We live in a world where people are
desperately trying to change their circumstances
with in every possible way. But sometimes, you
simply cannot do it. You're up against a
steep incline. You're trying to swim against the
current.
How about pausing for a moment
and embracing the decree of the Almighty?
He knows best and he has my interests
and if he has ordained this, surely there's
goodness in it for me. We all heard
the hadith of that woman who was unwell.
She suffered epileptic attacks. She came to the
messenger, sallallahu alayhi wasallam,
imploring him to pray for her recovery. He
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam offered her 2,
suggestions and 2 proposals.
If you want, sister, I will pray and
Allah will cure you. And if you want,
persevere,
endure
and Jannah is your abode.
She opted for the latter and she said,
I will persevere in the hope of paradise.
SubhanAllah.
She made peace with a condition and an
illness that was chronic.
Used to say,
Oh my Allah, I love you so dearly
that it has left me happy
and pleased and satisfied
with every situation
in which I find myself,
prosperity or otherwise, health or otherwise. And that's
my message. Maybe pause for a moment,
embrace the situation,
will bring peace and tranquility.
will bring peace and tranquility.
