We see in you know, stories about it, the Sahaba were like, you know, beating the Duff and encouraging each other to keep digging and keep, you know, working hard to build the trench. And for the Sahaba of the lower abdomen, but the machete coup and the

you know, the the non Muslims, they were large in number, and the Muslims, were starting to dwindle in number because the one ethnic one, right, the hypocrites they were discouraging, the Muslims are saying, Listen, if they're coming to attack us here, and we need to flee like, this is really dangerous. What's happening right now, this is not a normal battle where, you know, the two parties go out away from their cities, and they, they they basically get it out in the middle of nowhere, and the cities and towns are left untouched. This was like, you know, our city is coming to be attacked. And so the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, you know, he buckled down, he continued to

encourage the Sahaba of the llama unknown. We know the famous story of like a rock that was there,

or a big boulder and the profits in the long run even sent him struck it three times with his sword and cracked it. You know, all of these things have miracles from a lesson handling with data. But what happens there is that this trench is built and heavy, heavy winds came. So when the machete wound, they got closer to Medina, they didn't actually attack because they were faced with this trench. And then we're not going to jump into the trench because the trench means there's archers that are waiting and they're just going to launch arrows over and that's the end of it. Like you get stuck in this trench, you can't come out, you're done. And so why would anyone put themselves in a

bottleneck? That's basically like, the logic behind it. It's a bottleneck. You get in there, you're gonna be stuck. You can't get out and you know, it's dangerous. So he quit.

You know, had this, this trench dug, and it worked very well because it protected as a border between two mountains, stopping the machine cone from coming into the city of Medina to Manila.

And a loss of bandwidth and then sent very heavy winds. So everyone was huddled inside of their tents, and they just couldn't come out because the wind was so strong, and it kept getting stronger and stronger and stronger, and it was blowing everything away, it blew their provisions away, it blew the, you know, many of the tents away, so the moose, raccoon, the non Muslims, they were having a really difficult time just holding the grounds and staying where they were, where eventually they got very discouraged, and they decided, you know, what, we're just going to fleet, this is pointless, this isn't going to happen. And it was a bad decision, bad timing, nothing worked in

their favor, and they ended up leaving without actually having that battle take place. So that's, you know, something really interesting there that we've learned from this. This story, you know, the hypocrites had a very strong impact upon many people of the city of Medina. And that's where, you know, we see that there were, there was division amongst certain people,

those who pretended that they believed in a loss of bandwidth and pretended that they were in accordance with the profits of the law where it was them being the last and final messenger, but they actually weren't and they were basically causing trouble and issues internally. And this was one of the times that that actually affected them. You know, a decent amount, we move on then Allah subhana wa tada shows us in verses number 2829. In fact, even before that, he's basically talking to the wives of the prophets. And the longer it he was ended up, giving them you know, advice or giving advice to the prophets along I need to send him about his wives.

And I must have handled to Allah says, You're in verse number.

Where we turn the page, verse number 28, Allah subhana wa tada says, oh, Prophet, see to your wife, if you desire the life of this world, and it's luxury, then come, I will give you a compensation, as in I will divorce you and give you a composite in compensation, and let you go graciously. But if you desire Allah and His messenger and the everlasting home, in the hereafter jamna, then surely Allah has prepared a great reward for those of you who do good. Now, this is advice to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam his wives,

because they, you know, being married to the Prophet so long that even someone who's not like being married to other people, right, you're married to the leader of the oma, you're married to a messenger of Allah Subhana, WA, Tada.

You're married to, you know, the prophets of Allah subhanho wa Taala, as well. And it's extremely difficult to go through what he's going to put you through, right, he will put himself through a lot of hardship. And that's because he was showing a good example to others, he would also put himself through hardship, because

it, it's only befitting for a leader to be the one who goes through the hardships more than everyone else. And that's because you need to lead by example, I was talking about this yesterday, I believe, right, we need to lead by example, we have to be people that show others the right way. And anyone who's in a position of leadership will need to basically take a hit for it. For example, you know, anyone who owns a company right now, or owns a business, you know, their employees may not be coming in whether they're getting paid or not, I don't know, that's not part of the example. But the point there is that if you own a business, you're probably going to be showing up at your business, even

though your employees are not showing up. Right, you're going to be there because it's your business, you have a vested interest in it. And you need to look after certain things that your employees don't you need to pay bills, you need to feed, you know, families, you need to make sure things go right. And so that's absolutely important, you know, for a leader to lead by example. So the profits in the long run either usnm is told by a loss of hanway data to tell his wives

to tell his wives if you desire,

this life and the luxuries of this life, then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Will you know divorce you and give you some sort of compensation for it right? And you can live your life enjoying this, you know, the luxuries and whatever you get from this life, or if you're ready to put up with the sacrifice of being the wife of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and going through certain hardships and you know sacrificing not having him around for days on end months on end sometimes then this middle get ready because it's going to be a rough ride but the reward is great. Almost a penalty to add it then shows them in the next few verses. We're not going to take all of them you

know the their punishment if they do wrong is doubled. Right? Not like forever

Our punishment is singled but they're done, their punishment is doubled. Right? And so Allah Subhana, which Allah lets them know that look, you are living a different kind of lifestyle. You are someone who's linked to the Messenger of Allah

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you need to be in that position. Understanding that life is not going to be easy. It's not going to be simple. It's not going to be the same as everyone else. When the profits on the long run, I think he was someone was asked from people for certain things, he gave it to them, someone came in complimented his clothing that he was wearing. And he went in, he borrowed clothing, and he gave his clothing away. And then he had no clothing to wear, he was wearing borrowed clothing. Can you imagine, none of us would do that we wouldn't go and borrow clothing, to give away our clothing to others, we would buy new clothing and give away the old stuff. But the

Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam would give away the new stuff, give away the things that he got that he loved, and he cherished, or was recently given to him, because someone else wanted it or someone else needed it. And so that's an example of how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sacrifices are different than those of you and I,

he then says, Allah Subhana, Allah, you know, gives more and more advice to the wives of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam as to how they are to be, you know, they they are not to, you know, try to change their their voices or speak in a way that is inviting others, you know, or speak in a way that is maybe seducing they are not supposed to have a beverage, no flirtatious walking, you know, they're too, they are to basically be an example as well, if you're going to be married to the Prophet sallallahu, I need to send them and he's a leader and he has to, he has to lead by example, you are also going to have to lead by example. And this is why we see that many of the Hadith that

have been narrated to us came from actually the wives of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, his family members, his close friends, because they spent a lot of time around him. And you need to be a person of honor to be entrusted with that. And Allah subhana wa Tada, let them know this. And if you're ready for the ride, this will love because lots of people are going to learn about you and your life. Imagine all of the privacy of the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam were supposed to keep our private life private, right, but certain things that are even intimate within the life of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam were made public to you and I, so we know about it.

Because that's how that's how we are to learn, right? And so lots of Henry to animate it such that the wives of the Prophet salallahu alayhi, wasallam, were conveyors of the deen as well as in they also taught us about the deen in certain ways that we would have never have known of, but because they were around the Prophet sallallahu. And he was send them so often, especially at times when he was at home in the privacy of his home, or you know, intimate relations with his family, we got to learn about those things, and how we are to behave or how we are not to behave with our spouse and family, and so on and so forth. And so that's a great honor to the wives of the Prophet sallallahu

alayhi wa sallam.

But it teaches us a few things, my brothers and sisters, that we look towards them, for example, as well, right? We look towards them, for example, we look to the Prophet sallallahu, I didn't know send him how he dealt with his wives, how he lived with them, and what they tell us of what happened within the household of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam. We then see in verse number 40, Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us that the prophets on the one where it was Sunday, Mohammed is not the father of any men. Right? So there is no men out there that can say I'm the son of Mohammed, and I'm going to inherit his prophethood No, Allah made it such that none of his children who were boys

survived to become a men right, survive long enough to become a men.

So Allah says Mohammed is not the father of any of your men, but is the Messenger of Allah and the CEO of prophets. And a law has perfect knowledge of all things. He then says, Yeah, you're Latina, urbanos Guru.

Right? And so so Pamela is it's very admirable. It's something absolutely nice and beautiful. And we need to be doing this Allah Subhana Allah says,

Yeah, and you handed in a medal with Kuru law has the Quran kathira remember Allah always so you might be seeing some hon Allah will be handy, he somehow Allah hit him, or a stone field law, when you're doing is still fun, you're actually remembering a lot. It's a type of ticket. It's a type of remembrance of Allah, you're asking Allah Subhana Allah for forgiveness. Simple things that we can say. absolutely important to be busy in the remembrance of Allah subhana wa tada was somebody who could attend what else leader, my brothers and sisters, one of the best ways to seek protection from the evils that are out there is to remember Allah subhanho wa Taala in the morning in the evening, okay, the morning in the evening is absolutely important. The other thing we see is that the changing of the guards, right, the changing of the angels happens in the morning and in the evening, as well. So we need to be people that are conscious that look when our book of deeds is opened, and the angels start writing in it. And then the next shift comes in

turns the page, right? That shift begins with, oh, God was busy in the remembrance of Allah. And when they're about to change shifts, again, at the bottom of the last page, write down who's busy in the remembrance of Allah and then they turn the page and the next page begins with doubt is busy in the remembrance of Allah. All right. So some how to love if we are to have that constantly in our lives, where we are seeking out, you know, remembrance of Allah subhanho Medina and trying to make it such that we are busy in his remembrance will have multiple times where the day and the evening starts and ends with the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

We also see my brothers and sisters, the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that if a person preys on Aisha in JAMA, right, basically in the mustard in congregation, and pre selected photo in the mustard in congregation, they get the reward of praying the entire net, as in having done any better the whole night, right. It's as though they stood in every bed in theater all night long. Now, of course, the massages are closed, and we don't have that luxury. We don't have that freedom to do that now. But of course, we may have intended to do that. So a friend of mine messaged me yesterday, and he was asking, you know, usually during the last 10 nights, I make it a point that

I'm going to play a show, of course, almost all of us are praying as shown in the masjid during Ramadan, but to also go back to the mustard for selective budget, and to be there for budget, why his intention is, I need to sleep I need to go to work, but I want to seek out the reward as well. So I want to do a little bit extra. So he forces themselves to go to the masjid for fun job during the month of Ramadan, in particular, like during the last 10 nights, because he knows that he'll get the reward of being awakened every bed all night long. And so he was asking me, I usually do that, but this year, I can't do it. Should I make intention for it so that Allah can bless me, and it was

reminding him, there's another Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam that mentions, when a person is constantly doing something, as in, they are busy in a bed on a regular basis, they've made a type of very bad habit for themselves in their lives. And this point in time in their life comes with they're not able to actually fulfill that either or undo that action. A loss of Hannah Montana still blesses them with it, even though they're not able to go about doing it. And I feel that that's very important for our time that's relevant right now.

Even though it may be referring more to old age, because we are you know, we're young, we're full of energy, you know, we may be able to go and we want to go to the mustard, but we're not able to do that. Right. And you notice last night I live stream from the mustard but today I'm back in my house, because I'm trying to make sure that I lead by example, as well. And I don't just go and say you know what, I have access to the mustard handler. I was there today because that's the place I work from. So some of you go into work. I go into work, my workplaces, the mustard and hamdulillah Sorry, I mean, you could have chose that.

Could have chose that profession too.

But the money isn't that great. So don't really you know, don't take that lightly.

change if you're not able to make that sacrifice, right, but some kind of light, you know, you get to go into the list if you go in and have the love, but at the times when the community is not able to go, I try to stay away as well. I could go in for Juma. Right. But I don't go in for July 1 of all we don't have a congregation. We don't have people there. And I choose not to I've personally chosen not to. And I walked away from that position when our Massoud was making that decision. Why? Because I want to make sure that when we lead we lead by example. And a good leader has to feel what the people are feeling. Right? a good leader has to feel what the people are feeling. And if I'm not

feeling that the hurt and the pain of not being able to go into the mustard like you all are feeling as well, then how am I going to effectively be able to communicate with you and understand you. In order for me to understand what you're going through, I have to also make those sacrifices. And that's what we see in the life of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as well.

So we a law tells us to glorify Him morning and evening. We then move on.

Verse number 53, shows us the etiquettes of entering and spending time in the house of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Of course, we're not going to be doing that, right. We're not going into the house of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we're not going and visiting him having dinner at his home. But look at some of the things that Allah Subhana Allah shows us here.

He says in verse number 53 of Sudoku, he says all believers do not enter the homes of the Prophet without permission. And if you're invited for a meal, right, so do not enter without permission for a meal, okay? Do not come too early, and linger until the meal is ready. So don't come early, and just sit there and wait and waste time.

But if you're invited, then enter as an enter on time, you were invited for six o'clock, then come for six o'clock don't come for five, right five o'clock. Someone might be scrambling to clean the house too.

But if you are invited, then enter on time. Once you have eaten, then go on your way and do not stay for casual talk.

Such behavior is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is never shy of the truth. And when you as in the believers, ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is more pure for your hearts and for theirs. And it is not right for you to annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major offense in the sight of a lot. Why am I mentioning this the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam passed away his wife passed away. We are not going and visiting his home. We are not, you know, sitting inside his house and eating dinner. Why am I mentioning this? I'll tell you.

We learn the etiquette of visiting someone. Right the etiquette of visiting someone and spending time with them. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when he would invite people over to his home, he would prefer that they came on time and alone knew that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would never ever make people feel uncomfortable. If someone asked him for something, he would never say no. And so if people were coming to his home and sitting down having dinner and then chatting Afterwards, he wouldn't kick them out, he would entertain them and be as nice a guest as possible. But now it's on the invited guests to treat their hosts with respect. And you see this

sometimes you go to someone's house, and you're invited. And the invitation may have been specific, you're invited over for dinner between six and 8pm.

So come for six and leave by eight. And at 930. We're still chilling in that person's house, or we're still having coffee or something like that, you know, just talking and so on. That person may have had somewhere to go and they're too shy, too embarrassed to actually ask us to leave. And so my brothers and sisters, it's important for us to respect the invitation that is given to us now, if someone is fine with it, and they're telling you No, no, it's fine. It's okay chill, like we were gonna go somewhere but we're fine. We're okay. Or they say come and you can stay as long as you want, then that's fine. But remember my brothers and sisters, the longer that we spend chatting and

talking, sometimes we end up getting into things that are wrong. So make sure that when we are spending time with friends and family, that we are not getting into anything that is home or impermissible backbiting and so on and so forth. ask Allah Subhana which added to protect all of us. So once you've eaten them, go on your way Allah Subhana Allah says that right those who come and visit the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam leave after you're done eating, don't stay and spend time Don't be like okay, where's the pull up, gentlemen? Where's the Buffy? Where's the ladoos? Where's the jump, jump? Where's the Chai? right towards the flower. Where's the mango shakes? Right

Cake, right? Where's all that stuff. And so it's important for us to acknowledge the fact that the person who invited us also needs their time to themselves. They invited us for a certain time or between a certain time and hamdulillah. Someone says, come over to my house for lunch, and you come for lunch, and it's summertime now and you're still at their house, maybe there's a problem. Unless, you know, there's a really good relationship with that person. That's a completely different story. We asked her about some headwinds added to strengthen our relationships with our friends and family. I mean,

then in verse number 70, and 71, Allah Subhana, which Allah gives us advice to speak the truth, or in fact, the command Yeah, you're living in a terminal. who and whoever obeys Allah, His Messenger has truly achieved a great victory for God,

Ronaldo, is Ronaldo, right? He kicks the ball and it goes right into the goal. And then you hear you're the announcer Oh, well, if you're watching in an Arab country, all you're going to hear is that

he scored. The goal is victory. Alhamdulillah. That's great. Right? And loss of habitat is showing us victory is for us. If we speak the truth, speak the truth good, do good deeds, be mindful of Allah Subhana Allah to Allah right? and say what is right, Allah Subhana which Allah will give us the ultimate victory in the hereafter.

Let's move on to the next one. Surah Sabah, which is known as Shiva, right? This place there was a queen who live there. We spoke about it very briefly yesterday, I believe it was yesterday in the story of Solomon or the day before.

But we're going to look at the death of Prophet Solomon, because that's mentioned here last time, it shows us how he passed away. And so they're not an adult, his senem he had some workers of the gym and animals and so on. And they were working for him. They were digging and

profits on a man.

alley, his system. He used to have a staff, right that he would lean on while he was watching them do their work, right. So he was leaning on his staff. And while he was leaning on his staff,

and he was perfectly balanced.

He passed away

and he sent him

but his eyes were open because you know, when someone passes away, their eyes are open. So he was leaning on his stuff. And he passed away. And he was watching his workers.

I'm still alive Alhamdulillah he was watching his workers. And while he was watching his workers and his soul was taken away, his eyes stayed open and the workers from amongst the animals and the jinn. They thought that he was still alive he was still watching them so they continue to work they carried on to work. Allah subhana wa tada shows us here that the ends came over or termites came over and they started to chew away at the bottom of his staff. And so what happens was he was perfectly balanced and then when they chewed away at the bottom of it,

it lost you know, the the balance was no longer centered, and profits so they met his son and fell over. And that's when they finally realized oh, he passed away. He's not even alive. He passed away.

There's a reason why this is so important. My brothers and sisters this story is so important because

Allah subhana wa tada is showing us that the jinn do not have the knowledge of the unseen. that knowledge is with Allah Subhana Allah alone. And so the jinn they do not know the knowledge of the unseen, okay? Allah subhanho wa Taala

keeps that knowledge to himself. And he's making it a point here showing us indicating to us that the jinn don't know this, right? And the example there is that it had they known

the knowledge of the unseen had they known knowledge that us humans and some of the animals don't know of, or the animals don't know, have, they would have known that profits on a learn Allah has sent him had passed away, and they would have stopped their work. Right, but because they don't know, they continue to work and so a lot prove something to us there and a simple example, and I thought I would share that with us. Because a lot of people think that the jinn have knowledge of the unseen, but they don't write they don't that knowledge is reserved only for Allah subhana wa Tana and whoever he shares it with amongst the angels to carry out certain, you know, tasks and so

on. We move on, verse number 15.

In the very next verse, Allah Subhana, with Anna says, indeed, there was a sign for the tribe of Shiva in their homeland, to orchard so he tells us about the people of Sabah and what they used to do they used to worship, as we mentioned yesterday, seven stars, or seven planets I should say, was it stars or planets?

And you know how we have freshwater and saltwater.

And from amongst the freshwater and saltwater on Earth, forgive me, I need to plug in my laptop battery's gonna die. I charge it multiple times a day now with working from home, and the battery is getting weak.

I hate doing this stuff while teaching, but it just it is the nature of the times that we're living in. And so traveling is nice and traveling with someone is good because you share good times and you build a bond and you you know you build friendships that you'll always cherish for the rest of your life. There are some, sometimes they're here sometimes do there, it's, you know, it's okay. They're doing good and hamdulillah right there like

the law, they're doing well. And then he says, and some are foremost in good deeds, bylaws will, that is truly the greatest bounty. Right? So from amongst the believers, you're not going to have someone who believes in Hamas, they're never going to commit a sin. And this is why when people say, Oh, look, Muslims have done this, well, wait a second, that person may claim to be a Muslim. But just because they do, it doesn't mean that we are all that way. We have some people that are very good Muslims who will not go and harm others and do things. And then we have others that will say that they're Muslim, but still do things that they shouldn't be doing. Right. So there are all

different kinds of people out there who do different things. And it was apparently data shows us even from amongst the believers, we will have those who do extremely well. And then we have those who are in the middle. And then we have those who

may have lost some hand with added strength and all of us and bring us closer to him. I mean, we move to Surah Yaseen

in Surah, Yaseen Allah subhana wa tada is showing us here at the very beginning, from verses number one to seven that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was sent as a messenger to warn those that we're doing wrong, right. Seeking any you know favors from you, all they're doing is giving you good advice. That is sound proper, you know authentic advice coming from a law, a message for you take it, why are you rejecting it? And he says, follow those who asked no reward of you and are rightly guided? And why should I not worship the one who has originated me, and to whom you will be returned? How could I take besides him other gods whose intercession would not be of any benefit to me? nor could they save me if the most compassionate Indeed, the most the most compassionate intended to harm me?

Indeed, I would then be clear the astray as an I'm the last. And I do believe in your Lord, so listen to me. So he's warning his people. Look, I'm from you. I follow what you follow, right? We believe in the same Lord. But you need to listen to these messengers. They're telling us to behave properly and to let go of the ways of the people of the past, but they killed him.

Then he was told by the angels enter into paradise, as in you will enter Paradise. And he said, If only my people knew

of how my lord has forgiven me, and made me one of the honorable will suffice with that for today.
