The heart is the most significant organ of the human body, both physically and spiritually. Thus, we need to strive to make sure our hearts are sound, healthy and free of every defect. The Prophet (SAW) said, “There is a piece of flesh in the body, if healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart.”

The heart is the most important organ in the human body and is the most important organ in terms of health. The illness of the heart is caused by a lack of balance, internal factors like fever and humidity, and external factors like temperature and humidity. Healthy hearts have a sound and healthy heart, but can also be damaged by injury or exposure to toxins. The three basic principles of healthy heart protection include preserving strength, protecting from harm, and cleansing the heart of all harmful substances. The cause of diseases of the heart is the combination of factors like the heart's light and ability to recognize and reject temptation, and the heart's health and the need for attention.

Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim, Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam. ala Kalani Allah, Allah urged marine. While early he was so happy woman, Sarah Island g when we had the ILA Yomi Dean, Abed Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. Welcome to this latest episode of heart therapy.
In the previous episode, we looked at some of the symptoms of a diseased heart,
a sick heart. And that is because the hearts are basically divided into three kinds, you have the sound and healthy heart. And then you have the dead heart. And then you have
the sick or the diseased heart.
And most
people, they have this kind of heart the diseased or the sick heart. And that is a heart that has some life. But it also gets affected
by various diseases, and so it becomes
diseased but not fully dead.
And so in this episode, we want to look at some of the causes that lead to the sickness of the heart. And so there are certain things, certain causes, that when they are present, the heart becomes disease. And so the sickness of the body, the sickness of the physical body, is when it strays away from its natural way of functioning, due to
some external factor
that throws it off course.
And so thereby corrupts its senses. And its natural movement. It corrupts either its senses, or its natural movement. And so either
his affected senses go away completely, like a person who becomes blind, or he becomes deaf, or they weaken the senses, they weaken, such as those who have an impairment in their eyes.
And so they require glasses in order to see properly
or those who cannot hear properly, but they are not completely deaf.
Or they perceive things through their affected senses, contrary to the reality, like perceiving something that is sweet, to be bitter, somebody who has a problem with his taste, and so he tastes something that is actually in reality, it is sweet, but it seems to him that it is bitter, or something that is healthy
in itself. But when he eats it, he thinks that it is harmful. And so he does not like it.
As for the natural movement of the body. This is, first of all this that we spoke about is regarding the senses becoming affected. Now we look at the natural movement, the natural movement of the body, it becomes affected by diseases, and so it throws it off of its natural course. And so for example, someone who has an ailment with respect to his stomach, he has diarrhea or he has constipation.
What happens is
his digestive system becomes weak. And so it throws off course, similar to that is the immune system. Someone who has a fever or flu, his immune system becomes weakened, and so he is more prone to diseases and he could easily pick up other diseases.
And so the person who has a physical ailment or disease from
a certain thing that is painting him that is causing him to suffer.
It is according to how far his suffering will be according to how far he is from his natural course. And so the cause for this is either one of two things, what causes his ailment, what causes his disease, one of two things, either quantity or quality. And so
a defect in quantity is either having a deficiency in something that he needs, or an increase of it, either he has a deficiency in something that he needs, for example, he needs water, and he's not getting enough water in his body. Or, for example, he is in need of, let's say, calcium, his bones are weak. So, he is in need of calcium, he, he has a deficiency in his calcium, or he has deficiency in his iron that causes him to become weak, or he has too much of something. So this is a defect in quantity, as for a defect in quality, either he has an increase in his temperature, or a decrease in his temperature, or there is too much humidity or his body is too dry,
and so on and so forth. And so there is no balance. And this is regarding the quality.
And so, why am I mentioning all of this, once we understand this, this is regarding our physical bodies, and the diseases and ailments that affect our good health. Once we understand this, we understand that the sickness of the spiritual heart is caused also by an external factor.
It is caused by something that comes in and throws it off balance, it throws that heart that is supposed to be going and moving straight upon the Straight Path of Allah, it throws it off course. And which course is that which course is it, that it throws it off, it is the natural disposition that Allah created upon, and that is the fitrah as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us that every single child is born upon the fitrah, the natural disposition to recognize a loss of Hannah, who would have had to recognize the need to believe in Him and to worship Him. So Hannah, What?
What did the prophet SAW Selim them say, he said, then his parents turn him into a Christian, or they turn him into a Jew, or they turn him into a fire worshiper.
And so, this external factor, this external factor, that causes the natural disposition, to basically become imbalanced, and cause the heart to become imbalanced.
Basically, it causes the heart to visualize the truth as being something else.
And so,
his perception of what the truth is,
becomes different than the reality of what the truth is. So he no longer sees the truth as being the truth,
or he sees the truth contrary to what it really is, or his perception of the truth decreases, and that therefore causes him to have less interest in it.
Now, not only that, but also just like the sick body, the diseased body is disturbed by very little change in its in its temperature, or in its movement.
To the extent that a healthy body is not meaning a healthy body, no matter how high the temperature is, or how low the temperature is, it could adjust to that temperature, but the sick body,
the disease body.
If the temperature changes slightly,
it starts to suffer.
And it no longer can function properly.
Likewise, the sick heart, the diseased heart, it is disturbed by the very slightest, of shubo hat and Shahada, the Shu heart are the doubts the uncertainty, that shaytaan whispers into our hearts. And chawan are the lustful desires that we want to fulfill that our knifes our soul wants to fulfill the physical, lustful desires. And so
the very slightest, of these shoe hat or chawan, that come to the heart, that disease hurt, it immediately falls into the trap of Trayvon.
And so it is unable to ward off even the slightest, of shewhart, or Shahada, as opposed to the healthy and sound heart. It is able to ward off even the greatest of Shahada. And she will have and the greatest example of that is what Allah subhanho wa Taala told us about one of his greatest prophets and messengers, use of it his Salaam.
And so in the story of use of Allah, his Salaam, we know that he was basically exposed to a very, very huge fitna, and that is the fitness of women. And so the wife of the ruler, the Aziz of Egypt, he was living use value his lamb was living in that house. And she came to him and she was beautiful. And look at who she was. And yet she was trying to lure use of alayhis salaam into an illicit relationship.
Now if that was any other ordinary human being, he would easily fall trap to that. Why because most people they don't have a certain level of that sound and perfect healthy heart. However, a loss of Hannah who would tada he gifted use of it has Salaam by sound and healthy heart
that was able to ward off even such a huge fitna, like this. And remember that use of Hydra Salaam, he was not an old man at the time, he was a young, youthful individual. But yet, because of his sound heart, Allah subhana wa Taala protected him. And so what we learned from this is that those with a sound and healthy heart, even the greatest of fit in, they're able to ward off.
We'll take a short break here, and then continue in a few moments.
Salam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh welcome back to this episode of heart therapy.
In this episode, we have been speaking about the causes for diseased hearts. Why is it that hearts become diseased? What are some of the causes. Now,
when it comes to physical ailments, physical bodily diseases,
the doctors they agree that being healthy revolves around three basic principles. If you want to live a healthy life, free of ailments free of illnesses. then focus on three principles. Number one,
preserve your strength, meaning, live a healthy lifestyle, eat properly,
give your body the proper exercise that it needs. And so on and so forth. So, preservation of strength.
The second is protecting your body from all harm
protecting your body from
Everything that will harm it. And this takes this comes basically in the form of immunization. And so, small children, we give them vaccinations to basically protect them from various diseases that they can become exposed to. And so this is the second principal protection from everything that harms the body. The third principle is to clear out
or to cleanse the body of all toxins,
everything that is in the body already that is harmful, get rid of it, flush out the body of these toxins. And this, there are many different ways of doing it, and it is known as detoxing the body.
One of the most common ways is by for example, going on a certain diet, only drinking a certain fluid for 24 hours or 48 hours until your body is completely cleansed out of all toxins and harmful substances.
So these are the three principles for a healthy body.
Once this is understood, we can understand that our hearts
also require these same three principles. And so the first is something that will preserve its strength. We need something to preserve the strength of the heart.
What preserves it, what preserves its strength, what preserves its strength is enough, filling it with a man and good deeds.
The second is to protect it from harm, what protects it from harm? What protects it from harm, is staying away from sins, staying away from all evil sins. And so, if you stay away from sins, this will protect your heart from becoming diseased. And the third is cleansing the heart of all harmful substances. What is it that would clear the heart of filth?
What clears the heart of all filth is sincere repentance to Allah subhana wa tada from our sins and constantly
seeking the forgiveness of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Constantly recognizing our sins, and then turning to Allah in repentance, a person who turns to Allah in repentance from his sins, it basically means that he regrets having committed those sins, and he makes a strong determination to never go back to that sin. When that happens, when that happens, Allah subhanho wa Taala forgives the individual and those things basically leave the heart And so He cleanses his heart of that filth.
Now, having said that, there are basically two main causes that lead to all sicknesses and diseases of the heart. And these two causes are basically summarized into L fitna, and aloha flap and fitna, and Alaska.
As for the first
I'll fitna is basically loosely translated as a trial or tribulation, something that Allah subhanho wa Taala tests us with. And so, the temptations, the temptations to which the heart is exposed to
those temptations or what causes it sickness. And that is when we submit to those temptations. And so these are the temptations these are the fitting of a shoe hat and a shower.
And in the hadith of Hodeidah, imminently Mr. Ravi, Allahu Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he spoke about how it is these fitten that the heart is exposed to, and what happens as a result the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
that Phaeton or
temptations or trials
are presented to the heart they are exposed to the heart, one by one, any heart that accepts them will be left with a black stain, a black.or, a black stain will be left on the heart. But any heart that rejects that rejects that fitna. Then what happens?
A wait mark, or a wait
spot remains on the heart.
And that is a mark of purity. So that the hearts are of two kinds. He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, the hearts are of two kinds, the dark heart that has turned away and become and that has become like an overturned vessel. And a pure heart that will never be harmed by any temptation, as long as the heavens and the earth exists. Then he said, The Dark heart only recognizes good and denounces evil, when this suits its desires, and its whims.
And so the Prophet salallahu, alayhi wasallam. Here, he placed the hearts when they are exposed to and fitting into two categories. The first is
the heart, which, when it is exposed to a temptation, it absorbs that temptation, like a sponge that soaks up water, leaving a black stain on the heart. And so it continues to absorb each temptation that it is offered with until it becomes darkened and corrupted, which is what is meant by when he said, like an overturned vessel, when this happens to dangerous illnesses take hold of the heart and plunge it into ruin. The first is that the person becomes confused as to what is good, and what is evil to such an extent that he does not recognize good from evil. He does not accept the good, and he does not denounce what is evil.
The second dangerous illness is that he sets up its desires as its judge. And so it's judge the judge for the heart. How does it decide what to do, based on his desires, so whatever is fulfilling to its desires, he will do it, and whatever is not fulfilling to its desires, he will not do it. And so he goes against the commandments of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And the commandments of the Prophet sallallahu. Ali was. So this is the first kind of heart that Professor Salah mentioned in the title. The second kind of heart is the pure heart, which has the light of a man. And so the light of a man is bright. And from this heart radiance shines. And so when temptation is presented to this heart,
it opposes it, and rejects it. And so the light and the illumination only increases. And so we have two kinds of hearts, we have the black darkened heart, and we have the white, shining heart, what causes the heart to become black, and what causes it to become become white and shining.
It is the result of either accepting the fitting or rejecting them.
So this is the first cause for the diseases of the heart.
And that is how one responds to ill fitting the second.
The second cause for the hearts to become diseased is an awful lot as I mentioned. And so when the heart becomes heedless, the meaning of reflux is heedlessness or negligence. And so when the heart becomes heedless of Allah and heedless of his commands, and heedless of the Day of Judgment, what happens is
that the person, his heart becomes diseased. And so, the cause for heedlessness of Allah subhanho wa Taala is that the heart does not remember him, and it attaches itself to other than him. The cause for heedlessness of obeying
Wise commandments is not showing any interest to what Allah has commanded, preferring the base desires over the commandments of Allah subhana wa Tada. And what causes the heedlessness of the last day is that the heart does not have anything to remind it, of the of the Day of Resurrection. And so it has nothing to remind it of death, and what comes after death, of the resurrection of the existence of Paradise and Hellfire and so on, and so forth. And so these are the two main causes for the diseases of the heart. I asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to protect us from all causes that lead to the sickness and the death of the heart, and in sha Allah who to Allah with. With this, we come
to the end of this episode, and we will come back in the near future with another episode of art therapy until then subhanak Aloha, Moby Dick, Ash hydrilla and pesto Furukawa to be like, what Salaam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh I've been doing
