My dear brothers and sisters,

in our session on leaving Islam.

Today I'm going to narrate for you one of the most beautiful hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi salam, relating to the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala Jelena.

I cannot

I never get tired of talking about the mercy and forgiveness of Allah subhanaw taala.

And that's because that is what we need more than anything else in this life.

There are only two things in this life which can be called the Rory, which can be called critically essential.

What is the Rory Nuri something which is critically essential meaning that if we don't have that, then we will perish?

There is nothing in this life that reaches a level of of this critical, critically essential to give you an example of what is what could be critically essential. For example, if I asked you, is food critically essential, you might say yes. Well, if I ask you, then if you don't have food,

how long will it take you to die.

And believe me, that's a number of days, and it's not and it's not measured in hours, it will take you many days. And that's why death by starvation is one of the most fearsome and one of the most terrible things which we ask Allah subhanaw taala to protect everybody from because you don't die, you don't die quickly, you die very slowly, and you die very painful. without food, your body is whisked away, muscle will break down. body will and then you know over over time, then you start losing consciousness.

You get all kinds of including, for example, dementia, and so on and so forth. And eventually, you collapse and die. And that takes days in some time, maybe it takes weeks. Very, so it's right it is not having food is in that, in that context, if you walk backwards, is not critical. Because I mean, you know, you don't have food for a day, two days, three days, so nothing will happen.

You are gonna die. So it's not you can't call it critically essential, but what about water? Now, water is a lot more critically essential than food, because if you are deprived of water, then you will perish much faster than you if you are deprived of food. So, water is more critically essential than food, then if I ask you what about air, now, then you are in real trouble. Because now you are now we are not talking days, we are not talking hours, we are talking minutes. If I don't have air for

you know, maybe two minutes or three minutes, then I'm in serious trouble. And if I if I'm deprived of air for five or 10 minutes, then I'm dead.

Right? I mean, it won't take you I don't think it'll take takes even 10 minutes. So the issue of criticality is divided by how quickly Will you perish if you don't have that thing. Now think about this from the perspective of Islam.

Where is the perishing or not perishing success and failure? Where is it measured? It is measured with Allah Subhana Allah because Allah Serrano that is the one who said well for mon Zuzia and Inari. the cousin of one of my very, very dear friends, she was walking her daily morning walk walking her state, coffee state in cold, which is does all her life. Today she went for this morning work and there was a must elephant there was a elephant which was there. And this elephant not just killed her, but he trampled her body to an extent where they said there was no body.

I mean, the sense that was so badly smashed, that they could not I mean, they had to sort of, you know, scrape together the pieces, imagine this is depth,

whichever way it comes,

whether it comes with COVID whether it comes with, you know, heart disease, whether it comes with, with with cancer, whether it comes through, you know, some means a car crash or lightning strikes you or a tree falls on your head or your house collapses on top of you or nothing happens, you just wake up and you die.

No calamity, you just wake up and you die. You just lie down and you never wake up. My brothers and sisters, all of these

are excuses. All of these are the ways in which Allah subhanaw taala chooses to call us It doesn't matter, whichever that way everybody will die. We were born in order to die.

So where is success and failure? Because if you are saying that, you know,

avoiding death is success. Well, nobody was nobody but nobody can avoid death.

So where is that there's not a that's not a criterion of success. What is the criterion of success? Avoiding jahannam is the criterion of success.

Avoiding jahannam is the criterion of success, because that Allah subhanaw taala described that as the criteria, the one who is entered who's forgiven

his sins or her sins, and is entered into Jana and I asked Allah subhanaw taala to make all of us among them,

the one who has forgiven their sins and entered into Jana, to confess only that person is successful.

The one who was freed from the Hellfire

and entered into Jannah How do you get freed from the Hellfire because your sins are forgiven?

The one who was freed from the Hellfire

This is the criterion of success and only that one is successful. So therefore, what is the

So we want to see, you know, what is there in his house. Because the, the the people who are responsible for that, because he's dying, he's he's in his last few hours. Well, of course Allah knows how long somebody lives. But this is what the doctors say that this man is about to hear his he's going to go in the next couple of couple of days.

So the estate agents and so on, they want to, you know, dispose off all this stuff. So we just went to take a look at that, I have never seen something like that in my life.

This house from ceiling to the basement is filled with stuff. There is not an angel vacant space on the walls.

Every space every vacant space in the wall on Emery was was vacant, wasn't his maker anymore. The whole every wall has either a clock on it, or it has a painting on it, he was fond of art. And he was fond of clocks, that are books that are probably 5000 books or more the shelves and shelves of books. in that house, you cannot walk for two feet in a straight line. Because there is something or the other every inch of floor space is taken up by a rocking chair or a desk or a part or

you know, or some Curio or something because he was one of these chairs and, and desks, every I've never seen it is like going into a very disorganized warehouse.

So you have to sort of thread your way like this, through all of those things.

But in that bedroom, if you look at it, I mean, he cannot walk from the bedroom to his bathroom in a straight line. It's filled with stuff because he wanted to be he wanted to be there. If even if he's lying in the bed, he wants to put his arm out and touch something or the other which he which he liked. There were things in that house, which was still in their original packing. Because he never ordered anything one he or if he liked something he ordered for a week or something like that. So there were there are carpets in the original packing that are going stuff. In its original packing there are there are multiple plugs. Yeah, there are six of them. Two of them in the original packet.

And there are not even gadgets to go into them. Just by just by

so I'm thinking myself that Okay, here is a man who had obviously this this this thing is worth a fortune. So you've got an he spent a lot of money, you know, collecting all this stuff. So I'm thinking to myself, I hear this man who collected and he had like given resources. And these resources he used to collect stuff. And every single one of them from the ministry will plug to the most valuable painting whatever it is, is going to be left behind

is going to be left behind. And if you look at it, yes, it gave him some pleasure. But what is it compared to the pain of leaving it behind?

I don't know what's in his heart because I never there is feels pain or not. But if he if you love this stuff so much that he collected it and he kept it and so on. So what leaving it couldn't have been easy.

The man is still alive. And I told you the story has a nice as a beautiful ending because this man was an atheist. He was an atheist for 8889 years of his life.

He did not even believe in Allah subhanaw taala but he had a doctor who was Muslim, and this doctor through his class, more than anything else. I mean, I have never heard a story like that in my life. This man is the most beautiful man's wildlife. He loves him. He's also my very dear friend and I'm honored to have a man like that as my friend. He is the most beautiful man I've ever I've ever seen because the kind of material for this man for nothing.

This man is not related to him is a white American guy. This man is not related to me is nothing but this doctor from the subcontinent. I'm deliberately keeping this vague because I don't want him I know he doesn't want to be known. So I don't want to identify him. But the point is that this man, he served him.

He served him better than that man's own son would have served.

There are people whose children will not do what this doctor did for him, including feeding him with his and looking after him physically, emotionally managing his finances, ensuring that this man didn't become homeless because he just ran out of all his money.

Because he was money was being was being, you know, controlled. So he had enough to live and so on so forth. But he couldn't just blow everything away because he still needed that money to survive. Repairing his house look, I mean, you name it this manner, nobody This is one single individual in this world. He has no relatives, no family, no nobody

except his one doctor, his Muslim doctor who looked after him, and what Allah knows best whether Allah subhanaw taala

saw what was in this man's heart, or whether Allah subhanho wa Taala saw the fitment of this doctor, of course, Allah so everything

just this Friday, which is I mean, I'm recording this on on the Sunday, the Friday

before that, which was the 15th of 14th of August 2020.

The hospice, the nursing home called this doctor and they said, Look, this man looks like he's going

it looks like his last, you know, few minutes or whatever. So please come and see. So after demand, his doctor went there. And he talked to the man he said, You know what? It looks like you are going to go to meet your maker. Now I know that you did not believe in God, but tell me today as you are here now Do you believe in God

as a man's faculties or okay?

So the man said yes. So he said, Do you believe he said, you know, you know me, you know me, you know my faith, I am Muslim, I believe in Allah subhanaw taala. I have spoken to you about, about my faith before. So you know what that is? Tell me do you believe in Allah?

The man said yes. He said his doctor said to him that are you willing to accept Islam? The man said yes. And his doctor gave him Shahada. So Allah see the mercy Omar Abdullah Allah

The reason I'm telling you this story is is to drive home two lessons from myself. One is that all of this stuff is the man left behind his left here. This will get auctioned it will get given away it will be taken away on whatever, this is not going with him. When he goes whenever he goes, as I speak is still alive. When he goes whenever he goes, this is not going to go with it. But what see the mercy of Allah subhanaw taala Allah gave him Jana inshallah, because this man accepted Islam and this is now for him the pen is lifted because there's nothing he can do or not do.

And Allah gave him Islam which means that not only are all his sins forgiven, but whatever it did is now converted into good deeds.

Right?

So

and then Allah given this friend is doctor who tell me that he's you know, he's his intention is that all of this stuff when it is disposed?

So this doctor tells me that his intention is that when this man dies, and all of this stuff is disposed off, this doctor is going to give all of this away in charity. And so this will go to this man, as Sato, Jerry, and shall I mean imagine this is the mercy of Allah Subhana Allah that not only did Allah subhanaw taala give them an agenda, but Allah made the interdesign he made the means of ongoing charity for this man and then our last word is Dr. Lies.

Now in this context, listen to this hadith Abu Hodder or the Allah Han who he said, I heard Rasul Allah, he's saying, Verily, Allah Subhana Allah, Allah created mercy.

The day he created it, he made it into 100 parks, he would tell with him 99 parks, and he sent one part

to all his creatures.

He sent one part to all his creatures, had the non believer known of all the mercy which is in the hand of Allah, the non believer

would not lose hope of entering gender.

And had the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah. He would not consider himself safe from the alpha. And this is a hadith which is insane. I repeat,

Allah knows the rates, the rates and told us that so lies are seldom, he said,

Verily, Allah subhanho wa Taala created mercy. The day he created it, he made it into 100 parts, he would tell with him 99 parts, and he sent one part to all his creatures, had the non believer known of all the mercy which is in the hands of Allah subhanho wa Taala he would not lose hope of entering Jannah and had the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah subhanho wa Taala he will not consider himself himself safe from the Hellfire

to keep us safe and ask Allah subhanaw taala to keep us safe from his punishment and to keep us safe from the hellfire. And the lesson we learn is that when Allah gives us the resources, what do we use the resources for? Do we use the resources for to collect stuff in this world? Or do we use the resources to build our assets? Believe me That man is lucky Allah Subhana Allah Jalla Jalla Allah who had mercy on the man and he did for him what he did for him, there's no guarantee that this will

happen to me and you and in this Hadees across all lines of Salaam Rasul Allah saying this. He's saying that if the non believer knew the mercy with Allah, he would not lose hope engine ie the believer knows the anger of Allah then he will not feel that Oh, because I say La la la la. It means that this is the mercy and none of the plays themselves are explained that he said that the mother who feeds the animal, he said the mother, the mother animal which feeds its young, is because of this mercy that Allah subhanaw taala has put in the heart.

Right? Now, if you think about that, that this one part of mercy is what Allah sent on the earth through his creatures, meaning from the first creature he's not saying only human beings, creature, dinosaurs, you name it, from the first creature that Allah subhanaw taala created to the last creature who will be on the earth until this earth and until this earth remains from the first creature to the last creature, all of them are benefiting from that one part of the mercy of Allah Subhana Allah, how much will be the 99 parts of the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala We ask Allah subhanaw taala to give us that we ask Allah to show us that we ask Allah subhanaw taala to make us

among those who benefit from this inshallah.

Now, brothers, sisters, this requires effort. This requires effort, the mercy of Allah subhanaw taala is independent. Allah subhanaw taala gives an example I gave you, he's of somebody who was at 80. So obviously he made no effort to gain the mercy of Allah He made no effort for the forgiveness of Allah. This is Allah special enam there's some Allah special reward for those who he wants to reward. But that does not mean that you and I get complacent about this. We have to make an effort and that is the reason why Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam told people to make an effort. This is very beautiful. So this man was just there is a Jana which is bigger than

Jana has many levels.

The man will say well then that person who is in this Jana, which is a level above mine must have done some amazing things. Amazingly wonderful, great things which I was not able to do this man was able to do all of these good things.

He just said Subhana Allah, one time more than you

And what's the reward? One level hydrogen

I remind myself when you let us do lots and lots of vigor let not the tongue be silent. Let

Not the tongue be dry, let it be moist with the vicar of Allah subhanaw taala speak what is necessary speak what is good speak was it what is positive and the rest of it keep on making the rigor of Allah subhanaw taala accent continuously Salatin, Salah masala made love lots and lots and lots of different

stuff for light.

This is the way to build your Jannah then inshallah Allah subhanaw taala will build palaces for you and will plant trees for you and He will set forth the reverse of the agenda for you in Shall

we must make the effort

the hope is from Allah subhanaw taala mercy, but for the beautification of the agenda, you must make effort

and even myself when you let us not get lazy with this, let us not get lazy with this. Let us do it let us make the effort because Allah subhanaw taala rewards the effort and when Allah subhanaw taala is rewarding the effort, let us make sure that we make the effort to get the reward of the effort.

It is very very important for us to do this ourselves and through our actions to teach our children

the same thing right to teach the children something because it is our children who will take this forward

into the world.

These are our asset

To teach your children connect your children with Allah subhanho wa Taala.

Connect your children with Allah subhanaw taala. Teach them to take from Allah. Teach them to seek the mercy of Allah. Teach them to seek forgiveness from Allah subhanho wa Taala.

And do it because this is your asset.

Teach them because it is good for them. But teach them even more because it is good for you.

Let your children become real assets for you. After all, you slogged day and night for your children

get some benefit out of that.

And what does that benefit? that benefit is, is when those children make the offer you

I always ask this question How many of you? And I'm asking you also now, how many of you listening to this

today in dadgad, made da for the forgiveness of your parents?

How many of you today in da in tahajjud.

ask forgiveness for your grandparents. I won't go further than that. Does this to your parents, your grandparents, who directly impacted your life?

who invested in your life who sacrifice their own happiness for you.

So while when a child is born, the lives of the parents completely changes.

It gets totally oriented towards that child.

Get some benefit out of that. What's the benefit? connect those children with Allah. Teach them to take from the treasures of Allah.

Teach them to seek forgiveness from Allah.

Teach them to make dua for you when you are gone.

That is the benefit.

That is the benefit. That's the only benefit worth having.

We don't look to the children to give us material stuff. But

make sure that you teach them to ask forgiveness for you Let not a day pass when that child is not making the offer your forgiveness.
