The prophet

said, Allah has a special group of angels

whose job is to look for gatherings of

dhikr

00:00:09 --> 00:00:11

where Allah is being mentioned and praised. When

00:00:11 --> 00:00:14

these angels find such a lecture, a halakah

00:00:14 --> 00:00:16

and so on, they make an announcement to

00:00:16 --> 00:00:17

the other angels.

00:00:18 --> 00:00:19

Come here to the thing you're looking for.

00:00:19 --> 00:00:21

So the angels get excited and they rush

00:00:21 --> 00:00:23

to that gathering. May Allah make you and

00:00:23 --> 00:00:25

I in such gatherings You Rabb. And the

00:00:25 --> 00:00:28

angels start to surround this gathering and spread

00:00:28 --> 00:00:29

its wings

00:00:29 --> 00:00:32

so much so that many angels attend all

00:00:32 --> 00:00:34

the way to the heavens. Sold out event.

00:00:35 --> 00:00:37

Full house. May Allah protect us

00:00:37 --> 00:00:40

After the gathering is concluded, the halaqa is

00:00:40 --> 00:00:42

over, the angels ascend.

00:00:42 --> 00:00:45

Then Allah asks them the following questions. Though

00:00:45 --> 00:00:48

Allah already knows the answer to all the

00:00:48 --> 00:00:49

questions.

00:00:49 --> 00:00:51

Here is the first one. Allah asks them,

00:00:52 --> 00:00:54

where did you come from? The angels reply,

00:00:54 --> 00:00:56

we came from a group of servants of

00:00:56 --> 00:00:58

yours. May Allah make us his servant You

00:00:58 --> 00:01:01

Rab. So then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and

00:01:01 --> 00:01:03

then also another authentic narration, he asks the

00:01:03 --> 00:01:06

angels, what were my servants saying?

00:01:07 --> 00:01:10

The angels reply, they were glorifying you, praising

00:01:10 --> 00:01:11

you, you Allah,

00:01:11 --> 00:01:15

honoring you, worshiping you. Then Allah asks the

00:01:15 --> 00:01:18

angels, have they seen me? The angel said,

00:01:18 --> 00:01:18

no, Allahi.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:21

They have not seen you You Allah. So

00:01:21 --> 00:01:22

Allah asks,

00:01:22 --> 00:01:25

how would their behavior be had they seen

00:01:25 --> 00:01:28

me? Their attitude, how would it be? The

00:01:28 --> 00:01:29

angels reply

00:01:29 --> 00:01:31

had they seen you you Allah, they would

00:01:31 --> 00:01:33

increase in their glorification.

00:01:34 --> 00:01:35

They would praise you from the bottom of

00:01:35 --> 00:01:38

the heart. They would increase in their praise

00:01:38 --> 00:01:39

to you. Then Allah says,

00:01:40 --> 00:01:42

what is it that they ask from me?

00:01:42 --> 00:01:44

What is it that they want? The angels

00:01:44 --> 00:01:46

reply, may Allah bless these angels. They they

00:01:46 --> 00:01:48

hook us up. They reply on your behalf,

00:01:48 --> 00:01:48

Insha'Allah.

00:01:48 --> 00:01:51

The angels reply, they ask to enter your

00:01:51 --> 00:01:52

paradise, genetic.

00:01:53 --> 00:01:56

So Allah said, did they ever seen my

00:01:56 --> 00:01:56

paradise?

00:01:57 --> 00:01:59

The angels reply, no they have not seen

00:01:59 --> 00:02:02

it, o our Lord. So Allah asks, how

00:02:02 --> 00:02:05

would they behave had they seen my paradise?

00:02:05 --> 00:02:06

So you and I are in dunya. Let's

00:02:06 --> 00:02:08

say Allah opens up the sky and we

00:02:08 --> 00:02:09

see Jannah.

00:02:09 --> 00:02:12

How would our attitude change? The angel said,

00:02:12 --> 00:02:15

had they seen it, they would ask even

00:02:15 --> 00:02:18

more for it. They would do everything that

00:02:18 --> 00:02:20

leads to it, and they would desire it

00:02:20 --> 00:02:23

more than ever before. Then Allah asks the

00:02:23 --> 00:02:23

last question.

00:02:24 --> 00:02:26

What is it that they seek refuge from?

00:02:26 --> 00:02:29

The angels reply from the hellfire, from Jahannam.

00:02:30 --> 00:02:33

Then Allah asks, have they seen it? The

00:02:33 --> 00:02:35

angels reply, no, they have not seen it,

00:02:35 --> 00:02:38

oh our Lord. So Allah asks, how would

00:02:38 --> 00:02:40

they behave had they seen it? If you

00:02:40 --> 00:02:42

and I see Jahannam today, may Allah protect

00:02:42 --> 00:02:44

you and I from it. How would your

00:02:44 --> 00:02:46

day change? How would your night change? How

00:02:46 --> 00:02:49

would your browsing change? The angels, they reply,

00:02:49 --> 00:02:51

had they seen it, you Allah, they would

00:02:51 --> 00:02:54

fear it even more. They would stay away

00:02:54 --> 00:02:57

from anything that would lead them to it.

00:02:57 --> 00:02:58

Then Allah says,

00:02:59 --> 00:03:01

bear witness, oh angels, that I have forgiven

00:03:02 --> 00:03:05

all those in that gathering, Allahu Akbar.

00:03:05 --> 00:03:07

But one of the angels says something. Look

00:03:07 --> 00:03:09

what the angel says.

00:03:09 --> 00:03:10

You Allah,

00:03:10 --> 00:03:12

there was one person

00:03:12 --> 00:03:15

among the gathering who did not come for

00:03:15 --> 00:03:15

the gathering

00:03:16 --> 00:03:17

and he is a severe sinner.

00:03:18 --> 00:03:19

His khatta,

00:03:19 --> 00:03:22

so much haram that he does and he

00:03:22 --> 00:03:25

even just came for a personal worldly reason.

00:03:26 --> 00:03:28

So he didn't come to hear the Quran

00:03:28 --> 00:03:30

or a lecture just for a worldly matter.

00:03:30 --> 00:03:32

That's it. Maybe there's dinner, there's food, whatever

00:03:32 --> 00:03:35

the case is. Allah replies ready?

00:03:36 --> 00:03:36

He says,

00:03:37 --> 00:03:38

this is a gathering

00:03:38 --> 00:03:41

that no one leaves as a loser, meaning

00:03:41 --> 00:03:42

that man too

00:03:43 --> 00:03:44

is also forgiven.

00:03:44 --> 00:03:46

The barakah of such gathering,

00:03:47 --> 00:03:48

the in it. May Allah allow you and

00:03:48 --> 00:03:50

I to live in our lives where we

00:03:50 --> 00:03:53

are always in such attendance of beautiful gatherings,

00:03:53 --> 00:03:55

and may Allah protect you and I from

00:03:55 --> 00:03:56

evil gatherings.
