So we want to try to address this issue in sha Allah And keep in mind a number of different points. Let's start off with music. Music, according to the majority of scholars is hot on and the reason why it's become hot is primarily because of the instruments that are used in music. Aside from the profanity and the language. I think that's obvious why that becomes impermissible. But if just something as simple as instrumental music, a piano or guitar, why does that still become held on for a number of reasons,

brothers and sisters, the first of which, think about these instruments. If you hear them once or twice, it's really difficult to get it out of your mind. It finds a place in your heart and it remains there for a very long time. This is why after five and six or 10 years of your life, you would have probably heard a song 10 years ago and still remember the exact same tone and melody of that song. You may forget the words but the melody is still there. This is why scholars say music becomes hot on it finds a place in your heart. And then guess what happens there's no room for the remembrance of Allah azza wa jal there's no room for color and to be there. You can't have poor and

and you can't have music in the same heart all the time. It's just simply impossible. The second point is think about if the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was here, his music something he would really be proud of he would really accept from his own or from his people. It's extremely difficult to understand, brothers and sisters and the reason why. Remember the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would cry day and night just listening to the book of Allah azza wa jal imagine now you replace a little bit of that with a guitar with a piano with a saxophone whatever other instrument, how is this going to play out in front of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So

it's really important to understand his level to understand what he's taught the companions and understand where we are today. So it's really important to understand what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has taught us and what he would have done if he was here, and he was listening to the exact same thing, pour and was the true contentment of his heart. And it should be the true contentment of our heart. The next time you find an urge, or you feel the need to listen to a song or listen to any kind of music, turn on the poor and and see how it feels. And if you don't get the same satisfaction from the poorer end, it means that there's a bankruptcy happening in your heart

with your faith in Allah azza wa jal or, and should never be something that's painful, it should never be something that's difficult to listen to, it should be the easiest thing that comes to you, it should be the easiest thing to listen to. The next point that you want to keep in mind with music is the immense amount of distraction that it causes, not only with your relationship with allies, but your relationship with people in general, because of the profanity because of those melodious voices. It's very difficult for people who are heavily involved in music, to really concentrate on anything they want to do in their life, to focus on the most important things, it's really

difficult. I'm not saying it's impossible, it just becomes a huge distraction for them. For example, you find yourself sitting with your spouse, and you want to discuss a particular issue. And then all of a sudden, a song comes into your mind. And you remember, wait a minute, that song is talking about the same issue here with my husband or with my wife. So you start to use the song to dictate how the outcome of that issue is going to be. If you want to create this romantic moment with you and your spouse, that's important. But you don't want to do that at the cost of listening to a song and let the song dictate how that should be. So it puts us in this superficial world where we think

this is the way things should be when in reality, it really isn't. So this is how it becomes a huge distraction for us. The third and last point that I want to leave you with to think about with music, we've touched on it very briefly in the first point, you want to have poor end in your life, you are a Muslim, you want to memorize the core and you want to study it, you want to understand it. You want to feel that when you stand in prayer that your tears start to flow for the sake of Allah. So agenda, how are you going to do that, if there isn't any room in your heart for the poor end? So the reality is, is that you need to take that music and somehow eliminate it and slowly sift it out

of your heart so that there's room for the vicar and remembrance of Allah to sit there and to remain. The only way that can happen brothers and sisters is you need to eliminate music out of your life. One last point I want to leave you with to think about is if you're trying to eliminate

make music in this world or in this country or wherever it is that you live. Understand one reality music is not going anywhere. You are going to have to learn how to live with music in your life, you're going to have to learn to accept its existence. Its reality is there in the grocery store at the dentist and the elevator up the escalator wherever you go. There's going to be a song playing. You're just going to have to learn as a believer how to live with this reality or this fitna. But remember, you have all the tools to deal with it. You have all the tools and you're equipped in every possible way to deal with this issue. distractions things that steered us from the remembrance

of Allah is not something new in our oma it started from since day one of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So this is why music has become forbidden. This is why music has become hot on Oppo according to majority of scholars, and this is why you should make music hard on for yourself. Going to the second point which is nasheet. This has been also a pretty important topic many shoe many scholars have discussed many of them have made new sheets as well how to them simply because eliminate all of that and just stick to hold on. If it's anything related to actual Islam itself, or Islamic topics, then this is good in short, alone, it actually might be helpful, leading you towards the remembrance of the poor and why because it's already begun with a topic of the hora or with an Islamic topic. So it could be sort of a segue towards leading you to the ultimate goal, which is you

have a complete relationship with the book of Allah azza wa jal. So what we want to say to all of you in sha Allah is to when you look for it in a sheet, look for an issue that number one does not have musical instrument instruments. It does have instruments it should only be the Duff. The Duff, by the way, is not just any drum. There are several styles of the Duff, there's a Duff that sits on the ground. There's another type of Duff that sits within the arms. And this stuff is made with a particular material, which is camel skin, it shouldn't be made with other animals or other types of materials. Scholars have different whether those types of materials were permissible or not. And the

reason why the camel skin is so important is because it lets off a particular sound. Having said that, that's it just the Duff alone and that's it, no other instruments are allowed. This is extremely important to help you stay focused, that even though at the end of the day, you're listening to an issue, you're listening to something about the core end or something about the sun at the end of the day, you don't want it to be a distraction or a barrier between you and the poor. And that's your goal. And that's the final point that I leave you with brothers and sisters. Your goal at the end of the day is you want to come to the poor end and you want to stay there you don't

want to just have a relationship on Juma day on Ramadan with the poor and you want a permanent relationship every single time you're standing in Sala every single time you're listening to it in your car, you feel the core and and that relationship of just listening to it is there.
