I believe. Right? So those are the opposites
of how to do that.
And where we stopped last time and and
and remember that I talked to you about
the purpose of these seven qualities
is to bring about a sense of awe,
a sense of profound respect for the sacred.
One of the core values of Islam. Quran
Quran says whoever
honors the sacred things which God has recognized
as sacred, that is a sign of taqwa.
The idea of something being sacred is important.
Look at the angels
when
they said, you
know, Are you gonna create something that spreads
blood and corruption?
And then when Allah says, you know, in

but we recognize your sacredness. Right? So the
angels immediately
when they when they speak to God, they
acknowledge this the sacredness of Allah. It's very

which is called Sifa al wujudiyah,

no ending.
The opposite is wilada and mote.

we said Allah Subha Ta'ala is
in complete opposition to created things. That means

salbiyah.

you keep making mistakes,
and even if I were to forgive you,
I can't forgive you to Jannah.

you want to. It's something you can opt

many things cause your b to b.

who provides you everything.

Islamic sense of the word that we look
after the Prophet who said all creation are
dependent on Allah,
and the best of you are those who
are good to his dependence.

So no one can forgive except Allah. No

Allah Subhanahu Waheed.
So everything
in the world
is an extension
of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's power and authority.
Yeah, Fatima, what I mean by transcending the
physical is if we say that Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala is
like the physical world, will matter,
can't create itself,
nor can it destroy itself,
so then that would make Allah matter.
But Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la is the Khalaq
Musabib
Kulshe
is the one who causes everything to happen.
So he's beyond
the physical laws that we understand.
And if you think about it as human
beings, it's almost impossible for us
to think without
a story, a beginning, a middle, and an
end.
If you study physics and astrophysics, it's like
incredible, the idea of time.
You realize like even these moments in time
that we're experiencing are like drops in the
desert.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is beyond
all of those things. Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
The opposite of oneness,
you all know this is shirk.
How many of you ever studied Tawhid like
this before?
Usually when we study Tawhid, we just study
this.
And of course, this is like really important.
We don't study this other stuff. And what
happens is sometimes that leads us to kind
of like a dry moment, like someone just
text me and they're like, man, this totally
changed my life. Right? Masha'Allah.
Allah make it that way.
But this, we want to engage, of course,
and that's why it's important to study, like,
proper texts
so that we have a proper faith.
Now,
before we move on,
how how should this impact us?
Like, honestly, like, we shouldn't just study this
just to know. Right?
Like information in Islam, information leads to transformation.
To understand,
you know, that information leads to transformation.
So the first
is wujud.
My teacher used to say,
that the fruit of knowing Allah exists
is that you'll never be depressed, man.
Never feel alone.
Like, what does that mean for someone your
age? Allah has your back.
You know, sometimes maybe you're at school, you're
nervous,
people make fun of you.
I met this girl last year, Supalla, the
Syrian refugee in Pittsburgh.
She was
assaulted in her bathroom at school. I went
to her house, man. I had tea with

Right? So knowing Allah exists

Like, can you imagine trying to understand coronavirus

having
Allah? Like, can you imagine
if someone else they had is their, like,

iPhone playlist is gonna carry me through this.
There'll be, like, no no real meaning. So
but even Allah Subhanu wa Ta'ala exists gives
us like a grammar
for life.
Number 2,
Allah has no ending and no beginning.
That's gonna allow me not to get caught
up in the cult of buy this, you're
better,
wear this, you're better like I have a
daughter that's 18, I have a daughter that's
10 months, mashallah. That means
with an 18 year old, no disrespect to
you guys, I don't sleep in the day.

beginning, no ending,
we'll know that our security is with Allah
and that we should not be unhealthily attached

not an unhealthy attachment.
The 4th,
That Allah is not like anything in the
physical world.
So that should lead me to be sincere
in my worship. When I make dua, I
know I'm making dua to something beyond all
of these regulations.
Allah is free of regulations, and that takes
us to the next,
qa'im.
That Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the all
powerful,
the independent.
You know what that should lead you to?
That should lead you to your dreams.
You know, you should talk about your dreams.
Muslims, we don't talk about dreams.

and it should inspire us to be brave.

an Arabic word by the way. Andalus is
a Burberry word which means Bilad al Mugrimin.
Andalus means the land of criminals.
The Arabs used to be terrified of Europe.

he said, wallahi,

Andalus. This is the worst joke I ever
heard in my life.
And they started arguing. He said no no
no no no. Just just really really ask

after 30 years, Andaluz became the Andaluz that

He was looking good. He was old,
in his fifties.
And he said,

be a donkey man.

go to Andalus.

Bring these 3 guys in that neighborhood. They're

the neighborhood. Find them. And this is a
good lesson. People that don't have dreams don't
go anywhere.
I remember when I wanted to memorize the
Quran, all my friends wanted to play video
games and basketball.
I said, I can't do that. I gotta
memorize the Quran.
Till this day, they still like to play
video games and basketball,
Which is that, you know, a little bit.
This could, but not 5 hours a day.
They brought those 3 guys to the king.
They walk in
