I need make sure everybody's awake, you have to be listening.

00:00:10 --> 00:00:20

You need to get your, you know, both ears on, because the time that you have is limited. And, you know, this is going to be a two part program, I think

00:00:22 --> 00:00:49

we're gonna go up into the shot and then come back for the real part of, you know, question and answers and things like that. I'm not going to talk long at all, I'm only here to introduce to you Shaykh Abdullah Hakim quick, who is I've known him for many years, I've seen him in many countries, talking about many topics. And he's here today to talk to us about fighting temptation, and inshallah giving the youth tools that they need to succeed. It's one thing to say,

00:00:50 --> 00:01:13

Allah protect me. But there's also things that Allah has given us things that are tradition that you can use to fight temptation, and fight the tricks of Shakedown. And even more than having the willpower to even want to fight the temptations. So he's come a long way. I want to give the mic right to him. But I want to make sure that even though it's a large crowd, we're very respectful. If you have any conversations, you can take them outside.

00:01:14 --> 00:01:19

Take notes, and make sure we have some good questions for him shout loud without further ado, shake up the inquiry.

00:01:25 --> 00:01:26

And this is a joint

00:01:29 --> 00:01:31

committee to present

00:01:34 --> 00:01:35

no

00:01:37 --> 00:01:42

matter Rahim, Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa sallahu wa Taala.

00:01:43 --> 00:01:51

While he was after he had my back, my beloved brothers and sisters are Salam alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

00:01:54 --> 00:02:02

It is again a pleasure to be with you, especially with the younger generation, because it is young people who will live in the future

00:02:03 --> 00:02:57

and really the future for the Muslim Ummah lies with them, they are the ones inshallah, who will be carrying this message. And so, it is very important for us to be open with each other, to be very clear, because we are living in very difficult times. Not necessarily difficult, especially here in the West. Physically. You may be enjoying yourself physically. But it is difficult in trying to understand what is happening around us. It's confusing times, and you're getting sights and sounds and symbols, things are coming at you now especially the younger generation, things are coming at you, like no other people have ever experienced before. And our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW Salah

00:02:58 --> 00:03:13

he did not speak from himself, but he spoke from above seven heavens and it is reported in an authentic hadith that the prophet SAW Selim said yeah kulu Fie acid is the man kept that boon. That jungle

00:03:14 --> 00:03:25

yeah tuna comb minella * Mr. Lamb Tesla and tamala sequel, Yakumo de la you deluna What are you doing?

00:03:26 --> 00:03:33

The prophets are seldom said they will come near the end of time, great liars,

00:03:34 --> 00:03:44

false prophets, and they will come to you with a type of speech that neither you nor your parents have ever heard of before.

00:03:45 --> 00:03:53

Be aware of them. Be aware that they take you astray and be aware that they put you into a fitness

00:03:54 --> 00:03:58

and a fitness is a trial. It's temptation.

00:03:59 --> 00:04:22

It's a gray area, something that's not clear around US and South Dakota School of Law, they sought to slam the time has come this time has come. He said they will come to you with a type of speech is a type of communication. Neither you or your parents have ever heard of this before. Digital technology.

00:04:23 --> 00:04:25

In a short period of time,

00:04:26 --> 00:05:00

communication has completely changed. And now we are able to communicate with people all around the world. A message can be sent simultaneously. It can be watched a program can be watched, an event can be watched by people all over the planet. But the problem with this, as the prophet SAW seldom said you can either learn simultaneously or you can be confused simultaneously. They can make what is false appear as the

00:05:00 --> 00:05:20

It is true. And they can make what is true, appear as though it is false. with digital technology, they can take your face, they can put words into your mouth, they can say something they can, it looks like you did it and you said it. And it's so professional, you don't even you're not even sure about yourself.

00:05:22 --> 00:05:26

So this is an age of deception. And then the time of Pharaoh,

00:05:27 --> 00:05:37

and musala, Islam, the Sahaba The Magicians around him, they could take their ropes and sticks they could make it appeared to be a snake.

00:05:38 --> 00:05:44

But this technology has gone way past the magician's of federal

00:05:45 --> 00:05:58

This is can now create a false reality. And have you lived inside of that false reality? Have you relate to that false reality more than anything else and love that false reality.

00:05:59 --> 00:06:31

And so this is a time we need to be very clear with each other, and try to work on practical issues, and speak very openly with you. And after traveling to 60 countries, I traveled in the Muslim world, to 60 countries, staying with Muslims, seeing what their problems are, especially going amongst the young people. And there are certain issues which are similar in the younger generation, all over the world.

00:06:32 --> 00:06:38

There's certain points and crises that you are facing, which is different than our generation.

00:06:40 --> 00:06:54

And so we need to try to understand this. Because Muslims right now have the potential to lead the world. We have the wealth, we have numbers, we have strategic position.

00:06:56 --> 00:07:18

But something on the inside has to change. As we spoke over the last few days constantly, Allah Allah azza wa jal tells us in Surat in the La Jolla, you Roma be comin up Roma be unforeseen, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change that which is in themselves.

00:07:19 --> 00:07:56

No change. And so the first change, the first major change that has to happen is inside of the individual. It's the heart, the protesters upset, there's a lump of flesh, fill in the fill just that the motor is a solid hot seller who just had to put them where he got faster that faster than just a Dooku allow him. He said in the body that is a lump of flesh. If it goes right, the whole body is right. And if it is corrupted, if your inside spirit is corrupted, everything is going to go wrong, everything.

00:07:57 --> 00:08:11

So it's inside of us. That's where we first have to begin, then we have to look at our families and our communities, and not just speak on the outside, but start to talk to each other about real issues.

00:08:13 --> 00:08:14

And I want to

00:08:15 --> 00:08:24

make you aware of a study that was done by UNESCO United Nations Educational Foundation. And what they found out

00:08:25 --> 00:08:33

was amazing. Now normally the reports are very superficial. But this report that came out

00:08:34 --> 00:08:46

about two years ago, was an interesting study. And what it was talking about is this new generation in the 21st century of young people.

00:08:47 --> 00:08:53

And what they found is that in the 21st century, this is the largest generation.

00:08:54 --> 00:09:04

It is the largest group of the largest group of people in the 21st century, people between the ages of 15 and 24.

00:09:05 --> 00:09:06

This is the largest group.

00:09:07 --> 00:09:08

And they found that

00:09:10 --> 00:09:12

over 48%

00:09:13 --> 00:09:15

of the world's population

00:09:16 --> 00:09:32

are under 24 years old. So if you were to take the Muslims now, in Northern Virginia, if everybody came out for salata eat, and we had one masala eat guy, and everybody came out to it.

00:09:33 --> 00:09:45

And we had everybody come out, women, children, families, everybody, you would see that the majority of the people on that field are young people. The overwhelming majority.

00:09:46 --> 00:09:59

And this is the way it is in just about every society of the world. So this is a different generation. But shockingly what they found out is on the African continent it's 60

00:10:00 --> 00:10:16

percent are under 24. And also you look at Muslim countries, and you will generally see, that is somewhere around 60% 50 60% of Muslims are also under 24 years old, not 48.

00:10:17 --> 00:10:19

It's more around 60%.

00:10:21 --> 00:10:22

And what they found

00:10:23 --> 00:10:24

this generation

00:10:25 --> 00:10:29

is in crisis, serious crisis.

00:10:30 --> 00:10:32

And I want to share with you

00:10:33 --> 00:10:58

a few points that they made, I want to reflect on these points, and then go back to some of them later. What they found out is that this generation, there's five areas of crisis, that young people, you will have to deal with five, international crisis, these crises are going to get larger and larger and larger. Number one,

00:11:00 --> 00:11:01

violence

00:11:02 --> 00:11:23

is violence. People are killing each other, and destroying things like no other time in history, we have developed the capabilities to destroy the whole planet. And violence is all around us. Violence. Now in the international media, you'll see most of the time, it's violence.

00:11:24 --> 00:11:37

If they have a movie, and nobody's getting killed. A lot of people, they don't like that movie, they're bored. because nobody's getting killed. Violence has become something like almost a normal thing to see.

00:11:39 --> 00:11:43

In other countries, even when they don't have television, they experienced violence.

00:11:45 --> 00:11:45

Number two,

00:11:47 --> 00:11:56

and this is an international report. So this is Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, everybody.

00:11:57 --> 00:12:03

The second great crisis facing the youth is the erosion of traditional values,

00:12:05 --> 00:12:14

the traditional values that your family has, it's leaving now. And a new set of values comes when you want to eat your food.

00:12:15 --> 00:12:28

And you go out to the mall, and there's a lot of restaurants and young people here or in China many places, you go to the restaurant they say what would you like to eat? And they usually say, burgers and fries.

00:12:29 --> 00:12:33

Kentucky Fried Chicken, like only in Kentucky Fried Chicken.

00:12:35 --> 00:12:37

You have beautiful kababs

00:12:38 --> 00:12:49

Yeah, beautiful symbiosis, very yummy, and JIRA. All types of beautiful food you have. But the younger generation burgers and fries.

00:12:51 --> 00:13:16

One person called it the mcdonaldization of the world. And I entered into a Muslim country, not going to say which one it is. And I came in the Muslim country, we just passed through immigration. And we were driving in the dock. And the first thing I saw was the golden arches. And this is a famous Muslim country, golden arches. Okay, I came into another country in Ramadan.

00:13:18 --> 00:13:22

And it said, The Golden Arches were there and it said, Ramadan, Kareem.

00:13:24 --> 00:13:28

And the golden arches are in front of you, McDonald's,

00:13:29 --> 00:13:36

it's all over the place. And so your values are under attack

00:13:37 --> 00:13:51

your values in terms of your modesty, your values, in terms of your prayer, your values, in terms of family, the whole traditional system is now under attack. And a new system is being given to you with digital technology.

00:13:53 --> 00:14:04

It's coming to you and story false. It's in story false. And it's coming to you, you're watching the story, you're enjoying yourself, but they're teaching you something at the same time.

00:14:05 --> 00:14:13

They're teaching you values. They're teaching you color. They're teaching you how to look at the world.

00:14:15 --> 00:14:25

So that's the second point number three of the crisis areas disease. Disease is an international problem.

00:14:26 --> 00:14:30

And I can attest to this because I spent 10 years in South Africa.

00:14:31 --> 00:14:36

And one of the crises people are facing there. The HIV AIDS crisis

00:14:37 --> 00:14:40

has reached a point in some parts of South Africa.

00:14:41 --> 00:14:45

30% of the population is HIV positive

00:14:46 --> 00:14:46

30%

00:14:48 --> 00:14:50

a Muslim doctor came in the area.

00:14:51 --> 00:14:52

And he came to me and he said

00:14:54 --> 00:14:59

that he was told by the South African doctors, you can just consider every person that comes in

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03

The door HIV positive, because if 30%

00:15:04 --> 00:15:07

is positive, then even considered everybody.

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11

And it's not just in South Africa,

00:15:12 --> 00:15:20

there are different new types of diseases that are spreading around viruses that are spreading around now, like no other time,

00:15:21 --> 00:15:29

even though we have the capability to stop. So disease, number three, number four, poverty,

00:15:30 --> 00:15:51

poverty, poor people, what you see, even in America now the 99% people are in the streets everywhere. Poverty. Right now, the majority of the people in the world live on only $2.50 per day. That is the majority of the people on earth.

00:15:52 --> 00:15:53

And this poverty

00:15:54 --> 00:16:02

will be causing international crises will affect everybody on the planet. Number five

00:16:04 --> 00:16:05

drugs,

00:16:06 --> 00:16:33

meaning illegal drugs. This is a problem, which is a crisis. And again, living in South Africa, we were in the center because the international drug trade has now changed. and South Africa is the center of the international drug trade, because the drugs from South America, the drugs from Asia, a process through South Africa, and everything's on the street.

00:16:35 --> 00:16:44

So we had to face problems in our community, dealing with drugs, extremely serious problems. What are some of the solutions

00:16:45 --> 00:16:59

that we will face? And we'll go back to some of this later. But I want to show you what the United Nations was even saying, what are some of the solutions as a hunter now this this center, I believe, is one of the most advanced places, but you can still learn something?

00:17:00 --> 00:17:09

What are the solutions, these are areas that you need to work on, because you need action oriented programs, talk is not going to be enough.

00:17:10 --> 00:17:28

There has to be programs, and the younger generation needs action, not words. Number one, this 10 points focus on this is an international problem. They found this problem amongst all nations solution, education,

00:17:30 --> 00:18:06

education, and for Muslims. First, a proper education on the basis of our religion itself. Everybody needs to take some time and learn classical Arabic language. Learn the foundations of the Dean of the religion so we can understand where we're coming from. Secondly, education of what's happening in the world. What's going on in the environment? skills training, how can we come out of this? It's crucial now, number two solutions. And this especially will reach the teenagers employment.

00:18:07 --> 00:18:30

For the young people coming into teens going toward 20. employment is a crisis. Even people with college education are having problems now. So the masjids themselves, the centers can provide for people skills, training, skills, training, and then even employment, help them in employment. Number three,

00:18:32 --> 00:18:54

hunger and poverty. This is something that you may not be facing so much here in Northern Virginia. In Toronto, we were facing a problem we found out even in the Muslim community, there is poverty, there's hunger in the Muslim community. And we opened up a food bank. And we turned around we had hundreds of Muslims come in for food.

00:18:55 --> 00:19:03

We didn't have enough in Toronto, in Canada. So this is an issue which is going to seriously face our community.

00:19:04 --> 00:19:06

Number four,

00:19:07 --> 00:19:24

these are action oriented solutions, health issues, to deal with issues of health, understanding what is going on with our bodies, understanding how to protect ourselves, how to strengthen ourselves, to survive inside of this world.

00:19:25 --> 00:19:46

Number five, the environment. We need to have education about what's happening in the environment around us because the environment is changing. The environment is moving now. And shortly there'll be such major crises in the world that everything is going to change.

00:19:47 --> 00:19:56

Number six, drug abuse, drug abuse problems. Now this might sound strange

00:19:58 --> 00:19:59

but drug usage

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03

And abuse, it is a real issue in the Muslim community.

00:20:05 --> 00:20:07

So in order to defeat

00:20:08 --> 00:20:15

the drugs that are coming to us, and are made to seem as though they are so interesting, we need to be educated what they are

00:20:16 --> 00:20:42

and how to stay away away from it. Preventive education. So before people fall into drugs, they need to be prevented from to understand what the drugs are bringing an expert on drugs, let him show you all the types of drugs, what are the what do they use in order to to get themselves high? What happens to you show a human being before drugs and after drugs.

00:20:43 --> 00:20:51

So that it will not seem like it's so interesting, because the drugs are being brought to you in a very beautiful way, ecstasy

00:20:52 --> 00:21:02

and all these beautiful things. When I was in Medina, they had a drug with they called it. The brothers wrote to me and they said we have a new drug industry is called angels dust.

00:21:03 --> 00:21:16

They are PCP and angels. They take embalming fluid from the dead bodies that they put in the dead bodies, and they snorted in their notes. And they go crazy.

00:21:17 --> 00:21:27

And they run down the street, tear their clothes off. And the next day, they're in the hospital, bruises all over the body and they say What happened to you? And he said, I don't know. But I had a good time.

00:21:29 --> 00:21:35

I had a good time. But I don't even know what happens. So the brother said what is Get it?

00:21:36 --> 00:21:50

I took it to the chef has a nice name right? angels Duff. I said how can I translate this into Arabic to Robert melodica like angels dust, the shacks that hot are cleaning, give me some of this.

00:21:51 --> 00:21:59

But then I explained to him what it was and he said law. This is karma. This is an intoxicant and intoxication is haram.

00:22:01 --> 00:22:10

But the name is the trick. You see the digital age, right? confusing. It has a nice name, but it's destroying your body.

00:22:12 --> 00:22:13

Number seven,

00:22:14 --> 00:22:15

juvenile delinquency.

00:22:17 --> 00:22:25

This is a serious problem throughout the planet. And especially the younger generation where a lot of these things come in from

00:22:26 --> 00:22:43

you have to remember that the struggle with human beings is an old struggle. And our greatest enemy is the shaytaan himself Will he ever be loved and the beginning of time when Allah subhanaw taala said to add to set to set a time

00:22:44 --> 00:23:02

that you know all the angels was Julie Adam, for such a do it please. He said bow down to add all the angels bow down. And the shaytaan was amongst them. He was God. But he was very good at the time. He refused about them.

00:23:04 --> 00:23:13

And when he was asked why he said the follow up to him and not a collector who maintain You made me from fire. And you made him from clay.

00:23:14 --> 00:23:32

I'm not gonna bow to him. So he believes he was the first racist. That was the first racist right there. He want to deal with Adam because his claim is weak person. Clay gets tired and falls down. A made from fire. You see?

00:23:34 --> 00:23:48

Allah subhanaw taala threw him out of Paradise cursed him. But the shaytaan said, I will come back give me a chance. I will come in front of them around them. I will make them change the creation of a law

00:23:49 --> 00:24:04

and set up a law Do you see it today? People are not satisfied with themselves. Some people's skin. They say I'm too light. I want to get dark. So they put on suntan lotion because they want to become brown.

00:24:05 --> 00:24:47

Other people said I'm too brown and I want to become lighter. So they put on chemicals to make themselves. Sometimes they hear is too curly and they make it strict. Sometimes it's too straight and they make it curly. Some of them they even put on false eyes. One person was going back from Canada, she was going to Trinidad or something. And I looked at her closely I was on the plane. I said What happened to you? She had gray eyes. And I said Your eyes have changed. He said no I'm coming from Canada. I gotta have Canadian eyes. So she changed the color of her eyes. Just like Allah said the shape Tom would do. He will make you dissatisfied with yourself.

00:24:48 --> 00:24:51

To make you change the creation of a law I'm coming to you from

00:24:54 --> 00:24:56

inserts of Baccarat.

00:24:57 --> 00:24:59

Look at the words of Allah subhanaw taala what he's telling us

00:25:00 --> 00:25:30

He tells us a search box reverse 168 ooh Billahi min ash shaytaan the regime? Yeah you had NASS. kulu min marfil out of the halonen tayyiba wallet w photowalk shaytaan. In Komodo one movie, in the Maya, Morocco de su el fasher. One Taku. Allah Allah, Allah, Allah. Allah said, all humanity, eat, what is from the earth. Hello, Alan. Toshiba

00:25:31 --> 00:25:44

sees the two things right? He said hello, which is permissible and three bent, which is good, it's permissible, and it's good, wholesome, wholesome food.

00:25:46 --> 00:25:50

And that's an important point because some people eat halau food. But it's not wholesome.

00:25:52 --> 00:26:01

In some of the countries I was in, in South Africa, and also I found it in many countries, Muslims were dropping dead from heart attacks.

00:26:03 --> 00:26:16

And some of them are very thin in their body, but they're dropping dead from heart attacks. Then I went to the dinner, and we had some food and the curry. It was so greasy, the meat was floating around it.

00:26:17 --> 00:26:24

And your hand was greasy from it. And after they ate that they said I want Coca Cola coke classic.

00:26:26 --> 00:26:29

So the grease and the Coca Cola is like mixing cement.

00:26:31 --> 00:26:41

And when that goes into the body, it like blocks, the other reason side of your body. So people because of the eating, it's Hello food. I didn't say it was around.

00:26:42 --> 00:26:47

But it's not tightly but you see Palawan tayyiba.

00:26:48 --> 00:26:56

That's two things that Allah said, Will attribute the watershed. Do not follow the footsteps of the devil.

00:26:57 --> 00:27:03

Because he is to you and open enemies. He's an open enemy.

00:27:04 --> 00:27:26

There is no compromise with the shades on when Halloween comes. And Halloween is a clear holiday if you study the history of Halloween. It was the following some hain they believe that evil spirits were coming to the earth on that night. And they would dress in different costumes because they thought the Ghost will come in to get

00:27:28 --> 00:27:29

so they didn't want to be described.

00:27:31 --> 00:27:49

And it was a devil worshipping night. It's the same tactic festival. So there's no compromise with this. But some Muslim came to me in up in one area. It was in Toronto and they said they want to have a special program on that night. It's not Halloween, they said Halloween.

00:27:52 --> 00:28:00

Halloween, I said hello we you can't make Halloween halau it's like taking a pig and say Bismillah Allahu Akbar.

00:28:02 --> 00:28:06

It's not halau meat man, because the pig the pig is not just

00:28:07 --> 00:28:11

the pig itself is Herat. So I don't care how you slaughter the pig.

00:28:12 --> 00:28:13

It doesn't become holla

00:28:14 --> 00:28:17

what you do on Halloween, have an alternative program

00:28:18 --> 00:28:30

do something different so you don't get involved in the trick a treat because they put all kinds of things in your bag, right? They can put anything in that bag. So have your program but you don't have to call it Halloween.

00:28:31 --> 00:28:34

Like don't go that far right. Make an alternative.

00:28:36 --> 00:28:37

A law said

00:28:38 --> 00:28:41

the shaytaan is an open endedness

00:28:42 --> 00:28:58

there's no compromise. Why? Then Allah said in Namibia, Morocco. This suit well facture Well, Hunter Kudo, Allahu Allah tala. He will command you with evil and with immorality.

00:29:00 --> 00:29:03

And to say about a law that which you know, not

00:29:04 --> 00:29:05

look at the digital technology.

00:29:07 --> 00:29:13

Most of the heroes in the movies today. The gangsters, bank robbers.

00:29:14 --> 00:29:18

Even the government officials in the movies are criminals.

00:29:19 --> 00:29:29

So the younger generation coming up, it's cool to be against Ocean's 12 or 13, or whatever, criminals. They're heroes, right? Robin Hood.

00:29:31 --> 00:29:35

Right, steal from the good from the rich and give it to the poor.

00:29:36 --> 00:29:40

Right Robin of the hood. That's the concept.

00:29:41 --> 00:29:47

Evil, the shutter will command you with evil and facha in morality.

00:29:48 --> 00:29:53

Look at the movies. It's what the Greeks call erotica.

00:29:54 --> 00:30:00

erotica comes from the little Cupid the Romans called and Cupid and the Greek

00:30:00 --> 00:30:03

Column arrows, he shoots this error at you and you fall in love.

00:30:04 --> 00:30:06

st Valentine's Day, right?

00:30:08 --> 00:30:24

They watch the movie. And they're out in space fighting aliens, and somebody falls in love. They're under the ocean fighting monsters and somebody falls in love. They're playing baseball or football and somebody falls in love. They're fighting in a war. And so why are they always following?

00:30:26 --> 00:30:27

erotica?

00:30:28 --> 00:30:40

What is this doing? It's commanding you, forcing you to do this. Right. And then the new form that it takes is *.

00:30:42 --> 00:30:43

* comes,

00:30:44 --> 00:30:54

you see it. Now on your cell phone, it's on your laptop, you go into the website, boom, it pops up in front of your face, all around you.

00:30:56 --> 00:31:03

This is the temptation. This is what is coming at us. It is like never before. This has hit humanity.

00:31:04 --> 00:31:23

And it's a serious struggle that we are involved in. And it comes directly from the devil himself. Because in backup a lot of this advertisement, the companies that are there, you will find devilish people, say tannic cults and devilish stinking people

00:31:24 --> 00:31:31

trying to take you off the path and to make you lose your shame, and lose your sense of modesty.

00:31:32 --> 00:31:37

The third part was the shape time will make you say about Allah, that which you know, not.

00:31:39 --> 00:31:41

People will try to make up their own religions. Now.

00:31:43 --> 00:31:48

They will try to change the religion like they want, taking it away from the Sunnah of the prophet SAW itself.

00:31:50 --> 00:31:51

So

00:31:52 --> 00:31:57

in terms of solutions, going back to the United Nations, number eight

00:31:58 --> 00:32:01

of the 10 solutions, Number eight,

00:32:03 --> 00:32:16

the focus should be we should have a great focus on leisure time activities, leisure time activities for people from 15 to 24. What does that mean?

00:32:18 --> 00:32:21

On the weekend nights? Friday night,

00:32:22 --> 00:32:25

Saturday night, what are you gonna do on Saturday night,

00:32:26 --> 00:32:44

in this part of the world, on the weekend, is when they come out to play. They work all week. And then on Friday night, they get involved in craziness, drink alcohol, take drugs. And then on Sunday, they go to church and say, Well, God, forgive me if they go to church.

00:32:46 --> 00:32:47

But on Monday, they go back to work.

00:32:49 --> 00:32:51

This is how the society is being set up.

00:32:53 --> 00:32:57

And it is impacting on the younger generation, seriously.

00:32:58 --> 00:33:11

So it's something we need to talk about, especially for the teenagers, between 15 and 20. For that age group, usually in communities, this program for the young children,

00:33:13 --> 00:33:52

and then for the adults, but the ones in the middle. There's usually not many programs. And that's where the crisis is. Because what will happen out of this is that two phases will develop. You have one face for the masjid, and another face for your friends, or for public school. But if you go to public school, so when you see him at home, he's below. And below is a nice little boy, martial arts about a cola. But when he goes to school, he gets a attitude and is not allowed anymore. He's Billy

00:33:57 --> 00:33:58

Ali is out.

00:34:00 --> 00:34:01

asiyah is Asia.

00:34:03 --> 00:34:11

They change their names. And sometimes they change not only their name, but they change their personality.

00:34:12 --> 00:34:14

That's the dangerous part.

00:34:15 --> 00:34:24

And you can't blame the young people for this because the father, he was going to work. His name was Mohammed. So he told the people on the job just called me Mo.

00:34:25 --> 00:34:29

Just call me mo It's okay. So he changed his name.

00:34:30 --> 00:34:37

And the young boy he watches his father and they say his mo home. Okay, Mo, Mo Yo, come over here.

00:34:38 --> 00:34:40

So the young boy, he changed his name to Billy.

00:34:42 --> 00:35:00

But he took it a step further and he changed his attitudes. So one day, Bilal is growing up when he turns into Billy at school, and when he comes home, he becomes Bilbao. And one day he forgot to change that when he got home. The father turned around

00:35:00 --> 00:35:07

And Billy was standing in front of and the father said it's time for salaat. And Billy said, Why?

00:35:08 --> 00:35:17

Why do I have to do this? And then a crisis develops. So this is a serious issue to faces.

00:35:18 --> 00:35:22

The issue of the wedge Hey, the prophet SAW Selim said,

00:35:23 --> 00:36:02

touchy. touchy Doman, sharada ness, and de la he yomo tiama Bula. Watch Hey, Olivia T, how will you be watching? What How will it be watch? Oh, come on, you will find the most despicable person on the Day of Judgment is the one with two faces, to watch as he comes to with one group, one face, and another group with another face. So we have to learn how to have one face. And that's not easy today, right? That's not easy. It's going to require courage. knowledge of the sooner

00:36:03 --> 00:36:04

the sooner is brought.

00:36:06 --> 00:36:13

It's not one particular way to carry out things. And that's what the young people need to learn how to maneuver with Islam.

00:36:15 --> 00:36:18

And to stay out of the problems. Number nine.

00:36:19 --> 00:36:23

This is the solution of the United Nations International problem.

00:36:24 --> 00:36:31

What's the solution? The priority area number nine is girls and young women.

00:36:32 --> 00:36:46

For too long, the programs in the Muslim community only were for males. Only for men only. buzzer hamdulillah this community things have changed. When I was here some years ago, we would have an Islamic conference.

00:36:47 --> 00:36:51

And the men would be in one section talking about Akita and fit

00:36:52 --> 00:37:01

and Hadeeth and the women are in another area having a lecture about Islamic cooking. What is the latest samosa?

00:37:03 --> 00:37:04

The most authentic samosa?

00:37:06 --> 00:37:17

No, there has to end the same aqeedah the same fick the same Heidi's, the same Tafseer needs to be studied by the women as well as the men.

00:37:18 --> 00:37:28

That's the way it wasn't the time of the Prophet. So salon. How could I Isha read the law on ha report the second most howdy? How could she do that if she didn't have knowledge.

00:37:29 --> 00:37:31

That's the way it's supposed to be.

00:37:34 --> 00:37:35

So this is a priority area.

00:37:37 --> 00:37:43

And number 10, of the priority areas, full participation

00:37:44 --> 00:37:55

of the youth in the programs of the community. That's not just youth programs, there should be young people who sit on the leadership in the community.

00:37:57 --> 00:38:01

That's the way the prophet SAW Selim used to do it. He had young people sitting next to him,

00:38:02 --> 00:38:20

and learning how to be leaders. So when it was time for them to take over as leaders, they have no problem. They move right into it. So this is a crucial thing. And this is a serious struggle because as the Quran said, in the hula comb, I do when will be

00:38:21 --> 00:38:27

the devil is an open enemy to you. So when these things are coming at us, it's a serious thing.

00:38:28 --> 00:38:50

When your shame is being taken away, * is a dangerous thing. It's destroying our minds. And the prophet SAW seldom said either limb testa he first not machete, if you don't have higher, if you don't have modesty, you can't turn your gaze than do what you want to do. Or you're capable of doing anything.

00:38:51 --> 00:38:55

So the first thing they want to break down is your modesty.

00:38:57 --> 00:39:07

And then open you up, just like Nike, Nike used to have on their shirts. He used to say Just do it. Remember that? Just do it. What does that mean?

00:39:08 --> 00:39:14

Do anything, right? You have no shame, you have no limits. You have no law, just do it.

00:39:16 --> 00:39:38

That's how they come at you. And that's the basis of the society. So we need to think about some serious programs. Alhamdulillah this center is advanced. I can tell by but my brother's here and people who have been involved in the field. But what we are saying to young people spend as much time as you can, outside the city, in in nature.

00:39:39 --> 00:39:43

go hiking, camping, turn off your cell phone,

00:39:44 --> 00:40:00

turn it off, no television, go into creation of Allah. Then you will see the perfection of Allah subhanaw taala go in the creation growth side. See how Allah is created things. sleep outside in the temple.

00:40:00 --> 00:40:03

get up in the morning and make fudger outside.

00:40:04 --> 00:40:10

Right learn manhood, womanhood in the Islamic way, not the gangster way.

00:40:13 --> 00:40:24

So this is a crucial thing, activities need to be action or 100 Allah, you have basketball court action oriented, the younger generation needs action to move around.

00:40:25 --> 00:40:27

deal with the issues

00:40:28 --> 00:40:54

that I know that you have. But what I recommend always is that the young people we form Holocaust circles and we listen let the young people talk that the young people say what the problem is, and not we telling you what the problem is. We want to hear from you. What is the problem and I've done that in many countries. And when that happens, you'll be surprised what you hear

00:40:55 --> 00:41:14

that needs to be done a programs need to be structured in an organized fashion action oriented programs, remember these 10 areas, okay, the crises areas violence, erosion of traditional values, disease, poverty, drugs

00:41:15 --> 00:41:42

10 priority areas, education, employment, hunger and poverty, health, environment, drug abuse, juvenile delinquency, leisure time activities, girls and young women full parties participation, full participate participation of the youth in society and decision making full participation.

00:41:44 --> 00:41:54

So I leave you with these thoughts and I we will come back and shala to discuss this after salata, who luckily have a well stocked full lolly welcome for salaam aleikum, wa rahmatullah.

00:42:05 --> 00:42:08

In the 21st century of young people.

00:42:09 --> 00:42:15

And what they found is that in the 21st century, this is the largest generation

00:42:16 --> 00:42:26

It is the largest group, or the largest group of people in the 21st century, are people between the ages of 15 and 24.

00:42:27 --> 00:42:28

This is the largest group.

00:42:29 --> 00:42:30

And they found that

00:42:32 --> 00:42:34

over 48%

00:42:35 --> 00:42:36

of the world's population

00:42:38 --> 00:42:53

are under 24 years old. So if you were to take the Muslims now, in Northern Virginia, if everybody came out for salata, Lee, and we had one masala heat guy, and everybody came out to it.

00:42:55 --> 00:43:07

And we had everybody come out, women, children, families, everybody, you would see that the majority of the people on that field are young people, the overwhelming majority.

00:43:08 --> 00:43:38

And this is the way it is in just about every society of the world. So this is a different generation. But shockingly, what they found out is on the African continent, it's 60%, or under 24. And also you look at Muslim countries, and you will generally see, that is somewhere around 60% 50 60% of Muslims are also under 24 years old, not 48.

00:43:39 --> 00:43:41

It's more around 60%.

00:43:42 --> 00:43:43

And what they found

00:43:45 --> 00:43:46

this generation

00:43:47 --> 00:43:50

is in crisis, serious crisis.

00:43:52 --> 00:43:54

And I want to share with you

00:43:55 --> 00:44:20

a few points that they made. I want to reflect on these points, and then go back to some of them later. What they found out is that this generation, there's five areas of crisis, that young people you will have to deal with five, international crisis, these crises are going to get larger and larger and larger. Number one,

00:44:21 --> 00:44:23

violence

00:44:24 --> 00:44:59

is violence. People are killing each other, and destroying things like no other time in history. We have developed the capabilities to destroy the whole planet. And violence is all around us. Violence now in the international media. You'll see most of the time, it's violence. If they have a movie, and nobody's getting killed. A lot of people they don't like that movie. They're bored. because nobody's getting killed. Violence has become something like almost a normal thing to see.

00:45:01 --> 00:45:05

In other countries, even when they don't have television, they experienced violence.

00:45:06 --> 00:45:07

Number two,

00:45:09 --> 00:45:18

and this is an international report. So this is Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, everybody.

00:45:19 --> 00:45:25

The second great crisis facing the youth is the erosion of traditional values,

00:45:26 --> 00:45:36

the traditional values that your family has, it's leaving now. And a new set of values comes when you want to eat your food.

00:45:37 --> 00:45:49

And you go out to the mall that has a lot of restaurants, young people here or in China and many places, you go to the restaurant, they say, what would you like to eat? And they usually say, burgers and fries.

00:45:51 --> 00:45:55

Kentucky Fried Chicken, like only Kentucky Fried Chicken.

00:45:57 --> 00:45:59

You have beautiful kebabs.

00:46:00 --> 00:46:11

Yeah, beautiful symbiosis, very yummy, and JIRA. All types of beautiful foods you have. But the younger generation burgers and fries.

00:46:12 --> 00:46:38

00:46:40 --> 00:46:44

And it said, The Golden Arches with it, and it said, Ramadan, Kareem.

00:46:46 --> 00:46:50

And the golden arches are in front of you, McDonald's,

00:46:51 --> 00:46:57

it's all over the place. And so your values are under attack

00:46:59 --> 00:47:13

your values in terms of your modesty, your values, in terms of your prayer, your values, in terms of family, the whole traditional system is now under attack. And a new system is being given to you with digital technology.

00:47:15 --> 00:47:25

It's coming to you in story forms. It's in story forms. And it's coming to you, you're watching the story, you're enjoying yourself, but they're teaching you something at the same time.

00:47:26 --> 00:47:34

They're teaching you values. They're teaching you color. They're teaching you how to look at the world.

00:47:37 --> 00:47:46

And so that's the second point number three of the crisis areas, disease. Disease is an international problem.

00:47:48 --> 00:47:52

And I can attest to this because I spent 10 years in South Africa.

00:47:53 --> 00:47:57

And one of the crises people are facing there, the HIV AIDS crisis

00:47:59 --> 00:48:02

has reached a point in some parts of South Africa.

00:48:03 --> 00:48:06

30% of the population is HIV positive

00:48:08 --> 00:48:08

30%

00:48:09 --> 00:48:11

Muslim doctor came in the area.

00:48:12 --> 00:48:14

And he came to me and he said

00:48:16 --> 00:48:25

that he was told by the South African doctors, you can just consider every person that comes in the door HIV positive, because if 30%

00:48:26 --> 00:48:29

is positive, then even considered everybody.

00:48:31 --> 00:48:32

And it's not just in South Africa.

00:48:33 --> 00:48:42

There are different new types of diseases that spreading around viruses that are spreading around now, like no other time,

00:48:43 --> 00:48:51

even though we have the capability to stop them. So disease, number three, number four, poverty,

00:48:52 --> 00:49:13

poverty, poor people. What you see even in America now the 99% people are in the streets everywhere. Poverty. Right now, the majority of the people in the world live on only $2.50 per day. That is the majority of the people on earth.

00:49:14 --> 00:49:15

And this poverty

00:49:16 --> 00:49:24

will be causing international crisis will affect everybody on the planet. Number five

00:49:26 --> 00:49:55

drugs, meaning illegal drugs. This is a problem, which is a crisis. And again, living in South Africa. We were in the center because the international drug trade has now changed and South Africa is the center of the international drug trade because the drugs from South America, the drugs from Asia, are processed through South Africa and everything's on the street.

00:49:56 --> 00:49:59

So we have to face problems in our community.

00:50:00 --> 00:50:21

Dealing with drugs, extremely serious problems. What are some of the solutions? So that we will face and we'll go back to some of this later. But I want to show you what the United Nations was even saying, what are some of the solutions, and hamdulillah. This, this center, I believe, is one of the most advanced places, but you can still learn something.

00:50:22 --> 00:50:31

What are the solutions, these are areas that you need to work on, because you need action oriented programs, talk is not going to be enough.

00:50:32 --> 00:50:50

There has to be programs, and the younger generation needs action, not words. Number one, this 10 points focus on this is an international problem. They found this problem amongst all nations solution, education,

00:50:51 --> 00:51:28

education, and for Muslims.

00:51:29 --> 00:51:52

For the young people coming in the teens going toward 20. employment is a crisis. Even people with college education are having problems now. So the masjids themselves, the centers can provide for people skills, training, skills, training, and then even employment, help them in employment. Number three,

00:51:54 --> 00:52:16

hunger and poverty. This is something that you may not be facing so much here in Northern Virginia. In Toronto, we were facing a problem we found out even in the Muslim community, there is profits, there's hunger in the Muslim community, and we opened up a food bank. And we turned around we had hundreds of Muslims come in for food.

00:52:17 --> 00:52:24

We didn't have enough in Toronto, in Canada. So this is an issue which is going to seriously face our community.

00:52:26 --> 00:52:27

Number four,

00:52:29 --> 00:52:46

these are action oriented solutions, health issues, to deal with issues of health, understanding what is going on with our bodies, understanding how to protect ourselves, how to strengthen ourselves, to survive inside of this world.

00:52:47 --> 00:53:08

Number five, the environment, we need to have education about what's happening in the environment around us, because the environment is changing. The environment is moving now. And shortly there will be such major crises in the world, that everything is going to change.

00:53:09 --> 00:53:18

Number six, drug abuse, drug abuse problems. Now, this might sound strange,

00:53:20 --> 00:53:25

but drug usage and abuse, it is a real issue in the Muslim community.

00:53:27 --> 00:53:28

So in order to defeat

00:53:29 --> 00:53:37

the drugs that are coming to us, and are made to seem as though they are so interesting, we need to be educated what they are

00:53:38 --> 00:54:03

and how to stay away away from preventive education. So before people fall into drugs, they need to be prevented from to understand what the drugs are bringing an expert on drugs. Let him show you all the types of drugs, what are the what do they use in order to to get themselves high? What happens to you show a human being before drugs and after drugs.

00:54:05 --> 00:54:12

So that it will not seem like it's so interesting, because the drugs are being brought to you in a very beautiful way, ecstasy

00:54:14 --> 00:54:24

and all these beautiful things. When I was in Medina, they had a drug with they called it the brothers wrote to me and they said we have a new drug on the street is called angels dust.

00:54:25 --> 00:54:37

They are PCP and angels. They take embalming fluid from the dead bodies that they put in the dead bodies and they snort it in their notes. And they go crazy.

00:54:39 --> 00:54:49

And they run down the street tear their clothes off. And the next day they're in the hospital, bruises all over the body and they say What happened to you? And he said I don't know. But I had a good time.

00:54:51 --> 00:54:59

I had a good time. But I don't even know what happens. So the brother said what is good effect why I took it to the share.

00:55:00 --> 00:55:11

That's a nice name right Angel stuff. I said how can I translate this into Arabic to Robert Mueller, aka, like angels dust the shacks that hot or cleaning, give me some of this.

00:55:13 --> 00:55:21

But then I explained to him what it was and he said law. This is karma. This is an intoxicant and intoxication is horrible.

00:55:23 --> 00:55:32

But the name is the trick. You see the digital age, right? confusing. It has a nice name, but it's destroying your body.

00:55:34 --> 00:55:35

Number seven,

00:55:36 --> 00:55:37

juvenile delinquency.

00:55:39 --> 00:55:46

This is a serious problem throughout the planet, and especially the younger generation, where a lot of these things coming from.

00:55:48 --> 00:56:05

You have to remember that the struggle with human beings is an old struggle. And our greatest enemy is the shaytaan himself Will he ever be law and the beginning of time, when Allah subhanaw taala said to add to said to say time

00:56:06 --> 00:56:24

that you know, all the angels was Julie Adam, for such a do it please. He said bow down to add all the angels bow down. And the shaytaan was amongst them. He was jindee but he was very good at the time. He refused about that.

00:56:26 --> 00:56:34

And when he was asked why he said Philip De Lima nada, well, conductor who maintain You made me from fire, and you made him from clay.

00:56:36 --> 00:56:54

I'm not gonna bow to him. So at least he was the first racist. That was the first racist right there. He want to deal with Adam because he's clean. He's weak person. Clay gets tired and falls down in a made from fire. See?

00:56:56 --> 00:57:00

Allah subhanaw taala threw him out of Paradise cursed him.

00:57:01 --> 00:57:10

But the shaitaan said, I will come back, give me a chance. I will come in front of them around them. I will make them change the creation of a law

00:57:11 --> 00:57:26

and set up a law team. You see it today. People are not satisfied with themselves. Some people's skin. They say I'm too light, I want to get dark. So they put them on suntan lotion, because they want to become brown.

00:57:27 --> 00:58:09

You said no. I'm coming from Canada. I gotta have Canadian eyes. So she changed the color of rice. Just like Allah said the shaker would do. He will make you dissatisfied with yourself.

00:58:10 --> 00:58:13

To make you change the creation of Allah, I'm coming to you upcoming.

00:58:16 --> 00:58:17

inserts of Baccarat

00:58:19 --> 00:58:52

look at the words of Allah subhanaw taala what he's telling us, he tells us in search of Baqarah verse 168 ooh Billahi min ash shaytani regime? Yeah, you had NASS. kulu min marfil out of the halaal and tayyiba one attack w for to attache turn in the hula Komodo one movie. In the Maya Murakami su el fascia. Well I'm Taku Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah. Allah said, all humanity eat what is from the earth. Hello, Alan tayyiba

00:58:53 --> 00:59:05

sees the two things right? He said halau which is permissible and he bent which is good, it's permissible and it's good, right? wholesome, eat wholesome food.

00:59:07 --> 00:59:12

And that's an important point because some people eat halau food, but it's not wholesome.

00:59:14 --> 00:59:23

In some of the countries I was in, in South Africa, and also I found it in many countries, Muslims were dropping dead from heart attacks.

00:59:25 --> 00:59:38

And some of them are very thin in their body, but they're dropping dead from heart attacks. Then I went to the dinner and we had some food and the curry. It was so greasy, the meat was floating around it

00:59:39 --> 00:59:46

and your hand was greasy from it. And after they ate that they said I want Coca Cola coke classic.

00:59:47 --> 00:59:51

So the grease and the Coca Cola is like mixing cement.

00:59:53 --> 01:00:00

And when that goes into the body and like blocks, the other reason side of your body. So people because of

01:00:00 --> 01:00:02

They're eating it's Hello food. I didn't say it was around.

01:00:04 --> 01:00:08

But it's not tayyiba. You see, hello Alan tayyiba

01:00:10 --> 01:00:17

that's two things that Allah said will attach who to water do not follow the footsteps of the devil

01:00:19 --> 01:00:25

because he is to you an open enemies. He's an open enemies.

01:00:26 --> 01:00:48

There's no compromise with the shape when Halloween comes. And Halloween is a clear holiday if you study the history of Halloween, it was the follow us some hain. They believe that evil spirits were coming to the earth on that night. And they would dress in different costumes because they thought the ghosts were coming to get.

01:00:49 --> 01:00:51

So they didn't want to be described.

01:00:53 --> 01:01:11

And it was a devil worshipping night. It's a satanic festival. So there's no compromise with this. But some Muslim kids meet in up in one area. It was in Toronto and they said they want to have a special program on that night. It's not Halloween, they said Halloween.

01:01:13 --> 01:01:22

Hello, we I said hello, we you can't make Halloween halau it's like taking a pig and say Bismillah Allahu Akbar.

01:01:23 --> 01:01:27

It's not Hello, meet man. Because the pig the pig is not just

01:01:28 --> 01:01:32

the pig itself is around. So I don't care how you slaughtered the pig.

01:01:33 --> 01:01:34

It doesn't become

01:01:36 --> 01:01:39

what you do on Halloween, have an alternative program

01:01:40 --> 01:01:51

do something different so you don't get involved in the trick a treat because they put all kinds of things in your bag, right? They can put anything in that bag. So have your program but you don't have to call it haloumi

01:01:52 --> 01:01:56

like don't go that far right. Make an alternative.

01:01:58 --> 01:01:59

Allah said

01:02:00 --> 01:02:03

the shaytaan is an open endedness

01:02:04 --> 01:02:20

there's no compromise. Why? Then Allah said in Namibia, Morocco. The suit well fatiah wanjiku Allahu Allah tala. He will commend you with evil and within morality.

01:02:22 --> 01:02:24

And to say about Allah that which you know, not

01:02:26 --> 01:02:27

look at the digital technology.

01:02:28 --> 01:02:35

Most of the heroes in the movies today that gets this bank robbers.

01:02:36 --> 01:02:39

Even the government officials in the movies are criminals.

01:02:40 --> 01:02:51

So the younger generation coming up, it's cool to be against Ocean's 12 or 13, or whatever and criminals, their heroes right, Robin Hood,

01:02:53 --> 01:02:57

right, steal from the good from the rich and give it to the poor.

01:02:58 --> 01:03:02

Right Robin of the hood. That's the concept.

01:03:03 --> 01:03:08

Evil. The short term will command you with evil and facha in morality.

01:03:10 --> 01:03:14

Look at the movies. It's what the Greeks call erotica.

01:03:15 --> 01:03:25

erotica comes from the little Cupid, the Romans called them Cupid. And the Greeks call them arrows. He shoots this arrow at you when you fall in love.

01:03:26 --> 01:03:28

st Valentine's Day, right?

01:03:30 --> 01:03:46

They watch the movie. And they're out in space fighting aliens, and somebody falls in love. They're under the ocean fighting monsters and somebody falls in love. They're playing baseball or football and somebody falls in love. They're fighting in a war. And so why are they always following in love?

01:03:48 --> 01:03:49

erotica,

01:03:50 --> 01:04:02

what is this doing? It's commanding you forcing you to do this. Right? And then the new form that it takes is *.

01:04:04 --> 01:04:05

* comes,

01:04:06 --> 01:04:16

you see it. Now on your cell phone. It's on your laptop. You go into the website, boom, it pops up in front of your face, all around you.

01:04:17 --> 01:04:25

This is the temptation. This is what is coming at us. It is like never before. This has hit humanity.

01:04:26 --> 01:04:45

And it's a serious struggle that we are involved in. And it comes directly from the devil himself. Because in backup a lot of this advertisement the companies that are there you will find devilish people say tannic cults and devilish stinking people

01:04:46 --> 01:04:53

trying to take you off the path and to make you lose your shame and lose your sense of modesty.

01:04:54 --> 01:04:59

The third part was the shape time will make you say about Allah, that which you know not

01:05:01 --> 01:05:03

People will try to make up their own religions now.

01:05:04 --> 01:05:10

They will try to change the religion like they want, taking it away from the Sunnah of the prophet SAW itself.

01:05:11 --> 01:05:12

So

01:05:13 --> 01:05:19

in terms of solutions going back to the United Nations, number eight

01:05:20 --> 01:05:23

of the 10 solutions, Number eight,

01:05:25 --> 01:05:38

the focus should be we should have a great focus on leisure time activities, leisure time activities for people from 15 to 24. What does that mean?

01:05:39 --> 01:05:41

On the weekend nights?

01:05:42 --> 01:05:43

Friday night,

01:05:44 --> 01:05:47

Saturday night, what are you going to do on Saturday night,

01:05:48 --> 01:06:06

in this part of the world, on the weekend, is when they come out to play. They work all week. And then on Friday night, they get involved in craziness, drink alcohol, take drugs. And then on Sunday, they go to church and say, Well, God, forgive me if they go to church.

01:06:07 --> 01:06:09

But on Monday, they go back to work.

01:06:11 --> 01:06:13

This is how the society is being set up.

01:06:15 --> 01:06:18

That it is impacting on the younger generation, seriously.

01:06:20 --> 01:06:33

So it's something we need to talk about, especially for the teenagers, between 15 and 20. For that age group, usually in communities, there's program for the young children.

01:06:35 --> 01:07:06

And then for the adults, but the ones in the middle. There's usually not many programs, and that's where the crisis is. Because what will happen out of this is that two phases will develop. You have one face for the masjid, and another face, for your friends, or for public school. But if you go to public school, so when you see him at home, he's Beloved, and beloved is a nice little boy. Mashallah, not too bad.

01:07:07 --> 01:07:13

But when he goes to school, he gets an attitude, and is not allowed anymore. He's Billy

01:07:18 --> 01:07:20

Ali is Al

01:07:22 --> 01:07:23

asiyah is Asia.

01:07:25 --> 01:07:33

The change their names, and sometimes they change not only their name, but they change their personality.

01:07:34 --> 01:07:35

That's the dangerous part.

01:07:37 --> 01:07:46

And you can't blame the young people for this because the father, he was going to work. His name is Mohammed. So he told the people on the job just called me Mo.

01:07:47 --> 01:07:48

Just call me Mo.

01:07:49 --> 01:07:51

It's okay. So he changed his name.

01:07:52 --> 01:07:59

And the young boy, he watches his father, and they say his mo home. Okay, Mo, Mo, yo, come over here.

01:08:00 --> 01:08:02

So the young boy, he changed his name to Billy.

01:08:03 --> 01:08:23

But he took it a step further, and he changed his attitudes. So one day, Bilal is growing up. But he turns into Billy at school. And when he comes home, he becomes Bilbao. And one day he forgot to change, that when he got home, the father turned around, and Billy was standing in front of

01:08:24 --> 01:08:28

and the father said it's time for salaat. And Billy said, Why?

01:08:30 --> 01:08:38

Why do I have to do this? And then a crisis develops. So this is a serious issue to faces.

01:08:39 --> 01:08:44

The issue of the wedge Hey, the prophet SAW Selim said,

01:08:45 --> 01:09:23

touchy, touchy human, sharada, NASS, and de la he yomo, Fiamma. Bula watch Hey, Olivia T. How will be watching? Well, how will that be watch? Oh, come upon, you will find the most despicable person on the Day of Judgment is the one with two faces, to watch as he comes to with one group, one face, and another group with another face. So we have to learn how to have one face. And that's not easy today, right? That's not easy. It's going to require courage. knowledge of the sooner

01:09:25 --> 01:09:26

the sooner is brought.

01:09:28 --> 01:09:35

It's not one particular way to carry out things. And that's what the young people need to learn how to maneuver with Islam.

01:09:37 --> 01:09:40

And to stay out of the problems. Number nine.

01:09:41 --> 01:09:45

This is the solution of the United Nations International problem.

01:09:46 --> 01:09:53

What's the solution? The priority area number nine is girls and young women.

01:09:54 --> 01:09:59

For too long, the programs in the Muslim community only with a male's

01:10:00 --> 01:10:08

Only for men only buzzer hunter law this community, things have changed. When I was here some years ago, we would have an Islamic conference.

01:10:09 --> 01:10:13

And the men would be in one section talking about Akita and fit

01:10:14 --> 01:10:23

and Hadith. And the women are in another area having a lecture about Islamic cooking. What is the latest samosa?

01:10:24 --> 01:10:26

The most authentic samosa?

01:10:28 --> 01:10:39

No, that has to end the same aqeedah, the same fick the same Hadith, the same Tafseer needs to be studied by the women as well as the men.

01:10:40 --> 01:10:50

That's the way it wasn't the time of the prophet SAW Salah How could I Isha wrote the law on her report? The second most Heidi? How could she do that if he didn't have knowledge?

01:10:51 --> 01:10:53

That's the way it's supposed to be.

01:10:56 --> 01:10:57

So this is a priority area.

01:10:59 --> 01:11:04

And number 10, of the priority areas, full participation

01:11:06 --> 01:11:17

of the youth in the programs of the community. That's not just youth programs, they should be young people who sit on the leadership in the community.

01:11:18 --> 01:11:23

That's the way the prophet SAW Selim used to do it. He had young people sitting next to him,

01:11:24 --> 01:11:42

and learning how to be leaders. So when it was time for them to take over as leaders, they have no problem. They move right into it. So this is a crucial thing. And this is a serious struggle because as the Quran says, In the hula comb I do when mubi

01:11:43 --> 01:11:49

The devil is an open enemy to you. So when these things are coming at us, it's a serious thing.

01:11:50 --> 01:12:12

When your shame is being taken away, * is a dangerous thing. It's destroying our minds. And the prophet SAW Selim said he's alimta study, first, not much better. If you don't have higher, if you don't have modesty, you can't turn your gaze, then do what you want to do. Or you're capable of doing anything.

01:12:13 --> 01:12:16

So the first thing they want to break down is your modesty.

01:12:19 --> 01:12:29

And then open you up, just like Nike, Nike used to have on these shirts, they used to say, just do it. Remember, just do it. What does that mean?

01:12:30 --> 01:12:36

Do anything, right, you have no shame, you have no limits, you have no law, just do it.

01:12:38 --> 01:13:00

That's how they come at you. And that's the basis of the society. So we need to think about some serious programs. Alhamdulillah this center is advanced, I can tell by but my brother's here and people who have been involved in the field. But what we are saying to young people spend as much time as you can, outside the city, in in nature.

01:13:01 --> 01:13:05

go hiking, camping, turn off your cell phone,

01:13:06 --> 01:13:24

turn it off, no television, go into creation of Allah, then you will see the perfection of Allah subhanaw taala. Go into creation growth site, see how allies creative things, sleep outside in a tent. get up in the morning and make fun outside.

01:13:26 --> 01:13:32

Right learn manhood womanhood in the Islamic way, not the gangster way.

01:13:34 --> 01:13:46

So this is a crucial thing. Activities need to be action or 100 ala you have a basketball court action oriented, the younger generation needs action to move around.

01:13:47 --> 01:14:16

deal with the issues that I know that you have. But what I recommend always is that the young people we form hotus circles and we listen let the young people talk that the young people say what the problem is, and not we tell you what the problem is. We want to hear from you. What is the problem? And I've done that in many countries. And when that happens, you'll be surprised what you hear.

01:14:17 --> 01:14:36

So that needs to be done a programs need to be structured in an organized fashion action oriented programs. Remember these 10 areas, okay, the crises areas violence, erosion of traditional values, disease, poverty, drugs

01:14:37 --> 01:15:00

10 priority areas, education, employment, hunger and poverty, health, environment, drug abuse, juvenile delinquency, leisure time activities, girls and young women. Full parties participation, full participate participation of the youth in society.

01:15:00 --> 01:15:04

IoT and decision making full participation.

01:15:06 --> 01:15:15

So I leave you with these thoughts and I will come back and shala to discuss this after salata. couvercle the habit was thoughtful lolly Welcome wassalam What a

01:15:16 --> 01:15:16

day

01:15:22 --> 01:15:22

the way
