Heart Therapy: Episode 11 – Curing the Heart from Shaytan’s Whispering

Welcome to this latest episode of heart therapy.

In the previous episode, we were speaking about

the cure for

the diseases of the heart.

And especially for curing the heart from the knifes or the soul that takes control of it.

In this episode,

we want to look at how we can cure our hearts from shaitan

and his whisperings.

And so on the one hand, we have the evil inclining soul that we spoke about in the previous episode,

this evil inclining soul

it causes us

to perform evil.

On the other hand, we have shrinked on

and he's whispering

that attract that evil soul. And then the evil soul submits to it and commands the heart to submit to that evil.

And so Allah subhanho wa Taala

he commanded us

to cure

ourselves from shaitan and his whisperings

by simply turning to Him alone and seeking refuge in Him Subhana who What?

What imagines ohana communities on he knows the one festa is Billa in who who was semi early. And if there comes to you from shaitan

an evil suggestion. Then what did Allah say? He said, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, he is the hearing and the knowing, he hears you. When you seek refuge in Him, He knows your state, he knows your condition,

and that he and he knows and he knows that you are in need of him.

And so shaitan is the enemy of every son of Adam.

He was the enemy of Adam Allah, his Salah.

And his enmity continued on to the offspring of Adam.

And that is why shaitan and his danger is mentioned in the Quran and in the Sunnah more than Allah has warned us of our knifes.

And so Allah subhanho wa Taala warned us of the enmity of shaitan

more than he has warned us of this evil inclining soul and that is because of the greed of the and that is because of the grave danger of shaitan and his intense enmity of man.

And so that is why awasum hannant and so that is why Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded us to seek refuge in Him from shaitan throughout the Quran.

And yet, Allah subhanho wa Taala did not command us to seek refuge in Him from the evil inclining so

although Yes, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam did seek refuge in that evil soul

In the well known Hades, where he prayed to Allah subhanho wa Taala he made a dua, that Allah

I seek refuge in You from the evil of my knifes. But in the Quran, you don't find Allah subhanahu wa tada warning us from the soul or commanding us to seek refuge in Him from the evil soul.

But as for shaitan, in his whisperings, Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded us to seek refuge in Him whenever we are touched by the whisperings of tripod.

Moreover,

Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded us to seek refuge in Him from shaitan when reciting the Quran,

and this is

in particular,

this is something which is specific to reciting the Quran, although seeking refuge

in Allah from shaitan is general. But Allah specifically mentioned seeking refuge in Him from shavon. When we decide to recite the Quran, until Allah subhanho wa Taala said, for either Cora Cora Anna first Billahi min ash shaytani r rajim. When you recite the Quran, first seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan, the one who is expelled from his mercy. And then Allah says, In the who lays Allah who so Born on Island Medina yet

and then Allah says, In the who lays Allah who saw born Island lady in an annual while Arab Bohemia, toa Kowloon, he has no authority shaitan has no authority over those who believe in Him subhanho wa Taala and put their trust in their Lord. And then Allah says, in a Sultan who annalena Ilona who will larina whom he must recall, rather, the authority of shaitan is over those who take him as an ally.

Those who take shaitan as their ally, and those who through shaitan, they associate partners with a loss of Hannah who went to Allah.

And so the Quran is a cure for that which is in the chests, our hearts

and it causes whatever shape on throws into our hearts to disappear. And that is his whisperings of shewhart and Shahada doubts, and lustful desires.

And thus, Allah subhanho wa Taala commands us to ward away the substance of the disease in the heart, and empty the heart of that substance. And so the Quran is the source of all guidance, and good that is in the heart, which is why

whenever shaitan senses any good, growing in the heart, he strives to cut it out. he strives to burn it, which is why Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded us to seek refuge in Him when we decide to recite the Quran, so that shaitan does not ruin our reputation, and whatever good and benefit is brought from reciting the Quran.

Not only that, but we also know that the angels draw near to the one who recites the Quran, and they sit around him listening to his recitation. And so shaitan is the opposite of the angels. He is their enemy. Not like many people think that he was a so called fallen angel. Rather,

what is true is that shaitan used to live among the angels. He was a worshipper of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And due to his intense worship of Allah subhanho wa Taala allowed him to be among the angels who didn't who were obedient servants of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

And so he was from among the jinn and not one of their angels.

And so Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded the one who recites the Quran

To ask Allah to ward away shaitan from him, so that the angels can come close.

Now, notice here, how Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned here in these verses

that

there is no authority for shaitan over the believers, those who believe in Allah, and please there trust in Him. And so Allah says, In who lays Allah who sold on Island larina M and voila, Robbie him. Yet our Kowloon indeed there is no authority for shaitan over those who have believed, and put their trust in their Lord,

and so a loss of Hannah who would never cause he never caused shaitan to gain power over our hearts, and have authority over our hearts, but rather, it was our own selves, who allowed that.

And so we obeyed Him.

We obeyed shaitan and as a result of loss of Hannah, who Allah gave shaitan authority over us.

And so that is what leads the heart to evil and its destruction.

And so Allah subhanahu wa Tada. He mentioned here, that the believers, they have control of their hearts, and shaitan does not have control of their hearts. But rather, it is the disbelievers who shaitan. Allah subhanho wa Taala caused him to have power over them. And so Allah said in NEMA soltanto annalena at our loner who will lead you know whom He will surely cool. Rather, his authority, the authority of shaitan is only over those who take him as an ally, as a friend, and those who threw shade on the associate partners with a loss of Hannah who went

and so tell heed Eman sincerity, reliance in Allah, putting your trust in Allah. All of these things, prevent shaytaan from gaining authority over us. And that's why Allah mentioned these things in this verse, Eman and reliance putting our trust in Allah in who Lazar who soltanto Allah Allah Dena M and o wide r ob Mia tawa Kowloon, there is no authority. For those. There is no authority for shaitan over those who have believed and put their trust in their Lord.

Salam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh welcome back to this episode of heart therapy. Before the break, we were discussing how before the break, we were discussing how shavon has no authority over the believers. Rather it is the disbelievers and those who obey Him who Allah subhanho wa Taala has empowered shaitan over them.

Now, since shaytans main weapon

against the children of Adam

is whispering into our hearts making evil suggestions into our minds and hearts.

The way to counter

all of that is by using a greater weapon.

And that is the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala

and so that is why Allah subhanho wa Taala says regarding those who have Taqwa of him,

he says regarding them

And so that is why Allah subhana wa tada says, regarding those who have Taqwa

that when they are touched with an evil suggestion, from shaitan, what do they do? Immediately, the turn to Allah subhanho wa Taala, remembering him. And so, they have insight.

And similarly, Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded us, that when we are touched with these whisperings from shaitan, what should we do, we should turn to Him, and seek refuge in Him. And so, when you are out there in the world, and you're faced with a certain difficulty,

and you are afraid

of something, whatever it be,

usually that thing that you are afraid of,

is mighty and powerful.

And similarly, here we have shaitan

most people fail

in their fight against shaitan.

And so they consider him to be very powerful and mighty.

However, when you realize that there is a might and power, far superior to the mate and power of your enemy of shaitan,

this should give you hope. And so that power and that might is none other than the power of might of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

And so, when you say Billahi min ash shaytani r rajim. I seek refuge in Allah from shaitan. What it means is that you are going to Allah subhanahu wa tada and coming under his protection

and anyone without a doubt, who is under the protection of a loss of Hannah who with data, there is no way absolutely no way for any harm to touch.

And so this brings us to the point of remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala seeking refuge in Allah is one example of remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala. However, remembering Allah is something very broad, which is known as a vicar.

And so the greatest weapon that you can use to counter the attacks of shaitan. And him trying to take control of your heart is by remembering a lot of Vicar, which is of two kinds, you have the liquor of the heart, and you have the liquor of the tongue.

Now, if a person was to forsake

the liquor of Allah subhanho wa Taala

his heart would become affected,

even if he does not sin. And so don't think that

remembering a lot and performing dicker is only for those who commit sins, no, even if you don't, even if you don't consider yourself to commit many sins.

But if you abandon and forsake the dhikr of Allah subhanahu wa Tada, you will be affected by shaytaan. And so how is the case of a heart that is frequently sinning

and forsaking the vicar of Allah subhanahu wa tada which is most people out there, not only do they sin a lot, but on top of that, they don't remember a law much.

And so, that is why Allah subhanho wa Taala praised various kinds of unbelievers, who do various good deeds. When Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned their characteristics was saw a Nina was saw enact those who fast from among the males and the females

and those who protect their private parts and so on and so forth in that one long verse, in which Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions various characteristics of the believers. One of the things Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions is

With that Lina wahaca tea wrong with Jackie rot.

Those who remember along much with a vicar what you notice here is Allah subhanahu wa tada says much, those who remember a lot much

and he did not mention that with regards to the other acts in the same verse,

also the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he described his own heart, which we all know, was the purest heart, on the face of this earth. He described before making Vicar when he said, that sometimes I perceive a veil over my heart. And yet, he was who he was. So how about the rest of us, who are constantly singing, and we have hearts that are diseased, without adults. One of the greatest cures to our diseased hearts, is by remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala through a dicker.

Now, when we remember Allah subhanho, wa Taala

through a vicar shaitan he flees, he runs away, he tries to hide.

And that is because Vicar is like a sword that pierces through shaitan and so it hurts him, and it kills him. That is why the shaitan of the believer, each and every single one of us, we have a shaitan a Karim, a companion from among the gym.

And so the shaitan of the believer, he is weak, and he is feeble.

That is because the believer tortures, his shaitan through the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And through the obedience of

on the other hand, you have the shaytaan of the disbeliever, or even the shaitaan of the disobedient believers.

This shaitan he is with

the companion, he is with the person enjoying himself at peace, strong, powerful, which is why he has authority over him, because the person is obeying Him, and He is not torturing him, the way the believer is torturing his tripod.

So whoever it does not punish his trade on in this world, through the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala through a vicar and through the obedience of Allah subhana wa tada

then he shouldn't blame anyone but himself, when shaitan ends up being a reason for him to be punished in the next life with the hellfire. And so it's either one of two things, either you punish your shavon in this life

and then be saved from the punishment of the next life. Or you allow your shaitan to be free in this life. And then he ends up punishing you in the hereafter through the hellfire.

Now comparing the difference between

a heart that remembers Allah subhanho wa Taala much and another heart that is heedless of the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

One of the past scholars, he said,

is it not that when the sick, the sick individual is deprived of food and drink and medicine? Is it not that he dies?

a sick person when you take away his food and his drink, and the medicine that he needs in order to be healed, and cured.

If you were to take all of that away from him, what would happen? Eventually he would die.

He said the heart is no different.

So when it is deprived of the remembrance of Allah Subhana, WA Tada. It dies. When it is deprived of the vicar and the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala it dies. And so all of our hearts are diseased or sick, or Ill

just like the sick person, if you were to take away his food, his drink his medicine, he would die, similarly, is our heart. If you were to deprive it, of the vicar of Allah subhanho wa Taala, eventually, it would also die. And so this brings us back to the three kinds of hearts where we have a sound and healthy heart. And we have a dead heart. And we have a diseased heart, that disease heart, if it is deprived of remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala eventually, it will become that dead heart. And so this shows us the importance of remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala. And this shows us the importance of using that Vicar as a weapon against shaytaan. And so what we learned in this

episode today is that if we want to cure our hearts, from the control of shaytaan, the way to do it is by turning to Allah subhanho wa Taala by seeking refuge in Him, and by reciting the Quran, and finally, by a vicar remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala both with our hearts and our tongues. I asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to help us to cure our disease hearts. And with that we come to the end of this episode. Until our next episode of this program of ours heart therapy.
