It is Monday, April 26 2021. And today is the 14th day of the month of Ramadan

in the age of the year of 1440 to 1442 ask Allah subhanho wa to add it to make it easy for us to benefit from the rest of this month of Ramadan tonight is the 15th month of the 15th night of Ramadan. Today we are finishing up the 14th Joseph hamdulillah

so we'll jump right into it in order to save some time.

But sorta to nettle is one of those who does that if you read through it, and you read through the translation as well, you know, read the Arabic, then read the translation, and you'll probably realize how much you really enjoy that surah. Now when we think of this usually, you know we just read over it or we hear about it handled as we know the Quran came from Allah subhanho wa Taala and Alhamdulillah Yes, we know that Allah subhana wa tada is the one that preserves the Quran. But what about the ones who were chosen to preserve the Quran? Right, what status do they have? Here in this verse, we learn that Allah subhanho wa Taala if he's the one who preserves the Quran, he chooses ways to preserve the Quran, there are methods that this could have been used or there have been met, there have been methods used by Allah subhana wa added to preserve this quota and one of the methods of course, is having it compiled and written,

you know, down Of course, during the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was written down in various different

on various different items on the tree trunks, the bark of the of the palm tree, the stem of the palm tree, the leaves of the palm tree bones, stones, whatever they could find that they could use to write on of course, they didn't have the luxury of us just reaching over and pulling out a piece of paper to write on. And you'll see that in many countries today, you know, people still don't have access to paper as much as we do here in North America. You know, we take for granted we use this you know, I had something printed on your earlier today on the other half of the page. So I cut it in half kept this to write notes on but generally a lot of people just take it throw it in the

So not only has Allah subhana wa tada preserved it in writing, but he's preserved it in the memory in the minds of the people in the hearts of the Muslims. But even further than that, in the actions of the Muslims

as well. There are many Muslims that are not half as of a quota and but Allah Subhana Allah is preserving parts of the Quran within them. Not every single one of this habit of the Allah at home were half is of the Quran, right but many of them had learned parts of the Quran. And were considered people who preserved the Quran during their time so that we can benefit from it right.

So the preservation of the Quran is done in multiple different ways from a loss of hundreds and we see that even if even if we ask Allah subhana wa tada not to make this happen. But even if all of the copies of the Quran were destroyed, there are still millions of people on earth who have memorized it and every single one of them can verify the Quran with each other. Right as they recite if someone makes a mistake, they can correct you know the other person and so they can verify it and then they'll hamdulillah they'll be able to write the Quran out once again for us. And so it is Allah subhanho wa Taala who preserves the Quran

Because this is the month of Ramadan, it's the month of the Quran and we should all try to be from amongst those that learn something from the Quran, whether we learn all of it, or parts of it, we should be from the people who preserve the Quran and not forget it. Sad is the condition of the people who forget the Quran, who have memorized it and forgotten it. And there are examples, multiple examples of that. In fact, we may be those who forget parts of the Quran as well. And that's why it's our responsibility to make sure that we continue to revise continue to revise we

always say to anyone, you know, when people finish memorizing the Quran, they know how hard it was to go through that stage of memorization, and everyone else is all saying, Mashallah, Allah Allahu Akbar. Amazing ed is amazing. We pull them aside and remind them Hey, remember, it's the, it's the, it's the revision of the quota and it's really important. It's the revision of the quota and it's really important because

memorizing it. That's one aspect where you can memorize from cover to cover and you're done. Now you need to retain it, and retaining it is what takes the time and the energy and the effort, right? A lot more we could say than the actual memorization. memorization can be done all at once in one go, you know, for a couple of years to three years of having to learn you memorize it. But then every single day, there needs to be some sort of revision, whether you're listening to it, whether you're reciting it yourself, whether you're reading it by looking, it has to be something that is done in order to retain what was memorized from the Quran.

Let's move on to verses number 39. To 42.

In these verses, in fact, the verses that come before it as well if we look back to verse number

And then once we retire, we're going to pray five times a day, or, you know, belief in Allah Subhana widad is going to be super, super tight. Right? We're going to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu, I do some really well, we're going to make sure that we start paying our zuca we're going to try and go for hygiene and old age where we're barely able to make it through, right, we're going to what else? What else what else, we're gonna make sure that we fast throughout the month of Ramadan, you reach that age where Subhanallah

you think you're going to do all these things, but that's where you're now starting to slow down. Right. And, sadly, as Muslims, you know, we delay sometimes delay everything in our lives because we say tomorrow, I'm going to do this. Tomorrow, I'm going to read this page of the Quran. Tomorrow, I'm going to give sadaqa tomorrow, I'm going to give you know, as a cow, tomorrow, I'm going to help someone tomorrow I'm going to contact this person to dig a well in a country for water. You know how I was talking to a brother today? Earlier today. And he was telling me

to dig a well. And he thought to himself, he's like, you know, what I should do is instead of having my brother dig one, well, at a time, you know, get,

he says I'll pay for one well and get four other people that way, we could put four wells in each corner of the village right on the outskirts of the village, and then put one in the middle. Because what happens, he said is that when you dig one, well, that one well gets overloaded, everyone from the village and all the neighboring villages, they come to that village to benefit from the water. And then somehow it's just overloaded in too much. And then sometimes, you know, the motor or the pump breaks and so on. So he was saying he's like, strategically, we should, we should dig for wells, right. And then one in the center of the village. So the one in the center of the village,

the people who live in the in the major part of the village, they can go and use. And then anyone who's on the outskirts, they can go to the outside and anyone who comes from the neighboring village, well, they can just go to the wells that are close to them. So you're not overloading that one well, and he's like, how am I gonna get four people to dig this? Well, well look, the planet of Allah subhanho wa Taala, right. I'm gonna love Allah to strategy. Don't rush it. It's already written from Allah subhana wa Tada. The brother was telling me this this morning.

There has to be that element of you don't know when you're going to leave this world. So work hard at it all the time. Work hard at it all the time. Don't rush it. And that's why he says, Will you not then be mindful? Like, don't you think affiliated or current? Once you think

of yourself as a creation, you need to submit to the Creator. And then Allah Subhana, Allah says, what to do.

Oh, and if you tried to count all the blessings of Allah,

because he's our Creator, and he gave us everything he gave us ourselves as well. Right? Our soul was gifted with this body. Every single one of us has a soul. And the soul is what makes our body alive, you remove the soul, the body is dead. So the soul was gifted, or the body was gifted with a soul and the soul is gifted with this body as well. Right? So there's a gift to each other. And without one another, they're done.

The soul will go on and continue to live, the body will not.

And she planted it in some you know, some rocks inside of a like a flower pot a box. And during the Ramadan, what we did is we had to write on these leaves. So she cut out to all these leaves, right, hundreds of leaves out of paper, and we had to every day write down

I think we did five every day. Right?

Five blessings from Allah subhana wa tada that we're thankful of, and then tape them on to the tree all five every single day, each one of us and at the end of Ramadan, it was like this beautiful tree, this dead branch turned into this beautiful, you know, filled with all these leaves, you know, filled with gratitude. Thanks, shook. This year, we're doing the gratitude vine, posted up on Instagram in sha Allah for all of you to see the gratitude vine.

So we have our clock, and then the vines come out of it. And I know some of you are gonna say, Oh, this is awesome business idea. Let's do it right and you'll do it. Go ahead. As long as my wife gets the rewards for it, it's all good. And so every single day we have now one leaf, right and we write down five blessings on the leaf five blessings are written on the leaf every single day. So each one of us has to put five blessings every single day on it. And so the vine was bare, and now it's slowly becoming filled with all these leaves hamdulillah right. That's a way of figuring out how many blessings we have from Allah subhana wa Tada. It's not a matter of counting them, we can never

count them Allah Subhana Allah says what in turn do narrow mithila e letter suha you will never be able to number them. But what we should do as human beings is try to appreciate what Allah Subhana Allah has given to us by sitting and pondering and thinking and

Oh Allah Subhana Allah as a blessing from Allah. Oh, do you know what this thing let me write it down like my skin here is dry and hamdulillah one of the things that we should be thankful for lotion, right to make our skin soft once again. Another thing we are thankful for is you know glasses to see for those of you who need to see them and for me I'm wearing them to protect my eyes so they don't become weak right from all the blue light that's in front of me from all the devices. You know another thing that we're thankful for is light and colors. Look at the color Subhanallah have like the purple light shining down on me today. And we can have all different kinds of colors.

We can have red, we can have white, we can have blue, you know purple, orange,

different shades, all these different colors. panela look at how many different colors we can use and

benefit from a loss of handler data. And then you know, we have paper that we use to write on, we have devices that we're streaming on, we have teeth that we use to bite our food with and chew. And we have lips.

To keep the food inside our mouth, right, when we bite the food, we close our lips so that the food doesn't just come spewing out of our mouth. Imagine we didn't have lips. And then we have beards of having the latter not only make us look like stronger men, but to protect us from so many different harms. Right. And then we have what we have noses to breathe from an inside our noses, whether you're a man or you're a woman, Allah put hair there in order to filter the air that passes through, as much as you don't want to accept that it's there. It's there. Right. And then we have our ears that we listen to. And there's you know, hairs to filter but wax to pick up any junk as well and

handler and it comes out and our hair to protect us from the sun. Right, but also to beautify us. And then we have so many things that are lost. How do we dad has granted us right fingers to move to grab things. Imagine if your thumb was placed down here.

Imagine if your hand bent the other way. We would open things this way. We'd be like handling things this way. But no, we do it this way. Handling. All of these things are a blessing from Allah subhanaw taala. Imagine if our arms didn't have elbows, if we didn't have elbows, and we would just be like this all the time. Like, you know, we didn't have elbows. It always just be like this. We couldn't bend our arms, right? Imagine if we didn't have elbows.

How it would be maddening. We didn't have a wrist to go like this. Right? How would life be these are just blessings of us on ourselves, the trees and the plants and the oxygen and the air and the animals and the food and the tastes and the flavors and the you know the sun and the moon and the stars in the night and the day in this panel of the heat in the cold and the rain in the snow and the glass that we have the protectors we can see outside imagine we didn't have glass and all our walls were just cement and you couldn't see in or out it was like jail. How would life be? These are all blessings from Allah subhanho wa Taala had right? Write them down, not writing them down because

you want to try and tabulate them write them down because you want to be thankful to Allah subhana wa tada and every single time you recognize one of the blessings of Allah subhanaw taala upon us, what do we do?

We are thankful to Allah surely Allah is all forgiving, Most Merciful are thankful to Allah subhana wa tada for blessing us with all these awesome blessings.

And of course, we could go on and on and on. But we don't have any more time in sha Allah have to add that we'll have to keep the rest of this surah for next year. Because we'll go over a bit the rest of this juice, which goes right to the end of the surah and then we'll start the 15 jewels tomorrow and shout Allahu Allah, just like on the local Hayden for attending. Okay, so tomorrow, I'll be saying, today's the 15th day and the first half of Ramadan is gone. Now we begin the last half, right? So some have Allah and then just in five more days, we'll be saying it's the last 10 nights of Ramadan. Allahu Akbar. Just that quick, it comes in and goes.

The only time when I'm alone really seems like it takes long is at the time of Soho when you wake up and you're like, This is hard. Right? Now la Subhana Allah accept from everyone does that come along with heaven for attending barakallahu li comm for sticking around so long? Allah subhanho wa Taala continue to increase all of us in knowledge that is beneficial and allow us to implement it in our lives and accept us into the highest levels of paradise. meaning out of that, I mean,

So hamdulillah that's, you know, that's very good to see. So many people taking part in it.
