Tom Facchine – Hadith Series – #53 – When Someone Sneezes

Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, If any one of you sneezes, and they should say Alhamdulillah All Praise be to Allah. And if you're around somebody else and they sneeze, and you hear them say, Alhamdulillah, then you should respond to them and say, your hammock Allah, may Allah forgive you or have mercy upon you.

And if somebody says your hammock Allah, then you should respond to them. Yeah, decom Allah will use the backhoe. May Allah guide you and rectify your affairs.

So we have this kind of nice formula of things to do when someone sneezes.

It's another excuse to make dua for each other. It's another excuse to practice our sincerity and our loyalty to one another as Muslims, to be constantly asking a law to guide each other and have mercy on each other and to take care of each other's affairs. This is something that we should all be in the habit of doing anyway. And one of the aspects of the wisdom of Allah having us do this when one sneezes is that it kind of programs that into our communal lives where we regularly have the opportunity to make dua for one another
