If you do that, then there's something missing in your sincerity. Your intention was not genuine or sincere about it, you're only doing it because you know you had promised yourself that somehow you're going to be giving it by giving it back later on. Know when you give up something for the sake of Allah, I think she'll be okay with giving it up. And you shouldn't be ready to live your life without it. And that should be okay with you. Whether he

still gives you something back in return or gives you back the same thing or more shouldn't be something that you're waiting for.
