Reflections on the Prophet’s dhikr #3

Bismillah Alhamdulillah wa salatu salam ala Rasulillah the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam after his prayer, he would also say, La Isla in Allah waktu who lash rica now with mulk, whatever will Hamed, wahoo, or other cliche in Collier

we can translate this to mean that a lot meaning that there is no deity worthy of worship except for Allah whack that would actually occur that means alone without any sort of partner or associate level. And look, he has complete dominion, whatever hand and all praise is due to Him, well who are ally coalition Kadir and he is able to do absolutely anything he is completely omnipotent and completely able, when it comes to his his creative power and his ability to do.

And one of the wisdom, part of the wisdom behind remembering this after the prayer, it all comes back to Allah has complete control over the universe, and over everything that we encounter in our days.

When we spend our time out of the prayer, mostly what we're dealing with,

is a system of kind of cause and effect that Allah has created, because cause and effect is one of the laws that Allah has, has created or has put to govern the creation. If you want to get money, then you have to go out and you have to work. If you want to have friends, you have to go out and you have to meet with people and talk with them and things like this. Any sort of thing that you want, there is a cause that you can take to get there. And Allah is the Creator of all those causes.

Most of the time we spend outside of our prayer, we spend dealing with him dealing with this kind of matrix of cause and effect. And so if we spend too much time outside and not reflecting

on

the existence of our Creator, and the absolute control that our Creator has over everything,

it can kind of trick us into imagining that these causes are independent in and of themselves. And that these causes somehow

are the primary way to achieve what we want. And not just a secondary tool that Allah has created. So part of the wisdom behind saying this after we complete our prayer is remembering that everything is in the control and under the control and in the power and under the dominion of Allah. Things that are physical, such as physical wealth, and family and children. And also things that aren't physical but are also desired, such as pride, and honor, and station, and knowledge and skill. All these sorts of things.

You can imagine it like this, think about somebody who they're reluctant to come to the prayer. Because they see it as a loss. They see it as an opportunity cost every time that they're in prayer. They're not out doing business, they're not out making money, they're not out, doing whatever it is they think is the cause of what they want in the world.

Having to break that cycle and come back to the prayer five times a day. And then also on top of that having to say or it being recommended to say after we completed our prayer. This formula in which we remember allows absolute control over everything is a way to kind of break that cycle and bring our attention and awareness back to the fact that the prayer in and of itself is one of the means that Allah has created to achieve what we want. And the ultimate means of achieving what we want is seeking the pleasure of our Sustainer who has complete control and dominion over everything. That eco Allahu Tada Adam will hamdu lillah wa salatu salam ala Rasulillah
