My dear brothers and sisters.
If you were to look around you
everyone in this world
is searching for something.
Every single person
no matter how young or old they are.
They're searching for this treasure.
Whether you're in your 20s in your 40s in your 60s,
No matter who you are, you're looking for one thing in life. And that is happiness,
a happier life.
And so look around you.
Whatever you find people doing
whatever path they've chosen to take,
it's all in pursuit of a happier life.
Whether they do it lawfully,
or whether they do it illegally. It's all in the pursuit
of a happier life. And so some people, they think
that more wealth
will bring me happiness.
And so they spend years and years
in pursuit
of something
that will help them to achieve that, well.
Whether it be a career, whether it be something else, others who couldn't do it through lawful means, through struggle and hardship, they resort to Hurrah means, thinking that if I do this, I will achieve that wealth, and I will achieve happiness, such as gambling.
Others, they think that happiness is achieved,
through fulfilling my lustful desires.
And so they resort to Xena.
They resort to alcohol, to drugs,
to listening to music,
others, they search for happiness,
through manmade ways of achieving internal spiritual happiness.
And so that's why many people today are resorting to religions like Buddhism,
and things like yoga,
thinking that these methods will help me to achieve that inner happiness that are missing.
But what do we find in all of these examples?
These are just a few of the many examples
of the ways that people are taking
to achieve happiness.
But what do we find common in all of these examples?
What we find
is that those who have achieved their goal
among all of these people, those who have achieved that goal
that they were pursuing, thinking that this will bring them happiness,
what we find is that it brought them happiness
for a short period of time.
It gave them a temporary kind of happiness
that they enjoyed for us a period of time.
But that soon faded away. And so it was an imaginary kind of happiness,
like a thirsty one. In a desert, on a hot day, he sees in the distance, what seems to him to look like water.
But when does he find out that it is not water, water, but rather, it was only a mirage?
Once he approaches it, once he comes near it.
And so once he reaches it, he finds out that it was only something imaginary.
Why my dear brothers and sisters, why is it that chasing after
material happiness?
And man made ways of achieving happiness? Why is it
that it doesn't fulfill
that internal happiness and bliss
that we're searching for?
The answer is very simple.
It's because
just like a loss of hair, know who what to Hannah
is the creator of everything.
Everything besides a loss of Hannah who went to Allah and His attributes are from the creation of Allah.
Likewise, happiness is something that Allah has created.
Misery grief is also
Something that Allah subhanahu wa taala created. And so if Allah subhanho wa Taala was the creator of happiness and bliss.
How can you expect him subhanho wa Taala to gift it
to those who turn away from him?
To those who don't obey Him.
Happiness is a gift. It's something that Allah created. And it's something that Allah only gives to those who deserve it.
And they are those who live a life of obedience to Allah subhanahu wa tada submitting to him obeying His commands, why would he have had who were to Allah give it to those who turn away from him?
To those who are ungrateful to him so head over to Hana
and this is something that Allah subhanahu wa tada told us of in the Quran.
Woman decree
for in Allahumma, Isha Tonka.
Those who turn away from my rememberings and here refers to the Quran, those who turn away from Allah and the message that Allah has sent.
What will they have
for in Allahumma? Chateau Blanca
for them is a miserable life
when a shooter who yom al qiyamah Tiana
What about Akira? Allah tells us we will raise him on the Day of Judgment blind
or not be living Lima has shortened IANA workers according to basura. He will say My Lord, why have you raised me on this day?
When in the junior I used to see perfectly
or like a dolly karateka tuna cinecitta work at a local yo matanza. It will be said
our IRS came to you in the dunya.
But what did you do?
You neglected them you turned away from them. You were heedless of our ayat. So on this day, you too will be forgotten.
In contrast to that,
what does Allah subhanahu wa taala tell us?
of those who are obedient to Him?
Many hamilo so saw Li Han
Min zakarin.
Whoever does righteous good deeds, whether he be male or female.
And this is the condition
that he is a believer that he or she is a believer who does righteous good deeds.
Further No.
We will surely let them live a good life, a happy life, happy life, a blissful life.
What energy and
drama? Can we
ask for that?
We will reward them
recompense them with the best of what they used to do. And so my dear brothers and sisters true happiness.
true happiness is a gift from Allah subhanho wa Taala. That he only gives to those who deserve it. true happiness is not in the pursuit of material happiness. Because if it was,
if it was,
then today, the happiest people alive
would be those who have everything of the dunya
would be those who have achieved everything, all the luxuries of the dunya
those who are living in those parts of the world where they have everything.
But yet what do we find?
We find the opposite.
And that's why
one of them he writes
a Western Professor he writes in a book
that he entitles happiness. He writes, there is a paradox at the at the heart of our lives. Most people want higher income, and they strive for it. Yet as Western societies have
have gotten richer.
There people have gotten no happier.
And so this explains
this explains how, in Western societies
what do we find?
We find the many cases of depression, of anxiety on the rise.
We find
the use of antidepressants, has multiplied hundreds of times, we find the rates of suicide, increasing, not decreasing.
Even though
the people in Western societies have everything
that any person ever wants.
But now contrast that
with what they call
the underdeveloped world
in which many Muslim countries fall under.
What do we find?
We find high percentage of poverty.
We find the people living,
modest lives.
They don't have the luxuries that we have in this part of the world. On top of that, we find them coping with calamity after calamity.
Look at our Muslim brothers and sisters in Syria.
Look at what's happening to our brothers and sisters in Kashmir.
Look at what's happening to them in Palestine. Wherever you go in the Muslim world.
wars are raging on
and people are losing everything that they've ever had it.
They lose it, they're losing their loved ones. They're losing their homes.
And yet, what do you find
the state of these people in?
Do you find them miserable?
Do you find them taking their lives in suicide? No.
But rather, you find that these people are the happiest people on the face of this earth.
Why?
Because it's like the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
ladies sell arena and throttle.
That richness
is not through an abundance of the dunia
Willa Qin Ella Rena, Rena knifes but rather richness is by having a rich heart. A rich soul. my dear brothers and sisters
this happiness that we find
that the believers have.
The other is don't
What is the secret
behind it?
What is the secret
that makes a true believer
Happy in this life.
whereas others
they're searching for happiness everywhere,
but they can't find it.
If we look at some of the lies, the lives of the scholars of Islam,
and before them the Sahaba
and before them the prophets and the messengers of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
If a person was to look at their lives
outwardly,
they would say
that these people,
they lived miserable lives.
They lived in poverty.
They lived in trial after trial calamity upon calamity.
How can you expect such people
to have lived happy lives?
But what do you find in their lives, you find that they were the happiest of people to ever walk the face of this earth.
Take one example, Shahada, Islam, it will take me
who lived
through many trials in his life.
He was imprisoned. He was tortured.
He was expelled from his land.
And yet, as he's sitting in his prison cell, shackled.
What does he say?
He says, in a famous and profound quote, what can my enemies do to me?
My Paradise and my garden, lie in my heart, and they never separate from me.
If I am in prison, then it is seclusion to worship My Lord.
And if I am killed,
then it is Shahada. He said the law it is martyrdom.
And if I am expelled from my land, then it is an opportunity to travel
and see the land of Allah subhanahu wa Tada.
And so on the one hand,
you find some people
whose freedom has been taken away from them.
And they're bound and shackled in a prison cell.
And yet,
they are the happiest of people lie.
On the other hand,
you have to find people,
such as in this part of the world, who have everything that a person can ever wish for.
And their freedom is not restricted. But yet
they will take away their own lives and commit suicide. Why?
What's the secret?
The Secret My dear brothers and sisters.
The secret lies
in the believers he man in Allah subhanho wa Taala and his he man
in the era
that is the only secret
and so think about it.
The believer
his email leads him
to a love for Allah subhanho wa Taala that supersedes the love for anyone else.
And so whatever he does in this life,
He does it because of his love for Allah subhanho wa Taala whereas everyone else, they do what they do because of their love for others.
Think about it.
The believer believes
in his Lord
who has certain attributes
such as, or Raja Raja,
the one who provides
a believer who believes
that there his Lord is the one who provides and no one else
then he'll be satisfied. He'll be content with what he has.
He'll be satisfied and content with what he has because he knows
that it is only Allah subhana wa tada who is the true provider. And so
whatever my salary is,
whatever difficult find out
times I'm going through
I am a happy and contented slave of Allah subhanahu wa Tada.
Think about it.
Think about the believers.
Amen.
In the culture of Allah subhanho wa Taala
he believes that whatever happens in this world, it happens because Allah wields for it to happen, because Allah
preordained for it to happen in this way.
And that no matter what I could have done, no matter what others could have done,
this quarter of Allah
could never have been avoided.
And so whatever calamity I'm going through,
if I'm stricken with an illness,
with a financial calamity,
with poverty,
if I have lost a loved one,
if I have lost my home, if I have lost everything in this dunya,
then I happy and content. Why?
Because I know that whatever Allah does, for the believer, he does for a wisdom, and he does for his own good.
Think about the believer,
and his belief, and his he man,
in the Day of Judgment.
Whatever the believer does in this life,
whatever hardship he goes through,
whatever sacrifice he makes, he makes it for who,
for a loss of Hannah, who went to Hana, and in order to see the reward of that sacrifice, in that hardship,
on the day of judgment,
and so whatever difficult he went through,
in this life,
whatever hardship he faced, in trying to avoid heroin,
and trying to avoid falling into the disobedience of Allah subhanahu wa taala, even though it was easy for him to do so.
He sacrificed that
he gave that up.
And that hardship that he went through that sacrifice that he made, he hopes to see its reward on the Day of Judgment.
Think about the believer,
and his man in the Day of Judgment,
the day in which justice will prevail.
And so a believer
who sees oppression around him,
whether he faces that oppression himself,
or whether it be oppression that faces his Muslim brothers and sisters, wherever it be on the face of this earth.
He doesn't fall into depression.
He doesn't fall into misery. Because he knows that Allah subhana wa, tada is fully aware, not that he's unaware, not that Ally's heedless, but rather, as Allah says, one at seven aloha feelin
moon, don't think the Allies unaware of what the oppressors are doing.
In your fetal home, Leo min, Tasha, Sophie Hill absorbed, but rather, Allah only delays these oppressors for a day in which the eyes will be staring in horror.
And so my dear brothers and sisters
are believers, a man in the era
leads him to live a happy and contented life in this world. But how about
whatever happiness we achieve in this world, it is temporary. It is something that will last for a few days.
As for the happiness of the hero, than for the believer, it is an eternal happiness that outweighs every luxury. In this dunya
as a prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Ma'am, in Abyssinia moved to LA Huang de la jolla
that no servant dials and moves on to the next world. And he sees good that Allah has prepared for him into
what did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say? He said, No, I mean Abyssinia, mucho en de la Hi, you
Your soul Rahu and your GI ella dounia Weller who fit dounia one mafia.
That's such a believer when he goes on to the era.
He doesn't wish he doesn't wish to return back to the dunya.
Even if he was given all of the dunya and the luxuries in it, he would still wish that he would never return to the dunya because of what awaits for him in the era. And then, on the day he enters gender
and he sees its pleasure and its eternal happiness. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us of a servant from the people of Jenna, who won't enter gender directly know
who will only simply be dipped into Jenna
will only taste something small of Jenna, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said will you be at the mercy but cinfed dunia mean lol Jana
that a person from gender from the people of gender.
He will be brought on that day.
And he will be a person who lived what appears to be in the dunya the most miserable kind of life.
For us well who served over 10 feet agenda for you call hula Who? Jada Adam? Hello?
Hello raita helmet Rebecca. she'd gotten caught.
He will be dipped only dipped into Jenna. And then he will be asked, Oh son of Adam.
Have you ever seen any pain and misery?
Have you ever passed a day meaning in the dunya? That was miserable for you? That was difficult for you? What will he saying? He will say level law ma'am or Robbie butson.
Allah or you
know, my Lord,
I did not see
a single misery,
a single day of hardship in the dunya
and so that eternal happiness will make the servant to forget about all the difficulties that he ever faced. In this dunya I ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make us all from the inhabitants of Jenna I ask Allah subhanahu wa tada to grant us happiness in this dunya and everlasting bliss in the
