In the previous episode, we looked at the definition of the heart and what is meant by the heart. And so we discussed how the true meaning of the heart is not the actual physical organ in our body, but rather, the spiritual heart, the heart that understands that comprehends that ponder.

And it is this heart that Allah subhanho wa Taala has addressed in the Quran, and how it is this heart that will come on the Day of Judgment, and will be questioned about what it led us to.

In this episode, we're going to move on to look at the life and death of that spiritual heart.

And so most people they think that a living heart means a living, human being,

and that a dead heart, it means a dead human being.

the physical appearance, the reality is that the true life and death of the heart is something totally different than what the doctors may tell you, or what the scientists may tell you today.

And so, the true life of the heart, the true life of the heart, is actually recognizing its creator, Allah subhanho wa Taala and recognizing its need to believe in a law and its need to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala, loving him, relying upon him, fearing him, putting its hope for its reward in Allah subhanho wa Taala and so on and so forth.

And so he will avoid what is harmful for him, and he will do everything to achieve what is beneficial to him. And so he will eat and he will drink because he knows that this is important in order for him to live and he will stay away from harmful things.

Now, I want to bring your attention to one thing here that we notice. And that is, notice how Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned two things here, life and light. here Allah subhanho wa Taala he has combined between two things, life and light, someone who is living and someone who has liked

as for life, without life, you have death. So the opposite of life is death. And as for light, without light, you are lost. So a person who does not have light, he is lost. He doesn't know where he's walking, he's wandering about in confusion.

And basically, they refer to an individual, a believer who has the light, who has the life of a man in his heart, and the light of guidance that guides him in his daily life. And so we're going to have a look at

And this is one of the best comparisons for their bodies or graves for their hearts. Abraham says, their bodies are graves for their hearts, as their hearts have died, and become buried in their bodies. And then he mentions where Allah subhanahu wa tada says, Well, now you still will.

and live their lives according to the Quran. According to how Allah subhanho wa Taala wants them to live.

Allah subhanahu wa tada rewards them with a happy life in this life, contrary to what many people think. Most people think that if I devote myself and I devote my entire life for Allah

and to become religiously adherent,

it means that I'm going to live a very, very sad and miserable life. However, the opposite is true

and only those who have tasted it

No, it's reality. And so, coming back to the point, Allah subhanho wa Tada. He rewards these people with a happy life. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala said, Men Amina slowly I mean, that can also mean whoever does righteous deeds, whether he be male or female, while being a believer, a law says, felon who hire Tompa, we will surely cause him to live a good life,

Not only that, but we will surely give them their reward a meaning in the Hereafter, according to the best of what they used to do. And so they get the best of this world, and the best of the next

and vice versa. And vice versa.

Those who turn their backs to Allah subhanho wa Taala.

They turn their backs to the revelation of Allah.

And they reject,

to act and live according to Allah has centers.

And instead, they have preferred to live

their lives in this temporary enjoyment that they are living in.

For them, Allah subhana wa tada has told us in the Quran, that they will have a miserable life, and they will have a terrible punishment in the next life. And so our law says, one out of one victory for in Allahumma, shaitaan, Wonka, and whoever turns away from my remembrance, indeed, he will have a depressive, a miserable life.

And so when a person's heart is dead, his other bodily organs fail as well.

Yes, not only the physical heart, but also the spiritual heart. When it becomes dead,

it fails to function, and also the rest of the body parts. They fail to, to function properly. And so they fail to obey Allah and His messenger. And they fail to fulfill the laws right to worship, and allows right to obedience. It's all such people, they eat from a loss provision.

And they do not thank such people, they bury their dead, and they don't feel anything inside their hearts. They know that death is real, but they don't do anything. They don't prepare themselves for it. Instead,

they chase after the dunia this temporary enjoyment.

Now, on one final note,

just like we mentioned about the light, and how it is a guidance for those who have life in their hearts.

Similarly, those who are living in darkness, those who are living in darkness, and they don't have that light. When that light comes to them, it bothers them. And so the one who is happy with Allah subhanho wa Taala

is the one who knows a lot about his attributes, and His signs and his legislations. As for the one who feels estranged, he feels weird at the mention of Allah, then he is the one whose heart is darkened by heedlessness of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And so it is just like the eye which is exposed to lengthy darkness. And then all of a sudden, some light comes in and he becomes disturbed the light the eye, it becomes disturbed by that little bit of light. And so I asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to grant our hearts life and light and I asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to make us from among those who hear the remembrance and act according to it. The Prophet (SAW) said, “There is a piece of flesh in the body, if healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart.”
