Quranic Themes – Episode 1 – The Straight Path

it's lovely to be back here and we're going to do another series now and this series is going to be about looking at Quranic themes. Okay? The Quran has been revealed to us and you know, the Quran is not it looks like it's not in order. But there's a very big reason why Allah did not put the Quran in a systematic order, like from A to Zed, like Allah could have said, Okay, this chapter about, you know, let's say, the Korea lesson and this is gonna be all the all the things about the Korea lesson, all the things about administration, all the things about the jinns and that's nothing more and all the things about, you know, the humans and the men or the women and this and that whatever,

whatever we've got in our lives, Allah could have done that he could have put all the beliefs in one surah and all the actions in another surah. But Allah azza wa jal didn't do it. Why?

Because the Quran is, is is in a way made, like it's called multi layers upon multi layers, and each layer has got connections with the layer below it above it, side of it in front of it behind it on the right side, left side. And it's got it's like a hologram, it's got so many different connections. And when you look at a hologram, that when you look at a large hologram, with many several lines going all across, if you tilted This way, you see something if you tilt it that way, you see something if you tell too slowly, this way you see something, if you look from beneath you see something if you look at it from one angle, you see nothing. That's how the parameters are made.

Because you can kind of see that these ions are not joined, but they are joined the they are joined one thing. Second is when Alan mentioned something here and then he goes on to a different subject in different subject, what it forces you to do is not only look at what Allah is trying to say, but also the words he used. For example, if you use the word hedaya,

you're going to be forced to look at all the other places in the Holy Quran, where Allah mentioned hedaya guidance, it forces you to do that. If Allah had a surah about just about hedaya about guidance, and all the things about guidance, he put it all in one surah you will read that surah only with the mind of guidance.

You would not you know think about anything else, right? You just look at the guidance, guidance, guidance, guidance here guidance in the home guidance say God, that's it. But when Allah azza wa jal uses in a certain certain sort of Fatiha and then he says in another part of the Quran, he says, Well, I'm not gonna homeschool and I will guide them to a pathways. Okay, this is not the end of ceramica booth and

I will guide them to my pathways here. It forces you to think about both the things and Allah has used Hidayat so many times the Holy Quran guidance sometimes it forces you to analyze every single one of those points. And when you look at Sudan Kabuto at the end, and you see Allah said, One larina gehouden, feen, Lana, dn Susanna, Allah said, Those who will exert themselves to reach us like those who will do their best to try and make a good connection with Allah. Allah says, Lana, dn Solana, I will open my pathways to them. So what he does now he makes you think, wow, there's a whole context with a different Ayah there's a context of Surah Fatiha here with a last but not

surface nothing. There's a context to another part of the Quran, where Allah has said about he died again. And I recognize him as as the one who sustains provides and so on Okay, for not only me I mean all the different worlds and when we say world we don't just mean you know,

if you look at the seagull find okay well the jinn worlds of angels worlds of humans and so are not within every human world, there are several worlds if you look in, in unpredictable stuff, you'll find this okay? Every single world there are many different worlds. So in the world of angels that are different worlds of angels, okay, there's the hierarchy angle, there's a low angels of the angels who are in the first heaven angels of the seventh heaven, angels that are busy going up and down angels that stand in front of Allah azza wa jal in one heaven, and just continuously worshiping in the world of animals that are many different worlds, and so on and so forth. Okay. Now, I'm not

going to give a full set of sort of factor, but I just want to say the next thing is we recognize Allah as the Most Merciful the most kind, okay to everyone, specifically to the believers of Rahim, Okay, first Abrahamic to everyone, then arriving specifically to the believers. We recognize then that our, our meeting is going to win the day of judgment. Okay, so all of this was in the dunya, Alhamdulillah, blauman, and Rahmani Raheem was back in between dounia Africa, we want your specific mercy NASA then was Maliki only Dean, you are going to be the only one who owns everything on the day of gentlemen. So we recognize we're going to come there. And then the bridge between the dunya

In surah Ar Rahman Allah says one of the biggest things you need is you need a balance. Allah says, Allah it means on

a lot of you as insan you as human beings, don't violate the balance that I've given you. And this balance, we're talking about Milan, Milan is Paris you can say a pair of scales or a balance, okay? Certain study is something which you know, to get this balance, what we mean by this is, first biggest balance is that we balanced between our lives of what we see and what we don't see.

Okay, we've got to do this as Muslims, Allah, the big balance, what you see and what you don't see. You guys understand? You don't understand. Let me explain it further. Some of these guys lost us today.

Allah said to

me was Shahada. He's the Knower of the unseen and the seen.

You guys understand? The things we see and the things we don't see, Allah sees both we only see one lasses both. In fact Allah sees everything of all the seen world that he sees everything of the unseen world we only see part on the scene world and we see nothing of the unseen world. Allah has said if you want to get a balance in your life, the first thing is you better get the balance between the scene life and the unseen life where does Allah say that look in the Quran? at the same time be connected to the next world. I should never be connected so much to this world that I forget my next world and I should never be so connected to the next well that I forget this vote.

You guys understand? It's a balance Allah has dealt with this in many parts of the Quran. Let me give you an example. Okay, and and you know, probably

This, you've seen it daily in your lives, how many Muslims do we know? That because of money because of wealth because of jobs because of them now, because of the seen world because of what they want. Now, they have left the accurate they leave the salon, they leave the you know, they leave connection with a law, they leave the port and they leave all of this. How many do we know? Plenty? There's too many to count.

This is they're, they're gone this way.

But you know what, some people go that way, as well.

I'll give you an example and Rasulullah sallallahu Addison's time

with Abu Dhabi Allah. He used to come home and he used to after after he used to come home and he used to do his natural prayers. But his wife after a while she came to the province of the last month she complained. She said Mr. novella, my husband comes home. Okay, after all day comes home, and then I'm waiting for him. And then after that, you know, after he's gone to sleep or something, and she's now awake, because she slept in an ideas during the day and you know that she's not finding that connection. So she complained to the purpose of the lesson. So the Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam. After a while he sent salamander, the Allahu anhu as a guest to a Buddha house. Okay. So someone asked a Buddha Dhamma stay in your house for three days. He said, Fine, you can come. So Selman went to his house after a Shabbos came home in Abu Dhabi and Abu Salah

basically Subhan Allah is getting ready for lava and someone said Hey, stop. We didn't he said.

He said

he said Go Go to work right now you know go go go sleep.

He telling me he said go to sleep now. So he went to sleep. Okay, went went to bed. Then some man got up. The alarm got up later on in the night for 204 Kelvin lay. I will tell him also got up they both prayed to God, they both came late. Okay. And then they went for father and farther. I am not having any of this. Okay? He complained to the browser last semester messenger of Allah, this guest comes to my house and tells me that I can't do my novel.

My extra prayers rasulillah salam said Okay, tell me what's going on. Okay. Because they they plan this dragon is no his wife to try and get her rights. Okay. So he said look, I said I go home and I do my nofollowed way. And someone came to me to go to sleep any time to wake up.

And then when I asked some man he said the professor said this, the professor was we said in

your eye has a right over you. This is a mountain. Is it your right your eye has a right over you that you must sleep. We're in le nuptse gallega your body has a right over you. You need to give it rest. Why in

your family has a right over you as well. We're in an era

of you as well. You've got to balance everything.

And he complained to the process. And he said you know, he said that he quoted you that you said this in the process of Rossum said saga, Sandman, Sandman spoke the truth.

Okay, get the balance right. So naspo truth. So some of you will go this way. And some of you will go that way. Okay, and in everything allows us to keep that balance. If you ever think well how do I know when where to find this balance and how to balance it, you got to go and see what you've got to go to two places. Number one is the Quran Okay, the Quran gives us a very detailed explanation of balance. With our wealth

the way we deal with our wealth the way we you know, we have our monies Allah set the balance. If you spend too much

you've broken the balance, you've you've offset the whole thing. If you're stingy and you don't spend you go that way, and the last talk about both of them in the Holy Quran. So if I give you the is Surah Surah

Allah azza wa jal has said

boss. Hey man, hey, do you want us to have a good time? Yeah, I'm gonna spit it on you boy.

Rob I'm gonna spend on you. You know you put your hands out like that was super cool dusty, don't spell your arms out fully and say you're gonna spend and spend and spend.

regretting what they did. Why? Because I lost coolers for a balance you spend you keep some you spare you keep some you save some you spend some somehow to law some people I don't I don't understand them. You know, you know people

people sometimes don't even get the balance right with saving

some people saving means that you save you save you save you never spend from that place again. Like from the savings that you got, you never spend from that when you need to spend that's why you saved right. Why did you save you save so that you could be in your grave? And everybody else could spend your money?

You guys answer No, no, I was in India with my with my chef and

we're taking a journey from up to Delhi Okay, so the the money for a good first class carriage of a train service and they've got some good trains out there Mashallah. Better than what I've seen in this country.

The first class is really good. Anyway. So they've got a really good carriage you can get with you know, you know, cushy seats and private cabin everything for Guess what? But four pounds, okay, it's about 400 rupees or something over there. And there was a man amongst us who had the money to spend the rest of them were bits poor so they went by bus and I went by train machine when by train, and this man who had the money he decided to go by bus.

Now if you go by bus, you're gonna have a very rough ride. Okay, it's gonna be longer journey, rough ride. And how is he going to say he's just going to save a couple of pounds. And he was going to go on the on the bus and he went on the bus in the share setting. He said, Listen.

Why did you save your money in your life? What's the point of saving your money? If you can't use your money when you need to use your money? What's the point of saving and some people are the opposite. They never say

Hola, Hola. Hola. They never save anything. They never have anything for the rainy days. Again, the balance is not there. Look at the Quran. The Quran says. I'll give you another verse because it talks about this balance.

Allah says in

Surah number 25, sort of full con and number 67 one Latina Eva and Saku la muesli fu while I'm yet to work anabaena velyka calama Allah has said those who when they spend they not extravagant, they are not extravagant, nor are they stingy, but they are in between. That is a balance. We have to have a balance in terms of the way we approach people. If you're too sweet, people will swallow you.

And if you're too bitter, people will spit you out.

So you got to remain in between. It's a it's a very tricky thing. Okay, remaining between. Don't ever get too sweet. And don't ever get too bitter.

If you're too bitter, okay, Allah said in the Holy Quran, this again part of our balance, okay? Allah said

this is in Surah

Surah Allah moron.

So number three is number 159 fabby mera Mati Mina la healing

some people, that's how they talk. Okay, when they go home,

Even wife doesn't want to be nearby or somebody else doesn't want to be nearby. Why? Because the Quran has said you get the balance wrong. That is what's going to happen. But the opposite is true as well.

If you become too soft,

people will swallow you, man.

He will follow you. People will take you towards themselves. People who use you people will put them in their own agenda, people will take you for a ride. It's in the Quran. Because Allah has warned the professor Larson about this as well. This is in the 15th 15 Jews of the Holy Quran. And this is in Surah number 17 one seven, and Allah has said

And so Hamilton slam has given us that balance, which is whether you love or you hate you keep a balance. Don't ever love someone too much. Don't ever hate someone too much. Keep the balance. The what is the purpose of the law how to set up a happy happy duck. How

Okay, there's a balance here, which is when you love you have to love moderately. I'll give you an example. Look, when Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam loved the idea of the love on how he loved his wives. He did it in a balanced way. He never gave too much love. And he never gave to less love. He gave the right balance. So whenever there was an issue with him, and I generally olana he was always able to maintain his position.

Now, let me explain this a little bit more, because some people are like, What's that got to do with me, bro? Yeah. Do you know that there's so many people in this Western world who are suffering because they gave too much love?

You know, you don't agree with me. Do you guys agree with me?

Many reliant on our token.

But let me explain to you. The man is sitting in his home, okay.

His wife

is spending from his credit card or his debit card. And the man can't say nothing. And I'm saying because if the man says something, then he's not gonna get any performance in the night time. Or you might have some other trouble. He might not have some, you know, plate of food, whatever. Yeah. The woman. She's home, okay.

And she's given too much.

Much love to her husband. And because she's given too much love to her husband, her husband's not going to even get up from that sofa and do anything. Just gonna sit there.

He's just gonna sit there because she gave too much love.

There's parents who got the children who are playing these games, electronic games and as a you know, finish finish times up, and that you

can't get them to finish.

They're just playing and playing and playing. Are you gonna finish? Are you gonna finish? Come on, come on. I can finish another half an hour gone. 45 minutes gone. 15 minutes. What? Why? Because you gave too much love.

If you can't get your child to listen to you, if you can't get someone in a household to listen to you, it probably means that you've put yourself in a weak position because you gave too much love. And I'll tell you, I'm not, I'm just not just saying is we suffer in this part of the world with too much love. And in the other part of the world that we came from, they suffer with to less love.

You guys understand? You guys.

If you visited those plays, you know that they don't care about anything. All right, kid not listening.

And the story? No, everything sold? Yeah, some are not listening. finish in time. Yeah. What is the why for somebody else, they just know how to do that. And they've got less love and some of the habits on that side, and then got too much love on this side. And we both suffering for different reasons. Because in your love, if you give too much, guaranteed you're going to suffer in the long term.

So people told me this. There's a man from Edmonton. Here, Edmonton. Man rang me last year, he told me how, how much he gave to his No, he said, Look, I've given this to my wife. And I gave this to my wife. And you know, she's got a comfortable house here. I'm working. And I'm doing this shift and that shift. And, you know, she she wanted this again, the two she wanted that gave that to her. And then after a few years, she wanted this and again that and it's also and I've got a few kids in between. And yes, I'm given enough money to look after the kids look after herself. And one day, one day, after many, many years, she tells him that, you know, she's not happy.

She's not happy what we're talking about. Now, she's not happy when I spoke to him for 45 minutes. And I asked this question, and that question does go on, I said, Bob, I tell you what your problem is, your problem is you made it too sweet.

If you make it too sweet, my mouse doesn't want to taste anything sour. If you make it too sour, then you know, it's enough, somebody else might not taste that nice. You can't you know, you gotta have the balance. I said you've given too much. Now you're gonna have to curtail this whole thing back. And so the Han Allah the Quran, when he talked about us having the straight path, it meant a balance, even in our emotions, even when you're angry, be balanced. If you look at Rasulullah sallallahu and his anger, he was balanced. And many of us need to learn from this. Because some of us when we get angry, then it's like, oh, we incredible hope

in a destroy stuff.

No sense, okay, he's angry. He's gonna smash blades. He's gonna like, you know, wave his arms, he's gonna probably you know, hit something punched a wall punch a door.

Incredible, what does that do to you, bro, you're, you're embarrassing yourself.

And some other people when they you know, because a lot of people sort of analyze them. They get hungry.

And they just sit there.

Like,

they know all the angles festering in here vesting in there, and they complain to people, but they don't solve the problem. They don't stand the grounds. The Quran has taught us that we have a balance, you get angry, you have the right to get angry. And you got to keep your styles and the Quran has spoken about this. So for example, okay, for example, there are many times when Rasulullah sallallahu had to stand his ground.

And they came to the process of loss of a mandate and they challenged him. And the process also had to stand his ground. He said something he meant it that said, these are the lines and you don't cross these lines and Subhanallah you have to learn from this because some people, you know, whatever line you draw, people are always going to challenge you to try and move the line a bit back. And they're always going to challenge you to try and move the money back. So in that

Gathering of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, some of them started to ask him questions and questions and questions and questions, you know, and then they got to see the questions. Now there's a balance here when you're asking questions. Yes, certain questions. I was hungry will amaze you. They're asking you about intoxicants and gambling. This is a valid question. And the province of Lawson gave an answer to the Where's aluna? Can India terma they're asking you about the orphans. And Abram gave an answer for that there was a Luna county Mohave they asked me a question about women and their menstruation. The Quran answered that these are valid questions. But then one day, you know, as

You know, when people cross the line? Yeah, it's my father, my real father.

And then Allah, you know, set the record straight. Allah said sudama, number five is number 101. Yeah, you are Latina. Amen. Oh, you believe lattice Aloo Han Ashiya. Don't ask about certain things.
