Hadith of the Day #01 – Having Tawakkul In Allah

One of the most important things that we learn from our life is that when we talk to other people, when we converse with people, a lot of times we don't know whether what we are taught what what people are telling us are the truth or not. Whatever Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam has told us everything that he has done, it is pointing to the fact that he is truly first of all, the messenger of allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and that means that his character points out that he is the prophet. His miracles point at the fact that he is truly the prophet, His prophecies, his accomplishment, His miracles, and everything that we find in the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, it points to the

fact that he is truly the messenger of allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And we also learn that whatever the Prophet alayhi salam told us, may it be even 1400 years ago, whether it is about 1400 years later, or whether it's about any other incident or event that is about to take place in the future. If we find something in the hadith of Rasulullah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we have to have Iman, in Yaqeen in the fact that this is the Absolute Truth, And subhanAllah today we are living in difficult times, a times where people may have doubt in the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that the Prophet has said something 1400 years ago, but is it true or

not today? And that is why when you say the seed of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you have the Sahaba, first of all, who had the utmost amount of conviction in the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. But what's also truly astonishing, is the fact that those who did not believe in the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, those who rejected the message of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, even they had conviction, in the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam SubhanAllah. I mean, think about you don't believe a man and what he's preaching, but you have your opinion, and you have conviction in his words. This is how strong the words of the Prophet

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam are. No, it is the other way around. First you tie your camel and then you you put your trust in Allah subhanho wa taala. So this is why what this actually means is that first we have to do what is within our own capacity, we cannot simply sit there and say, Oh Allah, you will take care of it and Allah will simply take care of it. Yes, we have to do our own part. We make dua to Allah, we put our trust in Allah and this is where the work will comes in also into the picture is that whatever decision comes about Allah subhanho wa Taala we are also happy and we are pleased, and we are content with that with that decision that comes from Allah subhanho wa taala. Something we learned

from this hadith is something very important that has to do with nowadays what is going on is

the bird the Prophet Solomon is talking about this bird. Now, if this bird, as many people are saying that you know what, we'll go to the masjid, we will still go out everywhere. We won't take precautionary steps. We won't do what the state is telling us to do. We won't do what our city officials are telling us to do, which is to take precautionary steps in order to in order to stop in order to decrease the the spreading of this virus a lot we're taking we're taking this very lightly, and we're not taking precautionary steps. Once again, we have to do what we have to do. The bird is not sitting in his nest and say, Oh Allah give me what this bird is doing is that he's having to

work with Allah and he's leaving his nest. He's taking those steps that he has to do on his end. And then he's putting his reliance on Allah subhanho wa Taala that is what Allah expects from the bird. Now if the bird just sat in the necessary Oh Allah give me give me then that is not how Allah subhanaw taala he provides it is so once again the most the point the point I'm trying to make is we have to do what we have to do on our part and our deen by the way when it comes to especially not coming to the context of this Coronavirus, taking precautionary steps doing what we have to do leaving the rest of the hands of Allah. We have to take precautionary steps our deen by the way,

there is a concept in our deen of taking precautionary steps. For example, when you look at the idea of the Quran when Allah says Takara Zina, Allah subhanaw taala and do not even go close to Zina. What does Allah Subhanallah trying to say? He's telling us that do not take precautionary steps, do not go down that path that will eventually lead you to committing Zina. I mean that take all those precautionary steps that in itself is a that is a concept in our deen. If someone says I'm not going to take precautionary steps, I'm just gonna put my token Allah, then you're no different. You're no different than the person who said to the Prophet Salam that I leave my camera and then I put my

trust in Allah subhana wa taala. So this is why this is something very, very important. Now also part of doing our part and putting our work in Allah subhana wa Tala is never ever losing hope. You know, in times like these, a lot of times we you know, and this is why I will say that, please avoid reading everything online, whatever you read online, whatever you see on WhatsApp, take everything with a grain of salt. It may or may not be true. And a lot of times people read these kinds of things and they start losing hope. Will things go back to normal will will we go back to status quo again. And so what I'm trying to say is that we should never lose hope in Allah subhanho wa taala.

And we learn this idea in this concept from Rasulullah sallallahu

Allah He was Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was the epitome of hope. He actually taught us what hope means. He taught us from his life, that no matter what the situation is, and none of us can say that we have it more difficult than Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Yes, this is something that probably the most I've never went through. But nonetheless, there were other challenges in the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, no matter what the situation was, go back to the CEDAW, when the person was in Makkah, the challenges that they went through, if you remember, there were three years, where they were

boycotted, and the challenges and the difficulties that the Muslims had to endure that time. It is something that I don't think any of us can probably can probably handle. And yet Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and his followers and his Sahaba and the women and the CIM that time, they all went through this challenge, but they came out strong. They came out on the other end, believing more in Allah subhanho wa Taala coming out, you know, they were more connected to Allah Subhana Allah to Allah. So the problem taught us that no matter what the situation is, you can never lose hope and Allah subhanho wa taala. And think about this, if I'm making dua today, and I'm making

dua, and I'm saying, Oh Allah, save us from this calamity, oh, Allah relieve us from this challenge. And I'm thinking in the back of my head that might do is not going to be accepted. And I'm thinking at the end of my, in the back of my mind, that this is the end of the world and I'm going to die. And you know, and these are, you know, some ideas that people have in their mind that allows this is the end of this is the end of the story, and this is the end of the line, then where is our hope in Allah subhanho wa Taala when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, for example, that, you know, make dua when it rains, because that is when the laws are accepted nowadays, especially if

you're living in the south east part of the United States. It is constantly raining, every time it rains, part of hope is making dua to Allah subhanho wa taala. And having that European having that conviction that if the province has some said it, as I said in the beginning of this talk, if the province has some said it, it is the truth, no matter what it is the truth, I can say whatever I want to say, but the words of how some can never be a lie. That's why we should never ever lose hope. And we learned this from the Sierra of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. In fact, what we learn from the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam is that every situation that he had to endure,

he made that he, you know, what I will say is, he benefited from that he took he, he, he created a situation where he made that situation and advantage for him. And so this is why if you go back to the seed of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, no matter what the situation was, even if you have to go through difficulty, the Prophet SAW Allah who it was some he took advantage of the situation. And you know, this saying, this reminds me of a story. It's a fictional story. But nonetheless, just there's a moral to the story. And you know, there's a I remember, I came across a story some time ago,

it was about a donkey that fell into a well, and the owner comes to the well, and he sees that, you know, my donkey has fallen, fallen all the way down to the bottom of the well, there's no way I can bring them out. So let me just bury him alive. So he brings everyone in the village, and they start putting dirt upon this upon his donkey. Now, what this donkey actually did was, he turned this into an advantage situation. So what he did was that as the dirt was falling, he put that dirt underneath him. And as the dirt was coming, the more the dirt was coming, the more he was coming back up, and eventually he came out. The moral of the story is that you know, using the situation, it may be a

very negative situation.

But using that to our advantage, and the question is, how do we use this time as an advantage? And the answer is that you know, a lot of times we don't get time to connect to Allah. A lot of times we don't get time to read Quran a lot of times you don't get time to pray salon as a family. In this time in these times when we are at home, wake up with your entire family and praise the Lord pray salted Fajr as a congregation at home, if you can, or at the bare minimum wake up everyone for salata. Fajr at home, pray you know, read the Quran together, if you can study together if you can read a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam collectively as you can. This is a good

time for many of us to spend time with our families to spend time with our children to catch up on things that we were never able to catch up on. But the most important thing I'm trying to make is that using the negative situation to our advantage, we learned this from the CEDAW the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So I asked Allah subhanho wa Taala that he gives us all of us ability to act has been sent or hurt once again.

The most important thing is part of the walk call is to take precautionary steps to do what we have to do in our capacity. That means that please, please, please, everyone. This is not a mini vacation. This is not a vacation where we just keep on going around socializing and going other places. If we are told to hunker down, if we're told to stay at home by our city officials, we have to listen to them in order to prevent the spread of this virus. And you know, I've said this before, I'm going to say it again. The longer we take to take precautionary steps, the longer it will take to overcome this problem. That is the absolute truth I'm telling you. So this is why it is very

important. Please, please, please, this is part of our thing. taking precautionary steps is part of our deen. If I say once again, I'm not going to take precautionary steps steps you are neglecting a major part of our routine.
