Hadith Series – #42 – Please Don’t Do This

Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that a person who cuts off their relationships with their family will not enter paradise.

This is a scary Hadith, or this is a Hadith that should scare us.

Somebody who is the cause

of the end of a relationship with someone in their family,

then that person is not going to enter paradise.

family relationships are extremely important. And there's a reason why they're not easy.

People sometimes don't reciprocate the type of care that you show to them. They don't reciprocate the type of affection or support that you show to them.

But there's a difference between someone who treats their family well, because they want

a similar site type of treatment, they want reciprocation. And somebody who's doing it for the sake of Allah, somebody who's treating their family well, just because it's the right thing to do, regardless of how people react.

So the Prophet Muhammad SAW I said, I'm told us here in a very, very direct way, that the person who is the cause of a relationship, a family relationship being cut to being severed, that that person is doing something so bad, that it will prevent them from entering paradise.
