that we responded to the one who called

us to your iman to believe in you

and worship you alone meaning the prophet sallallahu

alaihi wasallam. We heard him say believe in

you, O Lord, and we believed. So they

ask Allah for forgiveness for their sins, expiation

of their evil deeds, and that they should

00:02:19--> 00:02:21

die with the righteous and be from amongst

the righteous.

And they ask Allah

that they that he grants them and bestows

upon them everything that he promised to them

by and and through their messengers, through the

messenger that he sent to them. And that

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala doesn't disgrace them on

Yomul Qiyama for indeed the promises of Allah

are always true. Those are the duas in

the passage that we began it's tafsir in

with this final passage from verse 195 onwards

and now we have the response that Allah

gives. So those are the duas that the

believers make as they ponder and they reflect

duas to Allah subhanahu ta'ala and they turn

to Allah subhanahu ta'ala in supplication.

to them and he accepts those duas.

were killed. I will certainly admit them to

gardens graced with flowing streams as a reward

from Allah. The best reward is indeed with

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

So Allah is saying that he responded to

these duas. He accepted them, and he responded.

And what is the response of Allah

Anyone who does good deeds whilst having Iman,

those good deeds are never lost. If you

worship Allah with sincerity

and your actions are in accordance to the

sunnah of the Prophet those actions are recorded

and saved and preserved by Allah subhanahu wa

ta'ala.

Whoever performs those actions

whether male or female.

Allah says you are like one another in

this regard.

So we know in our religion and one

of the things that, you know, often people

make a big deal of when it comes

to Islamic law is that men have greater

rights over women.

in certain positions Allah has given to men

a greater responsibility

than he has to women. And in certain

issues

maybe men can get something more than women

in certain types of shares and rewards and

so on.

However, when it comes to the major issue,

which is the issue of reward of akhira,

when it comes to the issue of reward

of good deeds, when it comes to the

major crux of iman and belief and good

actions,

00:05:37--> 00:05:39

then men and women are equal and that

is why Allah says elsewhere in the Quran.

Whosoever does good deeds whether male or female

and they are believers,

then we will give to them in goodly

life. So when it comes to your standing

before Allah

your actions of good deeds, men and women

are equal in the ability to perform them

and in the reward that they receive. Men

don't get more reward in their deeds simply

and by virtue of just simply being men.

And women don't get less by virtue of

just simply being women. But Allah, subhanahu wa

ta'ala, has given to them equality or parity

when it comes to this particular aspect, and

that is the most important aspect. The other

issues are to do with the dunya in

00:06:22--> 00:06:24

terms of the laws that we have, in

00:06:24--> 00:06:26

terms of the way that society should work

00:06:26--> 00:06:29

or the family structure should work. Allah has

00:06:29--> 00:06:29

ordained

00:06:30--> 00:06:32

this from his wisdom and his knowledge, subhanahu

00:06:32--> 00:06:34

wa ta'ala. But when it comes to the

00:06:34--> 00:06:36

crux of the issue, the most important aspect,

00:06:37--> 00:06:39

then men and women are equal in their

00:06:39--> 00:06:42

regard. Allah says so therefore those actions will

00:06:42--> 00:06:43

never be

00:06:43--> 00:06:44

will never be wasted.

00:06:45--> 00:06:48

So those who migrate for the sake of

00:06:48--> 00:06:48

Allah

00:06:50--> 00:06:52

Those who were exiled from their homes for

00:06:52--> 00:06:53

the sake of Allah 'azawajal.

00:06:54--> 00:06:56

Those who were harmed for the sake of

00:06:56--> 00:06:58

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Those who were fought

00:06:58--> 00:07:00

or were killed for the sake of Allah

00:07:00--> 00:07:02

Azza wa Jal Allah says that he will

00:07:02--> 00:07:05

wipe away all of their evil deeds and

00:07:05--> 00:07:08

that he won't admit them into gardens under

00:07:08--> 00:07:10

which rivers flow. This is a

00:07:11--> 00:07:14

a reward from Allah and with Allah is

00:07:14--> 00:07:16

the best of rewards. So Allah

00:07:16--> 00:07:18

answers those duas, answers the duas of those

00:07:18--> 00:07:20

people who turn to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

So to contemplate over Allah's creation, to turn

00:07:23--> 00:07:25

to Allah in terms of Ibadah, to ask

00:07:25--> 00:07:28

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala from his favor and

00:07:28--> 00:07:30

from his grace and from his bounty, to

00:07:30--> 00:07:32

ask Allah aza a wajal for more and

00:07:32--> 00:07:34

to make dua for that is something which

00:07:34--> 00:07:36

is pleasing and beloved to Allah subhanahu wa

00:07:36--> 00:07:37

ta'ala.

00:07:37--> 00:07:39

And so as we mentioned in the last

00:07:39--> 00:07:42

episode, the believers are those people who when

00:07:42--> 00:07:44

they see these signs, they turn to Allah

00:07:45--> 00:07:47

So as you're reflecting upon the heavens and

00:07:47--> 00:07:49

the earth, it leads you to worship and

00:07:49--> 00:07:51

to make dua. For example, you heard about

00:07:51--> 00:07:54

a major disaster, natural disaster that took place.

00:07:55--> 00:07:56

There's a major earthquake,

00:07:56--> 00:07:59

a hurricane, something happens, a major loss of

00:07:59--> 00:08:00

life and devastation,

00:08:00--> 00:08:02

that should make you turn to Allah Subhanahu

00:08:02--> 00:08:04

Wa Ta'ala. Make tawba to Allah azza wa

00:08:04--> 00:08:06

ji. See forgiveness from Allah

00:08:06--> 00:08:08

This is the way that the believers should

00:08:08--> 00:08:11

be. That when it comes to their life,

00:08:11--> 00:08:13

they're constantly trying to connect it back to

00:08:13--> 00:08:15

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And that is the

00:08:15--> 00:08:17

difference between the believer

00:08:17--> 00:08:20

who is constantly in the mode as Allah

00:08:20--> 00:08:23

says of making zikr of Allah, remembering Allah

00:08:23--> 00:08:24

being conscious of Allah

00:08:25--> 00:08:27

as they are standing and as they are

00:08:27--> 00:08:29

sitting and as they are lying on their

00:08:29--> 00:08:31

sides. That is the difference between that type

00:08:31--> 00:08:33

of believer and those people who are not

00:08:33--> 00:08:36

mindful of Allah, who are heedless and neglectful

00:08:36--> 00:08:38

of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and his rights.

00:08:38--> 00:08:40

And so the believer is the one who's

00:08:40--> 00:08:42

constantly engaged in making the Quran of Allah

00:08:43--> 00:08:45

constantly engaged in seeking knowledge and learning about

00:08:45--> 00:08:47

their religion, constantly engaged in different acts of

00:08:47--> 00:08:48

Ibadah

00:08:48--> 00:08:50

that they can make whether it's charity or

00:08:50--> 00:08:52

making dhikr of Allah or saying something which

00:08:52--> 00:08:54

is good or helping people and others. All

00:08:54--> 00:08:57

of these actions are something all of these

00:08:57--> 00:08:59

things are something which the believer does because

00:08:59--> 00:09:02

he makes us from amongst those people who

00:09:02--> 00:09:05

are people of understanding, people of reflection and

00:09:05--> 00:09:06

contemplation.

00:09:07--> 00:09:10

In verse 196, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala then

00:09:10--> 00:09:11

continues and he says,

00:09:17--> 00:09:19

But do not be deceived by the disbelievers

00:09:19--> 00:09:21

trading to and fro in the land.

00:09:22--> 00:09:24

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says don't be deceived

00:09:24--> 00:09:26

by what Allah may have given to others

00:09:26--> 00:09:28

in terms of the dunya.

Because sometimes what we do as Muslims is

we think that if Allah loved us or

we are the ones that Allah has favored

with Islam then how come I am poor?

How come I am suffering? How come those

people who don't worship Allah, they don't love

00:09:41--> 00:09:43

Allah, they don't believe in Allah, they have

00:09:43--> 00:09:45

the trappings of the dunya, the luxuries of

00:09:45--> 00:09:47

the dunya and the comforts of the dunya

00:09:48--> 00:09:50

and I'm here with my tawhid and my

00:09:50--> 00:09:52

iman and I have very little comparatively.

00:09:53--> 00:09:54

But it's not the case. It's not so

00:09:54--> 00:09:56

simple because amongst the non muslims and the

00:09:56--> 00:09:59

disbelievers are many who are also poor and

00:09:59--> 00:10:01

many who are also in in financial difficulty

00:10:01--> 00:10:02

and distress.

00:10:02--> 00:10:04

And amongst the Muslims there are many who

00:10:04--> 00:10:07

are wealthy that Allah has favored and given

00:10:07--> 00:10:08

to them that type of wealth and blessing.

00:10:08--> 00:10:10

So there are equal amounts or there are

00:10:10--> 00:10:13

both categories of people in Muslims and in

00:10:13--> 00:10:16

non Muslims as well. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:10:16--> 00:10:18

is saying but the believer knows that Allah

00:10:19--> 00:10:20

doesn't value these issues in terms of the

00:10:20--> 00:10:21

dunya.

00:10:21--> 00:10:23

So when he gives them to this person

00:10:23--> 00:10:24

or to that person it's because they are

00:10:24--> 00:10:27

worthless to Allah. But what Allah gave to

00:10:27--> 00:10:29

you in terms of your iman, in terms

00:10:29--> 00:10:31

of your belief, in terms of your tawheed

00:10:31--> 00:10:34

that is something that Allah values and holds

00:10:34--> 00:10:36

extremely precious. And therefore, it is only given

00:10:36--> 00:10:38

to those to whom Allah favors

00:10:39--> 00:10:40

and to whom Allah chooses.

00:10:41--> 00:10:42

And so Allah

00:10:42--> 00:10:44

has bestowed you with the greatest of His

00:10:44--> 00:10:47

blessings and favors, far greater than those other

00:10:47--> 00:10:49

blessings of the dunya and its trappings and

00:10:49--> 00:10:51

its worldly comforts and luxuries.

00:10:52--> 00:10:54

And so therefore, when you have that correct

00:10:54--> 00:10:55

mindset,

00:10:55--> 00:10:57

then that issue isn't something which is going

00:10:57--> 00:10:59

to cause you problems. So the believer is

00:10:59--> 00:11:01

the one who isn't deceived,

00:11:01--> 00:11:04

who isn't despondent because he sees others

00:11:05--> 00:11:05

enjoying

00:11:06--> 00:11:07

the

00:11:08--> 00:11:08

dunya.

00:11:09--> 00:11:12

Do not be deceived by the disbelievers trading

00:11:12--> 00:11:14

to and from in the land. They may

00:11:14--> 00:11:15

have that wealth, they may have that trading,

00:11:15--> 00:11:17

they may have but don't be deceived by

00:11:17--> 00:11:19

it. Why? Because Allah

00:11:19--> 00:11:20

says in verse 197

00:11:29--> 00:11:31

this is only a brief enjoyment

00:11:31--> 00:11:34

after which how far will be their home

00:11:34--> 00:11:36

and there is a miserable resting place. So,

00:11:36--> 00:11:38

yes, they may have it here in this

00:11:38--> 00:11:38

world

00:11:39--> 00:11:41

but on yawmul qiyama they will not have

00:11:41--> 00:11:43

any portion of Allah's reward or any portion

of Allah's blessings. So what they have even

if they have it here, it is for

00:11:47--> 00:11:50

a relatively short period of time and if

00:11:50--> 00:11:52

you have lost it here you don't have

00:11:52--> 00:11:54

it here then Allah has promised it to

00:11:54--> 00:11:56

you with your iman and your righteous deeds

00:11:57--> 00:11:59

Allah has promised it to you for eternity

00:11:59--> 00:12:01

in the next life. And that is why

00:12:01--> 00:12:03

it is said that a man once came,

00:12:03--> 00:12:05

a poor disbelieving man once came to the

00:12:05--> 00:12:09

famous scholar of Islam, Abdullah ibn Mubarak, Rahimahullah

00:12:09--> 00:12:11

Ta'ala, the famous imam of hadith and fiqh

00:12:11--> 00:12:12

and scholar of Islam.

00:12:13--> 00:12:15

And he said to him because Abdullah ibn

00:12:15--> 00:12:17

Mubarak, Rahimahullah was also someone who was extremely

00:12:17--> 00:12:19

wealthy. Allah blessed him with a great deal

00:12:19--> 00:12:21

of wealth. And so he came to him

00:12:21--> 00:12:23

and he said how can you say that

this life is the prisoner of the believer

and the paradise of the disbeliever when you

oh Abdullah

are enjoying all of your wealth and stuff

and I'm a poor man don't have anything

00:12:34--> 00:12:37

to my name. So even Mubarak, oh heyamullah

00:12:37--> 00:12:39

replied and he said it is a prison

00:12:39--> 00:12:40

for me

00:12:41--> 00:12:43

with regards to what Allah has prepared for

00:12:43--> 00:12:44

me in the next life. Compared to what

00:12:44--> 00:12:47

Allah has for the believers, this dunya even

00:12:47--> 00:12:49

with all of its trappings and luxuries is

00:12:49--> 00:12:50

still like a prison. And it is a

00:12:50--> 00:12:53

Jannah, a paradise for you compared with that

00:12:53--> 00:12:55

which Allah has saved for you in the

00:12:55--> 00:12:57

how fire in terms of punishment.

00:12:57--> 00:12:59

And so the perspective is something which is

00:12:59--> 00:13:01

extremely important. And so Allah azza wa Jal

00:13:01--> 00:13:02

offering in the Quran you will see and

00:13:02--> 00:13:05

likewise the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam in his

00:13:05--> 00:13:06

sunnah they give us perspective.

00:13:07--> 00:13:09

They tell us how to focus and how

00:13:09--> 00:13:10

to think. They tell us what it is

00:13:10--> 00:13:12

that we should focus on and what it

00:13:12--> 00:13:14

is that we shouldn't focus on. Because often

00:13:14--> 00:13:15

as Muslims,

00:13:15--> 00:13:17

sometimes because of the way that the dunya

00:13:17--> 00:13:19

is and because of the trappings of Shaytan

00:13:19--> 00:13:22

and the traps and whisperings of Shaytan, we

00:13:22--> 00:13:24

also become or we lose our way and

00:13:24--> 00:13:26

we lose our focus and so Allah as

00:13:26--> 00:13:28

we mentioned in the in the episode that

00:13:28--> 00:13:30

we did a couple of couple of episodes

00:13:30--> 00:13:32

back when Allah speaks about the reality

00:13:32--> 00:13:35

of the dunya and the reality of death.

00:13:35--> 00:13:36

Those types of verses are there to give

00:13:36--> 00:13:38

us a clear understanding

00:13:38--> 00:13:40

of what is our reality and what it

00:13:40--> 00:13:42

is that we should be focusing on. If

00:13:42--> 00:13:43

someone was to come to one of us

00:13:43--> 00:13:46

today and say, today is your last day

00:13:46--> 00:13:48

upon this earth. It's your last day in

00:13:48--> 00:13:49

the duniya.

00:13:49--> 00:13:52

Today, you will die. So these last 12

00:13:52--> 00:13:55

hours or these 24 hours that you have,

00:13:55--> 00:13:56

that's all that you have left and then

00:13:56--> 00:13:57

you will die.

00:13:57--> 00:13:59

What would you do? And what would I

00:13:59--> 00:14:01

do? How would we use that last day?

00:14:02--> 00:14:03

How much would we do in terms of

00:14:03--> 00:14:05

worship, in terms of dua, in terms of

00:14:05--> 00:14:07

seeking forgiveness, in terms of trying to right

00:14:07--> 00:14:09

the wrongs that we've done? All of that

00:14:09--> 00:14:10

because we know for surety

00:14:11--> 00:14:12

that we have a very limited amount of

00:14:12--> 00:14:13

time.

00:14:14--> 00:14:15

It helps you to reprioritize,

00:14:16--> 00:14:16

refocus.

00:14:17--> 00:14:19

But the believer should always be someone who

00:14:19--> 00:14:20

is prioritizing and refocusing

00:14:21--> 00:14:23

because they know that the reality may come

00:14:23--> 00:14:24

at any moment. As Allah says in the

00:14:24--> 00:14:25

Quran,

00:14:27--> 00:14:29

when their appointed time comes.

It will not be brought forth

00:14:34--> 00:14:36

by a single moment nor will it be

00:14:36--> 00:14:37

delayed

00:14:37--> 00:14:39

by a moment. And so Allah

is telling us that yes, you may see

others enjoying the dunya,

enjoying its trappings, luxuries, benefits, and so on,

but remember that it is.

It is a brief enjoyment.

It is something which Allah has given to

them in this life as a test and

Because that is where they will go if

they don't believe in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Whereas the the believer, the Mu'min,

00:15:19--> 00:15:21

if in this life they have very little,

00:15:21--> 00:15:22

if in this life it is a life

00:15:22--> 00:15:24

of hardship and difficulty, if in this life

00:15:24--> 00:15:26

they don't have a great deal of the

00:15:26--> 00:15:26

dunya,

00:15:27--> 00:15:29

then they have something far more precious and

00:15:29--> 00:15:31

that is their iman. And if they have

00:15:31--> 00:15:33

alongside that iman, rebada

00:15:34--> 00:15:36

and good deeds and good conduct and good

00:15:36--> 00:15:36

character

00:15:37--> 00:15:38

then by Allah's mercy and by his by

00:15:38--> 00:15:41

his by his gentleness and his kindness Allah

00:15:41--> 00:15:43

will forgive them for the sins that they

00:15:43--> 00:15:45

have performed and Allah Azza wa Jal will

00:15:45--> 00:15:47

increase them and enter them into Jannah. And

00:15:47--> 00:15:49

that is why Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala then

00:15:49--> 00:15:51

says in the following verse 198

00:16:09--> 00:16:11

But those who are mindful of their Lord

00:16:11--> 00:16:14

will have gardens graced with flowing streams where

00:16:14--> 00:16:16

they will stay as a reward from Allah

00:16:17--> 00:16:19

and what Allah has is best for those

00:16:19--> 00:16:22

who are truly good. So Allah is saying

00:16:22--> 00:16:24

that for the disbelievers don't be deceived,

00:16:24--> 00:16:26

Their enjoyment is brief, then they will go

00:16:26--> 00:16:28

to the fire. But as for those who

00:16:28--> 00:16:30

are mindful of their Lord, they have fear

00:16:30--> 00:16:31

of Allah

00:16:31--> 00:16:34

They're conscious of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. They're

00:16:34--> 00:16:36

engaged in the ibad of Allah and the

00:16:36--> 00:16:38

remembrance of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:16:39--> 00:16:40

For them is jannat,

00:16:41--> 00:16:44

gardens. Not just 1, multiple gardens with all

00:16:44--> 00:16:46

that they contain of all of the blessings

00:16:46--> 00:16:47

that we know that they have that are

00:16:47--> 00:16:49

mentioned in the Quran and the sunnah of

00:16:49--> 00:16:51

the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. And it

00:16:51--> 00:16:53

is sufficient as a description of what the

00:16:53--> 00:16:55

Prophet told us sallallahu alaihi wa sallam over

00:16:55--> 00:16:57

Allah Azzawajal first mentions in the Quran.

00:17:01--> 00:17:03

Quran. No soul knows what Allah has contained

00:17:03--> 00:17:05

therein of pleasures.

00:17:07--> 00:17:09

As a reward for that which they used

00:17:09--> 00:17:11

to do. And as the Prophet told us,

00:17:11--> 00:17:13

salallahu alaihi wa sallam, concerning Jannah and its

00:17:13--> 00:17:13

reward,

00:17:14--> 00:17:14

that in it

00:17:18--> 00:17:18

is

00:17:19--> 00:17:19

in

00:17:20--> 00:17:22

it is that which no eye has seen,

00:17:22--> 00:17:24

no ear has ever heard and no mind

00:17:24--> 00:17:25

has ever imagined.

00:17:26--> 00:17:29

It's something which you cannot explicit or you

00:17:29--> 00:17:32

cannot imagine possibly what Allah has prepared therein.

00:17:32--> 00:17:34

It is like nothing that you have seen

00:17:34--> 00:17:35

in the dunya,

00:17:35--> 00:17:37

nothing that you have heard about in the

00:17:37--> 00:17:39

dunya, nothing that your mind and heart of

00:17:39--> 00:17:42

the dunya can possibly contemplate or imagine. That

00:17:42--> 00:17:45

is what Allah has promised you in Jannah.

00:17:49--> 00:17:52

There will be flowing streams grace therein

00:17:53--> 00:17:55

and you will stay therein forever.

00:17:57--> 00:17:59

As a reward and as an abode from

00:17:59--> 00:18:00

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:18:02--> 00:18:03

That is a beautiful

00:18:04--> 00:18:07

conclusion to this verse and that is what

00:18:07--> 00:18:10

Allah has is always best for those who

00:18:10--> 00:18:12

are good. For the people of goodness and

00:18:12--> 00:18:14

piety, what Allah has for you is always

00:18:14--> 00:18:16

good. You may think that it's good for

00:18:16--> 00:18:18

you to have dunya

00:18:18--> 00:18:21

and wealth and property and land and cars

00:18:21--> 00:18:22

and so on but Allah

00:18:22--> 00:18:24

knows that for you it's not good. For

00:18:24--> 00:18:26

you it will be a problem and a

00:18:26--> 00:18:27

trial and a fit that it will lead

00:18:27--> 00:18:29

you to arrogance and pride and other issues

00:18:29--> 00:18:32

and oppression and so on. So Allah withholds

00:18:32--> 00:18:35

it for you, from you. And instead he

00:18:35--> 00:18:37

will give to you what you need and

00:18:37--> 00:18:39

suffice you with it. And Allah, Azza wa

00:18:39--> 00:18:41

Jal, prepares for you a greater reward.

00:18:42--> 00:18:44

For that which is with Allah.

00:18:44--> 00:18:47

Allah. It is always better for those people

00:18:47--> 00:18:47

of righteousness

00:18:48--> 00:18:49

and those people of goodness.

00:18:51--> 00:18:54

In verse 199, which is the penultimate verse

00:18:54--> 00:18:56

of Surah Al Imran, Allah then says,

00:19:21--> 00:19:22

Some of the people of the book believe

00:19:22--> 00:19:23

in Allah

00:19:23--> 00:19:25

and what has been sent down to you

00:19:25--> 00:19:27

and what has been sent down to them,

00:19:27--> 00:19:30

humbling themselves before Allah azza wa Jal they

00:19:30--> 00:19:32

will never sell Allah's revelation for a small

00:19:32--> 00:19:34

price these people will have the reward with

00:19:34--> 00:19:37

their Lord Indeed, Allah is swift in his

00:19:37--> 00:19:38

reckoning. Allah

00:19:39--> 00:19:40

subhanahu wa ta'ala from his

00:19:41--> 00:19:43

justice as we've said before from his knowledge

00:19:43--> 00:19:46

and wisdom, his justice and fairness, Subhanahu Wa

00:19:46--> 00:19:48

Ta'ala is that Allah does not oppress anyone.

00:19:49--> 00:19:51

And so Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala often tells

00:19:51--> 00:19:52

us that from the people of the scriptures

00:19:52--> 00:19:55

are those who have sold their shameful disbelief,

00:19:55--> 00:19:57

who have done evil, who have concealed what

00:19:57--> 00:20:00

Allah has revealed and diverted people away from

00:20:00--> 00:20:02

the path of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Put

00:20:02--> 00:20:04

in this verse Allah Azzawajal says that from

00:20:04--> 00:20:06

amongst them also are a group that have

00:20:06--> 00:20:09

held firm upon onto the iman of Allah

00:20:09--> 00:20:11

Azza wa Jal and this is in particular

00:20:11--> 00:20:14

in the times of the prophets of Allah

00:20:14--> 00:20:15

ahi Musa Alaihi Wasallam and those people who

00:20:15--> 00:20:16

follow them in the way that they were

00:20:16--> 00:20:19

meant to with tawheed and believing in their

00:20:19--> 00:20:22

various prophets and upholding their laws and shari'as

00:20:22--> 00:20:24

that Allah revealed to them. They believe in

00:20:24--> 00:20:27

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in that which was

00:20:27--> 00:20:28

revealed to you and in that which was

00:20:28--> 00:20:29

revealed to them.

00:20:31--> 00:20:33

And they humble themselves before Allah

00:20:37--> 00:20:38

They did not purchase

00:20:39--> 00:20:41

the signs of Allah for a small price.

00:20:42--> 00:20:43

And this is something which you will find.

00:20:43--> 00:20:45

So from amongst the people of the scriptures,

00:20:45--> 00:20:46

when those who for example in the time

00:20:46--> 00:20:48

of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam accepted

00:20:48--> 00:20:51

Islam and even before the prophet salallahu alaihi

00:20:51--> 00:20:53

wa sallam came, we know that we had

00:20:53--> 00:20:55

the likes of Amor ibn Nufail and Waraka

00:20:55--> 00:20:57

ibn Nofal and others from amongst the Quraysh

00:20:58--> 00:21:00

who were people that were trying to uphold

00:21:00--> 00:21:02

the religion of Ibrahim alaihi salatu was salam.

00:21:02--> 00:21:05

They didn't want anything except that which Allah

00:21:05--> 00:21:08

had given to them of the pristine religion.

00:21:09--> 00:21:10

And likewise from the people of the book,

00:21:10--> 00:21:12

those people were also upon that as well

00:21:12--> 00:21:13

before the coming of the

00:21:14--> 00:21:17

Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Allah says concerning them

00:21:20--> 00:21:22

Those people they will have their reward

00:21:22--> 00:21:23

with

00:21:23--> 00:21:24

their

00:21:24--> 00:21:25

Lord.

00:21:25--> 00:21:26

And indeed Allah

00:21:27--> 00:21:28

is swift in his reckoning.

00:21:29--> 00:21:29

Allah

00:21:31--> 00:21:33

then in the final verse, verse 200,

00:21:34--> 00:21:36

he then specifies the believers and gives them

00:21:36--> 00:21:39

the guidance or give gives them the commands

00:21:39--> 00:21:41

that will lead them to success.

00:21:41--> 00:21:43

If they uphold these things and abide by

00:21:43--> 00:21:47

them, they will have ultimate success. Allah subhanahu

00:21:47--> 00:21:47

wa ta'ala says,

00:21:56--> 00:21:57

O you who believe,

00:21:58--> 00:21:58

be steadfast,

00:21:59--> 00:22:01

more steadfast than others

00:22:01--> 00:22:02

and be ready

00:22:03--> 00:22:05

always mindful of Allah so that you may

00:22:05--> 00:22:06

be successful.

00:22:07--> 00:22:08

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:22:09--> 00:22:11

commands the believers with 4 things.

00:22:12--> 00:22:14

Number 1 is patience and this is something

00:22:14--> 00:22:16

which we mentioned before when Allah was

00:22:17--> 00:22:18

speaking about the

00:22:21--> 00:22:21

importance

00:22:22--> 00:22:24

of having sabr and taqwa together and that

00:22:24--> 00:22:26

is from the issues of high determination.

00:22:27--> 00:22:30

Sabr patience upon the decree of Allah upon

00:22:30--> 00:22:33

all harm and upon all evil in the

00:22:33--> 00:22:34

path to Allah the

00:22:35--> 00:22:38

believer is faced with many challenges and many

00:22:38--> 00:22:40

many obstacles and one of the greatest ways

00:22:40--> 00:22:42

to overcome them is to remain

00:22:43--> 00:22:45

firm, to remain patient with that which Allah

00:22:45--> 00:22:47

has decreed. And part of that patience is

00:22:48--> 00:22:50

to remain patient upon your continuous worship of

00:22:50--> 00:22:53

Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Patient upon your iman,

00:22:53--> 00:22:56

patient upon your trust in Allah, patient upon

00:22:56--> 00:22:59

continuously making dua, patience upon fulfilling your obligations

00:22:59--> 00:23:02

and your Ibadat. To Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:23:02--> 00:23:03

your acts of worship patience,

00:23:05--> 00:23:06

and be more steadfast

00:23:07--> 00:23:07

than others.

00:23:08--> 00:23:09

Al Musaba

00:23:09--> 00:23:10

is to continuously

00:23:11--> 00:23:12

be in a state

00:23:12--> 00:23:13

of

00:23:14--> 00:23:15

patience and steadfastness,

00:23:15--> 00:23:18

and it is also something which requires

00:23:18--> 00:23:20

the help of others at times as well.

00:23:20--> 00:23:22

So being patient

00:23:22--> 00:23:24

and then being more steadfast than others in

00:23:24--> 00:23:26

terms of patience. So you can maybe be

00:23:26--> 00:23:29

patient on one occasion or two occasions, but

00:23:29--> 00:23:30

then after a while you may lose that

00:23:30--> 00:23:31

patience. Musabara

00:23:32--> 00:23:34

is to continuously be patient, to be mindful

00:23:35--> 00:23:36

of being patient,

00:23:36--> 00:23:38

and to also ask for help when you

00:23:38--> 00:23:40

need help, so to surround yourself with good

00:23:40--> 00:23:42

people, to those people who will be with

00:23:42--> 00:23:44

you, and they will help you remain patient

00:23:44--> 00:23:47

and steadfast on the path to Allah Subhanahu

00:23:47--> 00:23:48

Wa Ta'ala. Number 3,

00:23:49--> 00:23:50

and be prepared.

00:23:50--> 00:23:52

And that is that you are prepared

00:23:52--> 00:23:55

to overcome the challenges that you face, to

00:23:55--> 00:23:57

overcome the enemies that may come in your

00:23:57--> 00:23:59

path of shaitan and his armies and devils

00:23:59--> 00:24:01

and so on, whether from the humans or

00:24:01--> 00:24:03

the jinn those enemies that come into your

00:24:03--> 00:24:04

path that try to divert you away from

00:24:04--> 00:24:06

Allah azza wa jal lead you away from

00:24:06--> 00:24:08

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala be prepared to face

00:24:08--> 00:24:10

them Be prepared to be patient

00:24:11--> 00:24:13

patient in facing them and dealing with them.

00:24:13--> 00:24:15

And number 4, what taqullah

00:24:16--> 00:24:16

fear Allah

00:24:17--> 00:24:20

Be mindful of Allah be conscious of Allah

00:24:20--> 00:24:22

If you have these 4 things,

00:24:24--> 00:24:24

patience,

00:24:26--> 00:24:27

continuing to be steadfast,

00:24:28--> 00:24:28

rebat

00:24:29--> 00:24:30

which is to

00:24:31--> 00:24:33

always be prepared and the taqwa of Allah

00:24:33--> 00:24:36

Azzawajal being mindful of Allah Azzawajal and fear

00:24:36--> 00:24:36

of Allah

00:24:38--> 00:24:40

then you will have prospered.

00:24:40--> 00:24:42

Allah says do these four things that you

00:24:42--> 00:24:45

may prosper, that you may achieve success in

00:24:45--> 00:24:47

this life and in the next. And that

00:24:47--> 00:24:49

is the end of this passage, the final

00:24:49--> 00:24:51
