Maybe you've experienced this, where you've really, really wanted something before.
And no matter what you did, you couldn't get it. And you were maybe even disappointed that you couldn't get it.
Well, Allah subhanaw taala is the one who chooses to withhold, or to give.
Now, when Allah withholds something from you, he's not doing it because he doesn't love you. He's not doing it because he wants to punish you. He's doing it because he wants to help you. And he knows what's really good for you. I'll give you an example.
You probably would want to maybe eat candy every night for dinner. It sounds really good, right? Really fun, at least. Well, I guarantee you that after maybe 567 days of eating candy every day for dinner, maybe you start eating it for breakfast and lunch, too. You're not going to feel very good.
You're going to start to feel sick.
And so that's why we're not allowed generally, to eat candy like that, because it's not good for us. Our parents do this for us to help us out even though it's not what we want. Oh, Allah does the same thing with us. There are things that we really want that ALLAH knows and his wisdom aren't really the best things for us.
And there's other things that Allah gives us that we might not want at all, but are actually very good for us. That's part of the laws being alcohol, but
