00:00:00--> 00:00:02

Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah Hello guys.

00:00:04--> 00:00:28

In Alhamdulillah, WA Salatu was Salam O Allah shadowfell ambia Allah Allah He was happy he will Manuela. We are continuing with our topic and today's the last session of that topic, the concluding session on the life lessons from Surah Toluca have which will protect us from the the jar inshallah

00:00:31--> 00:00:48

we mentioned the hadith of Nevis Allah, Allah Allah who was Abu Salim, who said that anybody who decides to work I have in the manner that it was revealed, it will serve for him as a light from his place of residence to

00:00:50--> 00:01:34

the, from his from from his place of residence, where he used to live to Makkah, on the day of judgment, this will be seen, and whoever decides the first and if any, none of the narration The last one is of the surah Allah subhanho wa Taala will protect him from the jail. So therefore it is Mr. Have to read the surah every Friday, and I hope all of us have done that before we came for Salatu Juma, but if you haven't done it, then please do it before Maghreb because that is when the day ends and if go and you have until Maverick to to do this recitation, and inshallah make this a habit of yours that we read Surah tolka have every Friday because this is from the Sunnah of W's

00:01:34--> 00:01:35

Allah, Allah, Allah.

00:01:37--> 00:01:38

We mentioned the

00:01:40--> 00:02:03

surah mentioned that in South Africa, there are four tests that Allah subhanaw taala has mentioned that, and he has mentioned these four stories. And each of these stories refers to one of the tests that Allah subhanaw taala will face those people who live at the time when the gel

00:02:06--> 00:02:07

becomes apparent.

00:02:09--> 00:02:28

And these four tests are the first one is the test of faith in terms of Mr. And tawheed. The second one is the test of wealth. And the third one is the test of knowledge. And the fourth one is the test of power and authority.

00:02:29--> 00:02:35

So we ask Allah subhanaw taala to save us from the tests of that time.

00:02:36--> 00:03:27

Why the stories because the stories are meant to train us to face these types of tests. And of course, we have to remember that the tests that we are talking about with the gel will face the people with the gel represents that test in its extreme form, it does not mean that this test is only at the time of the job. The test is with each one of us throughout our lives, all through time, and add the time of the gel these tests will become will go to the extreme form and they will be the most severe of tests. And why the story is so that we learn how to combat these tests and how to win despite whatever else happens in our life.

00:03:28--> 00:03:35

Because our real test is not when we meet the gel, but when we meet molecule modes.

00:03:36--> 00:03:53

And the state that we meet by liquid mouth in that will that state will determine whether we succeed or fail forever, not at one time, but the me forever the human body.

00:03:55--> 00:04:09

We mentioned the first two tests, the test of faith and the test of wealth. Today, we will look at the other two tests. And the conclusion of circle graph. We also mentioned I also mentioned for you the

00:04:10--> 00:04:22

important is in the middle of the surah that refer to shaitan. And what is it that Satan did where he was he led himself astray and

00:04:23--> 00:04:27

made himself deserving of the jahannam.

00:04:31--> 00:04:37

So after mentioning the first two tests, the third test of surah two, that Allah subhanaw taala teaches us to

00:04:38--> 00:05:00

win in Zoho gov is the test of knowledge. Now, I will not recite all the words that relate to that. I will mention the holidays that evening Kassir. ravintola lay coats in his tafsir about the incident of Musa alayhis salam and how he went in search of al Qaeda Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam said

00:05:00--> 00:05:15

As narrated by Obi Wan Cavalia, the Allahu anhu, Musa alayhis salam got up to deliver a speech before the bunny's Rial. And someone asked him, Who is the most learned people among the people who is the most learned among the people?

00:05:16--> 00:05:18

Musa alayhis salam said I am.

00:05:20--> 00:05:41

Now if you just think about this, this statement or musala, Salah is not a statement of cover. It's not a statement of showing off. It's not false, because in the life of the Navy when the Navy is alive, the Navy is in fact the most learned of all people who exist on the face of the earth, because the Navy is the recipient of AI.

00:05:43--> 00:06:06

So the recipient of what he is actually the most learned person, there is no person who can be who can claim to be more learned than the enemy, because the enemy receives ye from Allah subhanaw taala. So Moses, Allah made a statement which was factual, they asked him who is the most knowledgeable he said, I am the most knowledgeable, but Allah subhana wa Taala does not like even such statements even when they are factual.

00:06:08--> 00:06:17

So Rasul Allah is Allah is Allah. So Allah subhanho wa Taala did not like this statement and rebuke masala is Salam because he did not refer the knowledge to Allah.

00:06:19--> 00:06:24

And so Allah subhanaw taala revealed to him and he said that there is somebody who has more knowledge than you.

00:06:27--> 00:06:36

And Allah subhanaw taala revealed to Musa alayhis salam that he said go and there is Musa mashima masala salon and Cydia. There are so many lessons in this and

00:06:37--> 00:06:48

inshallah I think we will do this as a as one of our evening class lessons because it's not fair to do all the lessons of sort of having what you offer but because we are constrained by time, but just quick pointers.

00:06:49--> 00:07:00

What is Booz Allen reaction the moment Allah subhanaw taala says there is somebody who knows more than you is musasa I'm offended How can you say this to me? You are the one who's sending me why how can somebody have more knowledge than me saying all of this know?

00:07:01--> 00:07:06

his immediate reaction is Yeah, Bellarmine Can I meet this person? Can I meet this person can I learn from him?

00:07:08--> 00:07:21

See the humility of masala Salah. This, this story of knowledge, the test of knowledge. The lesson for us is humility and humbleness. The musasa lam said get over Europe How can I meet him?

00:07:22--> 00:07:29

And Allah subhanaw taala said, This person is at the junction of two seas and he has more knowledge than you

00:07:30--> 00:07:39

was on his answer. How can I meet him? Allah subhanaw taala said to him take a fish and put it in a vessel and set out and where you lose the fish you will find this man

00:07:41--> 00:07:54

So Moses lm took a fish and put it in a vessel and set out along with his servant, his boy servant who was to become an abbey was to become also the, the the leader of Bani Israel in his own time, you shall be known.

00:07:56--> 00:07:57

And they will set out

00:07:58--> 00:08:02

until and they ended travel for a long distance, very long distance many many days

00:08:04--> 00:08:05

until the reached rock,

00:08:07--> 00:08:20

and they got tired, so they rested. They slept on this lock. And while they were sleeping, this fish moved vigorously. And it jumped out of this vessel and went off into the sea, usually known actually saw this happening

00:08:21--> 00:08:31

and aligned as soon as a Muslim said that Allah subhanaw taala stopped the flow of water on both sides of the fish. So it was as if the fish made a tunnel in the water. And the tunnel was still visible.

00:08:33--> 00:09:01

is one of the modules that that Allah subhanaw taala showed Musa alayhis salam and he showed his companion you shall be known. So now when was Ali Salam and you shall be known got up and they started walking again. Because they did not know which place Alfredo is at. So, you shall be known forgot to mention to Sally salon that this incident happened and they traveled for another full day and full night.

00:09:03--> 00:09:15

Now See also musala salaams focus to seek knowledge was Alice lm is not saying all that you know I will I will travel for a little while then I will take some rest I do some sightseeing and then I go back again and catch my flight No.

00:09:16--> 00:09:40

He's traveling day and night and day and night. And if he gets tired, he sleeps and he wakes up and he travels day and night so the travel for one full day and one full night. And then the next morning, Musa Lam said to us shall be known bring us our morning meal and that fish was supposed to be their meal. They will cook the fish and suddenly you shall be known. remembered what happened to the fish.

00:09:41--> 00:10:00

So he said to bizarrely Salaam he said that this fish jumped out of this vessel and went into the sea and it made like a tunnel in the sea in the water. And he said shaitan made me forget this and I did not tell you who's or SLM said Where did it happen? He said you remember the place where we went to sleep that rock? That is where it happens.

00:10:02--> 00:10:32

So Musa alayhis salam and his companion, then they went back, traveling another day and a night obviously because that's the distance that they had traveled. So they travel all the way back again, retracing their steps until they reach the rock. And there they found a man who was sleeping covered with his, with a covering the muzzle Is there any serravalle and the man woke up and he said, Is this a greeting among your people? Was Elisa Lam said yes. Why are you surprised? Because nobody says this thing here. In this particular place where I am, nobody uses this greeting.

00:10:35--> 00:10:41

So masala sallam, he asked him, he said, Who are you? I said, I am Messiah. He said you are Musa of Bani Israel, he said, Yes.

00:10:42--> 00:11:02

And he said, I have come to you, so that you may teach me something of that knowledge, which you have been taught. And Alexander said, I will teach you but you will not be able to have patience with me. Because you do not know why I do what I do. He said it is natural that you will be impatient, because you will see me doing things but you have no idea why I'm doing that.

00:11:03--> 00:11:17

And he said, Oh Musa, I have some knowledge of Allah, I have some knowledge that Allah subhanaw taala has taught me, but you do not know that. And he said, You have some knowledge with Allah subhanho wa Taala taught you and I do not know it.

00:11:19--> 00:11:21

Now imagine this is the start.

00:11:22--> 00:11:27

And you start saying to his students, he said, You know more than me

00:11:28--> 00:11:52

in certain areas. And I know more than you in some other areas. See the lessons with regard to teaching and learning that the Quran teaches us the job of teaching and learning the job of knowledge without which knowledge will not come. This is one of the great fit. And of this time, I've mentioned this before, and I'm saying it again, the good news is that our hungry lack knowledge is easily available.

00:11:53--> 00:12:04

There was a time if you wanted to study Bahasa or if you had to go and join a mother side only in the sixth or seventh or eighth year, they would start they would start the lessons and teachings of Buhari.

00:12:07--> 00:12:12

But today, all you have to do is to go to Google and you get all Buhari and everything else.

00:12:14--> 00:12:14

Yes.

00:12:16--> 00:12:18

Google has the largest number of meridian in the world.

00:12:21--> 00:12:44

So we get all the all the books or holidays, you get the CSS, you get the car and you get the car and you get everything. So Alhamdulillah nothing wrong with that. We have access to knowledge. But what is the downside of it, the other side of of having easy access to knowledge is like somebody going to Google and downloading a book on surgery and then wanting to have operations.

00:12:46--> 00:12:50

The only thing that will happen is that he will kill somebody and he will go to jail. That's it.

00:12:51--> 00:13:16

And if he says no, but I read all the book of surgery from Google, and I know how to do surgery, you do not know how to do surgery by reading a book out of surgery from Google or anywhere else for that matter. You have to learn how to do surgery by start by studying under a surgeon by actually going into the operation theater and starting work on the dead body first, you don't want to start chopping up people.

00:13:18--> 00:13:30

And that's like that's like, again another example. It's like reading all the books on aerodynamics and Aero engineering and flying, and then getting into the seat of a cockpit of a plane and saying I know how to fly.

00:13:32--> 00:13:33

Why because I know aerodynamics.

00:13:34--> 00:13:46

You do not know how to fly until you actually fly. And that is the issue of lm of D in which we forget. And we think that just because I read something somewhere I have knowledge you don't have knowledge you have only information.

00:13:47--> 00:13:52

Information is not knowledge. Don't mistake the true information is not knowledge.

00:13:54--> 00:14:06

Knowledge is information which is digested and put in its right place, that is knowledge. And even that is not enough because there is a stage beyond knowledge.

00:14:07--> 00:14:09

And that stage is a stage or hikma

00:14:10--> 00:14:19

and and that is what we call wisdom and what is wisdom? wisdom is to know how to apply this knowledge and where to apply it. And for this we have the sun

00:14:21--> 00:14:30

so even if you have the knowledge you still don't have enough until you go to the sauna of W's Allah Allah Allah Azza wa sallam and you learn how to actually apply this knowledge is when you get wisdom

00:14:32--> 00:14:34

ask Allah subhanaw taala to open our eyes and give us wisdom inshallah.

00:14:36--> 00:14:39

So the the issue of Musa and Taylor

00:14:41--> 00:14:56

he said, You have some knowledge that I don't know and I have some knowledge that you don't know. So most Allah Salam said that I inshallah you will find me patient if Allah wills and if you are willing to teach me then I am willing to learn

00:14:58--> 00:14:59

so either said

00:15:00--> 00:15:05

Then follow me, but don't ask me about anything until I myself mentioned it to you

00:15:06--> 00:15:08

and see the words of the Quran

00:15:10--> 00:15:16

Carla homosassa Bureau Kala and to alamanni Mim Lim todos de

00:15:18--> 00:15:26

00:15:40--> 00:15:45

Attorney unshaven Hata oho de Sala caminho de Cora

00:15:47--> 00:15:48

word Bula word Busan Islam say

00:15:50--> 00:15:59

he said permit me to follow you. May I follow you may I do your ithuba He did not say Teach me I will not know

00:16:01--> 00:16:04

Kerala Musa hell. Carioca,

00:16:05--> 00:16:10

can I follow you will you permit me to make your ithuba

00:16:12--> 00:16:15

the thing which I keep on repeating like a broken record every July

00:16:17--> 00:16:20

the importance of it evolves Asana,

00:16:21--> 00:16:26

the importance of doing what Nabi sallallahu alayhi wasallam did without asking

00:16:28--> 00:16:36

the Sherpa, you don't question you just do you just follow? I'll tell you look, can I follow you?

00:16:39--> 00:16:47

Allah Allah and limani mimma Lim todos de he said, May I follow you so that you teach me something of the knowledge

00:16:48--> 00:17:03

which you have been taught? And He further alayhis salam. And I will tell you why we are saying Allah is Allah. He said, verily, you will not be able to have patience with me. And how can you have patience about a thing that you don't know?

00:17:04--> 00:17:14

So whether is saying that you will be patient, and I don't blame you for that. It is natural that you are impatient, because after all, you know you don't know why I'm doing what I'm doing.

00:17:16--> 00:17:19

So musala salam said if Allah wills in sha Allah

00:17:20--> 00:17:22

certegy Dhoni in sha Allah

00:17:25--> 00:17:27

sabirah Walla,

00:17:28--> 00:17:40

silica ama, he said, insha Allah, you will find me patience, and I will not as well as sila camera, I will not disobey you in anything You tell me.

00:17:43--> 00:17:45

So conditions of learning.

00:17:46--> 00:17:59

One humility humbleness, to go to a pasta and go to a shark and say I know, I may know a lot. But I come to you because you can teach me what I don't know.

00:18:00--> 00:18:06

The famous story of two of the biggest show of this land of ours.

00:18:11--> 00:18:14

One is Jeff allama says Villa nadwi.

00:18:16--> 00:18:17

Rama Talalay

00:18:21--> 00:18:22

and he went to a chef.

00:18:25--> 00:18:28

And he, at that time, he was at the peak of his

00:18:30--> 00:18:32

the books he wrote and

00:18:33--> 00:18:37

all the different things and his knowledge and his power, authority.

00:18:39--> 00:18:41

And he went to the jet and he spoke to him and he told him

00:18:44--> 00:18:47

teach me I have come to you to learn

00:18:48--> 00:18:50

for the sake of dusky our tarbiyah.

00:18:55--> 00:18:58

initiatives said to him something in his ear, he whispered to him something

00:19:00--> 00:19:04

and just started weeping tears in his eyes.

00:19:06--> 00:19:07

And he left.

00:19:11--> 00:19:14

So after he left, people asked him I said, Why did you cry?

00:19:16--> 00:19:20

He said because he told me that you are alien is the biggest job

00:19:23--> 00:19:31

is that your knowledge is the biggest hijab is the knowledge is the biggest block to your Saskia of your knifes.

00:19:33--> 00:19:43

Now it would sound strange because what knowledge is talking about is talking about the knowledge of the Quran and the Sunnah. So you might say, well, how can the knowledge of Islam be a block to my getting close to Allah?

00:19:46--> 00:19:49

Because how can you get close to Allah unless you have knowledge of Islam

00:19:50--> 00:19:53

and somebody who has knowledge of Islam you tell him that this is your block.

00:19:57--> 00:19:58

So what is the block he's talking about?

00:20:00--> 00:20:11

It is the block of the sense of having this knowledge. It's not the knowledge itself. It is the idea that I have knowledge that I am an island.

00:20:13--> 00:20:25

What a novelist used to say, the hijab of the island is 70,000 times more serious and more epic than the hijab of the jail.

00:20:27--> 00:20:30

Because the hijab of the elements the hijab of North,

00:20:31--> 00:20:37

he said no can cut goalmouth nor can cut darkness, but what can cut note

00:20:42--> 00:20:43

and what can cut nor

00:20:44--> 00:20:45

the size of

00:20:47--> 00:20:49

the sajida aboudi at

00:20:50--> 00:20:52

bowing your head before Allah subhanaw taala

00:20:53--> 00:20:55

in the same story of color, and Moza.

00:20:57--> 00:20:58

There is an incident

00:21:00--> 00:21:03

and I forgot the forgotten the name of the chef of

00:21:04--> 00:21:08

chefs as well Mr. nadwi and that was Marana Ashraf Ali turned me on to lolly.

00:21:09--> 00:21:20

And this was an incident which happened when Solomon as we went to San v to make Baya for the skier and a lot of people who are who are the meridian of

00:21:21--> 00:21:32

say Silvana Talalay objected and they said Why do you have to go to him? You are an element we are your your We are your students. And now you have gone and made yourself married to somebody else.

00:21:34--> 00:21:41

And say hello and Allah said you are strange people. He said on the one hand, you say you are my mores. And on the other hand, you want to teach me what to do.

00:21:44--> 00:21:47

And that is the that the state of the oma today

00:21:49--> 00:21:54

where the stand behind any mom to make salah and they make Nia that is a mom is Tabby of me.

00:21:55--> 00:21:56

Yeah.

00:21:58--> 00:22:06

And they don't like imams who are not Tommy of them. They want imams to he, they want to make sense of Allah and they want the Imam to make sense to them.

00:22:07--> 00:22:09

And they don't like any mom having said that while also.

00:22:11--> 00:22:13

So Musa alayhis salam said

00:22:14--> 00:22:23

I will do your diva. So what Mazel is that I'm saying and he said my noble worth is I put it aside before you and your students

00:22:27--> 00:22:28

in the presence of the Navy,

00:22:29--> 00:22:36

the Navy is the head of state he is the head of the people he is the mom of Imam for Salah.

00:22:40--> 00:22:52

Nobody can lead a Salah when the enemy's presence unless the Navy specifically asked him to do that. And that is what Hassan did with overcast in his last days when he became incapable of leading Salah.

00:22:55--> 00:23:02

But here What am I saying? Allah is Allah. He's saying I put aside all my knowledge because I want to learn from you.

00:23:04--> 00:23:09

And what is the condition of learning? You follow? And you don't question you say you do what you are told to do and you learn

00:23:12--> 00:23:21

and also Allah is Allah Allah Sallam mentioned in his heart, he said and we wish that Moosa was patient, so that Allah subhanaw taala would have shown us some more of his wonders.

00:23:24--> 00:23:41

Now about whether Was he a prophet was he in Abbey and the NLL is in Joburg of itself, where Allah subhanaw taala said to Musa for Raja Abdullah Minerva Dena at a na hora Mata Minh andina wala na Houma la luna Hillman,

00:23:42--> 00:23:56

and Allison then they found one of our slaves and to whom we had best showed mercy from Us, and whom we had taught knowledge from us and therefore this based on this evidence as well as Rosalind told us, that tether was a Nabi alayhis salam.

00:23:57--> 00:24:05

And then Allah subhanaw taala describes what what happened to Caesar and Musa and we have all those Ayat of the Quran, please read them, I'm not going to decide them here.

00:24:06--> 00:24:49

Either and Musa alayhis salam, they left and they went and they found they wanted to cross the river and there was a boat and they boarded this boat and Allah is Allah made a hole in the boat. He took off one of the planks of the boat, so the boat became defective and the people in the boat were in danger of sinking and musasa objected he said How can you do this? What What are you doing? You are damaging these people were kind enough to let us come on the onboard their boat and you are doing something which is very bad you have you have gone and damaged their boat and analyser, Ali Salam said Did I not tell you that you will not have patience? those arms are ordered I accept my fault. I

00:24:49--> 00:24:53

will have patience. I will not question you. Then they went further from there

00:24:54--> 00:24:59

after this vote, and then what happened? They came upon some children playing and hidden

00:25:00--> 00:25:02

La Salam killed one of those children

00:25:04--> 00:25:06

musala Salam sibu Sharia.

00:25:08--> 00:25:09

The biggest Sharia that we know

00:25:11--> 00:25:14

which came before the Sharia mahamudra salaam is the Sharia masa.

00:25:18--> 00:25:24

Now what do you think the cyber cyber Sharia will do or say, if someone commits murder,

00:25:25--> 00:25:28

Mousavian into the US killed? You just killed his boy, he did nothing.

00:25:30--> 00:25:44

He said, Did I not tell you you will not have patience? musalla. Sir, I'm sorry. Even though you have done something I don't understand, in my view, in the light of my knowledge I've been given this is a very major crime, I will keep quiet, I will not say anything, and I will follow you.

00:25:46--> 00:25:59

And then they travel for a long distance in a very tired and they came to a village Korea and a lot of fun and because he said maybe it was a town, maybe it was a village. And they asked those people

00:26:00--> 00:26:11

to give them some hospitality. And this is among the age old laws of hospitality of all lands, that when strangers come when travelers come that they are given hospitality that they are given

00:26:12--> 00:26:26

a place to rest and food to eat. Today in our modern urban world, this has this hospitality, which was part of somebody. Rama has been turned into an industry we call it the hospitality industry.

00:26:27--> 00:26:32

And the hotels call people who come their guests and they charge them money. I mean, how do you charge I guess money.

00:26:35--> 00:26:42

So when they asked for this hospitality, these people in this village, there were people who are very stingy and bowhill, and they refused.

00:26:43--> 00:26:45

But there was a wall in this village.

00:26:46--> 00:26:56

And federalize alarm went and he straightened his wall, the wall was about to fall down. And Taylor performed a service by straightening this wall and strengthening this wall.

00:26:57--> 00:27:18

So Melissa Lam said, this is a strange thing, you know, these people have been so inhospitable. And we asked them for food, and they would not give us food. And they asked us for a place to stay, and they did not give us the place to stay. And now you help them at least you could have asked them for some answer, you could have asked them for some, you know, labor, some cut some wages for doing something for the village.

00:27:20--> 00:27:20

So

00:27:22--> 00:27:43

he said, this is the point of parting between you and me. He said, I gave you chances. And you keep asking me questions, I am sorry, I can't, you know, allow that to happen against the other way of learning and teaching. And therefore, he This is where you go your way and I go my way. And then he said, I will, however, tell you why I did what I did.

00:27:46--> 00:27:54

And he said that the reason I made a hole in that boat, is because there was a king who used to

00:27:56--> 00:28:32

capture and we used to grab all ships and boats, which are in good condition for his own use. And this board belonged to some orphans and some poor people, and they would have lost their, their means of livelihood, and therefore I made a hole in the boat. Now the when the when the king comes, He will not take this boat. And when the king leaves, they can repair their boat, and they will still have their boat and that is the reason why I did that. And he said the reason I killed that boy was because it was the father of Allah subhanaw taala that later on this boy, if he had lived, he would have grown up and he would have become a very rebellious disbeliever and his parents loved

00:28:32--> 00:28:56

him very much and there his parents are good people. And therefore there was a danger that the parents might also follow their son because they love the sun so much. And therefore Allah subhanaw taala decreed that this child should be killed, and he's dying before he's you know, he before it before he grows up and so on. So, that is over and the parents will be saved from this Allah subhanaw taala will give them better than that.

00:28:57--> 00:29:34

And he said the reason I strengthen the wall is because under this wall is buried a treasure, which belongs to two orphans. Their father was a pious person and Allah subhanho wa Taala decreed that this treasure should be preserved. If this if these people of this village knew about the treasure, they would take away the treasure and the orphans would be deprived. And therefore Allah subhanaw taala decreed that the wall should be put up so the treasure is preserved and Allah subhanaw taala and his own good time will ensure that this treasure goes to the people whose father kept it for them. And obviously the father had passed away, but the draw of the Father stayed with the children

00:29:34--> 00:29:37

and was a means of protection for those children.

00:29:40--> 00:29:59

Now all of this cliver Elisa Lam told musante Salah, and as part of the seal there, in Nicosia narrates that while they were traveling in this boat, a bird came and sat on the prow of the boat and dipped its beak in the in the water and drank some water and critter said to masala Salam

00:30:00--> 00:30:03

He said my knowledge and your knowledge combined

00:30:04--> 00:30:10

compared to the knowledge of Allah subhanho wa Taala is like what is on the beak of this bird compared to the ocean.

00:30:13--> 00:30:25

He says both of us together is my knowledge and your knowledge combined together is compared to the knowledge of Allah subhanho wa Taala like the water that this bird took in its beak, compared to the ocean.

00:30:28--> 00:30:46

The lessons therefore, from this story, one, to learn knowledge, we need to have our teacher we need to have a more A B, we need to go to somebody be humble and obey that person. There is no learning without the teachers do are for the student is critical to the learning of the students.

00:30:47--> 00:30:56

And if you think you can go and sit somewhere and watch a movie or the movie or video or something and learn and you have no glare from the teacher, Horace, it won't happen, it won't come.

00:30:58--> 00:31:26

And that obviously therefore there must be a relationship of love between the student and the teacher that the teacher is interested enough to stand in the night and worship Allah subhanho wa Taala and make dua for the student before Allah subhanaw taala second one must have patience and obey the teacher even if one does not understand everything all the time. You can clarify doubts, but do not express judgments on the teacher don't point a finger at the teacher and say you are this and you are that

00:31:27--> 00:31:46

this is against the other other way of learning number three, not everything which happens make sense within courts to us because our knowledge is limited to be able to understand something we need to have knowledge and therefore not everything that Allah subhanaw taala does, we understand

00:31:49--> 00:31:53

right? But that does not mean that wireless monitor has done is wrong now.

00:31:55--> 00:32:05

So we thank Allah subhanaw taala many times pasa and Takahashi, Hokkaido Lu y Santo butia, foreshadow La la la la la, la la la

00:32:06--> 00:32:46

la semana de la salle said that there is there are there is something that you dislike, but Allah subhanaw taala has put hide in this for you and there is something which you like, which Allah but there is Sha in you there there is a harmfulness and there is harm in that for you. And Allah subhanaw taala knows and you do not know and very important for us to remember that that when things happen. Allah subhanaw taala always does whatever he does is with God. And therefore, we have to we must accept that and we must bow our heads in submission and our hearts in submission before Allah subhanaw taala because whatever he does, he does for our own benefit, because nothing can benefit or

00:32:46--> 00:32:47

harm Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:32:48--> 00:33:06

and the last one is that we do not try to seek hidden meanings in things, but accept what we are told by Allah Subhana Allah and His Messenger sallallahu sallam, we one of the problems of seeking hidden meanings is that it takes us all over the place and leads us astray.

00:33:07--> 00:33:09

Musa alayhis, salam,

00:33:11--> 00:33:13

young boy servant, you shall be known,

00:33:15--> 00:33:33

became the leader of Bani Israel after the death of masala Salam. And it shows the importance of tarbiyah. If one wants to be a leader, you have to take the pain of spending time with the teacher in the company of the teacher and learning from him. There are no shortcuts to this.

00:33:35--> 00:33:38

We come to the last story of surah Toluca have the story of local rain.

00:33:40--> 00:33:46

And that refers to one of the great kings of this world. And this is one of the

00:33:47--> 00:33:50

things that the rabbi's of Medina had asked,

00:33:54--> 00:33:58

had asked the courage to ask Nabi sallallahu wasallam.

00:34:00--> 00:34:40

And the story of Luca train, as we know is that there was this king Allah subhanaw taala gave him from power and wealth. And so he was a very powerful King. And he traveled to the ends of the earth. He traveled east to the farthest point that he could travel and he traveled west to the furthest point that he could travel. And he saw a lot of great and wonderful things. Two things is Allah subhanaw taala said he came upon a people where they he could not understand anything they said, so Allah, Allah, maybe these were some kind of Aboriginal people or something, they had a language which nobody could understand. And Allah subhanaw taala gave him power and Allah subhanaw taala

00:34:40--> 00:34:42

said, you can do what you want. If you want to

00:34:44--> 00:34:59

kill these people and make them slaves. You can do that. And if you want to live them and not harm them in any way, that's up to you. You can do whatever you like, and the answer of Luke or nine is

00:35:00--> 00:35:26

Very important for us to understand because this is we are talking about now the fourth test, which is the test of power and authority. And he said, As for him, who does wrong, we shall punish him, and then he will be brought back unto his robe who will punish him with a terrible punishment of janam. Whereas for him who believes in Allah's oneness, and works righteousness, he shall have the best reward. And we that is will kernighan shall speak unto him kindly, with whatever we have to say.

00:35:29--> 00:35:42

So it doesn't really learn is what the when we have power, we do not use this power. Even if we have this power, and we have the ability to do things, we do not do them, we still follow the outcome of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:35:44--> 00:35:47

And then the current game to a people who told him about your job.

00:35:48--> 00:36:30

And they said, they said, Please, help us and protect us. And they said, We are willing to give you tribute. So they offered him tribute. And Luca then gave the same answer the salovaara salam give to the people from Sabah, who came with gifts. And he said that what Allah subhanaw taala has given me is better than whatever you can give me. So he refused to take tribute. But he said to them, he said, come and work, I will help you, but you have to help yourselves. So come and work and he said, Bring blocks of iron, so the broad blocks of iron and they filled up a whole valley with it. And then he said, heat, this iron, and then they heated this iron until it was red hot. And he said,

00:36:30--> 00:36:39

Bring copper and he melted, and he poured molten copper over that. And it became a steel wall between the two mountains, which kept

00:36:41--> 00:36:47

your job and modules away and protected those people but once again, see what

00:36:49--> 00:37:26

Luca nine says. And he said, after he made this wall, did he say that GAC the technology that I have that I was able to protect you? Did he say that? No. He said this is a mercy from my the same thing which Solomon Elisa Lam said, when he saw the throne of the queen of Saba in his palace, what did he say, had been the lobby, he said, this is the father of my robe. And Luca nine said this is a mercy from Iraq. But when the promise of my rub comes true, he will level this to the ground.

00:37:27--> 00:37:47

And the promise of my rub is ever true. And on that day, the day the values and modules will come out, we shall leave the Allah subhanaw taala says, This is Shall we shall leave them to surge like waves, one upon another. And then the Trumpet will be blown a new fit of his soul, and we shall collect them all together.

00:37:49--> 00:37:56

ask Allah subhanaw taala to put enough of the fear of the day of judgment in our hearts to live our our lives in a state of obedience to Him.

00:37:58--> 00:38:10

So the lessons from this story that all wealth and power belong to Allah, and he gives them to whoever he wants. Padilla Houma Malik al mulk to Tillman. C'mon, Tasha. waternsw you will welcome Amanda.

00:38:11--> 00:38:22

Number two, establish justice if you have wealth and power and don't oppress people, and Joe Kernan mentioned this when he was given the freedom to punish or to treat people kindly.

00:38:24--> 00:38:33

I remind myself when you reflect in our own lives, forget karma, and we don't even have, you know, one iota of the power that God had. But what do we do with whatever power we had

00:38:35--> 00:38:44

rasulillah salam said that if a man comes to you, or subordinate comes to you, and you make him stand in your presence out of the cup or out of cover?

00:38:45--> 00:38:55

He said, The Man Who does that the man who makes the subordinates stand meaning he does not offer him a seat, a man who who makes a subordinate stand in his presence.

00:38:56--> 00:39:02

To show his own importance out of giver, he said that man will search for his own place in Ghana.

00:39:04--> 00:39:10

Because Allah subhanaw taala said keeper is my clock, and the one who tries to take from it I will destroy him.

00:39:12--> 00:39:21

Ask see how we treat our servants. See how we treat our servants. See how we treat the servants of the people who work for us.

00:39:23--> 00:39:31

We say with great pride about our languages, we say that in our languages there are addresses of respect in English everything is you.

00:39:32--> 00:39:35

But we have to and we have to man we have up

00:39:36--> 00:39:38

Yes, we have untanned we have anthem

00:39:40--> 00:39:41

in Arabic.

00:39:43--> 00:39:49

So this is the good side of it. What is the downside of it? The downside of it is that from your tongue only comes out

00:39:52--> 00:39:53

when you speak to your servants

00:39:55--> 00:39:58

How do you speak Calgary? Calgary cammarata.

00:40:00--> 00:40:03

Radha II and I both enable

00:40:04--> 00:40:05

my work by exaggerating.

00:40:07--> 00:40:10

May Allah protect us this is how we Muslims speak.

00:40:11--> 00:40:14

This is how we Muslim speak.

00:40:16--> 00:40:23

And that poor fellow, he also has a tongue and he can also answer, but the only reason he does not answer

00:40:25--> 00:40:28

is because he needs what little you give him as a salary.

00:40:31--> 00:40:34

Remember the words of Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:40:35--> 00:40:40

He said that the one who does this will search for his own place in Ghana in the hellfire.

00:40:42--> 00:40:42

Kippur

00:40:43--> 00:40:49

is the shortest, the shortest, the smoothest the fastest way to the hellfire.

00:40:54--> 00:41:04

third lesson, don't take from others and be content with what Allah subhanaw taala has given you. Those are nine said I don't want your tribute.

00:41:05--> 00:41:08

There's no Harris, there is no wanting more.

00:41:11--> 00:41:14

And remember that this does not refer to material alone.

00:41:16--> 00:41:28

Because what when he said what Allah has given me is not a question of material until Mr. Islam said what I have is better than what you have brought. He's not talking about heathens he's not saying I've got more bigger bank balance than you.

00:41:29--> 00:41:58

He's referring to knowledge is referring to the Buddha is referring to his position as an abbey. And Luca is referring to his to the Rama of Allah subhanaw taala that Allah had blessed him with. So contentment with what Allah subhanaw taala has given us is far better than seeking material wealth, or comparing with others. The word the biggest Azov of comparing with others is it takes away the joy of your life right now. The moment you look at somebody else's car, your car no longer looks nice to you.

00:42:01--> 00:42:12

What's the point of that? It takes away the joy of enjoyment of your own life. And that is the other from Allah subhanho wa Taala as a punishment for Allah subhanaw taala for being thankless and for for greed.

00:42:15--> 00:42:37

Number four lesson is take steps to protect yourself or to complete your goals, like building the wall but realize that these will succeed only until Allah subhanho wa Taala wills. So don't take credit for whatever success you may encounter. But realize that it is purely because of the mercy of Allah Jalla Jalla Allahu, and therefore worship Him and keep asking him.

00:42:38--> 00:42:57

The last one is, remember, no matter how much wealth and power you have, it will all come to an end one day and you will have to stand before Allah, every single one of us, I will have to stand before Allah and you will have to stand before Allah and the one who does not believe in Allah will also have to stand with Allah.

00:42:59--> 00:43:01

There is no escape, no escape.

00:43:03--> 00:43:18

And the only thing that will happen when we stand before Allah is if Allah subhanaw taala is pleased with us, then inshallah and we ask Allah for this, then inshallah that will be a good time. But if we lived our life in a way, where we incurred the anger of Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:43:19--> 00:43:21

May Allah, Allah protect us from that day.

00:43:23--> 00:43:45

And then the surah ends with two very important lessons. One Allah subhanaw taala mentioned the greatest losers with respect to their deeds. And Allah subhanaw taala said, coal has noona bukhan Bella Suriname Allah, Allah Vina Bala, sir Are you home feel happy dounia Well, whom you have seen your home? Yes, abona and home your Senora Sana

00:43:48--> 00:44:00

like Allah vena cava Tierra bomba Eva hubitat dama loon fala nopi Malone yarmulke Mati was not that he got jezza home Johanna movie makeover Oh, what the hell do it?

00:44:01--> 00:44:44

And what's wrong with that said, say Oh, Mohamed Salah Salem, shall we tell you the greatest losers in respect of their deeds, they are those whose efforts have been wasted in his life, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds. There are those who deny the ayatollah and the meeting with him. So their works are in vain. Their works are wasted, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will not have any weight, and that will be their recompense, and that will be the reward. And that is janam because they disbelieved and took my ads and my messengers by way of joking and mockery, they made fun of me Salah is I was alum they made fun of Gambia they made fun of

00:44:44--> 00:44:48

the promises of Allah and they made fun of the Sunnah of mahamudra sola sola Salah.

00:44:50--> 00:44:59

So therefore our big lesson, only the way shown by the messenger is correct. Other ways may seem to be nice, but they lead to the agenda.

00:45:00--> 00:45:40

This refers to all the sheer can all the without that we do, thinking that these are good things. They are not good things, they lead to the agenda. And the great danger is that those who practice those ways think that these ways lead to good while actually they are leading to the worst of all evil, which is shirk, you must remember that always are worshipping Allah other than those that Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam showed us are haram and that it is haram to ask for help from anyone other than Allah, and anyone doing that will land in Ghana. So also our deeds done to show off our Ria, which is shirk, will be told on the people who do deeds to show off will be told on the day of

00:45:40--> 00:46:24

judgment to go to those who they were trying to please for their reward. Ria schilke and it's something that is very insidious and dangerous, as well ends with a final two lessons well as Roger said, Paul O'Connell, baharu, Metallica, Lima kalama, Tierra de la de la Rocha, Bella and tonfa Kalamata Robbie valo Gina Miss Lee muda Polina Anna Bashara Miss la comida La ilaha illa Huwa head Furman Ghana Yo yo yo yo juliaca hora de fall Yama, mala Milan salia what are you Shrek we are bad at europei I had Allah said say oh mama Salah Salem to all of mankind. If the sea became ink for writing

00:46:25--> 00:46:51

the words of my rubbish, surely, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my rub would be finished. If the sea became ink to write the praises of Allah subhanho wa Taala you would not be able to write the praises of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And the whole sea would be finished. And none of the place in the Quran Allah subhanaw taala said, if you even if you brought another sea of an equal volume, to complement that.

00:46:53--> 00:46:57

And those of you who think that this is exaggeration, remember it's a matter of skill.

00:46:58--> 00:47:27

It's a matter of skill, take a teaspoon of water and put it in the in a plate and take an ant and put it in the water. As far as the aunt is concerned, that is the sea because the aunt will die. So of course Drupal, the aunt out I'm not trying to teach you to be unkind to insects, but the point I'm making is is a matter of matter of skill. So if you say the sea compared to the McCulloch of Allah subhanho wa Taala the Jubail and Mikhail for example, is a teaspoon of water.

00:47:28--> 00:47:41

So if I tell you I gave you I give you one teaspoon of ink to write the glory and majesty of Allah subhanaw taala and a teaspoon of ink will be finished. Is it very surprising? If I tell you I know I'll give you two teaspoons of ink.

00:47:43--> 00:47:44

Deal I mean,

00:47:45--> 00:47:46

two teaspoons although we finished

00:47:48--> 00:47:55

matter of scale, to the creator of the rub the rub of the universe to the creator of the universe, this earth

00:47:56--> 00:48:11

and we know the scientifically we don't even have to go up there too far that we know scientifically that this planet Earth compared through what is in one galaxy, which is the Milky Way, only one galaxy I'm talking about.

00:48:13--> 00:48:19

And in the known universe, there are billions of galaxies millions billions of galaxies like the Milky Way.

00:48:20--> 00:48:29

But our galaxy is what is known as the Milky Way. This earth compared to what is in one galaxy is less than one grain of sand on a beach.

00:48:31--> 00:48:34

So what is the sea on one grain of sand on a beach?

00:48:36--> 00:48:36

matter of skill,

00:48:37--> 00:48:43

matter of skill. So Allah subhanaw taala Rabbil alameen is speaking about the ocean, what does what is the ocean?

00:48:46--> 00:49:20

And then the last part of that ayah where Allah subhanho wa Taala said, say O Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, I am only a man like you what he has been sent to me that your ILA is one Illa Allah. So whoever hopes for the meeting with his rub, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of Islam. Two very important points. One Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was a human being, he was not no he was not a part of Allah, he was not this and that all of this is fabrication and all of this open ship.

00:49:21--> 00:49:30

Nobody salatu salam was a man and how do we know that? Because his Rob said that. So if you say something else, then you are saying that you know more about me Salah Salem than Allah knows.

00:49:32--> 00:49:53

So watch out for that. Allah Salam was a human being Mithra calm like you and me. First point, second point, like you and me only in terms of our genus, only in terms of our existential reality that we are humans. We are not jinn we are not angels.

00:49:56--> 00:49:57

And that's why Las Vegas said

00:49:59--> 00:50:00

but I get

00:50:00--> 00:50:01

way from my rub.

00:50:03--> 00:50:41

And that way he makes him like us in terms of humanity, but completely unlike us in terms of his station and position, because there is no one and no one who is equal to Muhammad Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallahu wa sallam. So when you equate, don't go and equate yourself with nebby, Salah Salem using desire is the whole idea. Today we have two kinds of major misguidance in this world among the Muslims. One is those who raised Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam proposition that he never claimed and his robe never claimed for him. And they make him to be part of the Nur of Allah.

00:50:43--> 00:50:47

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, this is schicke open ship.

00:50:48--> 00:51:00

And we have another kind of misguidance where people lower the position of enemies Allah Allah salam, and compare him and they say he was a lamb man like me. Now we laugh. Now the Bella

00:51:02--> 00:51:07

is not a man like you. He was a human being like you was not a man like you.

00:51:09--> 00:51:20

He is the absolute Gambia he is the Mamma Mia. He is our soul. hamana bien Wakata mursaleen. He is SIBO Sharia is liable for an

00:51:21--> 00:51:24

his position compared to my position and your position

00:51:27--> 00:51:33

is like the position of the sun compared to a grain of sand. There is no comparison whatsoever.

00:51:34--> 00:51:46

The grain of sand may shine because of the sun shining on it. And that's what happens to us. When we work the way on the path of Allah subhanaw taala Allah subhanaw taala gives you some prominence

00:51:47--> 00:52:01
