person will have to make up for this fast after the month of Ramadan. However, it does not necessitate a kuthodaw a penalty, such as sexual intercourse invalidates the fast and also necessitates the kuthodaw the penalty, because the requirement or the obligation of the penalty, deca fata, upon a person is something that has to be explicitly stated through the sacred sources, and that is the case with sexual intercourse, but not with masturbation.
