40:48 --> 00:40:52

started fighting over who deserves this, this wealth.

00:40:54 --> 00:41:15

And then, in the Battle of boyhood, it was the spoils of war. That was the reason for these archers to come down from their positions. And so they were eager, when they saw the Muslims were winning now. And they're collecting the spoils of war and they wanted to join in. So they were humbled for the dunya.

00:41:19 --> 00:41:23

And this problem persisted in every generation after that,

00:41:25 --> 00:41:27

yes, there were some Muslims who learned the lesson.

00:41:29 --> 00:41:31

But then, many did not.

00:41:34 --> 00:41:35

Take one example.

00:41:37 --> 00:41:40

What stopped the Muslim conquest

00:41:43 --> 00:41:46

from continuing in Western Europe.

00:41:48 --> 00:41:50

It was the spoils of war.

00:41:53 --> 00:41:57

We all know that the Muslims they conquered. And Delos Spain.

00:41:58 --> 00:42:00

And so when they entered

00:42:01 --> 00:42:03

their commander, under man,

00:42:04 --> 00:42:06

I love I love up

00:42:08 --> 00:42:12

was their commander. And he kept on advancing, he didn't stop.

00:42:13 --> 00:42:14

He kept on going.

00:42:18 --> 00:42:22

Until he was leading the Muslims now into France.

00:42:24 --> 00:42:30

It's all like this succeeded in conquering almost two thirds of France.

00:42:31 --> 00:42:35

And they were now only 100 kilometers away from Paris.

00:42:38 --> 00:42:40

They were about to run over France.

00:42:42 --> 00:42:50

But by now, as they're moving forward, their army is just constantly moving forward, what's happening?

00:42:53 --> 00:42:54

As they're advancing,

00:42:56 --> 00:42:59

all of these spoils of war are coming in their hands,

00:43:00 --> 00:43:03

entire cities and towns with their treasures and

00:43:05 --> 00:43:09

and they're taking the women as captives.

00:43:11 --> 00:43:11

And so

00:43:12 --> 00:43:16

the soldiers are now starting to get distracted.

00:43:18 --> 00:43:23

And so instead of thinking about the enemy, they're now thinking about their share

00:43:25 --> 00:43:28

in the spoils of war, and so that is what we can.

00:43:29 --> 00:43:31

And so it was

00:43:33 --> 00:43:36

it was at this point that they suffered a major loss.

00:43:38 --> 00:43:40

And it was known as the lowest What

00:43:41 --> 00:43:42

ballarpur Shuhada.

00:43:44 --> 00:43:46

The Court of martyrs

00:43:47 --> 00:43:51

and it was given this name because of the huge amount

00:43:52 --> 00:43:53

of Muslims that were killed.

00:43:56 --> 00:44:01

And among them was their commander of the Roman law fiddly himself.

00:44:02 --> 00:44:15

And that marked the end of the Muslim advance in Western Europe. From there on, it was retreat upon retreat, they just kept on going backwards.

00:44:17 --> 00:44:18

Even though it was gradual.

00:44:20 --> 00:44:21

You know, it took about

00:44:22 --> 00:44:23

800 years

00:44:25 --> 00:44:28

before they were eventually forced out of Spain.

00:44:31 --> 00:44:33

But although it was slow,

00:44:34 --> 00:44:35

slowly but surely,

00:44:37 --> 00:44:49

you know, they retreated until they lost an endless and so the turning point was what the turning point was due to greed for liberty.

00:44:51 --> 00:44:54

Now I'm delighted when Mr. O'Donnell the alarm rang. He says

00:44:56 --> 00:44:59

I did not know that there was among us

00:45:01 --> 00:45:08

The Companions of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, people who prefer the dunya over to Africa.

00:45:09 --> 00:45:15

So he was referred to this verse, where Allah says, men coming up to dunya women come when you read it.

00:45:16 --> 00:45:28

among you are those who desire the dunya. And among you are those who desire to accurate. Who is Allah talking about here? He's talking about the believers, the Muslims, he's not talking about them when I feel good.

00:45:31 --> 00:45:31

And so,

00:45:34 --> 00:45:35

this tells us how

00:45:39 --> 00:45:43

Jihad FISA Villa exposes so many things,

00:45:44 --> 00:45:47

which would never have been discovered otherwise.

00:45:49 --> 00:45:51

We know about that concerning them when I feel good.

00:45:53 --> 00:46:00

There will be no way for us to know what is in their hearts except difficult circumstances like these, but also the believers.

00:46:03 --> 00:46:03

Number eight

00:46:06 --> 00:46:08

we should hold on fast to our deen

00:46:10 --> 00:46:14

it's a win the rumors had spread that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was killed.

00:46:17 --> 00:46:21

Some of the Muslims were psychologically defeated.

00:46:23 --> 00:46:24

And we mentioned this previously.

00:46:29 --> 00:46:36

When these rumors started to be spread, a group of the Muslims they started to retreat. And they said that's it.

00:46:37 --> 00:46:41

It's done and overwhelmed. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is dead.

00:46:43 --> 00:46:44

The deen

00:46:46 --> 00:46:46

is over with

00:46:48 --> 00:46:50

and now we should go to Abdullah it will be

00:46:51 --> 00:46:54

the leader of the McAfee goon. Perhaps he can help us

00:46:56 --> 00:47:00

in finding a peace treaty, a truce with Quraysh.

00:47:02 --> 00:47:05

And so Allah subhanahu wa taala teaches us a lesson here.

00:47:06 --> 00:47:11

Allah subhanho wa Taala says, We sorted out Emraan verse 144

00:47:12 --> 00:47:17

Well then we'll have middle Illa rasuluh Katakana Tamil Kadri Rousseau

00:47:18 --> 00:47:19

other in Mata

00:47:20 --> 00:47:28

o quoted in collab to Milan are called become Armenian colleague Anna hoppy he fell in your loop Rolla Hersha

00:47:29 --> 00:47:30

Casa de la Shakira

00:47:32 --> 00:47:34

Muhammad is no more than a messenger.

00:47:36 --> 00:47:38

Other messengers have gone before him.

00:47:39 --> 00:47:46

If he were to die, or to be killed, would you then go back to cover?

00:47:48 --> 00:47:57

Those who do so will not harm Allah whatsoever. And Allah will reward those who are grateful.

00:47:58 --> 00:48:05

So Allah tells them assumes that there have been messengers before Hamlet's on a long ride that you will sell them and they are now dead.

00:48:07 --> 00:48:09

Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is like all of them.

00:48:10 --> 00:48:13

And he too will die just like they died.

00:48:15 --> 00:48:30

Allah then questions and Muslims will they turn to cover after the death of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam just because Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has died, it doesn't mean that we have to give up

00:48:31 --> 00:48:32

what he has left us with.

00:48:33 --> 00:48:36

And so what we learned from this is

00:48:38 --> 00:48:41

that Islam does not depend on personalities.

00:48:42 --> 00:48:44

The fate of this religion does not

00:48:46 --> 00:48:48

hinge on any person

00:48:49 --> 00:48:50

or in fact any movement.

00:48:52 --> 00:48:56

Even if that person is the greatest

00:48:58 --> 00:49:01

as in the example of Mohamed salah, Lagna it was syndrome.

00:49:02 --> 00:49:05

Allah is telling us here that if

00:49:06 --> 00:49:07

let's say that he was killed

00:49:09 --> 00:49:11

does it mean that we're now going to abandon

00:49:13 --> 00:49:14

the mission that he left us with?

00:49:17 --> 00:49:22

And so there are some they do think this way. They think that if such and such person is killed,

00:49:24 --> 00:49:26

the advance of Islam will stop.

00:49:28 --> 00:49:32

And so victory is not dependent on any leader

00:49:33 --> 00:49:34

no matter how great he may be.

00:49:36 --> 00:49:39

And that's why aroma ribbon tabula right?

00:49:41 --> 00:49:44

He wanted to teach the Muslims this very lesson.

00:49:46 --> 00:49:53

Who was the commander of the Muslim armies in his type Khalid? Elite Radiohead.

00:49:54 --> 00:49:59

Remember we will have Bob Rhodiola who had he fired Khalid Eman will eat from his

00:50:00 --> 00:50:01

post as a general of was more,

00:50:03 --> 00:50:03

he fired.

00:50:05 --> 00:50:08

Why? Because he didn't want people to think

00:50:09 --> 00:50:12

that we are victorious because of him.

00:50:15 --> 00:50:19

He wanted the Muslims to put their trust back in Allah. The victory is from Allah.

00:50:22 --> 00:50:23

And so likewise, we should not

00:50:24 --> 00:50:36

depend on any particular leader. We shouldn't wait, as some Muslims do today. Oh, we're waiting for the Mati. When he comes, then we're going to fight

00:50:38 --> 00:50:39

nor should we put our

00:50:41 --> 00:50:42

all our hopes in,

00:50:43 --> 00:50:44

you know, certain

00:50:46 --> 00:50:46

countries,

00:50:48 --> 00:50:53

certain Muslim countries, or their armies know,

00:50:54 --> 00:50:56

the victory. If it comes, it will come from Allah.

00:50:57 --> 00:50:58

It will take him he says

00:51:00 --> 00:51:07

it was a preparation for the most catastrophic event that would ever happen to the Muslims.

00:51:08 --> 00:51:14

This event was so great that the Muslims needed to go through some sort of training

00:51:15 --> 00:51:16

to be prepared for it.

00:51:18 --> 00:51:19

And this event was

00:51:20 --> 00:51:24

the death of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:51:26 --> 00:51:29

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was everything for the sahaba.

00:51:31 --> 00:51:33

He is the one who brought them out

00:51:35 --> 00:51:36

of darkness into light.

00:51:38 --> 00:51:40

He was their source of Islam.

00:51:42 --> 00:51:46

They didn't have books or the Internet to teach them about Islam.

00:51:48 --> 00:51:50

So for them,

00:51:51 --> 00:51:52

to lose him

00:51:53 --> 00:51:56

was a great shock. It was a setback.

00:51:59 --> 00:52:03

And it could have also caused a psychological effect

00:52:05 --> 00:52:09

as it did for a group among them

00:52:10 --> 00:52:11

on that day that they have offered.

00:52:15 --> 00:52:30

But now Allah allow this to happen. And Allah allowed these rumors to be spread, that Mohammed has been killed in order to train the companions to train them. For for

00:52:32 --> 00:52:37

that day, when the Prophet SAW Selim eventually does end up passing away.

00:52:40 --> 00:52:42

And so that's why Allah says this year

00:52:44 --> 00:52:54

in this idea, that Muhammad is not but a messenger, other messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you then turn back

00:52:55 --> 00:52:59

and that is why Abu Bakar all day long right?

00:53:00 --> 00:53:03

After the death of Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam when some

00:53:04 --> 00:53:09

were in a state of shock, and they couldn't believe it, that he had died. He said to the people,

00:53:11 --> 00:53:21

whoever among you, worshipping, worships Muhammad, then let him know that Muhammad is dead, but whoever worships Allah, that Allah is alive and never dies.

00:53:23 --> 00:53:24

Number nine.

00:53:28 --> 00:53:36

There are some who put the blame for the death of Muslims on the Mujahideen

00:53:38 --> 00:53:45

and ALLAH SubhanA, WA Tada. Talks about this, in these verses of Surah, Allah Allah.

00:53:47 --> 00:53:48

Allah says,

00:53:49 --> 00:53:50

in Verse 154.

00:53:52 --> 00:53:59

What if I told God that I have met him and Fuso whom YOLO noon at the lair? He lived on healthy one night

00:54:02 --> 00:54:06

while others were disturbed by evil thoughts of Oh Allah,

00:54:07 --> 00:54:10

the thoughts of the days of Jaya Helia

00:54:12 --> 00:54:13

who is talking about here?

00:54:15 --> 00:54:16

The moon I feel good.

00:54:17 --> 00:54:25

Now to Luna Helena, Amina and embodiment che. They ask, Do we have any say in the matter?

00:54:27 --> 00:54:28

Remember in the beginning of the battle

00:54:31 --> 00:54:38

they had preferred that we stay here in Medina when the Prophet also consulted the Companions

00:54:39 --> 00:54:45

asking what should we do? The winner of the goon they said we should stay here and wait for the enemy to come here.

00:54:46 --> 00:54:54

They didn't want to go. So they're asking Do we have any say in the matter? Allah says, Call in Umrah Kula hula,

00:54:55 --> 00:54:59

say Oh, Mohammed, all matters are destined by Allah

00:55:02 --> 00:55:10

Your cool nephew and fusi him mad as we'll be doing like they conceal in their hearts. What they do not reveal to you

00:55:11 --> 00:55:17

you're cool Luna lo cannula nominal Emery show you oh now Cuttino Hoonah

00:55:18 --> 00:55:19

they say

00:55:20 --> 00:55:22

these hypocrites they say

00:55:23 --> 00:55:25

if we had any say in the matter

00:55:27 --> 00:55:30

none of us would have come to die here today.

00:55:32 --> 00:55:40

Meaning if Mohammed Al Salam had listened to us, today we will not have suffered so many casualties.

00:55:41 --> 00:56:00

Allah goes on to say good local to feeble you take on labor Rosalina cootie Valley human Katroo de la mala G him worrier bitterly Allahu mafioso Dori como yo machine so Matthew Kullu become wala Hua Allah even be that also do Allah says, say oh Hamlet,

00:56:01 --> 00:56:10

even if you were to remain in your homes, those among you who are destined to be killed, would have met the same fate.

00:56:12 --> 00:56:20

Through this, Allah tests, what is it within you? And he purifies what is in your hearts. And Allah knows best? What is hidden in the heart.

00:56:22 --> 00:56:26

So the Munna for your own will say, today, as they said

00:56:27 --> 00:56:28

1400 years ago,

00:56:30 --> 00:56:34

they will say why are the Muslims getting themselves into trouble?

00:56:35 --> 00:56:36

Why are the Muslims

00:56:38 --> 00:56:39

attacking the enemy?

00:56:41 --> 00:56:46

Allah is saying here that you were not killed on this day.

00:56:47 --> 00:56:50

Because you thought in jihad.

00:56:52 --> 00:56:57

It was a time of death that had come for these Shahada.

00:56:58 --> 00:57:03

And even if they had not come out, if they had remained in their homes,

00:57:04 --> 00:57:07

the ones whom Allah had destined for them to die, they would have died.

00:57:09 --> 00:57:13

So the people who blame the death of Muslims today

00:57:15 --> 00:57:16

on the Mujahideen

00:57:18 --> 00:57:18

are wrong.

00:57:19 --> 00:57:21

Like those who are saying today,

00:57:22 --> 00:57:30

in the current events that we are witnessing, that if only Hamas had not initiated

00:57:31 --> 00:57:32

the attack.

00:57:35 --> 00:57:39

The innocent lives will not have gone to waste.

00:57:40 --> 00:57:46

The Muslims would not have been slaughtered the way they are being slaughtered today.

00:57:47 --> 00:57:59

And so these people are only following in the footsteps of those who don't have your code. So Allah is teaching us a lesson here that when it comes to death,

00:58:01 --> 00:58:03

it is the decree of Allah.

00:58:05 --> 00:58:09

That people will die. Whenever the time comes.

00:58:11 --> 00:58:15

It doesn't make a difference, whether you go out or you stay at home.

00:58:16 --> 00:58:22

It doesn't make a difference. Whether the Muslims fight or they don't fight.

00:58:23 --> 00:58:33

You will die when Allah wills. And so here Allah is saying to these wounds of your own, do not blame the Battle of ocean for the deaths of the Muslims who died in

00:58:34 --> 00:58:35

number 10.

00:58:37 --> 00:58:39

Treating mistakes

00:58:40 --> 00:58:41

How did Allah treat

00:58:43 --> 00:58:45

the mistakes of the companions?

00:58:50 --> 00:58:54

Allah never praised the Muslims for their victory.

00:58:56 --> 00:58:57

Even after better

00:59:00 --> 00:59:07

there was no verse in the Quran, in which Allah praised the Muslims for their efforts.

00:59:10 --> 00:59:17

In fact, Allah said contrary to that, What did Allah say, in reference to the battle letter? And even this is

00:59:18 --> 00:59:25

in surah, Allah Emraan wa Magi Allahu Allahu il Bush Rolla Khan, while he touched on that in Nakuru been condemned.

00:59:26 --> 00:59:45

Allah made this meaning the reinforcement of the angels in the Battle of Godot. Allah says he only made it as good news for you and reassurance for your hearts. Woman nostru il laminine de la Hill Aziz al Hakim and victory is only from Allah, the Almighty the wise.

00:59:47 --> 00:59:53

So Allah did not give the Muslims credit for the battle a bit better.

00:59:56 --> 00:59:57

So this tells us something

00:59:59 --> 01:00:00

after the battle

01:00:00 --> 01:00:00

Did

01:00:01 --> 01:00:05

Allah wanted to clean the hearts of the Muslims?

01:00:06 --> 01:00:10

From all kinds of evil diseases of the heart,

01:00:12 --> 01:00:13

like pride

01:00:14 --> 01:00:15

and arrogance.

01:00:17 --> 01:00:19

Because this is a common trait

01:00:20 --> 01:00:21

among

01:00:23 --> 01:00:24

victorious or needs,

01:00:26 --> 01:00:33

they celebrate attributing the victory to themselves. And then what happens?

01:00:35 --> 01:00:36

They become tyrannical.

01:00:39 --> 01:00:46

That arrogance fills their hearts. And so Allah reminded the Muslims, that no,

01:00:47 --> 01:00:50

it's not because you did anything. But it's because

01:00:52 --> 01:00:55

Allah Who gave you this victory, Allah attributes the victory to himself.

01:00:57 --> 01:00:58

While in the Battle of ocean,

01:01:00 --> 01:01:01

what would you expect?

01:01:04 --> 01:01:07

You would expect a lot to reprimand

01:01:08 --> 01:01:12

the muscles to blame them for what they did, right?

01:01:13 --> 01:01:13

But he did.

01:01:16 --> 01:01:16

Remember,

01:01:18 --> 01:01:20

the Muslims were distressed

01:01:21 --> 01:01:23

and their morale was down.

01:01:25 --> 01:01:27

So instead of causing them more anguish,

01:01:29 --> 01:01:31

by blaming them, Allah instead

01:01:32 --> 01:01:39

lifted up their spirits by comforting them and telling them that Allah has forgiven you

01:01:41 --> 01:01:44

know, Muslims had committed a sin

01:01:46 --> 01:01:49

by disobeying the Prophet sallallahu manual so we're coming down from that hill

01:01:50 --> 01:01:58

and they committed a sin by being hungry for the dunya but in the end, what does Allah told them?

01:01:59 --> 01:02:06

That he has forgiven them? Allah says when I consider kakula Who are the WHO IS THE who soon are going to be

01:02:07 --> 01:02:14

had either for shield to Martinez or Tom Phil Emery what else we told him that rock metal bowl

01:02:16 --> 01:02:27

been coming up to dunya have been coming up don't ask you so much. sarafa Kumar, I'm home Lea Metalia con wala a quite a high fan.

01:02:28 --> 01:02:32

Although do football in Ireland, meaning, Allah says

01:02:33 --> 01:02:52

that after the initial victory, then your courage weakened. And you start to dispute about the command and disobeyed the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, after he had shown you that what you love the spoils of war. Some of you were after the dunya while others wanted to ask Allah.

01:02:54 --> 01:02:59

Allah says that he turned you back from them, meaning your enemy.

01:03:00 --> 01:03:07

He did not give you victory over them so that he may test you. But then Allah concludes by saying one aka the Ifat

01:03:08 --> 01:03:13

Yet Allah has pardoned you He has forgiven you. And the Lord is gracious to the believers.

01:03:14 --> 01:03:16

So the lesson we learned from this

01:03:17 --> 01:03:18

is

01:03:20 --> 01:03:27

that this is how Allah treat treated them for doing what they did. And so this is how we also must be

01:03:28 --> 01:03:46

always pardoning and forgiving others when someone makes a mistake. Even if he is sinful and wrong. We shouldn't add to the problem by reprimanding him and blaming him that if you hadn't done this, it wouldn't have happened like this.

01:03:48 --> 01:03:53

As long as the person is regretful and they repent.

01:03:55 --> 01:03:58

So this is how a light treated mistake.

01:04:00 --> 01:04:04

How did Rasul Allah He said Allah Allah He also deal with it.

01:04:07 --> 01:04:08

Allah tells us how he dealt with

01:04:09 --> 01:04:10

Allah says,

01:04:11 --> 01:04:14

For the mouth meant to mean Allah He didn't and

01:04:15 --> 01:04:19

when I couldn't afford one early he was on call billon for booming

01:04:21 --> 01:04:42

for everyone. We still feel low. We're shy, we're hopeful number for either as interfaith Okinawa in Allah, you will want our killing. Allah says, All Muhammad, it is out of Allah's mercy that you have been lenient towards them. So the prophets of love and it was sin was lenient with them.

01:04:45 --> 01:04:54

Allah says, had you been cruel or hard hearted? They would have certainly left you they would have run away from you.

01:04:55 --> 01:04:59

And then Allah says, So pardon them, ask Allah's forgiveness for them.

01:05:00 --> 01:05:02

and make sure with them, consult them

01:05:03 --> 01:05:08

in matters and then once you have made a decision after consultation

01:05:10 --> 01:05:15

then put your trust in Allah. Surely Allah loves those who trust.

01:05:17 --> 01:05:27

So Allah is telling Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that your Dawa is based on being lenient and soft,

01:05:29 --> 01:05:33

not being harsh in Word or speech or in your heart.

01:05:34 --> 01:05:40

And here Allah tells us that that is the approach that rasool Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam took

01:05:42 --> 01:05:44

after everything that happened in the Battle of Word,

01:05:46 --> 01:05:47

even though

01:05:48 --> 01:05:49

you know he could have

01:05:50 --> 01:05:51

come down hard on them.

01:05:53 --> 01:06:01

Right? We understand Allah, pardon them. Allah is who he is. But Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

01:06:02 --> 01:06:03

is a human being.

01:06:06 --> 01:06:15

And any human being in such a situation, he's going to become angry, and his anger is going to overtake him. But Allah praises the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam

01:06:16 --> 01:06:18

for not having acted in that way.

01:06:19 --> 01:06:29

And then Allah tells him to pardon them, meaning these archers who disobeyed him and came down Allah Saint pardon them and ask Allah to forgive them.

01:06:30 --> 01:06:35

So imagine, they suffered because of these archers.

01:06:36 --> 01:06:41

You know, imagine rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is injured because of their mistake.

01:06:42 --> 01:06:49

70 Muslims were killed because of their mistake. And then Allah tells him to party.

01:06:51 --> 01:06:52

Not only that,

01:06:53 --> 01:06:59

below, but Allah also wanted him to ask Allah for forgiveness, for forgiveness for them.

01:07:01 --> 01:07:02

And then Allah says,

01:07:04 --> 01:07:04

What shall we do?

01:07:07 --> 01:07:10

We spoke about surer in the beginning of the battle, right?

01:07:11 --> 01:07:14

And how some of the Muslims, especially the ones who had missed out

01:07:16 --> 01:07:23

in the Battle of whether they were asking the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, to go out and fight,

01:07:24 --> 01:07:25

are offered.

01:07:27 --> 01:07:28

And we mentioned how this was not

01:07:30 --> 01:07:33

the view of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself.

01:07:35 --> 01:07:41

His view had actually coincided with the hypocrites, he thought we should stay here in Medina.

01:07:42 --> 01:07:47

But in the end, these companions who wanted to go out to fight, they were insisting,

01:07:48 --> 01:07:53

and we mentioned how the process, he came out in his

01:07:55 --> 01:07:58

armor. And he said, we're going down, we're going out to a hurt

01:08:00 --> 01:08:04

all of this was after what, after the protocols and made sure

01:08:06 --> 01:08:09

after he consulted the Companions, now

01:08:12 --> 01:08:12

post battle.

01:08:15 --> 01:08:19

Many of the Muslims may have thought that this was

01:08:20 --> 01:08:21

the wrong decision.

01:08:24 --> 01:08:25

Maybe we should not have done that.

01:08:29 --> 01:08:31

And so what is Allah told in the Prophet SAW Selim here?

01:08:33 --> 01:08:34

Say no.

01:08:36 --> 01:08:36

consultant.

01:08:39 --> 01:08:41

And so even if

01:08:42 --> 01:08:46

consultation led you to that was that

01:08:47 --> 01:08:50

Allah is saying don't let that to prevent you

01:08:51 --> 01:09:00

from ever making sure again, Shura is the right way to go. And once the decision is made, then we put our trust in

01:09:02 --> 01:09:03

number 11.

01:09:05 --> 01:09:07

Numbers are not a factor

01:09:09 --> 01:09:10

in

01:09:11 --> 01:09:12

deciding

01:09:13 --> 01:09:14

the victory,

01:09:15 --> 01:09:16

or defeat.

01:09:19 --> 01:09:21

And we know about this concerning

01:09:22 --> 01:09:23

which battle

01:09:25 --> 01:09:34

the battle is better. And that's obvious. Right? The Muslims were outnumbered and yet they were victorious. How about the battle

01:09:40 --> 01:09:41

there are some Muslims.

01:09:43 --> 01:09:43

In fact,

01:09:45 --> 01:09:50

some movements that are based on a false hypothesis.

01:09:52 --> 01:09:53

They say

01:09:54 --> 01:09:59

in order for the owner to succeed and be victorious we have to make

01:10:00 --> 01:10:04

Make sure that everyone is on board, meaning the entire

01:10:06 --> 01:10:21

everyone has to be practicing and committed to Islam. And no one should be disobeying Allah and no one should be committing sins. Once we reach that level, then and only then will we be victorious.

01:10:24 --> 01:10:42

They say as long as we have Muslims who are not praying, Muslims who are committing sins, then we are never going to win. And we are never going to win until the Muslims who show up for Fajr prayer in the masjid are equal to the ones who show up for salatu. Juma.

01:10:47 --> 01:10:51

However, this is an incorrect hypothesis.

01:10:53 --> 01:10:54

This doesn't mean

01:10:55 --> 01:10:59

that we don't encourage others and the owner

01:11:00 --> 01:11:04

to return back to the deal. No, that's not what I mean.

01:11:06 --> 01:11:14

What I mean is that there will always be more Muslims who pray and come up for July then

01:11:15 --> 01:11:16

those who show up for Fudger.

01:11:18 --> 01:11:26

And there will always be Muslims, who will be committing sins. And there will always be Muslims who are not fulfilling

01:11:27 --> 01:11:36

their basic obligations. If you are waiting for victory, when all the Muslims are obedient, then that will never happen.

01:11:37 --> 01:11:44

And the proof that this hypothesis is wrong, is the fact that in the Battle of offered what happened

01:11:45 --> 01:11:46

a huge chunk

01:11:48 --> 01:11:50

of the Muslim army defected.

01:11:51 --> 01:11:53

Imagine a third of the army

01:11:54 --> 01:11:56

as they're marching towards

01:11:57 --> 01:11:59

the hypocrites, they withdraw.

01:12:07 --> 01:12:08

The question is

01:12:10 --> 01:12:11

Did that

01:12:12 --> 01:12:15

affect the outcome of the battle of orphaned

01:12:17 --> 01:12:18

meaning

01:12:19 --> 01:12:24

if the munafo Cool had stayed in the army, would the Muslims have been victorious?

01:12:27 --> 01:12:27

answer is no.

01:12:29 --> 01:12:30

And so

01:12:33 --> 01:12:37

their numbers decreasing on the day of oil was not

01:12:38 --> 01:12:40

why they lost on that day.

01:12:43 --> 01:12:47

This was not mentioned in all the areas that we mentioned

01:12:48 --> 01:12:56

in relation to the balance of it, not once it Allah mentioned this as being the reason for their loss, but rather what was the reason

01:12:57 --> 01:13:02

that this will be the disobedience of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

01:13:05 --> 01:13:06

In fact,

01:13:07 --> 01:13:12

Allah tells us about another battle that will happen later on. Which battle was that?

01:13:15 --> 01:13:15

Not

01:13:16 --> 01:13:17

the Battle of your name.

01:13:20 --> 01:13:27

Allah mentions that the Muslims were more in number. This was after the conquest of Mecca.

01:13:28 --> 01:13:29

And now

01:13:30 --> 01:13:31

you know, the Muslims

01:13:32 --> 01:13:33

are increasing in numbers.

01:13:35 --> 01:13:40

And so when the Muslims marched to her name, they were impressed. We have a huge army

01:13:42 --> 01:13:44

our enemy doesn't stand a chance now.

01:13:46 --> 01:14:09

So what does Allah say about that? Allah says it's what the Tobin a continuous what Akuma Allahu Fimo Albina cathedra while young Mahoney in in Hyderabad jaboticaba Castro to confirm to me Hancom che and although Katya and walga, Kota Alikum will be in our alphabet. So now we're led to believe. Allah says Indeed, Allah has given you victory on many battlefields.

01:14:11 --> 01:14:16

And at the Battle of her name, when you took pride in your great numbers,

01:14:17 --> 01:14:20

but they proved of no advantage to you,

01:14:21 --> 01:14:27

the earth despite its vastness seem to close in on you, and then you turn back and retreat.

01:14:31 --> 01:14:32

And so,

01:14:33 --> 01:14:36

since there will always be mafia Kuhn

01:14:37 --> 01:14:39

among us in this OMA

01:14:42 --> 01:14:46

they will never affect the outcome of any battle.

01:14:48 --> 01:14:48

Whether it be

01:14:50 --> 01:14:51

you know, a victory or a defeat.

01:14:53 --> 01:14:58

The outcome is affected by a core group of the Muslims.

01:15:01 --> 01:15:04

and they are apart if I'm not sure.

01:15:07 --> 01:15:17

That saved group, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has told us in several different Hadith, that there will always be a group from my own

01:15:21 --> 01:15:22

a small group,

01:15:23 --> 01:15:25

they are the core group,

01:15:26 --> 01:15:28

and they will always be victorious

01:15:30 --> 01:15:33

and they will never be harmed by those who criticize them.

01:15:37 --> 01:15:39

And so, if this core group stray,

01:15:40 --> 01:15:41

then yes,

01:15:43 --> 01:15:44

you know, the outcome of the battle

01:15:46 --> 01:15:47

will be affected,

01:15:50 --> 01:15:51

but not

01:15:52 --> 01:15:54

the vast majority of the.

01:15:56 --> 01:16:00

And so, we see this in the Battle of Lyford, it was the core group

01:16:02 --> 01:16:03

when they disobeyed

01:16:05 --> 01:16:09

them, you know, the Muslims, they suffered the loss that they did.

01:16:10 --> 01:16:11

It wasn't

01:16:12 --> 01:16:13

the 300 that left with

01:16:15 --> 01:16:16

from the Lord will be

01:16:17 --> 01:16:18

finally,

01:16:20 --> 01:16:23

if Allah wants to give you victory,

01:16:24 --> 01:16:25

that no power on earth

01:16:27 --> 01:16:28

can stop that from happening.

01:16:30 --> 01:16:31

And so we should fear no one

01:16:35 --> 01:16:37

will give victory to Musa alayhis salam

01:16:39 --> 01:16:41

even though he was fighting for

01:16:46 --> 01:16:53

it so this lesson we learned again, from these verses in Surah Ali Imran so Allah says

01:16:54 --> 01:16:55

in verse 160,

01:16:57 --> 01:17:10

Indian sort of Kamala, who felt our hearty Bella comb, what II don't come from Indian lady on solocom mean bad, while Allah He fell yet our Korean mean, if Allah helps you,

01:17:11 --> 01:17:12

then none can defeat you.

01:17:13 --> 01:17:15

But if he denies you help,

01:17:16 --> 01:17:18

then who else can help you after that?

01:17:19 --> 01:17:27

And so in Allah let the believers put their trust. And so we should rely upon Allah alone.

01:17:28 --> 01:17:35

If we do not rely upon Allah, that he will forsake us. He will forsake us I

01:17:37 --> 01:17:40

will conclude with one last lesson.

01:17:42 --> 01:17:43

And that is obeying Allah

01:17:45 --> 01:17:48

at times of ease as well as

01:17:49 --> 01:17:50

at times of difficulty.

01:17:52 --> 01:18:02

And so one of the characteristics of the munaf yakun in this battle was the refusal to fight in the beginning

01:18:03 --> 01:18:05

because of their fear of death.

01:18:07 --> 01:18:10

But now when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam returned,

01:18:11 --> 01:18:13

and the next morning he said, Let's go chase the enemy.

01:18:18 --> 01:18:20

These hypocrites, they showed up

01:18:23 --> 01:18:24

why because

01:18:25 --> 01:18:26

they thought

01:18:27 --> 01:18:28

there's a good chance of

01:18:31 --> 01:18:31

victory.

01:18:33 --> 01:18:36

We're treating them as you're leaving to Mecca.

01:18:37 --> 01:18:41

So they wanted to join for the sake of the dunya.

01:18:42 --> 01:18:45

So rasool Allah, He Salam and Hillsong refused to allow them to join.

01:18:47 --> 01:18:51

He only allowed those who had participated in the Battle of art.

01:18:53 --> 01:18:54

And so

01:18:56 --> 01:19:00

the Munna Khun, they refuse to submit

01:19:02 --> 01:19:05

when sacrifice was required, but they wanted to,

01:19:07 --> 01:19:09

to join when, when it was easy.

01:19:10 --> 01:19:14

And so when a person follows Islam when

01:19:15 --> 01:19:16

there's something in it for him,

01:19:18 --> 01:19:20

and then turns back

01:19:22 --> 01:19:36

when sacrifices required, then this is a sign of NIFA. It's a sign of hypocrisy. And it applies to many different situations. And this is where we need to check ourselves.

01:19:37 --> 01:19:39

Do we become excited when

01:19:41 --> 01:19:49

a certain Islamic activity has a worldly benefit? But when it becomes demanding and requires sacrifice, we back off.

01:19:50 --> 01:19:52

And that's why he says

01:19:53 --> 01:19:59

that one of the benefits of the battle that offered is to show the real booty of Allah

01:20:02 --> 01:20:05

To show the servitude of Allah

01:20:07 --> 01:20:09

of the companions,

01:20:10 --> 01:20:17

that they are willing to worship Allah in times of ease, as well as in times of difficulty.

01:20:18 --> 01:20:28

So if they are affirmed and steadfast upon their deed in both situations, then this is a sign of their true and Obadiah their true servitude.

01:20:31 --> 01:20:35

That is unlike people who only worship Allah in one condition.

01:20:37 --> 01:20:42

So sometimes people worship Allah when things get tough, or when things are easy.

01:20:43 --> 01:20:47

And then, when things get tough,

01:20:49 --> 01:20:50

they start, they stop.

01:20:52 --> 01:20:52

Or

01:20:54 --> 01:21:00

some people, they only remember Allah in difficult times, and then they forget him.

01:21:02 --> 01:21:03

In easy times,

01:21:05 --> 01:21:07

like, if you lose your job

01:21:09 --> 01:21:23

you're making to add in every dua in every Salut. In every time, when do I is accepted? You're asking what, what Allah give me a job. And then when you get that job you start making.

01:21:26 --> 01:21:33

So this is an example of people who only worship Allah in one state in one condition.

01:21:34 --> 01:21:39

And Allah has told us an example of these people. For example, the moose recall

01:21:41 --> 01:21:54

that when they are stuck in the middle of the ocean, and the waves come down on them, and they think that they're gonna die at once, they put their hands up to Allah, and said, Oh, Allah save us.

01:21:55 --> 01:22:06

And if you save us, we're going to be grateful to you. And then when Allah saves them, and they're now on shore, and they're safe, they go back to their idol worship

01:22:10 --> 01:22:12

as a lot of insurance, also.

01:22:14 --> 01:22:17

And so TechWomen a Nassima. Yeah, but Allah, Allah health

01:22:22 --> 01:22:32

how some people, they only worship Allah in one condition. And then when things get tough, or when things become easy, they change. And so the Battle of our foot shows us

01:22:35 --> 01:23:05

that a sign of Eman is that you are in it in both the thick and the thin, the good times the easy times as well as the tough times. And it is a sign of hypocrisy if you only show your face and you show up when things are easy or in your favor. And so these are, as I said only some of the many many lessons that can be learned from the battle of Orford in sha Allah Montana next week.

01:23:06 --> 01:23:07

We'll move on to

01:23:08 --> 01:23:18

the next events that take place in the seagull in the spirit of the Prophet saw the log and it will say Subhan Allah who will be handed a shadow will learn

01:23:19 --> 01:23:28

best of luck hour to Lake wa sallahu wa salam ala Nabina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.
