Dawah Training #3 – Reward of Dawah

Salam, alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Peace, blessings and mercy be upon you all. Welcome to the third episode of Tao Thursdays. And in our episode, today, we are going to be looking at some of the motivations and rewards in performing Dharma, I would like you guys to have a look at the following image on the screen. Now if this man was to walk past you on the street, or he was to sit on the bench, or you're at $1 table and he walks past your table, would you stop this individual? And you tell them that Listen, I want to tell you a little bit more about Islam, or to start a profound question with them, would you feel comfortable in approaching them. And I want you guys to be

honest, please let us know in the comment sections below. And I will definitely have a look at those. Now, I would like you guys to have a look at this image. This man that we saw in the previous photo, he actually embraced Islam. Now there is a very important lesson to be learned here. Someone had to approach this individual and to tell them that listen, I'd love for you what a love for myself. And I want to tell you a little bit more about what I believe and what I stand for. And this is Islam. Someone had to approach this individual to teach them more about it as to what we believe. And fundamentally, we need to learn that we can't judge the book by its exterior, that we need to

approach individuals and have profound conversations with them regarding the things that are most important to share the message of Islam to share the message of Tallinn and to guide them closer upon this path. Now there are some things that we will learn by performing down and eventually will grow within you. But the first of these is that we learn to develop empathy. Empathy can be defined as the ability to enter into another person's personality and imaginatively experiencing his or her feet. In short, this means to place yourself into the shoes of another individuals. And fundamentally, once you are able to do this, you can read their emotions and psychologically and

physiologically understand the situations that they find themselves in. And through this, you can also build a very strong report with them or relationship so they can understand that you're truly there to care for them. And that you're not just there to share a message or just to talk to them. But you're really there because you are concerned about them, and that you want to uplift them and you want to learn more about them. Allah subhanho wa Taala also tells us something very important within the Quran, when it comes to performing Dharma and inviting others towards his way of life. He says within the Holy Quran in chapter 41, verse 33, and who is better in speech than one who invites

towards Allah and does righteous deeds and said, Indeed, I am of the Muslims. So fundamentally, what Allah subhanho wa Taala is telling us here is that there is no greater thing that we can do in speech than to invite other people towards this way of Islam, and to invite them upon the spot. What Allah subhana wa Taala is also telling us in this verse is that we need to be righteous. So we need to perform acts of goodness, because fundamentally, we need to practice what Republicans, we can't just go out there and propagate one thing and invite people to follow upon this path. While we are in a completely different path, but we do not do righteous deeds at all. And finally, it is also

very important for us to declare that we are Muslims, and to be proud of who we are where we come from. Now, I'm not talking about egotistical pride, saying that we are better than anybody else. But fundamentally, we need to understand that this is a gift that has been given to us. Being a Muslim is truly a gift. Many of us have been born into Muslim families, some of us have chosen this religion, my my son, but ultimately we need to understand that this gift that Allah Subhana Allah has given to us is pure and it is truth. And when we propagate this that we are Muslim to other individuals, they look at our lives they look at us as symbols or examples of what Islam is about,

and that can call many people towards Islam. Our Prophet Muhammad Peace, blessings and mercy be upon him also declared that there are many forms of reward that come with performing gala and we'd like to share some of these with you today in Hadith Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, he declares the following By Allah, if Allah were to guide one man through you, it would be better for you than the best type of camels. Now you might be asking brother Ashraf, I don't really want a camel, nor do I understand this analogy. Now, if we look at the time of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and the best of candles, we work in drawers similar to to something in our time and age. The following

image might give you a good example as to what this really means. Now, of course, the intentions of going out there to invite people towards the way of Allah subhanho wa Taala is not purely based on the rewards but it is in our hearts to do something for Allah and to share the knowledge that he has blessed us with to call others towards this path. And there's another beautiful happy I would like to share with you in Sahih Muslim, our beloved Prophet peace and blessings be upon him says whoever guides another to a good deed will get a reward similar to the one who performs it. Whenever this person performs will do whenever this person makes a lot whenever this person gives something in

charity or does a good deed to those in their community, fundamentally

You will gain the reward as if you're doing it yourself. Now, this is absolutely unimaginable. We can't even accumulate this or calculate this with our human minds. So fundamentally you need to understand how greater reward it is to call others towards this way of life. Now this brings me to another beautiful IPS where our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him said the following, and hobbies, you will not really believe until you love your brother, what you'd love for yourself with this hobby in mind, I want you guys to sit and contemplate, what do you guys love most within this life, and most of us will say that we love Allah subhanaw taala, the Almighty Creator

more than anything, and we love this path, we are on this path of Islam. Now, just think about this, our beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him said that we should love for others would be love for ourselves. But what greater way to love others than to wanting to call them towards Islam, and wanting to bring them towards this peace, to bring them towards this knowing to bring them upon this revelation that we have been gifted by the Almighty Creator through His mercy, and through his guidance. Performing Dharma also builds a closer connection between you and the Holy Quran, because you're continually reminded of this beautiful revelation and you're continually reciting it. And you

continually bringing people towards this revelation and inviting them to read it for themselves. And there are many examples of this within the Holy Quran. For instance, in the Holy Quran in chapter 21, verse 25, we find a beautiful verse which reads as follows. And we did not send any messenger before you know Mohammed. But we revealed to him saying none has the right to be worshipped, but I so worship. So we would use some of the verses like us to speak to people around us to share these verses with them. And in doing this, we grow closer towards the Quran. Because we memorize these verses, we learn to understand the meaning of it. And finally, performing down makes you a companion

of the prophets, because their mission was to go out and to share the message and to call people closer towards the Almighty Creator, to declare that man has the right to be worshipped but him to declare that we should only submit and surrender ourselves onto him and to follow the ways in which he has taught us to live our lives. And when we do this, when we go out there to invite people towards his way of life, we follow in the footsteps of prophets.
