When we want to tell

00:00:11 --> 00:00:12

00:00:17 --> 00:00:18

a loved

00:00:19 --> 00:00:20

one woman

00:00:28 --> 00:00:28

00:00:35 --> 00:00:37

you feel really lucky

00:01:02 --> 00:01:03

00:01:23 --> 00:01:24

00:01:25 --> 00:01:27

Jolie is the only one

00:01:33 --> 00:01:33

00:01:37 --> 00:01:38

00:01:40 --> 00:01:40

00:01:45 --> 00:02:06

and children, traditional biologists ahead of time let you know that I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm really happy to be back at this community, Michigan for about four years now. And I'm going to be grateful for the opportunity to see familiar faces again. And I pray that this visit of mine is accessible to Alaska, which brings good for myself and all of you.

00:02:07 --> 00:02:50

At the same time, these are also times of great tribulation for Muslims. And every few weeks, something happens that really darkens all of our hearts, and makes all of us upset. And this is one of those weeks, if you're keeping up with the news, you know what I'm talking about, you know, about the protests that are happening all over many parts of the Arab world, and probably in the Muslim world, by extension, in response to certain inflammatory productions, you know, very poor quality. And I want to start with, even though that is the topic of my talk today, from a US perspective, I want to start by saying that those videos, or that video in particular had not even 30 hits before

00:02:50 --> 00:02:52

the Muslims started paying attention.

00:02:53 --> 00:03:05

And so the fact that it's come to the attention that has come, we have become the best advertising agency for that ridiculous stupid film. We've done that nobody else, nobody was paying attention to that.

00:03:06 --> 00:03:56

And, you know, I want to, I want to talk today, I know there are many people sitting before me today, but today's profile is dedicated to my angry young Muslim brother, if you don't already know 62%, of the Muslim, that is alive, is 30 are under the age of 30. The vast majority of this movement is youth. And so I dedicated this particular call, but in this time of anger in reaction to my young Muslim Brothers, and that young brother of mine who feel that in the profit of the loss of a loved one is insulted that he was insulted and he should do something about that. And his blood boil is when the messenger alive he saw that it is spoken of in a way that deserves to be spoken of even the

00:03:56 --> 00:03:58

slightest insult to Our Messengers

00:03:59 --> 00:04:17

is enough, is enough to take all the happiness and joy out of your life and maybe forget all of it. Because our love for him is that intense people of other religions asked why are you Muslim so crazy when people make fun of Jesus on Fox TV, even though they claim to love Jesus and they also show

00:04:19 --> 00:04:21

when they made fun of Jesus on TV?

00:04:23 --> 00:04:26

He will make fun of Moses all the time. You don't go crazy.

00:04:31 --> 00:04:47

Muslims can say anything you don't you understand the concept of freedom of speech. Why don't you go crazy and our usual response and you might think this was gonna be my response to this is that you know, you don't know what love is. You don't know you think you love Jesus?

00:04:49 --> 00:04:59

York and that's why we go like crazy, but that is not my response to that is not my response today. My response to that my first response to that question is asking is

00:05:00 --> 00:05:01

How can I?

00:05:04 --> 00:05:05

How can I be

00:05:08 --> 00:05:10

the most messenger

00:05:22 --> 00:05:22

four times

00:05:24 --> 00:05:24

that is

00:05:26 --> 00:05:27

mentioned by

00:05:29 --> 00:05:32

70 plus times in the Quran

00:05:35 --> 00:05:40

a lot, a lot when Jesus is made fun of and he's made fun of a lot.

00:05:46 --> 00:05:59

So first of all, there's something even problematic about the way we emotionally respond to things that we find offensive. Already problematic. But you could say no, no, but I'm gonna give a special honor to

00:06:05 --> 00:06:07

a special honor but it is the same

00:06:10 --> 00:06:11

00:06:13 --> 00:06:15

Mussolini, Juliana

00:06:17 --> 00:06:18

is the one who said he's the one

00:06:20 --> 00:06:30

I want to start this conversation with his young son, brother of mine. This is a young Muslim, I want to start this conversation with one thing, the honor of our messenger,

00:06:32 --> 00:06:38

the nobility to respect the love of our messenger, the status of our messenger

00:06:40 --> 00:06:42

is not something we give him.

00:06:43 --> 00:06:55

It's not something that comes from human beings, it came from the sky. It came from Allah. Nobody can take it away. Because it comes from the sky.

00:06:56 --> 00:07:03

The iron is coming from the sky, people can burn copies of it, people can make fun of it, people can make

00:07:07 --> 00:07:07

it home.

00:07:09 --> 00:07:09

00:07:14 --> 00:07:18

these insults are messengers, our is

00:07:21 --> 00:07:22

our messenger.

00:07:26 --> 00:07:26

Listen, there's

00:07:27 --> 00:07:34

nothing he can be. And so this conversation, first of all, shouldn't be bothering you. If you shouldn't be

00:07:36 --> 00:07:38

you should feel sorry for them.

00:07:39 --> 00:07:43

You should feel sorry, I'm stupid. And on Saturday are they can hurt,

00:07:44 --> 00:07:45

they can't hurt.

00:07:47 --> 00:07:57

They can even be the only one they can hurt themselves. That's the only one they can hurt. But I want to go further into football and I ended individually.

00:08:04 --> 00:08:05

You're the defendant.

00:08:07 --> 00:08:07

You want to

00:08:09 --> 00:08:11

learn a few things about him first.

00:08:12 --> 00:08:14

Who was going to insult

00:08:16 --> 00:08:58

more than the people that were screaming at his face, the people that were cursing him out in front of him, the people that were calling him all kinds of things to his face every single day. And who is listening to those insults. It's not just the messenger of the loss of a loved party for them. It's one of his companions of the leaves. The messenger listening to the message will be insulted. And what's more, is that a long way to prepare you and the need for something that you should know that as much as we love and honor and respect our messengers get used to the fact that humanity can hate the messenger and that's so much have you managed to get insulted messenger and saying hurtful

00:08:58 --> 00:09:04

mean violent, disgusting things about their messengers, and so much so that we recite those insults with

00:09:05 --> 00:09:05

00:09:07 --> 00:09:07

00:09:09 --> 00:09:12

calls or insults against our messenger and other messengers.

00:09:14 --> 00:09:15

A lot of recordings that

00:09:17 --> 00:09:18

we recite that will be recycled.

00:09:20 --> 00:09:23

So we know this is not something new. How dare they?

00:09:25 --> 00:09:26

What do you mean?

00:09:28 --> 00:09:33

What do you mean? What are you reading? And what was the reaction?

00:09:34 --> 00:09:35

How did he respond?

00:09:37 --> 00:09:38

I'm reminded of a

00:09:39 --> 00:09:43

couple of different narrations, the promises alone, sitting next.

00:09:50 --> 00:09:51

00:09:53 --> 00:09:54

or twice.

00:09:58 --> 00:09:59

Once, twice, three times.

00:10:00 --> 00:10:04

Third time, he got up, he couldn't take it anymore. Cuz his

00:10:05 --> 00:10:10

family, the mother, sister, the daughter, you know, the people don't have to respect

00:10:12 --> 00:10:13

another guy.

00:10:18 --> 00:10:19

And he only got up on the stage with this guy.

00:10:22 --> 00:10:24

Maybe we should start this whole thing is coffee.

00:10:27 --> 00:10:30

So these are the profits in front of

00:10:31 --> 00:10:34

you and I love the messenger a lot, but we're not going to compare it to the level

00:10:40 --> 00:10:41

not take

00:10:47 --> 00:10:47

the moment

00:10:50 --> 00:10:51

and walk the other way.

00:10:56 --> 00:11:00

Or should I go up to my messenger. So he goes after the message

00:11:02 --> 00:11:03

and says I did something wrong.

00:11:06 --> 00:11:12

And a couple verses of this, so long as you were sitting, there were angels surrounding us

00:11:14 --> 00:11:17

shall be into weapons, and angels.

00:11:19 --> 00:11:20

That's what the public tells us.

00:11:21 --> 00:11:26

The proper training is, this is how you deal with when I insulted

00:11:29 --> 00:11:33

the patient, I'm reminded of the incident of fire.

00:11:34 --> 00:11:38

These people didn't just hurt the profits on the left margin to them with their words.

00:11:39 --> 00:11:48

In their words, he almost killed him. There's so many young hoodlums from the streets and are having a public follow.

00:11:50 --> 00:11:51

As he grows and the

00:11:54 --> 00:12:02

bleeding edge he is take his hand and grab the blood before it hits the ground because he knows if it hits the ground, Alexander will come

00:12:03 --> 00:12:06

to be a witness that they shed a messenger

00:12:08 --> 00:12:12

himself. He's worried about these people, he grabbed a blood from falling on the ground.

00:12:15 --> 00:12:21

And finally, when the offer is made, you guys learn this in Sunday school when the offer is made. He says no, maybe the children

00:12:22 --> 00:12:25

from their children and offspring somebody might say that.

00:12:26 --> 00:12:30

And you know, the factory is actually the passing of the profits. And

00:12:31 --> 00:12:40

when the owner was in turmoil, and there were some people supporting these people were not supporting the two tribes that held on to everything was

00:12:41 --> 00:12:44

the biggest support of holding Islam together in the time

00:12:46 --> 00:12:50

came one of the biggest supports fundamentally crucial in compiling

00:12:51 --> 00:12:53

the total profits.

00:12:55 --> 00:12:57

Because the Prophet says I shouldn't

00:12:58 --> 00:12:59

feel sorry for them.

00:13:01 --> 00:13:02

That's my heading into it.

00:13:03 --> 00:13:05

This is the attitude of mercy.

00:13:06 --> 00:13:08

This is the attitude of the brain.

00:13:12 --> 00:13:13

And you still ask

00:13:16 --> 00:13:16

me one

00:13:20 --> 00:13:23

I want to show you something else. While we're on this call

00:13:24 --> 00:13:25

the Prophet

00:13:27 --> 00:13:31

himself mentally prepared, you don't get angry, okay?

00:13:33 --> 00:13:36

over and over and over if you don't get any

00:13:42 --> 00:13:45

other messages Oh, by the institute's Okay, you're not the first one.

00:13:48 --> 00:13:52

In the beginning of this whole but be patient over whatever they're saying. What

00:13:54 --> 00:13:58

is very powerful Arabic the pitches over what ever?

00:14:04 --> 00:14:11

You say? It's more specific. So if if the I was talking about one particular thing that the profile said the

00:14:13 --> 00:14:13

00:14:17 --> 00:14:18

they come up with

00:14:19 --> 00:14:25

something today, they won't tell you something else tomorrow doesn't matter. You just be patient and you

00:14:26 --> 00:14:27

feel the

00:14:29 --> 00:14:39

presence and the future in it. So what we are seeing today and what we can come up with in the future, don't you worry about it. And these insults against the province

00:14:40 --> 00:14:43

are not just limited to him. We know that

00:14:46 --> 00:14:47

there is

00:14:48 --> 00:14:49

there's an accusation

00:14:54 --> 00:15:00

of accounts of the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam being attacked by anonymous things and even by

00:15:00 --> 00:15:01

00:15:02 --> 00:15:11

Allah is not becoming of a prophet to be worldly and to have greed and to one more acquisition, because the hypocrites, he goes into battle because he wants more.

00:15:14 --> 00:15:15

He wants more. That's why he wants

00:15:19 --> 00:15:19

the public.

00:15:27 --> 00:15:27

Most people

00:15:36 --> 00:15:36

flipping over

00:15:38 --> 00:15:38

the grass,

00:15:42 --> 00:15:42

the Jews,

00:15:44 --> 00:15:47

the Jews were the ones who survived. Let's kill them.

00:15:50 --> 00:15:54

You know, what is the Columbus? Where do we come?

00:15:59 --> 00:16:00

Do you really want to be?

00:16:03 --> 00:16:04

You really want to be?

00:16:10 --> 00:16:10

What do you?

00:16:12 --> 00:16:12

You don't?

00:16:13 --> 00:16:21

It's shocking to me. At the end of this, I want to make a clear distinction to all of us about anger itself. Because there are

00:16:27 --> 00:16:29

and I want to share a perspective.

00:16:31 --> 00:16:33

When a lot of messenger is insulted.

00:16:36 --> 00:16:40

Allah tells His Messenger, that's not an authentic issue.

00:16:55 --> 00:16:56

00:17:01 --> 00:17:02

00:17:04 --> 00:17:06

Messenger. Messenger.

00:17:07 --> 00:17:18

I have a right to be angry, not you. This is my this is insulting me. The anger herself. Anger is deserved by Allah. But then

00:17:19 --> 00:17:20

00:17:25 --> 00:17:25

initial model.

00:17:28 --> 00:17:32

Let's explore that a little bit, I'll just give you one small incident to give you an appreciation.

00:17:33 --> 00:17:55

We live in a country in the United States, we're surrounded by the Christian community. I mean, you're in the Midwest, not four blocks go by you run into a church, I live in Texas, we're pretty much mega churches are known. Right? It's hard to find us radio, it's easy to find Christian talk radio. That's, that's that's the reality of our time. So we're surrounded by Christians. And then you know, you read

00:17:57 --> 00:17:57

about people who say,

00:18:01 --> 00:18:02

for one example,

00:18:04 --> 00:18:07

when somebody says that our mind has taken

00:18:09 --> 00:18:12

easy to say, Oh, Jesus, God, you know,

00:18:13 --> 00:18:16

just easy things to come out of their mouth.

00:18:22 --> 00:18:25

Those little words, imagine, I want you to think about this.

00:18:26 --> 00:18:46

If there's a Christian on the outside of this building, right on this other side of this wall, and he says God is just saying get hungry, could you know, his voice cannot have approval. And I know, Allah says, every time this these words are other, the voice travels, the entire skies and the

00:18:48 --> 00:18:50

entire university.

00:18:51 --> 00:19:05

And it's about the material it can take. It's almost destroyed. That's how offended the entire creation of a lot is. When it's said that Allah has taken assignment.

00:19:06 --> 00:19:15

We don't use it. But in the entire scars are like that. That's how offensive all our times when somebody says God is taken.

00:19:17 --> 00:19:18

That's the anger.

00:19:20 --> 00:19:20

00:19:23 --> 00:19:24

00:19:25 --> 00:19:27

come to me with our messenger.

00:19:29 --> 00:19:37

They hear he's a messenger, he claims to be fulfilling the word of revelation that came before so they come to meet with me. And these are people that worship

00:19:38 --> 00:19:59

at a point where these discussions are happening. And you know what, back in the day, they did not have the Marriott or the Hilton, or the Holiday Inn where these questions going to stay. And these are Christian ministers. These are priests. These are representatives of their religion. These are people the ambassadors of the Christian faith. Where are they going to say

00:20:01 --> 00:20:01

00:20:03 --> 00:20:05

decides they will stay in

00:20:12 --> 00:20:13

the profits.

00:20:15 --> 00:20:18

They're gonna pray in the in the first University,

00:20:19 --> 00:20:25

the University that teaches Islam, they're gonna pray to inside

00:20:28 --> 00:20:49

the one place that now become the center of London at that point in Medina, for preaching your key a bunch of people are seeing inside, and they're calling on Jesus Lord, that makes a lot happier, angry, extremely angry, but who is supposed to be soft and courteous and understanding and not be upset and be generous? And you know, the

00:20:51 --> 00:20:52

alarm has a right to be angry.

00:20:54 --> 00:20:55

You and I don't

00:20:56 --> 00:20:58

have a master he owns human beings,

00:21:01 --> 00:21:02

other human beings?

00:21:05 --> 00:21:08

Is he worried about them?

00:21:14 --> 00:21:14

He says,

00:21:23 --> 00:21:23

He says,

00:21:25 --> 00:21:30

Don't Don't worry about them so much. That's what he tells us.

00:21:33 --> 00:21:33

What is

00:21:36 --> 00:21:41

reaction after reaction after reaction? And I argue and people say Why?

00:21:43 --> 00:21:47

Why do people get so worked up, and people give different kinds of VISA credit card

00:21:50 --> 00:22:02

drives us crazy. That's why you know, in Pakistan, and in you know, Libya and Egypt, we're gonna put some cars over, I'm going to turn this one guy. So we're gonna bring it down to the level of messenger.

00:22:04 --> 00:22:08

That's the level of the messenger. That's what we've come to.

00:22:12 --> 00:22:30

I know there are other social, economic political turmoil, these people aren't just protesting because of one issue, there's a lot more depth to this problem. But when you and I or any other Muslim, for that matter, start saying that this is part of Islam, then this is something that should This should make us

00:22:32 --> 00:22:34

say that the Muslims are frustrated,

00:22:36 --> 00:22:41

to have economic issues, social issues, political issues, social justice issues, don't bring this into

00:22:43 --> 00:22:45

my leaders freedom, this.

00:22:47 --> 00:22:50

It doesn't deserve this. It deserves to be honored.

00:22:52 --> 00:22:53

And so just

00:22:54 --> 00:22:56

want to share with you before I let you guys go

00:22:58 --> 00:23:01

for my young Muslim brother, once again, for my life.

00:23:03 --> 00:23:09

Our job in this world today is to be ambassadors of this thing

00:23:10 --> 00:23:14

is to let people know what is done is your neighbors, you

00:23:15 --> 00:23:21

know, there are people who live next door to the machine for 20 years, and they don't know what this

00:23:25 --> 00:23:28

is Muslims, they come and depart from Iran. And they go and

00:23:30 --> 00:23:32

we try to try to set a petition against them.

00:23:34 --> 00:23:35

That's probably how they park in Pakistan.

00:23:37 --> 00:23:38

And that's why we go crazy.

00:23:40 --> 00:23:44

We don't know what we know. One thing is these guys and Muslims, they

00:23:45 --> 00:23:46

come back.

00:23:51 --> 00:23:53

And you know, what's even more sad?

00:23:54 --> 00:24:03

To see that all over the world is watching this ridiculously stupid film are the same viewers that have never even read the entire book.

00:24:05 --> 00:24:06

They've never even read the book.

00:24:11 --> 00:24:11

You'll see.

00:24:14 --> 00:24:16

The real issue isn't that we love our messenger more.

00:24:18 --> 00:24:23

So the real issue is we don't have a fundamental education in our own.

00:24:25 --> 00:24:49

That's the real issue. We don't know that it makes a civil makes us makes us patient makes us not reactionary. It gives us control over our emotions. It doesn't let us run by our emotions. It doesn't turn us into the lab rats. It's not like you know these people, they want to make money. That's all of this to them. So they don't make something offensive about Muslims. Watch it go man. We're gonna go we're gonna go.

00:24:51 --> 00:24:51

We're gonna go

00:24:53 --> 00:24:59

because we know what the muscles are gonna do. They're like a bunch of lab rats. You can play with them a sled and poke them a little bit crazy.

00:25:00 --> 00:25:08

And we play right into it every time. And the only one that benefits from this are the people who started the offenses to begin with. They're the only ones to

00:25:10 --> 00:25:17

only one. And if there's anything that's hard, it's the effort of doubt. That's the only thing that's fun. Now

00:25:19 --> 00:25:22

I can talk to them a lot, I can talk to them about the messenger.

00:25:29 --> 00:25:30

I know you saw on CNN,

00:25:34 --> 00:25:35

or something,

00:25:36 --> 00:25:46

the conversations changed. And anymore, because I can talk about the stupidity of a young, immature Muslim, who's easily manipulated.

00:25:48 --> 00:25:59

We are irresponsible to educate our youth, and the youth across the online to become mature in your response, to hold their emotions. To respond to intellectual.

00:26:00 --> 00:26:15

To respond with this allows I was I took the most insulting things that were said about the processor and gave intellectual responses in Go for it. This is our religion. Two thirds have a conversation with people who don't even believe in

00:26:17 --> 00:26:17

00:26:19 --> 00:26:39

recycling to people who don't even believe and they were insulting, in fact, criticizing it. And there was a discussion happening without anybody trying to kill anybody else. And if anything, they tried to kill Muslims, and actually referred to that entire era of conversation between Muslims and Muslims, refers to that decade back.

00:26:42 --> 00:26:44

You remember when the policy was to

00:26:45 --> 00:26:53

hold your hand back, you remember those days when your instructions were don't mind just discuss, remember that.

00:26:54 --> 00:26:56

We have to remind ourselves

00:27:01 --> 00:27:47

we have to start stopping one thing. One thing here one thing here would be here to look at the whole look at the entire picture that is presented in this book. I've admitted that allows us if a proper education in his book, these things will not go away. His reaction to this ignorance will not go away. These challenges will not go away. Until we get a proper attention in a lot of code that not just affects our artists. It gives keys to our It doesn't just affect our lives. It gives peace to our hearts. We educate ourselves, our families and our entire oma the way it's supposed to limit the amount of darkness suffers from male allies. Those who can speak the word of truth courageously

00:27:47 --> 00:27:59

and be able to engage with each other in civil, respectful disagreement when the time comes, and the allies of those who truly represent the beauty of this team, to their neighbors and to the world around us.

00:28:01 --> 00:28:03

Again, when I finally went

Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan targets his entire discussion at that young angry Muslim brother of ours who feel that when the Prophet ﷺ is insulted, then he is insulted, and he should do something about that, and his blood boils when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is spoken of in a way that did not deserve to be spoken of. Even the slightest insult to our Messenger ﷺ is enough to take all the happiness and joy out of his life and makes him forget all of it because his love for him is that intense.

We need to understand that there is something problematic about the way we emotionally respond. Allah says in the Qur’an – “Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! And Peace on the messengers! (Surah As Saffat :180-181). Allah is the one who said peace upon All of the Messengers.

Thus, the honor of our Messenger ﷺ, the nobility, the respect, the love of our Messenger ﷺ and the status of our Messenger ﷺ is not something we give him. It is not something that comes from human beings. It came from Allah.  Nobody on the earth can take it away. The Quran has come from Allah. People can burn copies of it, people can make fun of it, people can make pieces of it; it will not insult the Quran; because the Quran is in Laohe Mahfudh. It can not be insulted. It is above these insults. Our Messenger’s ﷺ honor is above them.

Our job in this world today is to just be ambassadors of this Deen and let people know what Islam is. The real issue isn’t that we love our Messenger ﷺ more.  The real issue is we don’t have a fundamental education in our own Deen. We don’t know that our Deen makes us civil, makes us decent, makes us patient, makes us not reactionary, it gives us control over our emotions.

Hence, the need of the hour for that angry Muslim brother of ours is to educate himself, his family and also the entire Ummah in a befitting manner. We should be able to lift the Ummah from the darkness that it suffers from. We should speak the word of truth courageously and be able to engage with each other in civil, respectful disagreement when the time comes.
