Shaykh Yasir Qadhi attempts to extract the right meanings of the names of Allah – Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem, Khayrar-Rahimeen, Arhamur-Rahimeen and Dhur-Rahma.
Ar-Rahman and Ar Raheem are those name of Allah that resonate with a profound status,both linked, and are the only two names that are the first verses in the Surahs in the Qur’an.
The Prophet ﷺ says, ‘The most beloved names to Allah are Abdullah and Abd-ArRahman.’
Ar-Rahman is mentioned 57 times in the Qur’an. When Allah mentions the largest creation, His Throne (Arsh), He uses Ar-Rahman 7 times. How do Ar Rahman and Ar Raheem differ from one another? Shaykh Yasir Qadhi answers.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “When Allah created the creation, He divided his mercy into 100 parts. 1 has been revealed to this world and because of it people are merciful to each other. He has saved 99 parts of His Mercy and it will be used on the Day of Judgment.”

So we were discussing the name of Allah subhana wa tada Ar Rahman and his name are Rahim and his name are Hamra Haman and Hira Haman and the right man and by deriving five different names from the same route, Allah subhana wa tada is emphasizing the concept of Rama and there is no question that the primary attribute of the entire Quran when it comes to Allah subhana wa tada is the attribute of Rama. There is no other noun or verb from which five names have been derived. And if you look at the quantity of times that Allah ascribes mercy to himself in the Quran, there is no other attribute that comes close over 500 different adjectives and verbs and nouns, all of which derive around Rama

And therefore it's not surprising that the most common attribute in the entire Quran is the attribute of Rama and the most number of names of Allah that deal with one verb and one noun is that dealing with the verb
and the noun of Rama. And in fact, Allah subhana wa Tada, as I said, mentions five of his names. And we'll go over these and because it's so important, we're going to have to spend two days on all of these names, because indeed, Rama avala is the primary attribute of a lot. The name of Rahman, the name of Rama is a unique name. There is no other name like it in the Quran, other than the name Allah itself, and the name of Allah, and then a man have a unique status that no other name shares, and that is that both of these names are considered to be the primary Name of Allah, typically the name of Allah and the name of Rahman, they occur by themselves. They don't have a second name
attached to them. Rarely they do, but typically it's by themselves. And as I said,
there's no other name that is standalone other than name Allah. So for example, AR Rahman Al Rahim Al Quran halaqaat insan. This is a standalone name, alright man, and a lot begins yet with Allah and he begins is with a man and there's no other name. That is that a chapter or a surah begins with and typically in verses of majesty, in verses of glory, Allah azza wa jal mentions the name of a man for example, when Allah mentions his most magnificent creation, the biggest creation of Allah, the most magnificent creation, and that is, by the way, the throne of Allah. The largest creation of a law is a laws throne, a laws out whenever Allah mentions his owlish. He always mentions the name of Rahman,
Ar Rahman, and analysis there were seven different times in the Quran, this phrase occurs seven exact same phrase, never does Allah say Allah and Allah says stowa, he always says R Rahman, r Sr. and he mentions the wisdom behind this. He says, when the arch or the throne of Allah is the largest creation, and we know this from many others, by the way, that the Prophet says, I mentioned that it is the heaviest of the creation, and it is the largest of the creation. I don't want to confuse you with morphology or sort of, but the Arabic language one of the beauties of the Arabic language is you can take a three letter verb, and you can transform it into many different if you like, nouns, and even adjectives and adverbs, depending on what you add what you subtract, where you put an ally for you put so for example, Sammy are to hear some ear and Samir they both mean the same, but there's a difference in the meaning semir the ones who hears everything sound, they're the one who can hear right now, a lot

Now this is a symbolic headache because Allah's mercy is infinite, and it cannot be divided. Allah's mercy is
infinite. But it just to give you an understanding, he divided his mercy into 100 parts, one of those parts he revealed to this world. And because of it, the entire creation has some bit of mercy. Because of it, people are merciful to others because of it. The process of them said the mother horse, for example, shows mercy to the foul to the baby horse. Because of it, the mother bird feeds the baby bird. And Allah has saved 99 parts of his mercy. And those 99 will be used only on the Day of Judgment. So imagine, from the beginning of time until the trumpet is blown, every act of mercy that any creature any bird, any animal, any human does to any other creature, any plant, you add all
of that mercy for all of the billions of years that creatures have been on this earth, and that comes to one bit of mercy and 99 times that Allah will use on one day, and that is the day of judgment, and that is why our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, lo allemaal calf ear, if the calf knew how much mercy Allah azza wa jal has, even the calf will be optimistic about entering gender. He is the hero he mean the best of all those who have mercy. He is the one who is the Lord Rama, the one who is always merciful, then how can we ever give up hope of Allah's mercy? How can we possibly give up hope of Allah's mercy? In fact, to give up hope of a loss Mercy is an insult to Allah.
To give up hope of Allah's mercy, is an insult to Allah of the highest magnitude. And this is not me speaking. This is the Hadith. Our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Listen to this hadith barakaatuh
