The activity that we go most to while we are awake, would be these activities working for a living studying, so that we can work for a living or working at home.
More than praying more than fasting.
This is what we do for most of our lives.
And the question that we want to ask ourselves is such a significant portion of our life?
can it help us with Allah? subhanho? wa Taala? And does it? does it bring us closer to Allah subhana wa tada? Will it help us enter heaven? Or will it be irrelevant when we think about heaven and hell? Or worse off? Can it even take us through there away from Allah subhana wa tada and his mercy.
So this type of activity working for a living? Does it help? Does it matter? Or does it hinder? Which one of them?
And to answer this question, we're going to be seeking guidance from a Hadith of the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and I want you brothers and sisters to listen carefully to it. And this hadith is telling us that when you link these actions to Allah subhanho wa Taala I'm supporting these kids and these parents and that spouse, because Allah loves that from me.

When you have that intention that Allah Subhana Allah will reward you for every hour and every minute that you're spending working for a living.
And let's add a third intention.
What is that third intention giving? sadaqa?
Is that an intention? Yes, it's an intention.
So why sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says

What What do they appreciate it or not? What are they going to promote you for it or not? Whether they deserve it or not? You will do your best because you're dealing with a
lot you're not dealing with other human beings. So the quality will increase and then your happiness with what you're doing will increase because it has a meaning Now, a lot of us let's be honest, we feel sometimes that a lot of times that we trapped in our professions trapped in our jobs. That's not what I like to do. I have to do it. I have to feed myself and families and what have you. I'm sick

If I'm at home, I'm trying to be closer to Allah through whatever is it that whatever is at home, when I come to the masjid, I tried to be closer to Allah subhanaw taala through the activities in the masjid. And all of these things, feed each other, they don't cancel each other.
What we sometimes suffer from brothers and sisters is the contradiction in our lives. We act in the masjid, with other Muslims, pious, one way, outside the masjid, at our work in our homes with other friends differently. These are the contradictions This is a clash to want to create a more harmonious homogeneous type of Islam, where you're always worried about Allah subhana wa tada and what he wants and what he hates. So when you start doing that, that action which is working for a living your professional life, your academic life, your work at home, becomes part and an extension of the masjid and in the midst it becomes an extension of it. And it becomes something that you will

And that is the intention that is a corrupt intention. And a corrupt intention leads to corrupt act and to corrupt life and to corrupt and.
And we see that a lot of time we boast with our titles, this is my title and you don't have it.
We both with our houses, I have the bigger house, and you have the smaller house. And if you're gonna buy a house, as big as mine, I will sell mine and buy a bigger house because I'm better than you.
This is not fantasy, this happens on my car that I'm gonna buy, I'm gonna buy it because it's status, it's going to tell everybody who I am and how much I earn.
And if somebody else is going to buy that, I'm going to buy something that is more expensive,
and so on my shoes are going to tell people who I am, and my dress is going to cost $1,000, I could have, you know, I could have been satisfied with $100 $200 dress, but $1,000 that will make people's next turn that will make people's head turn and admire me. That is the idea and kibra and arrogance.

all of that is against you on the Day of Judgment, what are you going to do, you have not prayed as many hours as you have worked, you have not started as many hours as you have worked, you have not done too hard, you have not done anything, me and you as many hours as we have worked. So to find it on the book, of your wicked deeds, rather than the book of your good deeds, is the misery.
Someone might say and ask, Does this mean that we're not allowed to buy nice things for ourselves.
And that's not the case. You can buy nice things for yourself and for your family and for your friends. As long as you avoid three things.
First of all, you don't overspend, you don't excessively spend on that thing, that you reach the level of a slog.
Because Allah will then ask you are you going to spend 100 or $200 on this, why the 2000
that is excessive.
Especially that you hear every day of people pleading with you give $1 or two for this destitute area. And you become very miser when it comes to giving to other people and very generous when you are spending on these brand names.

The last thing that you have to avoid that you may set out to

So brothers and sisters, let us emphasize before we leave, why are you working for a living? Why are you taking care of your family and kids? Why are you studying? Do you have an intention? Ask yourself and if you have an intention is this an intention that will bring you closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala and into heaven and or an intention that will take you away from both of
And it's really beautiful, to meet Allah subhanho wa Taala and you find that you spent most of your life in Allah as worship not only inside the masjid, but also as soon as you step outside of the masjid, and in your workplace and wherever you may be, you are Abdullah. So be Abdullah wherever you may be and help wherever you may be and through that means that Allah subhanho wa Taala has given to you and expect immense reward from Allah subhanho wa Taala because your Lord is shackled with thankful. So we ask Allah subhana wa Taala Allah correct our intentions for us, your lawmakers of those who work for your sake, and study for your sake and take care of your for their families for
your state or law correct our intention for us all I give us a good, sincere intention or like give us a good and a sincere intention in this life. Our lie give us a good and a sincere intention in this life. Allah help us to do the things that will bring us closer to Allah help us to do the things that will bring us closer to you. ie Allah help us to do the things that will bring us closer to you and to you and to avoid the things that will take us further away from you.
