Welcome to this latest episode of the strangers we're in we have been going through the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, where he said that Islam began as something strange, and it will once again return as being something strange. So give glad tidings to the stranger. And so the question that comes to the mind of every single Muslim today

is that after Islam began as something strange in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has returned today as something strange.

Meaning are we today living in that strangeness, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam spoke of 1400 years ago? Or has that strangeness not come?

And so the reality is that the strangeness of Islam, it can come at different times, in different places, in different areas, in one place, it could be looked at as being something strange, and in another place, it is not necessarily the case. And then there are different kinds of strangeness. There is the strangeness of Muslims among a greater body of non Muslim. And so Islam is looked at as something strange. Or it could be that the few Muslims who practice their religion and follow the way of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, are looked at as being strange among their people, who are also Muslims, but do not practice the religion do not follow the Sunnah of the Prophet

sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And so in the general sense, we say that, yes, there is no doubt that today that strangeness of Islam has returned,

if it not be in certain areas, in most places in the world today. Islam is something strange, and its followers who adhere to it are strangers, whether it be Muslims living in non Muslim societies, or Muslims living in Muslim majority countries, who practice Islam, according to how Allah wants us to practice it. And yet among their own people, among the Muslims themselves, they are looked at as strangers, there is no doubt that this exists today, in our world. And this is the whole reason why we are, you know, discussing this Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, because of the strangeness of Islam that has returned to this world. Now, if we are to examine

the causes for the strangeness today, what are the causes that lead up to the strangeness of Islam in the world today? Now, if we were to look into the causes of the strangeness of Islam, what led to Islam becoming strange in our world today, after it was not something strange in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam when he died, and after him when the companions carried on the message of Islam, to the horizons and Assam spread, and it was prevalent among the nations.

What happened? What led to the demise, and what led to Islam becoming strange? Once again, if we were to look at the causes, there are many, and there are so many that we cannot really cover them all. But let us go through some of these causes, some of the causes behind the strangeness of Islam returning to the world today, the first main cause, behind Islam returning as something strange is a natural cause. And that is the distance from the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam from the era of the companions until today. And so the further we go, the worse things are going to get. And the more Islam is going to become something strange. And so the Prophet salallahu it

Sallam said that the best of my generations, or rather, the best of generations is my generation, and then those who follow them, and then those who follow them, and so the best of generations, and the best of times was the times of the companions, then the time that preceded that, then the time that preceded that, and then on you go, and then on and on you go.

And in another Hadith, in the hadith of holies, a terminal young man,

he said that the people used to ask the Prophet sallallahu, how do you send them about good things? While I used to always ask him about Satan, about evil, about tribulations? Why? Because I was afraid that time will come when I will end up in the evil, so I want him some guidance. And so I want to ask the Prophet Sall, Allahu Allah, you send them a messenger of Allah. Once upon a time, we were in ignorance. And then Allah subhanahu wa tada bestowed upon us, the present good that we have. So will there be any evil after this good. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Yes. So I asked, Will there be any good after that evil? And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

said, Yes, however, it will be tainted with some evil with a little bit of evil. So today for temporary gamma, he asked, What will this little bit of evil be? And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, there will be some people who will lead the people, according to principles, other than my own sooner, you will see their actions and you will disapprove of them. And so I said, for the fraternity a man, will there be any evil after that good. And so the prophet SAW Selim said, yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hellfire, and whoever accepts their invitation to it will be thrown into the Hellfire by them. And so I said that effectively. And

I said, O Messenger of Allah, describe those people to us. And so the prophet SAW sent him said, they will belong to us, and they will speak our language, meaning they will be from among the Arabs. And so I asked, What do you order me to do? If such a thing happens in my lifetime? What do you order me to do? If that time comes in, I'm alive. So he said, the process, Adam said, adhere to the body of the Muslims, to the mass of the Muslims, adhere to them cling to the Gema of the Muslims, and their leader. So

he didn't stop there. He said, O Messenger of Allah. If there is neither a group of Muslims, nor a leader, then what do you advise me to do? So he said, Keep away from all those seconds from all those groups, even if you have to bite onto the root of a tree, until you meet a loss of Hannah, who without a while you're in that state. And so what we see is that the natural cause, for strangeness, to appear as we see it in the world today, the strangeness of Islam, the natural cause of that is how far we have come from the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And after every good, there will be evil. After every good, there will be evil until the day of judgment, until he will

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Welcome back. Before the break, we were speaking about how the dunya is a natural cause that resulted in Islam returning as something strange how the Muslims themselves have resorted to the dunya and attach themselves to the dunya immersed in the dunya to the point where it has become attached and in their hearts. And they have forgotten about their purpose in this life, the majority of those out there are chasing after the dunya they have been distracted by the delusion of this temporary enjoyment. And so when Islam comes in the form of the strangers who practice it, they are shunned even by the Muslims. And so Islam seems something

strange. Moving on to another cause for the return of the strangeness of Islam is the fact that Islam reached places that it had not reached before. And that is basically the non Arabs. And so Islam reached societies that their mother tongue was not Arabic. And so they had to learn the Arabic language, and then understand the Quran and the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And this was not an issue in the beginning of Islam. It was not an issue when the companions, the conquered non Arab lands, such as Persia and beyond hurrahs and And beyond that, and people came into the religion. And so right away, they learned the Arabic language in order to understand the

words of Allah subhanho wa Taala. In those days, it was not an issue. But it became an issue in the later centuries, when people abandoned the Arabic language, and simply relied upon other translations of the Quran, and of the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And so what this did is that it created a barrier between the revelation and properly understanding it, because the revelation came in the clear Arabic tongue. Not only that, but it also introduced customs and traditions that are foreign to Islam.

And so that is a reality that we see today that there are many Muslims, who follow tradition and custom, tradition and custom of their people of their forefathers that is foreign to the teachings of Islam. And that is foreign to the culture of the Arabs, not to see that the Arabs themselves have practices and traditions that are full

into Islam. But we are talking about the non Arabs as for the Arabic language, then as I mentioned, it needs to be understood. And that's why the scholars of Islam have repeatedly mentioned the importance of understanding the Arabic language of gaining and understanding of it in order to understand the religion. That's why Mr. Musharraf would be the famous scholar me Allah have mercy upon him, he says that the Sharia is in the Arabic language. And so if it was in Arabic, no one can correctly understand it, except one who correctly understands the Arabic language and a bit tanea. May Allah have mercy upon him, he also says that the Arabic language itself is part of Islam. And

knowing Arabic is an obligation, if it is a duty, and an obligation to understand the Quran. And as soon as they cannot be understood without knowing Arabic, then the means that is needed to fulfill that obligation is also an obligation. And so he viewed that understanding the Arabic language, studying it, learning it is an obligation in order to understand the core ad. And so we can see that one of the causes behind the strangeness of Islam returning in our times, is the many non Arabs who embraced Islam. And with them, they brought their baggage, and they did not pay any attention to learning the Arabic language. In fact, today, the majority of the Muslim population in the world are

non Arabs. And so it is natural for the strangeness of Islam to return. Among the causes of the strangeness of Islam returning to the world today, especially in Muslim countries, is the external enemy. And so in the past centuries, in the days of colonization, when the European powers came and colonized vast parts of the Muslim world, and divided the Muslim world, among them, colonizing it, what they did, is that one of the main goals that they had, is to separate the Muslims from their religion, and from their book from the ad. And so one of the things that they strive to do is to separate the Muslims from their scholars. And so they would discredit the scholars, they would

diminish the status of the Muslim scholars who taught the people their religion, and the preachers of Islam, and said that these people are nobodies. Instead, what did they do? They took intellectuals, smart, young individuals from the Muslims, brainwash them, took them back to Europe, and taught them in their institutions in the universities. And then these same individuals, came back to the Muslim countries, and became looked at as the role models, as the intellectuals as the scholars who we should follow. And so they brought with them the entire culture of that society. And so Islamic culture became replaced by this Western foreign culture. And so without a doubt,

colonization had a huge impact, and was one of the main causes behind the strangeness of Islam to return today. And so, that is why in many Muslim countries, where colonization took place, we find that the preferred language is not the Arabic language. Rather, it is a foreign language, the language of those who colonized whether it be English or French, we find that the customs, the clothing, the food, their way of living, has come and replaced the we have the Muslims. And so without a doubt, now, when a Muslim he studies the religion, and the Muslim sister after studying the religion, decides to wear hijab, she's looked at as a stranger, the Muslim brother, who after

studying the words of the Prophet, sallAllahu, alayhi wa sallam, he decides to grow his beard in the society he's looked at as a stranger because the colonizers, they made the women to remove their hijab. And they encourage that, and they encourage the men to shave their beards. These are just two common examples. There are so many other examples that could be mentioned, among the causes of the strangeness of Islam to return to the world we live in, as we see it today is the disunity of the Muslims. And so when the colonizers came and divided the Muslims in today's world, they divided them along the lines of ethnic

Language borders. And so they divided the Muslims, and in many cases, even the same language, and the same ethnic background has been divided into several countries. And so the disunity of the Muslims is one of the main causes for the strangeness of Islam to have returned. And so when a Muslim calls for the unity of all the Muslims, there are Arabs and the non Arabs he's looked at as being strange. How could you unite us? And so we could see that this unity is one of the causes for the strangeness of Islam to appear in the world today. And that's why Allah subhanho wa Taala forbade us from becoming disunited. And so Allah said, why not, and as a fetish, shall who

do not become disunited, do not dispute among yourselves, so that you lose your momentum. And Allah subhanho wa Taala said, Well, I just removed the hubballi law hegemony and

hold on to the rope of Allah subhanho wa Taala, and do not become disunited. Moving on to the next cause, among the causes of the strangeness of Islam to return to the world we live in today is that the Sharia has been abandoned. implementing the law of loss of Hannah who attacked it in the world today has become abandoned, implementing the Constitution of Allah, the Quran has become abandoned, and it has been replaced with it has been replaced with man made laws. And this is also one of the results of colonization, where they came and brought in their laws. But the fact that the Sharia is not being implemented, it is missing, it is absent, it causes the Muslims to become disconnected

from it. And so when you come and teach the Muslims, that this is the law of Allah, and not this man made law, you're looked at as being a stranger. What are you saying this is something strange, because they have been disconnected from the law of loss of Hannah who whatever. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam alluded to this when he said, from among my followers, there will be some people who will consider

illegal sexual intercourse Zina to be legal, they will consider wearing silk for men to be illegal, they will consider drinking alcohol to be legal, and they will consider the use of musical instruments to be legal. And so they will legalize what was wrong in the law of loss of Hanna who was finally, among the causes of the return of the strangeness of Islam to this world, is the internal enemy. And they are none other than the hypocrites, who in today's world, in the Muslim world, are basically the secularists, the liberals, who claim to the Muslims who claim to be one of us, who claim to be working for our colleagues. But the reality is that they are working against

Islam, and against the Muslims. They have hidden agendas. They want to separate Islam, from the society. And so they want to implement what happened in the West what happened in Europe, of the separation of church from state, and that's why Allah subhanho wa Taala warned us the greatest warning. And so Allah said, Humala,

they are the enemy. So be aware of them. They are the enemy, so be aware of them. And so the hypocrites, they hate Islam, but they're not able to express their hatred, that was in the time of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. And even in today's time, in Muslim societies, where Muslims are the majority, they're not able to openly proclaim their hatred for Islam. So they cover themselves with the mistakes of the Muslims to demolish the foundation of Islam. And so one of their signs is that when the enemy attacks the Muslims, they remain silent. And when the Muslims make a mistake, that is when they emerge, also, the one who says there is something called liberal Islam.

Either he doesn't understand what Islam is, or he doesn't understand what liberalism is, or he doesn't understand them both. And he attempts to combine two opposites that can never be combined. And so liberalism and secularism is crucial, it is disbelief, and Islam is on the other end of the spectrum. And so, these individuals, the secularists who are calling for a modern version of Islam, without a doubt they are one of the causes behind the strangeness of Islam to appear in the world today.

That is because many Muslims have followed them and think that their version of Islam is the true version of Islam. And so they think that secularism, that democracy, that liberalism, it conforms within Islam, and there is no contradiction between the two. But the reality is that these are the hypocrites. And these are the individuals who caused Islam to become something strange in today's world.
