Last week, we completed the previous chapter, and that was the chapter of encouraging assuring the prayer Alhamdulillah today we're on the final chapter that we were meant to cover inshallah, in this series of lectures, in the first part of the book of prayer, and that is Bible massage in the chapter of mosques and massage.
The word massages is the Quran in Arabic language of the word mustard and the word mustard in Arabic language linguistically means a place of frustration. So anywhere that you prostrate linguistically, in Arabic language is known as Masjid and technically in the Sri Masjid is those places that a large region has allowed for us to prostrate upon and so as we know, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that from the unique attributes that he was given, and from his unique miracles that he was given his unique characteristics and attributes is that all of the Earth is a place of mustard and a piece of purification. As the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, we're very lucky and
honorable Masjid and Wata hora all of the Earth has we made a place of frustration for me at a place of purification, with the exception of those places that we mentioned in a previous chapter when we're discussing the conditions of the prep. So like, for example, the place where you relieve yourself, like, for example, a graveyard like for example, a place where people throw their rubbish and the excrement and so on and so forth. Those places are exceptions. Other than that, everything else that is everywhere else is allowed for a person to pray and to make such that upon. And that's why the technical definition in the Sharia is those places that allows the will has allowed for us
to prostrate upon because there are certain places that we're not allowed to prostrate upon. So even the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in a Bukhari and Muslim when he said that all of the Earth has been made from a place of frustration and prayer. There is a general Hadith, but there are exceptions to it as well. And so that is a general statement that needs to be taken into context alongside the other narrations of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam. In this regard,
why has the author Rahim Allah tala given and dedicated a whole chapter to massage to the masjid often you find, for example, that some of the scholars in the books won't even have a chapter within the book of prayer, they will have a chapter for Masjid. And some of them for example, if they want to discuss the etiquettes of the masjid and so on, they'll write a book about it. So they'll write a separate book or a separate work just on the etiquettes of domestic Why has he mentioned try? What is the significance of this chapter him? One of the reasons will probably the main reason why the author of him Mahalo to Allah mentioned this topic. And this chapter here is because he wants to
impress upon us the type of mustard that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam had during his time and the role machine played during that time. And that is markedly different from the role of the masjid today and how we use the masjid today. Often today when you go to a machine, most more or less every place on the corner of this of this earth. Whenever you go to a Masjid most likely what the people use their massages for today is for the prayers. Juma terravision, Ramadan read, and maybe classes for young children, the madrasa that's what people generally in most massages, this is what they use it for maybe the odd lecture here or there. This is what the masjid has now become
today. And that's more or less everywhere in the world. And so often you'll find, for example, that the machine other than the prayers and these things, it is more or less empty, it was more or less void of any activity. And this is in marked contrast to the way that the masjid was during the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And this is something which the author Rahim Allah will show to us from a number of ahaadeeth that he is bringing. So that's one reason why he's dedicated a whole chapter and the second reason is to show some of the etiquettes that pertain to the machine as well, because the machine has a significant place within our religion and especially in connection
to the prayer and so therefore, it is also right
I'm correct that he mentioned some of the etiquettes concerning the masjid as well. During the time of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam the prophet SAW Selim gave extreme importance to the masjid. And that's why when he left McCann, he came to Medina, his first action as soon as he arrived in Cobra, one of the first things that he did, once he laid the foundations of a Masjid, and that was Michelle Obama. And then when he came into the actual city of Medina, again, one of the first actions that he performed, was laying the foundations of a Masjid. So even before and if you look at the history and the seal of the prophets are seldom, even before he took his own house, he
built a mystery. So before he worried about where he was going to live, his family, his wives, and so on. The first thing, one of the first things that he did was he laid the foundations of a Masjid and everyone knows the famous story of the camel and it came and it stopped at a certain place, and that land belonged to two orphans. And so the purpose of Salaam Botha learn from them, and he designated the area to be his mystery mesh in the Netherlands. And he himself lived in the house of one of the companions of the unser, Abu al Ansari, or the Allahu anhu. So he didn't build himself, a house didn't have a place that he took, or a place that he rented, or a place that he bought, but
rather, he stayed with Abu Dhabi, a loved one, and he bought that land for
someone's
rental car.
There's a car in the carpark blocking other cars, if it belongs to you, please
go and move it.
So the professor sallallahu alayhi wa sallam therefore, the first thing that he did was he built this mosquito lay the foundations of this machine. And he himself sort of lower it was the limb help the companions to build and construct the Smithsonian as well. And that in itself shows the importance of the mission and the role that he plays within our religion. And the mission then came became the central point, the focal point of the Muslim community. So it's not like today where you don't like the mustard is only a piece of worship. And that's it, we don't do anything else. Islam is a comprehensive religion. And all of those activities all of them have a place in the masjid. So
from some of the integrations that are given, to him, Allah will bring in this chapter will see that the masjid was example, for example, a place of play and amusement for the Muslims, the place where they would train and they would play, and they would have amusement, a place where the ill would come and they would be cured, they will look after them, and they would nurse them better. There was a place where even prisoners were kept. They were captured and kept as prisoners. Within the question we find that the prophets of Salaam would have
in the master, he would have his councils with the companions, he would sit with them and debate with them. It was like the Ministry of Defense, any strategic issues, anything to do with defense, anything to do with war? All of this was decided in the question, so is the administrative center. The defense center, likewise, is the area of communal gatherings for the Muslims. All of this was done in the masjid. It was the focal point and it was the center point of the Muslim community. And this is really the role of the minister, that you maintain its etiquette and you maintain it at that, I know that the mission is primary purpose is for the worship of Allah azza wa jal, that the
name of alarms that will be mentioned and may be recited, and so on and so forth. But at the same time, it is also so that the Muslims can come and they can gather, and all of these other services can be provided for them as well. And so this concept that we have today of MST, just being a place of prayer, where no kids are allowed and women are allowed, and anyone under the age of 12, and over the age of 16, and under or whatever these kind of conditions we've made for ourselves today, that is actually not in accordance with the Sunnah of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, rather the companions had it as a focal point and so many things to place within the question. There are even
like narrations that you will get where the professor seldom was in his house, and he would hear companion companions arguing in the masjid, and he would come out and he would say what's wrong and they would be discussing issues or they would, for example, one companion would want his his loan repaid from another component all of this will take place in the machine, and rarely would you find that the professor solemn, would forbid them from doing so, unless there was an issue of etiquette that was now being contravened. So for example, someone was raising the voice too loud or the etiquette was unbecoming as it should be in the masjid. So this is the importance of this chapter.
And the reason why Abraham's Rahim Allah has dedicated a whole chapter to it.
The first Hadith is Hadith number 197. And Aaron shutaura, the alum one harlot, Amara Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Urbana, il Mr massage if you don't want to not refer to
Buddha Buddha Timothy masahisa on the Chateau de la Mancha, who said that the prophets are a long way
He will send an order that the massage should be built in every single area, and that they should be kept clean and perfumed. And this is collected by Mohammed Abu Dawood and Jeremy, and it is an authentic hadith, this Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the scholars have interpreted in two ways they've given it two meanings. Number one is the meaning that I translated for you. And that is that in every area wherever there is a group of Muslims residing, there should be a mixture. So the Muslims make for themselves a Masjid. And so whenever there is an a group and a group of Muslims living in one particular area, they should have a Masjid for themselves. Okay. And
so for example, that would mean for example, in the time of the Prophet salallahu, alayhi wasallam. As we've said before, Medina itself the city was very small, it's more or less what the masjid is today. That was the city of Medina. So there was a Masjid there. Then there were people in Qibla 10, there was a Masjid there, people in Oba there was a Masjid there, people in all of these small outskirts and areas and villages outside of Medina, all of them had their own mission. And what we mean by mush, it doesn't necessarily have to be a Masjid, in this sense, where you know, it's like a building and carpet and so on. What we mean is a communal place where the people gather and they
pray, they worship Allah subhanho wa Taala. These are the types of massages that we're speaking about. So this first Hadith, the first interpretation of this hadith is that wherever there are a group of Muslims, there should be a Masjid, the place for them to come, and to pray and hamdulillah even today, we have this, you know, wherever, whichever corner of the country you go to, and there's a group of Muslims living there, they will try to the utmost to have a Masjid there, even though even if it's a house, or a small area, or a shop that they've converted, whatever it may be, and whichever way shape and form, they try to have a message and this is part of the son of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The second meaning that is given to this hadith is that there were door can also be interpreted as houses, so that every house should have a Masjid. What does that mean? Every house should have a Masjid, it means that you paint your house should also be a place of frustration, that you don't just worship a lot in the masjid, but that you worship a lot at home as well. And we've previously mentioned the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he said, concerning our houses, don't make them into graveyards, but pray in them as well. And so therefore the sinner is that knuffle prayers and prayers, you pray them at home as well, so that your house
doesn't become like a graveyard. Rather, it is a place of worshipping Allah azza wa jal as well. And that meaning is also applied here, that you houses are also places of prostration places are worshipping Allah subhanho wa Taala. And there is a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam where one of the companions came, and he said, O Messenger of Allah, my house is too far from your question, difficult for me to come for every single prayer. So would you not come to my house, and pray there for me, so that I can take that area then as my mustard at home? And so the profits are seldom agreed. And he went there. And he said to the man, where would you like to pray in your
house, and the man said, I would like this area that I designate to pray, and that's what I will normally pray. And so then the professor prayed for him there. And then after that, he would pray there as well. And so this shows that the professor not only allowed but he encouraged people to pray at home, that this is something and what we mean generally, is, for example, the natural prayers and the Sunnah, prayers, and so on. And as for congregational presentation, Allah will come on to the detail concerning that in a later chapter. But the point is that it's a place of frustration and a place of worshipping Allah Subhana Medina, a place of prayer. And so the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam King, and he prayed in the area for him, so that he could pray there as well. And so that shows that it is also part of the pseudonym. And then also that that Masjid, that place of frustration should be kept clean, and it should be perfumed. And most people at home will have a certain place that they pray in. So whatever room you may be in your in your living room, your front room, your bedroom, normally you pray in that same place within that room. So in the living room, like you don't normally change your place of prayer, normally everyone plays in that same place, you have a certain area that everyone just happens to go, and they just play at that
same place. Those places should be clean, and they should be perfumed. And this is from the etiquettes of the masjid, that when you worship Allah subhanho wa Taala just as you purify yourself and you beautify yourself to stand in front of a lot, then likewise, those places and areas that you play, pray in should also be purified and perfumed for the sake of a larger region as well.

on the authority of Abu huraira, the one who said that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said May Allah curse the Jews, for the took the graves of the prophets as massage places of prayer and worship. And this is an Buhari and Muslim and in the generation of Muslim and lackluster Jews and the Christians, and also they narrate from the authority of Chateau de la Mancha that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that if a righteous person amongst them would pass away, they would place above his grave a place of frustration and worship. And in another generation, he said that they are the worst of creation. This hadith of Abraham's Rahim Allah is showing how the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
is speaking about one of the etiquettes of the question, and that is that the message should be free from anything which dilutes his purpose or anything which confuses its purpose and its goal. And the goal of the machine is as we know from the Quran itself, the worship of Allah and Allah alone. And a large social mentions many verses in the Quran when he speaks about the masjid and it's placed within our religion a lot of soldiers for example, Fie Baluch, in Albion Allahu and profound when you cut off he has you said before Allah houfy. How do we solve that these houses have a lot of places that Alonzo Church has given them permission that they should be raised high, meaning that
the massager themselves have a high station in our religion, and that our last name should be remembered that in and that our laws should be glorified during the day and the night they're in. So the mission itself is a place of worshiping Allah alone. So when that purpose then becomes diluted, because there is a grave, or because someone takes as a place of frustration, a graveyard, or someone's grave or tomb, then now that purpose of the mustard has become diluted. So anything which does this is something which is not allowed. And that's why for example, in the masjid, I mean, you're not allowed to have pictures anywhere, but especially in the mission of living people. And it
is even more Haram, because of this issue here. And so therefore, it is not allowed for a person, for example, to go and pray in a place where there are photos and pictures and so on. Because it can be construed as a person, not worshipping Allah alone, but worshiping other than Allah. To the extent that even the janaza prayer, the funeral pray that we pray, it is a prayer that we pray to Allah. But because you pray in front, in front of you, there is a body, an actual dead body there. Therefore, in the funeral plan in the janazah, there is no record, no surgery, you don't bow and you don't prostrate. It is all standing. And that is unique to this prayer, that there's no record and
there's no surgery, you just stand and pray. And that is again to divorce it from any type of confusion, that perhaps if a person wants to make Rico and sudo, even though they're worshipping Allah not worshiping the dead person in front of them, people would become confused. And this is how she began as we know from the prophets of Salaam, that she began by the people who came before mohalla his son and by his people and his nation, taking statues. And they made depictions of people who are righteous that after they died, they made them into statues. And then after they forgot the purpose of the statues, they began to worship them besides Allah subhana wa Tada. So therefore
anything which brings in the element of confusion, that is something which is divorced, and that's why many of the scholars of unasyn Noah jamara are very strict on this point, that anything which can be construed as a type of ship, or even a pathway that leads to sharp, they close off the door and they say it is haram, because of the gravity of the situation and how serious it is, when you worship other than Allah subhanho wa Taala and this is the principle that the prophets on the lower on equal cillum is affirming in this hadith.
The next Hadith 199 one a burrito the Allahu anhu call, but as an IBO sallallahu alayhi wa sallam halen for just bureaux, Julian for Roberto bisaya tim in Surrey, Mr. Hadeeth, but tough upon early on the 30 rhodiola one who said that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent a small army and they came with a man and they tied him to one of the pillars of the masjid. And this is in Bukhari and Muslim. This Hadith is a long duration witch hunter Rahim Allah has abridged and summarized to give you the point of benefit. And that is what I mentioned in my introduction, that the masjid during that time, wasn't just a place of worshipping online and pray on it alone. But rather, it was
a place where, you know, the poor people and also for the homeless companions would live in the masjid. And it was a place where if someone was ill, they would come to the masjid and a place would be made for them so that they could stay there and be nursed, was a place where people would come to meet the Prophet.
Solomon, he would receive his delegations. If someone was looking for the prophets of Salaam, or one of the major companions, one of the first places that they would come to was the masjid because most likely they're doing something. This Hadith is an example of that. And that is that the Prophet son alone were on equal sillim allowed for a prisoner of war, or just a prisoner to be held captive in the masjid. And this hadith is a long Hadith and it refers to the companion, for mama even author, wrote the long run from the time from the tribe of Banu hanifa. And he was the leader of the tribe, and he later became a Muslim or the loved one, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam captured
him. And he ordered that he be tied to a pillar from the pillars of the masjid. And he was kept there for three days and three nights and every day the prophet SAW Selim would say to him, what's what's a preview of will offer mama he would ask him about his situation. And so mama would respond, not responding to the invitation of the heat, but rather he would just make a different response than finding the prophet SAW Selim allowed him to go set him free. And that is when mama came back, after having taken a bath and so on, he came back, and he accepted Islam. And because of him, many of his tribes people also became Muslims. And he was the leader of a strong tribe and honey Femina.
hanifa was one of the tribes that was on the pathways of the caravans of orange. So they were people who are on their pathways, and he said to the prophets are seldom that I will prevent them from coming through us the caravans of flourish because of their opposition to Islam and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. The point is, and the benefit of mentioning this hadith is that the prophets of Salaam used the masjid and allowed a place where a prisoner is kept. And so therefore they must, it is versatile in what it's used for. And it's how it also shows that it is allowed for a non Muslim to enter into the masjid as well. Because remember, at that time, was a non Muslim, he
wasn't a Muslim, he became Muslim later. And so if there is a need, and if there is some benefit, and there is a purpose for non Muslims to come, then it is allowed for them to do so. And they must have this open for that reason. And so, this hadith clearly shows how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam use the masjid in various ways. And there are many other Hadith that we're going to come on to that will expand upon that as well. Hadith number 201 of the hora de la one, aroma rhodiola Juan humara Hassan Yoon shadowfell Masjid Fela ha la la he for Allah but Quinton Cheeto Fie him and Wolfie Roman motif Hakuna Holly, and authority over Buhari rhodiola one that Rama rhodiola one
passed by Hassan whilst he was reciting poetry in the mustard so he stared at him. So Hassan replied, I used to do this. And in the mustard there was someone who was even better than you. And this is in an Buhari and Muslim.
This Hadith also is showing another purpose of the masjid and that is that I said that the companions at that time and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam allowed for the machine to be used for enjoyment as well. amusement and play, obviously, in hallel ways and halaal means, but it was something which was allowed during that time. And this is an example of that, that are more of the alarm rang during his khilafah. He passed by his son a blue tablet, for the long run, the famous companion, the poet of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And the poetry that Hassan would recite is not just any type of poetry is not, you know, it's not love poetry or it's not just poetry
about romance or any other issue. It is poetry about Islam, defending the Koran, speaking about the prophets of Salaam, speaking about Allah and so on. It is Islamic poetry. And so he would recite this poetry and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam encouraged him to do so during his life as well when he was alive. And when the Quran should bring poetry against Islam, He will say to his son respond to them with your poetry. And so you would deal with them in poetry, you would respond to their poetry with his own poetry, or the longhand warda and so some of that poetry was done at the masjid. I'm gonna do long winded when he passed by amino Dharma rhodiola. One was an amazing
companion. And one of the amazing things about Rama rhodiola. One was that he disliked that anyone should in any way misunderstand Islam, whether they should take advantage of Islam, or that they should in any way misinterpret the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And that's why during his time, for example, he wouldn't like that the companions would recite and narrate so many Hadith because the Quran still wasn't compiled properly. It became compiled as its current form during the time of Rus man. So during the time of Omar, sometimes when the new Muslims would come, and a person would recite the Hadith, they would misunderstand and think it was a verse
of the Quran. So there would be confusion. And so I'm one of the allow one would say to the companions don't recite and read so many Hadith focus on the Quran. And that's what rhodiola one later said, towards the end of his life,
If that if I used if I narrated Hadith, in the time of Ramadi as I do now, it would have been me, because during the end of his life in late 2000s of Hadith to in order to narrate the son of the prophet SAW Selim preset during the time of Rama, Rama wouldn't have allowed me to do so. Someone was very strict on these issues, didn't want people to in any way misinterpret Islam. And so he was strict with the companions. And we mentioned last week, the example of a knockin three times before you enter, and how the how, how immoral, the loved one became angry, because he hadn't heard of that Hadith and he wanted proof that this actually came from the Prophet sallallahu. And he was selling
wouldn't allow anyone to take advantage of Islam. The point being that here as well. And one of the law one is disliking that has done in the masjid is reciting poetry.
Basically, what he's saying is that instead in the masjid, you should be recycled Koran, you should be praying, you should be doing acts of worship, don't use the masjid as a place of poetry, but has some replied to him, and is a very strong reply. And he said that I used to do this, and there was someone better than you in the masjid meaning that in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam whilst he was here, and he was alive on the mission, I would do this and he didn't say anything. So therefore you can't say anything as well. And so I'm not the only one did rebuke him didn't say anything. The wording of the Hadith is, is that he just looked at him, he stared at him
in a way that he understood that he disapproved or must not saying Haram is just saying, you know, maybe it's not the best place to do it, and her son replied, as well. And so what the scholar says, are generally poetry and these types of issues and things are not recommended in the misschien unless it is the type of poetry that his son was reciting. When you're defending Islam or you praise Allah, or you're praising the Koran or the son of the prophets of Salaam, and so on and so forth. And Allah knows best
hand if number 201 we're under the hood era Torah the Allahu Akbar, Allah Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and semi Argentinian shadowbanned Latin for the masjid folio palabra de la hora de for nl massage the nanny has an aroma skin and authority lovable hooray rhodiola one that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, whoever hears a person calling out for the last animal in the question, then reply and say May Allah never return it to you, for Indeed, the massages were not built for this purpose. And this is collected in Sahih Muslim. This Hadith shows the balance and the beauty of Islam. And that is that we said that the masjid isn't just for worshiping online in the
sense of prayer and recitation of the Quran. But it is versatile in its functions and in what it offers. And that is that a person can come and they can, you know, live person is ill they can be nest better in the masjid, if there is a prisoner they can be kept in the masjid, and so on and so forth. However, there is a balance here. So you don't want to one extreme or the other. This Hadith speaks about the other extreme now, where people are using it too much for the dunya. They're using it overly for their personal benefit, and there is no benefit for the oma. So generally, when you have these issues going on in the question, whether it is poetry about Islam, whether it is for
example, keeping a prisoner in the masjid, whether there is nursing someone better in the mission, that is a general benefit for the Muslims. This Hadith speaks about something which pertains only to the dunya. And that is that a person loses the animal of Biola in Arabic language is a lost animal. And so a person comes in and they say, and they announced in the masjid that I've lost my animal, if someone finds it returning to me, the prophet SAW Selim forbade this and he said, You should reply, may Allah never return it to you. So you do the opposite of what he wants. And you say, may Allah never return it to you. And then the prophets of Salaam said, the mosques were not built for this
purpose, meaning that it's not a place of trade, buying and selling. Nor is there a place where you announced your last property, because all of these things they demand from the stature of domestic and that's why the profits are lower, and he will send them said, the most beloved of places to Allah on the face of the earth are the massages, the mosques, and the most
hatred, hated peace places to unlock on the face of the earth, on the marketplaces. Because in the marketplaces, people buy and sell and they cheat and they lie. And maybe they inflate their prices and they try to deceive so many things go on in the marketplaces, this free mixing so many things go on. And so the prophet SAW Selim said that a lot of dislikes that say heated please to Allah. So when you try to demean the state, the stature and the status of the masjid, towards that status of the marketplace, then there is something which also becomes heroine. And so therefore, for a person to come and announce anulus property, not just an animal, any loss of property does not allow. So if
a person loses their mobile phone, they lose their set of keys. They lose whatever they lose in the question is not allowed for you to announce that nanolab not allowed for person to say I lost my Nakia
Whatever the quote, right, as anyone seen it on my iPhone four, or my, whatever HTC thing, whatever it is, and someone find it, or I lost a bunch of keys, you know, there's 10 keys ones, Al ones. One is this and go through all of this and say, return it to me how long rather what's done is that person can stand outside of the masjid. And they can make the announcement, or, for example, as we do normally is, you put up a notice in the lobby outside of the masjid or the person goes into the office, they go outside of the place of prayer. And that announcement isn't made here, because those are not the reasons why white people built their massages and why the message is there. And this
also relates to the next Heidi from that. And to run who do not want to know Rasulullah sallallahu Silla McCall, either eat too many or be terrible for the masjid for hula, hula or bahala, who teaches erotic romance sell, you will tell me the center and authority of rhodiola. And the profits on the lower end, he will sell them said, If you see someone buying or sending in the MSG then say, may Allah never give you profit in your trade. And this is collected unnecessarily and ultimately, and then there's an authentic hadith. And this hadith is an extension from the previous Hadith. So we said that you can't announce this property. This is another dimension to this that a person buys
and sells. The wording of the Hadith is that you either buy or sell, or the products exchange hands. So maybe for example, you know, you bought and sold, you did the transaction outside, but the actual exchange of goods takes place in the masjid. So you agreed outside that I'll buy your iPhone for 300 pounds. But then you come in the masjid. And that's where the physical exchange takes place, the money and the product. This is the changing of hands, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is referring to your putao meaning that you change the product and the money changes hands. This is not allowed also in the question. And if someone does this, then again, similarly to the previous
Heidi to say, May Allah not give you any profit in your trade, may Allah bless your business. And that's because again, the mustard is not a place where people come, and they make their own business transactions and so on. And that's why it's not allowed for a person to stand up. For example, if they're selling, you know, a fridge or selling a car, and they make this announcement after Juma or like, you know, they come after the prayer and they want to make an investment for this. Or, for example, if someone has a business, even if you may have an Islamic element to it, where a person for example, has their own business of hedging, ombre. And so they come into the machine, and they
openly announce it. I'm selling a package for 500 pounds, British Airways and three star hotels, whatever. This isn't allowed, because now the mustard you're demeaning its status has become a place of no trade and selling. And then normally what goes hand in hand with this is that people feel deceived. They feel cheated. Maybe for example, someone will complain that further be done hard done by they didn't get what you promised all of this then comes back to the master. And even psychologically people will associate this to the question that this is where they got this from. They were cheated in the masjid. So you know, it's just like even that from a psychological point of
view, it does detract from the status of the question. So therefore, it is not allowed and Allah knows best. The next Heidi's 203 one Hakimi the hazama de la grandhotel Allah Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam la takamoto Phil massage de willows the federal fee her motto Buddha would be standard in brief on the authority of Hakeem Abraham rhodiola one who said that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said

Some of them said it is weak, and some of them said that it is authentic because it has supporting narrations. So for that reason, because there is a difference of opinion. I'll go through the benefits of this hadith anyway. And that is again, it's, again, another type of extension from the previous two Hadith. And that is that, again, even exacting penal laws produced in the Arabic language is referring to in the Sharia, or sorry, it refers to penal laws. So for
example, the crimes that a person commits in terms of murder, terms of theft, terms of adultery in terms of, for example, slander, these types of crimes, for which there is a physical punishment, there is a penal law attached to it. Those penal laws should not be exacted in the masjid, nor should they be benefited from how do you benefit from it, for example, a person's relative has been killed. And so that person comes in their machine and they demand that that person be brought to justice in the masjid. They're benefiting from it personally, because it's their loved one. Their relation that died was murdered. They want revenge for that now, and they're doing it in the
framework of the question. This is also not allowed. It should be stayed steered clear from
Something which people should stay away from in the masjid. There is another place for this and that is the courthouse there is other places and so on. That doesn't mean that it's not allowed for a person to judge in the masjid, to judge between two parties to reconsolidate between two parties to listen to the issues of people in the question, for there are many a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam where those types of things took place in the masjid and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam allowed them to happen. However it was done in very limited circumstances and with conditions attached and Allah knows best Hadith number 204 wineries Chateau de la one

And this is an antibody and Muslim. This Hadith is an example of how again, the prophets on the lower end equals Solomon the companions use the masjid and that is for nursing the people who are ill people who are injured and so on. And how do you specifically refers to sag? Even wild are the Allahu Akbar, the famous

He was known for his wisdom, his courage, his bravery, and his love for Islam. And so he was a great, illustrious companion. He was injured in the Battle of hunger. And so he participated in butter 100 was the third battle that took place and that is the Battle of the trench, where the non Muslims the Irish, they came, and they laid siege to Medina, and Selma and
fairness to the long run, gave advice to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam that in Persia, when people would lay siege to them, they would build a white trench around the city, so that they couldn't enter the ENTER and then they would defend the city from behind that siege that trench. And so the prophets of Salaam agreed and they built this trench. in Medina. They dug this trench in Medina. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in this battle, this is the Battle of conduct. And this is the battle also that the Jewish tribes in Medina, they took sides against the Muslims and they sided with the non Muslims and they broke their pact and so on and so forth.
certainly been more accurate. The Allahu anhu was injured in this battle, the battle 100 and he was injured severely, and his wound wouldn't heal, continued to bleed continued, the liquid and pus continued to pour forth. And so they knew that his time was limited. In one narration, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made to add to Allah, that Allah should allow him to live until Allah judged in the issue of these Jewish tribes, whether they whatever would take place with them. And so sadly, when Wilde was seriously injured, but he hadn't died, and so the prophets are seldom allowed for him to come and live in the masjid, even though he's injured and these liquid body liquids are
pouring forth in the messages. But he allowed him to do so. And he made a tent for him. Study would be close to him, and he could go and visit him and this shows how much the profits on a lower hourly He will send them love this companion Saturday, beware. And if anyone were to be saved from that squeezing, it would have been served even more as
rhodiola one. So these Hadees show how illustrious he was his great status in Islam. The fact that the prophets of Salaam is mentioning him in this light and in this regard, and again the point and benefit of this hadith being mentioned here is that the masjid can also be used for these purposes as well. And a lot knows best. had his number 205 one Irish estado de la one Hippolyte Roy Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is toorani wananga era habashi la Buena Vista Masjid and Hadith motif Hakuna Ali

Once I looked at the abbey senior men playing in the masjid and this is in an Bukhari and Muslim. This Hadith shows another function of the mission that is allowed for people to play and for people to to have amusement in the question in limited terms. And that limited term is that this hadith is in the context of the day of the day of aid, and the Prophet son alone wherever he was seldom allowed for the abuse simians and the
Muslims from Abu sindhya that they would have certain games that they would play on the days of their celebrations and their festivities. And so they wanted to do so on the day. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam allowed them to do so. And his house was drained to the masjid. So he revealed he took back part of the curtain, so that he could watch them playing, and your loved one was with him. And so she was leaning on him and her cheek was touching his cheek while she was also looking out at them and playing and there is a long Hadith and story to this, where I showed her the one who is speaking about how she loved being in so close proximity to the prophets of Salaam, that
she wasn't so much impressed by the IBC Indians playing, but the fact that she was sitting so closely to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but the point of this hadith is that the prophet of cinema allowed them to do so. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam allowed on the day of read those things which you wouldn't normally allow, are normally encouraged because this is the day of eat and the prophets are seldom said, in an authentic hadith that every single people, every single nation has a day of eat. And this is our day of eat. And that's why when abubaker the laquan came into his house, the house of Anisha sorry, and the professor seldom was there. He found young
girls singing machines. They were singing poetry in the presence of the prophets of Salaam. And so he became angry and he said, How dare you do this in his presence? And so the professor Selim said to Abubakar leave them for every nation has the devil read and this is our day over. And so the process allowed for this type of thing to happen within the message as well. And again, it shows another side of the message and another one of its functions. And this is an unbelievably and Muslim. One of the functions of the mission during the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was at the homeless companions would live there. And they were known as Lucifer. And Lucifer were those companions was so poor, that they were homeless, had no shelter. And so the only place that they could live was the masjid. And so that's where they stayed. And there are many a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would you
know, give them food or when he would receive something, or he would be invited to someone's house, he would tell the Lucifer to come meet him as well. And so on and so forth. Those poor homeless companions that lived in the masjid, and at times they number up to 70. So sometimes there would be 70 of them, just living in the masjid homeless.
This young stave gun, she was under the age of maturity, this they've gone belong to a tribe from the tribes of Medina and they feed her, feed her for the sake of Allah. But she was young and she had nowhere to go, nothing to do. Young, not married, doesn't have anyone look after her. So she came to the masjid. She came to the profits on the lower and he was Tulum. And he allowed for a small tend to be erected for her so that she could stay there. And so that I shall do LaWanda would say that she would come during the day to me because the house was drained to the masjid. And she would talk to me and I would talk to her. But again, the point of this hadith being that it is
allowed for this to happen so when people stay overnight in the masjid, when they don't have anywhere else to go, whether it's a place of residence for certain people, or they need to spend some time in the masjid, things like this. All of this is allowed unreachable authentically established in the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Hadith number 271 unassembled The Allahu anhu call Kala Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and busaba Phil Mr. De Hata, aka Farah to hold the flu hamata finale, the authoritative answer the only one who said that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said spitting is a sin in the masjid. And his explanation is that you
bury it. And this is an embody and Muslim. This is a hadith concerning one of the etiquettes of the masjid. And what you have to understand is, even though today It may seem like it's common sense that you don't spit in the masjid. During that time, there were many people who are of a Bedouin nature, these things weren't normal to them. It was a common sense to them. And that's why you have that famous Hadith which we've already covered in the book of purification, where the Bedouin Arab came in, and he urinated in the masjid openly, because that's what they did. When you needed to go you went anywhere, and everywhere it was a desert. That's how it worked. And so they didn't
understand that this is a machine that has its certain etiquettes and has a station station in Islam. They didn't know any better. And so likewise, people would spit and they wouldn't know any better. And they would spit in the machine outside of the machine. And so this is a harlot which we also covered, I think last week, and that is that the prophet SAW Selim said that if one of you must spit in the prayer, they let him do so.
on his left under his foot, and here the professor is saying that it is sinful to do so. So therefore, some general the general ruling is that you don't spit in the masjid or during the prayer, but if it must happen and one must do so that it must be buried, meaning that you put your foot over it so after you've Specht, you you place your foot over it and that is how it is buried and a large surgeon knows best. this handy to speaking about one of the minus signs of your new piano. So we know that the signs of normal piano are split into two minor and major and minor the minor signs began with the coming of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So he was the first minus sign, and his death was also a minus sign. And they will continue these minus signs will continue until the time that the Monday comes, and the time of the job, and then the major signs will begin. One of those minus signs which we see around us today is that people boast about their massage and why is this such a big deal is because it negates one of the etiquettes of the masjid and that is that the masjid was not built, it
is not erected, it is not constructed for people to boast about not as a place where people should be, you know, proud of its architecture and so on and so forth. That's not the purpose of the masjid to beautify it and so on, spend millions upon millions and so on. Rather, the purpose of the question is to worship Allah to remember a lot recite the Quran, and those other issues that we've mentioned within this chapter as well. And that's why the machine of the Prophet son alone, while he was still him, was very bad and very minimal. The ground didn't have any carpet or rugs. It was just the sun, the normal ground, the normal ground that they would walk upon, and its roof was just made
off the palm leaves. And it just had tree trunks from day to day palm trees as its pillars, that's all the mustard was. And then the other houses would be attached to it. That's all the mustard was. And so it wasn't a place where they spent loads of money, or when, for example, the prophets of Salaam conquered Mecca. And then the other whole affair they conquered, you know, the Romans and the Persians and they had much wealth that they made into such a beautiful structure. The Masjid was expanded every so often, so that he could cater for the growing community in Medina. But that's it wasn't anything more. Unfortunately, now we have very beautiful massages, people spend 10s of
millions of pounds on them. And they're very beautiful. And she's amazing on the marble comes from Spain and the carpets of Turkey and so on and so forth. But it's completely dead, come into the masjid and there's one roll. It's all they get. And then it's closed. Nothing happens. What's the purpose of such a ministry, other than it being a very nice, you know, like structure in your landmark and it has gives something to this Skyscanner, to the skyline of the city and so on, doesn't have much benefit. Whereas the measure of the profit of Silla Muslim, so beautiful, wasn't so nice. But all of these things took place. And that is the model that the prophet SAW Selim is
speaking of, and this is from the science of the hour. So we know that it's something that will happen that the people instead of focusing on the true purpose of the machine, they spend their time comparing and boasting about the massage machines of 10 million, you got to build one for 20 million, that person's got to build one for 30 million for either a marble with gold, and then the other person got a marble with gold and silver and so on and so forth. This is what we mean. And the next Hadeeth is also on a similar point, Hadith number 209. one bedroom at the lower end Houma Kala Kala Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Mila Tomita, she did massages for Jehovah would also

the authority of an ambassador, the only one who murdered the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, I wasn't ordered to beautify the session, click the button to download and authenticated, maybe ban. So the previous hided spoke about people beautifying the massage in this head it speaks about, sorry, the previous hide it was about boasting about massage in this head, it speaks about beautifying the massage. And that is that the professor sternum was ordered to do so. So the carpets, the carpet doesn't have to be, you know, the most amazing carpet in the world. The building doesn't have to be the most amazing building in the world. That doesn't mean that you let it be run
down and is derelict and you know, the copy. No one wants to make surgery on it because it's so dirty and smelly and so on. That's not what's meant because one of the first Hadeeth that we mentioned in this chapter, is that the process of self audit the mesh should be cleaned. And there it should be perfumed. So it's a place where people should feel comfortable, so that they can come and they can worship and laugh.
So we'll jump. And just as we said last week, that if a person needs to eat and it's the time for prayer that they should eat, and if they need to go to the bathroom and it's the time for prayer, they should go to the bathroom, so that they can have the horseshoe in their prayer. Likewise with the masjid as well, your place of prayer is a place where you have control. So if you come into the Michigan it's freezing cold, and you just shivering, you're not going to have any Herschel. Likewise, if a person comes in, they can't make sujood on the carpet because of the state of the carpet they won't have any issue. And so therefore that balance is kept within this religion. But
the point is that you don't go to extremes on either side and Allah knows best honey from a 210 one medicine rhodiola one Kala Kala Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Rory, Dr. Li, Guru Murthy Hatton pada to Raja luminor msgid provato Buddha wouldwould Timothy was the hora Bahasa how he was a man on the authority of anise rhodiola. One who said that the Prophet son alone word he will seldom said, but I saw the good deeds and the rewards of my own map to the extent of the word splinter that a person takes out of the question. Take the Bible, the word and Timothy, and he said that it is a unknown Hadith, and it was authenticated by the hoceima. This Hadith is weak. In his chain of
narration, some of the scholars said that it is authentic in its meaning that the general principle that it's applying is authentic. Even though the Hadith itself is weak, what is that general principle that we are referring to the Prophet son alone while he was still me saying that I saw all of the reward of my own, what they will get in terms of reward, the big rewards and the small rewards to the extent of the person who removes the wood splinter from the question. During the time of the processor, as we said, the machine was made of date, palm leaves and the palm trees, tree trunks. Anyone, I don't know how, how many of you are familiar with those types of trees, but the
leaves and the trunks would fall from them from the trees, they shed wood. And even the day palm leaves. When they become dry, they become brittle, and they may crack. And so you get some of that wood, some of those leaves falling into the question. And likewise from the trees, you get those part of the wood from the tree bark falling into the machine as well. So to clean that mess up to remove these things from the machine, that is something which is rewarding. So if a person comes to the machine even today, and they see some rubbish, they see something which shouldn't be there and they remove it that is something which a person is rewarded for. And we know that the prophets of
Salaam said that the lowest level of human is to remove something harmful from the path. So that's something harmful in the way of people. So something anything which is harmful to remove it is something which you will get reward for. So therefore, even to that extent, if you come into the machine, and you find that there's a wood splinter, there's something in the machine that shouldn't be there to remove it is something which you will get rewarded for that is the principle that is Hadid is speaking about that message should be kept clean. And the scholars who say that the meaning is authentic, they say so because we've already come across our authentic hadith, in which the
Prophet said of order that we clean and perfume the machines so that principle is established and this hadith may be weak. The general principle is still being affirmed and a large soldier knows best December 211 wannabe Qatada rhodiola one who Kala Kala Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is a de la cama Masjid filariasis Hector, you Sayaka tiene mucho finale, the final Hadith in this chapter on authority o de rhodiola one who said that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, if one of you enters the masjid, then do not sit until you have prayed to Allah cause and this is collected in a body and Muslim. This Hadith we've covered before when we spoke about the timings of
the prayer. And we spoke about for example, the timings the prohibited timings of the prayer. We covered this howdy then. But even has Rahim Allah is bringing it again here simply to reinforce the general etiquette of the masjid. And that is the general rule of thumb Islam when you enter the masjid, you don't pray, you don't sit down until you pay those two records. And then we mentioned the difference of opinion the scholars have concerning the brevity of time some of them said that you pray those prayers if there is a reason to do so during the prayer times. And others said that you don't and that is something which the scholars have greatly different over throughout the ages
of Islam. But the point is here that that principle of the etiquette of the question that you pray those two records it as something which is firmly established and rooted in the authentic some of our profits on the long run equals seldom. So with that we come to the conclusion of this chapter Babel, massage it and we also come to the conclusion of this series of lectures in the book of prayer for blowhole muram. As I said, at the beginning that what we're going to do is we're going to have intensive courses, instead of like just learn to run open ended, and then we'll take breaks and then we'll come back and we'll take another
The section of the book, and we'll do it like that. So this is the end of of this series in shallow tarla. The next series inshallah will begin sometime next year
2013, which isn't too far away, I don't have an exact date, pretty shallow, you, if you subscribe to the email, and you keep an eye on the website, inshallah, you'll be updated on that. And then we begin with the next chapter, which is the description of the prayer of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. And so, everything we did that we've done so far was an introduction to the prayer, the actual prayer itself in terms of how you pray, and those other issues related to it will begin in sha Allah in the next chapter. So does that mean the faithful attendance and your patience and escolares xojo the rewards you abundantly and that he gives us own understanding of this religion.
And I also recommend that you go back and revise your notes and you revise this knowledge. Because as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, knowledge is like a straight common, if you leave, it runs away. So actually, I think it's a statement of one of the scholars, maybe not a Hadith, but the point is that you should revise that knowledge, otherwise, you'll forget it. And so that's something which is some general advice. So with that, if there's any questions, inshallah, we'll take some questions, otherwise, you cannot go home. So there won't be a lecture tomorrow. That was the point of that conclusion. So there's not a lecture tomorrow, inshallah.
And then, inshallah, the next lecture will begin with the lighter Allah sometime in January or February.
In terms of buying and selling a machine, what it means is that you don't do it physically in the machine, doesn't mean that the man Kumbaya in southern Colombia businessman, right, but if he does that business outside of the machine, or even for example, the machine itself has a business. So like, for example, you know, buy and sell CDs and DVDs in this question, but it's not done here. Not done in here. Also, one of the things that you have looked then is that where the profit goes to, is an individual or is it back to the question, because the profit center allowed for people to give sadaqa in the masjid, and he auctioned things in the masjid. And he asked for people to compete with
one another in giving sadaqa in the masjid. So if there is a benefit to the Muslims, that goes back to the Muslims or to the masjid, that's different, are we talking about his personal business here. So if it is a personal business where a person personally benefits from that, that's not in the masjid. But it can be done outside. So whether it's done, you know, outside of the lobby outside, as in, you know, like in the car park, outside of what is considered to be the machine, and the law knows best.
If you're in the discipline,
you don't have to do. What do you do? If you don't have Waldo, and you can't have access to water? You don't have access to water, make him make the moment and pray?
Is it compulsory to pay those two records when you come into the machine? Yes,
it is, unless it's the permitted time, in which case there's a difference of opinion. But otherwise, yes, because the processor would allow anyone to sit until they did so. And if it wasn't worship, then he wouldn't have ordered people to do so to the extent that if he was on the main bar, giving a hot bath, and someone came into the muster during the Juma prayer and they sat down, he would stop his foot and he would say, stand up and pray and be quick in your prayer and then sit down. So meaning that don't stand and pray like for 20 minutes, meaning prayer to rise as quickly as you can, and then sit down. So he would even break his butt off, to instruct people to do so. And that shows
how, how much of a strong obligation it is.
So the point of playing these two rock piles is that you shouldn't sit down in the machine until you pray, does that literally mean has to be those two records. So if a person comes into the machine and the Muslim prayers become Orisha or any other prayer, and they pray, and then they're sitting down, because in the pray, you have to sit down anyway, you'll be sitting down by the end of the prayer doesn't mean you have to stand up now on three those two records. So the meaning of the Hadith is that you pray before you sit down. And that's what it's known as the here to master the greeting of the masjid. This prayer is known as the greeting on the machine that when you enter into
the masjid, you should pray and then sit down. And that's why one of the signs of Yama, Yama, one of the minus signs of normal piano is that people will use the masjid as a pathway. That's a sign of human piano. What it means is that people won't come and pray. They just use it because it's easier to instead of walking around to just go through the masjid, and so on. You see this now especially like for example, in Makkah and Medina where to go from one side of the harem to the other, if you go around is much longer if you go through much shorter. So if a person is going through, at the very least they should
Regardless because the mesh is not there for like, you know, it's not a choice from an ease of access stead to worship Allah you have to for the worship of Allah. So you pray, and then if you need to carry on you carry on. And so the point is to greet the masjid with the prayer with Western with Torah as an obligatory prayer or another prayer, all of that is allowed.
So if you mean they just stand until them if they just stand on Yes, if they just come into the machine, and they don't sit down and they stand, then yes, but if, for example, a person just wasting the time standing around obviously is better for them to pray for the reward. But in terms of the prohibition, yes, they can stand.
No, because loans are not buying and selling. Buying and selling is no like, this is a right that that person alone is a right that that person has that is asking back for. And so the process of selling would reconsider in these types of issues and you wouldn't prohibit them that's different for person Buying and selling.
Although both of them have an element of the dunya but even that I think that is better to like avoid doing in the machine
just to stay away from any potential difference of opinion.
Bismillah
