Alhamdulillah.

00:00:20 --> 00:00:21

I would like to, before beginning,

00:00:23 --> 00:00:24

make a couple of comments.

00:00:27 --> 00:00:29

One is that, there was a time, I

00:00:29 --> 00:00:30

think, you know, a month or even 2

00:00:30 --> 00:00:32

weeks wouldn't go by except for I would

00:00:32 --> 00:00:34

come to Detroit. It's been a very long

00:00:34 --> 00:00:36

time, so I'm genuinely

00:00:37 --> 00:00:39

humbled and, honored to see,

00:00:40 --> 00:00:42

so many faces again and then also to

00:00:42 --> 00:00:44

see so many new faces. I know it's

00:00:44 --> 00:00:47

been an interesting time. Everybody has interesting stories

00:00:47 --> 00:00:49

of what's happened during this time. Alhamdulillah, Allah

00:00:49 --> 00:00:51

subhanahu wa ta'ala brought us together again

00:00:52 --> 00:00:53

in in in happiness.

00:00:53 --> 00:00:56

And we ask Allah to do so,

00:00:56 --> 00:00:58

for us once more,

00:00:59 --> 00:01:00

on the day of judgment.

00:01:02 --> 00:01:03

For those of you who have attended my

00:01:03 --> 00:01:04

courses from before,

00:01:05 --> 00:01:07

although I do have a profane propensity to

00:01:08 --> 00:01:09

give

00:01:09 --> 00:01:11

very fiery and hot air sermon,

00:01:12 --> 00:01:12

and,

00:01:13 --> 00:01:15

Bayan type presentations.

00:01:16 --> 00:01:18

Generally, when we have a

00:01:18 --> 00:01:20

program in this hall, that's not what this

00:01:20 --> 00:01:20

is.

00:01:21 --> 00:01:23

It's generally packed with content.

00:01:24 --> 00:01:24

And,

00:01:25 --> 00:01:28

people are here to study, take notes, and

00:01:28 --> 00:01:29

to learn.

00:01:29 --> 00:01:29

And,

00:01:31 --> 00:01:32

it's something that you can think about

00:01:33 --> 00:01:36

and, reflect over later, ask questions about later.

00:01:37 --> 00:01:38

And I genuinely recognize

00:01:39 --> 00:01:41

that much of the content that we're going

00:01:41 --> 00:01:41

to go over

00:01:42 --> 00:01:43

in this presentation,

00:01:43 --> 00:01:46

which is not strictly speaking the signs of

00:01:46 --> 00:01:47

the day of judgment,

00:01:48 --> 00:01:49

but the signs of the end of time.

00:01:50 --> 00:01:52

So these are those things that happen before

00:01:52 --> 00:01:52

the day of judgment.

00:01:53 --> 00:01:55

If we had 6 more hours for the

00:01:55 --> 00:01:56

program, I would have

00:01:57 --> 00:01:59

added that as well. I have that presentation

00:01:59 --> 00:02:00

ready,

00:02:00 --> 00:02:02

but there's a certain amount of,

00:02:03 --> 00:02:04

cramming that you can usually

00:02:05 --> 00:02:06

put into,

00:02:07 --> 00:02:09

into a weekend. And so inshallah, we can

00:02:09 --> 00:02:11

save that for another time.

00:02:11 --> 00:02:13

And if you can learn it from someone

00:02:13 --> 00:02:15

else or hear it from someone else, that's

00:02:15 --> 00:02:15

wonderful.

00:02:16 --> 00:02:16

My

00:02:18 --> 00:02:21

goal, my desire is that everybody listen and

00:02:21 --> 00:02:23

learn. If it's the first time

00:02:23 --> 00:02:26

that you're hearing this then listen carefully.

00:02:26 --> 00:02:28

If you've heard it before, take notes and

00:02:28 --> 00:02:30

share these things with other people as well.

00:02:30 --> 00:02:32

If you wish, I don't have a problem

00:02:32 --> 00:02:34

sharing my slides or my notes with you.

00:02:35 --> 00:02:37

Alhamdulillah. Masha'Allah by Allah Subhil.

00:02:38 --> 00:02:40

The things that are gathered together are from

00:02:40 --> 00:02:42

a number of different books, but none of

00:02:42 --> 00:02:45

it is any original material on my behalf.

00:02:45 --> 00:02:48

The legwork was in reading different books and

00:02:48 --> 00:02:49

gathering things together,

00:02:49 --> 00:02:50

but

00:02:50 --> 00:02:53

I will strive to give the reference for

00:02:53 --> 00:02:55

everything that I that I quote and that

00:02:55 --> 00:02:58

I tell. And in that sense it's arranged

00:02:58 --> 00:02:59

not necessarily as a

00:03:01 --> 00:03:02

does this mic work?

00:03:04 --> 00:03:05

I'm trying. I don't know if you can

00:03:05 --> 00:03:06

turn it on maybe.

00:03:08 --> 00:03:10

Anyhow, I'll let you guys figure out how

00:03:10 --> 00:03:10

to place.

00:03:12 --> 00:03:12

So

00:03:13 --> 00:03:14

it's arranged

00:03:15 --> 00:03:17

in some sense, not necessarily in a story

00:03:18 --> 00:03:19

format, in a story

00:03:19 --> 00:03:20

narrative format,

00:03:21 --> 00:03:21

but

00:03:21 --> 00:03:24

by which books you'll find which things in.

00:03:24 --> 00:03:27

And we'll connect the dots together because, at

00:03:27 --> 00:03:29

some point or another, we're a tradition not

00:03:29 --> 00:03:29

of

00:03:30 --> 00:03:31

storytellers,

00:03:31 --> 00:03:32

but we're a tradition of

00:03:33 --> 00:03:36

knowledge and in in in so many ways

00:03:36 --> 00:03:36

precise

00:03:37 --> 00:03:38

and exacting scholarship.

00:03:39 --> 00:03:40

And this topic is a topic in which

00:03:40 --> 00:03:42

you'll find all sorts of

00:03:43 --> 00:03:46

solid material and all sorts of half baked

00:03:46 --> 00:03:47

material as well.

00:03:47 --> 00:03:49

And you'll find somebody who will tell you

00:03:49 --> 00:03:51

about a hadith in which, you know, Hitler

00:03:51 --> 00:03:52

is mentioned, and this is mentioned, and that's

00:03:52 --> 00:03:55

mentioned. Not all of those things are, you

00:03:55 --> 00:03:55

know

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00

mind's lowering it a little bit. Not all

00:04:00 --> 00:04:02

of those things are, you know, from sources

00:04:02 --> 00:04:03

that are

00:04:04 --> 00:04:05

that's okay.

00:04:07 --> 00:04:09

Not all of those things are from, sources

00:04:09 --> 00:04:10

that are going to be indisputable.

00:04:11 --> 00:04:13

The point is not necessarily to wow you

00:04:13 --> 00:04:14

or to entertain you, but to give you

00:04:14 --> 00:04:15

the information

00:04:15 --> 00:04:18

that's solid, that's beyond dispute. Why? Because those

00:04:18 --> 00:04:20

are the things that unite us as an

00:04:20 --> 00:04:20

ummah.

00:04:21 --> 00:04:23

Differences of opinion, there are many of them.

00:04:23 --> 00:04:24

There's a mercy in it, etcetera.

00:04:25 --> 00:04:27

But the point of this presentation is

00:04:28 --> 00:04:30

to teach aqidah, teach those things that we

00:04:30 --> 00:04:30

all agree upon.

00:04:31 --> 00:04:33

And then the things that we disagree upon,

00:04:33 --> 00:04:36

we have, inshaAllah, plenty of time and those

00:04:36 --> 00:04:37

are left best to the ulema,

00:04:38 --> 00:04:39

best to the scholars.

00:04:40 --> 00:04:42

So before starting, what I wanted to talk

00:04:42 --> 00:04:42

about tonight,

00:04:43 --> 00:04:45

which is the

00:04:46 --> 00:04:48

knowledge transmitted to us from the Rasul, sallallahu

00:04:48 --> 00:04:50

alaihi wa sallam, and his companions about the

00:04:50 --> 00:04:51

Imam Mahdi.

00:04:52 --> 00:04:54

I wanted to finish the

00:04:55 --> 00:04:57

topic of the Khutbah which is what the

00:04:57 --> 00:04:59

way the Rasul salallahu alaihi wa sallam described

00:04:59 --> 00:05:00

the world would be

00:05:01 --> 00:05:03

before the Mahdi comes. So there are 3

00:05:03 --> 00:05:05

or 4 hadith that were left. I was

00:05:05 --> 00:05:06

somewhat surprised

00:05:06 --> 00:05:07

that,

00:05:07 --> 00:05:10

I managed to go 6 minutes over the

00:05:11 --> 00:05:12

the the time I was told of, like,

00:05:12 --> 00:05:13

12:12:55

00:05:13 --> 00:05:16

or whatever, and still, like, the Khutba was,

00:05:16 --> 00:05:18

like, 11 minutes long, or the bayan was

00:05:18 --> 00:05:20

11 minutes long. I don't know how that

00:05:20 --> 00:05:22

worked out, but inshallah, we'll go through these

00:05:22 --> 00:05:23

quickly inshallah, and it will,

00:05:24 --> 00:05:26

kind of set the stage for the rest

00:05:26 --> 00:05:28

of the, tonight's program. And then inshallah, come

00:05:28 --> 00:05:31

tomorrow with 4 hours of material and,

00:05:32 --> 00:05:33

inshallah, it will be a benefit for all

00:05:33 --> 00:05:34

of us.

00:05:55 --> 00:05:58

That the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa

00:05:58 --> 00:06:02

sallam said that time will pass by quickly.

00:06:03 --> 00:06:05

Long periods of time that used to seem

00:06:05 --> 00:06:06

long to people, they'll pass by quickly.

00:06:08 --> 00:06:10

Those of you who are students of knowledge,

00:06:10 --> 00:06:11

I don't know. I don't think I've met

00:06:11 --> 00:06:13

the young man who made the introduction, read

00:06:13 --> 00:06:16

the, like, whatever bio from 15 years ago.

00:06:16 --> 00:06:17

But,

00:06:18 --> 00:06:19

by the way, he pronounced words in Arabic,

00:06:19 --> 00:06:22

it seems that he's studied something or another,

00:06:23 --> 00:06:24

and also the

00:06:24 --> 00:06:26

the, young colleague who recited beautifully,

00:06:27 --> 00:06:28

for us tonight.

00:06:28 --> 00:06:30

Raise your hand to either of you guys

00:06:30 --> 00:06:32

in the crowd. Right? When you're when you're

00:06:32 --> 00:06:34

in Darsh, does time fly or does it

00:06:34 --> 00:06:35

does the hour take forever?

00:06:36 --> 00:06:38

The hour takes forever. Right?

00:06:39 --> 00:06:40

Part of that is because there may be

00:06:40 --> 00:06:42

some tedium or some difficulty

00:06:42 --> 00:06:43

what you're doing. Part of that is because

00:06:43 --> 00:06:43

there's barakah in the time. For those of

00:06:43 --> 00:06:43

you who've been, like, in the village before

00:06:43 --> 00:06:43

or have been, you know, you

00:06:49 --> 00:06:51

you know, waiting from one salat to another

00:06:51 --> 00:06:53

in the masjid or whatever, you know that

00:06:53 --> 00:06:55

there's barakah in the time.

00:06:55 --> 00:06:58

And as time goes on as time goes

00:06:58 --> 00:06:59

on, that Baraka is going to be gone.

00:06:59 --> 00:07:01

Years of people's lives will pass by. They're

00:07:01 --> 00:07:03

not going to know what they did during

00:07:03 --> 00:07:06

those years. They're going to be watching 1

00:07:06 --> 00:07:08

kitty cat video after another on YouTube and

00:07:08 --> 00:07:10

the years will pass people will not know.

00:07:11 --> 00:07:13

And knowledge will be taken away. And the

00:07:13 --> 00:07:16

rasul salallahu alaihi wasalam in another another hadith,

00:07:16 --> 00:07:17

he said that the way it's going to

00:07:17 --> 00:07:19

be taken away, it's not gonna just disappear,

00:07:19 --> 00:07:21

the books disappear one day. It's not gonna

00:07:21 --> 00:07:22

be like a rapture.

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24

Rather, what's going to happen is the people,

00:07:24 --> 00:07:26

the old people of knowledge will pass away,

00:07:26 --> 00:07:28

and the people who are left behind, nobody

00:07:28 --> 00:07:29

bothered to learn anything.

00:07:30 --> 00:07:32

And how does that happen? That happens when

00:07:32 --> 00:07:34

people don't make Ihti'mam. They don't they don't,

00:07:35 --> 00:07:35

you know,

00:07:36 --> 00:07:38

make it an important goal of theirs in

00:07:38 --> 00:07:40

life to preserve knowledge as a society. Not

00:07:40 --> 00:07:42

everybody can be a scholar, but everybody can

00:07:42 --> 00:07:43

learn something,

00:07:44 --> 00:07:47

and everybody can contribute toward those people supporting

00:07:48 --> 00:07:51

and, and and honoring those people who

00:07:52 --> 00:07:54

really are just the walking miracles of the

00:07:54 --> 00:07:57

prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, that the ayat

00:07:57 --> 00:08:00

of Allah ta'ala are shown in the sudur

00:08:00 --> 00:08:01

of the people who,

00:08:01 --> 00:08:02

who believe.

00:08:03 --> 00:08:05

And that's going to happen. What's gonna happen,

00:08:05 --> 00:08:06

those people are gonna go away. There's nobody

00:08:06 --> 00:08:08

left that that that bothered to learn from

00:08:08 --> 00:08:10

them. But Tawhid Harun Fittam

00:08:10 --> 00:08:12

and tribulations will,

00:08:12 --> 00:08:15

become preponderant over people and people will

00:08:16 --> 00:08:17

give in

00:08:18 --> 00:08:18

to shuh.

00:08:19 --> 00:08:21

They'll become miserly, they'll become cheap.

00:08:21 --> 00:08:24

Nobody wants to share with one another. You

00:08:24 --> 00:08:26

know, husband and wife will split expenses. Nobody

00:08:26 --> 00:08:28

wants to spend on their children. Nobody wants

00:08:28 --> 00:08:29

to spend on their parents.

00:08:30 --> 00:08:31

Nobody wants to spend on the masjid. Nobody

00:08:31 --> 00:08:33

everybody wants to say pinch every penny and

00:08:33 --> 00:08:35

say, well, if I invested in this much,

00:08:35 --> 00:08:36

then I can entire retire

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39

this much earlier. Look, all of that stuff

00:08:39 --> 00:08:40

is important.

00:08:42 --> 00:08:45

But shuk is what? My my own Ustad,

00:08:46 --> 00:08:49

Moana Hassan that I read a number of

00:08:49 --> 00:08:51

books from books of hadith from I read

00:08:51 --> 00:08:52

the back to back to,

00:08:53 --> 00:08:55

volumes of the Hidayah from.

00:08:55 --> 00:08:57

I read the Mishkat Al Masabi from I

00:08:57 --> 00:08:59

read Tirmidi and Abu Dawood from

00:09:00 --> 00:09:00

he said,

00:09:01 --> 00:09:02

our grand

00:09:03 --> 00:09:03

Ahmed Ali Lahori

00:09:04 --> 00:09:07

used to say that being in love with

00:09:07 --> 00:09:09

the dunya doesn't it doesn't mean you have

00:09:09 --> 00:09:11

stuff. It's what that you're willing to do

00:09:11 --> 00:09:13

things that are haram in order to get

00:09:13 --> 00:09:13

things.

00:09:13 --> 00:09:15

Otherwise, if you pay your zakat and if

00:09:15 --> 00:09:17

you pay your, you know, your dues to

00:09:17 --> 00:09:19

people and you take care of the people

00:09:19 --> 00:09:20

that you're supposed to be taking care

00:09:21 --> 00:09:22

of, if you're a billionaire, you're not considered

00:09:22 --> 00:09:24

to be a worldly person. In fact, even

00:09:24 --> 00:09:26

if you own the entire world, you're not

00:09:26 --> 00:09:27

considered to be a worldly person

00:09:28 --> 00:09:30

Until the line crosses from something that makes

00:09:30 --> 00:09:32

sense to love, which is by its nature

00:09:32 --> 00:09:33

irrational,

00:09:33 --> 00:09:35

that you no longer pay zakat on your

00:09:35 --> 00:09:36

money, which people don't.

00:09:37 --> 00:09:40

People, in fact, have abused zakat so badly.

00:09:41 --> 00:09:42

And they say something is zakat and it's

00:09:42 --> 00:09:44

not zakat. Nobody bothered to learn the account

00:09:44 --> 00:09:45

of zakat.

00:09:46 --> 00:09:48

They abused this zakat al fitr. They abused

00:09:48 --> 00:09:51

the salakat. They abused all of these things.

00:09:51 --> 00:09:53

They don't pay them on time. This is

00:09:53 --> 00:09:55

also a type of shirk. In fact, it's

00:09:55 --> 00:09:56

one of the worst types of miserliness.

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00

And he said sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, and

00:10:00 --> 00:10:01

there will be a lot of haraj. They

00:10:01 --> 00:10:03

said, you Rasool Allah, what is Haraj? He

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05

said it's it's it's it's the shedding of

00:10:05 --> 00:10:06

blood. It's killing murder.

00:10:07 --> 00:10:08

And and and they said,

00:10:23 --> 00:10:26

Muslim. So the first hadith we mentioned indeed,

00:10:26 --> 00:10:26

khutba.

00:10:28 --> 00:10:30

And the second one we just mentioned, the

00:10:30 --> 00:10:32

the third one is that the messenger of

00:10:32 --> 00:10:34

Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said

00:10:35 --> 00:10:37

that the last hour, the day this here

00:10:37 --> 00:10:38

it does mean the day of judgment. That

00:10:38 --> 00:10:41

the day of judgment will be began as

00:10:41 --> 00:10:42

long as there's somebody in the earth that

00:10:42 --> 00:10:43

says Allah, Allah.

00:10:45 --> 00:10:46

The reason it's

00:10:48 --> 00:10:50

worthy of mentioning at this time when talking

00:10:50 --> 00:10:51

about the Mahdi is what?

00:10:52 --> 00:10:53

This is an Usuli principle

00:10:54 --> 00:10:57

in Islam, which is that Allah ta'ala said,

00:11:00 --> 00:11:01

I did not create the mankind

00:11:02 --> 00:11:04

and the jinn except for in order to

00:11:04 --> 00:11:05

worship me.

00:11:06 --> 00:11:08

And worship can be a number of things.

00:11:08 --> 00:11:10

We say, well, you know, if you,

00:11:11 --> 00:11:12

you know, if you

00:11:12 --> 00:11:14

intend to drive to the Masjid, you know,

00:11:14 --> 00:11:16

with it, then even the Tesla you buy

00:11:16 --> 00:11:18

is like an act of worship. Right? Which

00:11:18 --> 00:11:19

is true

00:11:19 --> 00:11:21

if that's really your intention, if that's really

00:11:21 --> 00:11:22

why you're buying it. It is true a

00:11:22 --> 00:11:25

lot of the Awl count it as a

00:11:25 --> 00:11:26

as a nafakafisabililah

00:11:26 --> 00:11:28

from you. But there are 2 types of

00:11:28 --> 00:11:31

there are 2 types of worship. There's one

00:11:31 --> 00:11:31

which

00:11:33 --> 00:11:33

is and one is

00:11:35 --> 00:11:36

the thing that's

00:11:36 --> 00:11:37

haqiqatan.

00:11:37 --> 00:11:39

It literally is an act of worship. And

00:11:39 --> 00:11:41

the second is those acts that lead to

00:11:41 --> 00:11:42

an act of worship.

00:11:43 --> 00:11:45

Buying the Tesla is the latter

00:11:46 --> 00:11:48

the actual salaf itself is the the former.

00:11:49 --> 00:11:51

And by rational necessity,

00:11:52 --> 00:11:54

anything that talks about the ibadah of Allah

00:11:54 --> 00:11:54

ta'ala

00:11:55 --> 00:11:58

is going to talk about the actual acts

00:11:58 --> 00:12:00

of worship first and primarily and secondarily or

00:12:00 --> 00:12:03

in a peripheral sense about the other things.

00:12:03 --> 00:12:05

And so here we see a couple of

00:12:05 --> 00:12:05

interesting things.

00:12:06 --> 00:12:08

One is that Allah ta'ala said he didn't

00:12:08 --> 00:12:09

create the mankind in the jinnic supper to

00:12:09 --> 00:12:12

worship him for ibadah, for salat, for the

00:12:12 --> 00:12:13

reading of Quran,

00:12:13 --> 00:12:14

for

00:12:14 --> 00:12:17

what's mentioned in this hadith as what?

00:12:17 --> 00:12:18

As Allah Allah.

00:12:20 --> 00:12:21

There are people I've seen this, like in

00:12:21 --> 00:12:23

America, it's kind of weird. There are people

00:12:23 --> 00:12:26

who made like a profession for themselves, not

00:12:26 --> 00:12:27

really a profession, I would say a part

00:12:27 --> 00:12:28

time hobby.

00:12:28 --> 00:12:30

Going around giving khutba saying that making dhikr

00:12:30 --> 00:12:32

is a bida or Here's

00:12:33 --> 00:12:35

a hadith of Muslim in which literally the

00:12:35 --> 00:12:38

Rasulullah alaihi wa sallam is mentioning just taking

00:12:38 --> 00:12:39

the name of Allah ta'ala.

00:12:40 --> 00:12:40

Right.

00:12:44 --> 00:12:46

Allah ta'ala says in his book, he says,

00:12:46 --> 00:12:47

take the name of your lord.

00:12:48 --> 00:12:50

Mention the name of your Lord, honor the

00:12:50 --> 00:12:51

name of your Lord, and cut off from

00:12:51 --> 00:12:53

everything else cutting off. Which sounds like what?

00:12:53 --> 00:12:55

It sounds like you're sitting in a dark

00:12:55 --> 00:12:57

room, shutting the lights off

00:12:57 --> 00:12:59

and saying Allah Allah.

00:12:59 --> 00:13:01

It's not a bidah. It's actually literally in

00:13:01 --> 00:13:02

the Quran. It's literally in the hadith of

00:13:02 --> 00:13:04

the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

00:13:04 --> 00:13:06

That when there's nobody left who can even

00:13:06 --> 00:13:08

say Allah Allah anymore.

00:13:09 --> 00:13:12

Then the Maqsa, the point of the whole

00:13:12 --> 00:13:15

universe existing will have been finished and the

00:13:15 --> 00:13:16

entire thing is going to collapse in on

00:13:16 --> 00:13:17

itself.

00:13:17 --> 00:13:19

The reason I said it to Ulsuly principle

00:13:19 --> 00:13:22

is what? Look, Today is neither neither the

00:13:22 --> 00:13:25

perfection of Ibadah, which is the Rasul salallahu

00:13:25 --> 00:13:27

alaihi wa sallam, nor is it the the

00:13:27 --> 00:13:28

absence of it which is the day of

00:13:28 --> 00:13:29

judgment.

00:13:29 --> 00:13:31

It's somewhere in the middle.

00:13:31 --> 00:13:33

However much you want today to mean to

00:13:33 --> 00:13:33

you,

00:13:34 --> 00:13:36

the barometer by which you can measure it

00:13:36 --> 00:13:39

is what? How much worship did you do?

00:13:39 --> 00:13:40

How much salat did you pray? Did you

00:13:40 --> 00:13:43

fast? Did you sit and sit down and,

00:13:43 --> 00:13:45

you know, close your eyes and focus and

00:13:45 --> 00:13:47

say, Allahu Allah, did you make dua? Did

00:13:47 --> 00:13:48

you do all of these acts of worship

00:13:48 --> 00:13:51

that the messenger of Allah salallahu alaihi wa

00:13:51 --> 00:13:52

sallam told us

00:13:53 --> 00:13:55

are the ways to attain the the Lord's

00:13:55 --> 00:13:57

pleasure. The other things are okay. They're good,

00:13:57 --> 00:13:59

you know, and sometimes they're necessary as well.

00:13:59 --> 00:14:01

But these are the things that everything else

00:14:01 --> 00:14:03

is there to serve. At the end, this

00:14:03 --> 00:14:05

is the this is the the the purpose

00:14:05 --> 00:14:06

of why people were created.

00:14:07 --> 00:14:08

And so what will happen is that this

00:14:08 --> 00:14:09

thing will

00:14:09 --> 00:14:12

start to shrink shrink, get truncated. It will

00:14:12 --> 00:14:12

start to

00:14:14 --> 00:14:15

it will start

00:14:16 --> 00:14:18

to wither away, and it will start to

00:14:18 --> 00:14:21

melt melt away to a certain point. And

00:14:21 --> 00:14:22

when it goes below a certain kind of

00:14:22 --> 00:14:25

critical level, it's going to unleash all of

00:14:25 --> 00:14:26

these things that that that are going to

00:14:26 --> 00:14:27

happen as the

00:14:28 --> 00:14:30

precursors to the day of judgment, the signs

00:14:30 --> 00:14:31

of the end end of time.

00:14:32 --> 00:14:34

And in fact, the Imam Mahdi's coming, which

00:14:34 --> 00:14:36

we'll talk about very shortly,

00:14:37 --> 00:14:39

is help from Allah. It's madad from Allah

00:14:40 --> 00:14:41

in order to drive that away, push it

00:14:41 --> 00:14:42

away a little bit further.

00:14:43 --> 00:14:45

Just like the Rasul salallahu alaihi wa sallam's

00:14:45 --> 00:14:46

his

00:14:47 --> 00:14:49

being sent to this world was what? It

00:14:49 --> 00:14:51

was Allah ta'ala's mercy, like hitting a snooze

00:14:51 --> 00:14:52

button on the alarm

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55

of day of of the day of judgment.

00:14:56 --> 00:14:58

So we also have a choice. We don't

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59

have a choice when the Mahdi comes and

00:14:59 --> 00:15:00

when he doesn't. We don't have a choice

00:15:00 --> 00:15:01

when the Dajjal comes and when he doesn't.

00:15:01 --> 00:15:03

But we do have a choice of how

00:15:03 --> 00:15:05

much worship we do. And it's true. Go

00:15:05 --> 00:15:07

to the Haramain Sharifayn until

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11

relatively recently. You would see people worshiping by

00:15:11 --> 00:15:12

day night.

00:15:12 --> 00:15:15

You'd see the masjid doesn't empty out. People

00:15:15 --> 00:15:17

come and We ourselves who are bored and

00:15:17 --> 00:15:19

find worship tedious when we go to those

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21

places, we ourselves are excited to spend a

00:15:21 --> 00:15:23

great amount of time in the worship of

00:15:23 --> 00:15:23

Allah ta'ala.

00:15:24 --> 00:15:26

And you see that even in places in

00:15:26 --> 00:15:27

the Muslim world. There are places in the

00:15:27 --> 00:15:29

Muslim world like that,

00:15:29 --> 00:15:33

where you can pray, literally pray rakka after

00:15:33 --> 00:15:34

rakka and you'll still leave and half the

00:15:34 --> 00:15:36

masjid is still full of people who are

00:15:36 --> 00:15:36

praying.

00:15:37 --> 00:15:39

This is something it's a good thing. This

00:15:39 --> 00:15:41

is the reason Allah gave us money. It's

00:15:41 --> 00:15:42

the reason why we have a masjid. The

00:15:42 --> 00:15:45

basketball court is wonderful, but, you know, the

00:15:45 --> 00:15:46

reason we have the masjid and the basketball

00:15:46 --> 00:15:48

court is what? So that the

00:15:49 --> 00:15:51

establishment of the dhikr of Allah ta'ala can

00:15:51 --> 00:15:52

be made.

00:16:29 --> 00:16:31

That the Abu Huraira the allah one who

00:16:31 --> 00:16:33

said that the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi

00:16:33 --> 00:16:34

wa sallam said.

00:16:35 --> 00:16:37

And this is something, you know, when we

00:16:37 --> 00:16:39

talk about ilm being raised up people like,

00:16:39 --> 00:16:41

oh, yeah. How sad. You know, like but

00:16:41 --> 00:16:42

then if you have

00:16:42 --> 00:16:44

a a dars in which ilm is being

00:16:44 --> 00:16:44

taught,

00:16:45 --> 00:16:46

mashallah,

00:16:46 --> 00:16:49

you know, people, mashallah, come. I'm I'm very

00:16:49 --> 00:16:51

happy that this many people came, but to

00:16:51 --> 00:16:53

be very frank with you, if I were

00:16:53 --> 00:16:56

to put up a a a master calligraphed

00:16:57 --> 00:16:59

copy of the hilya sharif of the prophet

00:16:59 --> 00:17:01

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam illuminated with gold, and

00:17:01 --> 00:17:03

I told you this is from the Ottoman

00:17:03 --> 00:17:05

era and, you know, Sotheby's, like,

00:17:06 --> 00:17:08

appraised the value of it at a $100,000

00:17:08 --> 00:17:09

and I'll sell it to you for a1000.

00:17:11 --> 00:17:13

You know, the people someone would buy it.

00:17:13 --> 00:17:14

I know somebody would buy

00:17:15 --> 00:17:17

it. Alhamdulillah, somebody would buy it. It's worth

00:17:17 --> 00:17:18

buying.

00:17:18 --> 00:17:20

I'm not even saying it's bad. It's worth

00:17:20 --> 00:17:21

by my own shushaykh,

00:17:21 --> 00:17:23

He was a master khatta. He was a

00:17:23 --> 00:17:26

master calligrapher. I appreciate these things.

00:17:27 --> 00:17:28

But if I were to say

00:17:29 --> 00:17:31

that the hadith that's written on the hilya

00:17:31 --> 00:17:31

sharifa,

00:17:33 --> 00:17:35

In order to learn it, it'll cost you

00:17:35 --> 00:17:37

a $1,000 even though the hadith is worth

00:17:37 --> 00:17:39

much more than the piece of art.

00:17:42 --> 00:17:44

Because it resides in the world of meaning,

00:17:44 --> 00:17:45

not in the world of, aesthetics.

00:17:46 --> 00:17:48

Very few people, if anyone, would be willing

00:17:48 --> 00:17:49

to pay for it.

00:17:50 --> 00:17:51

And if I told you it was free,

00:17:51 --> 00:17:53

still very few people would be able would

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55

be willing to sit through sit through it.

00:17:55 --> 00:17:57

Sit through being able to read it and

00:17:57 --> 00:17:59

it's a difficult vocabulary and things like that.

00:17:59 --> 00:18:01

This is this is how what we live

00:18:01 --> 00:18:03

in. But what everybody is interested in is

00:18:03 --> 00:18:04

what? It's politics.

00:18:04 --> 00:18:06

So here here you go. Right? Here you

00:18:06 --> 00:18:08

go. Abu Hurair radiAllahu Muhammad said that the

00:18:08 --> 00:18:10

messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said,

00:18:11 --> 00:18:12

there will come out such men,

00:18:13 --> 00:18:14

near the end of times

00:18:15 --> 00:18:16

that,

00:18:17 --> 00:18:18

they will,

00:18:18 --> 00:18:21

they will basically trade or sell

00:18:21 --> 00:18:22

the,

00:18:22 --> 00:18:24

dean for dunya.

00:18:25 --> 00:18:26

Those things that should be sacred, they will

00:18:27 --> 00:18:28

they'll give them up in order to get

00:18:28 --> 00:18:30

some part of the material world.

00:18:31 --> 00:18:33

And they will wear in front of people

00:18:35 --> 00:18:36

hides like

00:18:36 --> 00:18:38

the hide of a sheep

00:18:38 --> 00:18:41

in its softness. Meaning, they'll look really they'll

00:18:41 --> 00:18:42

look really

00:18:42 --> 00:18:43

soft and pleasant.

00:18:45 --> 00:18:47

But and their tongues will be sweeter than

00:18:47 --> 00:18:49

honey, but their hearts will be the hearts

00:18:49 --> 00:18:50

of wolves.

00:18:52 --> 00:18:54

Meaning what? And the thing is, to be

00:18:54 --> 00:18:56

honest with you, this can, you know, this

00:18:56 --> 00:18:58

can refer to political leaders. There are also

00:18:58 --> 00:19:00

a lot of olamah, quote unquote olamah. People

00:19:00 --> 00:19:02

who have, like, they can prattle off information

00:19:03 --> 00:19:05

in ways that move the heart, but the

00:19:05 --> 00:19:07

hafitha, the reality of the knowledge doesn't sit

00:19:07 --> 00:19:08

inside the heart.

00:19:09 --> 00:19:12

And the the definition of what is knowledge,

00:19:12 --> 00:19:14

what is knowledge, this is something

00:19:15 --> 00:19:17

almost completely missing from the Western tradition. The

00:19:17 --> 00:19:19

discussion of what the nature of knowledge is

00:19:19 --> 00:19:21

and it's something that was discussed by our,

00:19:22 --> 00:19:23

masha'i from the time of the salaf, from

00:19:23 --> 00:19:25

the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam at the

00:19:25 --> 00:19:26

time of the salaf.

00:19:36 --> 00:19:38

Sinks into your heart, it's not it's not

00:19:38 --> 00:19:39

considered a elmoo

00:19:40 --> 00:19:41

in the tradition that we come from.

00:19:42 --> 00:19:44

And so there are a lot of ulama

00:19:44 --> 00:19:45

like that also, quote unquote They have the

00:19:45 --> 00:19:46

degree,

00:19:47 --> 00:19:49

they talk the talk, they memorize their tajweed,

00:19:49 --> 00:19:52

their is really and their is

00:19:53 --> 00:19:54

really,

00:19:54 --> 00:19:55

super

00:19:55 --> 00:19:58

out. And all of everything the turban is,

00:19:58 --> 00:19:58

like,

00:19:59 --> 00:19:59

a $20,000

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03

turban and like a $100,000 jubba, everything is

00:20:03 --> 00:20:05

all the boxes get ticked, but it's like

00:20:06 --> 00:20:08

the lights are on but nobody's home.

00:20:09 --> 00:20:10

And

00:20:10 --> 00:20:12

one of the things that was mentioned at

00:20:12 --> 00:20:14

the end of this hadith is that the

00:20:14 --> 00:20:16

the punishment for these people is what such

00:20:16 --> 00:20:18

a tribulation that it will leave even a

00:20:18 --> 00:20:19

person who's like

00:20:20 --> 00:20:23

relatively, like calm and collected and and wise

00:20:23 --> 00:20:25

in their assessment of things, like wondering what

00:20:25 --> 00:20:26

am I supposed to do.

00:20:27 --> 00:20:29

The ulemar, the people that are the warahatulambia,

00:20:30 --> 00:20:30

they're

00:20:30 --> 00:20:32

the heirs of the prophets.

00:20:34 --> 00:20:37

If the doctor is the one prescribing you

00:20:37 --> 00:20:39

the poison, then what are you supposed to

00:20:39 --> 00:20:41

do? If the children can't trust their own

00:20:41 --> 00:20:43

parents, then who are they supposed to trust?

00:20:43 --> 00:20:45

It's really a severe trial. It's a severe

00:20:45 --> 00:20:46

tribulation.

00:20:47 --> 00:20:48

And the fact of the matter is is

00:20:48 --> 00:20:50

that the people who bother to, like,

00:20:51 --> 00:20:53

I don't know, try and practice these things

00:20:53 --> 00:20:55

and learn these things, they will

00:20:55 --> 00:20:56

find a vote. They'll be able to taste

00:20:56 --> 00:20:59

the difference between what's real and what's fake.

00:20:59 --> 00:21:01

But there'll be a lot of people who

00:21:01 --> 00:21:02

are gonna be like, you know what? This

00:21:02 --> 00:21:03

is a very professionally

00:21:05 --> 00:21:07

doctored and very professionally

00:21:07 --> 00:21:08

PR, professionally

00:21:09 --> 00:21:10

tailored experience

00:21:11 --> 00:21:11

for YouTube,

00:21:13 --> 00:21:14

for Facebook,

00:21:14 --> 00:21:15

for Instagram,

00:21:15 --> 00:21:16

for TikTok.

00:21:18 --> 00:21:18

Right?

00:21:20 --> 00:21:20

And

00:21:21 --> 00:21:23

the people who are not, like, attuned to

00:21:23 --> 00:21:24

these things, they don't think about these things.

00:21:24 --> 00:21:26

They'll say, look, there's no more no one

00:21:26 --> 00:21:28

more pious than than this person. There's no

00:21:28 --> 00:21:30

one more learned than this person. All of

00:21:30 --> 00:21:31

it has to do with metrics. All of

00:21:31 --> 00:21:32

it has to do with making money. All

00:21:32 --> 00:21:34

of it has to do with politics. All

00:21:34 --> 00:21:35

of it has to do with all of

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36

these things, and you would never know.

00:21:37 --> 00:21:39

And that's the day once you learn that

00:21:39 --> 00:21:40

lesson the hard way, that's the day you

00:21:41 --> 00:21:43

realize and you know the importance and the

00:21:43 --> 00:21:46

value and the wilyah, the sainthood of those

00:21:46 --> 00:21:48

people who sit and teach Alif Batatha to

00:21:48 --> 00:21:49

the to the children.

00:21:50 --> 00:21:51

That that's something that's completely

00:21:52 --> 00:21:53

difficult work

00:21:54 --> 00:21:56

and but it is the thing that will

00:21:56 --> 00:21:58

propagate Islam to the next generation, and there's

00:21:58 --> 00:22:01

very little that you you'll get compensated for

00:22:01 --> 00:22:03

things like that in the dunya. There's no

00:22:03 --> 00:22:04

glory in it,

00:22:05 --> 00:22:07

in this world at any rate. But it's

00:22:07 --> 00:22:09

what is something done for the sake of

00:22:09 --> 00:22:11

Allah ta'ala alone and without any partner. There's

00:22:11 --> 00:22:13

no labeling. There's no branding in it.

00:22:13 --> 00:22:16

There's no celebrities in it. There's no famous

00:22:16 --> 00:22:17

people in it.

00:22:17 --> 00:22:17

There's no,

00:22:18 --> 00:22:19

you know,

00:22:19 --> 00:22:22

virality in it. There's none of those things.

00:22:22 --> 00:22:23

So the Rasool

00:22:24 --> 00:22:25

said that they're gonna be people.

00:22:26 --> 00:22:27

Outwardly, their

00:22:27 --> 00:22:29

their their hives will be like the the

00:22:29 --> 00:22:30

the skin of a sheep, how soft it

00:22:30 --> 00:22:33

is. And their tongues will be sweeter than

00:22:33 --> 00:22:35

honey, but their hearts will be the hearts

00:22:35 --> 00:22:36

of wolves. They just look at you and

00:22:36 --> 00:22:38

me, the average rank and file Muslims, as

00:22:38 --> 00:22:40

a commodity to be consumed.

00:22:41 --> 00:22:41

Allah

00:22:42 --> 00:22:45

ta'ala will say say to such people,

00:22:46 --> 00:22:47

are the are they,

00:22:47 --> 00:22:49

Abiyyah Yar Tarun?

00:22:51 --> 00:22:53

These people, their their their their,

00:22:55 --> 00:22:57

their arrogance. Is it is it with me

00:22:57 --> 00:22:58

that they're being arrogant?

00:22:59 --> 00:23:00

Is there

00:23:01 --> 00:23:01

their,

00:23:03 --> 00:23:05

their bravery in doing this thing and messing

00:23:05 --> 00:23:08

with with with with with something? Are they

00:23:08 --> 00:23:09

are they brave now to mess with me?

00:23:11 --> 00:23:14

I swear an oath indeed indeed I will

00:23:15 --> 00:23:17

raise over them such a fitna such a

00:23:17 --> 00:23:20

fitna that will leave even the most forbearance

00:23:20 --> 00:23:21

of them,

00:23:21 --> 00:23:23

completely confused as to what's going on.

00:23:24 --> 00:23:25

And finally, I wanted to share

00:23:32 --> 00:23:34

about the time, the signs of the time,

00:23:34 --> 00:23:35

the the

00:23:36 --> 00:23:38

the Dajjal will come. Because the Dajjal, Imam

00:23:38 --> 00:23:40

Mahdi, all these things will be very close

00:23:40 --> 00:23:41

in time to one another.

00:23:42 --> 00:23:43

He says that

00:23:51 --> 00:23:53

the sign that the sign of his coming

00:23:53 --> 00:23:54

out,

00:23:54 --> 00:23:55

the antichrist,

00:23:56 --> 00:23:57

the false messiah,

00:23:57 --> 00:23:59

will be people having left

00:23:59 --> 00:24:01

commanding to that which is right.

00:24:01 --> 00:24:03

That they know that the salat is far.

00:24:03 --> 00:24:05

They know that, you know but those they'll

00:24:05 --> 00:24:06

meet with their relatives, with their friends. They

00:24:06 --> 00:24:08

won't say anything to anyone, and they'll think

00:24:08 --> 00:24:10

that the maximum piety that I I have

00:24:10 --> 00:24:12

to do is what? I'll just slip out

00:24:12 --> 00:24:13

quietly and pray myself,

00:24:13 --> 00:24:15

and I won't say anything to anybody

00:24:16 --> 00:24:19

after that. Why? Because, you know, it's modernity

00:24:19 --> 00:24:21

and, like, to each its own and live

00:24:21 --> 00:24:22

and let live and all of these other

00:24:22 --> 00:24:24

things that are alien to our that are

00:24:24 --> 00:24:26

alien to our tradition. Yes. Live and let

00:24:26 --> 00:24:27

live. If you like to eat, you know,

00:24:27 --> 00:24:29

somebody likes to eat gulab jamun and the

00:24:29 --> 00:24:31

other guy likes to eat kunafa, live and

00:24:31 --> 00:24:32

let live. You don't have to make a

00:24:32 --> 00:24:34

big deal out of that. But these things

00:24:34 --> 00:24:36

are not kunafa and they're not gulab jamun.

00:24:36 --> 00:24:37

What are they? This is the deen of

00:24:37 --> 00:24:38

Allah Ta'ala.

00:24:39 --> 00:24:39

And the

00:24:40 --> 00:24:41

forbidding that which is wrong, when you see

00:24:41 --> 00:24:43

the people leaving that.

00:24:49 --> 00:24:51

That that people will see the spilling of

00:24:51 --> 00:24:52

blood as a small

00:24:53 --> 00:24:55

affair, as a small matter. People will get

00:24:55 --> 00:24:57

killed and say, oh, only 1 person died,

00:24:57 --> 00:24:58

only 2 people died, or like this is

00:24:58 --> 00:25:00

what happens in such and such country. This

00:25:00 --> 00:25:02

is how such and such country is. This

00:25:02 --> 00:25:04

is how so and so people are. Right?

00:25:04 --> 00:25:05

People

00:25:05 --> 00:25:07

be be very frank in this country. In

00:25:07 --> 00:25:08

this country, somebody dies.

00:25:09 --> 00:25:11

If it's a black person who dies, people

00:25:11 --> 00:25:12

are like, oh, these people, they're just meant

00:25:12 --> 00:25:14

to die. Right? Is it right or is

00:25:14 --> 00:25:15

it wrong?

00:25:15 --> 00:25:18

Morally, it's very wrong, but it is unfortunately

00:25:18 --> 00:25:20

the way people think about things like that.

00:25:20 --> 00:25:22

And the blood of every human being.

00:25:42 --> 00:25:45

Everybody is a spirit just like another person

00:25:45 --> 00:25:46

has a spirit.

00:25:46 --> 00:25:47

And they have

00:25:48 --> 00:25:50

they have everyone has a nafs like the

00:25:50 --> 00:25:52

other person has a nafs and everyone has

00:25:52 --> 00:25:54

arru and arwa are like similar to one

00:25:54 --> 00:25:58

another and everybody has bones in which Allah

00:25:58 --> 00:25:58

created

00:25:59 --> 00:26:02

flesh and limbs. And if anybody has a,

00:26:03 --> 00:26:05

a lineage that they should boast about, then

00:26:05 --> 00:26:07

what is it? It's that all of us

00:26:07 --> 00:26:08

are the descendants

00:26:10 --> 00:26:12

of of of earth and of water.

00:26:13 --> 00:26:15

But we say, oh, these people, they're like

00:26:15 --> 00:26:16

meant to die. These people, they're meant to

00:26:16 --> 00:26:18

work. These people were meant to suffer. Right?

00:26:21 --> 00:26:23

So that people will will make light of

00:26:23 --> 00:26:24

the spilling of blood.

00:26:27 --> 00:26:29

That people, when they waste when they waste

00:26:29 --> 00:26:31

when they waste sovereignty,

00:26:32 --> 00:26:35

that the government no longer does what's in

00:26:35 --> 00:26:36

the interest of people

00:26:37 --> 00:26:39

and more than that, they no longer do

00:26:39 --> 00:26:41

what's in what's the commandment of Allah ta'ala

00:26:41 --> 00:26:43

and his Rasul sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

00:26:45 --> 00:26:47

When we rule, we rule by the mandate

00:26:47 --> 00:26:49

not of the people but by the mandate

00:26:49 --> 00:26:50

of Allah ta'ala.

00:26:51 --> 00:26:52

Otherwise, if you rule by the mandate of

00:26:52 --> 00:26:54

the people and the ideal government is anarchy,

00:26:54 --> 00:26:56

why should you tell me what to do?

00:26:56 --> 00:26:57

Why should I tell you what to do?

00:26:57 --> 00:26:59

Why should I have to stop at the

00:26:59 --> 00:27:02

red stoplight? It's somebody else's rules. Right?

00:27:02 --> 00:27:04

It impinges on my freedom.

00:27:04 --> 00:27:07

Right? It impinges on my freedom.

00:27:08 --> 00:27:09

Well, the problem is what? It's gonna like

00:27:09 --> 00:27:10

blood will be spilled in the streets and

00:27:10 --> 00:27:12

things. There's a lot of problems. So the

00:27:12 --> 00:27:14

the hookm is what? It's a mandate from

00:27:14 --> 00:27:16

Allah to Al and his rasul sallallahu alaihi

00:27:16 --> 00:27:18

wa sallam and his ambia alaihi wasallam.

00:27:20 --> 00:27:22

But what what will it be turned into?

00:27:22 --> 00:27:24

Neither will it be used for to fulfill

00:27:24 --> 00:27:26

the divine mandate nor will it be used

00:27:26 --> 00:27:27

for the benefit of the ra'i'ah

00:27:28 --> 00:27:29

of the people.

00:27:29 --> 00:27:31

Rather, it's just something that people will waste

00:27:31 --> 00:27:33

in order to enrich themselves, in order to

00:27:33 --> 00:27:36

ingratiate themselves, in order to pump pump up

00:27:36 --> 00:27:36

their own egos.

00:27:37 --> 00:27:38

Wa'akaluribah,

00:27:38 --> 00:27:40

and they will eat the the money of

00:27:40 --> 00:27:41

usury.

00:27:44 --> 00:27:47

And they will fortify their buildings. They'll make

00:27:47 --> 00:27:48

really fancy buildings.

00:27:49 --> 00:27:50

And they will take,

00:27:51 --> 00:27:53

they'll drink wine and by extension intoxicants.

00:27:55 --> 00:27:58

And people will listen to singing

00:27:58 --> 00:27:59

songstresses.

00:27:59 --> 00:28:00

The women who sing songs.

00:28:04 --> 00:28:06

And the men will wear,

00:28:06 --> 00:28:07

silk.

00:28:10 --> 00:28:12

And, they will,

00:28:12 --> 00:28:13

make it hard.

00:28:14 --> 00:28:16

I'm forgetting what this word means

00:28:20 --> 00:28:20

precisely.

00:28:21 --> 00:28:23

But the treasures of of Firaun will be

00:28:25 --> 00:28:26

openly displayed.

00:28:27 --> 00:28:29

If you read the news, you'll know how

00:28:29 --> 00:28:30

creepy this is, by the way. They just

00:28:30 --> 00:28:32

had, like, a big parade or whatever when

00:28:32 --> 00:28:32

they moved from 1

00:28:33 --> 00:28:36

I I don't wanna, like, mention particular nations,

00:28:36 --> 00:28:37

but I'm not picking on anyone. Every

00:28:38 --> 00:28:39

country in the Muslim world has its share

00:28:39 --> 00:28:40

of all of this stuff. But,

00:28:41 --> 00:28:43

this is specifically mentioned in in in this

00:28:43 --> 00:28:45

author of Saidin Abdullah bin Abbas radiAllahu anhu

00:28:45 --> 00:28:47

Mas'ut's a manna, we have to mention it.

00:28:50 --> 00:28:52

And people will be quick to break their

00:28:52 --> 00:28:53

promises to one another.

00:28:55 --> 00:28:58

And people will study for other than deen.

00:28:58 --> 00:29:00

If I told you the greatest Muhadith in

00:29:00 --> 00:29:02

the world was sitting somewhere

00:29:02 --> 00:29:04

and the greatest Faqih in the world was

00:29:04 --> 00:29:05

sitting somewhere

00:29:05 --> 00:29:08

and the greatest Quran are sitting somewhere.

00:29:08 --> 00:29:10

I promise you from our own community,

00:29:11 --> 00:29:13

people would rather go and read Islamic Studies

00:29:13 --> 00:29:15

from a non Muslim at the university.

00:29:16 --> 00:29:18

And when you actually read when you actually

00:29:18 --> 00:29:20

read the riulm, you'll see how it's not

00:29:20 --> 00:29:22

just a matter of

00:29:23 --> 00:29:25

bigotry, but how really weak their,

00:29:27 --> 00:29:28

foray into,

00:29:28 --> 00:29:30

Islamic learning is.

00:29:30 --> 00:29:32

But what is it? People say, you don't

00:29:32 --> 00:29:34

have a degree. How are you gonna eat?

00:29:34 --> 00:29:35

How are you gonna live? How are you

00:29:35 --> 00:29:37

gonna go do go become a doctor, become

00:29:37 --> 00:29:39

an engineer, go do a degree in

00:29:39 --> 00:29:42

management finance, become a computer programmer.

00:29:42 --> 00:29:45

The knowledge of this deen is to serve

00:29:45 --> 00:29:45

the Lord.

00:29:46 --> 00:29:48

The purpose of it is not to not

00:29:48 --> 00:29:50

to make money. You will make money on

00:29:50 --> 00:29:52

the way. Everyone has to make money. But

00:29:52 --> 00:29:54

if that's your purpose, then what are you

00:29:54 --> 00:29:56

you're learning for the sake of other than

00:29:56 --> 00:29:58

Allah ta'ala, which is not a good thing.

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59

It's not a good thing. We know that

00:29:59 --> 00:30:01

this is a reason that people enter the

00:30:01 --> 00:30:04

hellfire, and it's a reason that that this

00:30:04 --> 00:30:06

entire world will be stopped at barakah and

00:30:06 --> 00:30:08

get to the point that, that we're about

00:30:08 --> 00:30:08

to describe.

00:30:09 --> 00:30:11

Mazayyan al Masajid

00:30:11 --> 00:30:13

and the people will spend money on

00:30:14 --> 00:30:15

on beautifying masajid.

00:30:16 --> 00:30:18

There is a degree to which it's matluob

00:30:18 --> 00:30:20

that you should make the masjid beautiful.

00:30:20 --> 00:30:23

But what is being mentioned in this hadith

00:30:23 --> 00:30:23

is what?

00:30:24 --> 00:30:26

People would rather go to a masjid that

00:30:26 --> 00:30:27

the prayer times are not at the right

00:30:27 --> 00:30:28

at the right time.

00:30:29 --> 00:30:31

They would rather go to a masjid that's

00:30:31 --> 00:30:33

financed on riba. They'd rather go to a

00:30:33 --> 00:30:34

masjid in which the

00:30:35 --> 00:30:35

the imam

00:30:36 --> 00:30:38

or the person giving the khutbah is

00:30:39 --> 00:30:41

a person who is aqari in the operatic

00:30:41 --> 00:30:43

sense, not in the usuli sense.

00:30:46 --> 00:30:48

And is not a person of not a

00:30:48 --> 00:30:50

person of ilm and fiqh, but a person

00:30:50 --> 00:30:51

who just tells people things that make them

00:30:51 --> 00:30:54

feel better or tells stories fluff to pass

00:30:54 --> 00:30:56

the time and not offend people.

00:30:57 --> 00:30:59

They'd rather go for that experience rather than

00:30:59 --> 00:31:01

going to a place where you can

00:31:02 --> 00:31:04

see the deen being practiced, where the dhikr

00:31:04 --> 00:31:05

of Allah Ta'ala is being made, where the

00:31:05 --> 00:31:07

sunnah of the prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam is

00:31:07 --> 00:31:08

being

00:31:08 --> 00:31:10

being fulfilled. They'd rather do those things.

00:31:11 --> 00:31:12

And it may not be people in this

00:31:12 --> 00:31:14

room, but there are a lot of people

00:31:14 --> 00:31:17

like that. And more importantly, because why talk

00:31:17 --> 00:31:18

smack about people who are not here right

00:31:18 --> 00:31:19

now?

00:31:19 --> 00:31:21

More importantly, all of us have a little

00:31:21 --> 00:31:23

fraction of this tendency inside.

00:31:23 --> 00:31:25

When you see something beautiful, you're like, that's

00:31:25 --> 00:31:26

cool. Right?

00:31:26 --> 00:31:28

When you see a nice building,

00:31:28 --> 00:31:30

it makes you feel nice. Right? You see,

00:31:30 --> 00:31:32

like, a brand new shopping mall. Who here

00:31:32 --> 00:31:33

hasn't thought about that? That why is it

00:31:33 --> 00:31:35

that, you know, shopping malls are so nice,

00:31:35 --> 00:31:37

we can't build a masjid that's nice?

00:31:37 --> 00:31:39

You're like local high schools in in town

00:31:39 --> 00:31:42

are huge buildings. The Islamic schools look like

00:31:42 --> 00:31:44

miskeen, like they look like the diseased goat.

00:31:44 --> 00:31:47

You know? Why is that? The Madars people

00:31:47 --> 00:31:49

are sitting on on woven straw mats.

00:31:49 --> 00:31:51

Whereas even a community college, like, I've not

00:31:51 --> 00:31:54

seen any Madrasa in the Indian subcontinent that

00:31:54 --> 00:31:56

has a library bigger than than an average

00:31:56 --> 00:31:59

community college in America. Why is that? A

00:31:59 --> 00:32:01

person wonders why is that? And the fact

00:32:01 --> 00:32:02

of the matter is truth is not in

00:32:02 --> 00:32:05

buildings, truth is not in bricks, truth is

00:32:05 --> 00:32:06

not in calligraphy,

00:32:06 --> 00:32:08

truth is not in any of those things.

00:32:09 --> 00:32:11

Truth stands on its own.

00:32:11 --> 00:32:13

The Haqq is a sifa of Allah ta'ala

00:32:13 --> 00:32:14

ultimately.

00:32:15 --> 00:32:15

So,

00:32:18 --> 00:32:20

Abdullah ibn Abbas radiAllahu ta'ala who mentions, he

00:32:20 --> 00:32:22

says, they make the masajid beautiful

00:32:25 --> 00:32:26

They've destroyed and they have,

00:32:27 --> 00:32:28

desolated the hearts.

00:32:30 --> 00:32:32

And people don't, you know, they cut off

00:32:32 --> 00:32:32

their kinship

00:32:34 --> 00:32:34

relatives.

00:32:43 --> 00:32:44

Did I say the I right? Who's the

00:32:44 --> 00:32:47

Hafiz? Right? That is it Are you like

00:32:47 --> 00:32:49

Khosat Hanalada? Literally describes

00:32:49 --> 00:32:51

of of Quresh that that, you know, in

00:32:51 --> 00:32:52

the most stern of terms,

00:32:53 --> 00:32:55

that you turn away and that you

00:32:57 --> 00:32:59

make facade, you make mischief in the earth,

00:32:59 --> 00:33:01

and you cut your your kinship ties from

00:33:01 --> 00:33:03

one another. Like, this is a tintal of,

00:33:03 --> 00:33:05

like, of of of complete,

00:33:06 --> 00:33:08

of complete, like, debauchery of like really bad

00:33:08 --> 00:33:09

people.

00:33:09 --> 00:33:11

But it will become common. People to say,

00:33:11 --> 00:33:13

yeah, you know what? My mom, you know,

00:33:13 --> 00:33:15

she she I have issues and I'm not

00:33:15 --> 00:33:17

gonna talk to her anymore. Yes. There are

00:33:17 --> 00:33:19

some people. Like I've seen some people suffer

00:33:19 --> 00:33:20

a lot like they're they've suffered,

00:33:21 --> 00:33:22

you know, what do you tell what do

00:33:22 --> 00:33:24

you tell a woman, like, who tells you

00:33:24 --> 00:33:25

my father raped me?

00:33:26 --> 00:33:27

This is not a normal thing. A normal

00:33:27 --> 00:33:29

person, when hearing a sentence like that, should

00:33:29 --> 00:33:30

be very disturbed.

00:33:31 --> 00:33:34

It happens very rarely but it does happen.

00:33:34 --> 00:33:36

What do you tell a person like that,

00:33:36 --> 00:33:37

you know. What do you I tell them,

00:33:37 --> 00:33:38

I say, look, if you can't see them

00:33:38 --> 00:33:40

anymore, if you can't meet them anymore, don't

00:33:40 --> 00:33:40

meet

00:33:42 --> 00:33:44

them anymore. But you for you, the Birul

00:33:44 --> 00:33:46

Walidayn is what? Is that still you ask

00:33:46 --> 00:33:48

Allah to guide them and and, you know,

00:33:48 --> 00:33:50

turn them away from this thing and forgive

00:33:50 --> 00:33:51

them for Allah's sake.

00:33:52 --> 00:33:54

But the point is even then, you know,

00:33:54 --> 00:33:56

you don't let go a 100%. Say, yeah.

00:33:56 --> 00:33:58

You just write the person off, khalas, done.

00:33:58 --> 00:34:00

But this is going to be what what

00:34:00 --> 00:34:01

happens near the end of time and we

00:34:01 --> 00:34:03

ourselves see that this is something that becomes

00:34:03 --> 00:34:05

more and more common with time.

00:34:08 --> 00:34:11

This Ibarra is there in a hadith indeed,

00:34:11 --> 00:34:13

Muwata Muhammad Malik as well with a even

00:34:13 --> 00:34:14

stronger sun.

00:34:15 --> 00:34:16

That you'll see that people there will be

00:34:16 --> 00:34:18

so many there will be so many Quran

00:34:18 --> 00:34:20

fancy Quran reciters and there'll be so few

00:34:20 --> 00:34:21

people who,

00:34:22 --> 00:34:24

understand the deen. Here, fitta is not just

00:34:24 --> 00:34:26

the the in the it's it doesn't mean

00:34:26 --> 00:34:27

the legal sense, which is

00:34:28 --> 00:34:30

a a meaning of the term that comes

00:34:30 --> 00:34:31

a little bit later.

00:34:31 --> 00:34:34

But here it means understanding, which includes the

00:34:34 --> 00:34:35

law. It includes

00:34:35 --> 00:34:36

that includes,

00:34:37 --> 00:34:39

it includes a kind of a holistic understanding

00:34:39 --> 00:34:41

of the deen rather than just fancy recitation.

00:34:46 --> 00:34:48

And people will wholesale stop

00:34:49 --> 00:34:51

enforcing the the the limits of Allah. Ta'ala,

00:34:51 --> 00:34:52

and here is also specific

00:34:53 --> 00:34:55

a specific reference to the corporal punishments,

00:34:57 --> 00:34:59

that are prescribed by, the Sharia,

00:34:59 --> 00:35:01

the sacred Sharia for certain

00:35:02 --> 00:35:05

types of transgressions, like for

00:35:05 --> 00:35:06

being intoxicated

00:35:06 --> 00:35:07

and for,

00:35:08 --> 00:35:08

adultery

00:35:08 --> 00:35:09

and for,

00:35:12 --> 00:35:12

the wrong

00:35:13 --> 00:35:15

the wrongful accusation of adultery

00:35:15 --> 00:35:16

and the like.

00:35:17 --> 00:35:19

That people will completely abandon it. And it's

00:35:19 --> 00:35:20

one thing you know, look, the Muslim world

00:35:20 --> 00:35:21

went through a lot of difficulty.

00:35:22 --> 00:35:24

Colonization was not easy for any part of

00:35:24 --> 00:35:26

the Muslim world. Even the parts that were

00:35:26 --> 00:35:27

not colonized, they

00:35:27 --> 00:35:28

they hung on barely.

00:35:29 --> 00:35:31

And so a person might say they were

00:35:31 --> 00:35:34

majbur. They were, like, compelled to, like, abandon

00:35:34 --> 00:35:35

parts of the sharia.

00:35:35 --> 00:35:37

Allah knows best. Allah will judge people.

00:35:38 --> 00:35:41

But it's our that Allah forgives the people

00:35:41 --> 00:35:43

who come to him in repentance.

00:35:43 --> 00:35:45

I have no, like, need to, like,

00:35:46 --> 00:35:48

consign people to the hellfire. But what's wrong

00:35:48 --> 00:35:50

with what's wrong when you're sitting in Farmington

00:35:50 --> 00:35:50

Hills,

00:35:51 --> 00:35:51

Michigan?

00:35:54 --> 00:35:55

You and I are neither

00:35:55 --> 00:35:57

asked by anybody nor would it be valid

00:35:57 --> 00:35:59

even if we were to try to enforce

00:35:59 --> 00:36:01

a Hud punishment. You see someone drunk in

00:36:01 --> 00:36:02

the streets and you try flogging them. It's

00:36:02 --> 00:36:04

it's not without the sovereign the the the

00:36:04 --> 00:36:06

wilay of the sovereign state, you can't even

00:36:06 --> 00:36:06

do it.

00:36:07 --> 00:36:09

What skin off of it off of your

00:36:09 --> 00:36:10

back is it to say that this is

00:36:10 --> 00:36:12

the the punishment that's prescribed by the book

00:36:12 --> 00:36:13

of Allah and the sunnah of the prophet

00:36:15 --> 00:36:16

But we see people that are like they

00:36:16 --> 00:36:19

say this, popular people get invited to conferences

00:36:19 --> 00:36:20

and things like that. Oh, you know, we

00:36:20 --> 00:36:22

should have a moratorium on the hudud, and

00:36:22 --> 00:36:24

but nobody's been forcing them in the first

00:36:24 --> 00:36:25

place.

00:36:25 --> 00:36:27

What benefit do you get by saying things

00:36:27 --> 00:36:30

like this? But things like this, ridiculous emperor's

00:36:30 --> 00:36:32

new clothes type of types of things like

00:36:32 --> 00:36:34

this will be said by people, and they'll

00:36:34 --> 00:36:35

be taken very seriously, in fact.

00:36:42 --> 00:36:45

And you'll see that men will start to

00:36:45 --> 00:36:47

behave and imitate women and women will start

00:36:47 --> 00:36:49

to behave and imitate like men imitate men.

00:36:54 --> 00:36:55

And men will go to other men for

00:36:55 --> 00:36:57

their sexual fulfillment and women will go to

00:36:57 --> 00:36:59

other women for their sexual fulfillment.

00:37:00 --> 00:37:02

This will become a normal thing for people.

00:37:02 --> 00:37:04

You can't talk about it anymore. You can't

00:37:04 --> 00:37:06

even object to it anymore. I don't know

00:37:06 --> 00:37:08

if there's any jurisdiction that's left,

00:37:09 --> 00:37:11

a significant jurisdiction that's left in which there's

00:37:11 --> 00:37:12

not some sort of prohibition

00:37:12 --> 00:37:13

or criminalization

00:37:14 --> 00:37:14

of,

00:37:15 --> 00:37:18

even a person in a professional capacity telling

00:37:18 --> 00:37:19

somebody who thinks this is normal, that it's

00:37:19 --> 00:37:21

not normal, even though everybody knows it's not

00:37:21 --> 00:37:22

normal.

00:37:24 --> 00:37:26

Don't worry about whether people do it or

00:37:26 --> 00:37:29

not. These are personal failings of people.

00:37:29 --> 00:37:32

I have yateen inside my heart. Somebody who's

00:37:32 --> 00:37:34

a mubtalah who's being tested by a lata'a

00:37:34 --> 00:37:36

with this, interaction and they don't even have

00:37:36 --> 00:37:38

enough strength to resist it. Right? Who am

00:37:38 --> 00:37:40

I to judge? I don't resist so many

00:37:40 --> 00:37:41

things myself.

00:37:41 --> 00:37:43

I'm not saying it's okay but I'm just

00:37:43 --> 00:37:45

saying there have been people in this Ummah

00:37:45 --> 00:37:48

since relatively early who indulged in these things.

00:37:48 --> 00:37:49

Some Muslim countries,

00:37:50 --> 00:37:51

they probably indulge in these things probably at

00:37:51 --> 00:37:53

a rate higher than they do in America.

00:37:54 --> 00:37:56

If you live in those countries, you'll know

00:37:56 --> 00:37:57

that.

00:37:58 --> 00:38:00

However, nobody said it was normal. Nobody

00:38:01 --> 00:38:03

considered it a good thing.

00:38:05 --> 00:38:07

At the at the very maximum, someone would

00:38:07 --> 00:38:09

think of it like, you know, like smoking

00:38:09 --> 00:38:11

cigarettes. Like, everybody knows it's bad for you,

00:38:11 --> 00:38:12

but some people just do it.

00:38:15 --> 00:38:17

So the rasulullah was saying that when this

00:38:17 --> 00:38:18

this becomes,

00:38:18 --> 00:38:18

open,

00:38:22 --> 00:38:22

Allah

00:38:23 --> 00:38:23

at that time

00:38:24 --> 00:38:27

send over them the Dajjal, the false messiah.

00:38:27 --> 00:38:28

That

00:38:31 --> 00:38:33

they will be placed over them until

00:38:36 --> 00:38:38

until Allah takes vengeance from them.

00:38:39 --> 00:38:41

So this is the the the kind of

00:38:41 --> 00:38:42

the portrait of the way things will be

00:38:42 --> 00:38:44

at the end of time. And I want

00:38:44 --> 00:38:46

to move on and get through the material

00:38:46 --> 00:38:48

that we're supposed to get to tonight.

00:38:49 --> 00:38:50

But

00:38:51 --> 00:38:53

what I wanted to just point out is

00:38:54 --> 00:38:55

how

00:38:56 --> 00:38:57

we see things like virality,

00:38:58 --> 00:39:00

how we see things like social media influencers.

00:39:00 --> 00:39:03

Right? Social media influencers are not just

00:39:03 --> 00:39:06

a non Muslim phenomenon. We have them in

00:39:06 --> 00:39:07

the Muslim community.

00:39:08 --> 00:39:10

How we see people who are not scholars,

00:39:10 --> 00:39:11

who are not trained in Deen,

00:39:12 --> 00:39:14

and some of them very conveniently say we're

00:39:14 --> 00:39:14

not scholars,

00:39:15 --> 00:39:16

but they're still giving khutbas.

00:39:17 --> 00:39:19

They're still the ones that are being, you

00:39:19 --> 00:39:21

know, looked up to, when it comes to

00:39:21 --> 00:39:23

deen. They're still the ones who put themselves

00:39:23 --> 00:39:25

in the places where they get looked to

00:39:25 --> 00:39:25

for deen.

00:39:27 --> 00:39:28

This is a problem.

00:39:29 --> 00:39:31

That the Rasool sallallahu alaihi wa sallam he

00:39:31 --> 00:39:33

very explicitly said

00:39:34 --> 00:39:36

the the people of knowledge are the heirs

00:39:36 --> 00:39:38

of prophets. And in particular, it's the people

00:39:38 --> 00:39:40

of knowledge who practice what they what they

00:39:40 --> 00:39:41

know.

00:39:42 --> 00:39:44

Not the people of information. It's the people

00:39:44 --> 00:39:45

of knowledge. It's not it's not it's the

00:39:45 --> 00:39:47

olema. It's not theahlulahlulumat.

00:39:49 --> 00:39:52

And this is affecting us. It's affecting people,

00:39:52 --> 00:39:54

and we think of it as innocent, and

00:39:54 --> 00:39:55

it's not innocent at all.

00:39:56 --> 00:39:58

What it's doing is it's getting us to

00:39:58 --> 00:39:58

a place where

00:39:59 --> 00:40:00

Islam is no longer a way of life.

00:40:00 --> 00:40:02

It's no longer a deen. It's no longer

00:40:02 --> 00:40:04

a belief. It's no longer a conviction in

00:40:04 --> 00:40:05

the heart, but it's, like, become like a

00:40:05 --> 00:40:07

quasi race, like a pseudo race.

00:40:08 --> 00:40:08

We're like,

00:40:10 --> 00:40:12

I support your right to wear a hijab

00:40:12 --> 00:40:14

and you support, you know, like my right

00:40:14 --> 00:40:16

to marry another man or something like that.

00:40:16 --> 00:40:17

And it's not like that the Hakanbatel,

00:40:18 --> 00:40:19

they're not like you don't trade them equally

00:40:20 --> 00:40:23

because they're, you know, it's like apples and

00:40:23 --> 00:40:25

oranges. There's no real interaction between them.

00:40:26 --> 00:40:28

And again, if as a community, we don't

00:40:28 --> 00:40:30

have the we don't have the ability to

00:40:30 --> 00:40:32

have the upper hand and straighten these things

00:40:32 --> 00:40:34

out by force. Allah ta'ala

00:40:38 --> 00:40:38

will not

00:40:40 --> 00:40:42

burden a soul more than it can bear.

00:40:45 --> 00:40:45

But, like,

00:40:46 --> 00:40:47

at the same time

00:40:55 --> 00:40:57

He said in a in a verse he

00:40:57 --> 00:40:59

says in the in the world of the

00:40:59 --> 00:40:59

heart,

00:41:01 --> 00:41:03

I didn't see that the the British were

00:41:03 --> 00:41:04

able to colonize.

00:41:05 --> 00:41:06

Meaning what?

00:41:06 --> 00:41:08

Inside of your heart you're free.

00:41:09 --> 00:41:10

You can think and say whatever you want

00:41:10 --> 00:41:13

to. Any evil that's there, it's because you

00:41:13 --> 00:41:15

accepted it. Sha'ban can't even get into there.

00:41:17 --> 00:41:20

That I didn't see inside of the world

00:41:20 --> 00:41:21

of the heart, you know, that there's a

00:41:21 --> 00:41:22

caste system.

00:41:22 --> 00:41:24

It doesn't matter how poor you are.

00:41:25 --> 00:41:27

People say, oh, look, Sheikh Sheik Ubar Haman.

00:41:27 --> 00:41:28

This means there's no such thing as ulama.

00:41:28 --> 00:41:30

This is a very foolish understanding. The point

00:41:30 --> 00:41:33

is what the word Sheikh in the subcontinent

00:41:33 --> 00:41:34

doesn't only mean here.

00:41:35 --> 00:41:37

In the Siyak, it means a caste. That

00:41:37 --> 00:41:39

there's no caste system that we have a

00:41:39 --> 00:41:40

priestly caste that that,

00:41:41 --> 00:41:43

you know, is over other people, and you

00:41:43 --> 00:41:44

you can't

00:41:44 --> 00:41:46

think or feel things in your heart

00:41:46 --> 00:41:48

that anyone can ever stop you or restrict

00:41:48 --> 00:41:49

you from it.

00:41:50 --> 00:41:52

It's when we accept these things into our

00:41:52 --> 00:41:53

hearts as being okay,

00:41:54 --> 00:41:56

that's when that's when the foolishness happens. You

00:41:56 --> 00:41:58

guys are all familiar with the emperor's new

00:41:58 --> 00:42:00

clothes, the the story of the emperor's new

00:42:00 --> 00:42:00

clothes,

00:42:01 --> 00:42:03

right? That, the emperor you Yeah, Momo Yamher

00:42:03 --> 00:42:05

Masha'Allah. I'm gonna tell a story just for

00:42:05 --> 00:42:06

you, man. Right?

00:42:07 --> 00:42:07

The

00:42:08 --> 00:42:09

there's some like

00:42:10 --> 00:42:13

tricksters, you know, hustlers. They're probably where from

00:42:13 --> 00:42:14

where where I'm from.

00:42:14 --> 00:42:16

Right? So they walk in and they pose

00:42:16 --> 00:42:19

as tailors to the emperor and they say

00:42:19 --> 00:42:21

we have this like set of clothes that

00:42:21 --> 00:42:24

has a special quality that only smart people

00:42:24 --> 00:42:24

can see them.

00:42:25 --> 00:42:28

And so they weave their their hustle so

00:42:28 --> 00:42:28

well

00:42:29 --> 00:42:31

that the emperor is now like afraid to

00:42:31 --> 00:42:32

admit that he can't see them because he

00:42:32 --> 00:42:33

doesn't wanna look stupid.

00:42:34 --> 00:42:35

And everybody else in the court, they don't

00:42:35 --> 00:42:36

wanna look stupid.

00:42:36 --> 00:42:38

So basically what happens is they sell him

00:42:38 --> 00:42:41

this magical set of clothes at an exorbitant

00:42:41 --> 00:42:43

price and then the emperor

00:42:43 --> 00:42:45

actually goes out wearing these clothes which are

00:42:45 --> 00:42:47

not clothes at all. Right? He goes out

00:42:47 --> 00:42:49

and he humiliates himself. Everyone's like, oh look,

00:42:49 --> 00:42:51

they look your clothes look beautiful, they look

00:42:51 --> 00:42:53

wonderful, it's fashion, fashion, this and that and

00:42:53 --> 00:42:55

the other thing, right. Which is actually kind

00:42:55 --> 00:42:57

of not all that far fetched because people

00:42:58 --> 00:43:00

the way they dress nowadays, right?

00:43:02 --> 00:43:04

And then somebody like, you know, the village

00:43:04 --> 00:43:06

idiots, like why isn't he wearing any clothes?

00:43:07 --> 00:43:08

And then the whole thing kinda, like,

00:43:09 --> 00:43:11

falls apart. We get to that point. Why?

00:43:11 --> 00:43:13

Because we're afraid of what other people will

00:43:13 --> 00:43:15

think, and we you know, when somebody else

00:43:15 --> 00:43:17

goes along with a fraud, we go along

00:43:17 --> 00:43:19

with it as well, and it becomes like

00:43:19 --> 00:43:20

a kind of like a fake truth that

00:43:20 --> 00:43:21

we

00:43:21 --> 00:43:22

we all accept.

00:43:23 --> 00:43:24

Whereas it's not true at all.

00:43:25 --> 00:43:27

Look, you know, if you want to marry

00:43:27 --> 00:43:29

someone of the same gender or you want

00:43:29 --> 00:43:31

to pretend you're a gender that you're not

00:43:31 --> 00:43:32

or any of these things, that's fine. I'm

00:43:32 --> 00:43:34

not gonna beat you up. I'm not gonna

00:43:34 --> 00:43:36

make fun of you. I'm not gonna, you

00:43:36 --> 00:43:38

know, mock you. I'm not gonna, like, whatever,

00:43:38 --> 00:43:40

like, make your life any more difficult than

00:43:40 --> 00:43:41

it needs to be.

00:43:42 --> 00:43:43

But at the same time, like, I'm not

00:43:43 --> 00:43:45

gonna pretend that it's okay. You're still a

00:43:45 --> 00:43:47

human being and whatever, but I'm not gonna

00:43:47 --> 00:43:49

say that, like, yeah, you know, like, just

00:43:49 --> 00:43:50

like a man and a woman, you know,

00:43:50 --> 00:43:52

they have children and you're the same thing.

00:43:52 --> 00:43:54

It's not the same thing.

00:43:54 --> 00:43:56

It's not and but what is it? It's

00:43:56 --> 00:43:58

the emperor's new clothes. There are doctors who

00:43:58 --> 00:44:00

come and tell me. They say we're forced

00:44:00 --> 00:44:02

to give treatment to people that are biologically

00:44:02 --> 00:44:04

one gender according to the gender that they

00:44:04 --> 00:44:07

identify as. There's biological differences. We're actually harming

00:44:07 --> 00:44:10

the patient. We could get our medical licenses

00:44:10 --> 00:44:11

taken away from us if we don't do

00:44:11 --> 00:44:13

it. That's what I mean by the emperor

00:44:13 --> 00:44:15

new clothes. We have to have, you know,

00:44:15 --> 00:44:16

some

00:44:16 --> 00:44:18

circle in which we remind the haqq to

00:44:18 --> 00:44:18

one another.

00:44:19 --> 00:44:20

And we say it and we say, look,

00:44:20 --> 00:44:22

I can't do anything about what's going on

00:44:22 --> 00:44:24

outside. If you can, if one of you

00:44:24 --> 00:44:26

becomes the president, then power to you. Do

00:44:26 --> 00:44:27

whatever, you know.

00:44:27 --> 00:44:29

Make the world a better place. Right?

00:44:29 --> 00:44:31

For the rest of us, you know, like,

00:44:31 --> 00:44:33

what are we going to do? People say,

00:44:33 --> 00:44:35

you know, Hakam Sheikh, you don't tell people

00:44:35 --> 00:44:36

this, tell people that. I said, people don't

00:44:36 --> 00:44:37

even believe me when I tell them how

00:44:37 --> 00:44:39

to make I'm

00:44:40 --> 00:44:41

gonna tell them about this, that, and the

00:44:41 --> 00:44:42

other thing, you know.

00:44:43 --> 00:44:45

But the thing is you can always accept

00:44:45 --> 00:44:47

it inside your heart. Nobody else can attack

00:44:47 --> 00:44:49

you inside there. Once you purge it from

00:44:49 --> 00:44:50

there, then

00:44:50 --> 00:44:52

then bad times bad times are over the

00:44:52 --> 00:44:53

horizon.

00:44:54 --> 00:44:56

So we read the first, the first this

00:44:56 --> 00:44:57

the first set of Athar.

00:44:58 --> 00:45:00

These are narrated in Ibn Majah.

00:45:00 --> 00:45:04

And Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn ibn ibn Hanafi'ati

00:45:04 --> 00:45:06

who is a son of Sayyidna Ali radiAllahu

00:45:06 --> 00:45:08

anhu but from a mother other than Sayyidina

00:45:08 --> 00:45:08

Fatima.

00:45:10 --> 00:45:11

An Abihi,

00:45:13 --> 00:45:14

Muhammad bin Hanafiya

00:45:27 --> 00:45:28

That the Mahdi will be who? He will

00:45:28 --> 00:45:30

be from amongst us, meaning the family of

00:45:30 --> 00:45:33

the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. And he'll

00:45:33 --> 00:45:35

be such a man that the transformation of

00:45:35 --> 00:45:37

of him being just from a normal person

00:45:37 --> 00:45:39

into being the Imam Mahdi will happen, like,

00:45:39 --> 00:45:40

overnight.

00:45:40 --> 00:45:42

Like, he won't know he may not himself

00:45:42 --> 00:45:43

even know who

00:45:44 --> 00:45:45

that that this is who he's destined to

00:45:45 --> 00:45:47

be, but when the time comes, Allah to

00:45:47 --> 00:45:48

Allah will

00:45:48 --> 00:45:50

will transform him and make him,

00:45:51 --> 00:45:52

worthy of this mafam.

00:45:53 --> 00:45:54

This is important. People say why is this

00:45:55 --> 00:45:56

this is important. Why? Because there's a whole

00:45:56 --> 00:45:57

bunch of people who claim that they're the

00:45:57 --> 00:45:59

Mahdi. This has been a trope in, like,

00:45:59 --> 00:46:01

Islamic history, like a comic

00:46:01 --> 00:46:04

comical trope in Islamic history. Sometimes not so

00:46:04 --> 00:46:08

comical. Right? Abdullah bin Tumart from the, Masmuda

00:46:08 --> 00:46:10

tribe of Berbers claimed that he was the

00:46:10 --> 00:46:12

Mahdi and he made takfir of anybody who

00:46:12 --> 00:46:14

didn't accept it and he killed a great

00:46:14 --> 00:46:14

number of people.

00:46:15 --> 00:46:17

And the Ullama had mentioned that how could

00:46:17 --> 00:46:19

he be Mahdi? He's Masmudi. He's from the

00:46:19 --> 00:46:21

Masamidah. He's not a he's not from the

00:46:21 --> 00:46:23

Ahlbayt to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

00:46:24 --> 00:46:27

Nowadays, there's a confusion between who's the Imam

00:46:27 --> 00:46:29

Mahdi and who's the Imam Mahdi. That's that

00:46:29 --> 00:46:31

might be from another family. But the Mahdi

00:46:31 --> 00:46:33

alaihis salam is from the the family of

00:46:33 --> 00:46:35

the Rasulullah alaihis salam.

00:46:52 --> 00:46:55

Says Ibn Usayb alayhi wa sallam. Says that

00:46:55 --> 00:46:58

we were talking about the Mahdi or

00:46:59 --> 00:47:01

recite, you know, mentioning to one another what

00:47:01 --> 00:47:02

we knew about the Mahdi.

00:47:04 --> 00:47:05

And she said, I heard the messenger of

00:47:05 --> 00:47:07

Allah salallahu alaihi wa sallam say,

00:47:09 --> 00:47:11

the Mahdi will be from the progeny of

00:47:11 --> 00:47:13

Sayyafatim radiAllahu ta'ala.

00:47:33 --> 00:47:35

Said that Alastair Malik radiallahu anhu said, I

00:47:35 --> 00:47:37

heard from the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi

00:47:37 --> 00:47:38

wa sallam that he said,

00:47:39 --> 00:47:40

we,

00:47:40 --> 00:47:42

the descendants of Abdul Muttalib,

00:47:42 --> 00:47:43

shall be

00:47:43 --> 00:47:46

the leaders, the foremost people from the people

00:47:46 --> 00:47:47

of Jannah.

00:47:47 --> 00:47:49

And then he named a number of people.

00:47:49 --> 00:47:50

He said, myself

00:47:52 --> 00:47:53

and Hamza,

00:47:54 --> 00:47:55

the son of Abdul

00:47:59 --> 00:47:59

Abdul

00:48:03 --> 00:48:05

the brother of Sayna Ali who was shaheed

00:48:05 --> 00:48:06

in the battle of Mu'ta.

00:48:06 --> 00:48:08

Wal Hasunu al Hussainu

00:48:08 --> 00:48:09

Sayyidashababi

00:48:09 --> 00:48:10

Ahl Janati

00:48:11 --> 00:48:13

and the Mahdi. That he mentioned that the

00:48:13 --> 00:48:13

Mahdi is

00:48:14 --> 00:48:16

from his family and that he will also

00:48:16 --> 00:48:17

be from the

00:48:19 --> 00:48:21

Right now we're gonna someone might say, well,

00:48:21 --> 00:48:22

who is the Mahdi? We're gonna get to

00:48:22 --> 00:48:24

it. We're gonna read these hadiths

00:48:24 --> 00:48:26

in order and we're gonna get to it.

00:48:26 --> 00:48:27

Like I said, this is kind of in

00:48:27 --> 00:48:29

a the hadith are clustered according to narration

00:48:30 --> 00:48:32

order rather than in order in in in

00:48:32 --> 00:48:34

story order, and I did that on purpose

00:48:34 --> 00:48:36

because if I wove it into a story,

00:48:36 --> 00:48:38

it's very easy to get carried away and

00:48:38 --> 00:48:40

go on tangents and to exaggerate things. I

00:48:40 --> 00:48:42

want to give you what what what has

00:48:42 --> 00:48:45

been handed down from the books of Hadith,

00:48:45 --> 00:48:47

and the rest of it inshaAllah we can

00:48:47 --> 00:48:48

talk about if we have time.

00:48:49 --> 00:48:51

When Abdullah ibn al Harithi,

00:48:52 --> 00:48:53

ibn jaz in his Zwedi,

00:49:08 --> 00:49:10

bin Jaz al Zubaydi, he meant he narrates

00:49:10 --> 00:49:12

that the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa

00:49:12 --> 00:49:13

sallam said,

00:49:13 --> 00:49:15

a people from the east,

00:49:15 --> 00:49:17

meaning east of the Arabian Peninsula, a people

00:49:17 --> 00:49:19

from the east will come

00:49:19 --> 00:49:21

and they will be the ones who prepare

00:49:21 --> 00:49:24

who prepare for the Mahdi his rule.

00:49:24 --> 00:49:26

They'll prepare for the Mahdi'is rule.

00:49:27 --> 00:49:29

This is important. It will it will,

00:49:30 --> 00:49:32

I'll mention it in kind of conjunction with

00:49:32 --> 00:49:33

the next couple of hadith.

00:49:54 --> 00:49:57

These 2 hadith are connected to one another.

00:49:58 --> 00:50:01

Abu Hurair radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu says the Messenger

00:50:01 --> 00:50:03

of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam prophesized about the

00:50:03 --> 00:50:05

end of time. He said when the great

00:50:05 --> 00:50:06

battles

00:50:07 --> 00:50:08

of the end of time happen,

00:50:09 --> 00:50:11

Allah Ta'al will send a group of people

00:50:11 --> 00:50:12

from the Mawali. The Mawali

00:50:13 --> 00:50:15

literally means like freed slaves.

00:50:17 --> 00:50:19

Then it will go on to mean converts

00:50:20 --> 00:50:22

to Islam from amongst outside of the Arab

00:50:22 --> 00:50:23

tribes,

00:50:24 --> 00:50:27

but what it means essentially is non Arabs.

00:50:29 --> 00:50:31

Now, Masha'Allah, we have some Arab brothers and

00:50:31 --> 00:50:31

sisters here. We have some non Arab brothers

00:50:31 --> 00:50:33

and sisters sisters here, we have some non

00:50:33 --> 00:50:35

Arab brothers and sisters here as well.

00:50:36 --> 00:50:37

And this is a trick of shaitan to

00:50:37 --> 00:50:39

make division between people.

00:50:40 --> 00:50:43

And sometimes our Arab brothers and sisters are

00:50:43 --> 00:50:44

are not fair with us and sometimes we're

00:50:44 --> 00:50:45

not fair with them.

00:50:46 --> 00:50:47

It's the truth.

00:50:48 --> 00:50:49

But the fact of the matter is that

00:50:49 --> 00:50:50

the Maqam of the Arabs the

00:50:51 --> 00:50:53

the Maqam of the Arabs over other people

00:50:53 --> 00:50:53

is

00:50:54 --> 00:50:58

mentioned by the head the the Quran itself.

00:50:58 --> 00:50:59

Allah ta'ala says

00:51:03 --> 00:51:06

that that the Quran being sent is a

00:51:06 --> 00:51:08

vicar. If you look in the books of

00:51:08 --> 00:51:10

tafsir, the meaning of vicar here is shut

00:51:10 --> 00:51:11

off.

00:51:12 --> 00:51:14

It's honor. That this is an honor that's

00:51:14 --> 00:51:15

sent for you,

00:51:16 --> 00:51:17

You Rasul. Yeah. Yeah.

00:51:18 --> 00:51:19

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ira Rasul.

00:51:20 --> 00:51:23

Rasul. And for your people. Who's the qaum

00:51:23 --> 00:51:24

of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam? The

00:51:24 --> 00:51:26

qaum of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

00:51:26 --> 00:51:26

is the Arabs.

00:51:28 --> 00:51:29

The ummah of the prophet salallahu alaihi wa

00:51:29 --> 00:51:30

sallam is all of us, but if you

00:51:30 --> 00:51:31

look in the Quran,

00:51:32 --> 00:51:34

all of the when they say,

00:51:35 --> 00:51:35

the qumah

00:51:36 --> 00:51:37

of of of Sayna

00:51:38 --> 00:51:40

Hudha alaihis salam is who? It's Ad.

00:51:40 --> 00:51:42

The ones who believe amongst them and the

00:51:42 --> 00:51:44

ones who disbelieve. That's his Qom. That's his

00:51:44 --> 00:51:44

people.

00:51:45 --> 00:51:47

The Qom of Salih alaihi sallam is who?

00:51:47 --> 00:51:48

It's Samud.

00:51:49 --> 00:51:50

That's his people.

00:51:51 --> 00:51:53

The Qom of the prophet sallallahu alaihi sallam

00:51:53 --> 00:51:54

is who?

00:51:55 --> 00:51:57

It's the Arabs. It's the the Croatian is

00:51:57 --> 00:51:57

the Arabs

00:51:59 --> 00:52:00

and Islam the

00:52:00 --> 00:52:02

the kind of Islam flying high in the

00:52:02 --> 00:52:03

sky. Sky. Do you think the Christian Arabs

00:52:03 --> 00:52:04

didn't benefit from it?

00:52:05 --> 00:52:07

Of course they benefited from it. Of course

00:52:07 --> 00:52:09

they benefited from it.

00:52:10 --> 00:52:11

The entire Qom of the prophet salallahu alaihi

00:52:11 --> 00:52:14

wa sallam benefited from Islam whether they accepted

00:52:14 --> 00:52:15

iman or they didn't.

00:52:16 --> 00:52:18

The Munafiqin, they all benefited from it as

00:52:18 --> 00:52:19

well as the believers did.

00:52:20 --> 00:52:22

And so what is it? The honor of

00:52:22 --> 00:52:24

the Arabs? It doesn't make halal in the

00:52:24 --> 00:52:26

haram and haram in the halal. It doesn't

00:52:26 --> 00:52:27

mean that someone's allowed to cheat you or

00:52:27 --> 00:52:29

steal you or behave poorly with you, but

00:52:29 --> 00:52:31

we should accept this fact. We should mention

00:52:31 --> 00:52:33

this fact out of love for the Quran,

00:52:33 --> 00:52:35

out of love for the prophet sallallahu alaihi

00:52:35 --> 00:52:37

wa sallam that there is an honor in

00:52:37 --> 00:52:39

in in in Arabness.

00:52:39 --> 00:52:40

On the flip side,

00:52:41 --> 00:52:43

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala brought all of these

00:52:43 --> 00:52:44

nations into the deen.

00:52:45 --> 00:52:46

As an Arabi, you should be proud of

00:52:46 --> 00:52:48

it, you should not resent such people.

00:52:49 --> 00:52:51

And there are many examples of why that's

00:52:51 --> 00:52:53

the case. This hadith is a beautiful example,

00:52:53 --> 00:52:55

which is what That at the end of

00:52:55 --> 00:52:57

time, the Arabs will be the brunt of

00:52:57 --> 00:52:59

whatever happens to the Muslims, the brunt of

00:52:59 --> 00:53:01

it's gonna happen to the Arabs. It's just

00:53:01 --> 00:53:02

the way it is.

00:53:02 --> 00:53:04

These two things will not be separated until

00:53:04 --> 00:53:05

Yom O Piyama.

00:53:06 --> 00:53:08

And so what is the Rasool, sallallahu alaihi

00:53:08 --> 00:53:10

wa sallam say saying that the people who

00:53:10 --> 00:53:12

come to the aid of the, of of

00:53:12 --> 00:53:14

the Arab at that time will be who?

00:53:14 --> 00:53:17

They'll be Moali. They'll be like, you know,

00:53:18 --> 00:53:20

black people and Pakistanis and Indians and Bangalis

00:53:21 --> 00:53:23

and Malaysians and Turks and, like, all of

00:53:23 --> 00:53:25

these different people from these different Aqwam.

00:53:27 --> 00:53:28

And the Rasul salallahu alaihi wa sallam described

00:53:28 --> 00:53:31

them how as they'll be the the best

00:53:31 --> 00:53:32

cavalry and they'll be the ones with the

00:53:32 --> 00:53:34

best armament and weapons.

00:53:35 --> 00:53:37

And who are they, you know, Ayuh al

00:53:37 --> 00:53:38

Arab. Who are they? There to help. They're

00:53:38 --> 00:53:39

there to help you guys.

00:53:40 --> 00:53:42

They're there to help you.

00:53:42 --> 00:53:45

They're there for Allah made them. Musakhar Allah

00:53:45 --> 00:53:46

subjigated

00:53:46 --> 00:53:48

them to your service, to your benefit. Why

00:53:48 --> 00:53:50

shouldn't you be happy about it? You should

00:53:50 --> 00:53:51

be happy about it. It should be a

00:53:51 --> 00:53:53

source of pride for you. You shouldn't resent

00:53:53 --> 00:53:56

such people. Rather, you should see their their

00:53:56 --> 00:53:57

progress in Islam and you should be happy

00:53:57 --> 00:53:58

about it, alhamdulillah.

00:53:59 --> 00:54:01

That this is an honor that they how

00:54:01 --> 00:54:02

much honor they bring, this is how much

00:54:02 --> 00:54:04

more honor your your honor will increase as

00:54:04 --> 00:54:05

well.

00:54:05 --> 00:54:06

And

00:54:06 --> 00:54:08

Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said

00:54:09 --> 00:54:11

be him a deen. Allah, ta'ala, use such

00:54:11 --> 00:54:13

a people and he will assist and aid

00:54:13 --> 00:54:15

the deen through them.

00:54:15 --> 00:54:16

Don't let Shaiban

00:54:17 --> 00:54:19

make his wasawas between people and divide them.

00:54:19 --> 00:54:23

Rather, alhamdulillah, we're, we're we're people. We're different.

00:54:23 --> 00:54:24

All of us are different in our culture

00:54:24 --> 00:54:26

and in our tongue and in our habits

00:54:26 --> 00:54:28

and everything, but Allah brought us together for

00:54:28 --> 00:54:31

mutual benefit for one another. Don't listen to

00:54:31 --> 00:54:33

the person who speaks ill of the Arabs.

00:54:33 --> 00:54:34

Don't listen to the Arabi who speaks ill

00:54:34 --> 00:54:37

of the of the of the other nations

00:54:37 --> 00:54:39

of the earth. That's not that's not what

00:54:39 --> 00:54:40

this deen is about.

00:54:42 --> 00:54:44

Continuing that those are the people who are

00:54:44 --> 00:54:46

going to be the the

00:54:46 --> 00:54:48

the the ones who are there to aid

00:54:48 --> 00:54:50

the Imam Mahdi alayhis salam at the end

00:54:50 --> 00:54:51

of time.

00:54:51 --> 00:54:55

And Abdullahi, yani ibni misrudin radiAllahu ta'ala anhu.

00:54:55 --> 00:54:57

Can someone in the mixer just turn the

00:54:57 --> 00:54:59

gain a little bit down? Just so we

00:54:59 --> 00:55:01

don't get that Freddy Krueger effect in the

00:55:01 --> 00:55:02

back.

00:55:53 --> 00:55:56

And so this hadith is next set of

00:55:56 --> 00:55:56

hadith are,

00:55:58 --> 00:55:59

then narrated,

00:55:59 --> 00:56:01

I believe in, Abu Dawood.

00:56:03 --> 00:56:05

That JazakAllah Khairun for that.

00:56:06 --> 00:56:08

The next set of hadith are learned in

00:56:08 --> 00:56:09

Abu Dawl.

00:56:09 --> 00:56:10

That

00:56:14 --> 00:56:16

salamah radiAllahu ta'ala.

00:56:16 --> 00:56:17

No. No. I'm sorry.

00:56:18 --> 00:56:19

Where are we?

00:56:20 --> 00:56:21

There we go.

00:56:22 --> 00:56:24

'Abdulla bin Masood radiAllahu, one who narrates that

00:56:24 --> 00:56:25

the prophet said,

00:56:26 --> 00:56:27

even if

00:56:28 --> 00:56:30

the life of the duniya is completely gone

00:56:30 --> 00:56:31

and there's only one day left, So that

00:56:31 --> 00:56:32

day definitely,

00:56:33 --> 00:56:35

will not pass. Meaning, even if Allah needs

00:56:35 --> 00:56:37

to make it longer in order for this

00:56:37 --> 00:56:39

to happen, he'll do so. But that day

00:56:39 --> 00:56:40

will not pass until

00:56:40 --> 00:56:41

he,

00:56:41 --> 00:56:42

raises,

00:56:43 --> 00:56:45

in it, a man from me or in

00:56:45 --> 00:56:47

a narration from my family.

00:56:48 --> 00:56:50

His name will be my name. Meaning what?

00:56:50 --> 00:56:51

Muhammad

00:56:51 --> 00:56:53

alayhis salatu wa sama. And the name of

00:56:53 --> 00:56:55

his father will be the name of my

00:56:55 --> 00:56:57

father. Meaning he will also be Muhammad bin,

00:56:57 --> 00:56:58

'ibnu Abdillah.

00:56:59 --> 00:57:00

And then

00:57:00 --> 00:57:02

in the hadith of 1 of the narrators,

00:57:03 --> 00:57:05

it's mentioned the narration that he will fill

00:57:05 --> 00:57:06

the earth with justice

00:57:08 --> 00:57:11

and with fairness and with justice and fairness

00:57:11 --> 00:57:12

just like,

00:57:12 --> 00:57:15

the world is filled with transgression and with

00:57:15 --> 00:57:16

tyranny.

00:57:17 --> 00:57:18

In the hadith of Sufyan, uh-uh,

00:57:22 --> 00:57:22

says that,

00:57:23 --> 00:57:25

the dunya will not go away or it

00:57:25 --> 00:57:26

will not not

00:57:27 --> 00:57:28

expire until

00:57:28 --> 00:57:30

such a man will

00:57:30 --> 00:57:31

rule

00:57:31 --> 00:57:34

over the have sovereign authority over the Arabs

00:57:35 --> 00:57:37

from my family and his name will be

00:57:37 --> 00:57:38

my name.

00:57:52 --> 00:57:54

Ali radiAllahu who narrates it, the prophet sallallahu

00:57:54 --> 00:57:56

alaihi wa sallam said, even if there were

00:57:56 --> 00:57:57

only one day,

00:57:58 --> 00:58:00

from all of time, only one day left.

00:58:01 --> 00:58:02

Allah would indeed

00:58:03 --> 00:58:04

raise a man from my family,

00:58:05 --> 00:58:08

who would come and fill it with justice

00:58:08 --> 00:58:10

just like it was filled with tyranny.

00:58:14 --> 00:58:15

When

00:58:27 --> 00:58:27

sorry,

00:58:29 --> 00:58:31

it was narrated from her that she said,

00:58:31 --> 00:58:31

I heard the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi

00:58:31 --> 00:58:32

wa sallam

00:58:33 --> 00:58:35

say that the mandi will be from my

00:58:35 --> 00:58:37

family from the progeny of Fatima radiAllahu

00:58:38 --> 00:58:38

ta'ala anha.

00:58:43 --> 00:58:45

Al Mahdi yum minni.

00:58:45 --> 00:58:46

Ajmal jabhati.

00:58:47 --> 00:58:48

Akmal Anfi.

00:58:50 --> 00:58:52

Sayyid Abu Sayyid al Khudr radiAllahu anamunari. It's

00:58:52 --> 00:58:53

at the messenger

00:59:04 --> 00:59:05

a broad forehead,

00:59:06 --> 00:59:07

that it's not gonna be covered with hair,

00:59:07 --> 00:59:09

rather it will be a broad forehead,

00:59:15 --> 00:59:15

is

00:59:16 --> 00:59:18

when it describes the nose, it means something

00:59:18 --> 00:59:20

very particular that's a long nose

00:59:21 --> 00:59:23

that's thin. It's not a fat nose or

00:59:23 --> 00:59:24

a thick nose. It's a long nose that's

00:59:24 --> 00:59:27

thin but it has a high, bridge

00:59:27 --> 00:59:29

in it. There's a bit of a bridge

00:59:29 --> 00:59:30

in it near the top of the of

00:59:30 --> 00:59:32

the nose. So this is a physical description

00:59:33 --> 00:59:35

and this is a description that the commentators

00:59:35 --> 00:59:37

say was considered to be a sign of

00:59:37 --> 00:59:39

of handsomeness amongst the Arabs, meaning he's gonna

00:59:39 --> 00:59:41

be a handsome man. He's not going to

00:59:41 --> 00:59:43

be a man of of ugly countenance,

00:59:44 --> 00:59:46

unlike who? Unlike the Dajal who we'll talk

00:59:46 --> 00:59:48

about tomorrow. It'll be the opposite of him.

00:59:55 --> 00:59:57

That he will fill the earth with justice

00:59:57 --> 00:59:59

and fairness just as it was filled with

00:59:59 --> 01:00:01

tyranny and with transgression

01:00:01 --> 01:00:03

and he will rule for 7 years. And

01:00:03 --> 01:00:05

this is mentioned in this hadith.

01:00:05 --> 01:00:08

Now for those who wanted to, you know,

01:00:08 --> 01:00:09

hear

01:00:09 --> 01:00:11

a little bit more of a narrative, this

01:00:11 --> 01:00:13

hadith of Tirmidi is a bit of a

01:00:13 --> 01:00:14

narrative of how

01:00:15 --> 01:00:16

who okay. So we know that the Imam

01:00:16 --> 01:00:18

Mahdi, obviously, by this point is from the

01:00:18 --> 01:00:19

family of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

01:00:19 --> 01:00:20

Right?

01:00:21 --> 01:00:22

And we know

01:00:23 --> 01:00:25

that he will be a handsome man, and

01:00:25 --> 01:00:26

we know how long he's going to rule,

01:00:27 --> 01:00:29

And we know that he's going to come

01:00:29 --> 01:00:31

and things are gonna be really messed up

01:00:31 --> 01:00:33

and he's going to,

01:00:33 --> 01:00:34

straighten them out.

01:00:36 --> 01:00:39

Okay. So here's a narrative account narrative account

01:00:39 --> 01:00:41

from Sayedid Umsalama radiAllahu anha with regards to

01:00:41 --> 01:00:42

him.

01:01:09 --> 01:01:11

That what will happen is a a great

01:01:11 --> 01:01:12

ruler will die

01:01:13 --> 01:01:14

And

01:01:15 --> 01:01:16

successions

01:01:16 --> 01:01:18

are a time of strife.

01:01:19 --> 01:01:20

They're a time of uncertainty.

01:01:21 --> 01:01:23

One might say, well, like, you know, that's

01:01:23 --> 01:01:24

something in the Arab world, you know, that's

01:01:24 --> 01:01:26

something with Muslims, that's not here. We have,

01:01:26 --> 01:01:28

like, whatever. Okay. Well, now you saw the

01:01:28 --> 01:01:30

weird guy with half his face painted blue

01:01:30 --> 01:01:31

with, like, horns or whatever

01:01:32 --> 01:01:35

stealing Nancy Pelosi's laptop or whatever. Right? It's

01:01:35 --> 01:01:37

a problem. Succession is a problem.

01:01:40 --> 01:01:42

So what happens is that there'll be there'll

01:01:42 --> 01:01:44

be some some strife at the time of

01:01:44 --> 01:01:45

succession,

01:01:46 --> 01:01:48

And a man from Madinah Munawara,

01:01:49 --> 01:01:50

Zadahullah Wusharafan,

01:01:51 --> 01:01:53

he will he will flee from Madinah because

01:01:53 --> 01:01:55

he's he's he's gonna be a person that

01:01:55 --> 01:01:57

people respect and they'll come to him,

01:01:57 --> 01:01:59

like, to kinda, like, mediate this, and he's

01:01:59 --> 01:02:00

gonna wanna, like, not have any part of

01:02:00 --> 01:02:03

it. No involvement at all with it. So

01:02:03 --> 01:02:05

he'll flee from Medina and go to Makkah

01:02:05 --> 01:02:05

Bukarama.

01:02:06 --> 01:02:06

Right?

01:02:09 --> 01:02:11

Running away from God's fate

01:02:11 --> 01:02:12

right into God's faith.

01:02:14 --> 01:02:14

And,

01:02:15 --> 01:02:17

the people of Mecca will recognize him and

01:02:17 --> 01:02:19

they'll put him out into the spotlight in

01:02:19 --> 01:02:20

front of everybody

01:02:20 --> 01:02:22

Even though he he's like, no. I don't

01:02:22 --> 01:02:23

wanna I don't want this. You know, I

01:02:23 --> 01:02:24

don't wanna do

01:02:24 --> 01:02:26

this. And then they're going to,

01:02:27 --> 01:02:28

give him the oath of allegiance, meaning say

01:02:28 --> 01:02:30

that you're the one that that that we

01:02:30 --> 01:02:32

choose to rule after, after all of the

01:02:32 --> 01:02:34

succession, not any of the contenders. They're all

01:02:34 --> 01:02:37

jokers. You're the one we wanna follow.

01:02:37 --> 01:02:39

And they will all give him their oath

01:02:39 --> 01:02:39

of allegiance,

01:02:41 --> 01:02:43

between the black stone and between

01:02:45 --> 01:02:46

the, Maqam Ibrahim,

01:02:47 --> 01:02:49

meaning in the most sacred place in the

01:02:49 --> 01:02:50

entire Masjid Al Haram.

01:03:03 --> 01:03:04

And

01:03:04 --> 01:03:06

a army will be sent in order once

01:03:06 --> 01:03:08

this they find out this has happened, an

01:03:08 --> 01:03:09

army will be sent from the north

01:03:11 --> 01:03:13

in order to destroy in order to destroy

01:03:13 --> 01:03:15

him. Like, oh, look, you know, the you

01:03:15 --> 01:03:15

know, these,

01:03:16 --> 01:03:19

they're probably call them terrorists. Right? Because that's

01:03:19 --> 01:03:21

any Muslim you don't like is automatically terrorists,

01:03:21 --> 01:03:23

you know, and they have words for Hispanic

01:03:23 --> 01:03:25

people and for black people and for Native

01:03:25 --> 01:03:27

Americans and for, you know, all kinds of

01:03:27 --> 01:03:29

other people they don't like. But for for

01:03:29 --> 01:03:30

us, you know, they'll probably, yeah, we're gonna

01:03:30 --> 01:03:32

go get the terrorists. Okay, class. They're gonna

01:03:32 --> 01:03:34

come from the North in order to cut

01:03:34 --> 01:03:37

cut down these pious and righteous people,

01:03:38 --> 01:03:40

and the entire army will be swallowed up

01:03:40 --> 01:03:41

by the earth,

01:03:42 --> 01:03:44

in an open a part of open desert

01:03:44 --> 01:03:45

between

01:03:46 --> 01:03:49

between Makka and Madin al Munawara, between Makkamu

01:03:49 --> 01:03:50

Adham and Madin al Munawara.

01:03:50 --> 01:03:53

It's interesting the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi

01:03:53 --> 01:03:54

wa sallam describes this army that there will

01:03:54 --> 01:03:56

be people in it that are just there

01:03:56 --> 01:03:58

because of their hatred of deen, and there'll

01:03:58 --> 01:04:00

be people in it who are just there

01:04:00 --> 01:04:01

to do their job,

01:04:01 --> 01:04:03

and they don't think about, like, moral issues.

01:04:03 --> 01:04:05

And there'll be people in it that actually

01:04:05 --> 01:04:07

think that, like, this person must be a

01:04:07 --> 01:04:08

charlatan, like, how could he really be the

01:04:08 --> 01:04:10

Mahdi and we're just there to put down

01:04:10 --> 01:04:11

fitna. Because,

01:04:11 --> 01:04:12

you know, we've see all of us have

01:04:12 --> 01:04:14

seen like fakers and we're just we don't

01:04:14 --> 01:04:16

have any mood for that. Right? And the

01:04:16 --> 01:04:18

messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said

01:04:18 --> 01:04:19

he not all of them are gonna go

01:04:19 --> 01:04:20

to, like, Jannam.

01:04:21 --> 01:04:23

If a person participated in that army not

01:04:23 --> 01:04:25

knowing what was going on and with a

01:04:25 --> 01:04:28

good intention, Allah will give him that. And

01:04:28 --> 01:04:30

if a person was just doing their job,

01:04:30 --> 01:04:31

they're not going to be judged the same

01:04:31 --> 01:04:32

way as the person who did it out

01:04:32 --> 01:04:35

of hatred of Din. Everybody will be raised

01:04:35 --> 01:04:37

according to what their intention was but the

01:04:37 --> 01:04:38

point is that the army will be swallowed

01:04:38 --> 01:04:40

up. People will say, wow, maybe this is

01:04:40 --> 01:04:41

the actual Mehdi.

01:04:42 --> 01:04:44

Because the army getting swallowed up by the

01:04:44 --> 01:04:45

earth is kind of a big deal.

01:04:47 --> 01:04:47

At

01:04:50 --> 01:04:51

that time,

01:04:56 --> 01:04:56

This

01:04:57 --> 01:04:58

is a really interesting part of the hadith.

01:04:58 --> 01:05:00

It's a hadith of Tirmiddhi.

01:05:00 --> 01:05:00

Okay?

01:05:01 --> 01:05:02

This is a hadith of Tirmiddhi

01:05:03 --> 01:05:05

That at that time, the messenger of Allah

01:05:05 --> 01:05:07

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he mentions

01:05:07 --> 01:05:08

that,

01:05:09 --> 01:05:11

the Abdal of Sham will come to take

01:05:11 --> 01:05:13

Be'ah to give the oath of allegiance to,

01:05:14 --> 01:05:17

the Mahdi, alayhis salam, and the Asa Abu

01:05:17 --> 01:05:19

Ahlil Iraq will also do the same. Now

01:05:19 --> 01:05:21

who are the Abdal of Sham and who

01:05:21 --> 01:05:22

are the Asa'ibuhlil

01:05:22 --> 01:05:23

Iraq?

01:05:24 --> 01:05:26

These are two stations of wilayah of sainthood.

01:05:31 --> 01:05:32

People say, oh, man. We got him now.

01:05:32 --> 01:05:34

He's talking all this hadith now. He's talking

01:05:35 --> 01:05:37

this kind of weird hocus pocus Sufi stuff.

01:05:37 --> 01:05:39

Right? It's a hadith of Tirmidi.

01:05:39 --> 01:05:41

I tell you, you go look in look

01:05:41 --> 01:05:43

in the commentaries of the hadith of Tirmidi.

01:05:46 --> 01:05:48

Go look in the ancient commentaries, look in

01:05:48 --> 01:05:50

the middle of classical commentaries, and look in

01:05:50 --> 01:05:51

the later commentaries.

01:05:53 --> 01:05:55

There's another there's another,

01:05:56 --> 01:05:58

author in which he explains Someone asked for

01:05:58 --> 01:06:00

the Abdal al Sham.

01:06:01 --> 01:06:03

The word Abdallah is a plural of the

01:06:03 --> 01:06:05

word badal or badil or abdali.

01:06:06 --> 01:06:08

All three of those words give the meaning

01:06:08 --> 01:06:10

of what that when that there's an exchange

01:06:10 --> 01:06:12

going on. Says

01:06:13 --> 01:06:15

Nala mentions that these are such a people

01:06:15 --> 01:06:18

that they're stationed with Allah ta'ala. Allah gives

01:06:18 --> 01:06:19

them this station. It's not something you can

01:06:19 --> 01:06:21

do by like reading a lot of namaz

01:06:21 --> 01:06:23

or whatever. Right? By praying a lot and

01:06:23 --> 01:06:25

being real pious. Rather you pray and be

01:06:25 --> 01:06:27

pious. There there's certain people Allah picks them

01:06:27 --> 01:06:28

and He raises them into these stations

01:06:30 --> 01:06:31

and then when they get to that station,

01:06:31 --> 01:06:34

that person that person their duas become answered

01:06:35 --> 01:06:37

and they they are used by Allah Ta'ala

01:06:37 --> 01:06:38

for things

01:06:39 --> 01:06:41

in regards to the service of his deen

01:06:41 --> 01:06:43

that are that normal people don't have to

01:06:43 --> 01:06:44

fear from.

01:06:44 --> 01:06:47

And the reason that idea of Badalah exchange

01:06:47 --> 01:06:49

is there in the name is that whenever

01:06:49 --> 01:06:50

one of them dies,

01:06:50 --> 01:06:52

Allah Ta'al will raise another one into their

01:06:52 --> 01:06:54

maqam, into their station. And And this is

01:06:54 --> 01:06:55

if you look at the the footnote,

01:06:56 --> 01:06:57

right, there's a footnote

01:06:57 --> 01:06:58

at the end of the

01:06:59 --> 01:06:59

Yeah.

01:07:00 --> 01:07:01

Let's see.

01:07:01 --> 01:07:04

Yeah. Yeah. Okay. The second footnote over there.

01:07:04 --> 01:07:06

This is like Hafiz ibn Hajjar and like

01:07:06 --> 01:07:07

all these other people. There are authorities in

01:07:07 --> 01:07:09

hadith basically that are explaining what I'm saying

01:07:09 --> 01:07:10

right

01:07:10 --> 01:07:12

now. And so at any rate, the the

01:07:12 --> 01:07:13

the the the the the the the the

01:07:13 --> 01:07:14

the the the the the the the are

01:07:14 --> 01:07:14

these people

01:07:15 --> 01:07:17

and there's a certain number of them 40

01:07:17 --> 01:07:19

or 70 or whatever, you know, like there's

01:07:19 --> 01:07:20

a lot of detail to it. But the

01:07:20 --> 01:07:22

idea is that these these are who the

01:07:22 --> 01:07:23

people of the rasul, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,

01:07:23 --> 01:07:24

is referring to.

01:07:25 --> 01:07:26

And

01:07:26 --> 01:07:28

they are in the ummah right now as

01:07:28 --> 01:07:30

we speak and it's a form of madadah,

01:07:30 --> 01:07:32

it's a form of aid that Allah gives

01:07:32 --> 01:07:33

to the ummah that there are certain people

01:07:33 --> 01:07:34

who are given

01:07:35 --> 01:07:36

extra help,

01:07:37 --> 01:07:39

unnatural, supernatural help. You and me may not

01:07:39 --> 01:07:41

see them because we're, like, busy at the

01:07:41 --> 01:07:43

mall or whatever, right, Or watching kitty cat

01:07:43 --> 01:07:45

videos on YouTube or whatever.

01:07:45 --> 01:07:46

But they're there,

01:07:47 --> 01:07:49

and Islam didn't make it as far as

01:07:49 --> 01:07:51

it made made it just because, like, we

01:07:51 --> 01:07:53

throw really good fundraisers or because we have

01:07:53 --> 01:07:55

good like samosas at like our iftar parties.

01:07:56 --> 01:07:58

You know, there's some there's madad from Allah

01:07:58 --> 01:08:00

Ta'ala. This deen didn't reach all of the

01:08:00 --> 01:08:02

places it reached and it didn't survive all

01:08:02 --> 01:08:04

the trials and tribulations that survived without Allah's

01:08:04 --> 01:08:05

madad.

01:08:05 --> 01:08:07

And so the idea is what? Is that

01:08:07 --> 01:08:09

once that that army gets swallowed by the

01:08:09 --> 01:08:11

earth, all of these people will then themselves

01:08:11 --> 01:08:13

and it's not like they're gods, they're not

01:08:13 --> 01:08:15

like Superman, Marvel characters or whatever. They have

01:08:15 --> 01:08:18

madad but they're still also believers.

01:08:20 --> 01:08:22

That those abdaw will they'll come they'll come

01:08:22 --> 01:08:24

to, they'll see it. It will be clear

01:08:24 --> 01:08:26

as day that this is our guy and

01:08:26 --> 01:08:29

they'll come to take Be'a with him.

01:08:30 --> 01:08:32

And the the Asa'ib al Anil Iraq is

01:08:32 --> 01:08:34

those people of that Maqam of sainthood but

01:08:34 --> 01:08:35

from Iraq they're

01:08:36 --> 01:08:38

referred to a different name. Usbah is one

01:08:38 --> 01:08:40

of the meanings of Usbah is the best

01:08:40 --> 01:08:41

of a people. The Usbah of a Qom

01:08:41 --> 01:08:43

is the best of that Qom. That the

01:08:43 --> 01:08:45

oliya of Iraq are referred to on the

01:08:45 --> 01:08:47

tongue of prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam as the

01:08:47 --> 01:08:50

Asaid and the oliya of Misra are referred

01:08:50 --> 01:08:51

to as the Nujabah

01:08:52 --> 01:08:54

in a different in a different hadith. But

01:08:54 --> 01:08:56

this is something that amongst the Muslims wherever

01:08:56 --> 01:08:58

they are, Allah Ta' gives his mother. There

01:08:58 --> 01:09:00

are certain people who Allah gives a special

01:09:00 --> 01:09:02

help to. Insha'Allah, you find those people and

01:09:02 --> 01:09:04

you benefit from them. If it's one of

01:09:04 --> 01:09:06

you, insha'Allah, make du'a for me.

01:09:07 --> 01:09:07

They'll

01:09:08 --> 01:09:09

all come and they'll take the oath of

01:09:09 --> 01:09:11

allegiance with him.

01:09:21 --> 01:09:23

You always have haters from your own family.

01:09:23 --> 01:09:24

What are you gonna do? Right?

01:09:25 --> 01:09:27

If the Imam Mahdi isn't free from it,

01:09:27 --> 01:09:28

then what are you you and me gonna

01:09:28 --> 01:09:30

do? Right? Just gotta cope with it. So

01:09:30 --> 01:09:34

what happens is that the Rasul sallallahu alaihi

01:09:34 --> 01:09:36

wa sallam said at this point, somebody who

01:09:36 --> 01:09:38

who kind of is jealous of him or

01:09:38 --> 01:09:41

resents him from Quraysh, she'll himself be from

01:09:41 --> 01:09:42

Quraysh,

01:09:42 --> 01:09:44

but his maternal side of his family will

01:09:44 --> 01:09:45

be from the Kalb tribe.

01:09:46 --> 01:09:48

That he will call, his akhwal, he will

01:09:48 --> 01:09:50

call his maternal family basically to back him

01:09:50 --> 01:09:53

up. And 12 chieftains of the tribe of

01:09:53 --> 01:09:56

Kalb will will bring their contingents, their armies

01:09:56 --> 01:09:56

with them

01:09:57 --> 01:09:58

in order to fight fight them.

01:09:59 --> 01:10:01

And Allah will give him victory over over

01:10:01 --> 01:10:02

them as well.

01:10:03 --> 01:10:06

Over them as well. Right? Quraysh is the

01:10:06 --> 01:10:07

family of the prophet is also Quraysh. So

01:10:07 --> 01:10:09

all of Quraysh should be happy. Look, this

01:10:09 --> 01:10:10

is our guy, but

01:10:11 --> 01:10:12

sadly, that's not how that works.

01:10:13 --> 01:10:14

You and me, let's not be petty like

01:10:14 --> 01:10:15

that either. Right? When we see one of

01:10:15 --> 01:10:17

our relatives doing good, you know, even if

01:10:17 --> 01:10:18

they have some things that are not good

01:10:18 --> 01:10:20

about them or whatever, it may

01:10:21 --> 01:10:22

Make it better. Don't be a hater.

01:10:23 --> 01:10:24

Don't don't be don't be a don't be

01:10:24 --> 01:10:26

alligator. Don't don't do that. It's not it's

01:10:26 --> 01:10:27

not nice.

01:10:27 --> 01:10:28

So

01:10:35 --> 01:10:37

and during his rule, the people will,

01:10:38 --> 01:10:40

make amal. They will practice according to sunnah

01:10:40 --> 01:10:41

their Nabi sallallahu

01:10:41 --> 01:10:42

alaihi wa sallam.

01:10:48 --> 01:10:49

And this is an interesting,

01:10:50 --> 01:10:50

expression.

01:10:51 --> 01:10:52

The jaran is the

01:10:53 --> 01:10:55

the the front side of the neck. And

01:10:55 --> 01:10:57

so what happens is, like a camel, when

01:10:57 --> 01:10:58

it drinks and when it's relaxed,

01:10:59 --> 01:11:01

it will sit down and it will lay

01:11:01 --> 01:11:02

its neck,

01:11:02 --> 01:11:03

like, against

01:11:03 --> 01:11:04

the ground.

01:11:05 --> 01:11:07

So the point is that Islam will be

01:11:07 --> 01:11:09

in such a good condition that it if

01:11:09 --> 01:11:11

it was a camel, it would lay its

01:11:11 --> 01:11:12

like neck down and relax

01:11:14 --> 01:11:15

because of

01:11:15 --> 01:11:17

the all the khair that this Mahdi brings

01:11:17 --> 01:11:18

into the world.

01:11:19 --> 01:11:21

Again, it's not gonna be for free, there's

01:11:21 --> 01:11:23

like strife that happens. But once all those

01:11:23 --> 01:11:23

things clear up,

01:11:25 --> 01:11:27

the people will return to their deen and,

01:11:28 --> 01:11:30

the people of Islam will feel the the

01:11:30 --> 01:11:32

the goodness of of what that means.

01:11:39 --> 01:11:41

That he will rule for 7 years as

01:11:41 --> 01:11:43

was mentioned in the narration before and when

01:11:43 --> 01:11:45

he passes away the muslims will pray his

01:11:45 --> 01:11:46

janazah.

01:11:46 --> 01:11:48

So we have 3 more 3 more hadiths

01:11:48 --> 01:11:50

inshaAllah. If we have time we can have

01:11:50 --> 01:11:51

question and answer and if not then inshaAllah

01:11:51 --> 01:11:52

we can

01:11:53 --> 01:11:54

regroup for tomorrow.

01:12:35 --> 01:12:37

This is the last narration. These narrations are

01:12:37 --> 01:12:38

all from Abu Dawood.

01:12:39 --> 01:12:41

Abu Ishaq narrates from Ali radhiallahu anhu that

01:12:41 --> 01:12:42

he once looked at his son, Sayyid al

01:12:42 --> 01:12:44

Hassan radhiallahu anhu alaihi was salam.

01:12:45 --> 01:12:48

And he said that indeed, this son of

01:12:48 --> 01:12:49

mine is a Sayyid, he's a leader.

01:12:50 --> 01:12:52

And this is a reference to another hadith

01:12:52 --> 01:12:54

of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

01:12:54 --> 01:12:56

in which the Rasul sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

01:12:56 --> 01:12:57

Munsasidna

01:12:57 --> 01:12:59

al Hasan radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu playing.

01:13:01 --> 01:13:01

And he said,

01:13:02 --> 01:13:03

in nabnihadah

01:13:10 --> 01:13:12

That this son of mine is a leader

01:13:12 --> 01:13:13

and insha'Allah,

01:13:13 --> 01:13:15

it's my hope that and it's very likely

01:13:15 --> 01:13:17

that Allah, ta'ala, will use him to

01:13:18 --> 01:13:20

make reconciliation between 2 great groups of my

01:13:20 --> 01:13:22

umadat 5 that are

01:13:22 --> 01:13:24

opposed to each other. This is a reference

01:13:24 --> 01:13:27

prophecy of the Rasul sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

01:13:27 --> 01:13:29

that when Sayna Ali was

01:13:29 --> 01:13:32

assassinated and the people of Iraq took Be'a

01:13:32 --> 01:13:34

with Sayna al Hassan as Khalifa,

01:13:34 --> 01:13:37

He negotiated with Sayyid Al Mu'awiya and he

01:13:37 --> 01:13:38

gave up the Khalifa just so the civil

01:13:38 --> 01:13:39

war would end.

01:13:41 --> 01:13:43

And Sayyid Ali Allahu Han who called him

01:13:43 --> 01:13:45

a Sayyid, he says that just like your

01:13:45 --> 01:13:46

prophet salallahu alaihi wa sallam called him a

01:13:46 --> 01:13:47

Sayyid, he says I'm saying he's a Sayyid

01:13:47 --> 01:13:49

and I'll tell you something else as well.

01:13:49 --> 01:13:51

That it's from his from his,

01:13:52 --> 01:13:55

loins that the Mahdi will will will come.

01:13:55 --> 01:13:57

And the Olamah mentioned that this is as

01:13:57 --> 01:13:59

if he's saying it's a gift

01:14:00 --> 01:14:01

for him being

01:14:02 --> 01:14:04

solely faced and having no ego at all.

01:14:05 --> 01:14:07

That the hookahum was given to him and

01:14:07 --> 01:14:08

it was rightfully to make reconciliation between the

01:14:08 --> 01:14:10

Muslims. That this is this is a honor

01:14:10 --> 01:14:11

that he was he he's given by Allah

01:14:11 --> 01:14:12

to Allah, which is nice,

01:14:14 --> 01:14:16

That this is this is an honor that

01:14:16 --> 01:14:18

he was he's given by Allah ta'ala, which

01:14:18 --> 01:14:19

is nice. Right? Like,

01:14:19 --> 01:14:22

there are very few things that Allah is

01:14:22 --> 01:14:24

more pleased with than a person who

01:14:24 --> 01:14:26

goes between 2 people who are fighting and

01:14:26 --> 01:14:29

reconciles between them. And there are very few

01:14:29 --> 01:14:31

things more hateful to Allah than a person

01:14:31 --> 01:14:32

who causes 2 people to fight when they

01:14:32 --> 01:14:35

were they were okay before with one another.

01:14:35 --> 01:14:37

So that's something we can learn from it

01:14:37 --> 01:14:38

as well.

01:14:39 --> 01:14:39

But

01:14:40 --> 01:14:42

what happens, he says that he says,

01:14:44 --> 01:14:45

who says that,

01:14:45 --> 01:14:48

that from his loins will come forth

01:14:48 --> 01:14:50

a man who will be of the same

01:14:50 --> 01:14:52

name as your Nabi and he will he

01:14:52 --> 01:14:54

will be similar to your Nabi alaihis salaam

01:14:54 --> 01:14:55

in his character,

01:14:55 --> 01:14:57

even though he won't exactly look like him

01:14:57 --> 01:14:58

physically.

01:14:58 --> 01:15:00

And then he mentions

01:15:00 --> 01:15:02

a number of things, until mentioning that he

01:15:02 --> 01:15:04

will fill the earth with justice.

01:15:05 --> 01:15:07

And so I wanna I wanna you know,

01:15:07 --> 01:15:08

this is not like the point of this

01:15:08 --> 01:15:09

is not a sectarian

01:15:09 --> 01:15:11

rant or whatever, but I wanna point something

01:15:11 --> 01:15:13

out. People should know this, right.

01:15:15 --> 01:15:18

The that that call themselves the they

01:15:20 --> 01:15:20

they

01:15:22 --> 01:15:24

they believe almost all of them,

01:15:24 --> 01:15:25

believe what?

01:15:25 --> 01:15:27

That the Mahdi is from the line of

01:15:27 --> 01:15:28

saying that Hussein

01:15:30 --> 01:15:31

And here is

01:15:32 --> 01:15:34

a a a sound narration, which is what?

01:15:34 --> 01:15:36

That he's not going to be from the

01:15:36 --> 01:15:37

line of Sayyidina Husayn that the person they

01:15:37 --> 01:15:39

consider to be the Mahdi is not the

01:15:39 --> 01:15:39

Mahdi at all.

01:15:40 --> 01:15:42

That he's going to be from the lineage

01:15:42 --> 01:15:44

of Sayyidina Hasan radiwa ta'ala anhu. And this

01:15:44 --> 01:15:46

is something to keep in mind, not to

01:15:46 --> 01:15:47

get into fights with people, but I think

01:15:47 --> 01:15:49

oftentimes our people don't study our own

01:15:50 --> 01:15:53

literature well. And, the reason the reason that

01:15:53 --> 01:15:54

they consider the Mahdi to be from the

01:15:54 --> 01:15:56

line of Sayna Hussain is purely political

01:15:57 --> 01:15:59

because they're the people that they consider to

01:15:59 --> 01:16:00

be their political leadership,

01:16:01 --> 01:16:02

were not from that line.

01:16:03 --> 01:16:06

But the athar indicate that the Mahdi will

01:16:06 --> 01:16:06

be from the

01:16:16 --> 01:16:18

And that these political things were, introduced later

01:16:18 --> 01:16:20

on. But this is our belief that you'll

01:16:20 --> 01:16:23

be from the lineage of Sayyidun Hasan alayhi

01:16:59 --> 01:17:01

And and so this hadith is narrated by

01:17:01 --> 01:17:01

Chimili.

01:17:02 --> 01:17:03

That,

01:17:03 --> 01:17:04

Sinha

01:17:04 --> 01:17:05

Abu Sayedal

01:17:05 --> 01:17:08

Abu Sayedal Khudir radiAllahu anhu said that we

01:17:08 --> 01:17:09

were afraid,

01:17:10 --> 01:17:12

you know, that something shouldn't, like, kind of

01:17:12 --> 01:17:14

blindside us after the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa

01:17:14 --> 01:17:16

sallam leaves. So we started asking questions

01:17:17 --> 01:17:18

about what will happen later.

01:17:19 --> 01:17:22

And so, he said that the messenger of

01:17:22 --> 01:17:24

Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, indeed, in

01:17:24 --> 01:17:26

my ummah is the the Mahdi. The word

01:17:26 --> 01:17:28

Mahdi is has the same rudas, by the

01:17:28 --> 01:17:31

way, as the word, like, huda, hidayah, guidance.

01:17:31 --> 01:17:33

Mahdi is the one who's rightly guided or,

01:17:33 --> 01:17:35

like, fully and completely guided.

01:17:37 --> 01:17:39

That that that he says that indeed in

01:17:39 --> 01:17:40

my ummah will be, the Mahdi.

01:17:41 --> 01:17:43

An imam who's filled with guidance,

01:17:44 --> 01:17:46

he will, when he comes out, he'll live

01:17:46 --> 01:17:48

for 5, 7, or 9 years, and this

01:17:48 --> 01:17:50

is a doubt of the narrator. The narrator

01:17:50 --> 01:17:52

wanted to be honest and say I don't

01:17:52 --> 01:17:53

remember the number exactly. We know from the

01:17:53 --> 01:17:56

other narrations that it's probably 7. But this

01:17:56 --> 01:17:57

is the amount of hadith is that if

01:17:57 --> 01:17:59

you don't know or if you don't remember,

01:17:59 --> 01:18:01

you just admit, you know, that I don't

01:18:01 --> 01:18:03

know I don't know exactly. I'm my memory

01:18:03 --> 01:18:04

is shaky in this matter.

01:18:05 --> 01:18:07

And we said, what what does that mean?

01:18:07 --> 01:18:08

Meaning what are these 579?

01:18:10 --> 01:18:11

He said

01:18:12 --> 01:18:13

meaning years.

01:18:14 --> 01:18:15

These are years that I'm mentioning.

01:18:16 --> 01:18:16

And,

01:18:17 --> 01:18:18

a man will come to him and say,

01:18:18 --> 01:18:19

oh Mahdi,

01:18:19 --> 01:18:21

give me give me. Meaning he needs he

01:18:21 --> 01:18:24

asked for, like, for for for assistance, for

01:18:24 --> 01:18:25

monetary assistance.

01:18:26 --> 01:18:29

And, he will he will give to him.

01:18:29 --> 01:18:30

He'll fill his, like, you know, like a

01:18:30 --> 01:18:31

person has

01:18:32 --> 01:18:33

the the, like, the, the

01:18:35 --> 01:18:36

well, how would you say this in English?

01:18:40 --> 01:18:42

Right. The the the front of their their

01:18:42 --> 01:18:44

their their garber, their tunic, that they would

01:18:44 --> 01:18:46

be able to fill it up and carry

01:18:46 --> 01:18:48

more wealth than they're able to carry, which

01:18:48 --> 01:18:49

is a lot of wealth.

01:18:49 --> 01:18:51

It's a lot of wealth. And it also

01:18:51 --> 01:18:53

indicates it may not be Bitcoin or NFTs,

01:18:53 --> 01:18:55

but I'm not gonna I'm not gonna get

01:18:55 --> 01:18:56

into that right now.

01:18:57 --> 01:18:58

Everyone feel free to jump me on the

01:18:58 --> 01:18:59

way to the car after the program.

01:19:02 --> 01:19:02

So,

01:19:03 --> 01:19:05

he'll give him as much as as much

01:19:05 --> 01:19:06

as he's able to carry. Meaning what?

01:19:08 --> 01:19:10

That with the guidance and with the amal

01:19:10 --> 01:19:12

and the sunnah, Allah Ta'al will restore Baraka,

01:19:12 --> 01:19:14

which is what happens whenever people take the

01:19:14 --> 01:19:15

path of righteousness.

01:19:34 --> 01:19:36

And this is the last hadith and,

01:19:37 --> 01:19:38

it reiterates and reemphasizes

01:19:38 --> 01:19:40

those things that we mentioned from before.

01:19:41 --> 01:19:42

That the

01:19:42 --> 01:19:43

last day,

01:19:43 --> 01:19:45

will or the last hour will not be

01:19:45 --> 01:19:49

established until the earth is filled with transgression

01:19:49 --> 01:19:50

and with enmity.

01:19:51 --> 01:19:53

And people just enemies of one another, a

01:19:53 --> 01:19:54

transgression and with enmity,

01:19:55 --> 01:19:57

then a man will come out from my

01:19:57 --> 01:19:57

family

01:19:58 --> 01:20:00

and he will fill it

01:20:01 --> 01:20:02

with justice and with fairness

01:20:03 --> 01:20:04

just as it was filled with,

01:20:05 --> 01:20:06

transgression and with enmity.

01:20:07 --> 01:20:10

And so this is a setup for tomorrow.

01:20:11 --> 01:20:12

And the

01:20:13 --> 01:20:14

kind of

01:20:14 --> 01:20:17

spoiler is what is that the dajjal, that

01:20:17 --> 01:20:19

this year, this period of time in which

01:20:19 --> 01:20:20

there is

01:20:21 --> 01:20:24

justice and there is goodness in the earth.

01:20:24 --> 01:20:26

It's a limited time.

01:20:26 --> 01:20:28

Allah helps the Ummar

01:20:28 --> 01:20:30

basically pull itself together,

01:20:31 --> 01:20:33

so that when the Dajjal comes it doesn't

01:20:34 --> 01:20:35

scatter it.

01:20:35 --> 01:20:37

They're somewhat prepared, they're pulled together, and they're

01:20:37 --> 01:20:40

able to, like, regroup with one another and

01:20:40 --> 01:20:40

face that

01:20:41 --> 01:20:44

face that fitna. But before the Mahdi passes

01:20:44 --> 01:20:45

away, the dajjal will be raised,

01:20:46 --> 01:20:48

which was described by the Messenger of Allah

01:20:48 --> 01:20:49

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

01:20:50 --> 01:20:52

as the the, sharu fitnatinyun talarw, the most

01:20:52 --> 01:20:56

evil tribulation that anyone has ever, anticipated.

01:20:57 --> 01:20:59

And, you know, we'll talk about him in

01:20:59 --> 01:21:00

detail tomorrow.

01:21:01 --> 01:21:03

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala reward you for listening

01:21:03 --> 01:21:05

carefully. Like I said, I tried not to

01:21:05 --> 01:21:07

make this into, like, the whole story book,

01:21:07 --> 01:21:09

yell and scream thing, but to give you

01:21:09 --> 01:21:11

the information straight from the books of hadith,

01:21:11 --> 01:21:13

the reputable books of hadith, and merely to

01:21:13 --> 01:21:16

explain what's what's there. And those things I

01:21:16 --> 01:21:17

know that people are gonna have a hard

01:21:17 --> 01:21:19

time digesting. I gave the references as well

01:21:19 --> 01:21:21

if somebody needs the notes. I haven't translated

01:21:21 --> 01:21:23

this today's portion yet. Tomorrow's portion, most of

01:21:23 --> 01:21:25

it is translated, so I can share those

01:21:25 --> 01:21:26

as well.

01:21:27 --> 01:21:29

But I wanted to give these things to

01:21:29 --> 01:21:30

you so you can think about them. What

01:21:30 --> 01:21:32

does this mean and how close are we

01:21:32 --> 01:21:34

to that era? You know, the things we

01:21:34 --> 01:21:36

mentioned in the beginning of tonight's talk, How

01:21:36 --> 01:21:38

much do you does it seem to describe

01:21:38 --> 01:21:40

the the time and the age that we

01:21:40 --> 01:21:40

live in?

01:21:41 --> 01:21:41

And,

01:21:42 --> 01:21:42

you know,

01:21:43 --> 01:21:45

you know, what does what does all of

01:21:45 --> 01:21:47

this mean, so that we don't get caught,

01:21:47 --> 01:21:48

by all of these things unaware?

01:21:49 --> 01:21:50

Because the people who study and the people

01:21:50 --> 01:21:52

who have the knowledge, Rasuulullah

01:21:53 --> 01:21:55

gave us all the answers to the exam

01:21:55 --> 01:21:56

ahead of time.

01:21:56 --> 01:21:58

If we then get caught unaware and unprepared,

01:21:58 --> 01:22:00

and we failed the exam anyway, we have

01:22:00 --> 01:22:01

really no one to blame but ourselves.

01:22:02 --> 01:22:04

But alhamdulillah, mashallah barak to all of you

01:22:04 --> 01:22:05

gathered here to hear

01:22:06 --> 01:22:08

what the Rasul salallahu alayhi wasalam had to

01:22:08 --> 01:22:10

say about these things. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

01:22:10 --> 01:22:11

make it a source of barakah, and Allah

01:22:11 --> 01:22:13

ta'ala push away fitna,

01:22:13 --> 01:22:15

from us and from our families and from

01:22:15 --> 01:22:17

our children, and, give us a tawfiq to,

01:22:18 --> 01:22:19

live according to the sunnah of the prophet

01:22:19 --> 01:22:21

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, and

01:22:22 --> 01:22:24

always with our tongues moist and our lips

01:22:24 --> 01:22:27

moist with the dhikr of Allah ta'ala,

01:22:28 --> 01:22:31

MusallAllahu ta'ala, or rasulhissaidu Muhammaduallaahu

01:22:31 --> 01:22:31

Sa'bihajmain.
