I have found that in all of the communities that the young people are being confused with drugs, it is pouring into our countries. We're supposed to be rising in technology, our life is supposed to be getting better. You think you're going to paradise, you think you're enjoying yourself, but the alcohol and intoxicants is killing your body. lethal social diseases is cutting down your population. Gambling is ruining the family, ruining communities.
But it's done in the name of progress and democracy and the 21st century. And the Koran also tells us
The shaytaan will say when the matter is decided. And this is a picture in Gehenna in hell, when the people are down burning in hell, and they see the shaytaan burning in hell, and they say, But you promised us, you promised us the promise of truth. And he said, I had no authority over you. But I called you and you came.

Some people pay the bond for 20 years, hard labor, and then when they can't pay, the house is taken away from them. Some of them never lived to see the fruits of their labor. It is burnt up in papers. And so an interest free cooperative society. And if our chef dums if our rich leaders would take their money out of these interest banks, and put it into an Islamic economy, we would change the face of disperse that for many people, is the bottom line. But don't forget also, that within our understanding, is the true belief in one God, the truth Oh heat, with no confusion, no human

chasing something which will rise and fall in the twinkling of an eye. But we encourage the strong institution of the family.
We also have a clear identity for male and female. And if we are practicing Islam, we should not be confused. If we're a man or a woman
who shouldn't be confused.
We also have a cure for racism,
that you don't look at the color of a person's skin, you don't base that that the judgment of that person, not on their color, not on their language, not on the texture of their hair. But it is taqwa it is the piety. It is the God consciousness. That is how you should judge an individual. We also have a holistic science that would take us into an era of science, whereby the scientist would think of the Creator, that in using technology, we would not be destroying life, but enhancing life, developing the earth, and not just developing plastics, and trying to make more money with our science and technology. And we also have a philosophy
that we want to be ruled by the laws of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that the leader would be the one who would Institute these laws, not from any special family, but the one who deserves to be the ruler of the people. And so, with a system that is so clear, and honest and straightforward, why are we under attack, that is the job of deception.
And the deception has come in this new globalization form, this, this now this this spread of technology, it is now shifted to us trying to make us into an evil force. But never forget that the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him. He was called Majnoon crazy. He was called sa here's a magician. He was called a cat in a wizard. He was called Shah is a poet. They use many names for him, they persecuted him. They tried to destroy his family. They tried to destroy his society. Allah, with their mouths with the information. But Allah will complete his light, even though the disbelief is despised. May Allah protect the women in the children, the Omar Mohammed Salah salam, May Allah give strength and protect the men of the oma Mohamed Salah salam, May Allah give the True Vision of Islam to those who are not Muslim. May Allah take away the veils from their eyes and see that Islam is the real solution to the problems of this world. May Allah complete his light and we pray if possible,
may Allah let us see a little bit of this light in our life in our lifetimes. If we cannot, then we ask you a lot to let our children see it and let the Muslim see victory and begin to see the light. Alhamdulillah. It is a great honor for me again to be with you. And I wanted to say at the outset, that I do not consider myself to be a great Mufti or a great leader in Islam don't get confused.
But I am a brother who's been in the fields and so trying to give off some of the you know, the experiences and the you know,
Did the small amount of knowledge to the laws blessed me with and whatever mistakes I make from myself? If you gain anything it is from Allah subhanaw taala it'll have to allow the questions, you have asked a very deep question. And I pray that Allah would raise up for this woman,
that type of leadership that can really get us out of the situation that we are in. Because this is one of the greatest crises that almost been in a long time. And, but I believe that, you know, with questions such as this, and with young brothers and sisters, such as yourselves,
striving for the deen, even so far away from the Muslim world, that there is great hope for the future. also part of the hope for the future, I want to share with you with a special event that will be happening at the end when I finish the questions, which I believe is part of the hope for the future of this movement.
Concerning the questions,
one says, How do you deal with the deception that women who cover won't be successful? Now, again, this materialistic secularism, or some people call secular humanism, which has swept the planet. And in Europe, when the Catholic Church became very oppressive, and stunted the growth of scientists and people who were studying the natural phenomenon, there was a reaction. And so you found that many of the educated people became atheists, or they were against the church because the church was in a very progressive, negative, repressive type of position. But this never happened in the world of Islam. And so I'm
although it happens in Europe, that thinking was was transported all over the planet.
And concerning the Muslim world, it is out of place, because of a person is more religious in Islam. The more knowledge they have is, the more balanced, they should actually become not extremist, they should become balanced. And the more they they should be capable of dealing with science, and dealing with math and learning alongside with their religious beliefs. So it is a different thing that happens in the Muslim world. Our problem was tyrannical rules, and greed,
tribalism, this did happen to us. But our way of life does support progress, it supports
a person working, it supports a healthy family. So when a sister is covering up, if a brother is growing his beard or making salaat,
this does not make the person you know, anti civilization. This does not necessarily mean the person is finished now, and he is a misfit, it actually shows that that person is now submitting to Allah subhanaw taala. And we believe that Allah would give success to that individual, and bless that individual, either in this life or the hereafter.
One sister is saying, What is your advice to me? Sometimes when I'm in a room of sisters, I feel that love is being that love shown is fake, that people are just saying things, you know, and they don't really mean it. And what can we do to really strengthen our house. It is important for our gatherings not only to be social gatherings, and especially for the sisters, but that the gathering should be gatherings of the remembrance of Allah, where we studied the book of Allah, we studied the son of the Prophet sallallahu sallam. And when we come together, this is where the angels, you know, surround us when we were in our gathering. So even though sisters are not male, it is not in Islam.
It's not Islamic to say that the men are the ones who study. The men's men are the ones who focus on religious things. And the women that the dunya This is a concept in some mistaken concept, that the men of the deen and the women of the dunya meaning the world, so they should be talking about how many bangles you have on how rich is your husband, how to cook this kind of food, no.
Sisters should also come together to remember a loss of parents Allah, right to recite his book
and to be involved in you know, Islamic practices, spiritual matters as well, and also to be involved in Islamic work. So when you're involved in this wholesome Islamic work, and the remembrance of Allah, then this can help for the sincerity of the house. In the same way it helps the brothers when they come together. It can also help the sisters.
Another question is it says a few influential influential Muslims say that the first bond or mortgage is allowed. And they have this in what some checks have said. They say that it is correct. I'm not a Mufti to be able to give you

you to your grave anyway. You can't take it there. And so whether we own things, or are we not a lot knows best, because nobody can take anything, you know, to the to the grave. And if we are taking sins with us, to the grave, we are better off to submit to Allah, then submit to the material world.
Next, it says What do you think? What do you what do you think a teenager should do in their lives in order to be a good Muslim and prevent themselves from falling into deception? Well, this this age of being a teenager,
which is supposed to be between childhood and adulthood, this really is a Western construct. We do not have this in Islam.
In some people say, well, they're a teenager, so they're confused and they don't know who they are. They don't know if they're an adult, they feel adult feelings, but there's still a child.
Yes, there is childhood and you are young. But we believe that once you become a color, that that once you reach puberty, that you should begin to take responsibility. You don't have to be 21 to take responsibility, who sama bin Zayed rather long and Houma was the general of an army. your husband bought a house on interest in La Jolla. And now you are all as a family obeying a law and repenting, should you sell the house? Well, you know, those things that you have done in the past? You know, if a president has done things in the past and comes into Islam, Allah forgives those sins, you know, that the person committed in the previous life in the time of God, and there may be varying opinions about this, it is better, you know, for a person to clear themselves totally as their Toba
Rundle modality, they give back to that they make compensation for all of the things so they would be better off to do that. But you're not
commanded to throw yourself into how much to throw yourself into a confusion into an economic confusion right away. When you accept Islam, you should try to gradually come out of this. And if you can gradually inshallah move to the point where you can sell the house or get rid of the house, then you actually would be better off in the future.
Another question says, a young East African brother was killed about two nights ago. And I would like to advise all of the young brothers to stop hanging on the streets. This is a very good advice from a system to the brothers. And if a brother is hanging on the streets, as they say, and you're standing up dddd the street corners there is hop, the street has its rights upon you. One is that if the Muslims are passing, you have to give some lamps to people. Okay, and there's a few of them. What I recall from them is that, you know, you're supposed to enjoy what is good and a little bit maruf we're not here. So if you're standing on the corner and you see evil, you're supposed to
change it.
Okay, you're not supposed to stand there. So if you see that you're in a corner and they're making deals and drugs and whatnot, you're supposed to move on here is supposed to change if you can't do it, don't hang around the corner. Because the corner has certain rights that are involved in the shaytaan in this modern continent.

This is where the real evil is coming about, on many of these street corners type of things, idle time, when people don't have anything to do, and there's so much that we have to learn, there's so much exploring, we have to do with this world that we don't have time to just to be sitting around, and to be wasting our time.

to allow their very small at this point, but your tibia, your Islamic education begins for the child, even when they're very young. So the child is watching. And then you answer, you say, you know, page 147. But if he says to you, where are you doing your homework?
That's another level. Now. You see, that's another level he's prying into your personal life. Okay, so if the person is prying into your personal life, whether you're male or female, that's when you stop. And you want to know the intentions of the person.
And you know, if the brother is serious, you the only way that we can judge people is by you know, their practices time for salaat. He establishes some out, he's serious about his fasting, he has the code of law in his lips, he's remembering a lot, you will hear it in his in his in his way. Okay. And also, one of the things that that has happened is that, you know, let your Wali talk to him, don't go off by yourself, the male and female should not be alone, because the third party is the shaytaan. Remember that the deception of the shaitaan that's one of the places if you go alone, shaytaan is the third party. Also if you do things too fast,
right, the promises of them said Allah Jalla min ash shaytaan. That going too fast comes from the devil.
And so what happens? The brother sees his sister, he said, sister, no, it's Sunday, we must get married. Wait, you know, now immediately, it's sooner.
So one sister came to me, so I want to marry the brother, he has a nice curl in his here and he can read the court and, and he said, it's so now I said, Okay, where does he come from?
Where does this family?
Where does he work? What is this past? You have to ask these questions, or your release should be involved. You don't make a decision by yourself. And just do everything real fast. No, take your time and go through the process of marriage. You know, we check the person out, you have a third party, check the person out. Right, the police should be involved. Right? Make your estacada properly, asking a lot to make the right choice. Right then make your decision. Don't do it quickly. Because this is really the deception of the shaytaan and don't be by yourself unless you are from the same family or Mahara.
Now, the question is that she's said I love a boy. But he's not from my clan.

Then I even began to know, now listen to this for our Somali brothers and sisters, and everybody else got to know this. I even assisted came to me and she said, a beautiful system. And she said, I wanted to get married, and the family refused me. And I said, Why? She said, We are the myth again.
Okay, and this is a tribe, right? or grouping of people who are probably the Swahili people along the coastline. They were silversmiths and merchants, right. And when the nomadic people came in, there was a struggle that went on and it turned into a myth or a superstition. You know, where I don't want to go into details, but it is hot and cold and how we met again, they were traveling along in the food round out, and it was only a dead ostrich. So the Miguel ate from that and they cursed him to the Day of Judgment. Okay, this is one of the stories concerning it. It's tribalism and its confusion, and has nothing to do with Islam.
And the Somali nation, which is one of our important nations, one of the first nations to come into Islam, we know from the hegira to Habesha, right, one of the important Nations has been struck with tribalism, to the point where it is causing confusion. And it is a disease and we have to struggle against, I know people have died. But we have to accept each other on taqwa that has to be the main thing, and not upon superstition, or tribalistic myths. And I say this with all respect, you know, to the clans and to the tribes, that you know, this is the true oma, when we break this down, because we need to even go from clan and try it, we can marry another race, another race of people.
That's what Islam is really about.
So all of us have to struggle with a type of tribalism, and nationalism, you know, in ourselves and our advices. Get one of the orlimar you know, maybe from the same clan, who has the knowledge of Islam and taqwa and let him talk to the families, that I'm talking to the mother and to the Father, and to reason with them, and to show them the Islamic position over the tribal position.
Okay, and encourage properly, don't run away, you run away with ultra wealthy and wealthy family, that's not the best way to solve this problem. But go to the mother to the Father, bring an album with you, you know, in a respected person, and let him reason with the family to the fear of Allah subhanaw taala. And we have seen this work in Toronto in our community, we have seen the clans marry each other, and come together on Islamic issues. And this is important for all of our people, no matter what tribal nation they belong to
another question, which is concerning the Somali community as well, but it also includes the Yemenis and other people. And it is talking about saying my people or my community are claiming that cops are jacked, or Mira, or whatever you want to call it, they say it is halau. Okay, and they say it's permissible. What can you tell us about this? We did a study about this for the brothers who don't know, and sisters who don't know, there is a plant that may have been originally from Ethiopia, cultured in Yemen, it grows in Kenya as well, there's the mirror version coming out of Kenya, and the plant is chewed. And then you drink liquids, and then you swallow the liquid. And it has an
effect upon your body. And it was studied by scientists, and it was shown that it is a drunk. And it is addictive. And it also has an effect upon the body. It ruins your teeth, your gums, it also ruins your digestive system. It also makes it the bones of your children become very weak.
The person who choose the clocks, he stays up for 35 hours.
And they're in the measureless and they're talking and then whatever. And sometimes from that they even smoke some marijuana or they do something else inside this. Okay. And it has had a destructive effect upon the Muslims to the point now in parts of Yemen, you know, after the whole, the whole society is to input. I mean, if somebody wanted to attack them, if they attacked after the whole, you know,
They probably say okay, take the country man. Let me choose

So this is a drunk man, it's a drunk. It is not the same as not as lethal as cocaine or heroin. But it's been proven to be an addictive drug. And it is a waste of money. Right? It is not helping us. Okay, then they came and the mothers came and they said

So we are only dependent upon Allah subhanho wa Taala we should not be dependent upon any of these chemicals or drugs, because it is a form of substance abuse. And there was a fatwa made by the other Muslim, by by the scholars of Medina, there was a conference held in Medina, where the scholars came together and they made a judgment on this, they studied it from a chemical point of view, a psychological, physical and they came to the conclusion that it is haram. That is, it is not permissible to be involved in that.
Okay, now coming to some of the other questions, it says, um,

What do you suggest us young Muslims? What knowledge is best for us to start with, to become knowledgeable of Islam? And what about Islam in South Africa, in terms of the knowledge, you should try to form, you know, follow a classical form of education, and you should try to learn the Arabic language, also from a young age to memorize the Book of Allah subhanaw taala. And then to begin to learn proper grammar, to speak Arabic in a proper way to be able to read the texts, and then to go to different texts if you cannot get to that, you know, along with our reading Tafseer and reading Hadith, we also recommend a certain level via that you read the life of the prophet SAW a solemn and
also you should have a proper understanding of Arpita or email, what is the proper principles of email? Right, and what is the true man of a believer, these are very crucial issues in these types, then you can go on to other types of history and other things, but you want a solid foundation in Quran and Sunnah and principles of Amen, and then also a co2 number, we're to give you more perspective,
in terms of the Dawa in South Africa, and Islam in South Africa Alhamdulillah, the Dow is going on very strong. And we are now penetrating some of the African townships. In the rural areas. Also the universities, the schools, there's a steady dollar program that is going on. But hamdulillah now, people of all colors are coming together, and breaking down racial barriers, it is starting to happen. And we pray that those in
authority, you know, can begin to share the wealth, right and open up the educational systems so that there would not be a violent, you know, overthrow in the country because it would be terrible bloodshed, and we do not want to have bloodshed and those things done by Nelson Mandela. And many of his people, you know, they made some very strong efforts. And we believe that Islam can provide many of the solutions that the society needs. But it's only for the Muslims now to be able to live Islam, and then take the message to those who have not heard it.
It says regarding the oma leader leadership.
What are the scholars doing in this format? Well, you know, we don't always get the news of all of the scholars. Unfortunately, we don't have access to information. And there are many scholars and hunters in many parts of the Muslim world who are taking strong stands for the deen. You're not going to hear a lot of this information unless you go to the areas unless you know the people but at hamdulillah there is still you know, strong Muslims and we believe as the province of Southern said that there is taught and Mansehra that there is a victorious party and they are standing in this has not been knocked down. There is still strong scholars and there are still people who are standing
and we believe it is only a matter of time.
And even though you see depressive things on the television, you know, in many cases, it's different on the ground. And there are more people now making salaat, coming back into the deen than we have known in the past 100 years or so, or even more. And Sharla. This is bushrod for us and the younger generation, and there are more people who are also coming into Islam than we've seen in a long time.
It says also, there are many good Muslims around the world. Why don't the Muslims establish one leader of halifa for the believers to fall in Islamic law? Okay, it is the hope. And it is the prayer that we move towards, you know, a central leader who would be the Khalifa, but this is a process, it's a process, you cannot take a person right now, out of the blue and say this is the leader of the whole Muslim world, it's not gonna work, because people are divided in, in tribal lines and even organizational lines. So it is a consciousness that we need to work on as an oma to to develop to come to the point where we can bring back that type of Central leadership that we had
in the past. And, and more and more people realize the importance of that leadership, which is not a secular leadership, but one that is working based upon the book of Allah and the Sunnah of the prophet SAW some,
you know that there is some questions, I mean, no doubt this questions concerning music. And this is a very controversial area. But what I would like to say is that, although music has been used as a negative thing,
in to control people's emotions, there is also forms of Nasheed, there are forms of Islamic chats, which if done properly, with the proper wording, and you know, whatnot, can actually make people feel good and boost them. And I've seen people who are involved in struggle in Palestine and other areas, and then they are singing, you know, these chats, and it really lifts you, you know, when you hear these chants, you know, being done. So, there's nothing wrong with that, you know, the people are saying autodelta, to Elena, for the province of Southern when he came to Medina, we have to be very cautious when we're dealing in this area, because shaytaan is so powerful in the music
industry. But the solution is not to say there is nothing, there's no form of music, which is permissible, there are forms that are permissible, and we need to try to struggle to find these forms for the use of Islam, you know, is one of the people who's trying to move in that area, and to get things that are acceptable in Sharia, you know, that can boost the feelings of the Muslims, and still keep them, you know, in the halaal, you know, type of realm. So if somebody comes to you claiming he is the mighty, or the mighty is around the corner, watch out.
Because that is part of the deception of the shape.
