If I send a text message or an email Can I abbreviate sallallahu, alayhi wasallam to just the letter S or p b u h, when I mentioned Muhammad Sallallahu wasallam.
Generally speaking, you want to be able to write the full phrase, there's no Hadith or anything of that nature. But we do know that many of the scholars have recommended this. They said, if you're able to write so many other things, sure, certainly you should be able to write this and that was the general habit. So for example, the scholars have had the they would show in certain words, instead of saying had death, and that they'll say pheno. So they, it was just two or three letters that they took out, but they wanted to shorten it. But when they came to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they would write the full statement, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that kind of shows you
the mindset of the people who have this tradition and love for the prophets. I seldom, although they had shortened abbreviations, they didn't necessarily do it for his name. You'll find another group of scholars who don't necessarily see a problem with that. If there's a universal symbol that everyone accepts as being tantamount to reminding you to send your prayer salutations and benedictions upon the Prophet Mohammed Sai Selim, I tend to hold the more conservative view that if we're going to mention the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. It really should be something that we add the statement in its entirety, writing it for you, earns you a reward and a blessing if somebody
reads it and sends their benedictions and blessings upon the prophets of Allah holdings. Thank you for watching. Please subscribe to the channel and like the videos so that you can get notified of the new releases and consider donating to this worthy cause.
