Bismillah R Rahman r Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa salatu salam ala Maria, you will miss any Nabina Muhammad Ali.
We praise Allah subhanho wa Taala we send blessings and salutations upon Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we ask Allah subhana wa Jalla to bless him and all his household his companions. May Allah subhanho wa Taala bless every single one of us as well.
My brothers and sisters, the verses we've read this morning,
are very serious verses that make mention of the punishment of Allah subhanho wa Taala they make mention of jahannam and some of the the descriptions of what will be happening in the fire of hell. May Allah protect us from it whenever the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam read verses where punishment was made mention of he paused for a moment and made it to our to Allah to protect him from that punishment. And whenever they were verses of goodness he may do and that Allah bless him from that goodness and us all May Allah subhanho wa Taala bless us. So last week we had heard the verses of how Allah Subhana Allah to Allah created us and the fact that he has given some people
more in terms of life and age than others, some pass away very early in infancy childhood, perhaps teenage years later on in the early adulthood and so on. And some are given a life span. That is very, very long. All this is part of the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala none of us is able to choose when we want to die or no one was able to choose when they were to be born.
My mothers and sisters, this life is so short, so short, that before you and I know it, it will be over it will be completely gone. And the only thing that is going to help us our deeds, it is something we need to keep repeating. We seek Allah's forgiveness and we ask Allah to grant us reality. The verses I started with Allah says, verse number 68, it is he who gives life and causes death. That is Allah. That's what we started with today. It is he who gives life he gave it in the first place, no one had the choice. No one else gives life. No one gives life even to a grasshopper, or even to a fly, or even to a mosquito or anything else. It is Allah subhanho wa Taala, who gives
life and it is he who gives death or who causes death, it is he who makes things die. Why? Because this life was never ever meant to be
longer than a certain period of time. It was never ever meant to be going into eternity or eternal. It is not an eternal life, it was always just a temporary life. Allah says, I am going to give you a body that is a temporary body, you will go into a place that is a temporary place it is known as the world and we will let you live. But in essence, all we are sending you therefore is to see what you do. Will you worship the one who made you? And will you prepare for the day you go back to meet him? Or will you forget it and become drowned in what is around you in terms of the lights and the glamour as we always say. So those who are so interested in what is around them that they think that
this is eternal. They are fools because they too will die like everybody else died. You know, you amass millions and billions and at the end of the day, even if you have trillions, you still have to go and when you go those trillions cannot do anything for you. Nothing zero, nobody will be able to say because I had a trillion let me pay my way into paradise. No. But whilst you're alive, you can use that money wisely in order to earn the place in paradise to the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala my mothers and sisters, Allah says it is he who gives life and causes death.
And when he decrees a matter, he says unto it be and it is, he does not say anything but be and it is when he wants to make something he just says, Let it be all be and it is in the Arabic language.
That means B and this is why they say the instruction of Allah is between the calf and the noon. Which means those two letters put together is a command of Allah. When he says that things are created
any form of existence, things that never existed suddenly brought into existence. Some Han Allah, this is Allah, this is Allah. And Allah says, he made in the first place in another place in the Quran, Allah says, It is he who created therefore he has the right to instruct and to decide. It's a must decision. Allah made so he knows he can do what he wants. It's his creation. We are part of the creation of Allah. So Allah can do what he likes with us. Whatever he wants to do with us, he can do it. This is a man so worship him and him alone. We spoke on Friday, at the masjid about death, seeing that quite a few people have passed away in our own community and society. today. I just got
news of one of my father's upstairs we're talking about Poland,
who passed away as well. So we asked a lot to grunting gentlemen, may Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us all gender he was 90 above 90 years old. And so hon Allah He spent his life teaching people and helping them towards the deen. We ask Allah to grant us the same opportunity to teach people and to bring them towards the deen. But at the same time, we have to go whether we will live to 90 or to 100 we still have to go. Allah Subhana Allah to Allah says,
Do you not consider? Do you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? How the averted look at how they are of it. Those who want to argue about the verses of Allah.
Those who want to argue about the instructions of Allah, the verses of Allah, that which is revelation from Allah, they will be averted and diverted, because they want to argue that's what it is. We say, we are allowed to question when we don't understand in order to understand, but we are not allowed to dispute what Allah has revealed because that makes us disbelievers. So if someone has one understanding and they want to question how others understanding it or why others are saying what they are, they may question in order to educate themselves in order to understand but if we question in order to defy and to
deny and to argue that look, Allah said this, but it's wrong. A few days ago, someone told me that there is a man who believes that all the sutras of the Quran are okay but surah lab is not okay. So he does not read that surah he passes the Quran 113 Sutras, and that one, he says, no, that that's not right. Why? Because how can I have cursed someone in the poor and the reality is when Allah has done something, he knows why he has done it. It is to show that there are some people who with their own deeds, their own hands, they fight Allah and His messenger and they fight what is right. If you defy Allah, Allah can destroy you. One smacking is everything is over Subhana Allah, if Allah once
and Allah has destroyed so many in the past, that does not mean that Allah is bad. No, it's his mercy that dictates that sometimes when people hear an admonition, they take heed, because they've seen others being admonished when you you know, when you discipline one child, the other children will witness it. And they perhaps will, you know, be deterred. The same applies when it comes to the penalties of the Sheree. And they are quite hard. The reason is, thereafter, you will find a lot of peace and order if one person engages in murder, and is found guilty of it according to whatever the laws are, and is thereafter executed. The others who witnessed that this person was caught after
they committed a crime and was dealt with so harshly will not commit that crime. But when the laws are so relaxed, and when everything is so smooth, and you know, people who look at robbing and they think, Okay, I will rob a few billion, and I will only go to jail for five years because I've got some top lawyers, and perhaps we can give back hand this to this judge and the other one, and then they go in for five years and come back, we'll keep on robbing and we'll encourage others to rob as well. So the Sherry looks at it from a different perspective and says we'd rather be hard on those who are perpetrators in order to deter those who have not yet done that, who might be thinking about
it. May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant the safety in the dunya as well as in the afternoon, my brothers and sisters, all my mothers and sisters, the reality is Allah knows why he sends down what he sends his law is final, if we believe and we call ourselves muslimeen, we will adopt we will understand we will surrender we will try to understand and when we are questioning, we will not question in order to defy, but rather in order to understand, like someone might ask, please explain to me why a woman gets x percentage and a man gets x percentage at the time of death. So we will then be explained why. But if we are defining a signal that's very unfair, it's unjust. We are
playing a game with a law and we will lose that game.
We are defining how can we call ourselves Muslim? When we are not surrendering? The term Muslim means one who submitted and if we have not submitted we are lying. So just say look, I'm not a submitter. I don't submit May Allah subhanho wa Taala make us from those who understand. So this is why Allah says do you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah, how they are averted? Look, look at them. And now you're sort of on Who are they alladhina camdeboo bill kita Obama arson Abu Lana, Allah says,
those who deny the book The Quran, they deny the Quran, and they deny that with which we sent our messengers, they are going to know soon for Sofia alone, they will know very soon when the shackles are around their necks and the chains they will be dragged in boiling water, may Allah protect us, I told you there is description of jahannam in these verses, they will have shackles around their necks, and the chains and they will be dragged in boiling water and then in the fire they will be filled with flame, hot flame thrown into the fire, then it will be said unto them. Where is that which you used to worship? with Allah call on to those all the items? Or the people whoever it was
the graves, the saints, the trees, whatever else it was called them? Let's see where are they? How can they help you today?
Call unto those Where are those who you used to worship besides Allah or associate with Allah in worship? other than Allah, they will say they have departed from us. Okay, the answer may have left us we all alone, all alone. And you know, it's quite simple. When a person dies already in the grave there is evidence that a person is all alone, everyone we bury them alone. This is what Allah says in one verse that made me weep last week when I read this verse again. Allah Subhana Allah says in the Quran, so hon Allah, Allah it is so touching. It is something that makes us cry. Allah says
Well, according to Muna, Florida karma fall upon and
what a rock
Man, come on.
Come on man. Come
Alive speaking of the day when the people will come alone, Sing unto Allah alone, Allah says, and you have come here to us all alone, and you have left behind all you have left behind all that which you had around you, everything we gave you, surrounded you, your children, your wealth and all the comfort that you had, the people who are around you, the things you that were around you the wealth, the health and everything you left behind, you have come to us alone, you're here you are single, just you and us. That's what Allah says. So Allah says, We don't see with you, all those that you used to worship besides Allah or with Allah, we are the Allah says, the avenues to the market
completely, totally. It's just you and I, may Allah make us prepare for that day. This is why we say always ask Allah, Allah have mercy on me the day I returned to call out to Allah alone, call out to Him that is the best bet. It is the best that you have the best thing you could ever do, to call out to Allah alone.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala says, they will be asked, Where are these? Where are they? We don't see them. And they will say, No, they've left us, they have departed from us. Rather, we did not use to invoke them previously in anything, look at the light. They used to worship, sticks and stones and graves and whatever else and trees and donkeys and monkeys, and cows and whatever else, everything that was worshipped besides Allah. Allah says, okay, where are they? We only see you here
Subhana Allah so firstly, they will say, Well, they've left us then they'll say, but we never really used to worship him. Why? Because they find there is no way out of this on this day. May Allah protect us. This is why worship Allah and Allah alone. Islam is based on worshipping Allah alone, alone. That's it. That's what Islam is all about. Allah, his power, his qudra why he has kept illness amongst us. He knows why he causes death. The way he does, he knows why there are problems and difficulties in the world. He knows everything is supposed to draw us closer to him. That's what it is. When he gives you you're supposed to be drawn closer to him. When he takes away from you.
You're supposed to be drawn closer to him. Some are drawn through abundance, others are drawn to Allah through the lack of items that they want. Or the taking away of items they have Allahu Akbar, Allah grant us closeness to him. Remember, always ask Allah for a good death. Do you know what is a good death?
A good death is a death. When Allah is pleased with you, that is the best death no matter what type of physical injury you may have had,
as a result of which you died, or sickness or whatever it was mishap that is irrelevant. Whether it was a heart attack or an accident or a murder or a war or whatever else it was all that is irrelevant. What is of relevance is, is Allah pleased with you? If he is, that's a good death. If he isn't, it's a bad death. It's actually something very, very bad. Even if you died, you know, peacefully in your sleep, as they say, there will be no peace after the death. So what's the point? It's called a bad death. This is why we say ask Allah for a good death. Allah subhanho wa Taala be pleased with us.
So Allah says,
Thus does Allah put a strain on the disbelievers. Allah puts a strain on the disbelievers. Now one might ask, so Allah put them astray. Well, Allah tells us in the Quran that anyone who tries sincerely to look for the guidance, he will find the guidance, but when people are not sincere, they will not find the guidance. So in order to look for guidance, you need sincerity and you need to try hard when Ludhiana jaha Davina than adnoc kulana those who struggle and strive sincerely to come towards us, we will open our doors of guidance for them. We will open our doors for them.
We will guide them towards our paths.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala then says the angels will say that was because you're used to
that was because you used to exalt upon the earth without rights.
And you used to behave insolently
let's take a look at the Arabic words Allah subhanho wa Taala says daddy can be makuta for nothing.
That is because you used to be so happy with your portion on the earth. You forgot that there is a life after death because you were so excited with what you saw today.
This is what happens, you know, while law heats effects from the time we're born and we grow up the first things we have the toys, and the clothes and the noises and the sounds and the little. Nowadays, you have electronic gadgets and remote control gadgets. And from the little time the kids are interested in their cars and the games and everything was alone, he's not in the equation. He was never in the equation. Why? Because the world around here is just too beautiful. Just too sweet. Just so great, you know? So what happens? They grow up, everyone starts seeing everything around the go to school. Why? Because I need education. Why? Because I need to earn some money. nobody's saying
no. But what happened to Allah is you're not supposed to be in the equation. Hey, hang on, hang on, we still young man, you know, we still need to go to school. So we the to the schools, we choose our chosen on whether or not the child is going to come up with A's and so on. It must be a top school. These other schools don't even have any form of you know, recognition with anyone. So why send them there? You know, like they say madrasa is, by the way, by the way, may Allah subhanho wa Taala safeguard us? How do you know your child is going to see the age of 10? Oh, what if your child dies at nine? Are you going to bury the child with all the remote control cars, and all the games and
Allah forgive us. So this is what Allah says, he became happy with the world, you became excited with what was around you, you saw everything and you lost focus, you failed your test. We sent you there to test you, you failed your test, you came back to us. And there is no rewriting while you're alive, you will keep on being reminded. So you can go back and correct your paper because you hand in your paper at the end of your life. So in between, you can change you can chop you can get new sheets to write on, you can take those old pages and throw them away and get new ones and start writing all over again your test. And that's the beauty. It's called Toba forgiveness, repentance.
So Allah is saying, don't wait for the day you come back to us. And then you find that you know what, what I did was all just a deception.
We get so excited Believe me, technology has advanced leaps and bounds. But man has gone further away from Allah at times.
Unless if God is so alive, reminding us the angels will tell these people who will be thrown into hell. Do you know why you are in hell? It is because you used to be used to be so excited in the world, you became happy with what you had on earth without right. And you used to behave in a way that showed arrogance. It showed that you are lost completely you have forgotten that there is an Allah that you're going to return to people to themselves, May Allah forgive us. Really, even if one has tattooed himself or herself, or has pierced themselves in more than 20 places around their bodies. Allah will still forgive them if they seek forgiveness, believe me, but they need to seek
that forgiveness because it's wrong. The body is an Amana it is not yours evidence that it is not yours is death, d A g h, that is evidence that the body is not yours. If it was yours, you tuck it away, and you know, take it along with you. But you can't. It's going to go You're not even going to take your body with you. You're not even going to take your shadow with you. Nothing is going to come with you. Where is it going to go? You're going to leave it on earth and you're going to carry on whatever you found on Earth, you're going to leave on Earth, your test was only how you spent your time whilst you were on Earth. That's it. You know, it's like when you're making biscuits,
baking biscuits, you put it into the oven for a little while and you take it out, you take it out too soon What happens? The biscuits not done. You leave it a bit too long. What happens? It's burnt, so you need to be a top cook top chef Subhan Allah. May Allah subhanho wa Taala help us so that we live our short lives, very short lived in a way that neither have we transgressed, nor have we faltered in our duties unto Allah, you need to do that which is just right. And the beauty is if you say I'm sorry, Oh ALLAH forgive me. He says no problem.
Here everything is okay. May Allah subhanho wa Taala forgive us. So these are powerful reminders, reminding us to fulfill our duty unto Allah. Allah subhanho wa Taala says, once they will be told that then the angels will tell them enter the gates of hell to abide eternally they're in and Richard is the residence
of the arrogant. Wow, Allahu Akbar. Allah protect us all. Imagine these are verses that are quite hard. These are verses that are very vivid. These are verses that are quite scary, if we will do it in that way. Why? Because Allah subhanho wa Taala is telling us that the instruction will come into hellfire. Imagine the Most Merciful for the most forgiving, most merciful to tell someone or to instruct that someone be entered into hellfire. They must have
done something seriously wrong? seriously wrong Subhan Allah, you know, they say that, oh, if Allah is most merciful, why would he punish anyone? Well, the truth is, take a look at any country on Earth, and any justice system on Earth.
The most, just of all those systems if we were to bring it across, and someone committed a crime that deserved for them to be penalized in the harshest way, should we blame the law? Or should we blame the individual? You don't blame the law? The law was there, and everyone knew it. But the individual is to blame because they perpetrated they did something heinous, they engaged in something that was unacceptable, and unforgivable crime. in Allah's eyes, every crime is forgivable, but you know that unless you die in that condition without seeking forgiveness. Imagine if a person murders and they are so excited about it, they want to merge it again and again, and they have not
repented from it. And they are proudly saying, we're going to do it again and again and again. And they die in that condition. Now what do you want to learn to do?
They're proud of their sin. This is why we say Oh Allah, where we have sinned, it's never out of defiance of you, but it is out of human weakness from us. We ask Allah Subhana Allah, Allah to forgive us.
So Allah says, be patient with them, oh Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Indeed, the promise of Allah is the truth, it will come to pass, be patient with them.
First bill in Nevada law.
And whether we show you some of what we have promised them, or we take you in depth, we take you away.
It is to us that they will be returned, you might see them being punished in this world, you might not see in them, see them being punished in the world. This verse shows us that Allah May punish people in the world and he may not punish people in the world, he might choose to leave that punishment for the Hereafter, and he might choose to punish them in this world. So that's all up to Allah, some people he punishes them in the world and some people he doesn't. And some people He grants them goodness in on earth and some people he doesn't. Some people He grants them, goodness in the hereafter alone and some people in both and some people are punished in both places. So Allah is
telling Muhammad Sallallahu wasallam if we were to show you some of what we have promised them, whether we show you that punishment or not. They are still going to return to us they have no option. Someone harms you, someone murders someone steal, someone does something wrong to you. Ultimately, they still have to die. So if they did not see the justice, or if you did not see the Justice being meted out here in the dunya don't think that they're going to get away with it, they won't, it's going to come into our care. And that is worse. That is far worse.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala is giving that to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as a message for us all. And we've taken the lesson. So Allah subhanho wa Taala says, After that they will all be returned to us. And we have already sent messengers before you, amongst them, those whose stories we have related to you, and among them, those who stories we have not related to you. So many messengers, how many were there in number, we don't know. How many were they in number, we have no clue. They were large numbers. Allah says some of them we haven't even told you about them. mean human consciousness, a woman who
we sent so many messengers to so many people to all the people in the past. Allah subhanho wa Taala says, some of them we related their stories to you and some we haven't even told you about Subhan Allah.
Then Allah Subhana Allah Allah says,
and it was not for any messenger to bring a sign or a verse except by the permission of Allah. Everything that the messengers came with, was by the permission of Allah, the help of Allah, the power of Allah, do not worship the messenger, worship Allah, whatever they brought was from Allah clear cut verses. This is why I always repeat the statement that if you want to be protected from being fooled, all you have to do is read the Quran and understand it. Once you understand the Quran, nobody can fool you. You know, people were taking water. And I saw this on a little clip
where they had a certain man and they were washing his feet in busy drinking the water from his feet Subhan Allah, was he drinking the water from his feet, claiming that we are going to be blessed? Allah protect us if you had read the Quran, you would have known that they did not even do that to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam May Allah subhanho wa Taala safeguard us And may Allah subhanho wa Taala protect us in every way from this type of behavior may grant us that not only common logic and common sense but the belief in our hearts that we are going to return unto Allah we can we will not be returning to another creature of Allah.
Anahata This is why Allah says we sent so many messengers, but every messenger came with that which Allah granted him, Allah granted him and that was by the permission of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded, what will be concluded?
It will be judged in truth.
And the falsify is will there upon lose, whenever the fixed time of Allah comes, if Allah has chosen for someone, the destruction to be now it will be now, then the truth comes through and the false, those who are false have lost.
Like like the translator says, Here, the falsifies will there upon news, they will lose all everything. And the fixed time of Allah is also connected to the death of a person, Allah has chosen the time and another fixed time of Allah is the end of the world. That is also a fixed time of Allah, it will happen. How do we prepare for it? By asking Allah to forgive us by worshiping Allah alone, by asking Allah to have mercy upon us the day he takes us away. Allah says it is Allah who made you who made for you. Last week, we spoke about some of the things that Allah made for us. Here, Allah is making mention of some of the other things that he has made for us more things. He
says it is allowed or made for you, the grazing animals upon which you ride, and some of them you eat.
Have you ever thought, Why are the cows here? Allah says, we've created the cows, so that you can benefit from them, you benefit from them through their milk, you benefit from them by writing, you benefit from them, by using them to plow and so on by their skin, by their meat. And it's so many different ways. Allah says we have made we have created certain animals, these grazing animals, in order that you benefit from them Subhanallah even business to do business. And certain animals have been created as a test for us to say this, you don't go near it such as the pig, may Allah safeguard us. So
if we are to ask,
why is it that we cannot benefit from the pig? If Allah has declared it is dirty, it will be proven through science and medicine, that it is dirty. And even if science and medicine because of money wants to keep on using and promoting the stuff deep down, they know that it is dirty. And other religions, which have heavenly origin will confirm that the biggest deity including Christianity and Judaism, they will confirm that this is something we should not be touching. That is in their original teachings. And in Islam, we still have the same teachings, they've always been original, they haven't been changed. So here we are, I love tests you with the addition sign. And he tests you
with the subtraction sign, just like he tests you with the multiplication sign. And he tests you the division sign. What this means is certain things he makes for you, in order for you to benefit from, and certain things he makes them intentionally to test you whether you will abstain from them. So to engage in certain items is an act of worship, and to abstain from certain items is also an act of worship. This is Allah showing us that he's actually created us to test us therefore he has all the different ways of testing every probability, how can Allah have tested me he will test me before I die in those many ways. So through health through well through, through engaging in through
abstaining from through doing through not doing and so every single thing, how do you react to profit? How do you react to loss? How do you react to that which you've gained? And how do you react to that which you have perhaps lost? So on? May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us the passing of this beautiful test, and may He make it easy for us, you know, through His mercy, he's made us enjoy our days on Earth. Through His mercy, it's a test. It's like a big school. But whilst you're in the school, you can actually enjoy yourself. But ultimately, don't forget why you're in the school. You're in the school in order
to learn, to put into practice to write your tests to graduate with the best possible mark. But if you forget that and you focus on, you know, your friend who's sitting next to you, and that's it and holding you playing games and so on, then you wasted your time at school, you don't know why you were there. So Allah subhanho wa Taala says,
It is Allah who made for you the grazing animals upon which you ride and some of them you eat and for you, they are in other benefits
for you there in other benefits
and that you may realize upon them
a need which is in your chests, what is the need Subhanallah a lot you can actually engage in. So much more, you know carrying the loads going to distant places, there are certain places on
land that we still cannot move with any other transport besides the animal. So Allah subhanho wa Taala says so many other needs, which you have even business, you know, even doing dealing, buying and selling these things, all that is part of Allah gift. They are valuable these these animals are valuable. And also the tests that Allah has placed upon us regarding animals is how we treat them. And the treatment of animals would go as far as all the creatures of Allah, including those that are prohibited to eat, it does not mean we can be cruel to them. You cannot just be cruel to a pig solely because it's a pig and start throwing stones at it Not at all, even a pig. You need to
understand it is life. We won't eat it we will consider it unclean and so on. But we will also realize it's life given by Allah subhanho wa Taala we are not cruel to the creatures of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala says, and upon them and upon ships, you are carried, mentioned the water that Allah has blessed us with the oceans, the seas, how we have carried on the oceans by something that floats by the will of Allah, it floats, so much so that we we don't only use that as a mode of transport, but even for enjoyment. You know, you have jet skis, you have boat rides, you have you know, speed boat slides, you have so many different things, just enjoyment but a pastime and so on. These are all parts or a part of the gift of Allah subhanho wa Taala he says,
and he shows you his science, or you read it. It is Allah subhanho wa Taala who shows you His signs? Always he will show you his signs? Which is it of the signs of Allah? Do you deny? Or men which have the signs of Allah? Do you deny all men, all these are the signs of Allah, everything around us shows us that we are powerless and allies powerful, those who have created the most sophisticated weapons on earth shall also die.
And those who have done nothing on earth will also die. But who is eternal, Allah Allah. So Allah says, All this is to show you the power of Allah, Allah is the Almighty, just look at the tree, only a tree. If you look at the tree, these trees that are around us, I remember when I was four years old, perhaps the earliest memories I have. And I lived right here at this particular place where we are seated today. And I recall the trees around us, some of them are still there. And they were there when I was a kid and they were so big and huge. They perhaps were already 3040 years old. Today, they must be 7090 100 200 500 years old, who knows Subhan Allah will have to perhaps bring
the specialists to come and check how old the trees are. But Allah says that tree that you thought was so weak, you could have cut it down with one little strike of your axe, perhaps you know, nowadays, you have the electric saws and so on. You can bring it down. But remember, it lived far longer than most of you put together, put together.
A tree can live on for 1000 years. What about us? A few years and we already dying? If you're healthy now you're not going to be healthy in a few years time. Remember that it's not dooming anyone. I'm just saying reality. Its effect if you're alive now, guess what? You're not going to be alive. shortly. Allahu Akbar, Allah forgive us the day it takes us away. Like I said, that's the best thing you could ask for. May he be pleased with us the day we meet with him. That's it. If you have that, and you don't need to worry about anything else, nothing else. But how to achieve it. Try to be the best person you can try to worship Allah alone. You have to worship Allah, Allah, you have
no option. You cannot wish of anything but Allah. But wherever you fall to turn back to him quickly. Like I said, human nature makes us falter, not defiance of Allah. But there are some out there who defy Allah. I seen people who say God doesn't exist. And you know, there are a lot of people who are saying this today. They are defining Allah, how Allah will treat them he alone knows I don't need to do them. No one else needs to do them. It's between them and Allah, we continue to explain. They can continue saying what they want to, but at the end of the day, it's Allah who's going to decide what he wants to do with them. If he's given them warnings and he has in the Quran, then it's up to him
to mete out whatever he has warned them with, or not. May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant us goodness, may he protect us and our offspring from deviant beliefs. My mothers and sisters This is why Allah subhanho wa Taala says, Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them. They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and an impression on the land. But they were not availed by what they used to earn exactly what we said a few moments ago. powerful people more powerful than us. They lived before us, they had much more than us. They had greater strength, they lift greater impressions, look at the pyramids, look at the houses, of
the mood and so on that are present, go to Petra. See what it is.
travel across the earth. Allah says go and have a peep, go and see these people have had much more power than you. Where are they they have returned to us gone, nothing helped them at all. Just take a lesson. That's what I say, take a lesson. This is a test, whatever you've done on Earth
is irrelevant, except for the preparation you made for the hereafter. And remember, we're not saying don't go to school, don't enjoy your gadgets and your this, don't go on holiday. We're not saying that. All we're saying is whatever you do, remember, Allah is right at the beginning of your equation, not somewhere at the end, and not out of the equation. That's always saying Subhana Allah, remember that you owe an answer to Allah for everything you've chosen to do.
That's what a lie saying. So this verse number 82, Allah is telling us travel across the land, go and see, have they not seen what we've done to the others? others we had much more than them. They had a lot, they had much more, where are they today? They are gone. Then Allah says verse number 83. And when their messengers came to them with clear proofs with verses, they merely rejoiced in what they had, not in what they had of knowledge, but
they were enveloped, by what they used to ridicule. They had a little bit of knowledge. They thought, you know what we've earned because we're clever, we're sharp, we've got qualifications. We've got whatever we have, we have the ability we have the know how we have whatever else we have. So Allah says when the messengers came to them, and reminded them go back to Allah, they scoffed. Like today, people have PhDs, people have huge degrees, and they tell you, God does not exist. Well, those degrees Allah is telling them that you know what, that's not going to help you not at all.
They were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. They used to make a mockery of what the messengers used to say to them, one day, you're going to be punished. They say, what ha ha ha Subhan Allah, Allah protect us. And then when they die, we have a whole alone gone back to Allah. And I read the verse already, Allah says, Here you are,
alone, everything you had and everyone we gave you to have around you gone.
Now, what do you have to say to us? What did you do? What did you do in your life? That will allow us to know, May Allah forgive us and have mercy? May he make it easy for us? Because he tells us in the Quran, I will definitely question you. Definitely question you. Everyone is going to be questioned.
Allah make it easy for us. Don't ever ridicule the verses of Allah, the messengers, the reminders that come to you people tell you what is halal, what is haram, do not argue and debate in a defiant manner. You may want to question in order to understand no problem with that. But if you're a believer, Why call yourself a believer, when you don't believe
in Allah subhanho wa Taala says, Then, when they saw our punishment, they said, We believe in Allah alone, and we just believe in that which we used to associate with him too late.
See, after seeing the punishment, what's the point? It's like going to the exam room, and the teacher gives you or you cheat and look at all the answers.
What a fool. That doesn't mean, you pass the exam, you're just cheating. When the answers are clear, the examination is over, you need to know that you will be disqualified immediately. Same applies once the reality is made clear. And the answers are there in front of you. What's the point of believing in the unseen? So this whole life is a test in order to test us? Do we believe in Allah alone, the unseen
or not? And it's quite simple. It's logical. Actually, if you put your brain to it, you'll understand it quite simply looking at how people die looking at where they went. They were with us. Just now then the other day. They were with us. They were young. They were vibrant. They were prettier than us. They were they were perhaps richer than us. Where did they go? They gone? If you were to dig up the grave, you won't even find them there anymore. They actually disappeared into thin air. Meaning returned to the soil gone. And where's the soul? What happened to them? Why can't they talk anymore? Why did the heartbeat stock? Why did the eyes closed? Why did everything
happened? Allahu Akbar. Allah subhanho wa Taala. Grant us forgiveness. Allah says it's too late to wait for the punishment and say, Okay, let me see, like the disbelievers used to say, you telling us about the punishment that Allah punishes, then we will believe Allah says they fools. They want us to punish them before they believe even if we were to punish them, they would not believe.
When the last verse of this beautiful surah Allah subhanho wa Taala says,
but never did their faith benefit them once, or never did their faith benefit them once they saw our punishment. Once they see the punishment of Allah, faith at that time, doesn't benefit them because it's not actually belief in the unseen
Now believing in that, which you've just been, which you've just seen, but you've been warned about it, the test was regarding the unseen.
And here you've seen everything so the test is over. What's the point of writing the right the correct answers. Now, Allah says here, it is the established Way of Allah, which has proceeded amongst his servants. It is the established Way of Allah subhanaw taala. Allah to Allah Fie. It is the way of Allah. This is the way that Allah has chosen it will always happen, the good will get good and the bad will get bad. And Allah subhanho wa Taala says in the disbelievers there upon lost everything. That's the last verse of this surah we may we be protected from being those dis from amongst those who disbelieve May Allah guide those who disbelieve towards belief. May He strengthen
our belief and make us believe in Him correctly, such that we do not associate partners with him. My mothers and sisters What a beautiful lesson. Like I said, today's lesson was quite hard hitting it was very somber. And at the same time, Allah spoke about his punishment and he spoke about the disbelievers and this is something sometimes we also need to look into it in order to put a balance every time we listen to the mercy of Allah. Once in a while. We need to listen to what the punishment is all about as well. May Allah strengthen us May he make us from amongst the best of people are Sol Allahu wa salam o Baraka ala nabina Muhammad Subhan Allah Subhana Coloma vmdks
