And so they went back to Abu Bakr and they complained about Omar and Omar came with them as well. They said you want the relief of the Muslims. And you told us we could take this one. This man Omar, who's not a believer now says that we can't. So Abu Bakr said, if he says no, then it's a no.
If Omar says no, it's a no. So they said to him, who's the halifa you owe him? And Abu Bakr said, By Allah, how do you want to be halifa he could have been so happy he wanted to be halifa he could have been so because when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died, and Abu Bakr came along with Abu Zubaydah and Omar to the answer, and he was speaking about the halifa Abu Bakr said, choose one of these two men to be your halifa either Omar, Abu Zubaydah. soboba, is saying if he wanted to be the halifa, he could have stepped up and said, Yes, I'll be the halifa and he would have become the Khalifa. But instead, Omar said no, there is no one more worthy than Abu Bakar. And then the Muslims

But I wanted to show the Muslims that they shouldn't think that the reading from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is something which is a joke, that anyone can just come and see what they like. But I would hold them to account if they didn't do it properly. If they didn't report authentically from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. This was how Romano the Allahu anhu was, but even though this was the way that he was, he will still a man known for his piety,
known for his fear of Allah subhanho wa Taala, known for his abstinence from the dunya, known for his humbleness and his humility. He was walking once with Saudi Arabia walk past the unlock one, another famous companion, one of the 10 that was promised paradise. They were working on an old woman came. And she said to Omar, Omar, you haven't given me my rights. And she began to complain to him. And he began to cry and cry until he was crying profusely. And the woman continued, even though her
mother is crying in front of her, she continued, and so sad to be what was said to the woman Enough, enough, don't you see what you've done to him? So it's only fitting that I should hear them upon the this was, how humble he was, that an old woman could approach him and chastise him and rebuke him publicly, and he would stand there and he would take it. Omar, the great man, the warrior, the courageous, the brave man, the one that everyone else would be scared of his wife was speaking so loudly that he could hear a voice outside the house.
And so he left and he turned away. And one of the Allahu saw him leaving, he said, Where are you going? Why did you come? He said, Oh, amuro meanie and I had an issue that's been resolved.
He said, What's your issue? How was it resolved? He said, I came to complain about my wife, speaking to me in an improper way. But I came to your house and I find that your wife does the same thing. So I thought to myself, if this is the wife of the leader of the Muslims than more about me, and so I'm gonna do a lot more and you smiled. And he said to him, that she cooks my food, she washes my clothes, and she helps me with my affairs. So I am patient in this affair.
Look at the measure of this man rhodiola one, even with this harsh, tough personality, that others would see him and they would become scared as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that even shavon Satan when he sees him walking down the road, he takes another road trip and is afraid of him. But with his own wife, he has this type of character. This is the way that he deals with his wife radi Allahu Allahu Akbar. There are many generations, many stories, many incidents like this that showed the life of Monrovia long run. And it was difficult to enumerate them even into a whole conference about this man, even into a series of lectures and conferences, because there is so much
to speak about and what he did and how he was not the Allahu Allahu Akbar. But I want to mention to you, the time towards the end of his life, what are the long run around the year 23. He Amaro, the Allahu anhu saw that the Muslims had conquered many lands, and many of them are some of them had become attached to materialism. And the Muslims had become very wealthy, and he didn't like the way that the Muslims are responding. And so he became upset. And so he went one year for Hajj, the 23rd year of the hedgerow he went for Hajj, and he made to Allah subhana wa Taala daruwalla I have become weak, and I have become old and no longer Am I able to lead this community of Muslims. So Allah
allowed me to die, take my soul away and allow me to be martyred within the city of Medina. Some of the companions when they heard his duality said, Medina is a Muslim of citizens Muslim land, how will you be martyred? There's no fighting. There's no battles there. There's no war there. How can you be martyred in the middle of the capital of the Muslim world?

And so today, Omar, you will go back to two companions, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and Abu Bakar on the long run. This, I wouldn't say is the biography of Rama, because it's not the biography. But it is a glimpse at the life of this great individual over the long run. And it is really the duty of every single Muslim, to go back and to look at his life,
to read and study his biography. Because there are so many things that we should know from his life. And he is one of the foremost role models that we as Muslims should have. But we as Muslims should also be giving to our wives and our children and to our community. But the problem is because we don't know about his life, we can't take him as a role model. And this is where we, collectively as Muslims are falling short. It is our duty to go back and to look at his life to benefit from that life to take lessons from him for the long run and the life that he had. And then to see where we as a community and as Muslims are falling short and going wrong. May Allah subhanho wa Taala allow us
to go back to the Sunnah of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam implemented according to the understanding of the companions of the Allahu anhu and may He resurrected
