sallallahu wasallam mobarak Allah Nabina Muhammad Ali he was talking VH marine Amoeba.
If I can ask the brothers Sharla who are not going to stay for the lecture if they can please quieten down and make their way outside of the masjid our topic this evening Charlotte Allah is on the subject of desiring the hereafter desiring the hero. And I want to base it around three verses of the Quran in which Allah subhanaw taala speaks directly about this topic. And there are verses 1819 and 20 of sorbitol israa.
In these three verses Allah subhanaw taala says, are the Billahi min ash shaytani r Rajim and Cana Yuri dolla g lotta agenda houfy homina Shakuni Maria Medina who Johanna masala Hamad Mohammed hora woman Pirata Vasa hassayampa yahama min for hula, can you miss Cora Kula Noemi de la ilaha illa minako Arabic wa Tanaka, Rebecca Mahara in these three verses Allah subhanaw taala speaks about this topic and this issue of designing the hereafter. And he says subhana wa Taala in the first verse, verse number 18, Montana you read the Nigeria whosoever wishes for the life of this world, and a larger one shall describes it as being Agila. And that means the heastie life to short term life the
temporary abode the instant the life of instant gratification. Montana, Yulia De La Jolla, jendela houfy hi Manisha Lima, Nadine Alonso Joel says then for those people who want that heastie life that temporary life we will hasten for them for those from those who we will we will hasten for them back which they want the Madonna who Johanna masala Hamad Mohammed hora and then we will make for them the rowboat in the fire of *, and they will be demeaned and belittled therein. And then a large social says woman or other era press for those who wish for the hereafter was Yahuwah woman and they strive to attain it and they follow its path most in the state of Eman and belief. For Ola Katana
sell your home mascara. Then there is those people whose efforts will be rewarded. Kula Nomi do hula, hula illuminata Arabic, each one of them will be provided for both camps this and then they will be given from the provisions of their Lord. One Americana aka or have become
an alarm soldier says that he does not prevent His provision from his creation. These three verses in Surah Tillis rowdy speak about this topic of desiring the hereafter. And I want to go and break down these three verses and speak about them in some detail and analyze them. Allah subhanaw taala begins as he often does, when he is comparing the life of this world and the life of the hereafter. Allah Zola gentlemen, the offer compares the dunya and the era, he often begins with the dunya with the life of this world, because it is the immediate life. It's the temporary abode that we're already on. Something which we can witness is something which we can see, our senses can understand
something that our mind can comprehend. And this is part of human nature, we are more willing to agree to to understand to comply with things which fit within our paradigm of thinking, things which fit into our narrative into our construct imagination, into the way that we perceive things. And so the dunya is something that we see all around us. It's good and it's bad, it's highs and it's lows, its riches, and it's poverty. It is all something that we're familiar with. But Allah subhana wa Tada, he gives to us a principle. And that principle is that it is essentially a choice that we make, that choice is between to the choice of this life, to the choice of the hereafter. And what is
meant by this choice is what is our ultimate goal? Is it to succeed in this life alone. And therefore, that success comes in the forms of success that we also linked to this life, the success of wealth, the success of maybe power or fame, the success of having a good career, whatever it may be, that we think, demean or equate success, then that is the success that we want and strive for, or is our primary goal and ultimate objective, the success of the hereafter the pleasure of Allah subhana wa Tada. So large xojo tells us in this verse that it is a choice man, can you lead to larger whosoever wishes for this life? A lot doesn't say that is forced upon us. Allah subhanaw
taala doesn't say that it's something which he has obligated upon us. It's not something which he forces us to choose. He has
given us the choice, and there are inevitably those people, and they are the majority of the creation of humankind, that they will choose the life of this lone. Man, can you read La Jolla. And then Alonzo widow tells us another important principle. So the first principle is that a law gives us a choice. That is a choice that we and I and you we make. And just because Allah may know what the choice is, or the decision that we will make, or the choice that we will take, it doesn't mean that a large soldier has forced us to make that choice. But it is from the attributes of Allah and from his names that he is all knowing, and all aware and knowledgeable. And therefore a large
soldier knows what we will choose. But it is something which we ultimately make a choice for. And then a large soldier tells us that Allah grants to us our choices, and that choice and the word iraida. The choice that we make, it is ultimately an action of the heart. And that is why when you look at the countless verses, and the numerous Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that speak about choosing right, choosing this world or choosing the Hereafter, it often refers to the issue of intention, what you really want what you strive for within your heart. So it's not just simply a case of, I want the dunya or I want the Hereafter, by my outward actions, by what I show to
other people, but what I pretend that I want, or the loss of panatela is showing to us that it is what is in the heart that matters. And another verse, Allah subhanaw taala says, Man, can you lead us away but dunya during the life of Abu dunya, when whosoever wishes for the rewards of this life, then with the law does he have the rewards of this life and the next life? It is an issue of what you want in the heart, our Prophet Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in that famous Hadith that we've all probably heard of him come across numerous times, the first Hadith in Sahih al Bukhari, and in the 40 hadith of neverwet, and another books of Hadith. In the mallamma lupini yato in the
Maluku de Manoa, every one of us will be judged according to our intention, and every single one of us will have that which we intended, that refers to what is in our hearts, not what we actually show. And that is why in the long run relation of the Hadith, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam whosoever strives or migrates for the sake of Allah, and for the sake of His messenger will have a line His Messenger, and whosoever migrates for the sake of some worldly benefit of to marry or take a woman's hand in marriage, then they will have that which they intended, it always comes down to the heart, the Prophet told us all along, while he was still him concerning those four
people are the examples of those four people, that all of us fit into those four categories of people, each and every single one of us falls into those four categories. And those people are either the one who strives for or who's given by allies given wealth and knowledge, or the person who only has knowledge, or the person who only has wealth, or the person was made the wealth and by the knowledge, each one of them, those who have nothing physical that they can do, they have an errata they have a knee, they have an intention, with which they wish for things with which they hope for things with which they crave things in CV from their heart, and Allah subhanaw taala holds
them to account as the professor Salah mentioned, according to that intention. And then the Hadith the Prophet Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that from amongst the first people that have learned so in general will hold to account on the Day of Judgment, and they will be thrown into the fire of how, or a person who fought in the path of Allah, and the person who was a scholar and a recital or an and a person who was generous, giving charity, extremely giving in his charity, and each one of them will be bought before the last panatela. And each one of them will be told of the many blessings that Allah bestowed upon them. And they will acknowledge those blessings over them. And
then Allah will ask each one of them, what did you do with those blessings. So the one who fought will say that I use my courage of Allah to fight in your path. And the one who gave in charity will say, I used your wealth or will love that you bestowed upon me to give in charity and be generous, help the poor and the needy, and the one who was a reciter of the Quran and was a scholar, he will say, Well, I use the knowledge that you gave me endowed me with, I used it to teach people teach the on iron and learn the Quran and so on and so forth. And to each one of them a larger vision will say, because you have lined as for the one who fought in the path of Allah, Allah will say to him,
You did so so that people will say that you are brave, you're courageous, meaning you wanted the the praise of others showing off wanted their adulation, their praise. And so you got it because that's what people thought. That's what people thought. And that's what they said. So he had that which he desired. And Allah will order him to be thrown into the fire, it will be done, it will be done. So and then the one who was
generous Why did you give in charity or law to serve the people in your path to help the poor and the needy. And again, a law will say cuz up to you have lied, but you did. So most of the people will say that you're generous with Java you carry in your noble, you're generous you're giving. And that's what people said, meaning you got that which you intended, and he will be thrown into the fire. And then the scholar likewise, over lies, so knowledge for your sake and taught for your sake, you lied. Rather you did sort of the people will see he's a scholar, for fame for people's praise for people's respect, and you got it. And then Allah will order that he'd be thrown into the fire
mail large soldier preservers from that these ahaadeeth and there are many others show to us, what a large soldier is saying, that it is not just the outwardly actions, but rather it is what is within the heart. And that is why the words that are often described when, when speaking about wanting and desiring the Hereafter, or the dunya are words like erotica, and words like him in Arabic language, which means to desire from the depths of your heart. It is something which you desire within your heart. So it's no good for one of us just to pretend that we want the hereafter. Our actions, and our words and our statements and our whole life and existence, showed the exact opposite. Allah
subhanaw taala knows what is within the depths of our hearts, as Alonzo just says, but insane wirelend fc de basura el kamar, the Euro, each and every single one of us knows what is within ourselves, we have insight, we have understanding and knowledge about our inner state, even if no one else knows my wife, my children, my parents, my siblings, no one else in the dunya can see within my heart, but I know what is within my heart and alarm soldier knows. Wonderwall Palmer idea, even if you make excuses, even if you verbally state something else, even if your outward appearance shows something else. It is within your heart that you will find the truth of this issue. And that
is why the verses and the Hadith speak about intention and desire. They don't speak about the outward appearance. That is a How do you feel much one on one occasion the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was with his companions in the middle of a battle. And they saw someone was fighting from the Muslim ranks. He's fighting and he's fighting and he's very good in his fighting and so on. And then he's finally cut down. So the people said, Oh Allah, O Messenger of Allah, this man was brave. He's a martyr. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Don't say that, don't say that you don't know. Because you don't know. Only a large soldier knows the reality of a person. out for the
appearance is something which we show to others, but a large soldier knows our inner state. So what is it that we really truly want and desire? That is something which our actions, something which our statement is something which everything that we do our characteristic, our mannerisms, the way that we interact with others. All of this shows the reality of what is already buried deep within our hearts, and kind of unique Arjuna whosoever wants from the life of this world, we will give to him that he wants meaning what this is his ultimate desire. This is the pinnacle of his dreams. This is all that he wants, doesn't care about the hero doesn't care what a large religion has. So by hook or
by crook by Hannover haraam, he will aim and he will crave everything within the dunya he will cheat, he will lie, he will backbiting of slander, he will steal, and all of his desires are to do with the dunya.
And this is the type of person that alarm zildjian is referring to, not those people who want the hereafter but they also take their portion of the dunya because this is something which alarms allowed us to do. A Lost Planet. Allah says Rob w FEMA attack Hello Darrin ophira seek from that which Allah has bestowed upon you the next life, meaning the skills that you have the blessings that Allah gave to you, your intellect, the the abilities that Allah has endowed you with, seek using them the next life, that is always the priority, while attention also genasi becoming adonia. But don't forget also, that you have a portion of this life. That is the balance of Islam. It is the
practical nature of Islam. We don't have in our religion, a concept of monkhood of monasteries of people who shun the world of being hermits and living in caves far away and shutting everything out or not working, not earning a living, not mixing with people. That isn't something which we have in our religion, because a large dogen says Don't forget your portion of this life. This verse is mentioned in the story of qarun. It is mentioned in the context of the story of Barun qarun was from the people of musante. Sarah and qarun was a man who was filthy rich
extremely wealthy, and he was given gold and was given treasures and he was given wealth beyond our wildest imagination. And a large surgeon mentioned this in the Quran wa t now Meanwhile, coluzzii Marina Fatiha, who let her know Obi lost
his treasures was so great that even the keys to his treasure, we used to have to be carried by strong able bodied men, strong man a bodybuilder would have to come just to lift the key that would open the door and the gate to his vast treasures. And that is an alliance that which often does this in the Quran in the way that he uses imagery. And the way that Allah subhanaw taala depicts to us something that we understand, he gives us just the introduction, just the first step, because our imagination can put all of the other pieces together alaris Xhosa doesn't need to describe his treasures, doesn't need to describe his vast wealth, doesn't need to speak about his palaces, and
speak about his gold and silver and so on. He just describes to us the key because you if you have a safe deposit box in your house, in your you know your safe, whatever it is your your your safety box, or whatever it may be where you keep your money or a bank or vault. It is a small key that we use. We don't even need keys now fingerprints and passcode, and so on and so forth. But a room to show his wealth had keys that will mean that was so heavy in their in their value. They themselves are so valuable, that you need a large soldier says Belarusian back to the strong, able bodied men, meaning me and you will have a hard time lifting those keys. These are people who are strong, who
have worked to be able to lift those keys so that we can understand just from that how great his wealth was. And what did he say when he was reminded of a lot in numerology to Allah.
All of this is mine, not from Allah, not from anyone else, no blessings. It's my own hard work, my own graft my own ingenuity, my own time, my own effort and blood and sweat and tears and so on. And that is when a large soldier destroyed him. Allah subhanaw taala destroyed him. Why? Because that was the pinnacle of his dreams. That's what he wanted. That was what is what was within his heart. And he's a man who lives in the time of Musashi Salaam, just as in the time of our profits on the love while he will sell them from the chieftains and the nobles of Quraysh. They were others who had been others who had people in power and so on. But the only existence revolved around the the
reaching the heights of the dunya wanting power, wanting fame, wanting wealth, whatever it may be, that we consider to be success in our world, the standards, that's what they craved for. And so a large religion says, are janella houfy hamana, Shadow Demon naureen. Allah says, we grant people that which they want, that's really what you desire, because sincerity, in any form works. A person who sincerely just wants to dunya but they have that level of sincerity, sincere desire, than a large soldier will give to them a portion of that which they want, they may not all reach the heights of power on, they may not all reach to that, but they will have a portion of that which they
desire. Allah subhanaw taala tells us in the Quran, not only do we have a choice, but that those choices have results. And a large soldier allows people to attain the results that they seek, just like those people who will be punished by the fire. They wanted praise, they wanted adulation, they wanted glory in terms of the dunya and they will given that which they desire.
So las panatela tells us this often, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in the hadith of Abdullah bin Masood rhodiola when he said Mali woman in dunya. What is what do I have with the dunya the example of myself an example of the dunya karate
genre. The example of myself in this life is like the example of a traveller who seeks shade under a tree for a period of time. And this is the reality that aligns the angel brings to us in this verse from Medina Allahu Jana, and then we will throw them into the fire of Han and they will live there in belittled and demeaned, humiliated, the profits on a lower they will sell them in this hadith example of the dunya second example of a traveler, he is turning us the reality of the dunya it is finite, it is temporary, it is small within within even its vast array of beauty and all of the wealth that contains and everything within the dunya is still something insignificant in the sight
of Allah subhana wa Tada. That is what a large xojo tells us. That is the reality of the dunya the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the dunya in the sight of Allah is like the wind is like a mosquito mosquito in the sight of Allah meaning a large soldier doesn't consider the dunya to be anything
We all heard of the Hadith probably that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, that a single believer to die, it is more grave in the sight of Allah than the whole of this dunya to be wiped away. That's the death of one believer is more grave in the sight of Allah than the destruction of this world. Because this world in the sight of Allah means nothing is insignificant to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that is why a large xojo often in the Quran, and the prophets of Allah, where it was sillim in the Sunnah, they remind us of this reality, and it is a difficult reality to remember, because we are so immersed within the dunya. And part of that is true under is natural,
and it's part of our existence, and even our role as Muslims, that we as Muslims, we have to provide for our families, I have to provide for my children, I have to be a part of my community, I have to have time for my body. And for myself and for my children, it is helpful for me to enjoy what a large hotel is made halaal from. So part of that immersion in the dunya. It is part of that which allows origin has made
a part and parcel of our lives, and it's from the halaal. But then what shavon does, he comes and he dips our heads down so deep down into the dunya that we never come up for air. We never remember perspective. We never remember that this life is so temporary and so fragile. As we just saw in the janazah that we just prayed moments ago, the woman that you hear in the next minute, you're gone. Today, I'm healthy. And tomorrow, I go and see the doctor and I find that I have a debilitating illness and disease. Today, I have everything that I could possibly want. And tomorrow some calamity strikes me and my whole demeanor changes. Today I am happy and I'm content. But tomorrow is full of
sadness and worry and anxiety. That is the reality of the dunya. And that's why the scholars used to say for every day of happiness that you get, you'll probably have two or three of sadness. It's the dunya it's full of trials and full of tribulations and full of calamity. And even for those people who don't suffer outward calamity, then within their hearts, you'll find that there's a big hole, no contentment, no peace, no tranquility, no happiness, they live a life of pure anxiety and worry and stress. Because they don't have the tranquility that comes from turning to Allah and worshiping Allah subhana wa, tada, Montana, you lead with Arjuna. So if that is the goal that we want, that's
what we're striving for. That's what we're working towards, then a large region will give it to us, just as he gave it to power on. And he gave it to Pharaoh. And he gave it to Abu Jehan and Abu lahab. And he gave it to me, and I'll explain all of those other people that have come before us. They wanted this dunya that was the goal in whichever form and shape that they wanted it and a large dojo gave it to them. But what they forgot, was that it's limited. Even if you live for 100 years, it is a speck in the lifespan of this world. It's nothing. 100 years is nothing. And those 100 years out of those 100 years, when you take away sleep, and you take away food and you take any work, and
you take away illness and everything else, how much do you actually take from the dunya? Hardly anything. And that's why the dunya is full of problems, full of hardship, and full of difficulty. And that is part and parcel of the life of this dunya. But the beauty of Islam and believing in Allah subhanho wa Taala is we know that it is only temporary. If someone oppresses me in this life, and I have no justice doesn't matter what happens, I go to the police, I go to law, court laws and whatever, and I don't get my rights doesn't happen for whatever reason, I know that there is a greater court that I will stand in front of and agreed to judge that I will stand before inshallah,
and a large xojo will have that type that justice that will deal with all of those problems. When we see people dying in places like Syria and across the world, one of the oppression and injustice that takes place on a daily basis to millions of people. Where will their justice come from? They don't get it in this dunya they've died, they've passed away, their families, their children, wherever, where does it come from? It comes from Allah subhanho wa Taala in the next life. And so a large soldier tells us that it is temporary. And so it is upon us to shift our mindset to remember to have perspective to remember that yes, even though life may be difficult, it is a short time. And when
you know that your life is short, even if it is fraught with difficulty, even if it is full of trials, even if it is full of of calamity and hardship and so on. And so many people's lives are it is nothing It is a small piece of the eternity that a large soldier has promised for those people who seek the next life for those people that Allah describes in the second verse, woman around the era and whosoever wishes and desires for the next life. That's the goal. That is the primary objective.
If that is the vision that they're working towards, and yes, within that goal, they will have a job, they will have a career, they will have family, they will have money, they will go on holiday, they will buy a nice car, all of those things are aligned. So Jen has made halaal. But always they will remember within those trappings of the dunya, that there is a greater goal. They will always prioritize the Lord, a large religion and their religion and their practice of Islam before everything else, because they know that that is the true meaning of Hamelin era, era era desiring the Hereafter, woman or other.
So whosoever wants the next life, that's the goal. That's what they want. And the beauty is as a large surgeon mentioned to us, that when you want the next life, a large xojo gives you this life for free as long as you take both those people only desire this life only take this life, they have no portion of the hereafter. But those people who work towards the next life that is the goal alaric xojo gives it to them, and He will give them this life for free as well meaning it's something which comes in hand. Man can you reduce Ababa dunya during the life of dunya will after life you seek the the rewards of this life than Allah has the rewards of this life in the next life. You go towards
the next life on a large soldier will give you both the Prophet told us sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentality of Allah to hammer home. General Allahu Allahu
wa Jalla Shimla water to dunia wa Hiroshima, Whosoever seeks to have your next life truly, sincerely desires the next life. Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that a large xojo will pave the place contentment within their heart, meaning that they will be happy with the existence in this life. They will be happy contentment, they'll be satisfied with that which aligns the origin has given to them, because they know that it's temporary. They know that it's not something which matters. They know and this is the mistake that was made by people Apollo moon and others. When a large was mentioned to us in Surah tolka, half the story of the man with the two codons right, the
sooner that we read or should be reading every Friday, that story of the man with the two codon Sahib agenda team, the man with the two gardens, what is his mistake when a large soldier gives him blessings and he gives a month and it gives him gardens and fruits and people and so on. his mistake is that he believes that because Allah has given him those blessings in this life, that Allah automatically loves them. Allah loves him. And if Allah loves you, then surely he will give you even more in the next life. And that's what he says in Surah gafe. He says, and if I returned to my Lord, Allah azza wa jal will give me more, he will give me even better. Why? Because I was given me so
much in this life. Surely these blessings mean that Allah loves us. But a large dimensions and it's not the case. Allah gives dystonia to everyone, because it is insignificant, trim worthless, doesn't mind who it gives to because it doesn't mean anything. It's not valuable in the sight of Allah that He would only give it to those people that he loves. It gives it to everything. Why am I mean the button fill out of the Illa Allah Allahu
Allah Mustafa para Hamas toda la says it's not a creature upon the face of this earth, except that a lot provides for it. Right. And if you watch those documentaries, and you listen to what they've discovered in the depths of the ocean, those small, tiny little forms of life that live in the depths of the ocean, but there's no light that penetrates but they live in a lot provides for them they live in, they have sustenance, they have food they live. And a large social provides for them a lot provides for everything on the face of the earth. Does that mean that a large zoo in general is happy with all of that which takes place? And so the mistake that they made was that they thought
that a large soldier loves us so therefore that's why Allah gives us blessings. But Allah subhanaw taala told them that's not true. Most of the prophets of Allah and most of the scholars of Islam and many of the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, were poor, were needy. He didn't have the blessings of the dunya and a large soldier loves them and we know he loves them. But that doesn't mean that a large soldier will give them to the dunya but what Allah did give to them is what the prophets of Salaam said Jarl alone, you know who called me, he will have contentment within his heart. They have contentment, they're satisfied. They're pleased, because they know that they're
working towards the greater goal and ambition and that is pleasing Allah subhana wa Tada. Well, Gemma Allahu Shimla. And in the process of circumcision, Allah will bring all of their affairs together, online will make everything easy for them. Allah will unite for them their offense, their family, their children, their jobs, their careers, their health, everything will come in a way that is pleasing to them, and the dunya will come to them even if it doesn't want to
What to do never hear alima even if he doesn't want to, it will come. And then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, But whosoever wants the life of this world,
Allah will please poverty within the hearts, never find contentment, never find satisfaction, never be happy. But despite all of their wealth, and all of their fame and everything else, they still don't have the most basic thing. And that is happiness. And Allah will make the affairs in disarray. They will find that anything works for them constantly problem after problem difficulty after difficulty, hardship, after hardship, and they will only take from the dunya. He said, that which Allah has already decreed for them. So they will take they don't take anything more. They only take what Allah was going to give to them anyway. And that is why the prophets on the law while he was
selling them said in another Hadith, the whosoever makes all of their affairs, all of their worries and concerns into one, all of your worries and all of your concerns. You merge them together and make them into one. And that is your main concern is that
whosoever does that, then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam than a larger agenda will make the dunya easy for him. Everything will be easy for him. But whosoever takes that central worry, and he splits it. So now he's worried about everything in the dunya does care about the hereafter doesn't even think doesn't even go that far, doesn't care. And they worry so much about the dunya than the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that for such a person, Allah doesn't care, and which rally they are destroyed in the dunya doesn't care much when of those worries and concerns they leave themselves to be destroyed. And that is why it is something which we have to remember that central
issue of perspective wanting the hereafter. Because we often hear Unfortunately, many of our brothers and sisters saying that they're going to practice when they're 60, or 70. They'll pray when they retire. They'll make hugs when they retire. They'll do stuff, and they always delay things. And that's part of human nature, right? We're constantly delaying things and thinking that we have the time because a * gives us that false hope that we will live to 60 or 70, or 80, we have plenty of time. But a large religion tells us that we have no guarantee. And so then I will thinking shifts. And so we're working so hard for the dunya dunya dunya. And we don't think about the hereafter that
for something that's something I worry about after retirement, when I'm 50 6070, then I'll worry about that. I'll put that on the backburner. But at the moment for the first 40 5060 years, All I care about is doing my dunya getting the house setting up my children doing everything else. And so everything that is geared towards myself and my family and my business, it is just about dunya. So our children don't learn their religion, they don't learn to pray, they don't learn to read Quran because we're so preoccupied about dunya, dunya dunya, everything else will wait. And we're preoccupied about gathering money and buying a house and then a second house and then a third house
and getting this car and that car paying off this debt and that loan, and that mortgage and so on and so forth. And that's where 40 5060 years ago, and then if a large decrease that we live, till that age and beyond, then we come to 5060 and then we start worrying, but by then it's too late. By then we've missed decades of Salah by then now we're too old and we're too weak or we're too ill to go and perform hajj and umrah now, our children who are adults themselves too late to tell them go and pray, read on learn your religion. They're adults, they have lives of themselves. And the last thing we're going to do now is listen to you. Our whole perspective changes. Whereas the scholars of
Islam and the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, their ham was the hum of the archaea, woman or other. Whosoever wants to know what sir Allah has saya and then they put that into action. They follow that up. That's what they're working towards. They're working towards the life of the hereafter.
And that's what the companions used to do, probably a long time. Because that is how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam nurtured and educated them. He taught them in that way. That Yes, you have jobs and you have lives and you have careers and your families and your children and so on and so forth. But your primary objective is to please Allah subhana wa Tada. And that's what they used to do. Every single day. They're doing what they can to come closer to Allah subhana wa, Tada. Even if they're serving their family, and they're helping their family, and they're providing for their family. Then they're remembering that Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when he's
saying that even if you feed your family, you provide for them, you smile, you help someone, you pick up something in the road that's harmful. It is a type of sadaqa so long as that is your intention. If you have sincerity, those actions allow rewards you for them. So now what they did was that they use the daily lives, their daily routines, the daily habits, they're coming and they're going, they're eating
And they're drinking, they're sleeping, their family time, their work time, their jobs, their careers, everything else. They used it in a way that was pleasing to Allah, by making sure that they fit within that irata that wanting and desiring the hereafter. So now, when I'm providing for my family, yes, I have to go to work and yes, I have a job. But in my intention, it's something which I'm doing to please Allah. Because I know that that's also one of the obligations that allows placed upon me. So so one of the duties and responsibilities that Allah has placed upon my shoulder, when I'm spending time with my children and teaching them and I'm enjoying life with them and so on and
so forth. That is also an act of worship. Because the Prophet told his son in law while he was serving to make someone smile, it is an act of sadaqa is charity. And it's only charity because you want it to bring you closer to Allah subhana wa Tada. So their whole lives started transformed. And that's what made them so great. That's why you find a Heidi for example, about Abu Bakar the long run this the some of the Heidi that speak about his virtues, he's already done something and then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam speaks about its virtue. For example, that famous Hadith where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said one morning Manasa Herman commissar Emma, who
from amongst you woke up fasting, Nabucco de la Juan said I did, he said, Myskina who from amongst you today federal person, Abu Bakr said it from amongst you visited the sick person. I will because I did. So Saru, from amongst you follow the janaza funeral procession. Abubakar said either the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam much the man and the family in the hall agenda. These four things don't gather in a single person on a single day, except that they will enter into Jenna. That's an amazing Hadith and it's an amazing virtue. And all of us should strive and is one day within our lives, that we achieve those four things, strive towards them. But the difference between
us and Abubakar on the Allah one is that he did it before he was even told the virtue before he even knew the reward. Before the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam even told him, he had already done it. Why? Because he had that era that
he wanted the hereafter. And that is what that's what made the companions so amazing. They were doing those things. And then the Prophet Solomon say yes, there is the virtue. Yes, there is a reward. Yes, there is what you get so that we will benefit the later generations. The later Muslims, we will learn those rewards and virtues. But the companions are already doing it. And you only have to look at the many a Heidi that speak about the likes of Abu Bakr, Omar rhodiola, random and other companions to see that this was the case, they were already a step ahead. Why because their whole lives now. We're about designing the hereafter.
And so you have those narrations, like, for example, Abu Hashim in Iraq to borrow the Allahu and one of the companions. On his deathbed, one of the companions saw that he was upset during his deathbed on his deathbed, it's about to pass away. So he started to remind him of his many good deeds, all the stuff that he did with the animal, the good that he's done all of the all of the work that he did, to give him some hope. He's He's afraid for himself at this time. So he said to Abu Hashim, the man or the companion who's about to die pass away, he said to this man who was reminding him of his good deeds. He said that I remember that the Prophet told me sallallahu alayhi wa sallam One day, he
said that our time will soon come upon you, when the world with all of his treasures will be open for you, meaning you'll conquer the Romans, and you'll conquer the Persians, and all of the treasures that they have, will come into your hands. And then he said to me, the process of selling meaning he said to me, that when that day comes, it is sufficient for you to take one servant, and to take one riding animal. That's enough, that's all you need from this dunya have a servant to help you have a mode of transport that you can get from A to B, that's all you need. And he said, the reason why I am crying is because I think that I took more than more I deserved more than what the
processor told me to take. I've taken more than what he told me to take. The duration goes on and says that when he passed away, or the loved one, the companion, and they looked into his inheritance and what he left behind, he had 30 times
the soul he had, but he's so afraid, because he thinks he's overstepped the bounds that he's desiring too much of the dunya because that is how the profits on a low hourly we'll sell them, make them understand what they should be working towards.
You have another companion sentiment and fantasy, the famous companion or the loved one. He has a similar idea when he was ill. And he feared for his life and started developing bakasana the love and the weakness was compelling came to him. And I said to him, what do you fear? What What's wrong? Why are you so afraid? Look at the good that you did and the years of companionship that you had and the amount of battles that you participated in, so on and so forth. And so man said something similar
He said that the Prophet was strongly sound alone while he was still under when morph comes, only take what is enough for you to feed yourself, your family and take an animal. That's all you need in a for yourself, your family and have a writing animal and that's all you need. And I think that I have taken more than what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam advised me when and when he passed away the fact that he only had some 20 of Durham's, you have companions like Baba carniola Wang, who, when they passed away, had hardly anything left, even though we all know that he was one of the most affluent, richest, wealthiest companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. But none of
it mattered was easy for them to have wealth and to go have a go because for them, they had a greater purpose and a greater desire. And that was designing the hereafter. Ahmed Abdul Aziz Rahim Allah tala, the famous Hadith from the scholar. He lived at a time when the Muslims were so prosperous that it said that the Muslims could find no one to give the cattle and that was one of the prophecies of the process. And Russell's gonna set a timer come upon this oma that you will find no one to accept you as a cow. Why? Because they don't qualify. No one qualifies was the cow. I'm not poor enough to take you as a car. There's no one there. So this was the time of Ramadan, Abdul
Aziz Rahim Allah, and he was the halifa between the years 99 and 101 of the Hydra, during his reign is for a relatively short two years and a few months. He was he had so much wealth within his kingdom and so much treasure and so everything was so prosperous, the Muslims are so wealthy before himself, he had nothing, nothing. So on his deathbed, they said to him, or Omar, what have you left for your children, you're the belief of the Muslims, everyone's wealthy, but you as the halifa, you have nothing, you will leave your children poor and destitute. So he said to them, that if I have done my job in raising my children, right, meaning I've given them that understanding that they need
to work for the Hereafter, they have no need for my wife. And if I have not done that job, I haven't done my role properly, then I would rather not leave them out that they will use to incur more of a loss, displeasure. That is how they used to think. And it's something which would occur over and over again, throughout the generations. When you have that understanding that this is what you want, then a large soldier that makes things easy for you, but will allow you to kind of sell your mascara. It is those people that allow will reward Allah will show them what to do through blessings and through reward, they will have contentment, and they will be happy. Right? They will have the
contentment that allows origin has given to them. And that's why one of the scholars of the past used to say that if the rulers knew what we found within our hearts, they would kill us for it. Because despite their wealth, and their palaces and everything else, they still live a life of of worry and anxiety and so on. But when you desire the Hereafter, you have peace and tranquility within your heart and that is more precious to most people than all of the wealth in the dunya. Even until recent times, our chef mo themin Rahim Allah Tada. He was someone known for his, for his Zod for his humbleness for his not wanting the dunya and so on. There's a story that I was remembering
last night, where one of the princes of Saudi Arabia, one of the ruling princes, he came to his house, and this is many years ago, and the chef used to live in a very old house, like a mud hut, very old house, very small. And when you go to his house, you sit on the floor, floor couches, there's no chairs, there's no sofas, you sit on the floor, like the old Arab style when they have those cushions on the floor and you sit down. So that Prince when he came in, and he saw this is where the chef's living and is clearly like, it's a very small house. He has guests, people come from all over the world to visit him and so on. He said to him that I want to buy you land and build
you a nice house, your proper house. The chef said no, I don't need I don't need them. said no, you have to insisted insisted No, you have to you have to. So the chef seeing that this Prince is insisting and you know, he can't get out of this because he's a prince, he's not going to build a house. Don't worry, I'm going to pay for it. You have nothing to worry about. He said to him that I have a house that I'm building on such and such a street such and such a road. So he said okay, then the prince said, if that's fine, as long as you're doing something, that's okay, if you have a house that you're building and so on is fine. And he left the chef's children. He came to him, they came
to me afterwards. And he said, we don't have a house on that street. We're not building a house. We have any land. What do you mean? So he said, Isn't that what our graveyard is? Isn't that where the graveyard is? And I'm building my house there everyone, every single one of us is building our houses in a cemetery in a graveyard, the role of us will sooner or later go towards and that's what he was referring to, was a very smart way of declining in a way is offer. But look at this era of the hero wanting and desiring the hereafter. akima Hello, Tara. And Alonzo uses for like a kindness. Are you homeless Cora for such people, a large soldier will give to them the blessings of this life
and the blessings of the next life.
Alonzo Joel will give to them both as Allah subhanaw taala tells us cool and no middle hola hola Eman aka Arabic, because the large dojo will provide for both camps. That is from the universal laws of Allah, Allah has ordained that Allah will provide for all of his creation. So it's not the case that just because someone wants to hear after that they will have wealth and an ease and Felicity. And for those people who don't want the Hereafter, they will have hardship, or vice versa. Alliance origin says how will
these and those both of them will be given from the provisions of your Lord. So those people a large religion provides for both. And that is also from the laws of Allah subhanaw taala that a large majority gives to everyone. And that is part of the test and the trial of this life. It is upon us to remember to prioritize, to have perspective to remember what it is that we're desiring what it is that we're working for, what it is that we're striving for what it is that we want. And that is where lawrence o'donnell says in the Quran, belt, thirunal hayata dunya, will
you give preference to the life of this world, even though the life of the next world is better, and is more lasting? That is how she tantrics us, we give preference to this life, our day and our night and our whole life is just churning on this wheel. And the cycle that we can't break out of because we're in the rest of the world, just thinking of what it is that we need to do to survive, to get money to work to get up on the career ladder and so on and so forth. And there is nothing wrong with that, by itself, so long as it fits within the greater vision of wanting to please Allah subhanho wa Taala when you know to higher up, but the life of the next life is better for you. And it is more
lasting. And a large audiences from lt tune in Shane, from a terrible hair to dounia was enough to have that which you've been given from this world. It is only from the adornments of this world, certainly from the life of this world and it's adornments warmer in the lawn, who lives in a man where there have been a token and the life of the next world, it is better and more lasting for those who believe in Allah, and they placed their trust upon him. And that is what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us to do, when you look at his life. And when you look at our religion, our whole Sharia, our whole way of living as Muslims is geared to the way that we it
reminds us constantly of working for the hereafter. So the first thing that we do when we wake up is pray to a large soldier for solitude. That's the first thing that you do. And one of the last things that you will do before you go to sleep is prayer Isha or play the wizard prayer is constantly reminding you of a large religion. And then you have Ramadan and you have charity and you're told to go and visit the sick and your relatives and your family. Every single thing that we do within our lives should be a reminder that brings us closer to Allah subhana wa tada because that constantly helps us to readjust when we're navigating in this world and we go right or left restart of that
track, it will just realize us, tells us that we need to focus again, upon having the desire for the hereafter. It is a trace my dear brothers and sisters and allies origin tells us in the Quran, that that choice will only have one of two results, as Allah says, For the open field gender, or for the confiserie there will be a group in general and a group in the fire of health. That is the choice and that is the results of that choice. It is we that make that choice and there is a large surgeon will then reward us accordingly. For the choices that we make. We ask Allah subhanaw taala that it gives us that ability to come closer to him subhana wa Tada. And that's why it's important that we
nail down those things that are so important for us to come closer to a large soldier, our relationship with the Quran should be solid, because it's one of the greatest ways of reminding ourselves of designing the hereafter. I was solid, this campaign that we're doing in this mission of getting people to get back into the soil and connect with their prayer of reading and understanding and learning the Salah, so that when they stand in front of a large soldier, it acts as that influence and access that motivator to remember the hereafter. Because a solid that doesn't do that isn't a Salah that is truly beneficial for us. It's not the Sunnah, that we're supposed to be
offering, if it doesn't remind us of the hereafter. But when it does from the widow from preparing for the Salah, from standing and facing the Qibla, from praying from what we recite and connecting with the verses of the Koran from after the Salah, when we read the Quran alone, we make our dramas and we make an hour of car, the whole thing should bring us closer to a larger region and give us the perspective of designing the hereafter. And that is what a large surgeon wants from us and that is why our religion has all of these different elements to remind us of the Hereafter, muscle muscle panel data that it gives us that desire and that sincere intention of that alarm.
Social makes it easy for us and He blesses upon this path that Allah Subhana Allah safeguards us and our families from the traps of shavon subhana
wa salam O Allah mousseline. hamdu lillahi, Rabbil alameen, wa salam ala Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato.
