Self-isolating – Take advantage of your time

now that most of us are in isolation, staying at home,

we are not going out to work, we're not going to go

you know, to enjoy ourselves. We're restricted to our houses. There's a hadith that I just wanted to remind all of us about a hadith that I'm sure many of us have heard of. Before.

This Hadith the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, evil ternium hums and kubla humps

take advantage of five before five.

Take advantage of five things before another five come and disrupt those things. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,

Take advantage of

your Shebaa your youthful days before

your old age. So take advantage of this time when you're young.

Because it's not going to last forever.

You're going to age, you're going to become old.

And those youthful days

are going to go away.

Why specifically did the process on tape tell us to take advantage of these days when we're young. Because when you're young, you have energy.

When you're at the prime of your youth, you have full energy to do whatever you want. So spend it wisely.

Spend it wisely for your dunya and your IRA. Because the time will come when you'll get old. Ask any old person and he'll tell you

that he wishes that he had taken advantage of those days when he was younger. The second he said sort of long it was it

Take advantage of your health

before your sickness.

And this is a profound piece of advice

There are people who are in hospital beds today

So you have free time now you have a healthy body take advantage of it.

Today you have money, you're financially well off tomorrow, you can be in poverty. And again,

This is a reminder that we can see before our very eyes. Many people today because of the current crisis are being laid off.

They had good jobs. Today, they no longer have those jobs. Take advantage of this time that you have in which you are well off. Use your money wisely, use it for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala spend it on what is obligatory for you to spend it on.

And don't waste it.

The fourth thing the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said,

Well, for all published,

again, very, very, a piece of advice that is very, very suitable for our times. Take advantage of your free time before your busy time.

Like I said, many of us are sitting at home,

you have a lot of free time on our on our hands out right now.

time that we're not going to have in the near future, when we go back to our daily routines.

This is time that we have to use wisely. If we don't spend this time wisely now and we wasted, then that's it, it's not going to come back.

The Muslim is wise with his time.

Time is something we should value.

And so ask yourself, what have you been doing all these days sitting at home?

Instead of busying yourself on social media and following the news,

why not spend it, opening the Quran

reading a few pages, memorizing something new, memorizing a new surah opening a book trying to educate yourself about Islam,

listening to a lecture

and so on and so forth. In the editor of Allah, the prophet SAW, Selim said

that in times of crisis in times of Fitton

when there's a lot of people dying,

and there's a lot of killing in these times, during the data of busy this free time that you have now, in the era of turning to Allah subhanahu wa tada in different kinds of activity that

finally the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Well, hey, I took a problematic take advantage of your life before your death.

Again

1000s of people have died

from this pandemic.

None of them imagined

that they would see their death so soon.

Some are lying under hospital beds not knowing if they are next, to move on to the next world.

And so today you are alive.

Tomorrow, you may not be

yes, we shouldn't

cause fear and panic in the people. And we should say one thing's for sure.

And that is that you will die.

And your death is not something known. It could happen today. It could happen tomorrow. It could happen through this virus, it could happen through any other way.

But as long as you are alive, then take advantage of this life that Allah has given to you. Because it's only one life. And once it's over, that's it.

Your Book of Records will be closed and sealed.

And so we ask Allah Subhana Houma to Allah

to help us all to take advantage of this time that we have wisely.

We ask Allah subhanahu wa tada to protect each and every single one of us and our loved ones, and to protect the Muslims wherever they may be. And we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make us from among his obedient servants, who

take benefit

and derive lessons from
