Alhamdulillah
peace Salaam Alaikum. And welcome to this edition of the beauties of Islam. We reserve islam.com is the website that we have, you can do some follow there and watch more of the programs like this.
And one of the things that I think that I would like to speak about today is our relationship again, we've talked about our relationship between the human beings. And along later
we talked about the relationship somewhat about our Prophet peace be upon him, and the rest of the creation, even the animals, birds, trees and flowers. But today I'd like to focus a little bit more on our relationship to the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
Some people will tell you, I love a law. Isn't that enough? I love God. Isn't that enough? Just leave me alone.
In the Quran, Allah spoke about that real clear. When he said gulin Quantum to he Bulava taboo. And he's telling the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him what to say when these people are saying I love a law, I love God. say to them, if you really love a law, then follow me.
Because then Allah will love you. And he will forgive your sins. And he's the forgiver and the merciful. So it's imperative for us to realize at the outset, that the human being once they've accepted that there really is only one God. But they must also accept the messenger who brought the message about this one God. And he's not bringing anything No, he's not speaking of himself. This is not something he made up. Rather, this is something of revelation that is come from the rugby law, I mean, the Lord of the worlds.
And when Allah first sent the first of all mankind, which was Adam, he sent him with the same message, there is a God, and he's one and you have to obey Him on His terms, in each of the successive prophets who came after that came with the same message, Abraham peace be upon him, he also came with this message, Moses, peace be upon him, David, peace be upon him, sulan on peace be upon him, Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, all of them, that came with this message. There's only one God, worship God without any partners. This is the message they bought, none of them said, I'm God worship me. None of them said, I've got a brand new religion, check this out. None of them had a
sign out in front of their house, religion for sale by owner. In fact,
each of them have this same beautiful message, one God, worship him on his terms. And this is the message which came also with Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. But what Allah says in on a day allow to Russell, which means obey Allah, and obey His Messenger, and whoever does this. In fact, this is the complete obedience to allow when they obey the messenger who brought that message.
What was it that each of these prophets said Really? Well, here's what Allah tells us in the Quran about the people before us. The people before us were not ordered anything more than what Walmart only wrote it Lily Yabba Doo aloha meclizine Sinhala who didn't own the power, while you allow you to sucker for that, it could be
that a lot of saying here, these people before us, the Jews, the Christians, and all of those who followed the monotheistic belief, they were never ordered anything more than this, to believe in the law and keep the religion pure for him on his terms, worshiping him without partners, establishing the regular worship, paying the charity to the poor. And this is the true religion of God. This is the true way, the true way of the believers that follow these prophets. And now when we think about that was what now should be our relationship, what should be our relationship with the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. He's the one who has been sent by Almighty God with this
message. He's the one entrusted with the last and final of the revelations called the Koran. And he's the one who set the example for us and showed us how to live the life of a Muslim. He showed us how to fulfill our purpose, by living up to the standards that are set for us, by our Creator and our sustainer.
We shouldn't worship the man who brought the message, of course, but we should worship the creator in the way that this man
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him worship the Creator.
And by the way, when we think about that, we should also notice the way he treated other people as well. What was his way? What was his methodology, or as they call it in Arabic men, Hodge, all of this and more I want to discuss in detail, but I want to give you a chance to think about what I'm talking about. So I'm gonna let you sit there for a minute. Think about this, we'll take a break. And then we'll be right back with more about the beauties, the beauties of Islam.
You're right back back and you're watching the beauties of Islam. I'm used to Festus, we've been talking about a very important topic of the relationship between the human being and the Prophet, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, but for the benefit of those who are not Muslims, and you're not quite sure about this, or maybe you disagree with that, I'd like to share with you the concept is not different than what it has always been. At the time of Noah, you remember Noah and the ark, that people then were commanded to believe in God worship Him and obey Noah, and Noah was telling them nothing more than this, believe in God and get in the ship. Before the rain comes, the water is
gonna come, the ships gonna float and the people will drown. Those who chose to believe him and followed him were saved, and those who didn't drowned.
So each of these pockets whether it was Moses telling the children of Israel Follow me, and they followed him through the Red Sea, and that must have been pretty scary when you think about the water being parted and they went through. This is mentioned in the Quran. The people of Abraham were ordered to follow him that people have locked or loot as he's called, and those who were ordered, follow your profit, follow your Prophet, the people of Jesus, peace and blessings be upon him, the last of the Israelite prophets that come to them. And look, he's telling them, follow me, follow me, follow me, obey the commandments, obey Allah, do what you're told to do follow me.
And those who followed him, they were successful. But those who chose not to follow him and made up something else, obviously that wouldn't be successful. And their warning now comes to you, you Muslims out there listening to me right now, you need to realize that we can make the same mistake as anybody else. And when we deviate away from following our Prophet Mohammed, this is when we're gonna have a big problem. Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him is our example. He's our hero. He's our mentor, he is the one that we look to, to see how we should behave, how we should act.
Let me give you an example about something and let you think about it. Some people will say, well, there's so not meaning things that Prophet did peace be upon him. And then there are things which we have to do, which is in the Koran. But by the way, this is a big mistake, because we don't differentiate between what the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him has ordered this and what Allah has ordered is not really because a lot order says in the Quran to establish the salah masala stablished this worship, but how do we know how to do it if we don't look to Muhammad peace be upon how? Because the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is showing us how to stand how to face how to
bow and more important Look at this. He's telling us how many times in the Quran it doesn't mention five times a day. And then some people say okay, okay, I will take that. And that makes sense in the past thing. Yes, I'll do it. But what about the normal things he did every day? For instance? You see, I'm sitting here and I'm drinking.
Okay, so what the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him used to sit when he drank or ate. You say, Okay, now, please, you're not gonna tell me this is something in Islam? Actually, it is. As a matter of fact, it was known that only time that he ever stood and drank anything was if it was something called Zen Zen water that comes from Mecca. Other than that, he sat when he ate and drank. He sat down. Now, if you said, Okay, this is too much, okay, this is extreme.
Well, guess what happened to me is not a joke. I was coming home late one night, from a fundraising program. And on the way home, I was about to fall asleep driving, and my little daughter turned up the radio real loud to keep me awake, Daddy, wake up, wake up, you know. And she turned up the radio. And when she did the voice on the radio is a doctor and he was speaking in he said, always sit down when you eat or drink. And I went home, who said that? He said, always sit down when you eat or drink, never stand when you eat or drink. And I'm thinking Wait a minute, and it woke me up. And it woke me up good and I listened to his program all the way to our house. He was saying that if
you knew the damages that are caused to the internal organs of the body, by standing up when you eat or drink, you would never do that. Now. Keep in mind
This man is just a doctor, he has nothing to do with Islam, nothing to do with the Quran, nothing to do with Prophet sallallahu wasallam. He's telling you for your health, that your esophagus cares, you get hiatal hernia, you wind up with this reflux, when you have an indigestion that burns and it kicks back up in you, the stomach is damaged, the liver is damaged, the kidneys are damaged. He's naming so many things about the lower bowel or the extended this and that. And so, and he's given so many examples of the damages caused, he said we would reduce the amount of surgery by a huge percentage, and people would not be so sick all the time, people would be much healthier if they
would just learn how to sit down when they eat or drink.
This is coming to us from home. This is coming to us from those people who would glorify the Oh is a big sign it is a big doctor is Wow, he knows everything. He's from the west. Amazing, isn't it. But the same things were taught to us 1400 years ago, by the messenger, the Messenger of the Creator, the one who created all of us in the first place, who clearly made it known to us how to deal with the body that he gave us. But now now if I choose to follow that now if I sit down when I eat or drink, am I doing it for my body? Am I doing it for my health? Or am I doing it for my Lord, because I'm following the messenger that he sent. And that's something you'll have to deal with inside of
yourself. But if you had any doubts before this should remove every single doubt you have about following the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. He was sent as the law said in the Quran, as a mercy to the mankind. He was sent as a mercy he's an example to us. And he's the watchman to the alameen mercy to the world.
Who Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him. We know as Muslims, that is our messenger, that did we stop and think that he's given us the full example of everything in our life.
The Quran comes to us as the last and final revelation. And the Prophet peace be upon him is the example of that how to live in. It was his own wife, his own wife who said this about him. She said, if you would like to see an example of the Quran in motion, look to the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon you.
Well, we've run out of time already in this episode. And there's so much more that we wanted to tell you about. So catch us on the internet at beauties of islam.com beauties of islam.com, where you find this and many other programs talking about the beauties of Islam. Till next time. Peace, Salam Alaikum, we're off to llobregat Welcome to this week's edition of the beauties of Islam.
I'm your host us Festus. And for the next few minutes, we're going to be talking about one of the many beauties of Islam. And you can visit our website on the Internet at WWW dot beauties of islam.com. To watch programs like this and learn more about these beauties of Islam. Today, I'd like to continue talking about our relationship, our relationship with our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. In previous episodes, we've talked already about the other prophets such as Noah and David and Suleyman, Abraham, and Moses, and also Jesus Christ, peace be upon them. We discovered that, in fact, the people who followed them at their time were the true believers, and
all people who are entitled to go to Paradise. Likewise, Islam is teaching us that today those who know and understand the message that came with Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon Him and follow Him will also receive the same salvation, the salvation of going to paradise.
Along the way, what we discovered was that there are even details of our lives that are found in the sooner, sooner means the way the way of Prophet Muhammad, that are beneficial to us in this life. And certainly in the next life. We found that in the Quran, the teaching is to obey Allah and obey His Prophet, that he is the example for all of us. He's the mercy to all of the worlds. And also he's the example to mankind to know how to live, how to act, even how to die. And that's what I wanted to speak about today is this concept of knowing how to live and die. A lot tells us in the Quran that we were created in the very beginning inside of our mothers from something called an
Allah. And these were the first verses the first words actually, that came of the revelation. The Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, was about 40 years old at the time and he was in a cave meditating near Mecca, in a place called Jebel nor or the mountain blight and
The angel came to him the angel jabril came to him. This is Gabriel in English language. And when he came to him, he commanded him in the Arabic language FRR Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, just like what do you want me to do? He said to him again, Ecuador. Pablo Mohammed said, because he said echo. Now what is the echo? What does that mean? Now a lot of people translate that to be the word read, read, but is it really the word read? Actually, no, it's not. It means something bigger than that. It means to recite as in reciting from memory to recite, and what shall I recite
the Quran Bhisma Arabic Allah de holla Calico in San Ameen aka echo well rabuka Allah, the Alma bill, Calum allama in Santa Monica, Milan, and the meaning more or less, the English language is saying that recite in the name of your Lord who created created the human being from a leech like clot of blood.
And that's exactly what we find today is the beginning of a human being. He starts out like this little teeny plot, plot of blood shaped like a leech, inside of his mother inside the ROM of his mother, the place of mercy.
Recite and your Lord is so generous, who taught men how to use the pin taught the human beings what they didn't know. And who is this this is the Lord of the worlds who's speaking to us, via this conductor which happens to be the angel Gabriel jabril.
Now when Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him comes he has the revelation that people are listening to what he's saying. But at the same time, his life itself is an example for us.
Consider this near some of the things that he lived he could preach if he wanted to, but how about live it? So many times we hear people talk the talk, but we don't get to see them actually walk the walk.
We hear preachers for instance, today telling us about not having * until marriage and then we find out some of these preachers themselves are doing these things. Now what kind of an example does that set for our youth? Certainly not anything. I'm impressed with you either. We hear people speaking about a lot of things but they don't live up to it. The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. On the other hand, I want you to listen to this.
He never ever even had a date with a girl much less even kiss any girl until he got married at the age of 25 years old. He himself was a virgin, and he married a lady who had been a widow. Her name was Khadija radi Allahu Allah. That means May Allah accept from her. She was the first to believe in him as a prophet. And she was the first to support him in his efforts as a prophet.
And you know, he was married to her for all those years, until she passed away. And he never even looked at another woman. So much so that this is one of the parts is a good example for us as men, Muslim men today that we don't consider anything other than marriage to a woman. And when we're married to her, we don't consider anything else with any other woman. And that's the teaching of Islam. But he lived the example to show it to us.
People often want to criticize our Prophet Muhammad and talk about well, he had so many marriages.
But in reality, I'm gonna tell you something. It's not like marriages that people think about today. Today, marriages are a matter of convenience to people get what they want, for themselves, their own gratification.
And a lot of people don't even bother to get married to get their gratification, and you know what I'm talking about there. But in Islam, it was always forbidden and still forbidden today, for a man or woman ever to have a relationship outside of marriage. If a man is married, he can have all the relationships he wants with his wife, and she with her husband, as much as they like, within certain limitations. How beautiful that relationship is.
But never even as a joke. Should Muslims even consider something about doing anything outside of marriage.
And Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was the best example. Now let's talk about his marriages. He only had one wife until she passed away. And then he took a wife, who was an older woman that other people maybe didn't want to marry. She was a very big lady, but he married her. He married a woman who is very old beyond the age of even having a desire for men, but she needed somebody to care for her to take care of her, be responsible for her and he accepted that responsibility.
He was offered the marriage of his best friend, his best friend was offering him marriage to his daughter, when she was very young. And when we come back from the break, I want to talk about the marriage of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him to his wife, I shall stay right there. I know you're gonna want to hear this. When we come back with more about the beauties of Islam, we're back and you're watching the beauties of Islam, we've been talking about the relationship that we as Muslims have, with the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. We've discussed how he is the example for us. We particularly talked about * life, and we were saying that the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him,
he had never ever engaged in anything like this, except in legal marriage to his wife.
We left off in the last part of this episode, talking about his marriage to Irish, I'm sure many of you want to know about this. This is the famous story that many people have twisted way out of shape, and certainly something for us to delve into. And I want to at least briefly touch on this subject. People have accused the Prophet Mohammed Salah Salaam peace be upon him of some very illicit actions, especially with regard to this topic. So let us examine exactly what it's really about. First of all, the teaching that we have comes from Aisha herself. The all we know about her age is what she said herself. So the first thing we would ask you is do you believe her? And if you
said, Yes, do you believe her and everything she says, are just some things. If she was going to testify in a court of law, would you accept everything? She said? Because we would, we'll be the first to accept what she said. But do you know what it was she said? Actually, here's how she presented it. She said she was outside playing in the dirt with her toys with her friends, whatever. Her mother comes to her. Now listen carefully, her mother comes to her and doesn't Let's go inside the house. So they go inside. Now when she gets inside, she finds her father is there now so far, mother and father, okay. And her father is offering her in marriage to Prophet Muhammad, peace and
blessings be upon him. Understand, clearly, it was not the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him that came to them saying, hey, I need a wife. It was the other way around. They were coming to him and saying, look, we would like it very much if you consider marriage to our daughter, because this was known to be a customer, the tribes at that time to offer their young daughters, even when they were first born to offer them in marriage, that when the child is old enough, take the child and that your wife.
But what we found in Islam is something amazing. In chapter four, verse 19, the Quran, Allah clearly says, Oh, you who believe you do not inherit women against their will. So women could no longer be married off without their own consent. And it's not considered that a young girl 678 10 years old is old enough to make such a choice. Not until she reaches the age of puberty, and she has the full mental capacity and maturity to make that decision. That's what we learned from this example. Because guess what, in the rest of the story, she said, she went back outside to play.
Now, how could anybody get anything out of that, except the clear message that they didn't get married at that time, because she did go back out to play. Now there's another Hadeeth, or story that comes in she again tells us she was older. This is another example of not understanding correctly. And many people don't even maybe some Muslims don't either. But it's clear this was another occasion because she's older now. And now her mother again comes to her takes her inside. And her father is again offering her and marriage to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. And guess what? it this time she was old enough, mature enough and old enough to have children and she made
the decision herself to accept that her father was offering her in marriage. And she said yes, she would like to be married to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. If I stopped there, that's sufficient for you and I to realize that this is not a story of something bad. It's a story of something good because look at this. She then continues and I'm gonna ask you if you accept one thing she says Do you accept at all because she continues, and she says that it was the best of relationships, they used to run and play together. She said, I used to race with him. And I used to beat him in the races. But then when I got old, in fact, she said get fatter, you know, that he
could beat her in the races and they used to play it and they had a lot of things they did to get. She used to teasing. She used to play games against them. One time she even did something that's mentioned in Quran about dell'Anima honey smell bad on his breath. And that was out of jealousy. These are many stories we can talk about. But the main thing is to know what was the relationship between her and her husband. And it was such that even after he died, that she continued to be so faithful to him. She never considered ever
Marrying another man. Even though she was a young lady, maybe in early 20s. She never considered to get married to any other man. All of her life, she continued to say only the very best about her husband. In her whole entire life. She never said any disparaging word against her husband. In fact, I'd like you to think of this, instead of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, where two young kids go against their parents, and they commit suicide. Here we have the story of Mohammed and Ayesha, who are in love so much that even death didn't separate them, and they had the highest hope for a life together in the paradise. You choose which of the teaching sounds the best to you. For me, it's one
of the beauties of Islam. Until next time, peace
smilla hamdulillah Salaam Alaikum peace and blessings be upon you. And welcome to this week's edition of beauties of Islam. We have a website called beauties of islam.com I hope you'll visit the site, check out some of the programs like this, and take the opportunity to learn more about what we're talking about these beauties of Islam.
My name is Yousef estus. And I will be talking today about the continuing relationship that we have as human beings with the various aspects of our all the things around us. One of the things I want to talk about again is the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. And today we find a strange thing amongst some of the Muslims believing that the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is still alive, that he speaks to them or comes to them and visions. And so I want to talk about that a little bit and determine exactly what is the relationship Muslims today have with our Prophet peace and blessings be upon him. In fact, it is known, well known that Prophet Muhammad peace be trying died
at the age of 63. And he was buried in his still buried in the same place in Medina, in Saudi Arabia. Now, what about those people who will tell us that? Well, no, but you know, he talks to me. Well, there are other religions to where people claim that they're hearing voices and things that are being said to them by their God, or their prophets or by something. But in fact, the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him himself told us some very important information, he said to us that
there will be no new message will come, no new profit is going to come and no new message is going to come. It's not going to be any more revelation after him. So the Quran is the last and the final of all revelation, he did tell us Jesus peace be upon would come back, Jesus Christ will come back, he told us that, but not as a new Prophet, and not with new revelation. He also told us that and listen to this real careful, because this is the Hadith that he told us. He says to us that
the devil, the shaitaan, cannot take his form in a dream. So if you see him in a dream, then it was really him. And then He really said that. Now what did he mean by that? Well, some of the scholars have told us
in fact that this is, this is for the benefit of those people who knew him knew what he looked like, and knew him at that time. And they had seen him so they would know what he looked like. But how would it be today? If somebody said, Well, I saw him in a dream, but you never saw him before? So how would you know that that was him? So that's one of the discussions that people are having about our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. But in any case, I will tell you without a doubt, today, our Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is with us in a special way, how his but his Hadith, his teachings, his son, which is very clear to us, very clear to us, as Muslims, we know it
exists and we can follow it. And this can be something very good for us. All of us. We love the Prophet Mohammed so much. We say after his name, salaam Allahu alayhi wa, salaam, peace and blessings be upon him. This is something every Muslim should say after they mentioned Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu salam, but now
what is it we really want? And for me, I think I understand rather well that the Prophet Mohammed told us that he is going to be in a part of the paradise called genital for dosa, Allah. This means the highest, the highest of the highest heaven, and then he is going to be there and it's the closest to all of the other prophets. He's going to be in the proximity of the other prophets of the Prophet David, the Prophet Adam, the prophet Abraham, and Prophet Moses and prophet Suleiman and profit Noah, Prophet, loot prophet Are you job, all of these prophets, peace and blessings be upon all of them. This is the proximity work
Prophet Mohammed is going to be now do you want to talk about you saw him in a dream here? Or do you want to talk about being with him in reality in the next life and I think this makes the most sense. And it helps us really to put some other things in perspective to you see, Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was insistent when he told us Do not eulogize me, dude, raise me up and make me something that I'm not eulogize is the word we use in English for the word he used in Arabic, don't make me bigger than what I am. And nothing more than what and he said, I'm nothing more than a slave of Allah, a worshiper of a law, and just a simple messenger, a human being like you, this is what he
was telling us. And yet today, you have people who are trying to make him something that is that he never said he was trying to make it like he's floating around in the air that he is in this place. And he's in that place in speaking to people from behind rocks, and who knows what. So when we hear these kinds of things, we as Muslims should be responsible to say, Hey, wait a minute, this is not reality. This is just something that you're coming up with. This is something that you're saying and doing that, that really has no basis in Islam, if we don't find a teaching for that, and find, in fact, we find that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him denied any kind of super powers, or
supernatural existence, that he was, in fact, a human being. And in fact, he did have a shadow. And there are those who are out here saying we didn't have a shadow. And why would you say something like this? Why would people make up these things? Well, I can understand that you have a great love and affection for our Prophet peace be upon him. But you know what, when you really love somebody, what should you do? And a lot told us in the Quran clearly about it. grueling content to he wouldn't allow fatality, only you become Allah.
Allah hoga for him. So let's think about this. And we'll go to break and the meaning of it, say to them,
when they say they love a lot, if you really love a lot, then you should do what you should be following me. Follow me, then allow you, he'll forgive your sins. He's Forgiving, the Merciful. Stay right there. Don't go away. We're gonna be right back after this break. And we'll continue talking about this important subject about our relationship with mom subtle Allahu alayhi wa sallam. Why did I start with that? Well, the last words I said when we went to break was Muhammad. And then I'm saying now peace and blessings be upon him. Because it happens that Muhammad peace be upon him, told us how important it is for us to say these words after his name. And this is not a joke. And this is
not exaggeration. This is real. One time.
The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was with his companions. And he stepped up, you know, like, on some steps, he stepped on a first step. He said, I mean, he moved to the next step. And he said, I mean, then he went to the top step. He said, mean, and he came back now, I said, was that
they didn't understand what's going on. He said, Oh, you didn't know the angel Gabriel had come to me. And he was saying something. And after each thing I said, I mean, one of the steps that he stepped on, is when the angel Gabriel said to him, that his Curse of a law, the law, is called learned to law, which means a personal law is the one who doesn't take care of their parents when they get old. And as a result, they wind up they go to * and the curses on them because of their bad treatment to their parents. I said, I mean,
and another one, he said, when he took one of the steps, the angel said to him, the curse learned to law on the one who goes through Ramadan, and he doesn't get a lot of mercy means he didn't fast Ramadan. He didn't stay away from food and drink and so on. He just treated it like any other month, and a curse all on him. I said, I mean, he said, and then the other step he took is when he said, The angel comes to me jabril you know, Gabriel, and said to me, curses on the one who when he hears your name, he doesn't say sallallahu alayhi wa salam. And I said, I mean, from this, we learned that it's important when you say Mohammed, you said peace be upon him, or Salva vida Salaam, or select
Priscilla. This means that you're asking for a loss of peace for him. Now, what's important about that, because every time you do it, he peace be upon him, is also making sure to make God for you too. Because on the Day of Judgment, its Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and his prayers for those who are in the Hellfire for them to get out. Which brings us very interesting subject about one of the beauties of Islam. And I just want to touch on this just for a second let you think about it. You know, in Islam, we don't believe
All Muslims necessarily go to Paradise. And we don't believe that everybody else just goes to * automatically either. No, we don't. In fact, we know that anybody who believes there's only one God, and they're worshipping him to the best of their ability, according to what they know, they'll find a reward with their Lord. This is true of the followers of Moses that knew him and followed him, they went to paradise, the followers of Abraham, the followers of Noah, the followers of David and sudima, and certainly the followers of Jesus Christ, peace and blessings be upon him, any of them that recognized his teaching law, there's only one God to worship, and they followed him to the best
of their ability that would be successful in this life and the next life. And certainly, that's true Muslims as well. But at the same time, we're going to tell you that anybody who just says I'm a Muslim, that isn't a guarantee for them. And the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, made it real clear. After one of his prayers, he turned to his companions, and he said, Nobody will enter Paradise Illa, except by the Rockman of Allah,
nobody will enter Paradise except by the mercy of Allah. They said, even you, he said, Even me. So we see right away that it doesn't mean that we, as Muslims are automatically saved. What it means is, we as Muslims have a chance, have a chance, because at least we know the right way. And we should be acting on that. It's more of a responsibility on those who know than those who don't know.
One of the things Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, was that, if any of the Jews and Christians hear about me, know about me know about the message I've been sent with, and don't accept that, they'll be amongst the losers, they'll go in the fire of *.
Now, what does that mean? It's clear, if anybody hears the message, the message is, there's only one God worship Him and accept that. And understand that Muhammad peace be upon him is bringing that message. If you understood it, and then you rejected it. Of course, it makes sense. So the teaching in Islam, isn't that by being a Muslim, you automatically are saved. As a matter of fact, it's very clear that in Islam, that even the scholars of Islam can go to *, yes, because Allah will start the fire of * with those who breached Islam, but they didn't live it.
And people will say to them, and to help our Oh, so and so you were always preaching about Islam, you see, yeah, but I didn't live it. I didn't do it. I told everybody else. So we asked a lot of savings from that.
And, again, I want to go back and capsulize this short little episode of the beauties of Islam, by mentioning that the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, was nothing more than a human being. But he was the greatest human beings. He was nothing more than a messenger, but he was the best of the messengers. He was nothing more than a human man. And at the same time, it was the best of all of them. We don't want to overstate it, but we don't want to understate it. And when we mentioned his name, we say sallallahu alayhi wa Salaam. And we have more about this on another one of our websites. Usually we just mentioned our main website, but I'm going to tell you this when it's
called Mohammed A to Z, you might want to check it out. And also talking about websites Don't forget our website, beauties of islam.com. Till next time, peace, be upon you. salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah. You're watching beauties of Islam. I'm your host, you suppress this and for the next few minutes, I want to continue talking about our relationship, our relationship with our surroundings, and in particular, we've been talking about our relationship with Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. What we discovered in our previous episodes is that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is the best of all the human beings centers as an example, on how to live our lives as true
Muslims, and also that he was sent as the mercy to mankind. Also, we learned that he is the example of the Quran itself in motion, all of these things, but at the same time, we learned that we don't eulogize him and make him to be something he's not even asked us not to celebrate him as the Christian to the over celebrated Jesus. And they raised Jesus peace be upon him to a status, in some cases, calling him a son of God, in other cases, calling him a partner with God in a trinity and in some cases, even Sandy was God Himself. And these are the kinds of statements that are totally rejected by the Muslims, although By the way, we believe Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, and we
believe the Quran. We believe that Jesus is the Messiah, he is the Christ. He is the logos, which is the q&a Greek, which means word. He is the word that became flesh. We know that we have no doubt about it, but at this time
time we don't say, God. And this is exactly what we're telling the Muslims don't do this to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, because you got some extremists out here saying things about Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
May Allah guide all of us, it's too much. Some people want to celebrate his birthday. And in fact, they're, I don't know if they know this or not, it's never been guaranteed exactly what they is his birthday. So why do that? Why not listen to what he told you? And instead of going out and inventing something that he didn't ever authorize, we could do something even better? And what could that be? Why don't we consider some of the teachings of Muhammad, look to his Hadeeth, I would share with you that there are some excellent books that you could read, whether you read Arabic or English, there's a lovely collection called riada. Salah
means the gardens of the pious, oh, I read this, I enjoyed so much. There's a shorter book by the same author. And this is Imam and now a week. It's called arbaeen. And this means the 40 Headey now when you get a chance to read this, you'll be surprised there's only like 40 Hadith here. For to see things in there. And you think Wow, look at this is so amazing, a beautiful teaching here teaching me how to respond to people how to have the relationship that I should have with others, just like I was telling you about. Give me example, somebody asked the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, what should I do that would make a lot of love me, and make the people love me more according to one of
the Hadith we find in our vein, it is to do what it is to loosen up and do what and it says here to just
don't go after the doing, don't seek after the material things, give that up for a law and give up what the people have against you, for the sake of the law. In other words, make a law your object in this life. And don't be coming around here. And in looking for all the material things, you'll be going to the people and giving them a hard time about everything relaxed, lighten up, and enjoy your life as what as a believer.
And another teaching that I really was impressed with it said he's not a believer that he fills his stomach and goes to bed at night with stomach is full, but his neighbor's stomach is still empty. It also tells us that it's not the way of the believer that he should just keep talking and talking and talking about everything. As a matter of fact, he said, What means that if you just repeat everything you hear in the dates time, in fact, you will be a liar. Just go around, listen and repeat everything you hear, then you could be considered to be a liar simply because of what? repeating everything you hear. He tells us that he's not a believer who's going around to talk talk,
talk, talk, talk, talk, talk talk all the time, because this is going to be repeating things which are not true. Somebody asked him, What about a believer? Could he be a coward a job on somebody who runs away in a battle and still be a believer? He said it could happen. Yeah. He said, Well, what about somebody who is stingy with their money called backheel in Arabic? He's stingy said he could still be a believer. They said, What about a cut? If somebody is a liar? He said, No,
no, a liar is not a believer.
What we're learning here from this is to see what Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is teaching us and living that instead of worrying about celebrating something put on a party hat and make a cake.
Please, really, and I know there are going to be those who will be upset and they're going to say no, I'm going to do what I found my forefathers doing anyway, and Okay, all right. Okay. We don't have any argument with you. We just would like to encourage our youth to look to what is the value of the teachings of Ahmed, what did he really teach us to do how to live our life, as successful people in this life. And the most success that you'll ever find in this life, is when you can put aside your desires, put aside your wants and your needs and your lusts. For something that's more important. And listen to this teaching. You're not a believer, until you prefer for yourself, for
until you prefer for others, what you want for yourself. So what I want for myself, I should prefer the needs of others. This gives us a chance to take a little break. And when we come back, I want to pick up with more about this special relationship that we have with the Prophet Muhammad, you're watching beauties of Islam. Be right back after this break.
We're back and you're watching beauties of Islam. And I've been talking about something a little bit tough on some of the Muslims. I know when we talk about our relationship, our relationship to Mohammed
Peace be upon him. All of us. We love Muhammad so much. One of our programs we talked about that, that we always say some of the law I lay with Southern bc appointing after his name and that's important. We also thank the law so much for sending our Prophet Mohammed to us in our prayers at the end of our prayers when you see the Muslim at the end, you know, any raise their finger in the end of the prayer, and what are they saying, all of whom are suddenly Allah, Mohammed will Allah Allah, Mohammed, commerce elatedly bohem whether it bring him in.
And in this part of our prayer, which we're doing you imagine this we're doing this five times a day, every single day of our life, were sending the prayers and the peace and the blessings upon Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, and his family and powers as Allah had his prayers and peace and blessings on the Prophet Abraham, and his family and his followers. Now, I don't know if you've thought about the ramifications behind this is something really big, when you're talking about these kind of blessings for all of the the companions and all of the family of Mohammed, and then those who follow Him, this is something very beautiful. At the same time, we're saying, as you blessed and
put the Peace and blessings upon who the Prophet Abraham, and all of his family, and who are the family of Abraham. In fact, you see that Mohammed peace be upon him is actually asking about the blessings, which were given to Abraham, and his descendants, which is Jacob, or Yaqoob, and all of the tribes of Israel, and the Israelites and the children of Israel. And we're asking the Peace and blessings before all, all of those who believed in good righteous deeds, from the very beginning until this very moment, this is a beautiful thing to ask for, and our prayers, we see from this right away that it's not the Muslims, who are having a hatred, or having curses for those who went
before us not at all. In fact, these are mixed up people, anybody who is cursing, condemning to help other people.
This is not mentally healthy. This is not right. To talk about other people like that. If you find Muslims doing it, you should warn them. This is not healthy to go around cursing people all the time. It's much healthier to realize that if there are any shortcomings,
I guess they come from ourselves. Consider this teaching of Islam and consider this beauty. One of the big beauties of Islam is to know how did we get in this condition to start with? Why did we wind up like this? And Allah said in the Quran, that he greeted humans in the best form la hora la in Santa, Anita, when humans were in the best of form, when Allah created them, Allah said barely he created the human beings in the best of molds, thermo regarding a homeless Potter suffer me, then reduce them to the lowest of low and how is it that they got to this condition? What wasn't the bottom to this, and it was their own their own choices that they made the wrong way that put them
like that. And this is what a lot tells us in the Quran, that he doesn't change the condition of the people and kill the people change themselves. Now, when we understand that, we begin to really get one of the beautiful pictures of Islam, and that is if we find ourselves in good shape, really good shape with the law, he's not going to take us out of that unless we change something about ourselves, as in Adam in the first place. But also if we find ourself in a bad condition, he's not gonna pull us out of that until we change ourselves. And so this is so important for us to consider our relationship with a law, our relationship with Muhammad peace be upon him, our relationship with
each other, our relationship, even with our enemies and foes, because if our relationship is right, with all these than our relationship is right with a lot as well. Consider this teaching as well. That the Prophet Mohammed said, that whoever doesn't thank the people, doesn't thank Allah, and whoever can't give mercy will not be shown mercy.
If I want to be forgiven, I need to do what I need to learn how to forgive. If I want to be successful, I need to learn how to do what I need to learn how to have this proper relationship with my Lord, with my prophet with and with the true teachings of Islam. And this, my brothers and sisters is by far
the most of all of the beauties of Islam is to have this correct understanding of what Islam is really all about. I wish we had more time to tell you so many things. We have so many episodes.
