In fact, there's a chapter of the Quran called Surah lukeman. And look, man had a son, and he was giving his son good advice. You know what he told him, my son, whatever you do, always worship Allah alone with no partners. And don't let anybody confuse you on this issue, Your Worship Allah, La Ilaha Illa law. Then he continued, he said, and you obey your parents in anything, obey your parents.
In less, they want you to do something like worship some gods that you have no knowledge of, don't worship these false gods. Other than that you obey your parents. And as your parents are taking care of you, they're showing you how to live. They're teaching you what to do, they show you how to talk, they show you how to walk, show you how to eat, they teach you everything. So you obey them. You follow that? until you find something they do that you know, is wrong, that you don't do. If your parents smoke cigarettes, is that right? No, it isn't. So should you smoke because they smoke? No, no, you shouldn't smoke. But you still have to honor them, don't you? You don't go up to them and insult them and say, Hey,
you don't smoke. Children don't talk to their parents. That way. It's wrong, isn't it? If the parents drink alcohol, this is very bad, isn't it?
And you shouldn't drink alcohol. But still, you have to take care of your parents.
Now, sometimes, even the parents are not Muslim. Sometimes one or both of the parents, maybe they don't believe in La la la la. What should you do? Should you just leave them okay? You don't believe? Go jump in the lake? No.
You have to take care of them. Be kind to them. You even have to give them presents and gifts. Did you know that and if they need anything, you have to take care of Why? Because you don't do it for the parents. You do it for a law.

And when girls make fun of other girls,
and beautiful and you're not
really bad, really, really bad. So we stay away from small things like we spoke about before, stay away from the bigger sense. And we certainly stay away from masya What is my secret? And again, this is like when you kill somebody, this is massive, big, massive, huge. Also, if a person kills themselves, if you kill yourself, if anybody kills themselves, I'll never forgive them for that, ever. You know why? Because it means you give up on a lot. You don't like what Allah has planned. So you do something on your own. And, of course, taking your life means you don't believe that Allah is the one who gives life and God. So Allah he's not gonna forget that.
The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him toward us. Whoever stabs himself to death Hmm. In this life, you will find him in the Hellfire and the next life doing what? stabbing himself over and over whatever he used to kill himself here, it will be using that in the hellfire. But remember to what Allah says in the Quran, whoever saves the life, whoever saves the life, it's like what? Like he saved all mankind. And you know, one of the best, best things you can do to help people to save them. Tell them about the lives of these prophets. Let them know the truth about the message that these prophets brought. Because when people understand how important it is to follow these steps,

When I first looked at Islam, I knew something about the profits from before. But after I learned about the prophets in Islam, I learned a lot more about this subject of halal and haram. I used to be confused, can I eat this food or not eat that food? Is this okay? Or is that okay? Can I drink this? Or this? How come this? How come that it seemed contradictory and confusing many times. When I came in Islam, I learned a good rule. This is a general rule that all the people can understand easy.
Anything you want to do in this world? You know, the life that we live in. And Arabic is called higher to junior life higher of the material world junior high.
And anything you want to do is okay, anything is okay. In less and less you see proof that you can't do it.
Let's understand that again. Does that mean I can lie? No. Because that's forbidden, isn't it? Does that mean I can cheat? Don't do anything there except what Allah order you to do. Even you can't kill ants there, you can't. You have to leave everything alone. Everything is around when you go to the
Haram in Mecca, except the right worship of Allah, to worship Him, to pray to Him, and to make your record or the bowing record, only for him only. It's all for lots of panels.

And they came with clear messages for their people. This continued over the centuries and centuries and centuries, until the last prophet, which is Muhammad Sallallahu, wasallam. And what he came with was very clear, it's called Sharia of Islam, or Islamic law. And that is the final and last and the complete, of all, what Allah
wants you to do for what he wants you not to do. But for you and I today, we want to keep it simple. We want to make it easy. When you leave, and you go home, you want to be able to think, what can I use from what I learned today, it's easy. If it's in the world, you can do it unless it's Haram. But if it's in the worship to a law, you cannot do it, unless it's halau. And the only way it's halau, is if you find proof from the Quran, or from the teachings of the prophets, that says you can do it. And of course, we find that in Iran, and the teaching of Mohammed, several lives.
And I'm reminded to when I think about this, that all prophets always said basically the same thing. The only difference was when there were differences for their communities or their nations at that time. But the last prophet came for all nations and even for the jinn. He came even for the jinn and for the human beings. So halau and haraam for us is very clear. Very clear. And if you're in doubt, now, let's look at this last thing before we end this program. What if I'm in doubt? I'm not sure? Should I do this? Or should I not do this? If I do this, this will happen.
If I don't do it, that will happen. Then what I will look at, I'm going to look over here and see the results. And if I think it's going to be bad, should I do it? No, no. But if I think it will be good, then I'll do that. But what if I'm just not sure at all? I just doubt. I don't know. It might be if I do it, it's a lie. Maybe if I do it, it's cheating. Maybe if I do it, some people will be hurt. I'm not sure Should I do it?
Well, why? Because there is a possibility for haraam.
But what if I want to do a good deed? But I'm not sure it's going to be a good deed. But it looks like it could be a good deed. It's possible it could be good. And I don't see anything really bad. Should I do it? Yeah. Because it looks good. But when you're really in doubt, and you have no answer, Prophet Mohammed, the last prophet peace be upon him told us when you're in doubt, leave it.
Don't do it. Whatever makes you doubt, leave it for what doesn't make you doubt. And in Plano, Texas English, I always say, when in doubt, chicken out. Don't do it. Some boys come to you. And they say do this and do some girls come to you? Oh, I can do but you don't feel good about it. doesn't feel right. Don't do it. Stay away from it. And Allah, he'll reward you. Sometimes we're not sure we try our best. And there's something really nice in Islam about that. The scholars have to make decisions all the time. And they work hard to give you the answer. If they're right, in their answer, they get a double reward from a law. And if they're wrong, they still get one full good reward with a law.
Why? Because if you're wrong, that you tried your best, Allah knows your intention. And I want to end by saying what the prophet Muhammad said. And it was almost ready Allahu anhu said this.
He said that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said that all of your actions are going to be rewarded according to the intention. Whatever you intended to do, Allah He will give you the reward for it if you mean to do good, that's what you'll have the reward, but if you meant to do bad, then that's what you had a punishment for. And he said in a mala, Mia, in her malo in Nia, everything is according to the need or the intention. So Let's all make a good intention that we're gonna do a lot he will like it. Good idea. And

We've been talking about the profits up until now
in a general term, and talking about the effects of following what they brought,
and what happens when people don't follow it. And now what I like to do is to tell you a little bit of background of some of these profits so you can get a better understanding of how things came about. So you know, the stories, we talked about Adam, and we talked about his wife, how they were created. We also talked about their children and what happened to them. Then after that, we mentioned another child that came called sheet, or Seth is they call him an English, he was instructed by Adam, as a prophet himself, to know certain things like the alternation of day and night and the effects and the meaning of it. He also understood some of the prophecies of things to
come. Even he knew about the great flood that would come one day, when you're looking after Seth. He had a son.
And his name was anoosh. Can you say that?
Yeah. And then keen on non

Who cares how you said their names, right? And then he had yard? That's a strange name, isn't it? Yeah. And then
I don't know what's a cleaner look. But we call him Enoch. And his name is also Idris. Now with Idris came the first time people really start to learn how to read or write and use letters and the basic language, like we sort of understand today. And Allah inspired him so much. In fact, he had some really good sayings, some excellent sayings, some of them reach us today. One of the things he said was, a person becomes very happy, when they look at their good deeds, to intercede for them with a law. What does that mean? It means when you do good deeds, then these things are good in front of a law and helps maybe offset the bad deeds. And by the way, the Prophet Muhammad peace be
upon him told us essentially that if you do a bad deed, follow it up with what good deed. Another thing that he taught us about is that if you really want to show your gratitude, to a law,
for what Allah gives you, then you share it with other people. And by the way, some time that's hard for people to do, because they have wealth, or they have some money or something. And you don't want to share that with other people. You want it for yourself, but Allah gave it to you. So if you want to really show a lot, thank you, you do what
you give it, and you share it? Well, after this one, after inocle Idris, he also had a son, and then he had a son. And then came
the next one for Noah or no.
And this is the one we want to talk about today a little bit about him. And we have talked about it to some extent. But we just talked about the flood and what happened. But what actually came about in the beginning helps you to really understand today's point. The point today being what happens when people worship other than a law. This is our main point to understand how real evil comes about we've been talking about since talking about evil. But what really brings it about is when people begin to worship other than a law. It comes in stages. And it's the same stages that came at the time of Noah la Salaam. What we know is that when people begin to worship other than the law, that's
the beginning of the breakdown. That's the real problem. And so what happened, there were times when there were very good people, very good people, and they used to worship a lot. And they were following the religion of Adam. And when I say religion, I mean the way of Adam, what he did, what he taught, and what he was all about, like a lot worshiping only a law and doing what Allah wants you to do.
One of the people who at that time was very religious, his name was what Dan?
Everybody loved what done and he was very nice. And he did what he worshipped along. He shared his wealth that Allah gave him with other people who was very kind, very nice. And then he died. And the people were sad. Oh my god, they were sad.
crying. And then shaytaan came to them and said, Oh, you're so sorry for what Don has gone? Yes. Yeah, he's both. So okay. How about if I give you like a picture of him? So you can remember him? This is this is good. A good idea. even make a statue of him. Oh, that's good. Put a statue in the meeting place where people used to sit and meet, put it right where he used to sit. Good idea.
And the people used to come and even look at it and remember what on what a great guy he was.
Then she had gone came to him again and said, How about I put one picture or image of him in your house and in your house? And in your out? Oh, good idea. So we'll remember him. We love him so much. And they did. Now the people didn't pray to Him. And they didn't think he was alone. But they did like those statues. And when those people died, and their children came in, they looked at them and they said, Who is this? This is what done? Who is what done? Okay. And they see, huh? Everybody seems to like this guy. So they start to ask, they're asking the statue for something. And their children did the same. And they began to believe if I need anything, I can ask what on the statue
for what do I need? Will it work? No. If they get it, it was really coming from a law. If they didn't get it, I was still because of a law. But they forgot about a law. And they started thinking about the statues. And it wasn't just were done. There was another one one that they thought had power, another one that they thought had wisdom, and another and another and all these used to be people and they died. And then they made the image or statue of those people.
The people became far away from the right way. Because they were practicing something wrong.
And we know it's not logical to ask from a rock or a stick or a stone. We already said that this doesn't fit in your thinking does it? It's wrong. So it's a lie. It always starts the same way. Watch what happens. Remember this story we talked about? When the children of Adam, they were upset? What happened? Because one of them, he doesn't want to obey his parents. Now. He didn't. He was disobedient to his parents marry this girl. He said no, I want to marry this one, remember?
And then when a law made it clear which one of them was right, which are the two boys, he still disobeyed. First, he disobeyed his parents, then he disobeyed along. Then what did he do? He became angry. And
he killed his own brother. You're right. This is horrible. Yeah. But you see how it comes, it starts with lies. It starts with envy. Oh, he wanted what his brother had, I want that for me.
So all of this adds up, and it adds up. And the people of the time of Noah were really bad, really, really bad. And they used to want everything for themselves and a few of them. They became rich, powerful and wealthy. But most of the people were poor. And they had nothing. So when your adolescent came along, inspired him, and let him understand the religion of Adam, the way of doing what Allah wants you to do. So he was very smart, by the way, high intellect. And he could argue with people in a good way. And he understood how to show them the signs, the signs they belong in the day. And what comes in the day is the sun. And what happens in the day, things grow. It becomes
warm. And this is the time for activity. Now what happens in the alternation, though, of the night, in the nighttime, what happens? It's cool, quiet, and dark. And what happens then you can look up or relax and think and look at the stars. Oh, we know our direction now by the stars. And we know that times the seasons by the position of the moon and the shape of the moon. And we can tell even what day it is by the moon. Yeah. So the people understood a lot from the signs. And he said this air signs from a law. This is from a law, not from the statutes that you guys have. And then he met with all of the gathering and ability to guys check this out. Listen up. Here's what I have for you. He
began to talk very high intellectual explaining things to them proving things and they were like, Huh, double shot shocked, because they hadn't heard something like this before. These statues can benefit you. There's no benefit here. Do you need something you ask a law plant stuff in the ground? let it grow out. Ask the Lord to give you water. Can these statues make water rain here? No, but a lot can cause he created everything. They're like, huh? Yeah, well, huh. They were pretty shocked. Now what happened right away the poor people
The downtrodden, they began to think, yeah, this makes sense. And they began to believe. And they began to follow no allissa now.
But the wealthy people, the powerful people, the community that said, No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I don't believe that. And besides, you know, you're no angel, you don't come to us and tell us anything. You know, I listen and said, okay, check it out. Did I tell you, I'm an angel. I'm a human like you. I'm no different than you. except Allah inspired me What to say? I'm just showing you signs. Oh, is it? Yeah, yeah. But you got all these losers, man, you got all these poor dudes with you. And I can be honest about it. If you want us in your religion, you need to kick these guys out. And then we'll talk about it because the rich and the powerful, can't be in the same religion with
the losers. And the losers. Let them go.
upon Allah Look at this. And what did know is and I'm telling him,
he said, No way. No way, I'm not gonna drive away the believers.
It's not for me to do that. If you want to believe this is with you. But if you want to disbelieve,
only Allah is going to be the guide. So what happened? They began to reject what he said. And then they would say this and that, and then he would bring more proof. Oh, darn, oh, what about this, and he would bring more proof and more signs. And this went on and on until they were exhausted, they were fed up, and they bring something else. And he bring more proof, because the law has many signs, many proofs for the disbeliever. Even it went on for almost 1000 years, on and on and on.
And they still, what we learned from this is
that knowledge, and intellect are a big benefit to us, if they're based on truth, but no benefit if they're based on lies. And what no ally saddam had
was knowledge and truth.
So when you use that, and you bring your proof, you can use this for your own understanding, and to share it with others exactly what he did. Even those people accused him remember, they said, Oh, Are you some kind of angel? And he said, I didn't claim to be any Angel. I didn't say that.
So what do you want from us? He said, I didn't ask you for anything. I don't need anything from you. But I get a gift from Allah. But if you want to believe it's good for you.
Well, what happened next, he kept warning them. Now there's 1000 years, and he's warning them and saying Allah punishment is gonna come if you don't do it, because up to now you notice the people kind of gradually got away from the right belief to worshipping these statues gradually.
And the Lord tells us that he never punishes any nation until What? After he sends a messenger. And this is their messenger. He was the messenger to these people. And he was telling them guys don't have false worship, worship, blah, blah. And they rejected it. In fact, the court they said, Oh, yeah, if your truck will bring it on, where's where's the punishment? We don't see it.
Guess what happened next? He told him, don't ask for this. Don't rush it up. Because when it comes, when it starts, it's too late. And I can't help you then. No benefit then. And this is even true. Even today. You have to remember that when you start seeing the income, it's too late. When somebody is about to die, it's too late them to believe.
The time to believe as soon as you get the message in your head accepted. Well, they kept asking him teasing him make fun of him haha.
Then Allah inspired him to do what you remember the story because he was telling them, there's going to be this great flood. And they're like, Oh, we got a drought. We don't even have enough water to take care of our plants. Oh, yeah, sometimes we get a little water. But when they did, by the way, they weren't thankful to Allah. And then that goes away. And sometime we get some fruit or crops but that goes away. We keep battling all these problems. And water would be great to have and you're telling us it's going to be a flood. Ah, bring it on. Bring it on.
Then No, I said I'm starting to build the ship, the big boat, huge boat. We talked about it. It got really big. And people really laughed. They were like,
who would go with this guy? And really those poor people. The losers Hello. I'm not going with them. No
Because they thought they were gonna get in the boat and just sit there and nothing's gonna happen.
And then an amazing thing. All are inspired. No, I still have to go get what? Animals, two by two by two to bring the animals in. They're gone. Okay. Okay, that's it. He lost that taken animals into the big boat, and there's no water.
But some people believe and they went with him and they help, you know, but animals must have been hard. Hmm. Can you imagine what that was like, with all the animals in there
must have been pretty strong.
But they did it. They got everything in there. And then it started a little bit of rain.
A little bit more.
He couldn't see see, they said
and some more rain. And then he started coming water from underneath. He said, Look,
don't worry. Even he called his son. And his son said, Don't worry, I'll just go up the mountain. He said it's gonna go up the mountain. He said, I'll go higher. I'm not going to go with
his son and his wife didn't believe they wouldn't go in the ship. But the others did. And they went in and sealed it up. And as you know, the rain came and the water gush. And it came more and more and more on to the ship lifted up and went up
and killed the water began to go way up the mountains. And this is amazing. That's a lot of water. This is we're not talking about leaving the bathtub overflow, we're talking serious water. Huge flood. And then what happened, covered the mountains. Once it covered the top the mountains, there was no place for the people was there. So they all drowned. Except for the people in the ship with no.
As we know that was a long time, a long time that the water came down in a very long time that they were out in the water in the ocean. Nobody even can tell you exactly how long but it was very long.
It was after no LSM released some birds. He released them, they might come back with nothing. But then he released some birds. And they came back with something and he said, Aha. Because you came back with this branch this thing. I know that must be some land somewhere now. Then he released some birds they never came back at all. So what do we learn from the subject? We learn that knowledge based on truth
is a good way to have the right beliefs. One of the things that these prophets taught Idris and no lie.
They taught people about justice, how to be fair. They taught people about Salah what is Salah, Salah is when you stand in worship belong and you bow down on the ground, you put your head down on the ground and thank Allah for all the things that he's given you. And they taught the people about fasting. Even if you're wealthy, you have money, you have everything. Why should I fast? I don't have food, why should I not eat. But this is when you let your brain overcome your desires. My body said Eat eat. But my brain said no don't. Instead, give your food to somebody else today.
And this was teaching people how to share so that instead of meat eating today, I'm gonna find a poor person and say you eat today. And this is what it was talking about. When Allah gives you something you show gratitude to Allah by sharing it with the other people. And this shows what gratitude
is like saying big thank you to a law, when you take care of the people. A very good lesson from there. Also, there's something they taught called the cat. The cat means to purify, you purify with Zika. And it means to purify your money, your wealth.
And even Idris was telling the people about this. And even know LS Nam was telling people about this. Take some of what you have, every year, take a certain amount and give it to the poor, give it to them.
And what will happen, I'll be pleased with you. Because you shared what Allah gave you. And this is a beautiful thing. So fasting
Zica charity is another word for charity, and the Salah, the worship of Allah. These are all things that we know from all the way back with the ancient prophets. We find it even in the Scriptures, even today in the Old Testament, when it said they used to fall on their face. Well, I don't think they slipped on him.
Banana peel and Bell, I think you can see that it's talking about such that the prostration when you bow down and put your head on the ground, and you thank a law, you thank the law for what he's giving you. And today, even though Muslims we do the same thing, first, we bear witness to the intellectual clear understanding of the truth. There can only be one God, a law, and you have to worship Him. And second in the worship, you do it the way he wants it to be with our Salah.
Third, to take what you have and share it with other people with the Zika
and don't forget fasting not just in Ramadan we have Ramadan a whole month of fasting Yeah. But Allah tells us even in the Quran, Nia EULA Dena amanu. All you who believe
quotevalet comb, it's ordered for you to do the sound of Ramadan, fasting Ramadan, as it was ordered for the people before you. So we know even in the Quran, that the people before were ordered this same thing to do this fasting, and in the fasting. And I think one of you mentioned this, to me the other day, that fasting is more than just staying away from food, and staying away from drink. It's also not fighting or arguing, right? We don't fight and argue that time we're not supposed to anyway, but especially not when we're fasting. So all of these things have always been a part of the message that comes with the prophets. And as we study more of the prophets lives, and their
conditions, we'll find more of the things in more details. And understand how it came to them, and how they used it and how they taught it to the other people. Does that make sense?
And this is a good place for us to take some time and think about what we've been talking about. So I will say to you the greeting, and listen for it back Salaam Alaikum
Bismillah Alhamdulillah.
Sometimes we can go straight through the lives of the prophets one by one by one to a point. And other times we're going to go through and mention them not in any particular order, but according to the message that they have. Because the message is always the same. It doesn't change. The biggest message of all remind me what's the main message.
And I love the way you guys do that. That sweet is really sweet, you got it. That's the main message, if we don't get anything else from our program, except that inshallah that's sufficient. But there are many, many other things that we're going to be talking about. Now, to continue. How about if the rich make all the rules, and the poor people don't get to say anything. So it matters very much to know that it's only fair if the law the Creator, the one who created us, the
one who makes everything, the one who takes care of everything. He's the only one who gets to make the rules. But it's up to us to understand it and follow it. Some of the prophets who came later on afternoon a salon. They also were abused by their people. Has we're going to learn in some of the stories you're going to hear about prophets that were horribly abused. Some of them were punished some of
them are whipped and beaten. Some of them they even killed them. They killed their profits. Can you imagine such a thing as that? In fact, they tried to kill Jesus peace be upon him. They tried. And what about Muhammad? sallallahu? Alayhi. Salaam? Did they try to kill him? Oh, yeah, we know real well about that. Did they beat him? Oh, we know they threw stones on him. There's so many beautiful stories we have with the prophets. And you learn a lot from it. But the most important thing is don't consider these just stories. These are not just fables, these are not use tales. But these are real life experiences that real people lived. And they saw it. And we know it. So you and I will
take benefit from it. And we see in our life what we need to do with it. When we deal with our parents, we have to be what? obedient
good to them. If they get old, during our life, we have to take care of them. And even if they get really, really sick or bad, we can't even say off when we're trying to take care of them. This is in the books before and this is also in the Quran today. We have to take care of parents. What are some of the other things we have to do? Well, it tells us real clear not to commit adultery, it means you have to get married. You get married, you don't have a boyfriend, you don't have a girlfriend. What else? Don't lie. Don't say something and you know it's not true. What else don't steal. Don't take things that don't belong to you. This what our law says. But listen to this one. Don't have envy.
Because even at the time of Adam la Salaam, remember about the boy who is envious of his brother. He had envy hasin How come you get the good looking girl and I don't? This is envy. hassad don't love the themes that are going to go away. Don't fall in love with these things that you want it so much that you forget. It's all gonna go away. A beautiful girl becomes an old lady, doesn't she?
He's not beautiful anymore. Is he?
handsome man. He becomes the old man. Not so handsome anymore.

A fancy car becomes old, it becomes junk. Nobody wants an old guard.
A nice big house becomes old falls down. Have you seen old buildings where you live? Real old old buildings. You said Ooh, look at that. But at the time, they don't appear one by Sir. Oh,

All of these things that we've been talking about in the lives of the prophets will benefit us. Only if we get the message. Only if we get the meaning of the story. Otherwise, it gets stories. You know, like SpongeBob? Is this a story? There's nothing.

And it can benefit

And he can't speak and can't answer us. And then what did he say? Why do you pray to him? You just said he can't hear. You just said he can't answer you. So why are you praying to Him? Get it? Well, you remember what happened next. He had the argument with him, rode and rode, throw him into fire alarm made the fire cool. But then he still had to leave, didn't he? And he went into Egypt. We talked about that. But what happened next, after he followed around in Egypt, different places that he went, he met some of the descendants of some of the other children of Adam. Because remember, there's no human being except all of them originally came from all Adam and Eve.
So now, when they met, they came there. And the king gave them what some sheep and a girl Anheuser. Remember what happened to her? What happened next? And they went out into the desert. He took hyzer and her child which was his male, into the desert, let them then allow me water come What was the name of the water? Do you remember?

She was hoping to see something though. What was she looking for?
People, she was hoping there would be a caravan or something like that, looking looking for people. Now after the water came, and they had water, and two people came, didn't they.
And she told them, they asked her you know, for permission to come. And she said you can come but you can't take over.
And they respected that they did.
And we talked about what happened later, after it's my job became older, he became bigger, he got married. One of the things we have to remember when you get married, it's very important that you have to be good to your wife and honor her. And you have to be good to your husband and honor him. But the obedience is to a law. The real obedience is to a law and to his messenger. And so your parents, so if your parents tell you something, you really need to listen to them. This is very important. This relationship with our parents, we've been talking about so many prophets, that most people know about. Now, let's talk about a prophet that a lot of people don't know about. Or if
they've heard his name, they're not real sure about his real story.
His name is Luke. Can you say Luke?
Now the way they spelled it in English with only one Oh, they thought it was a lot a lot. They call him prophet blocked.
Well, he was very close to Ebrahim at a salon he lived about the same time. Now remember, this is long after the flood.
And what happened here is strange, really strange. Because Luke lived in a strange place called Sodom and Gomorrah. And the people there were very strange to very strange.

is very strange. It's not normal. Not something a lot. Like, it's really bad. This is mentioned in the scripture from before, and it's mentioned in the same way.
Let's talk about how loot had to do with the subject
to travelers came to loot house, knock, knock knock on the door. He let them in. And he thought they were like just two men. They were very handsome. And he was very happy to have visitors.
But then he found they are what there were angels.
Yeah, they were real angels. But he didn't realize right away. So when they came, then some people banged on his door. And these men were saying hey, we saw some handsome men go in your house. We want those guys send them out.
He said I can't they're my guess I'm protecting them. They said come on open the door. We want those guys. Come on, send them out. said no, I'm not gonna do that. That's bad. And you guys are bad. And Luke had been telling them the same thing that all the prophets still the people. There's only one God worship Him. He stay away from things which are evil and stay away from this real horrible thing which you guys are doing. This is bad. Don't do this thing. Not nice. But they didn't like that.
Why. And Allah explains it to us real clear, because inserted inside of those people, their desires had become so strong, that they became almost like crazy. Because when a person wants too much and too many things, and he keeps going like this, then his brain stops working right? He starts becoming Majnoon crazy. And it happened. It happened to these guys. They were weird.
But look at esalaam he peace be upon he kept protecting, protecting them, not going to open the door, you can beat on it all you want to and they were trying to break the door down and it was getting really serious. Dangerous told him, don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. It's going to be okay.
But what you need to do, you need to take your wife and your family and you need to get out. Because the last punishment is going to come on these people. Now look, he's a prophet, and he's trying to tell these people and he did the same as we've learned before, he tried to warn the people about the punishment of alarm. This is called anger, rather, his anger and azab which means punishment of loss upon without any stealing, telling them has fear of this, you better be afraid of a loss rather his anger and you better fear his at the Azov of a law the punishment of a law. And by the way, do you know how to say that in Arabic,
taqwa taqwa, just what is to have something between you and Allah, his anger and his punishment, you put up something between you and the punishment of Allah. How can you do that? is to have Taqwa for Allah, and do what a lot likes, and stay away from what he doesn't like. And he was trying to tell us people a simple thing, just stop doing this thing you're doing. And then we're going no, you don't tell us what to do. They were bad. They did other things, too. They did lots of other horrible things. But the most and worst thing of all, they didn't worship the law. They didn't believe in the law. And they didn't do what Allah wants them to do. They were very passive. This obedient to Allah.
Guess what happened? The punishment of Allah came. It came big time. Loot, la tsunami listen to the angels. They told him that to get out of town. Okay. So what he did, he took his family, and he was leaving. Let's get out of here. Let's go. Because the punishment is coming.
Big time. But his wife wouldn't go. Sarah stay here.
Because she was from these losers. She was from these bad people. She stayed, didn't go. Children, our
children are Muslim. Well, if you don't follow the profit that comes to you, then you can't be considered as a true believer. or Muslim. So that's what happened. He had to live because you can't force anybody. Can you force somebody to be a Muslim? No. Can you force people to believe? No, you can't. There's no way. So they left. He took his family they would go under law.
And after they went to a certain distance for a certain period of time, then the law made something happened. Now remember the flood that came with North? That's pretty bad, right? Look what a lot did this time. He made it rain again. Only this time it didn't rain water. What do you think rain down on these people? alarm made it rain Fire.
Fire came down on them. Horrible fire? Yeah, it had stones in the fire. I guess you know
what happened to her?
Same thing she burned up with them.
It was horrible.
so horrible. But this is what happens when people don't obey their prophet. This is what happens when they ignore the clear proofs. They ignore the warnings that come to them.
They have to pay the price that will suffer in this life and they will suffer in the next slide. We say the fire came from a law but obviously he made it come out of the sky. Some people said it was a volcano. Some people said that it was an eruption from the ground. It just went up in the air like a gas fire or something like that. But does it really matter does it they burned up all of them. And then what happened? Allah made all of it to go underwater, under under under. Some people say it's still there today at the bottom of a sea called the Dead Sea. What's strange about this sea is nothing grows there. Nothing at all lives there. Why? Because it has so much salt in it.
Maybe, or maybe because the law just doesn't want anything to be alive there anymore. But that's what they say at the bottom of this season.
The place of Sodom and Gomorrah, and it's a tourist attraction even today, if you go there, you will find people who will take me say yes, there it is. And, you know, this is probably this. And that might be where this happened and that happened doesn't really matter. But what's the truth is, whenever Allah sends a messenger to you with a warning, then you have to do what you have to obey. Obey your messenger, and stay away from this dangerous thing. Now it's a little bit about the Prophet lute. Also, there's more about the Prophet lute, that he was joined at one point back with Ibrahim alayhis, salam, and they had many sheep and Tyrell and they went different directions, and
many good things like this. But the main point of the story of loot, I think, is the mentioned about this subject. And talk about it a little bit. Well, when people have desire to be close to another person, like the marriage, when you get married, you want to be close to your husband, and you want to be close to your wife in a good way and have children together. That's normal, Allah puts that in your head. But when people have this big desire, that's really strange. It just burns inside of them. It starts going cuckoo, starts clicking wrong loading the head and in the heart, and they start desiring strange things that are not what Allah wants for you.
Now, let's ask the question, What if a person has this because many people today have this? In fact, in my country, they're saying that oh, this is normal. It's okay. No problem kind of scares me because I keep thinking, hey, what am I doing here? And they're sounding like the people who they call them cold, more loot the nation of loot. But anyhow, what do we do? And I've had some of them come to me and say, What do I do? I have this inside of me. And it's a boys that I rather be with a boy, I don't want to get married to a girl. I want to get married to a boy. I said, Oh, that he said, but I don't know why that's a mechanic be fixed. What do you think I told him? I told him,
yes, it can be fixed. If you believe in a law, if you ask a law. And if you make elbow to a law, and you didn't do it anymore. You know what he did, he sent me emails. And I wrote a big article for it. And I put it on my website. And he read this article, and he read the article to his boyfriend. That sounds strange than avoiding a boyfriend. Guess what happened.
Both of them, they understood the message. Both of them, they made talbo to a law, both of them became Muslims. Both of them stopped this way. One of them got married to a lady, the other one, he moved to the opposite side of the United States. So he wouldn't see those people anymore. And this is amazing that he did that when he sent me the last email, he said, I'll never write to you again. Because I changed my life, I changed my name, I changed everything. And I don't want to remember anything there. But I want to say big thank you to you. And thank you to a law, because this is how I got guided the right way. I cried. When I read the letter, I became very, very happy. Because I
see that a love can work in many strange ways, on anybody. So no matter how bad a person is, they need to remember, if you just go to a law and ask him, ask him to guide you ask Him to forgive you, he can do that. That's a law. When the Luddites, you in a lab brings you to the right way, then inshallah you're in good shape, and a lot forgives everything.
It's one thing by the way to be punished in this life. And it's quite another matter, the punishment that comes in the next life to the disbelievers. And it's even worse than anything here. And one of the things we know about this, is that whoever is believing in Allah, and doing what Allah wants them to do, allow will make it easy for them here. And definitely, it will be better for him in the next slide. And this is a good place for us to take some time and think about what we've been talking about. So I will say to you the greeting, and listen for it back, Salaam Alaikum.
In the stories of all of the prophets, we keep coming back and seeing the same thing. There are those people who wake up to the truth, and they want to obey along. And then there are those people who don't want to obey along
in another story, and I really like these stories because they helped me ever since I was a small boy. I've heard the stories, but sometimes I got confused in the story. I didn't understand it. When I came in Islam and I found all the stories of the prophets,
the cassettes, Colombia, then I understood because the message is still there. It's not changed, altered, or corrupted. Would you like me to tell you one? Well, this is a story about people who also disobeyed the law. And they had a prophet they had a messenger and they were close to the place where Abraham Allison
started from this is Iraq. And there was a place called Ur of the Chaldees. And that's the mountain range that's there even today. And the city that they were in was called Nana wha Can you say nanoha? Manila? Yeah, that's Arabic. But also it's called Minerva, Nineveh? Yeah, we say Nepal because you have the VI in your language but Arabic doesn't have to be. Doesn't really matter. The name of the city does it? What matters is what happened there. Now they didn't get a flood, and they didn't get rain of fire. In fact, what happened to them was really strange. Their Prophet was named what Yunus? Can you say Eunice?
In English, they call him Jonah. I don't know how they got Jonah Yunus. But that's his name. Eunice. La salaam, peace be upon him.
Alone inspired him as he inspired the other prophets. And he went to them. And he explained to them and he talked to them if you remember the story of Noah a tsunami give good examples. And he told them and only a few people believe no, at least to them.
But how many people listen to Eunice zero. nobody listened to him. And he kept talking and talking and just like no la Sonam. And then he told him about the warning just like loot and a Salaam that allows punishment is going to come on this city, this village is going to be destroyed alone is gonna send punishment. And they were saying, okay, who cares?
Same as before, every time that people do the same thing, but then what happened? This time the Prophet is supposed to stay and give the message. But he ran away. He said, I'm not listening. I'm not gonna stay around and be part of this. They won't come to the right belief. So
got a boat. There was a boat leaving he said,
I want to go on here. Give me a ticket. On the boat away, they went out into the sea. And when they were out in the sea alone made a big storm come a big storm. It was so bad that the ocean was throwing water over the top of the boat and the boat was going way down. And the ocean looked like mountains and then they'd be up here and then they'd be down there. And the people were so scared and the boat was rocking back and forth like this. So they extended people were scared. We're gonna drown. We're gonna die. Somebody on this boat must be really bad for this dam. But we never saw such a storm. Is this ever.
Then they were deciding who to throw overboard. You're the guy. No, not me. No, you You're evil. No, you're bad. You're bad luck. No, they went through this thing. And finally unicyclist and I'm sick. It's me. I'm the one. You're the only good guy on the whole boat. We're not gonna throw you over. He said no, it's really me. They said no, no, no. Let's cast lots and see who goes. It's kind of like, you know what? When you have some straws, and you put them in your hand one is shorter than the rest. And they would put it out. Okay, you take one you take one you take one and who got the shortest one. Yunus? They said, No, no, no, let's do it again. They get some more and they put them
in is okay. You take one you take one who got the short one, Eunice. Well, we don't like to throw this guy over. But it's what it looks like.
Now, by the way, they didn't say they believed in the law. They believed in good luck. Anyway, they threw him over boom, Flash. As soon as he went overboard. A law made the storm stop. And it settled down and they went Oh, and sailed off. And the meantime, what happened to Eunice a big whale. Now you know what a whale is, is a whale of fish.
What's not? whales are not fish. whales are animals. whales breathe air. And they give birth to a live baby. Whereas fish, they breathe through the water. And they lay eggs. So whales are not fish
was an animal. And by the way, that whole on top of their head. They breathe through that. They get air in there. And when they come up, that's why they go and they blow everything out like that. You seem to do that. That's when they're catching their breath. Kind of like you hold water and you've ever done that be underwater. Hold your breath. Hold your breath and you come out you go.
That's what the whales doing. Anyway, the whale swallowed portal Jonah. And now here he is peace be upon inside of this whale. Now do you imagine he was in bad shape? Oh, yeah. Oh yeah. Even if a person is in prison in a prison, which is bad. At least there's some room to move around. He didn't have any room and they're dirty. Even in a prison. There'll be a little bit of light within there. There was no light at all where he was in a prison. You could eat something. What is Jonah going to eat inside a whale? Maybe some dead fish. I don't know.
But it was pretty bad all the way around. And it wasn't Yes, for a couple of minutes either. It was for a long time. Some people said days and nights and days and nights that he was there in that way. And by the way, in a prison, at least, you can breathe and live, but instead of whale whales digesting you, and that was the condition that he was in, being digested even by this whale, for all this time, all this time, then Allah inspired him. And this is the part that I didn't know. Until I read it in the Koran. It's the most beautiful story. It's in chapter 20 Surah Taha, if you want to look it up, I think you'll find it's a beautiful thing. Because this unit what he said, La Ilaha, il
panaca in a quantum and it dawned on me.
What does that mean? He realized, this worry was he didn't blame a law.
He knew better than to blame a law, didn't he? He said,
Only you are the one worthy to be worship. Just you Allah. Allah worship is for you.
The glory is for you.
And for sure, I'm the one that did the wrong thing to myself. Can you say that? La Ilaha

You know what? When you go to Islamic school, you learn a lot, don't you? It's good, isn't it? So what happened next? As soon as he said that a lot made that whale go. And it went and
spit him out. were right on the dry land. He was back. I imagine he was a bit dirty, too. What do you think?
It was bad. And he's like, wow, wow. And he went into the whale alive. And he came out alive. That's pretty amazing, isn't it? When he got back to his village, he went to the people guess what he found? were the people destroyed by the flood? Nope. destroyed by a fire? Nope. They weren't destroyed at all. You know why? Because every one of them accepted the belief. And they became believers. While he was gone, they did. Because when he left, they went, hey, what's that crazy guy's been running around here telling us all about the end and everything. Then somebody said, You know what? He's gone. He ran out. You know what, maybe it is gonna happen. That's probably why you
guys, wait, let's wake up. You know, maybe this is what happened. And anyway, they decided we better believe we better believe in the law, to better believe in that messenger. And we better do what Allah wants us to do. They became believers. When he came back, he was like hope. They're all believers. This teaches us a huge, huge lesson about conveying the message telling other people about the message. It means if you warn the people,
or if you don't warn the people, it's all the same to the people. Because they'll believe or they won't believe, according to a law, your job is only to tell the truth. Tell the people but if they don't accept it, so many messengers before didn't get accepted either.
But if they believe that's not from you, either, that's from Allah. It is a law and only Allah who guides to the truth. And whoever Allah guides, nobody will miss guide them. But whoever Allah lets go astray to be lost, and nobody can guide them to the truth. Did you know that? Yeah. So I want to think about that for a minute and realize that this message that comes from the story of Eunice, Allison and Jonah, peace be upon him.
This is a story that carries a double message first, don't just obey a law because you could suffer in this life and in the next life. Second, don't think you can guide the people because you can't even if you're a prophet, and Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, was told the same exact thing in the Quran. Allah told Mohammed Salah Salaam, you don't guide the people.
You'll find it in chapter four. You do not guide who you love. But it's Allah who guides whoever he wants to. But you can sure tell them and you can pray for them and say, Oh Allah guide the people.
Guide us, guide all of us. And we say it every day in our prayer. By the way, did you know what we say in the prayer every day? We say, Edina Serato. Mr. King, what does that mean? Allah Guide us to the straight path. And that's my dog for all of us right now. I mean, I'm not sure you'll find it in chapter four. You do not guide who you love. But it's a law, who guides whoever he wants to. But you can sure tell them and you can pray for them and say, oh, Allah, guide the people, guide us guide all of us. But what about the other side of the earth? What about where the Americas are? And there are stories, by the way, just in case you didn't know this. There are stories all around the world about an ancient flood that came at one time. Even in South America, they have stories of a big flood that happened centuries and centuries ago. They have stories in Arabia of a big flood that came a long time ago. Again, like I said, the most important thing to realize is that all the world that they
knew was underwater. And the reason that we need to know the story is not about how much water there was. But what happens when you disobey and disbelieve in the law. But it's a good question. Thank you. Who else has a question like this? Ladies, I think you have a question, huh?

Why did they throw units in the water? They were superstitious. They had believed in omens. They didn't. It wasn't because they believe in Allah. But they had superstitions about things if certain things happen, they used to believe different things about it. For instance, if they saw a group of birds, and they want to know, should I go this way? Should I go that way? Maybe Should I buy a cow today or sell a couch? I want to know different things. They see a group of birds flying and they say, Okay, do the birds go to the right, then I'll do this. But if they go to the left, I'll do that is superstition. Birds fly where they're gonna fly. And so they have these superstitions and they
believe that somebody on the boat was evil, or bad luck, more like bad luck than anything. And that's why they want to start throwing people overboard. Another thing that people used to do a long time ago, when anything bad happened, they used to throw innocent people into the volcano to burn up. They particularly like to take a young girl and said let's take her as a sacrifice to the God of the volcano or the God of the sun or something and Thor in there. Okay, and now we'll have good crops next year, even at the time of Omar rhodiola. Juana when the Muslims had gone into Egypt, the river Nile not her meal dried up almost like there was an almost no water and it was supposed to be
the time of the year of the water. It didn't come and they were still
Oh man, this is a big problem. Now we got these Muslims Here and Now see, we don't have any water. So you know, we got to go back to our old way. And their old way, even though they were Christians, by the way, their old way was every year, let's throw a girl into the Nile River, throw some girls in the Nile River, let them drown, and when they're dead, okay, then we're going to get the water to run again. They were sacrificing to the God of the river.
Yeah, but the Muslims forbid them and kill them. No, you can't do that. They wouldn't let them do that. Um, or even the last of them? No way, Ray, I'm not gonna let you throw any women in this river.
But the people kept complaining, this
is a proof we need to throw some girls in there. I'm reading the last send a message to Omar ready lohana. He said, Oh, river. Hmm. If you are under the control of Allah, then come on, and run on. But if you're under some kind of like magic or you have your own control, then stay where you are. We don't need you. And of course, what happened allow made the water run and run and it still runs until today. The message that we get from this is that there's a lot of superstition out there. People do things thinking it will help them but it really won't. What's your question? When
when the time when the Nile dried up, so when they drowned, one go in the water and after what the what the man filled up. So they will they will again thing that because we throw the girl the water came again didn't follow. So what they did afterwards? Actually what you said right, there is a very important statement.
Very important. You see, it's only a law that controls but he tests people doesn't he? So he knows what's inside of people's hearts. He knows that they want to disbelieve in him. So it makes that easy for you to believe if you want to believe. But he makes it easy for the disbelievers to disbelieve if they want to unlock and make things happen. And so some people might say, Well, you know, if I get out of the bed on the left side every day, I'll make money. But if I get on the right side of the bed, I'm gonna lose money. So what Allah is going to do any day he gets out on the left side, Allah will give him money, he'll say, Oh, wow. And on the day, he gets out on the right side,
you'll lose money. And then what will happen? He'll say, oh, man, this bed is important to me. Hmm. And how I get out of this bed is everything. But it has nothing to do with it. It all comes from alarm. No matter how many times he gets on the left side or the right side, whatever he gets is not from the beds from a law yes or no. Yes. Sometimes when you're walking on the sidewalk, you see these cracks the cracks on the sidewalk. And somebody tell you, oh, if you step on this crack, it's bad luck for you. So you have to step over the crack. I remember when I was a child, they used to say, step on a crack. Break your mother's back in something horrible like this, you know?
But it's stupid. So one day I decided, well, I'm gonna step on the crack and see what happens. I went home. And my mother came home from teaching. She was a schoolteacher. When she came home. She said, you know, my back's been bothering me all day. I said, Oh, my God. Oh, my God. What did I do to my poor mother? Oh, and I told her what I did. I'm sorry, mother. I stepped down at Greg. And she was, by the way, she said even though she wasn't Muslim, she understood from Christian. That doesn't mean anything. She said that superstition. She said, I've had back problem for a long time. Did you step on a crack yesterday? I said no. She said I had a pain yesterday. And you didn't step on it. So
don't worry about it. I said, Oh, okay. Some people believe in things like that. They look at the stars. And they say, okay, when that star moves over there, it's going to be like so and so. And when the moon is over here, such and such and this and this, and they act like they know everything, you know, they even write books about it, and they tell people Oh, come to me and I will tell you how to have good fortune and good luck, I will tell you how to have many children or to have a good position. Just come to me and I'm going to tell you do this and do that you're born on such a day. You're born in such a time in such a place and this and this and that and they complicate things
very much. But what is it? Zippo nothing is nothing.
Some people believe in colors. I heard about a religion of colors that people believe that red This is the color of war if you work you're going to have all kinds of things happen all day. It's going to be like really crazy stuff gonna be you know, people fighting and everything. You're wearing red. Oh my god, I got a fight with you.
What is it? Or if you wear blue? It's like a cool. It's gonna be like laid back. Okay, he's wearing blue. Okay, cool, dude.
If you were black, it's like real serious intellectual. They had all kinds of crazy stuff. I don't know if that's exactly what they had. But then I
Somebody's telling me about numbers. They said this number means this one is the prime number two is doubled up three. That's a perfect Trinity blah, blah, blah. Somebody said four is a magic number, because it means the fam blah, blah, blah. And I said, why is this up? You're telling me, I used to have a book, I had this book, and it had all these weird things. And I used to read that book and say, Hmm, maybe this maybe that, you know, but all of it is nothing in front of a lot. This is bad. It becomes what it says what a lot does is to stay away from called shirk, avoid that at all costs. Now, that was a good question you brought up. But by the way, I will tell you one more thing. One
time there was a famous debate between a Muslim and a Christian. At the end of the debate, the Christian said, Oh, you know, there was somebody, and he wanted to be a Muslim, but he had cancer and he said, Oh, Mohammed, cure my cancer, cure my cancer, and it didn't get cured. Many said, Oh, Jesus, cure my cancer, cure my cancer, and it got cured. So I said, I guess Jesus belief is better.
The Muslim should have said, Excuse me, we don't ask Mohammed, anything. We asked a law. And if the person had asked that law, then it would be up to a lot to cure him or not curing, but at least he would be in the right belief. But whoever asked a human being, whether it's Muhammad, peace be upon him, or Jesus, peace be upon him, doesn't matter. You can ask them, you can only ask for law. It's one thing by the way to be punished in this life. And it's quite another matter, the punishment that comes in the next life to the disbelievers. And it's even worse than anything here. And one of the things we know about this is that whoever is believing in the law, and doing what Allah wants them
