I don't think I have to explain to you exactly what this topic is. Just think about the the topic itself, the title, what the world looks like, in your eyes today, what you're hearing on the news, or what you're seeing with your own eyes. I just been told that this morning, there was a 6.0 earthquake that happened in Los Angeles,

things are changing. The weather is changing. There's more catastrophes, and there's more natural disasters happening all over the world. I can tell you for at least for us, in Toronto, and Canada, we have been having some of the worst winters that we've ever had in our history. And then at the same time, we're having some of the worst summers we've ever had in our history. It's just going into all different extremes. And then you look around the world, they have the same problem and the same dilemma, tornadoes, earthquakes, mudslides, planes falling out from the sky, all of these different things are taking place. Then you if you go aside and you look at governance and politics,

everything is going in a completely different direction. That's the world today. And I don't even have to mention to you within the Muslim culture, all of the problems that are happening and occurring and are being introduced within our own Muslim communities. So the question really, that I want to address today

is where do you and I stand when all of this is happening around you? There is one verse in Porter en sorta that Hajj, Allah azza wa jal sets the tone of how you look at things that happen in the world. one verse, Allah sets the tone. People feel alone in this world, when they forget that Allah azza wa jal is with

them, you feel helpless, and you feel that there is nothing in this world that could solve your problems when you don't have a lot, so a gel in your life. So Allah azza wa jal, the central message of Quran is always to keep coming back to Allah. Why? Because there's something greater waiting for you. In the meantime, keep your eyes open, keep your hearts thinking. So I want to address some of the problems that we have, that I think pertain to an individual as well as a family and community level. And I also want to talk about why these issues are happening. And what you can do in sha Allah tala to at least accept them or embrace them the best way that we can. I want to start off and

speak to all the young kids that are here, all the youth that are here sitting today, I have a special message just for you and you alone. And the point that I want to focus is to really talk about your identity as a Muslim. You know, the youth today. It's very difficult for them to feel proud of being Muslim. You'll find like kids today, we have this in North America all the time. I'm sure you guys have the same thing. You'll have some kids, Muslim kids that are probably walking on the street, and they have friends that will have like tattoos or pierced earrings or whatever. They'll have like 45 earrings, and the youth will say your Muslim kid will say, Man, if I wasn't

Muslim, I probably do the same thing. But unfortunately, I end up being Muslim today. It's almost your feeling that you're giving yourself this kind of guilt trip because Allah saved you from something. I would be listening to this guy I'd be listening to this song, but I'm Muslim, so I can't really do anything about it.

I'm sure you've probably witnessed this, that when you're sitting with somebody who's dying, don't use notice that there's a point where they freeze and they stare in one direction. You know what they're seeing. They're seeing something that you can't see. They're seeing a bunch of angels coming to them. This has something that you're gonna have to think about. And you're gonna have to try to discover in your life. So children, this is my message to you. It's time for you to be proud of who you are. And notice the realities of what's happening to people who are not you who are not believers, people who are falling into all of these problems and depressions and things like that in their life. They're going through all of this identity crisis in their life. They don't know who they are. They don't know where they're going. They don't have any

vision and goal in their life. It starts off by just being proud and saying, Uh hum de la la made me Muslim. We ask Allah azza wa jal to put that pride and

Love of our identity in our hearts and especially in the hearts of our children say I mean, law whom I mean, next. My next message in sha Allah

is actually a story.

And then I'm going to conclude this part of the discussion for the kids.

If you look at kids today, at 13, and 14 years old, what do they usually do? pretty much nothing. There's very few children that are very active, and thinking maturely about life at that year, in those years of their of their life. But we know in our Islamic history, it's actually quite the contrary. Kids at that age, they became leaders of the oma, how many of you just raise your hands? So here he is. He takes the message and he starts walking. And it was a real windy day.

The breeze was blowing really, really hard. And he walked by a house back then the homes didn't have doors, they had curtains. So in on a windy day, the curtain would blow open. So as he's walking by just instinctively he sees a curtain by a door. And he kind of turns this way. And guess what he saw. He saw a woman inside that home and she was bathing herself.

As soon as he looked, he turned away immediately. And he started crying and he ran away. He actually ran outside of Medina. He ran outside of Medina and he left. You know why? Listen to the what the 13 year old kid is thinking now. He said, Oh my goodness.

I just saw this woman.

And Allah now is going to put me in the hellfire. That's what he's thinking. So Pam, what a 13 year old kids think when this stuff happens to them. So he's thinking, Oh, my God, Allah is gonna probably send down a verse against me. So I'm going to run away. I don't want to confront the prophets. I send him about this. He runs away.

Eventually, when the promises send them is leading the companions in prayer.

After a couple days, he notices tharla isn't around anymore. And he looks around to the companions. And he turns around to all of them like all of you here. And he says, where's Baba?

Where is he? I haven't seen him. Imagine this is the leader of the oma. He's concerned about one child, all the companions and all of their problems and issues. He's concerned about this one kid, where is he? What is the well being of this child? So everybody's saying we don't know how it was so low. We haven't seen him in a while. This little boy comes down, and he's crying and crying like crying. And guess who it is. It's third

So he promises them says it's okay. Just come. Salah comes quietly and he lays down on the prophets I send them it's like a father son moment now.

My message to you is very simple.

Always know And remember, that in this world today, and the world that it was years ago, since the time of the time of Adam alayhis salam, and the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, always remember one thing. Islam would have never completed itself without you.

The movement and the knowledge of Islam would have never been completed without women. Let me give you just one example. There was a great scholar in the fifth century his name was Mmm hmm. Abdullah and nicer Bori Rahim Allah. This scholar was a profound scholar of Headey, he authored a collection of books called mustard rock, Allah Sahih hain. And this book here is a collection of authentic hadith that is not found in Bukhari and Muslim. So he wanted to show that not all the authentic caddies are restricted to just those two books. And he brought other authentic hadith as well. So he was a profound scholars, the people at his time, they said there was nobody in the Muslim Ummah that

had more knowledge about Hadees than this man.

You know what he said?

He said, that one quarter of the Hadeeth that he narrates, he got it from women. Which means that a quarter of the Shetty era is made up of just you alone, and three quarters of the year, is a mixture of both of us. This knowledge, and this religion could have never been completed without you. The reason why I'm saying this is sisters in 2014. We don't just need another male scholar at hamdulillah. We'll take them as we get them. But we want more female leadership, we want more female scholars, we want you to take back the position that you had as leading scholars of Islam, we want you to have those positions again. So my advice to all of you is to take advantage of your time.

Brothers, support your women, change our attitude towards the sisters towards our wives, and give them that opportunity to want to learn to want to excel the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam remember he told us Don't ever stop them from going to msgid don't ever stop them from wanting to learn. If they want to come to a conference, you give them that right because that is a hack Allah gave them sisters. You guys are not just mothers. You guys are not just daughters. You guys are not just wives. You guys are leaders of this omit that help complete the whole religion of Islam. Stop trivializing yourself and thinking that you don't have a place in this religion man

She's already in love with her child, she starts

you know, she's one week pregnant. I'm gonna save up for college and and look after you and you know, make lots of doubles for you. And Shall I know, you're gonna do all of those wonderful things. But us guys, you know what happens to us after the baby is born? Three weeks later, you're talking to each other like, Hey, I can't believe I'm a father, you know. So Angela, she fell in love with that child. Since she hurts. She was pregnant. We had to been taught how to do that. So every single individual has their own right and has their own place. Brothers and sisters, this is especially for us brothers. But I'm going to leave you with one final message that I think in sha Allah hooter

Allah would really summarize the point that I'm trying to make here today.

The world is changing brothers and sisters. life as we know it. The parents here, you know how life was 20 years ago how Islam was 20 years ago, the fitna, the lifestyle has completely changed from back then to today. some of your questions yesterday, when we did the q&a. some of your questions was over the years, the fitness keeps increasing more and more Carnival whatever is getting worse and worse for us is becoming more and more difficult for us to deal with things are changing.
