And for our youngster who are in the crowd here today, I want you to reflect upon this, this is not a message only for those who are familiar with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and those who are celebrating various occasions nowadays.

This is not for this is for all of us. This is your messenger and my messenger. This is your profit and my profit. He came to you there were amongst and if I may ask everyone to throw away and turn off all distractions, throw away and turn off all distractions, I want you to pay attention to this. This man came to you and me and as during his time,

for which you should have the sense of responsibility you are distinguished,

you are distinguished is the fact that Allah has selected a man from from amongst you, he selected one of you, not only one but the best, the best, he was the best in his childhood. He was the best in his in his adulthood, Sal, Allahu alayhi wa sallam, he was the best family man, he was the best in his characters on the law, he will send them the best in every fashion in every way. The most impressive. so impressive brothers and sisters, so impressive, right. And I don't have time today to relate to you what people said about him, including those who did not necessarily follow Him,

including some of his enemies, including, and not only people who were present at his site, because someone might may argue and say yes, and when he and I wish I had, and I wish we had some of these people may have opposed to him, and they were jealous. And they challenged him, some of them but they knew him. They knew him, they could not deny the assertions that they have made before he came to them and said, Allah has chosen me to bring you a message. They could not, of course, delete, they could not wipe out from the memory of people that they themselves used to call him. And I mean,

And then the Prophet himself picked it up and put it and everybody was fine with that. So my point here is that when he walked in, they were all really they were all happy and excited. And they all or some of them said, I mean,

to be a judge than the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and much more. Of course, one might say, okay, the people that loved him and believed in him, of course, they're going to say positive things about him, but they were people during his time that oppose him. They challenged him, but they could not. They could not question his character. They could not question his integrity. They could not question his trustworthiness, they could not question the fact that he cared

because he has a proven record sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So Allah azza wa jal is reminding the believers of that, but it wasn't only those people who came to know him, my dear brothers and sisters, and I want you to go look it up. By all means, write keep reading through this in your head, don't write it down. Now register this in your in your head. Look up what people said about the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam after his time.

Look at what historians who did not even in theologians that did not even believe in Islam did not even follow. They were not even Muslim.

Look at what great French historian by the name of Alfonso, the lamartine said about him.

Look, look it up.

recite the verses of Allah He was the vehicle through whom Allah subhanho wa Taala delivered this message to us. This is what we need to celebrate. So you cannot celebrate the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam without celebrating the teachings of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam you cannot celebrate the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam without reciting the words that the Prophet was sent to recite upon us. You cannot claim to have love for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and have no love or attachment to the words that he brought some of the law

Who will send them at the verses of Allah Subhana to Allah, the signs of Allah azza wa jal, the words of Allah, the Almighty.

And that's why if you love the property, you will love the Quran. And you will love the commentary of the Prophet and the explanation of the Prophet, the student of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and if you oppose the book of Allah as origin, or the prophetic tradition, then you you claim to love the prophet or honor or respect the Prophet is all false means nothing.

Yet to do it, that was his job to recite the verses, so you have to recite them yourself.

But it doesn't stop there was a key him and he came to Sanctify them, purify them, make them better individuals, make them enhance their good manners and,

and their character. Now I say, Oh, this is who I am, accept me as No, but get rid of their vices, cleanse themselves, look at what the prophet sallallahu wasallam did.

With, with the early companions, look at what his teachings what his example how he, Allah Subhana, Allah inspired the Sahaba to change, they actually transformed, they changed.

They changed. And that's why you can't be a true lover or or a follower of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam unless you allow the message to change you to transform you.

Change is inevitable. It's happening as we speak. But how you change and it's a process. It's not something that happens overnight. It's a lengthy process, and sometimes a bunch of processes taking place at the same time. And it requires commitment.

And, and and they were willing to do it. And throughout history, there have been people who are willing to do that.

So don't only celebrate, it's not about you know, but rather be inspired by his example carry this this burden of his Salalah Kim, but it doesn't stop there where you are leaving him on keto and pick him up. That's an if any one of us. If you and I do the same thing, we go back to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam realize how how blessed we are that Allah as we just sent him to us,

and recite the verses that he recited and learn them and sanctify ourselves and purify our manners and laughed and hearts in the same fashion, or to the best of our ability and learn what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came to teach us the book and the Wisdom, the Sunnah of the Prophet salallahu alaihe salam learn, like the Sahaba did, then then we can celebrate.

He places this upon our shoulders.

So my dear brothers and sisters Today I would like to appeal to you on this blessed day of this blessed month of Ramadan, as we remember our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

Remember his mission sallallahu alayhi wa sallam what he lived for what he was willing and what he died for what he was willing to die for. What he said whether even if they put the sun and the moon in my hands, I would not let go this down. I will not let go of this mission. This is the mission of you and I this is our mission.

So Alhamdulillah we have been blessed in this Masjid to

take steps, just to show to be serious about this mission. And Alhamdulillah we have been very active, especially with some of those brothers and sisters who are in charge of this program, the outreach program that we have. We have

we have the message has been open. And we have perhaps I don't know of any other machine to be honest with you nationwide that has a designated full time and part time individuals who, whose whose job their sole job and focus is outreach and our delivering this message.

And to welcome people who came who would come to seek this message.

Right. So and Hamdulillah, I was I was so excited to see to see some of the sets that we have here from our our department, our our outreach department for the year 2017. You know, we have so far up to date, this is so far this year, and we still have and this is a very busy season, the holiday season is a busy season. So these numbers are going to definitely increase by the grace of Allah subhanho wa Taala we have we have had about 46 tours in the masjid. This is 46 groups, different groups, different numbers, right of people from various congregations, churches, high schools, colleges and universities, coming to the masjid, taking a tour and being exposed to the community

and to our beliefs. And to Islam learning about Islam Islam one on one, right, this this, these are people coming here.

We also through these

tours and outreach programs we reached close to or more than actually 845 people. Right. In addition to that this is one program. The other program that we have is presentations at schools, colleges, churches and universities, so far conducted 21 of them. And each one of these you're talking about, I mean, I don't have the the average number, but you're talking about at least at least a classroom, like a full classroom of 20 people or more. Right. And in some of these presentations actually are a number of classrooms coming together.

So this is the second program that we have where we go brothers and sisters from our outreach program, go actually and teach people or respond to their questions. And through these programs alone, we were able to reach 1190 people participants, you do the math divided by 21, you will find what the average number of participants were right. We also have another program a third program that is part of our outreach program, which is tables that we do that our tables, the information, informational, basically activities that we do, where we were able to set up 25 our outreach tables at malls and various shopping centers, and events.

So reaching people in the 1000s, directly or indirectly. And then in addition to this, we know that Alhamdulillah we've been very busy this year so far so far up to date, we have 49 people that came in embrace Islam here in this Masjid, Allahu Akbar 49 people this year, this is 2017 please move forward and fill in the gaps 49 people and we know that taking care of these people and guiding them. And providing mentorship program is one of our top priorities. And that's why we have one of the most successful new Muslim support systems or programs Alhamdulillah where we give them

some new Muslim kit like what I have here, it contains prayer rug scarf for the sisters and some printed material, right for them. And we provide them with mentors, we have I'm told that hamdulillah we have 36

brothers and sisters who are acting as mentors for the new Muslims and we welcome more people in the show metalla who would like to come get the training, become certified and help us in this great blended effort in sha Allah Allah, we have weekly classes for them, we have social and you know various programs for them. Now

what can you do?
