They have to try to put it to an end. And if it is individuals, they target they target their finances.

They close down their bank accounts.

They put sanctions on them.

00:29:43--> 00:29:45

If it is society's countries,

they do the same economic sanctions.

00:29:50--> 00:29:54

And so this is because they know very well

00:29:55--> 00:29:59

that without funding without funding you cannot carry

00:30:00--> 00:30:02

On being influential

00:30:03--> 00:30:04

in spreading

00:30:06--> 00:30:07

and spreading the deen of Islam.

And so

this weapon is a very old weapon. If we see it being used today,

then we should realize it's nothing new.

It's nothing new. And we have seen in recent history, especially after 911, how,

how they have used this tool and this weapon

00:30:34--> 00:30:34

to target

00:30:36--> 00:30:37

to target the Dow

00:30:40--> 00:30:42

and how so many

00:30:43--> 00:30:45

successful Dow projects came to an end

because of this, labeling those people as being terrorists,

00:30:54--> 00:30:58

or sympathizing with terrorists, and so on and so forth.

00:30:59--> 00:31:01

The second lesson that we learn

00:31:04--> 00:31:04

is

to benefit from the values that non that non Muslims may have values and principles like that of justice, that are upheld

by

by non Muslims. And so, here we saw how

they were individuals from kurush. They happen to be non Muslims, but they stood with the Muslims because

because of this value that they had,

of justice, that we are going to uphold justice.

And so likewise, today, we Muslims, we need to utilize whatever we can

from these values that are upheld by the kuffar

and use it to our advantage.

And so if they value

human rights,

and freedom, according to their interpretation of human rights, and their interpretation of freedom, fine. We don't agree with their interpretation of it, but we can utilize it

to our advantage. And so for example, we have Muslims who are suffering

00:32:32--> 00:32:34

in different parts of the world.

00:32:35--> 00:32:47

We need to get up and lobby those organizations that stand up for human rights and say, look, there are Muslims who are suffering in China, for no other reason, then

their Deen that they decided to hold on to where is freedom of religion? Where are their human rights?

The Muslims are suffering in Gaza in other parts of the world.

00:33:02--> 00:33:06

Where are their human rights, and so there are people out there

in this society,

00:33:10--> 00:33:22

who have these values. And so we should take advantage of that and approach her and even their organizations and utilize them

to end the suffering of our Muslim brothers and sisters wherever they b&b.

As we see in the story,

and how it was,

it was non Muslims from Croatia who stood up and came to the aid and to bring an end to the suffering that the Muslims were going through.

The third lesson that we learned

is the importance of working together in an organized fashion.

We saw in this event that five people made a difference.

And so the whole embargo

came to an end due to the efforts of only five people.

And it started with one person

one night,

he had an idea in his mind that he set out to implement it.

And he recruited a few people who were around him

00:34:23--> 00:34:29

finally bringing an end to this oppressive boycott. So what this shows us

00:34:30--> 00:34:33

is the value of working together in an organized

00:34:35--> 00:34:36

and United Way.

00:34:38--> 00:34:43

So this Dean, it needs, it needs men who will stand up

00:34:45--> 00:34:46

and will act

00:34:47--> 00:34:48

and

00:34:50--> 00:34:52

the first step needs to be taken by us.

We can't expect

The situation of our own need to change overnight, or to change unless we do something about it.

We need to take the first step. And we need to go about it in an organized way.

decided

that you know what,

let's just go with the status quo.

00:35:41--> 00:35:58

They're suffering, okay, what can we do about it? No, there was one man he had to determination. He was going to do something about it. And he got these other men involved. And they went about doing things in an organized way.

The fourth lesson that we learned is

00:36:03--> 00:36:06

that oppression and injustice

00:36:08--> 00:36:10

eventually has an end to it.

00:36:14--> 00:36:18

It's not a matter of if it will end.

00:36:20--> 00:36:22

It may be a matter of when.

00:36:24--> 00:36:27

And so it's a matter of when and not if.

00:36:29--> 00:36:33

When will it end? Not if it will end or not.

00:36:36--> 00:36:39

So Allah subhanahu wa Tada says in clear words.

Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the oppressors are doing.

When we see the oppression that Muslims are going through

Allah lot is fully aware, but Allah allows it to prolong

for reasons that he knows.

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the companions went through the suffering for two to three years.

Eating off of leaves of dreams.

going hungry for nights?

Isn't the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the most beloved of Allah's creation to him and the Companions

was a lot of awareness.

But the point is,

00:37:46--> 00:37:47

the point is,

00:37:48--> 00:37:52

that Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, He wants to test us.

He wants to see will we remain patient or not?

00:37:59--> 00:38:04

And so when it comes to an end, it comes to an end in the lease have expected of ways,

in ways least expected.

As we saw here,

did any of the companions or the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself imagine that the that the embargo would end in this way?

Did anyone imagine from the Muslims? That it would be people of Quraysh who would come and step in and do something about it? No.

So this should make us to stand firm and patiently through tough times and are given

The fifth and the final lesson that we learn

the document was destroyed.

the miracle of the termites, eating up the document.

Allah subhanho wa Taala says, well, now here I am with Giroud Arabica, Allah who

no one knows of the soldiers of Allah except him.

Who would imagine that tiny insects, termites would be soldiers of Allah, destroying that oppressive document.

00:40:31--> 00:40:34

Likewise, we have seen

from the Stories of the Prophets,

00:40:39--> 00:40:40

how small creatures

00:40:42--> 00:40:43

were the soldiers of Allah.

00:40:44--> 00:40:48

It was birds that destroyed the army of the elephant.

00:40:52--> 00:40:54

Water which is a source of life.

00:40:57--> 00:40:59

Allah used it as one of his soldiers,

00:41:01--> 00:41:04

destroying the people of New in that flood,

00:41:05--> 00:41:11

drowning Pharaoh Hound and his troops. Anything can be the soldier of Allah.

00:41:12--> 00:41:14

The point is that

00:41:16--> 00:41:17

the entire creation of Allah,

00:41:19--> 00:41:27

every creature is subservient to Allah is a servant and a slave of Allah. And when Allah calls upon His creation,

00:41:28--> 00:41:29

and He mobilizes them,

00:41:31--> 00:41:36

they readily abide, and they act as his soldiers.

00:41:39--> 00:41:40

Now,

00:41:41--> 00:41:44

since we are on the topic of miracles,

we can

mention here two important events that happened in the Sierra.

That were, in fact, miracles of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

And both of these events occurred

around this time,

00:42:07--> 00:42:08

you in this era,

00:42:09--> 00:42:11

so between the seventh

00:42:12--> 00:42:22

and the 10th, year of the prophethood. Because the embargo took place in this time, from the seventh to the 10th year,

00:42:23--> 00:42:25

the Islam of

00:42:26--> 00:42:28

Hamza, and Rama was prior to this.

00:42:29--> 00:42:40

The Hijra to Abyssinia was prior to this in the fifth year. So now we are in approximately the seventh to the 10th year of the prophet hood.

And so before moving on to the events of the 10th year,

00:42:45--> 00:42:54

which we're going to come to next week in sha Allah, the events of the 10th year Before moving on, we can mention two very important incidents,

both of which were miracles of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:43:01--> 00:43:03

And so the first of these miracles

00:43:04--> 00:43:07

was the splitting of the moon,

00:43:09--> 00:43:11

the splitting of the moon

00:43:13--> 00:43:20

and so the people of Quraysh were always asking the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for assign an area

00:43:21--> 00:43:36

a miracle. And we spoke about this before. And we mentioned how them demanding such miracles did not mean that they were seeking the truth and seeking to actually embrace Islam.

00:43:39--> 00:43:41

But rather it was just their arrogance.

00:43:44--> 00:43:46

As if the Quran itself was not sufficient.

00:43:48--> 00:43:52

The Quran itself was the greatest miracle that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam came with

00:43:54--> 00:44:00

putting an end to their competitions that they used to have in poetry.

00:44:03--> 00:44:09

The Quran itself was a miracle. It was the best miracle that the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam brought

00:44:11--> 00:44:11

anyways,

00:44:13--> 00:44:17

Allah subhanahu Attallah decided to give them a miracle.

00:44:19--> 00:44:20

And so

00:44:21--> 00:44:30

Gibreel came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and said, if they are asking for a sign for a miracle, then we will split the moon for them.

00:44:32--> 00:44:41

And so Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam called the kuffaar and the machete cone and said, the moon will be split into two halves.

00:44:42--> 00:44:55

And so they gathered at night and right before their eyes, they saw the moon split into two into two halves and then it was rejoined, came back together.

00:44:58--> 00:44:59

And so this is it.

00:45:00--> 00:45:01

A very unique miracle.

00:45:03--> 00:45:07

And it is an event that is firmly established.

00:45:09--> 00:45:15

It's mentioned in Bihari, in Muslim, there's no doubt that this event occurred.

00:45:18--> 00:45:21

In fact, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in the Quran

00:45:23--> 00:45:25

and Sunnah to cover the moon.

00:45:27--> 00:45:34

Allah subhanho wa Taala says right in the beginning of the surah Katara that is sir to one shot called Kumar,

00:45:35--> 00:45:42

the Hour has drawn near, the day of judgment has come near, and the moon has split into two.

00:45:44--> 00:45:50

So, the splitting of the moon, we can include it as one of the signs of the Day of Judgment.

00:45:52--> 00:46:00

And then Allah subhanahu Attallah says, we're in euro area 10 Euro real do ya are cool to see rooster

00:46:02--> 00:46:04

yet, whenever they see a sign, and if

00:46:06--> 00:46:09

so, after they saw the moon splitting into two,

00:46:10--> 00:46:16

they left and they said, Allah says whenever they see a sign, they turn away

00:46:17--> 00:46:20

saying this is the same old magic.

00:46:22--> 00:46:29

This is the same old magic. So they accused the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam of performing magic

00:46:33--> 00:46:35

but it was not an optical illusion.

00:46:37--> 00:46:38

It really did happen.

00:46:42--> 00:46:44

And so the moon did split into two.

00:46:46--> 00:46:47

However

00:46:50--> 00:46:56

critics, they may criticize and cast doubt on this particular event.

00:46:57--> 00:47:00

And so for example, they may say,

00:47:02--> 00:47:05

How come other people in other parts of the world do not see?

00:47:07--> 00:47:14

Or why don't we have such an important event documented recorded.

00:47:17--> 00:47:18

And so to respond to this,

00:47:20--> 00:47:21

we can say firstly,

00:47:24--> 00:47:27

the world is in different time zones.

00:47:28--> 00:47:33

Half of the world at that time, it was daytime for them right?

00:47:35--> 00:47:44

In Mecca, it was nighttime, then for half of the world it was it was daytime. So how could How could they see it.

00:47:45--> 00:47:48

So now we can rule out half of the world.

00:47:50--> 00:47:56

Within the other half of the world, it was probably very late at night that people were sleeping.

00:47:57--> 00:47:58

So many people did not see it.

00:48:01--> 00:48:01

Second,

00:48:03--> 00:48:06

it could be that the moon

00:48:08--> 00:48:12

was not apparent to the people in that time zone.

00:48:14--> 00:48:15

So in other parts of the world

00:48:17--> 00:48:18

at that time,

00:48:20--> 00:48:23

perhaps because of the weather, they weren't able to see the one.

00:48:24--> 00:48:27

So now we have eliminated

00:48:28--> 00:48:33

many other parts of the world. So now we have most of the world. We've ruled out

00:48:35--> 00:48:37

them having seen this miracle.

00:48:38--> 00:48:38

Thirdly,

00:48:40--> 00:48:45

in the remaining part where it was possible, the moon was visible.

00:48:46--> 00:48:50

It was possible for the people to have seen it. We can say

00:48:51--> 00:48:55

how many people actually go about looking up at the sky and looking up at the moon.

00:48:57--> 00:48:58

Most people don't do that.

00:49:01--> 00:49:04

People tend to ignore the sky above them

00:49:05--> 00:49:07

unless they're lying down and they're looking above.

00:49:09--> 00:49:17

So when it was split, it is possible that they didn't see it because they simply were not paying attention to it.

00:49:18--> 00:49:23

And remember that this miracle didn't last for that long.

00:49:25--> 00:49:29

It was perhaps for a few seconds, maybe a minute at the most.

00:49:31--> 00:49:32

Fourthly,

00:49:33--> 00:49:34

in those days,

00:49:36--> 00:49:38

documentation was very weak.

00:49:39--> 00:49:41

Many events

00:49:42--> 00:49:43

have occurred in history

00:49:45--> 00:49:46

in the past,

00:49:47--> 00:49:51

without people bothering to record it to write it down.

You know, it's a new phenomenon. In this day and age where we record everything every event is record

00:50:00--> 00:50:02

worded and it's now put on the internet, etc.

00:50:03--> 00:50:05

You know, even a small event,

00:50:06--> 00:50:09

if you were to search it, you'll find information about it. But in those days

00:50:14--> 00:50:19

first of all, the majority of people were illiterate, not everyone knew how to read or write.

00:50:23--> 00:50:26

And so those who could actually have recorded it were few.

00:50:28--> 00:50:30

But even those few, maybe they didn't see it, or,

00:50:32--> 00:50:35

or they didn't bother to record it.

00:50:38--> 00:50:44

So now, there remains the possibility that some people did see it, and they did record it.

00:50:46--> 00:50:48

And there is evidence of that.

00:50:49--> 00:50:53

We actually do have evidence of that. And so

00:50:56--> 00:50:57

even cathedra actually mentions

00:50:58--> 00:50:59

that

00:51:02--> 00:51:05

it has been recorded in India and in China.

00:51:07--> 00:51:10

And so they say that, in China, there are some old writings,

00:51:12--> 00:51:15

where they say that a certain event happened

00:51:16--> 00:51:18

on the year that the moon was split.

00:51:19--> 00:51:21

So they use it as reference

00:51:22--> 00:51:23

to document history.

00:51:24--> 00:51:26

Also, it is mentioned

00:51:27--> 00:51:30

that there was a king in Southern India,

00:51:32--> 00:51:35

in the state of Madiba, who saw it.

00:51:37--> 00:51:45

And he recorded it, and there is a document, it's in one of the museum's where this is mentioned.

00:51:47--> 00:51:48

Finally,

00:51:49--> 00:51:51

it is mentioned by some astronomers

00:51:53--> 00:51:58

that there appears to be a long divide a line

00:52:00--> 00:52:02

that goes around the moon.

00:52:07--> 00:52:09

And so it is possible

00:52:10--> 00:52:15

that this indicates that the moon was split and then joined back together.

00:52:18--> 00:52:22

And this line, if you were to look at different images of the moon, you could see it.

But nonetheless, we don't rely on this.

Because it could turn out

that they discover that this is something else.

And it's not really a line going around the entire moon for example. The point is that this information needs to be verified before we actually use it. The point is that

the other points are sufficient. The points that we have mentioned are sufficient to refute anyone who tries to object

00:52:56--> 00:53:06

to this miracle that did indeed happen. The splitting of the moon, we come now to the second miracle.

And that is

the victory

of the Romans, the victory of the Romans.

Throughout history,

even before the coming of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam. There used to be continuous rivalry between two superpowers of the world.

The Romans, or the Byzantines

00:53:37--> 00:53:41

and the Persians. They always used to fight against each other.

00:53:43--> 00:53:44

And so

00:53:45--> 00:53:50

the Persian Empire, it included parts of Iran, Iraq,

00:53:51--> 00:53:52

Afghanistan.

00:53:54--> 00:53:58

As for the Byzantine Empire, the Roman Empire.

00:54:00--> 00:54:02

It included Turkey,

00:54:04--> 00:54:07

parts of Eastern Europe, Greece, the Balkans,

00:54:09--> 00:54:11

Azerbaijan, Armenia, etc.

00:54:13--> 00:54:15

Now in one critical battle

00:54:16--> 00:54:19

between these two empires,

00:54:20--> 00:54:23

the Persians had defeated the Romans.

00:54:25--> 00:54:28

The Persians had defeated the Romans.

00:54:30--> 00:54:31

This happened

00:54:32--> 00:54:40

in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam around this time between the seventh and the 10th year of prophethood.

So news reached Mecca

00:54:44--> 00:54:51

and the machete cone of Quraysh we're extremely happy to hear this news. While the Muslims were sad.

Why?

that victory was very defeated, decisive

for the Persians, because after that, they were they were gaining

and they were winning victory after victory. It seemed inevitable that they would bring the Roman Empire to its feet and bring it down.

And that's why the mushy, cool rejoicing, they were saying finally,

00:56:33--> 00:56:40

the Persians are going to completely destroy the Romans. And we to tomorrow, one day, we will also defeat you.

00:56:42--> 00:56:45

And so this is when Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed Surah Toro

And on that day,

on that day, the Muslims, the believers will rejoice over the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whomever he wills and He is the Exalted in Might, the Most Merciful.

We come to the second year of the Hijra.

And eight years have passed by and the Romans now have defeated the Persians.

The Promise of Allah has been fulfilled.

In a few years, the Romans will defeat the Persians. Yes, it happened.

And the news now reaches the Muslims.

But

did they rejoice over that victory of the Romans? No. Why? Because on that same day, the Muslims had defeated the machinery cool on the day of battle.

So yes, they were rejoicing.

But over the victory of Allah, Allah gave to them.

Over the victory of Allah, Allah, Allah subhanho wa Taala gave to them. And so they received the news of this day, and the victory

something to rejoice over. This is what most of the scholars of Tafseer mentioned,
