My dear brothers and respected sisters ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to grant you peace and tranquility. And I ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to increase you in good action. Furthermore, I asked Allah subhanahu wa taala to unite us with our beloved prophet alayhi salatu was Salam in the highest of
my dear brothers and respected sisters.
It is narrated by Bukhari and Muslim in their authentic books, may Allah have mercy upon them
on the authority of atisha, or the law and that the Prophet alayhi salatu, Salam prayed, led the companions in the in the month of Ramadan.
He went out on the first night, and a few people followed Him in prayer.
And the next day as people
the news spread that the Prophet alayhi salatu salam had prayed PM, they follow the previous night. So the following night, that second night, more companions, more people gathered to pray with the Prophet alayhi salatu salam. And so following that night,
the news God, and on the third night, more people gathered, so much so
because of what they heard of the prayer of the Prophet alayhi salatu salam, so they can pray with him and attain the mercy from Allah subhanho wa Taala. So the Prophet alayhi salatu salam led them in salah
and the fourth night, the masjid, the news had reached all of Medina and the fourth night the masjid was overflowing, it was packed.
And the people were waiting for the Prophet alayhi salatu salam to enter the masjid so he can lead them in PM, as he has done or as he did in the previous nights. And the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam was nowhere to be seen.
So a man
called out to the prophet and he said a Salah, a solid prayer, as if you are trying to remind the Prophet alayhi salatu salam or inform him that we are waiting for you so that you can come out and lead us in Salah.
But the prophet alayhi salatu salam did not respond.
And so they were on this or in this day until the time of fellowship, where the then was called for fudger and the

entered the masjid to lead Salah solfeggio. And after the Salah, the prophet alayhi salatu salam praised Allah and testified to the oneness of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And he said to the people in the land of LA, mechanical,

and he recited and he recited parts of the night, he led parts of the night.

from the last days of Ramadan.

the meal that we have before starting our faster before we start abstaining from food and drink, and another fires of fasting.
And so these two ahaadeeth
and then after that night, he did not pray the remainder, the last two, the last two nights of Ramadan. the month of Ramadan.
And we know that it has a great importance. One of the first verses that were revealed to the Prophet alayhi salaatu wa Salaam where we're

especially in the month of Ramadan, the month that the Quran was revealed in but we might not benefit from it. Our situation

Because we are not conditioned. We have not prepared ourselves to take in this heavy, heavy words, these heavy words of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And so, the prophet alayhi salatu salam,
even though Allah subhanahu wa taala
has protected him from sin he is infallible.
He would stand in the night as an as it is narrated
until his feet would swell.
Can you imagine the length of standing before your your feet start to swell, you probably need to walk the whole day. And you know, you're still, you still might not be your few might still not be sworn in you might be you know, you might have a couple of hours in you.
But the prophet alayhi salatu salam would stand and the length of his standing would this would be the result.
Why do you do this? Why do you stand
in the night when Allah subhanaw taala has forgiven you your sins, he's forgiven. You don't need to stand in the night. Why are you doing it?

Now this is the status or the importance and significance of Korea outside of Ramadan.

And so it stands to reason that a lot of people

feelings when you're with me as you were outside, meaning you are a perfect slave of Allah subhanho wa Taala. The Prophet reminds you of something, you start crying, a prophet tells you, you have something you're joyous, you're happy. If this was the case outside, then the angels will meet you in the roads, and in your homes to greet you. You'll be amongst the angels, the angels don't, they don't say they don't disobey Allah subhanho wa Taala.
So he told him, he told him the law of the law and

We're prone to other things like relaxing after a long, hard day's work, fasting and kicking back and just taking a breather.
When we know this, we understand our nature and take the advice of the Prophet alayhi salatu salam, we will train ourselves to do
little tm, but we are consistent on it. So then when Ramadan comes we are encouraged and after Ramadan, it becomes a habit
becomes a habit. So no one
knows no one here needs to stand for all of the night.
If you can, and hamdulillah that's good.
But we know that we have shortcomings so
we can be consistent on praying 11 rock art we know that the Prophet alayhi salatu salam prayed 11 rakaat inauthentic right narration
so if every day we pray 11 rock art
every day we pray 11
and whenever we're feeling
a boost in our Eman, we read what Allah subhanho wa Taala allows whenever our Eman is low. And everybody has good days and bad days depending on the circumstances. Whatever our Eman is low, we still do the 11 Raka art, but we can recite one verse
just we think of it one one chapter
What are you going to be finished in? done in 15 minutes, 20 minutes.
If you read one verse,
just one verse poldhu, Allah, Allah one,
But the important important point here is that even if your Eman is low, you are not leaving a great worship
with great reward, because you are tired or because you cannot stand half of the night, or a third of the night, or the majority of the night. Rather, we are consistent on praying the Salah, the pmln, until it becomes a habit. And with the increase of good, then we start to feel the sweetness of very bad of the worship, hear their nature to enjoy. So when you want to have fun, what do you do? You go and pray to Allah subhanahu attallah that becomes your relaxation time, that becomes your fun, that becomes your joy.
It's about understanding ourselves.
And so the formula is simple. We know we need to enjoy, have fun and all of that. So the more we get closer to Allah on a consistent basis, that worship becomes in itself joy. And now we have over 100 overridden our predisposed nature to please Allah subhanho wa Taala
you might say yeah, in theory,
in theory sounds Yes. You know, hunky dory. Yes, good.
But no, in practice as well, because this is what the companions did. This is what the righteous predecessors did. Nobody stood in the night, from the first day reciting the whole Quran, people built up to that reciting a cup, a couple of you know, a couple 1020 and then got to a point where they can recite the Quran in one night. And that was their joy.
If we were to take if we were to take the Atlantic Ocean if we were to gather every drop of the Atlantic Ocean
and somehow able to move it and throw it at the Rocky Mountains, the Atlantic Ocean pick it up or the you know, the Pacific maybe a bit closer and throw it at
the Rocky Mountains. What will happen?
A get a nice wash, right? Is it going to move the mountain?
Is the water gonna move the mountain theoretically, water comes down? Is it gonna move? Is it gonna move mountains? No, it's just gonna wash it, maybe wash the snow off the
the tops of the mountain, you know, it'll be shiny and nice and
But if you were to take a rock, if you were to take a rock and put it under a faucet
and turn the tap on to one drop, just one drop, and leave it like that.
For some time,
that little drop because of its consistency. Because of its persistent, we'll make a hole through that rock.
It will make a hole through that rock.
We're not like the Prophet alayhi salatu salam,
we're inclined to to good into the worship of Allah subhanho wa Taala all the time. But that is why the Prophet alayhi salatu was Salam gave us the guidance that we need. So we can get closer to Allah subhanaw taala it is befitting of our shortcomings.
The Prophet alayhi salatu salam he would sleep to the point where you would hear his jerky or his his heartbeat, which is his snoring.
And so he would get up and he would pray, if any of that any of us we went to sleep and we started snoring we surely have to make well boo. This is not the signal disagreement on that. But when I showed the law and asked the Prophet alayhi salatu salam. He said that my eyes sleep but my heart does not.
My heart does not sleep.
through the guidance of the Prophet alayhi salatu salam through what he had instructed us to do.
From what we are able to bear
we can get closer to Allah subhanahu wa
Allah, especially in this blessed month
in Ramadan, attain the benefits and the rewards of fasting and standing for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And the whole point of fasting
as Allah subhanho wa Taala says lakum de
la lakum that so that you may attain taqwa so that you may attain that barrier that you can place between you and the punishment of Allah subhanho wa Taala. That's the whole point. That is why part of fasting is leaving off kolu the lying and the and the cursing and the slander and the backbiting and anything abstaining from anything by Allah subhanho wa Taala. Otherwise,
you're just, or we're just
hungry for no reason, and sleepless for no reason.
And we do not want to be in that situation. And that is why we have to look at how we can increase our worship, not how we can do the bare minimum, we want the pleasure of Allah subhanahu wa Tada. And we want all the roads that lead to that whatever it may be. And that is why it is not it is not important if it's regarded as worship or sooner. The important thing is that we are doing it. We know the ruling. We know that the prime minister said and said this is wajib. Or we know that that Allah ma said that this is why Egypt because the Prophet alayhi salatu salam commanded us to do it. As for other things, he is recommended. We know those rulings. But the important point here is doing
these actions regardless of their rulings so that we can get closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And so, my dear brothers and
respected sisters, ask Allah subhanahu wa taala, to give us the strength, to stand in the prayer in the night prayer for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala and to train ourselves to pray, even if it's a short prayer, even if each Raka is one verse, but we are consistent on pmla we make it a habit before Ramadan, and in Ramadan, because of the rewards that we want to attain from Allah subhanho wa Taala we make it we make it
imperative that we attend the Torah we and we invite our families and our neighbors and our family and our friends and advise the Muslims to join us in Torah we and not miss the Torah we tarawih for some socialization, some food or some some something you can do the rest of the year. Something you can do when Ramadan passes. This is a time that is limited a time that passes quickly. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to forgive us all. And we asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to give us the strength to fast and stand in the month of Ramadan. And we asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to give us Ramadan and to give us the ability to get closer to him subhanho wa Taala but hamdu Lillah wa salatu salam ala
