smilla hamdu lillahi wa salatu salam ala rasulillah about cinematic manipulate the respective brothers and sisters. First and foremost, I would like to thank our guest, actually is not a guest. He's well known here in our community Hafiz hickmott Mashallah, he is one of our you know, fan favorites here in the Milton community. May Allah subhanaw taala bless you and your family. We thank you for your beautiful recitation today. Of these beautiful verses in which Allah subhana wa tada in the end mentions about the people of Jenna.
And I ask Allah subhana wa Taala, during this blessing month, to make us all from the people of Jenna, to gift us with all these gifts, as we heard in the translation, in the Hereafter, in the best place that we could be in gender and gender to fear those I mean era but I mean,
today, I just want to share with you something
a little bit different. I call it the elephant in the room.
And that is we know for the past 15 months, it's been a roller coaster of lockdown, after lockdown
restrictions, things that we are not able to do, we want to do.
But Allah subhanaw taala is saying this and he knows and he will reward us for our patients. Now a lot of people are going through tough times, emotionally, mentally, and that is the elephant in the room is that no one's really talking about this much is how people are feeling mentally. And no one's immune to it. Even the prophets love it was some went through phases of depression, where he was sad. And so if the prophets Allah while Islam and the prophets went through this, then we are we are nobody we are down to go through something like this. So kind of feelings. But I want to share one story at the time of the Prophet love it was sending him when he entered into the masjid.
And it was at a time when there was no prayer going on hobbie by the name of Abu Mama, and he was sitting in the masjid by itself. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam entered and he asked him Oh Abu Amanda, what are you what are you doing here by yourself and it is not even the time
Prepare between the horn officer between federal.
So no prayer going on he was sitting by himself. So with your loved one, he said to the Prophet, love Hollywood cinema prophet of Allah.
I am worried.
I'm sitting here because I'm worried. I have these negative thoughts and I have been overburdened by debt.
The Prophet sallallahu wasallam said to him, or above Ma'am, I tell you
to recite a certain few words, Allah subhana wa tada will take away this, these emotions and these thoughts and these feelings that you're facing. So what is this to either the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam asked him to recite so he said, recite this in the morning and in the evening to do it's very important that we should memorize it. And we should recite daily so that we feel we feel good this is prescribed by the prophet sallallahu wasallam this too, is Allahumma inni are all the bigger middle homies. But hasn't that all protect us from harm? And hasn't neg lots and lots of 100,000 Quran try to refrain from thinking about different things because thoughts, they go in the
negative dark into the negative direction, it becomes like a series of unfortunate events, we start thinking negative and things start to move in that direction. But if we think positive, inshallah things will start to look up. So Allah please protect us from negative thoughts, and from beef
will hazard while RDC will castle from becoming hopeless, and becoming lazy. from becoming hopeless and from becoming lazy. When we have next thoughts will start to become hopeless, then we don't want to make an effort to become lazy.
While it will cast while Jubilee will buckle, and then we start to become afraid of things that are not really affecting us. So the next part will be the new album is all this from cowardice from becoming afraid and becoming a coward? Well buckle and protect us from coming miserly. When we've been afraid, we start to hold on to things that we love. And when the call comes to give, when there is a need to give, we want to hold back because we're trying to protect ourselves. So, protect us from coward and from miserliness. wahala back to Daniel kohara region. And the worst case is that we become we are overcome with debt. When we stop giving, then Allah subhanaw taala stops giving and
what happens we go into that
and what happens
then, the people they come and they overpower us and they are to to to harm us and to do you know, when we owe somebody money and we cannot repay them, but will they come they will come and they will try to get it out from us forcefully and put us into misery. So, the last thing we ask Allah subhanaw taala to protect us from
debt and from the rest of the people. So this is a very very important too. I was I will say it one more time. I love my arrows are becoming hanmi while hasn't while I dizzy while castle, while Germany will burn. Well what about it Daniel Powter region, if we recite this in the morning one time and we recite it in the evening one time inshallah Allah subhana wa tada will protect us from all of these things. I mean, out of blood, I mean, is very, very easy to just you can Google Drive. Again, for protection from brief and fill them up right away, memorize this inshallah until this lockdown until things go back to normal.
Hopefully did and read it with conviction. Read it with sincerity, even if you cannot memorize it, at least you know the meaning said in your own language. Allah subhanaw taala knows what you're asking for. And Allah subhana wa tada will give it to you and give it to us inshallah does akmola here for letting me share I will pass it on to our esteemed shield to say a few more words so that modic moratalla whoever okay.
Drop the paper scissors
ready to go first?
wa salatu salam ala rasulillah salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi
wa barakaatuh so my dear brothers.
Tonight is the night
the night of the 22nd
I've heard a lot of people saying that this Ramadan 2021 gone so fast
this Ramadan has gone so fast
Well, it is not that it has gone so fast Ramadan is Ramadan
but what is there is actually a Hadith of the Prophet Mohammed is of Sudan that there will come a time where a year will become like a month and a month would become like a week it will become like a Friday and a Friday would become like an hour.
an hour become like committed to anytime we feel like it's, you know, it flies. But what has happened mothers and sisters is that Subhan Allah Allah azza wa jal has taken the Baraka from time,
especially from those who are not taking advantage, leveraging You know, this, know the time that they've been given to, to do something good.
So, this is how they feel like there's no backup in the time where as Subhan Allah, if you're busy doing things that will come of benefit for you and for your environment.
Eliza will put Baraka in time, so
it is an and, and normal Don is Ramadan, and before it was Shabana, and after it will come sure well, and then you have the advantage is that time is time. It's all about the biker. So my brothers and sisters, we still have this opportunity we've been making for allows us to make us witness the last 10 years of Ramadan. And now the last odd nights of Ramadan, and tonight could be that very precious night that everybody is looking for. And seeking out the night of the power lay little puddle as we mentioned, today's Higher, higher, better. Not it is 1000 months. And then we talked about 1000 and white 1000 because the Sahara they did not no more than elf salt is elf is this very
famous Hadith, which I'm thinking it's authenticity that is a weakness but a lot of people know it the Hadith of the daughter of going to the markets you know whoever goes to the markets and say that I have a low head the whole the whole milk hello hello hello Krishna Paddy. Allah says it will give an elf elf has an app and wipe off elf elf say and increase him
so elf elf 1000 1000 1000 because the Sahaba did not know you know a million or what so higher tonight is higher you know higher yom if it is that night which could be inshallah huhtala Laila sisters I want to share with you when I was reviewing
today it's so hot
and I was living with it. And I pounder then I'd like you to ponder with me on this I insert the bucket Allah subhanho wa Taala says, By the will administer Papa Jean. Yeah, Johan. Nadine.
Yeah, are you heading
over the Massoud says whenever you hear Yeah, you have the mo aceveda has a Mac give it your ears. All you who believe oh you will believe and Allah is not just talking to the Sahaba This is there is a message coming from Allah it has something to do or something to refrain from all you who believed
for me, I
mean probably I
mean probably a
biography he went up on Latin
world cafe Luna Homer badimo all you who believe and feel called minmetals number one and vehicle give charity and vehicle spend from that which we have given to you. Me models are gonna come so the word that you have is not yours. And manomav Allah, it is it belongs to Allah. So Allah has given it to you and he's saying and Philco mimma was gonna come from that we have which we have given to you
what would happen if I don't mean probably a to do before a day with a lab a fee?
lab there will be no bargaining in it bear with me couple you know how we'll have two meanings. Bear in Arabic means some sort of you know, business transaction bear with Shira, you buy and you sell though Allah says lab Bayer on fee there is no business transaction in it. Also it means in Arabic. Yeah, beer. You know he wants to sell all everything. He
He owns to save himself. You know, I will sell my family I'm willing to save everything just so I can save myself. So Allah is saying, Give from that which we have given to you before a day will come
when there will be there
will come to your benefit, no beer no business transactions and not on top products. You cannot swing those properties or sell your wares or sell whatever just to save yourself nadvi unfi
Allah subhanho wa Taala also says
yo maya film on the moment he will only he will he was so happy to have any liquid eliminate Min homeodomain Shannon Yo Honey that they want a man will flee from his brother he will flee from his spouse from his father from his mother from his spouse nobody will come to your benefit that day I was talking about the agent
labor your own fee when our hola when a hola hola What does it mean?
And hola it is derived from a highly or highly highly highly highly means it is not my it's more than my beloved it is not it's more than my sahab sir having Arabic although although although you say sub sub in Arabic Sahib friends, right. Okay is above a friend. A friend would be somebody goes to school with me is my friend. You know he goes to school with me when somebody I only met his my friend, but my highly my highly chef, they find a Halle chef. They're always my honey and you My beloved. You know
he says and my mother has gotten
a whole lot of salad when you say hola it is the highest form of love. Oh Holly. Oh, Allah. Oh, I do I do.
In the unmute right. Hello yo Madan
Illa Allah tappin Allah Allah azza wa jal says that even those who love one another, they will be is on the Day of Judgment except the motorcade the rights because that day everybody would want to save themselves. Everybody say myself myself, including the Prophet Subhana Allah. So Allah is saying give from that which we have given to you before a day comes to you before they comes to you where there is no business you cannot sell anything to save yourself more your friend Your beloved your hair you can even your family cannot help you.
When a chef
not can intercede I know that read I know that friend I know that but I know him I know that I can interest you know, what does she except with the permission of Allah. So what is the way out a lysine and fickle give? That's what will save you from that tournament of that day. Yo move the AMA.
And what do you love? Let me ask you, what do you love the most? From this dunya
I cannot hear you
What do you love if you love money, don't you
love that means money wealth cars, money we all love money but in our children, children I have children here hi we can get children by it. Okay, here's children are going to do with the children, his children, you need the money to feed them. So we all love money, whether you like it or not, we all love money. I asked Allah to put it in our hands but not in our hearts. But everybody loves money, a lysine leard
You want to get what you love. Allah says you shall not attain bill and you know in Arabic You say bill you got translated into English, it does not give it a very good translate. It does not really give justice to the world bill, bill, bill to do it, then goodness to the parents. Bill is like all good. So am I saying you cannot attain and you will not attain good and what is good, good Yeah. And anything.
guidance is is you know is good from Allah zosen success in this life, that success in the Hereafter,
protection, acceptance of your Doha, this is all higher. annville So Allah is saying, You shall not attain bear
until you see from that which you love. And that's why I asked you what do you love the most? Like despise predecessor, he was sick at home and a poor man knocked at the door. And they and he says Who? So the servant came in. She says the maid she has a
disk teen floppy floppy Dino is a poor man asking for some charity. So he says the famous halwa give him a Hello Yo, everybody knows how to even and all those Halloween or Halloween hell yeah and although they say hello as well hello, you know like sweet give him sweet that made said we have some capital because you love sweet and we kept you he says give him that which I love the most. So Allah can give me she
so Allah can give me Shiva gave him that which I love the most. So Allah is saying you not attain fail bill and sell spend from that which you love. You love money so you love chef you'd have children can you give children that you cannot give children stuff it is money?
Or maybe you want it I don't know
take them take them Second Life
inshallah I'm trying to tell you my brother's tonight is the night some of you may say well I've donated collars lap donate again tonight The night is the night of the 27th
and most likely it is the latter part of inshallah hotel. And the angels are surrounding us right now. If Allah was to remove this partition between us and the rape between us and then scene one life fate will lie he will will faint this place that is filled with angels today it is packed with angels
wherever you are because the issue is around going around
by is your video
so if they want to find you doing something good and the best and I will end with this brothers and sisters the best a bet that you could do tonight really sad. You may ask why ask me why share
why exactly I'll tell you why. Because a lot of our a bad debt complete you may pray or we're praying but you're sought out do you know do you guarantee a load accepted from you
and think Allah will accept everything from hope we pray we pray you do you think Allah would accept that maybe there's something incomplete as sadaqa completes that which is incomplete
you understand why the best anybody can do now of course it's an undercurrent all that is complement that with Southern so that you give it in a golden platter. He has a bad that you're given Tomas Pena with in a golden platter with a saddle to complete it in shop. But don't give five or one or two or 10 maybe it's okay. But we want 1000 more
inshallah you can do that. Allah gives you more, why do you give less
than give more? Why should you give more, because the more you give, the more Allah gives you back. This is the idea. He said it's a formula. It works like this. It's a formula I was trying to tell, the more you give, the more you get back into metal I bless you may have like set from you May Allah make this night. Then that what we all are seeking as a sphere as a salvation from an O for all of us from f5 insha Allah Allah and to gratis filled us to Allah through the door, the gate of Babel sada the gate of charity in Jana in sha Allah and mean I mean, is that Kamala hair follicle Luffy come
smilla rahmanir rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam ala Anna v Hill Karim Ali of total Sala to autometer slim B Shockley Sabri Sidley Emery lock letter melissani of Coco Lee, my brothers and my sisters said Mr. La, he will not occur to. So to be honest, I've been thinking for the last 37 days what exactly I'm going to be talking about tonight. And for the last few minutes, I've been there gathering the thoughts in my head around what I had planned to talk about. And some of the things that I want to attend to that were mentioned already and even recited earlier.
So I thought to myself, why not share some of the importance of this mustard? why not share some of the lessons that you may not hear of all time,
benefits that our kitty has attained from the masjid. And I remember earlier today, I was talking to Brother Ahmed Hussein, one of our teachers for the Waianae hour, you
problem. And I was telling him I said what there's so many success stories. There's a there was there was one of one of the girls who attends our classes here. And handblown, we were attending, we had 232 students, that was the largest number we had attending. In our mustard that handle law, which grew from the initial, I'm not mistaken, it was something around 16 or 20 students the very first semester back in the end of December, November, December 2018. So from November, December to 2018, up until the last semester we had, which was just about a year ago, when we finish just before we move on last year, we had 232 Youth attending in person and continued our classes, online, you
know, throughout this entire pandemic. And in addition to that, with extra semesters, like in the summer months, when we usually give the students off from the mustard classes, you know, Alhamdulillah, we added the summer semester as well. And a success story that I wanted to share with you that I shared with you know, our brother was saying earlier today
is a girl who attended our class, and us to drop her off. And this is a teenage girl, her mom used to drop her off, tell her go and learn from the shape of take from me because I don't know Islam. So her mom would drop her off every Saturday and Sunday to come for the classes. And her mom would tell her go and learn from from the get go and learn from him again, learn from doubt, because I don't know Islam. So don't don't take it from me.
And the girl was telling me she spends her entire day on Instagram, all she does is take pictures of things and then edit it and post it up. And you know, that's really what she spends her time with. And she says Mom, you know, she spent a lot of her time you know, just taking pictures of herself right posting selfie pictures of own self. If she continuously tells the daughter don't learn from me go and learn from the mom right go and learn the teachers at the mustard. Now as you need to play our part right we need to share in educating our children is that maybe and so as parents we'll handle that what we did is we designed classes and courses to run hear from them or the entire
family but specifically for the parents so that the parent can educate themselves on Islam and and share it with their children. So this teenage girl, what she does is at the end of the semester, she didn't used to wear hijab, she only used to put on hijab to come to the masjid. And then she would take it off outside of the masjid. And her mom used to tell her I thought you're learning about this. I thought you're learning about Islam. I thought you should be wearing cub by now. Because, you know, you go to the masjid, you're supposed to wear hijab. And she says, I told my mom, if you don't wear hijab, why are you expecting me to wear it.
And then they had this argument and fast forward a few weeks later. In fact, a couple of months later, that's a teenage girl, she realized I don't wear my job because my mama hijab, I wear it because Allah subhanho wa Taala is pleased with me when I wear that when I submit some panel that I had. And she started to change route. That's that's the beginning.
Another example, we have a student, so how to love who still comes to this Masjid, she's in university, city now. She said, I never used to pray in our favor. We wanted we just pray. And there was one that Ramadan is about four years ago, four or five years ago, one Ramadan, where I was standing on the middle of the congregation, and she says, You know what doubted you, you told us just practice one thing, just do one thing throughout this entire month of Ramadan. And she says if I'm able to wake up for school to eat food every single day, then I should be able to wake up for fudger. Because if I could do that for 30 days for the sake of food, then I shouldn't be able to
wake up for budget every day. And she says she made it a point and a promise for herself to wake up for Salatu fudger every single day, throughout the month of Ramadan. And this was about a year ago, she made the story. She says I haven't missed a fudger up until today. And she says I haven't missed a prayer. I pray all my prayers. And she says you know what? My parents started praying their prayers as well. And you know, it's really interesting.
The parents came to the masjid one day when there was a, you know, a janazah. And the families were getting together. And the father comes to me and he says it's because of what you said. And because of what our daughter did, she started to pray a lot to budget and she started to pray her regular prayers that we as the parents realized we have to pray as well. He said, it's because of our child, our daughter who hamdulillah at the time was I think 16 or 17 years old. She started to establish her prayers so that parents started to establish their prayers. That's another success story to mustard and we can go on and on and on. You know, what the mustard provides for us is a sense of
community. And I give you a simple example chef Lawson Hello. Bless him and his family.
Protect him and keep him safe upon Islam and human, always
analytical data as well, but the stories of
shareholders like I'm hearing
back to childhood so I, he can pull my ears if I step out of line, but shefali Allah Subhana Allah, you know, the sense of community. My father a year ago, last year, January had open heart surgery, right he had a quintuple bypass surgery in Montreal. She was doing a program in Montreal.
I was there. And I think Montreal to come back because I had to be here for Juma. So I left and I came back and the other was Montreal. And my mom and my dad called me from the hospital and they said you share for the yard from your Masjid came to visit my dad in the hospital in Montreal. And I thought to myself Subhanallah that's a committee like that's what the masjid does the mustard connects the hearts of people who don't really know each other, but for the sake of Allah Subhana, which Allah they go out of their way for no benefit? Share, I'm pretty sure didn't benefit from anything, no financial benefit, probably pay for parking, which I didn't reimburse you. All right,
you know, took his time out of his day while he was traveling as a traveler, as a traveler to go into visit, you know, my father in the hospital. Again, another example of the community. So my brothers and sisters
can give you example, upon arrival, we have, you know, singers who show up at the door sometimes and say I have nowhere to go, they have nowhere to go. They're facing, you know, domestic violence, domestic abuse. And so we'll handle how we connect them with certain places outlets where they can go and benefit from sometimes we even have to come in a hotel ourselves, just pay for the hotel, put them in a hotel, get them some safety, some protection, some you know some time on their own, and then they'll handle out you know, space open one of the shelters then we will work that out and sorted out. So my brothers and sisters Don't underestimate the work that comes from the mustard you
may not see it, but there will be a day that you or someone you know of is in need of the services of the masjid. And you can probably remember back in the day and I know uncle Jabbar is sitting over there and he told me the story of back in a when the mustard was first acquired, and how you heard there was like a string hanging across with just sheets hanging right just to make a little bit of a space for the brothers and the sisters. And then you know the buddies in the gym with the youth Alhamdulillah and look at where we are today. Look at how far we've come and that doesn't mean that we are where we want to be. We are where we're going. We're going, going somewhere else inshallah
we're on board somewhere else. So my brothers and sisters, I want to encourage every single one of us, myself included, you know tonight is his 27th Night of the month of Ramadan. Allah Subhana Allah Allah to make this a blessing night and the night of power the night of will cuddle
it's also a time where we need to give for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala that Jeffrey out earlier y'all may have federal amin he won't me he will be what Sahiba tea he will have any liquid limited him in whom yoga isn't shutting on yagni every single person on the day of judgment will be saying enough, see enough See, right people will you go to you go to you go to your father, you go to your mother, you go to your children, you go to your spouse, you go to people looks after you in this world, your mother who always changed your diaper. And even if at this age, if I became ill like that a lot if one of us became ill in an older age, let's say we were 30 or 40 years old, and
our mother was still alive. And we had to wear diapers in our 40s guaranteed our mother would still change our diapers. Right?
guaranteed she would still do these things for us. But on the Day of Judgment, we'll go to our mother asking for a single good deed.
Father, spouse, children who would do everything in anything for us in this dunya on that day, they wouldn't give us a deed not one.
Not one, which means there has to be some effort that we do on our own. There has to be some sort of goodness that we strive for on our own. And tonight is that night that iccm opens its doors to allow us to do that.
You see it up there in front of you on the screens. Data is there for donations. You visit the mustard website, you can donate and for those of you that want to come I think we still have meals we have meals sponsored by Paramount Alhamdulillah
you know for the first 200 people that show up at the MCC, you know drive through donations. They're getting a meal from Paramount find some of my brothers and sisters. The volunteers will still be outside for another hour until 1130 you have the opportunity now to jump in cars. For those of you
That that want to come and donate in person, those of you that are in the comfort of your home Alhamdulillah we know it's a pandemic, so I'm not going to force or encourage anyone to come out but to remember when you come to the house of Allah Subhana, which Allah has a little more of an effect on you. You see the masjid, you want to give? How many times do we get in our car and drive to the grocery store? Or go to work? Or go to drop something off somewhere or go to a store, pick something up? How many times we just get in our car and drive around often? Because we're just tired of being at home.
How many times have we got into our cars, and driven over?
Just for the sake of coming closer to the house of Allah hanway
to even feel the walls, you know how it will go to the Kaaba and they put their hands on the wall, right? You put their hands on the wall of the Kaaba. And they even though it's not something of the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, but they still go to it and they feel like they want to get as close to a loss of Hanwha talent as possible. And they don't know how to do it. And this is why they come close, but my brothers and sisters come close to the house of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Instead of going where there's shovel and evil, why not come to where there's height and goodness. It's the house of a loss of hanaway to add a place where only Allah subhana wa Taala is
worshipped. And so tonight, we request and we ask humbly to find it somewhere within your heart, as you know, shackled I was mentioning earlier, you know, we need to purify ourselves. Find it within yourself, purify your heart. Don't be scared, don't be shy.
COVID-19 Wallonia zanoni Allah subhanho wa Taala blesses believers, those who truly believe in Allah subhanho wa Taala, you have no fear, and no worry, no anxiety, no stress.
The $1,000 you're going to pledge tonight,
when you give for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Allah makes a way out for you. And he provides you with more from places you can't even imagine. So my brothers and sisters, we the $1,000 pledge. And we also request that you return those that Ramadan sprint does. It's the 27th night for those of you who want to keep it until the 29th ninth or 30th nights Bismillah you know, we encourage you to do that if your family is on a roll of hamdulillah you know, we're not going to stop you. But those of you who feel like you know what, I haven't put anything in there and some time bring those boxes back and get back, put some in and bring it back. And make sure you put your
