alameen wa salatu salam ala Saleem
mello roos sisters, Lila we are on our session of living Islam. And as I always want myself and you, Islam is the name of a practice it is not the name of just a theory. And the benefit and beauty of Islam is in its practice, the more we practice it,
the more we will be able to benefit from it. And that is why we had to have these sessions to remind ourselves that we need to practice Islam.
Today I want to talk to you about telling the story of one of the great outweighed the 13 are the successors of the Sahaba Salah
These are the people the generation that came after the generation of the Sahaba after the generation of the companions
the Davina people who
stayed in the company of the Sahaba will learn from the Sahaba. So this is a very great generation of lead that generation produced some very great Allah very great scholars Villa with Mubarak to lolly, lolly,
all of these people would have word value.
So if you haven't sorry.
And among them was a person by the name of ultimate Awesome.
Awesome. Now, how to my daughter was a great Avi and he was also known many of these people they had
special qualities that they were known for, as well. So he was known for his talk
on the on his level of faith and belief in a lot of them.
So that's a quality of
life later.
There is a beautiful story about that, where he was asked Mohammed Abbey Moran
It was also a very
heated, he said that he heard someone asking how Assam Rahmatullah Lee, how he reached this level of taqwa how we need to level up relying on our love.
And so have developed some displays. To think about my idea of seeing all this is not only for, for us display story.
But for us to think about it in our own context and say that when I'm hearing the story of
how does it apply to me? So if either one of them said something about himself, this is what I do that I need to look at myself and say, do I do that?
Because he was a man,
just like you, me, he lived in the world with all its, you know, issues, positive, negative, and so on and so forth.
Yes, yet he was able to build a relationship with the last man that
he was able to build a connection with Allah, he had his
data, to the extent where today, almost maybe 1200 years later or 1300 years later, we take his name with honor. And with great respect, we don't simply say happy with
Allah we send we send, you know,
we send We ask Allah to have mercy on him. So, this is something which is very important for us to keep in mind and say, what is it that what are the qualities of these people? The whole point of this of this leaving Islam session is that is for us to try to imbibe and inculcate such qualities in ourselves. I want you to look at these qualities from two aspects. One is how these qualities helped those people to connect with Allah subhanho wa Taala to have the relationship with Allah.
Allah subhana wa Taala and therefore inshallah to get the levels in the Acura which inshallah Allah will give them. The second thing I want you also to think about and I find myself is to look at it from a worldly today's perspective.
So for example, if I have tawakkol on Allah, right, how does it help me today?
The ACA Yes, I agree. What I'm saying
that will happen right now, as I'm sitting here as you are sitting here you with your life
There are things you need things you want things you are afraid about things you are fearful for things you are hopeful for. Right? All of us have different things.
There may be conditions relating to you personally. There may be conditions relating to you because of circumstances. They're really conditions relating to you because of the country that you live in. And whatever is happening in that country, there will be conditions relating to you with regard to your business and your employment and many things into receivables, Apple Health,
right? Given all that, how does tawakkol Allah? How does complete and total reliance on data How does it help me now as I am sitting here?
Now, intellectually,
cognitively, if I asked you or you asked me, both of us are Muslim?
Is tobacco a good thing? For you? Who will say no?
Nobody? If you ask me is a good thing. Of course. Do you think you should have alcohol? Of course?
I'm not talking about that. I am talking about really inside here.
Really?
What is
the meaning of having complete and total reliance and faith on Allah subhanaw taala load?
So this person, Mohammed even
generates that you heard a man asking how to Allah subhanaw taala? How did you reach this level of talk?
How did you read this?
Now, how do
I do that? He said, four things.
He said, I became convinced about four things, and these four things, when he treated my heart.
And what are the four things I'm going to tell you, I'm going to say these four things to you one by one, I want you to think about reflect on each one of them. The first thing is that is, I became convinced and I am convinced that no one else will eat the provision that Allah has decreed for me. So I am content.
Now, you all know this, I know I know this, this is not something new. My question to myself and to you is, please reflect on it and see what is my level of appeal, what is my level of complete faith and belief in this in my heart,
because the the the sign of faith is action, it has to be visible in something.
So if I have complete and total pain in this one thing,
that what Allah has returned for me, nobody else can eat.
Now, this does not relate only to food even though it is expressed in that way. It relates to everything.
Nobody can eat my food, nobody can take my salary, nobody can take the house which Allah has given me. If I want to marry somebody, nobody else can marry that person because if that is what Allah has written, for me, that's going to happen.
Right, if children, if I fall as decreed for my children inshallah, I will have children if Allah is not decreed, I cannot have children, so nobody else can take what has been written for me. So he says, Now see the see the way he says it, he says, Therefore I am content. So he is talking about a belief. And he is talking about the effect of that belief.
He say, My belief is that nobody can take what Allah has written for me. And the effect of the belief is what? I am free from stress.
I have no anxiety. I have no stress.
I'm not worried about anything.
Why am I not? Why am I not worried about anything because I know what Allah has for me, can't go anywhere.
It is my
first thing. So let us reflect on this and say, Where am I in this because Allah has not returned only for happiness Allah.
Allah wrote for me.
And just as what he said is true for him. It is also true for you it is also true for me.
What Allah has written for me, nobody can take what Allah has for you, nobody can take.
So if I really and truly believe that, then what is my heart? Do I have anxiety? Am I worried about tomorrow?
This is the meaning of living.
Angela Wickham, my, I speak to you for a few minutes you also listen to me. Well, I bless you, but going out from here
This effort of ours yours and mine together will bear fruit and this effort will be worthwhile.
If we reflect on this
in the days of war when we went to Russia and we sat with our shoe, they will not do a one hour lecture.
The jet will talk for five minutes
for example, something like this.
I'm going to tell you the whole thing today what the where I used to go nobody told me this in one day.
One single thing
you understood the meaning of taco now that Allah has written for you and nobody else can take, did you understand that? Yes or no go to
finish end of end of lecture and five minutes or
now go sit down, reflect on it think on it. Look in your life look in your art, what is the side do you have?
If you don't have to still if you still have stress and so on, start drilling
down into you go into craving for Allah subhanaw taala connect with Allah subhanho wa Taala
then you come back the next day
and the chair will ask you So what happened?
What should you add now?
Then you know it. So this is what is happening is what I was thinking.
This is how terrible was that? This is today we have taken everything and you know Abdullah whatever we are doing Allah bless this or Malik put Baraka in this I'm not criticizing that. What I am saying that what we are trying to do
is that we are trying to imagine that you can condense something and shorten something and still get the same benefit without making the effort.
It takes time you know you if you have eggs and you want to hatch these eggs, you put them under a chicken
it takes 21 days
I used to have to know what a poultry farmer says but as chicken So feel free free lunch Eagles 21 days
this morning was no no this to law I mean I can't wait to 21 days. Why do I need it I don't need a chicken in America high tech guy but our they take they put it in the oven jacket
I will get a chicken I get a cheeseburger and 31 minutes
the egg the egg will cook
it and eat the egg and cook it
there is what is called in psychology we call it organic time.
There is a certain amount of time that is required for something to be processed internally and to become part of yourself this time that is the whole issue of the fog quote.
Allah subhanaw taala this question about the Quran, Allah.
Allah Allah, Allah.
Allah did not say How can I not say don't they read the Varanasi Do they not reflect on
the dub book on the Kitab upon
just reading it,
you have to read I mean without reading, how will you do otherwise, but the point is that just reading it by itself is even with the novel is not sufficient.
Today we are focused on building under the rock we are focused on reading correctly, nothing wrong, but it ends there.
So if I resize an IRA with perfect
then what
the effect of it has to be then.
So this is the issue of your feet. So now
first thing that has them unhappy well as a counselor is I am convinced that no one else will eat the provision risk that Allah has written for me. So I am contempt. I'm not worried.
Second thing, he said, I am convinced that nobody else is going to do the Hashanah, the Woodworks, the four eyes, which Allah has written for me.
Nobody can do it for me. Nobody can do the good works that I am supposed to do on my behalf. Nobody can do it for me. So I am busy doing them myself.
For example, salado Asia which Allah made for one me who can Who else can pray it. Can I outsource this to somebody and say my brother I was pleased with your preparation for me. Is it possible? No.
My Salah I have to pray My god, I have to pay my head I have to do
my song I have to bust.
I can outsource it. I'm not talking about the issue of if you are sick and so on I'm not saying I'm saying given that it is forgone you your good works you have to do.
So, as well as our Abdullah says, I am convinced that
no one else will eat the provision which Allah has made for me and I am convinced that no one else is going to do the good for me on my behalf. So, I do that once again, his belief is no one else can do by good works for me, what is the action? So, I am doing good works. So, I am busy doing my own good works is a belief and there is a effect of that belief. Third thing is that I am convinced and I am certain that death will come unexpectedly
definitely come suddenly.
So, I am busy
keeping myself busy in expecting it in preparing for it.
In other places where I see
that molecule mouth is calling people
said I see that molecule mug is the Angel of Death is calling people. So I am preparing for preparing myself for the time when he will call me
how many people
do we in the last one year how many people
we used to go and pray here with us how many of them have passed away.
When I think back in on my budget another one. Literally in my in my mind's eye I can see the places where those people used to come and pray Mashallah good muscle is very regular. I can see where they used to play somebody else in that seat
in that place.
In the last I've been here from the end of September, so we are now closing to the set from third week of September and the third week of January. So October, November, December that we've done in the last three to four months, six of my very close friends passed away, six of them.
Two of them very suddenly, others were somebody was ailing and so on, or six of them.
These are not reminders.
These are all reminders.
So he said I am certain death will come unexpectedly. So I'm busy I keep myself busy expecting it and preparing for it I
believe his death will come unexpectedly. What is the sign of that and preparing for it?
And the last one he said, I am certain that I cannot escape the sight of Allah.
I cannot hide from Allah.
I'm certain and I cannot hide from Allah subhanho wa Taala so I am shy to disobey him while he is watching.
Once again the belief what is the belief that Allah subhanho wa Taala He is the one who sees He is the one who hears
and constantly does not then there's some time when Allah is not watching or some no
law will say no to Allah No.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala That's a relief.
Action. So I am shy of disobeying I must matter
anytime there is a desire with some Shahada, some you know inclination towards
sin immediately I remember Allah subhanaw taala is watching How can I commit a sin when my Rob is watching?
So for beliefs and for action associated with them, what are the first one
risk what Allah has written for me nobody else can eat therefore the action is what the effect is what I am content hamdulillah no stress.
Second one is what
is the what? Exactly?
I am convinced that no one else can do my good works for me. So what is the action? I am busy doing my own good works.
Number three death I'm certain death will come
And it will come unexpectedly there is no announcement before it comes. So, what am I doing at the action what am preparing for it? And the fourth one is,
Allah is watching,
I know this is my village is also all our belief Allah subhanaw taala is watching effect of it is what? I am shy, I fear and I do not commit sin, I am shy to commit anything wrong, because I know Allah Subhana valets
thing to do is for us to
reflect on this, contemplate on this and look at our own lives and say, Where do I stand with respect to this thing?
What about me, Well, as I said, at the time was a man just like when he had the same issues like us, he had a family here this year that
how is it that he was able to live a life like this, which is a icon and a beacon of guidance for us centuries later, not one of 13 1300 years.
However, some said,
I have noticed
that everyone has a house
and they love to decorate their houses their homes,
everyone has his own home and this person loves to decorate the house. And if you think about it, you know, if you go to some people's places
you can see the degree to which how much effort has gone into it, how much expense has gone into it
the right carpet, the right color of the carpet, it must match this and then the carpet and the blinds cannot be some other color the drapes have to be the same you know, matching thing and then if I have so far and so on the upholstery and all of that should match and then what are the curios and the artifacts? What are people do when people do all kinds of things for the house? So how do you know I know and I see that people, everyone has a house and they are busy decorating their homes.
He said I also have a house.
He says My house is my color.
So I try to do whatever I can do to decorate that house.
My house
my grave.
So I try to do whatever I can do to decorate that house.
My point is to let us think about this.
Allah subhanho wa Taala made
good deeds easy.
And Allah made evil deeds difficult by nature.
To do good is easy to do good is free. And for good deeds, Allah subhanaw taala gives multiple rewards.
Right? For example, what does it cost us to come and pray in the masjid?
Whatever gas we bought, I mean from wherever we are, whatever the cost of you, that's another otherwise there is no you don't have to pay a fee to come into the masjid. There is no I mean there is a membership of the society but that has nothing to do with coming to the budget. That is people want to remember but join us and I'm not interested in being a member of society. I'm not interested in voting. But can I attend every thing that happens in the budget answer is yes.
Yes, absolutely no problem. Every single thing which happens is the most it is open to anyone who wants to come
this class is happening what did you pay for this class? Nothing.
It is free. And then what happens if I come and pray Salah in the masjid
you all given bread syrup Alicia and Ahmed. So what are two things number one number one is you get 27 times the reward of praying the same Salah if you are prayed at home so that is the first thing you came and prayed in the budget and that applies to all the Salah you came and prayed in the masjid you get 27 times the reward for free. Second thing specific to Salah kinesia you also get the reward of praying half the night.
Doing now we are living in in the in this country where in the winter where the right fall is early. So you know have the right means lots of hours right? And then you come back and praise Allah even further also the masjid 27 times the reward of praise our advisor. Plus you weren't the reward for praying the other half of the night. So if you just pray these tools are out in the masjid Santa Teresa and salado further by Gemma in the masjid
You got 27 times the reward for praying these tools are lower. Plus you got reward for standing in worship the whole night. Now imagine supposing you are this absolutely you know wujiang person and you said, Oh no, I'm going to pray the whole night.
You would pray the whole night, how many nights one night tonight after the one level
but just these two things, celebrations or whether you got the reward for praying the whole night and if you do this your whole life you've got the reward for praying a whole night every night of your life as long as you live NIH budget, when we stand before Allah subhanaw taala the day of judgment
and the book of deeds open May Allah make this true for all of you. The Book of deed is open and then you say
this man
he prayed 50 years every single night
This is our Brother Mohammed here, Salah D your pond is 60 years Salah they will look at disease I never produced yours I mean this Yama Nothing is wrong with this account
60 years every night I didn't I know I didn't pray 60 years every night
maybe I didn't even pray one night how many of us have prayed the whole night?
Except when we are in Africa or something in our in our other than that? Who brings the whole night
people who did
but you're gonna open your account book of accounts you got 60 or 70 or 50 years. Every single night you prayed Allah is giving you the reward for this
is this this is what you pretzel athleisure and you create a certain budget all Knights account has been whole night reward has been for you. How easy is it to please them think about it
at the same time if somebody says
Springfield this side of the river you have the machine that side of the river you have MGM so I'm going to go to MGM
Can you walk into MDF
you can walk in but you can walk up because nothing's gonna happen you want to walk in there and you want to play the slot machines or I don't do that roulette tables and stuff
so you got you got the roulette table guy but I bet he says other people are going to say this sitting here talking all about the insides of a gambling den How
are you
today now that now you know I go Okay, so the point is now everything costs money. So you want to go and commit sin
is not cheap.
It's expensive.
But see the mercy of Allah see the mercy or even something like this
May Allah protect us from this maybe never do anything like But supposing For example, one day you went
and you did whatever it is you spend some money what then you come back out and you realize it's just one thing I did
you cry before on earth that I use a lot Please forgive me. Yeah, this is I did. I don't know what happened to ah, I thought to go to cover my mind. I did something which is very wrong. I'm extremely sorry, I apologize. You're allowed me Please forgive me. Now what happens?
Unless and I know that I said not only will ALLAH forgive you.
Allah will convert your sins into good deeds, the eyes of
Allah subhanaw taala said he will convert the sins into good deeds. Don't go and do all that and make Toba and then expect it to convert and stay away from it. But I'm just saying that this is Allah subhana wa adji.
If you come into the world in one heavies, which I think I narrated the other day, the sorcerer Salam said Allah subhanho wa Taala has decreed and delegated to balaka to angels on either shoulder to write our good deeds that evil deeds. And then Allah subhanaw taala decreed for them that if a person does one good deed if a person makes the intention,
the intention to do a good deed.
Allah subhanaw taala decreed that one good deed is written into the account of the individual.
He has not done it yet he just he only made an intention. Allah decreed that one good deed is written into his account. Then when he does the good deed,
he gets a reward from 10 times to 700 times to without count, without reckoning without account as much as Allah Subhana Allah wants to be
if a person does
One is a person intends to do a evil deed.
You making this intention, it's a bad thing to do. But I'm just saying, suppose you want to know, when I walk out from here, I'm going to tell the story about disperse,
which is backed by the river hora. But maybe I make this intention is to I don't know I watched somebody. So when I'm going out
to when the person makes the intention to do a evil deed, nothing happens.
Then when the person does the evil deed, the Malaika want to write it down. Allah subhanaw taala says no which
don't
let the whole day pass. Maybe he will make our maybe he will make us this one, maybe he will repent.
At the end of the day, the person has not repented, he has done the will do not repented.
The person one deed is not 10 seven, only one, what do you do?
Then if the person repents, not only is that deed wiped out, even the memory of the Malaika is wiped clean, they don't even remember it's not in the book of deeds. And unlike convert that into a good deed,
the person made the intention of doing a bad deed, supposing he had bad intention, I'm going to go out and talk about this person. But now in the course of the lecture and so forth, or whatever it is, he gets his stuff, you know, this is bad, I should not do it. He changed his intention, Allah orders a good deed to be written into the contract.
So Allah, how merciful is Allah Subhana Allah.
So Allah made
doing good, very easy. And Allah made doing evil, difficult and expensive, as the people who are habituated to drinking alcohol, how much money they're spending on alcohol,
people who are habited to a who are habituated to smoking and, you know, tobacco products and what how much money they're spending or that people who are habituated to drugs, how much money they're spending on that people who have matured to gambling, I mean, entire homes are destroyed, because people are sitting and putting money in those slot machines and so on homes are destroyed, lives are destroyed, how much of evil there is and how much so, sin is not difficult, it is not easy. Sin is very difficult.
Good, is very easy. How difficult is it to smile at somebody?
Please, my name is
Roger, because this is our data. Now we smile at each other we might just think about this is why I'm saying you know, we must we must feel that we must feel this run of Allah, which is why a good deed has been written in your account inshallah, just like this, just because I smile, a good deed has been written in your account and just like that,
we shake hands with a brother. Nevertheless, Adam said Allah subhanaw taala forgives both the sins, Sins of both just you just out of love for the brother your greeting or Salalah. Chicken?
How much effort does it take to chickens?
This is how much you will always want to live. This is how merciful.
My question to myself anyway is
that if anyone has
any amount of demand, okay, even if I have a little bit of demand building, I really believe only that I will meet Allah
that I must race to do things to please Allah.
They are easy to do. They don't cost anything and there's huge reward.
And I know I will meet a lot. I must race to do those things.
And I must stay away from everything which displays the loss.
Again, as I said, there's a belief there's an action which reflects the belief, what am I believe that I will meet Allah?
This is our fundamental belief that I will meet a lot. reflection of that belief is what is my attitude towards doing good? And what is my attitude towards David staying away from what is not?
This is the meaning of leaving Islam we we are assessing ourselves is not for us versus somebody else. I'm talking for myself, you're talking to yourself.
So if I say I have a man
in Allah subhanho wa Taala I have a man that I will meet Allah one day, I must look at my own life and say what is the evidence in my life, that I have this image
and that evidence must be my enthusiasts.
And the degree to which I run towards doing good things, and the degree to which I stay away from evil things.
Right? It's easy Islam is easy, easy to practice.
In Shall We ask Allah subhanaw taala gelato to be pleased with you and never to be displeased. We ask Allah subhanaw taala to open your hearts to his love and to guidance from him. We ask Allah subhanaw taala to help us to live our lives according to the best son of his messenger Muhammad Ali.
We ask Allah subhanaw taala to fill our lives with the Baraka and nor of living by the Sunnah of Rasulullah Salah holism Salah, and we ask Allah subhanaw taala to reward us and to benefit us from with with all this is Apple lock, I don't sell
