So you know, this is something this is a, a principle of life of medicine, and so on, is that if you, if you're going to try and cure yourself, one of the best
things that you can do, is not to even become ill. If you're not ill, then there's no, you know, there's no pain, there's no need to go to the doctors. And that's what prevention is you prevent yourself from becoming ill. And if you do that, and if you understand how to do that, then it's better to continue like that, and you have no problems. Why wait till the day when you get ill, and then have to go to the doctors and get medication? Why have to use Why do you have to use medication, when you can avoid becoming ill? So for example, when you're you know, prevention is in every form of our life, as well as we, you know, waking up. So you wake up in the morning, why do
you brush your teeth? Because you prevent tooth decay?
Why do you
put clothes on appropriate to the weather? If it's cold, you put extra clothing on? Why is prevention? Why do you wear a scarf on a very windy day? It's prevention from the wind getting to your neck, and then you're going to be coming? Why do you carry an umbrella is prevention because you don't want the rain to wet your hair? And then maybe you get ill? Why do you wear shoes prevention? Again, you don't want your feet to be cut and so on so forth. When you cross the road, why do you look left? Look right, left, look left again, why is that for this country or for other countries where they drive on the other side is different. Okay, you learn that when you go to those
countries. So So why do you do that because again, prevention of an accident of a car, in every form, as we're going ahead, there is prevention.
And if you're if you're, you know, aware of your surroundings, if you be aware of what is coming towards you, then Alhamdulillah you're safe in your sound you have no problems with with things that other people can run into. Now, the same happens with the human being in Islam. Because we've got, you know, we've got things that are open, open and things can enter into our bodies. And just like you can, you can go into normal sort of like let's say for example, somebody is wearing a thin t shirt. In winter, already, you know, that the prevention is low, okay, they're wearing a thin t shirt in winter, they're drinking cold drinks with ice inside in winter, so the body is getting cold
inside the body is getting cold on the outside, there's little form of prevention.
The person is you know, opening the windows and letting the wind come or the air come straight and flow onto the body cold air, you know, snap cold air, we know that this person is now prone to becoming ill. Right.
If you want to keep the house warm if you want to keep yourself warm. The first is you've got to keep enough ventilation but not too much. You can't keep the windows wide open and you've got less clothing on it is going to become is going to become quite cold for you. So you're going to have a balance with how much air you got flowing in. But the best thing is if you if you don't want the place to get cold and you shut the window, the same is when you've got AC on let's say you've got a condition on you have to close the places where the air is going to escape or there's going to not the escaping but rather the hot air from outside coming in. So if you've got AC on a new kind of
summer, and one of the Windows is slightly open, then the car will not get cold. The same in a house or in a build building you've got some form of opening is just going to escape. The cold air is going to escape the hot air is going to come in the same way when we as Muslims we worship Allah azza wa jal we come and we do our Salah we come and you know, we fast in Ramadan, we do all the other things you know Medina
Throughout the year,
if you are worshipping Allah azza wa jal and obeying him on the one side, which is,

But then what happens is they're not a good person. They don't change as a person, they don't change as an individual, they are flat their character is not that good. Why, because of this problem of not being able to prevent and what i what i mean by that.
If they if for example, that tongue, the tongue is not preventing the person is not preventing the tongue from harm.
Then there's going to be these, the the Lulu mat or the darkness that will come into the body. See, sins bring a darkness and power,
trying to evade laws which brings a light. So each time we obey Allah azza wa jal in anything, Allah gives us a light. But there is a whole system around us that is going on. That every time we do a good deed there is light and every time you do badly there is darkness in us in a another Hadith give you give another example.
In another Hadith Sahih Muslim, the prophet of Allah Horus was explained to us that when a person does a good deed, a white.is thrown on to the heart by an angel, an angel will throw a white.on to the heart. When a person does another good deed, the white the the angel will cover and throw another white dot onto the heart. And he says that the heart will continue to have white dots onto it until the entire heart becomes white with no and with light. Okay, the same Hadees tells us when a person does a sin coming to sin, then the angel will throw a black dot onto the heart and they sin again, the angel will throw another blacktop onto the heart and they continue to sin until the
entire heart becomes completely dark and black because of the sense that again, if you were to operate on the person, the physical heart is going to be red
blood redness, but there is a metaphorical and there is an unseen heart that is there. And that's the one that is either becomes white, or it becomes black, depending on the good deeds that we do or
The bad deeds that we do. So my point is that when we're doing good deeds, we're getting new we're getting light into the into the heart. When you do bad deeds or you disobey Allah, you get darkness you get you get darkness that prevails that takes over the heart. And of course, you can go from black to white, white to black, you can go in forms of gray, there are many shades of grey in between. So if you do good deeds, you get white, white, white, then you do a few bad days black, black turns slightly grayish, then you do good deeds, again, you can turn back again into more, you know, light gray, light gray, light gray, and then you know, darker, lighter, darker, lighter.

Now, it's dried up, you put that underwater, you keep it underwater for for good half an hour, it won't go. It needs a special cleaning thing for it. It needs one of those white spirits, you know those liquids that you get to put it on to that and to wash it away with a special cleaning liquid. The same with a major sin, you have to do tober you have to specifically go to a lance a or LA I really messed up. Another one is to say as promised someone with your tongue, but then not fulfill it. Another one is to deceive someone with the tongue. Another one is to belittle someone with the tongue. Another one you know there are many many things that you can do with your with your tongue, and all these are different harems. Now the one is to
spread rumors between people. Now the one is to cause people to fight. Another one is to spread the information that that, you know deliberately is going to make this person hate that person. All of these things are from the, from the things of the tongue that we shouldn't do. Now, if a person prevents themselves from this, then you prevent the darkness from getting to your heart, you prevent the illness from coming in, you keep your heart pure. If a person continues to lie continues to cheat continues to say things that are not appropriate, then you're causing damage to it. Let me give you another example. Some of you will understand
when you're trying to
when you're trying to say when you're trying to collect money.
When you're trying to save money for something, let's say you want to buy a car.
Now your car is worth let's say, 5000 pounds, you want to buy the car, your weekly, or let's say your monthly saving is like you know, maybe 500 pounds. So you can save in a month, 500 pounds as an example, and you want to get a car for 5000 pounds in 10 months you'd have the car, I'm just giving you a very simple example. Now imagine during the month, the 500 pounds is supposed to save, you're having a coffee for 10 pounds. A, you're having another dinner treat for 50 pounds, you're going out there for an outing for another 60 pounds. So you're doing this is that what happens to you 500 pounds is you start to lose, lose, lose, lose until we get that right down to let's say 240 pounds
or something, you've got less than half of what you would have had. If you had prevented going to these extra coffees and extra whatever you've got, then you can get your 500 pounds cooking every month and then you can buy your car in 10 months time. Having money is not just the issue, it's it's making sure that the money doesn't slip out of your hands. That's when you save money. It's not about what you've got today. It's about whether there's hold in there. For example, you're trying to collect water in a bucket or a container. If your container has got no holes in it, then of course the water will remain inside there. As soon as you've got a hole inside there, the water will
trickle trickle out trickle out until nothing's going to remain in there. The same with the heart. If a person is trying to keep the Noor of Allah and the light in here, if a person is trying to get in the inclination of Allah, if the person is feeling that I want to be closer and closer to Allah, and I'm doing my Salah I'm doing my Quran I'm doing a good deeds, all of that is going to be beneficial if you if you do what if you block the holes from where all the nude escapes?

There's no prevention if there's no prevention in looking at her arm, and straightaway, the darkness comes in the stain goes on to the heart. The new is lost. Okay, and therefore you're not getting close enough to Allah. Some people they practice a stand for 10 years
and they still don't find closeness to Allah they find it sometimes they don't find it other times. Why? Because you got something open. You've got a window open when you've got AC on.

If you stay there, where they are backbiting, if you remain there, the Quran has told us that not just backbiting anything that is being done done wrong any wrongful act that has been done. If you remain in the presence of people doing the wrongful act, then Allah azzawajal has said that you are equal to the people who are doing the wrongful act. So for example, if somebody is making mockery of the Quran, it's a major sin, but you're sitting there and a mockery of the Quran is being made. But you're not saying anything about it. You're just sitting there. So you might think to yourself what I'm not participating in the mockery of the Quran. I'm just sitting here know if you either don't
stop them, or you don't walk away, then you're part of it. And this is in the Quran surah number four and number 140 Allah said
Salam aleikum, Anita semitone Ayah Tila, Allah says that I've revealed to you in the Quran, that when you hear the verses of Allah are being denied or being mocked for LA taco do Maha Maha, don't sit with them.

A person who is going through their life needs to train as a Muslim, we need to train ourselves, to protect our eyes to protect our ears and protect our tongues. The eyes have a natural spring, the eyes have a natural spring, the ears and the tongue have a natural spring from from closing. When it's hot on Mondays Holanda. It's a natural spring. So for example, you know, when innocent children are there, and then you see this in children, innocent children, naturally through the fifth law or through the, the way Allah has created them, they find these things to be to be bad, right? This is the natural disposition, disposition, Allah azza wa jal has given us when we in our lives. After a while, there's nothing wrong with it. At first, you're trying to be a good Muslim, the Quran has told us
meaning I mean, I'm sorry, him. The Quran has told us to keep our eyes down. Keep our gaze down. So this is in Surah.

Next verse, Allah told the women to keep their to lower their gaze both both ways, okay. And the second thing is, which is the more dangerous thing is your mind has now had an effect. Your belief now says to you, there's nothing wrong in me looking at these individuals, the way they're dressed, or the way they are not dressed in this way. Okay, so that belief now gets corrupted. There's two forms of corruptions, and both need to be in a secured. One is these holes that I've told you about the eyes, the ears, the tongue and so on the mouth and so on. We've got to
make sure that we protect them. The second and more dangerous one is when the mind has something in it, that gets corrupted. That is that is more dangerous and why do I say is more dangerous because Allah azza wa jal when he opened the Quran he started off with that.
When you when you look at the Quran, when Allah says Allah says radical tabula rasa Fie, who

Once the corruption gets to the level of the mind, then you can start making up things that weren't even there. So for example, a person was looking at women. First, he felt bad. After a while, he said, Well, there's nothing wrong with it.
Now the mind has been affected, what will the person do now? If the person cares and believing? Well, there's nothing wrong with it. And the person sometimes they justify themselves they say that? Well, you know, it's not it's not making me feel aroused.
It's not making me feel that you know, I'm inclined towards that I'm just I'm just looking at
people who have success and this people say this, they say, well, it's not making me feel anything inside. So as long as it's not making me feel anything inside is okay. So that's, that's a part of corruption that has come to the mind, then the person can move easily ahead and go further from this when because the belief system is corrupted. The Quran has spoken about some Jewish people in the province a long time, when they when they failed, it's okay for them to know dishonor the contracts they had with the believing Sahaba who converted or who came into Islam. The Quran spoke about that. And then he said, there's a reason why they did this.
We're not talking about all the Jewish people here we're talking about a part of the Jewish people who are part of the community in Rasulullah sallallahu this time,

He said that it's okay. And she's crying. She goes, Oh, he said to me, I said, What happened? He goes, it's okay. I said, What do you mean? It's okay. He said, I said, Sorry.
He said, a hater. And then I said, sorry to
you guys. And

So what's your problem?
God's servant is eating God's mangoes from God's provided tree. So what's your

Now if you start making corruption, your mind you can make whatever you want. And what will happen is you'll be the same or you'll be worse off you see these
Muslims sometimes have a hard Allah, they pray, they lie.

You could be a Muslim outwardly like this prays for years, but your life and your character doesn't change. Why? Because you've got these avenues open. So one massive part of Qur'an in many, many, many verses. Allah has spoken about taqwa. Now, if you look at the deen, for example, why do you foster the month of Ramadan?
surah number two is number 183. Allah said the whole reason why you fast is you can build this taqwa. You can build this defense scheme. Now what is taqwa? What is this preventing taqwa is that I can move on in my life. Okay? As I move on in my life, and I've made a mindset or I've got something in my mind, that whenever there is a sin or an opportunity of sin that arises, then I automatically will shut off from the sin. That's what twice.
So when you have for example, just as when you were going to, let's say you're going to go out the LA examples I gave you, when you go out you're crossing the road, you're going to look both ways before you cross the road. Because you don't want to have an accident. You don't want to be thrown off onto the road that is taqwa. So the same way, when you're going out there and there's harm on the roads that your eyes could see, straightaway you look down.
You keep yourself away from seeing those Honda's taqwa. Now you've prevented yourself from something hitting you and suddenly coming straight into your heart that's going to corrupt your heart and corrupt the goodness that you've got inside you.
