00:01:24 --> 00:01:28

I have with recording these permanently is space on my phone,

00:01:28 --> 00:01:34

that's always a big issue for me because I have way too many apps

00:01:34 --> 00:01:38

and other things. So I leave them up for you know, the 24 hour

00:01:38 --> 00:01:42

period after the live starts. So that you if you want to anybody

00:01:42 --> 00:01:45

wants to record you can record

00:01:46 --> 00:01:50

with screen recorder, it's very easy way to do that there might be

00:01:50 --> 00:01:54

sit segments or clips. So inshallah you can try that

00:02:25 --> 00:02:28

00:04:37 --> 00:04:37

00:04:39 --> 00:04:45

respected teacher on to the live Bismillah welcome statuary doing

00:04:45 --> 00:04:45

so

00:04:46 --> 00:04:47

Salawa

00:04:48 --> 00:04:54

Hamdulillah. It is an honor for myself and everybody here. Who's

00:04:54 --> 00:04:58

joining you here. I've had several requests for a long time actually

00:04:59 --> 00:04:59

to do

00:05:00 --> 00:05:03

Can I do a program with you or something with you. So here we are

00:05:03 --> 00:05:06

a blessing. Thank you for thanks for having me. May Allah bless you

00:05:06 --> 00:05:10

for all the work that you do for our community, tirelessly,

00:05:10 --> 00:05:14

especially on social media, which is a platform, that's really

00:05:15 --> 00:05:18

the way to reach a lot the young people and a lot of the

00:05:18 --> 00:05:22

millennials and people who, especially at this time that you

00:05:22 --> 00:05:25

can go anywhere, so people are stuck in the massages are closed.

00:05:25 --> 00:05:28

So it's a good, medium and platform, so may Allah reward you

00:05:28 --> 00:05:32

and give you strength to continue. Thank you, we are in need of your

00:05:32 --> 00:05:36

dogs. I was just letting everybody know that we Inshallah, we're

00:05:36 --> 00:05:40

gonna try to use the time that we have together to get a lot of

00:05:40 --> 00:05:44

great insight from you, and then also try to address any questions.

00:05:44 --> 00:05:48

So with that said, let's go ahead and begin because I know there's

00:05:48 --> 00:05:51

people who are eager to hear from you. I don't think you need an

00:05:51 --> 00:05:55

introduction. I personally don't you are very well known martial by

00:05:55 --> 00:06:00

many people, but just in case there's one person on this live

00:06:00 --> 00:06:03

who may not have heard of you before, can you just share some of

00:06:03 --> 00:06:05

your background, your martial arts student of knowledge you've been

00:06:05 --> 00:06:09

studying for as long as I've known you, but you also have a special

00:06:09 --> 00:06:13

niche that you are globally known for? Can you please speak a little

00:06:13 --> 00:06:16

bit about your background and monitor him?

00:06:18 --> 00:06:21

Again, for having me on this platform, Allah reward you, bless

00:06:21 --> 00:06:24

you, and may Allah reward and bless everyone who joined in into

00:06:24 --> 00:06:25

them to this

00:06:26 --> 00:06:30

program, we hope that it's beneficial first and foremost for

00:06:30 --> 00:06:34

ourselves, for me, and our families, and then for everyone

00:06:34 --> 00:06:38

who is attending and inshallah I, you know, Hamdulillah we are our

00:06:38 --> 00:06:42

students, and we will remain student for as long as we live in

00:06:42 --> 00:06:48

that the path of our tradition. So it's always, there's always a path

00:06:48 --> 00:06:51

of learning. So it doesn't stop, there's no, there's not a point

00:06:51 --> 00:06:55

where you say, You know what, I've learned enough, and I'm done. And

00:06:55 --> 00:06:59

this is in then there are moments in your life when you read things

00:06:59 --> 00:07:02

and you understand things and something comes in your head. And

00:07:02 --> 00:07:05

then he looks at you, you look at your teachers and realize how

00:07:05 --> 00:07:09

insignificant you are, and how little you know about anything.

00:07:09 --> 00:07:13

And that's really what our tradition is about is about

00:07:13 --> 00:07:16

centerline chain. So you're connected this chain that doesn't

00:07:16 --> 00:07:20

give you arrogance, because it always keeps you humble, right but

00:07:20 --> 00:07:25

it also gives you that there are more more to learn. So then then

00:07:25 --> 00:07:27

you have that energy. I want to learn more because I know that

00:07:27 --> 00:07:31

there's more to learn. I've been a I've been passionate about poetry

00:07:31 --> 00:07:34

since I was a kid and it was something that I love that it

00:07:34 --> 00:07:39

should memorize songs and poems like since I was like a little kid

00:07:39 --> 00:07:43

and and in languages I didn't even understand what it was like, you

00:07:43 --> 00:07:43

know,

00:07:44 --> 00:07:49

I just love poetry but especially moulana Rumi's poetry Sadie

00:07:49 --> 00:07:54

Shirazi, Halford Shiraz, the you know, ATOD, Nisha Puri, somebody

00:07:54 --> 00:08:00

great Persian classic that the Afghans and Iranians and the

00:08:00 --> 00:08:04

people in subcontinent Indians, not the young generation, but the

00:08:04 --> 00:08:07

older generation, because when I meet a lot of the grandparents,

00:08:07 --> 00:08:12

Indian, and Pakistanis, they all have the Saudi memorized and by

00:08:12 --> 00:08:16

heart in Farsi, which is really amazing, because they learned it

00:08:16 --> 00:08:20

as part of the curriculum in India. But anyways, I just had a

00:08:20 --> 00:08:24

love for it. And I just wanted to learn it for myself. It wasn't

00:08:24 --> 00:08:27

like I wanted to memorize a poem to tell somebody about it. I just

00:08:27 --> 00:08:32

loved memorizing poetry. And it was something that gives me a lot

00:08:32 --> 00:08:37

of tranquility and solace and a way of just going inward. Because

00:08:37 --> 00:08:42

the world that I lived in grew up was very during the turmoil, it

00:08:42 --> 00:08:45

was, it was always, you know, during war in Afghanistan and

00:08:45 --> 00:08:48

migrating from one country to another country, from one nation

00:08:48 --> 00:08:51

to another nation. And then you end up in a place like in America

00:08:51 --> 00:08:54

where you don't speak the language you don't know the people you

00:08:54 --> 00:08:57

don't know the religion, you don't know anything. And just to you

00:08:57 --> 00:09:01

know, find your way in there was really difficult and it's still

00:09:01 --> 00:09:04

difficult. It's not easy. It's not something that I can say, you

00:09:04 --> 00:09:08

know, we have reached it, we are struggling our children are

00:09:08 --> 00:09:11

struggling those who are born in this country. So poetry has been

00:09:11 --> 00:09:12

something that cannot like,

00:09:14 --> 00:09:18

made sense of the situation that I was in, like, whether it was

00:09:18 --> 00:09:25

triumph, difficulties is victory, failure, all of them. The poetry

00:09:25 --> 00:09:28

came and helped me out to get to make sense out of the situation.

00:09:28 --> 00:09:32

So I love monana Rumi is my favorite poet. And I've been

00:09:32 --> 00:09:36

trying to share what I learned. That's all it is like what I

00:09:36 --> 00:09:39

learned from my teachers and from the books, I just want to share it

00:09:39 --> 00:09:43

with people so they can they can benefit as I benefit from it.

00:09:44 --> 00:09:47

Mashallah, for as long as I've known you, I've known this about

00:09:47 --> 00:09:50

you. You have you're also an entrepreneur, you have a business,

00:09:50 --> 00:09:53

named after Madonna Rumi, mashallah and you've globally

00:09:53 --> 00:09:57

traveled to share his beautiful works, and we're eager here in the

00:09:57 --> 00:09:59

US. I know many of us have seen you

00:10:00 --> 00:10:02

In the UK and Australia, in different parts of the world,

00:10:02 --> 00:10:05

Malaysia, you know, doing different programs, but I think

00:10:05 --> 00:10:08

we're really eager, you have an audience here in the US to hear

00:10:08 --> 00:10:10

from you. So that's why again, we're so appreciative of your time

00:10:10 --> 00:10:14

today to thank you for your kind words, I'm really appreciating.

00:10:16 --> 00:10:19

Thank you Now this topic of, you know, the value of time that which

00:10:19 --> 00:10:22

we're going to talk about today, I really, really want your insights

00:10:22 --> 00:10:26

from all that you've just shared with us about, again, paying

00:10:26 --> 00:10:29

attention to what's going on around you, and how poetry can

00:10:29 --> 00:10:34

find can help you find some peace. I love that perspective. But even

00:10:34 --> 00:10:37

you know, that we have so many wisdoms in our tradition, that

00:10:37 --> 00:10:40

really talk about the importance of time, the value of time and

00:10:40 --> 00:10:43

there's one specific Hadith. I know you're very familiar with the

00:10:43 --> 00:10:48

city. And I would love to go line by line with this hadith and get

00:10:48 --> 00:10:52

your insights on how we can again, have some perspective with what

00:10:52 --> 00:10:55

we're going through right now with this pandemic, with Ramadan around

00:10:55 --> 00:10:58

the corner and a lot of people struggling to make sense of how to

00:10:58 --> 00:11:02

you know, have have a peaceful or a good experience for this blessed

00:11:02 --> 00:11:06

month coming in the situation that we're in. So I'm going to read the

00:11:06 --> 00:11:09

Hadith and then I would I'll go ahead and just line by line ask

00:11:09 --> 00:11:12

you to share your thoughts on it. So for everybody listening, this

00:11:12 --> 00:11:17

is from the Muslim Imam Ahmed and prophesy Salam said in the

00:11:17 --> 00:11:21

following Hadith, he said, take advantage of five matters before

00:11:21 --> 00:11:26

five other matters. Your youth before you become old, your health

00:11:26 --> 00:11:31

before you fall sick, your wealth before you become poor, your free

00:11:31 --> 00:11:35

time before you become preoccupied, and your life before

00:11:35 --> 00:11:40

your death. So this hadith again, so powerful, so much wisdom in

00:11:40 --> 00:11:45

here. So if you will, please separate and take us through this

00:11:45 --> 00:11:49

hadith. Let's look at this first line. With regards to youth before

00:11:49 --> 00:11:54

you become old, please share some insights about for any, again, the

00:11:54 --> 00:11:57

people who are listening right now who may be youth themselves or

00:11:57 --> 00:12:00

have children any perspective you have to offer about the value

00:12:00 --> 00:12:04

that's similar many of our scholars, if you look at the

00:12:04 --> 00:12:09

traditional scholars as early and even coming to like her dad who's

00:12:09 --> 00:12:16

very close to our era, who in in * Abdullah, Al Ansari, and even

00:12:16 --> 00:12:21

Maulana Rumi, they all wrote about the subject of life and the

00:12:21 --> 00:12:25

concept of life and concept of time, which is the essence of, of

00:12:25 --> 00:12:29

the teaching of Islam. I mean, the Quran, if you look at the Quran,

00:12:29 --> 00:12:34

there's constantly verses about time, about the heart about, you

00:12:34 --> 00:12:37

know, also about you know, Fajr you know, while surgery while

00:12:37 --> 00:12:41

alien ash Allah mentions the Fajr indented, you know, what are

00:12:41 --> 00:12:46

these? These 10 Nights? What are the 10 days? What are the period

00:12:46 --> 00:12:50

of us? Why is Allah swearing by us? Allah doesn't swear by

00:12:50 --> 00:12:54

insignificant things. Like when you say Allah swear by the be

00:12:54 --> 00:12:59

like, Why is Allah mentioning a B? Now we know what a b not we didn't

00:12:59 --> 00:13:03

people didn't know. Some people knew that OER knew but the general

00:13:03 --> 00:13:07

public, they didn't know like, what is it like? Subhanallah look

00:13:07 --> 00:13:11

at the bee and what it does for creation, not just for the human

00:13:11 --> 00:13:14

being, I'm not talking about just the honey being a Shiva healing.

00:13:15 --> 00:13:19

And you know, a suite, but I'm talking about just just

00:13:19 --> 00:13:21

pollinating and but anyways,

00:13:23 --> 00:13:29

the first part of this hadith is, you know, youth is a is a gift

00:13:29 --> 00:13:36

from God, if you only know it when you lose it. And this is the sad

00:13:36 --> 00:13:41

thing that everybody you try to tell them because we missed out on

00:13:41 --> 00:13:45

our use. And one of the thing that the mom had that says about in the

00:13:45 --> 00:13:50

lives of men, he says that, just think about one thing Why did

00:13:50 --> 00:13:53

Allah give you so much energy during youth he didn't give you

00:13:53 --> 00:13:56

when you're a kid, he didn't give you your old. He gives you just

00:13:56 --> 00:14:02

when you're a youth a young man, he gives you so much energy, like

00:14:02 --> 00:14:06

you're just bursting with energy, right? He said there's only one

00:14:06 --> 00:14:12

reason he gave you that because the reward during youth that you

00:14:12 --> 00:14:14

can collect, you can collect it when you're old.

00:14:15 --> 00:14:19

It's so much reward you can do you can do pay on the lathe when

00:14:19 --> 00:14:23

you're young, and the reward is multiple times. Then when you're

00:14:23 --> 00:14:26

all because see, the thing is here's here's the secret of young

00:14:26 --> 00:14:26

and old.

00:14:28 --> 00:14:32

The Persian poet said that Giovanni tuba Kardan has like a

00:14:32 --> 00:14:37

table Marie's wanna her Gabriella Pirrie visa per his God. He said,

00:14:38 --> 00:14:42

those youth young people who make Toba and in the prime of their

00:14:42 --> 00:14:45

youth when they are young, they take on the characteristics of the

00:14:45 --> 00:14:46

prophets.

00:14:47 --> 00:14:51

He said let me tell you, even the fire worshippers when they get

00:14:51 --> 00:14:53

old, they become righteous.

00:14:54 --> 00:14:58

Because all these you don't have any energy to do any wrong. You

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59

are 75 year old man

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03

He's not welcome at the club anymore. Right? He's not walking

00:15:03 --> 00:15:07

with the parties anymore. Like he doesn't have the looks. He doesn't

00:15:07 --> 00:15:09

have the strength. He doesn't belong there. Hey, it's all the

00:15:09 --> 00:15:15

US. But when a young men turn to Allah, it is powerful. And this is

00:15:15 --> 00:15:18

why Allah give you that energy when you're young so you can

00:15:18 --> 00:15:21

collect all these reward and make your bank account the real bank

00:15:21 --> 00:15:24

account that's going to be opened up on the Day of Judgment fill it

00:15:24 --> 00:15:29

out when you're young. So Abdullah Ansari said a beautiful poem that

00:15:29 --> 00:15:34

became a proverb. He says that CUDA keep St. That Giovanni musty

00:15:34 --> 00:15:38

that purists who see Hodor Okay, per se St.

00:15:39 --> 00:15:42

He said if during your childhood you play when you're young you

00:15:42 --> 00:15:45

want to be must and you want to you know just party and have a

00:15:45 --> 00:15:49

good time. And when you're old you don't aren't so tired and have an

00:15:49 --> 00:15:52

energy when you're going to worship Allah subhanaw taala those

00:15:52 --> 00:15:56

are your three stages of life either you're a child, your youth,

00:15:56 --> 00:16:02

you're old man. So this is why it's important to to to take

00:16:02 --> 00:16:06

advantage the Arabs the latest Shabaab the young do that, you

00:16:06 --> 00:16:11

know, I wish that my youth will come back there's a famous Arabic

00:16:11 --> 00:16:17

proverb but the word that's used in there is later and later in

00:16:17 --> 00:16:21

Arabic Quranic Arabic is a vain wish that will not come true.

00:16:23 --> 00:16:26

Yeah, late any contoura by the Quran says they would say on the

00:16:26 --> 00:16:30

Day of Judgment, the kuffaar they say wish that we will dust the

00:16:30 --> 00:16:34

scholars of Quran they say then why isn't it that they become just

00:16:34 --> 00:16:38

What if their wish gets accepted? Right? And they become dust like

00:16:38 --> 00:16:41

the animal and they don't they don't get punished in the fire.

00:16:41 --> 00:16:47

But this is a later means a wish that doesn't come true. Right? A

00:16:47 --> 00:16:50

wish that doesn't come true as impossible which and that's why

00:16:50 --> 00:16:55

once you use your youth, you lose it. You're done with it. You will

00:16:55 --> 00:17:00

not have that energy. So my advice to myself to everyone I mean youth

00:17:00 --> 00:17:04

for us I couldn't say the ominous it goes up to age 40 Like that's

00:17:04 --> 00:17:08

the that's that's the era of like young man Shabaab.

00:17:10 --> 00:17:16

You have to use that energy for good, whatever good that is. That

00:17:16 --> 00:17:19

doesn't mean she people think making this mistake that after

00:17:19 --> 00:17:22

said all the time, I was surprised to Subhanallah that's not what

00:17:22 --> 00:17:26

Allah is asking you. That's not what he's asking you. Right now.

00:17:26 --> 00:17:30

You can do so much good that Allah will be pleased with you. Do you

00:17:30 --> 00:17:35

do us do that help people call people that you know, people that

00:17:35 --> 00:17:39

you haven't talked to old people see if they need anything, do drop

00:17:39 --> 00:17:42

some groceries by their door and send them a text I just dropped

00:17:42 --> 00:17:44

some groceries don't go shopping because I just went shopping,

00:17:45 --> 00:17:48

right? How people i We made some food drop it off to the neighbor

00:17:48 --> 00:17:53

that does this. So use that energy. When you're 95 years old,

00:17:53 --> 00:17:56

you can't do that you can't go get groceries and drop it off somebody

00:17:56 --> 00:18:00

else but do it now that when you get old then somebody will drop

00:18:00 --> 00:18:04

off groceries for you. Because it's a cycle life is a cycle it

00:18:04 --> 00:18:07

you You reap what you what you plant which is

00:18:08 --> 00:18:12

so beautiful so many reflections just like Moorhead and another

00:18:12 --> 00:18:15

thing that came to mind as you're speaking was it please correct me

00:18:15 --> 00:18:18

if I'm wrong but aren't also the youth who commit themselves to the

00:18:18 --> 00:18:21

service of the most popular among those who are promised the shade

00:18:22 --> 00:18:25

of Allah subhanaw taala Yeah, that's that's a beautiful reminder

00:18:25 --> 00:18:27

because there's the you know, on Day of Judgment, one thing people

00:18:27 --> 00:18:29

have to understand they have judgment is the last day that

00:18:29 --> 00:18:30

there's a sun

00:18:31 --> 00:18:34

that's it. It's a last day that's why it's called the last day

00:18:34 --> 00:18:38

because paradise there's no sun, you're always in the shade. So

00:18:38 --> 00:18:43

they have judgment. And the sun is so close that people are sweating.

00:18:43 --> 00:18:47

There is no shade, everybody's looking everywhere, there is no

00:18:47 --> 00:18:50

shade. And then Allah says in the Hadith poetry beautiful Hadees

00:18:50 --> 00:18:55

that the day that there is no shade, seven categories of people

00:18:55 --> 00:18:58

will be under my shade. And one of those is the one you just

00:18:58 --> 00:19:03

mentioned a young man, right, who who grew up in remembrance of

00:19:03 --> 00:19:06

Allah. But the second another one, too has to do with wood, wood,

00:19:07 --> 00:19:14

wood, Shabbat and in desire. A young man who has a beautiful

00:19:14 --> 00:19:19

woman comes to him and he said hey come for an illegal relationship.

00:19:20 --> 00:19:22

And he replies if I fear Allah

00:19:24 --> 00:19:27

that's the person he's in the shade of Allah on that day, when

00:19:27 --> 00:19:30

there is no shade as well. But there's a beautiful Hadith or a

00:19:30 --> 00:19:33

hadith of beautiful Abdullah bin Abbas already known who he

00:19:33 --> 00:19:38

narrates it, he said net Mitanni. Novel Boonen is now written in

00:19:38 --> 00:19:40

Arabic you have technique, which is to

00:19:42 --> 00:19:46

which means to do dual. So you have single you have dual your

00:19:46 --> 00:19:49

plural Arabic, NIA Mitanni baboon and FEMA gets here in minutes,

00:19:49 --> 00:19:54

right. So these two pluses he says that most people they take it for

00:19:54 --> 00:19:58

granted. majority people this these two blessing. What are those

00:19:58 --> 00:19:59

as well for

00:20:00 --> 00:20:07

Now is good health. Yes. And it is free time. Like, what do we do

00:20:07 --> 00:20:11

with our time? Time? You know remember Sally said this room he

00:20:11 --> 00:20:15

said this Ansari said this author said this, I've come across this

00:20:15 --> 00:20:20

statement in so many books, I'll walk to save the time is like a

00:20:20 --> 00:20:21

sword.

00:20:22 --> 00:20:24

If you don't cut with it, it will cut you.

00:20:25 --> 00:20:31

So you have to use the time to go forward. Right? Don't let time cut

00:20:31 --> 00:20:34

you because the next thing you know it's like years past and

00:20:34 --> 00:20:36

decades past and then you know you're at the end of your life and

00:20:36 --> 00:20:39

you're like, Oh my God, what did I do with my life?

00:20:40 --> 00:20:44

Amazing, just like a more fair and and that's a good segue into the

00:20:44 --> 00:20:47

next portion of this hadith that for those who are entering just

00:20:47 --> 00:20:50

like my opinion for being here, we're here with a set for it and

00:20:50 --> 00:20:54

rigidity and we're speaking about the value of time we related a

00:20:54 --> 00:20:59

beautiful Hadith that was recorded in the Muslim Imam Ahmed, which is

00:20:59 --> 00:21:03

regarding five matters in the process I'm advised us to take

00:21:03 --> 00:21:06

advantage of and so this Saturday, we just talked about youth before

00:21:06 --> 00:21:10

becoming old. Now the next part of the hadith is your health before

00:21:10 --> 00:21:13

you fall sick. So if you can please take us through this part

00:21:13 --> 00:21:19

of the Hadith inshallah. Yeah, health is one of the greatest

00:21:19 --> 00:21:22

blessings that Allah has given humanity.

00:21:24 --> 00:21:28

And a lot of time, one of the things that we forget is that we

00:21:28 --> 00:21:30

don't get up in the morning and say, You Allah, thank you for not

00:21:30 --> 00:21:35

giving me a toothache. But when we have a toothache, we get up with a

00:21:35 --> 00:21:41

complaint. Right? But we don't have it we don't say. And this is

00:21:41 --> 00:21:46

the blessings of Allah. It's you know, when in doubt, do not metal

00:21:46 --> 00:21:49

a laptop. If you try to enumerate the blessings of Allah the

00:21:49 --> 00:21:52

products if you want to count, you sit down when you say no, I'm

00:21:52 --> 00:21:54

going to count the blessings of Allah, you can count from now to

00:21:54 --> 00:21:57

eternity you will not be finished. There is no way you can enumerate

00:21:57 --> 00:22:02

because Allah is infinite and his blessings are infinite when he

00:22:02 --> 00:22:07

gives it comes from the source that is infinite. Right? So health

00:22:07 --> 00:22:08

is you know, one of the, you know,

00:22:10 --> 00:22:11

it's mentioned in a few books.

00:22:13 --> 00:22:18

Our beloved chef mentioned it as a segment of Shafi or Arabic proverb

00:22:18 --> 00:22:23

that health, good health is like a crown that is on the head of every

00:22:23 --> 00:22:27

healthy person. Good health is like a crown that is on the head

00:22:27 --> 00:22:31

of every healthy person that only the sick can see it. Now, when I

00:22:31 --> 00:22:36

had when I had an operation many, many years ago, when I was in

00:22:36 --> 00:22:38

college, I had an operation that I went home and they said is going

00:22:38 --> 00:22:41

to be good in two days. Then I was in bed for like two three weeks. I

00:22:41 --> 00:22:45

couldn't get up if something went wrong. And my friend used to come

00:22:45 --> 00:22:47

and visit me we said play basketball every day. I'm like 20

00:22:47 --> 00:22:52

years old. And and I was looking at them I saw it I didn't know

00:22:52 --> 00:22:58

this this saying but it when I heard this thing. It made perfect

00:22:58 --> 00:23:02

sense when I looked at him what a blessing to we they're going

00:23:02 --> 00:23:05

playing basketball afterwards I I can look up because I get dizzy

00:23:05 --> 00:23:11

and I fall. And did you realize that it is really you're the king

00:23:11 --> 00:23:15

in the Queen if you're healthy. And this is why Allah asked you on

00:23:15 --> 00:23:17

the younger camera, then I give you good health.

00:23:18 --> 00:23:21

This, Allah will ask you then I give you a good house. So those

00:23:21 --> 00:23:25

times that we are healthy, we have to be grateful to that. Because

00:23:25 --> 00:23:28

sickness will come. Now here's the thing about sickness because many

00:23:28 --> 00:23:31

people are suffering. They're sick. They're going through trials

00:23:31 --> 00:23:32

and tribulations of life.

00:23:33 --> 00:23:37

Mother had said, he said What good is a body that doesn't have pain?

00:23:38 --> 00:23:42

Right? What good is the body doesn't have pain. We don't ask

00:23:42 --> 00:23:45

for pain. Like we don't ask for pain. This is not part of a

00:23:45 --> 00:23:50

religion to ask for yalla give me pain. But if you get pain, know

00:23:50 --> 00:23:56

that Allah is just giving you something to get you closer to

00:23:56 --> 00:24:02

when you get close to Allah through pain. Rumi said everybody

00:24:02 --> 00:24:05

makes it thicker. He said everybody makes it thicker. But

00:24:05 --> 00:24:09

there's a there's a there's a thicker, he said hon Nana Vida as

00:24:09 --> 00:24:15

absurd. He's honden at Bodart as Dilber the yeast, he said to call

00:24:15 --> 00:24:19

upon Allah without pain. Come on, anybody can do that. But to call

00:24:19 --> 00:24:24

upon God and pain. He said that is the way of the lovers. Because

00:24:24 --> 00:24:27

when you're in pain, see everybody's looking for the smell

00:24:27 --> 00:24:30

of them. What is the Greatest Name of Allah? How many books you have

00:24:30 --> 00:24:33

read the say, the you know, they're looking for the Greatest

00:24:33 --> 00:24:37

Name of Allah to call upon him. You know the what our scholars

00:24:37 --> 00:24:40

they say about this, The Greatest Name of Allah, that when you call

00:24:40 --> 00:24:43

upon Him, He answers you is the name that doesn't make sense to

00:24:43 --> 00:24:44

you.

00:24:46 --> 00:24:49

When your dad is the greatest because Allah knows you're calling

00:24:49 --> 00:24:55

him nobody else knows. Only you know, and Allah knows because that

00:24:55 --> 00:24:59

yearning that is that you do when you're in pain. Who are you?

00:25:00 --> 00:25:06

doing that for you're calling upon Allah in that is why pain. I

00:25:06 --> 00:25:10

thought Michelle Puri they asked him because you know he had a lot

00:25:10 --> 00:25:14

of people are painting or complaining. He said call for call

00:25:14 --> 00:25:17

federal within tindora he said let me tell you what the cafe wants

00:25:17 --> 00:25:21

those who disbelieve in God and what the people of Deen wants. You

00:25:21 --> 00:25:25

know, the the Zohan the people of Zod and the people of religion and

00:25:25 --> 00:25:28

the people effect on the people of spirituality. Is it the people of

00:25:28 --> 00:25:30

color? They want their coffee? They want the drinking, the

00:25:30 --> 00:25:34

partying, the fornication, the dancing, they want their coffee,

00:25:34 --> 00:25:38

that's what they want, right? Isn't the people of Devo do they

00:25:38 --> 00:25:41

want they will Dean they weren't fasten, you didn't want thicker

00:25:41 --> 00:25:44

and they won't do this. He said, You know what I thought once a

00:25:44 --> 00:25:45

drop of pain,

00:25:47 --> 00:25:51

a drop of pain, because he knew that pain will get him so close to

00:25:51 --> 00:25:56

Allah, that all of these people are crawling through to God, he'll

00:25:56 --> 00:26:01

be flying to God. So if you have pain, know that, that yearn

00:26:01 --> 00:26:07

special attention, your special attention. And Allah has given you

00:26:07 --> 00:26:11

that in order to purify you, and to increase you and rank and get

00:26:11 --> 00:26:16

you over time. So we don't ask for it. But if you've got it, you

00:26:16 --> 00:26:20

know, it's kind of like sitting on a gold mind. sitting on a goldmine

00:26:21 --> 00:26:22

and Wallahi

00:26:24 --> 00:26:26

if people have don't have pain,

00:26:27 --> 00:26:30

if people don't have pain, some people will never be connected to

00:26:30 --> 00:26:34

Allah. Never be connected to Allah. It is pain that connects

00:26:34 --> 00:26:39

him. And that connection is priceless. That connection is so

00:26:39 --> 00:26:42

powerful that on the Day of Judgment, you would say your

00:26:42 --> 00:26:45

Allah, why did you give me pain for a year you should have given

00:26:45 --> 00:26:48

me for 100 years of my life, because now you know the reward of

00:26:48 --> 00:26:52

it. Now you know, your station that, you know, maybe Ayesha

00:26:52 --> 00:26:58

narrates a beautiful Hadith, about pain, that the council has said it

00:26:58 --> 00:27:04

removes pain is expiation for your sense, right? And she's really, he

00:27:04 --> 00:27:04

said,

00:27:06 --> 00:27:09

even if a thorn goes into the body of a believer in they remove it,

00:27:10 --> 00:27:15

and that did a pinch. Ouch. You know, because don't Is it even

00:27:15 --> 00:27:19

with that? Allah removes sense from their body and purifies them

00:27:19 --> 00:27:23

and get them closer to Allah because see, every time every

00:27:23 --> 00:27:27

Hadith that you hear that Allah removes sense from you remembered

00:27:27 --> 00:27:30

another meaning of that what happened when when sins are

00:27:30 --> 00:27:36

removed, your station goes higher. So you get audible, you get closer

00:27:36 --> 00:27:41

to Allah. So every time I heard he said that sins are removed, like

00:27:41 --> 00:27:44

when you wash your hands in will do. The Prophet said, when the

00:27:44 --> 00:27:48

waterfalls from your elbow, the sins of the hands are falling from

00:27:48 --> 00:27:51

your elbow. What does that mean? Your hand is getting closer to

00:27:51 --> 00:27:56

Allah now, because it's becoming less than the less sin the closer

00:27:56 --> 00:27:57

sins

00:27:58 --> 00:28:02

are, what distance us from Allah,

00:28:03 --> 00:28:08

Zack Morehead and gosh, so many beautiful things to reflect on. As

00:28:08 --> 00:28:11

you were speaking, we have a mutual friend that you know very

00:28:11 --> 00:28:15

well. One of the things that I remember when she shared with me

00:28:15 --> 00:28:20

really hit me hard and made me more appreciative of so much was

00:28:20 --> 00:28:24

when she she suffers from many different ailments but one in

00:28:24 --> 00:28:28

particular, prevented her from being able to make such the end

00:28:28 --> 00:28:31

when she spoke about how much she yearned to go back into make such

00:28:31 --> 00:28:35

that I realized like Oh ALLAH how much we take for granted because

00:28:35 --> 00:28:38

it was something that now she's not able to do and she hasn't been

00:28:38 --> 00:28:42

able to do for years for decades, that she yearns for it. So how

00:28:42 --> 00:28:46

many of us can make such a freely but we don't your your import with

00:28:46 --> 00:28:50

the same intensity and desire May Allah guide us and that's the

00:28:50 --> 00:28:54

thing. That's the thing that you know, one of the nature of human

00:28:54 --> 00:28:59

being and present, you know, I when I when I had my first best

00:28:59 --> 00:29:04

friend in fourth grade, he told me a poem Alliance. And he said, he

00:29:04 --> 00:29:08

said you will know my value. I said, Come on, I know your value.

00:29:08 --> 00:29:11

And it was is we just became best friends. I don't even know what

00:29:11 --> 00:29:17

best friend was. He taught me what friendship was my terroir and he

00:29:17 --> 00:29:21

said, he said do Scott reduced Katonah tonight after Judo he he

00:29:21 --> 00:29:24

said a friend would never know the value of a friend until they're

00:29:24 --> 00:29:24

separated.

00:29:26 --> 00:29:29

In this is the nature until things are not taken away from us. We

00:29:29 --> 00:29:33

don't know the value of that sister didn't know the value of

00:29:33 --> 00:29:37

such that to the degree that she knows now. We all know the value

00:29:37 --> 00:29:40

of says yo we love sage that but how long is our session?

00:29:41 --> 00:29:45

Where are we at are such that right? Or we connect it to Allah

00:29:45 --> 00:29:49

Allah says, Now once you go through that sickness, where you

00:29:49 --> 00:29:52

can make such that and then Allah heals you and you make such that

00:29:52 --> 00:29:54

again, your stage there's different

00:29:57 --> 00:29:59

massages acmarket And again, another

00:30:00 --> 00:30:03

thing I just wanted to share was, again in relation to what you had

00:30:03 --> 00:30:08

said about calling on Allah subhanaw taala. I recently went

00:30:08 --> 00:30:11

through something very similar to that in that I had a migraine that

00:30:11 --> 00:30:16

I've never experienced before in my life, to that extent of pain

00:30:16 --> 00:30:19

and anguish. And it was so debilitating as you might have

00:30:19 --> 00:30:22

added, I hope you've never felt this way before. But for those who

00:30:22 --> 00:30:25

may have ever felt a migraine, sometimes you can't move. So you

00:30:25 --> 00:30:30

are basically in a state situation where you have no mobility. So

00:30:30 --> 00:30:34

that's the situation I found myself in one day where I had a

00:30:34 --> 00:30:37

migraine that was again, the felt like hammers were just on my head,

00:30:37 --> 00:30:40

but I couldn't even get up to get a drink of water or medicine or

00:30:40 --> 00:30:45

anything. So I just exactly as you described, I was wincing in pain.

00:30:46 --> 00:30:49

And I literally begged Allah subhanaw taala to remove the pain

00:30:49 --> 00:30:53

because it was unbearable. And Allah, you know, he says, I ended

00:30:53 --> 00:30:56

on the appdb, right? We know that he's in the, you're in the opinion

00:30:56 --> 00:31:00

of, he's in the opinion of his servant. And so knowing I had no

00:31:00 --> 00:31:03

recourse whatsoever, only almost five, I can remove this pain from

00:31:03 --> 00:31:07

me, I begged and I had Inshallah, you know, we have to have

00:31:07 --> 00:31:10

confidence, right? When we make the honor that Allah subhanaw

00:31:10 --> 00:31:14

taala will answer us. And I, you know, I'm just sharing this

00:31:14 --> 00:31:18

because I lived it. I know Allah subhanaw taala is I'm a raw human,

00:31:18 --> 00:31:22

he literally removed that pain from me in a way that I can't

00:31:22 --> 00:31:26

explain. But I lived that experience. And I know that for

00:31:26 --> 00:31:30

those who are in pain, physical or mental, we've had some people ask

00:31:30 --> 00:31:33

them questions about, you know, mental pain, if they're stressed,

00:31:33 --> 00:31:36

or they've had, you know, maybe other emotional issues happening

00:31:36 --> 00:31:41

to them, calling on a lesson had that about that type of sincerity

00:31:41 --> 00:31:43

with that type of your keen opinion is so important, right?

00:31:44 --> 00:31:47

Because He will answer you and I am a witness to that, that, you

00:31:47 --> 00:31:50

know, here's my allow them as you said, he responded Subhanallah and

00:31:50 --> 00:31:54

I was it, he removed the pain from me, within very short amount of

00:31:54 --> 00:31:58

time. Subhanallah so I'm just sharing that as, again,

00:31:58 --> 00:32:00

inspiration for those who are watching, we're covering this

00:32:00 --> 00:32:03

beautiful Hadith of the prophets, I said, I was taught that where he

00:32:03 --> 00:32:06

advised us to take advantage of five matters before five other

00:32:06 --> 00:32:09

matters are separated as Inshallah, for those of you who

00:32:09 --> 00:32:13

are again joining us, you've landed in a good opportunity to

00:32:13 --> 00:32:16

share it to take from his wisdom, he's shared so much with us, we've

00:32:16 --> 00:32:20

covered two points of this hadith, which were regarding youth before

00:32:20 --> 00:32:23

you become old and health before one fall sick. Now the third part

00:32:23 --> 00:32:26

of the hadith is your wealth before you become poor, please

00:32:26 --> 00:32:28

separate and share some facts on

00:32:29 --> 00:32:35

this Well, one of the things is about wealth is the Quran is so

00:32:35 --> 00:32:40

beautifully described the the beginning of the Quran and Al

00:32:40 --> 00:32:43

Baqarah when you start reading Alif Lam in the article cavalry if

00:32:43 --> 00:32:47

you've been Alladhina we know the villa came to how do you become

00:32:47 --> 00:32:50

moving in those who believe in a very when and where your key Munna

00:32:50 --> 00:32:53

salata and then they established prayer right after that were

00:32:53 --> 00:32:58

members of unknown us. Right? And they spent up what what Allah has

00:32:58 --> 00:33:03

given us the first thing we have to really come to, to

00:33:03 --> 00:33:07

understanding that the wealth is not ours is from Allah, He gives

00:33:07 --> 00:33:12

to whomsoever he wants, and this is why hazarded jealousy is not

00:33:12 --> 00:33:18

part of our teaching. Like because you're just disagreeing with God's

00:33:18 --> 00:33:22

distribution. Why does so and so has so much and I don't have this

00:33:22 --> 00:33:25

much he's a cafe he's a Christian, he's a Hindu, he's a Buddhist I'm

00:33:25 --> 00:33:32

a Muslim right? And this is I'm Charlaine I'm doing a course soon

00:33:32 --> 00:33:36

inshallah online on the on this matter, like how do you how do you

00:33:36 --> 00:33:40

get vows? Will you worship Allah all day and you're still poor?

00:33:40 --> 00:33:43

Like why don't you get wealth? So we're going to talk about this

00:33:43 --> 00:33:45

subject and then also

00:33:46 --> 00:33:50

for those people that ask this question, there's a thing I'm

00:33:50 --> 00:33:52

going to be doing inshallah program called The Power of pain

00:33:53 --> 00:33:55

on from monana roomies perspective. So we're going to

00:33:55 --> 00:33:59

talk about physical spiritual and mental suffering and pain

00:33:59 --> 00:34:03

Inshallah, in detail, you know, we can, Inshallah, continue these

00:34:03 --> 00:34:07

conversations in the future as well with this platform, but

00:34:07 --> 00:34:09

anyways, the world is from Allah.

00:34:11 --> 00:34:13

For believers for movement for Muslim, they have to know every

00:34:13 --> 00:34:18

time they spend the money, that is a trust that God has given them,

00:34:18 --> 00:34:20

they should, that's why like, you don't spend your money on haram.

00:34:21 --> 00:34:24

Because you have this is a blessing from Allah. So I should

00:34:24 --> 00:34:28

spend it in the right way. This is why one of the things that the

00:34:28 --> 00:34:28

Prophet said

00:34:30 --> 00:34:34

that Allah doesn't love those people, those who spend the money

00:34:34 --> 00:34:35

because they can

00:34:37 --> 00:34:41

I'm sorry, say I don't care how much they just, you know, because

00:34:41 --> 00:34:46

you can, right, then you don't, you don't really you're not,

00:34:46 --> 00:34:50

you're not I mean, a trustworthy person of that work that Allah has

00:34:50 --> 00:34:53

given you. Because every penny you spend, you have to answer for

00:34:53 --> 00:34:56

that. So what is from Allah but the thing what, what, what?

00:34:57 --> 00:34:59

Poverty? See traditionally in the

00:35:00 --> 00:35:03

Muslim countries. And this is what our shareholders talked about in

00:35:03 --> 00:35:08

the classes in purification of the heart as well, that poverty was a

00:35:08 --> 00:35:10

dignified station.

00:35:12 --> 00:35:17

In the West poverty is, you know, it's looked down upon. If

00:35:17 --> 00:35:22

somebody's poor, they have no class in America. But in a Muslim

00:35:22 --> 00:35:27

country, you could be the poorest man in your community yet because

00:35:27 --> 00:35:29

you went to prayer five times a day at the masjid everybody come

00:35:29 --> 00:35:33

kisses your hand, the rich come kiss your hand. Right? There was a

00:35:33 --> 00:35:37

dignity Republic, there wasn't, it wasn't we didn't give a status

00:35:37 --> 00:35:41

based on money. Right? It was based on I wasn't based on form,

00:35:42 --> 00:35:45

we were based on meaning that people carried inside of them. And

00:35:45 --> 00:35:48

we have become a traditional sport. Now in the West, especially

00:35:48 --> 00:35:50

right? We don't nobody cares about the meaning. It's all about form,

00:35:50 --> 00:35:53

how much money you have how many followers you have this, you know,

00:35:53 --> 00:35:57

this is how we go forward. But anyways, well, there's no problem

00:35:57 --> 00:36:02

to be to be rich, and it's not worth man, I'm not a fan. See, he

00:36:02 --> 00:36:06

bought paradise three times. Because the Prophet said, who's

00:36:06 --> 00:36:10

gonna buy paradise during the fundraiser, if you if you armed is

00:36:10 --> 00:36:14

this many people before the battle one time, and not enough fun,

00:36:14 --> 00:36:17

raise his hand the next time, it was the third time the Prophet

00:36:17 --> 00:36:21

said, you have already bought it twice the third time, because what

00:36:21 --> 00:36:23

if you didn't have the money couldn't do it.

00:36:24 --> 00:36:28

If you didn't have the money, he couldn't do it. Right. So he had

00:36:28 --> 00:36:32

the money in his spend it for for the causes of this. Now, that

00:36:32 --> 00:36:35

doesn't mean you don't wear good clothes, you're rich, you don't

00:36:35 --> 00:36:39

have a nice house, you have all that you use, you know, the

00:36:39 --> 00:36:44

blessings that Allah has given you should be manifested on you

00:36:44 --> 00:36:47

shouldn't wear, like, you know, patch clothing, if you're a

00:36:47 --> 00:36:50

millionaire. That doesn't mean that's not as long you show the

00:36:50 --> 00:36:56

blessing, but you don't go and get a you know, $700,000 car because

00:36:56 --> 00:36:59

you have the money like it just this is just ridiculous. I've you

00:36:59 --> 00:37:02

see these things in some of the countries in the Muslim countries,

00:37:02 --> 00:37:06

right, their cars that are made only for the Muslim countries,

00:37:06 --> 00:37:09

because even the Westerners billionaires, they don't like this

00:37:09 --> 00:37:12

stupid, I'm not gonna spend that much money on a car. Right?

00:37:12 --> 00:37:17

Because I can spend it, I can do it. That's the big problem. In

00:37:17 --> 00:37:22

poverty, look, what comes what goes. One of the things that my

00:37:22 --> 00:37:25

mom taught me when we were young, a beautiful Persian proverb, and

00:37:25 --> 00:37:27

as you know, when you go to the Imam, and they, you know, they do

00:37:27 --> 00:37:31

the Kisa. And they take all of the, you know, the Naja from your

00:37:31 --> 00:37:35

hands and your body out. I mean, here, they don't have Kisa, and

00:37:35 --> 00:37:37

they don't have the, you know, in America, but if you go to Turkey,

00:37:37 --> 00:37:41

back home, Afghanistan, India, all these places, they have hanged

00:37:41 --> 00:37:44

man, like you go, and they have this horse cloth that they put,

00:37:44 --> 00:37:47

and then they let things come off from your bodies like

00:37:50 --> 00:37:53

what I went through study when I went to Afghanistan, and the guy

00:37:53 --> 00:37:56

said, Sure, I'm gonna do keys. I said, Listen, I came from America,

00:37:56 --> 00:37:59

we shower every day, we're pretty clean. And he said, Okay, and then

00:37:59 --> 00:38:03

he said, he said, I was so embarrassed. I was so like these,

00:38:03 --> 00:38:08

like they, you know, anyways. But they the Persian Afghani, they say

00:38:08 --> 00:38:12

that it is the dirt of your body. It's like those things.

00:38:13 --> 00:38:17

You just clean yourself from it. And this is why Zakat is very

00:38:17 --> 00:38:20

important. Because it's a card, you have to give us a cut. A lot

00:38:20 --> 00:38:24

of people they don't know that if you don't peel the card, which is

00:38:24 --> 00:38:27

two and a half percent of your excessive wealth, even your cash

00:38:27 --> 00:38:30

that you have in your safe deposit in your bank that you don't use

00:38:30 --> 00:38:34

for a year. That's a carnival, you have to pay if you have let's say

00:38:34 --> 00:38:37

you have $50,000 cash in your account that you haven't touched

00:38:37 --> 00:38:40

for yet into the year you have to pay two and a half percent of that

00:38:40 --> 00:38:45

zakat. If you don't pay this card, the two and a half percent, then

00:38:45 --> 00:38:50

entire 100% becomes content contaminated with haram. All of

00:38:50 --> 00:38:53

it. And that's why there's no Baraka some people send their

00:38:53 --> 00:38:56

money, there's nobody in their home, there's nobody in their life

00:38:56 --> 00:39:00

with their children with their spouses. So because those things

00:39:00 --> 00:39:04

you have to be very careful about, about giving the rights of of

00:39:04 --> 00:39:08

wealth as well. So you know, if you have it, you know, the best

00:39:08 --> 00:39:12

one was the best story that I've ever heard on this was Abu Hanifa

00:39:12 --> 00:39:15

story. And for all the hundreds. I know you're still hungry, right?

00:39:16 --> 00:39:17

Yes, I am. Okay.

00:39:18 --> 00:39:23

Yeah, no, no, no, yeah, I try to keep all of you guys in the Hanafi

00:39:23 --> 00:39:29

madhhab. This, we're gonna have a whole Malachy Afghani revolution

00:39:29 --> 00:39:34

and in the 90 hamdulillah they're all good. We just having some time

00:39:34 --> 00:39:37

we have not had fighting but it's because I love

00:39:39 --> 00:39:42

the Imam Abu Hanifa was an amazing scholar. He was a merchant as

00:39:42 --> 00:39:45

well. And he was sitting teaching a class one day and a man came in,

00:39:45 --> 00:39:49

whispered in his ear something and then he put his hand on his heart

00:39:49 --> 00:39:53

and he said Alhamdulillah then two hours later, the same man came and

00:39:53 --> 00:39:56

whisper something in his ear. He put his hand on his heart

00:39:57 --> 00:39:59

Alhamdulillah the student they said what was that?

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04

He said he came to me and he said because he was a merchant merchant

00:40:04 --> 00:40:09

he had used to bring sell from Persia and sell it in Iraq. And he

00:40:09 --> 00:40:11

was like, you know, these these these ships that will come, he

00:40:11 --> 00:40:17

said, the ship that had all your, your material, your entire stock

00:40:18 --> 00:40:22

synced and you lost all your world. He said I put my hand on my

00:40:22 --> 00:40:24

heart to see if there's a change in my heart.

00:40:26 --> 00:40:29

And I saw that there was no change. And I said Al Hamdulillah

00:40:29 --> 00:40:33

In other words, he was rich and then he became poor because he

00:40:33 --> 00:40:37

lost everything entire ship of it's in that's what they had these

00:40:37 --> 00:40:40

people didn't have like saving accounts and all that everything

00:40:40 --> 00:40:43

was like okay by ship come in and sell it by ship come and sell it.

00:40:43 --> 00:40:45

And that's how they used to make money.

00:40:46 --> 00:40:48

And then she two hours later, he came in, he whispered to me is

00:40:48 --> 00:40:51

that sorry, that was the wrong ship. It was somebody else's your

00:40:51 --> 00:40:55

stuff is all the tax. And he said I just realized that I became rich

00:40:55 --> 00:40:58

again. And I put my hand in my heart said there's a change in the

00:40:58 --> 00:41:02

state of my heart. And there was no change. And I said I humbly so

00:41:02 --> 00:41:07

for us, the wealth should be in the hand, not in the heart. If

00:41:07 --> 00:41:11

it's in the hands, it's perfect because it's there to distribute

00:41:11 --> 00:41:14

it to make use of it. The heart is a place you don't want anything

00:41:14 --> 00:41:15

except Allah.

00:41:16 --> 00:41:20

Absolutely beautiful. Does that work? I haven't I never heard that

00:41:20 --> 00:41:24

story. It's so beautiful, so profound, Subhan Allah. Thank you

00:41:24 --> 00:41:27

again, for those who have joined us. I'm just going to reiterate,

00:41:27 --> 00:41:30

we're with a set today doing we're talking about this beautiful

00:41:30 --> 00:41:33

Hadith of the prophesy centum who advised us to take advantage of

00:41:33 --> 00:41:37

five matters before five other matters. We've covered youth

00:41:37 --> 00:41:40

before you become old health before we fall sick wealth before

00:41:40 --> 00:41:44

we become poor, the fourth portion of this hadith is very much

00:41:44 --> 00:41:49

related to the theme of today's program, your free time before you

00:41:49 --> 00:41:53

become preoccupied, please separate and again drop more gems

00:41:53 --> 00:41:56

on us. No love lost you. Thank you. I think that you know, we

00:41:56 --> 00:41:59

talked about at the beginning that about the two blessings, the

00:41:59 --> 00:42:05

hadith of Abram does that, you know, and this is in Sahil Hardy.

00:42:05 --> 00:42:09

So it's a sound Hadith that there are two blessing that people

00:42:09 --> 00:42:12

actually, you know, most people take for granted. And one of them

00:42:12 --> 00:42:14

is is free time.

00:42:16 --> 00:42:20

One of the greatest lies that have been taught to human being is the

00:42:20 --> 00:42:23

concept of the spoon people say, or I don't have time

00:42:24 --> 00:42:26

because the only thing you have is time.

00:42:29 --> 00:42:35

The only thing you have is time. So it's time management that is

00:42:35 --> 00:42:40

destroying most people now I remember a story in a book called

00:42:40 --> 00:42:45

The three woman of Herat. There's a book written in I think she was

00:42:45 --> 00:42:49

there in the 70s the person was in 70s in Afghanistan wrote a book

00:42:49 --> 00:42:55

about especially about the Herat and I when I was in college, when

00:42:55 --> 00:42:59

you have nothing to do you read all this stuff. So anyways, in the

00:42:59 --> 00:43:02

book, it said, and this is because I come from Iraq, and I know how

00:43:02 --> 00:43:06

to this statement. He said when I was in Iraq, and I was spending,

00:43:07 --> 00:43:11

one of the thing I have noticed was the man would wear really nice

00:43:11 --> 00:43:18

watches. I saw Rado I saw Movado, I saw Rolex I saw omega. And it's

00:43:18 --> 00:43:24

so true. Every member of my family and Afghanistan, they have they

00:43:24 --> 00:43:27

have an amazing watch. They were amazing watch isn't that the man,

00:43:28 --> 00:43:31

if they don't have a year, every woman they have to have the Louis

00:43:31 --> 00:43:34

Vuitton purse. Like even if you don't have money, you have to

00:43:34 --> 00:43:37

borrow from your credit card. You want to buy that person just to

00:43:37 --> 00:43:42

carry it. It's part of like the culture here. Right? So the watch

00:43:42 --> 00:43:44

is was part of this.

00:43:45 --> 00:43:50

of the culture. So she says, but I've noticed that in this city,

00:43:50 --> 00:43:53

the concept of time doesn't exist. I don't know why they are waiting,

00:43:53 --> 00:43:54

watching.

00:43:55 --> 00:43:59

You was searching. He said, Because I saw these people. I

00:43:59 --> 00:44:01

said, Where are you going? He said, I'm going to so and so's

00:44:01 --> 00:44:04

house. And as we said, okay, and then I would see him stand by the

00:44:04 --> 00:44:09

tree talk to another guy for two hours. And I thought you were so

00:44:09 --> 00:44:12

yeah, so my friend we just hanging up. They said there's no

00:44:12 --> 00:44:16

appointments, there's nothing but why do they carry these beautiful

00:44:16 --> 00:44:19

watches, right? So we have these watches, but we don't know how to

00:44:19 --> 00:44:25

do time management. And time is the essence. See, as you and this

00:44:25 --> 00:44:29

the Greeks have been talking about this, the Persian the Chinese

00:44:29 --> 00:44:34

everybody talking about it. Every breath that you take your one

00:44:34 --> 00:44:39

breath let's and your treasure chest because chest has doubled

00:44:39 --> 00:44:42

meaning right is that one a double entendre is a chest which is the

00:44:42 --> 00:44:46

chest but chest also means a chest right like where you put your

00:44:46 --> 00:44:50

jewelry and stuff in there like a box. So the chest is a treasure

00:44:50 --> 00:44:53

box as well that carries your breath.

00:44:54 --> 00:44:58

Each and every one of us has limited amount of breath. So some

00:44:58 --> 00:44:59

people have 1000 breath

00:45:00 --> 00:45:03

They die in infancy, right? Some people have a million, I don't

00:45:03 --> 00:45:08

know how many we have. But every time we inhale and exhale, it's

00:45:08 --> 00:45:12

one less, one less, one less. And we don't know which one is the

00:45:12 --> 00:45:16

last one. So when the last one comes, that you inhale, and you're

00:45:16 --> 00:45:20

not, you don't have anything to exhale, you're done. When the last

00:45:20 --> 00:45:22

time that you exhale, you don't have anything to inhale, you're

00:45:22 --> 00:45:25

done, you will run out is that your bank account goes to zero,

00:45:25 --> 00:45:28

you can withdraw money once he goes to zero. So that's

00:45:30 --> 00:45:34

know that every breath is just getting shorter, and shorter and

00:45:34 --> 00:45:40

smaller and smaller. So use your time wisely. Use your time wisely.

00:45:42 --> 00:45:45

People the thing that Imam Ghazali mentions this in here,

00:45:46 --> 00:45:51

about the three boxes. For me it was a you know, people say game

00:45:51 --> 00:45:55

changer. This was game changer for me. Like if this is game changer.

00:45:56 --> 00:46:01

On the Day of Judgment, you opened a box, there's three boxes in

00:46:01 --> 00:46:04

front of you said open it up, you open the first box, and a good

00:46:04 --> 00:46:09

smell comes out. Amazing smell is Asendia. Oh my God. And the

00:46:09 --> 00:46:15

Prophet said, if this smell goes to * fire, the people of fire,

00:46:15 --> 00:46:17

they will forget about the torment of fire. That's how beautiful the

00:46:17 --> 00:46:18

smell is.

00:46:19 --> 00:46:22

And you say, what is this Your love never smelled something like

00:46:22 --> 00:46:27

this. These are your good actions. This is the scent of the box of

00:46:27 --> 00:46:31

your good action. Look at it. It was amazing. Amazing. So open the

00:46:31 --> 00:46:36

second box, he opens the second month This smell is so horrible.

00:46:37 --> 00:46:39

It's so horrible that he's losing his cycles. You're Allah What is

00:46:39 --> 00:46:42

this? And the Prophet said, if this smell goes to Paradise, the

00:46:42 --> 00:46:45

people a paradise will forget about the blessings of Paradise

00:46:45 --> 00:46:50

because of this bad smell. So what is this? This is the evil action.

00:46:52 --> 00:46:55

And then she opened a third box, he opens the third box. And

00:46:55 --> 00:47:00

there's nothing say Allah, what is this? He said, This is the box of

00:47:00 --> 00:47:05

those precious time that we gave you, and you wasted doing nothing.

00:47:08 --> 00:47:12

You wasted doing nothing. And the man starts to weep. And he says

00:47:12 --> 00:47:15

yeah, Allah give me a chance. So I can go back. And I can fill this

00:47:15 --> 00:47:20

with good actions, because that is the tipping point. That box is the

00:47:20 --> 00:47:24

tipping point. It can take your scale and make it heavy on the

00:47:24 --> 00:47:27

other side, and you can go to paradise. And that's the box that

00:47:27 --> 00:47:32

people regret the most on the Day of Judgment. I left all that box

00:47:32 --> 00:47:37

empty all this time. They didn't do anything. Just wasted time. We

00:47:37 --> 00:47:41

were not created to play video games. 24/7 We were not created to

00:47:41 --> 00:47:43

just sit in chat and do nothing.

00:47:45 --> 00:47:51

Do something. Do something. You know that one of the poems that

00:47:51 --> 00:47:54

comes to my mind says my name you agree I'm Xeon con you're

00:47:54 --> 00:47:58

perfectly suit Bosch. I'm not gonna give you advice because some

00:47:58 --> 00:48:01

of the poet's What do you think about them? They're so beautiful.

00:48:01 --> 00:48:04

They were they didn't want to be like a preacher. They do this do

00:48:04 --> 00:48:07

that Rooney never does it. You don't find anywhere Rumi says do

00:48:07 --> 00:48:11

this, do that. No. He just elevates you that you are going to

00:48:11 --> 00:48:15

do amazing thing. He said I'm not going to tell you hey, go into

00:48:15 --> 00:48:18

business and make money. Oh go into don't go into business lose

00:48:18 --> 00:48:21

money. I'm not going to tell you the make profit or loss. I'm not

00:48:21 --> 00:48:22

telling you anything.

00:48:23 --> 00:48:29

Aiza Forsyth, Bihar that has he has the Zoot Bosch, Oh, you are

00:48:29 --> 00:48:34

unaware of the concept of time. Whatever you're doing, make it

00:48:34 --> 00:48:36

fast because your time is limited.

00:48:37 --> 00:48:41

to Don't waste your life. Don't waste this precious life that

00:48:41 --> 00:48:45

Allah has given you this beautiful time that Allah has given you.

00:48:45 --> 00:48:50

Because it's going to come to an end. And it comes very abruptly.

00:48:51 --> 00:48:54

It's not going to send you a message. It's not going to send

00:48:54 --> 00:48:59

you an SMS is not going to text you death will come suddenly and

00:48:59 --> 00:49:04

then it's too late. So use your time wisely. In when are you going

00:49:04 --> 00:49:07

to start using your time wisely. Tomorrow, Abdullah Ansari said the

00:49:07 --> 00:49:11

problem is that tomorrow would never come because there's always

00:49:11 --> 00:49:17

a tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow, tomorrow. No today.

00:49:18 --> 00:49:21

Today if you're gonna get one thing from this

00:49:23 --> 00:49:28

this talk today take this home everyone. This is this is this is

00:49:28 --> 00:49:30

something that benefited me greatly. It's a How To Belong

00:49:30 --> 00:49:34

sorry, indicted for year for anyone with a great Gnostics of

00:49:34 --> 00:49:37

Islam, one of the most amazing human being that ever walked on

00:49:37 --> 00:49:43

this planet. He said he said caught in Rudra the Florida

00:49:43 --> 00:49:48

magazine. Is it pleased my son my daughters. Don't put today's work

00:49:48 --> 00:49:48

for tomorrow.

00:49:49 --> 00:49:54

Progress don't put to work for tomorrow. Because tomorrow has a

00:49:54 --> 00:49:59

tomorrow and then tomorrow has a tomorrow and it can go on for

00:50:00 --> 00:50:04

Ever. And that's the trick of shaytaan. Live your life as though

00:50:04 --> 00:50:06

you're going to die tomorrow for the D.

00:50:08 --> 00:50:12

Live your life as you're going to live for 1000 years for the dunya.

00:50:13 --> 00:50:16

And this is the prophetic teaching. In other words, the work

00:50:16 --> 00:50:19

of Dean don't say, You know what, I've started making up my prayer

00:50:19 --> 00:50:22

tomorrow. No, I'm going to start making up my prayer today. But

00:50:22 --> 00:50:25

this thing of the dunya can wait till tomorrow if I if it doesn't

00:50:25 --> 00:50:28

happen, doesn't happen, who cares? But the author of work, I'm not

00:50:28 --> 00:50:32

going to let it end. Don't go to sleep. If you're missing a prayer

00:50:32 --> 00:50:36

today, don't go to sleep. Make sure you have today, all your five

00:50:36 --> 00:50:41

prayers are done before you go to sleep. And that's OTF to me. You

00:50:41 --> 00:50:44

know, that's the only people have made Miss prayers in the past. And

00:50:44 --> 00:50:47

they're saying, Oh, my God, I don't have time. How am I going to

00:50:47 --> 00:50:51

be it's all the time, I can't make it up. First of all,

00:50:52 --> 00:50:58

put the past right now in the back burner, is start doing your five

00:50:58 --> 00:50:59

daily prayers now.

00:51:00 --> 00:51:04

It's not doing that now. Because then you're going to be just

00:51:04 --> 00:51:09

overwhelmed. And then start making up one prayer a day. Just one

00:51:09 --> 00:51:13

prayer. Instead of everyday do one prayer. And okay, it takes you

00:51:13 --> 00:51:17

five years, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years doesn't matter. Once you

00:51:17 --> 00:51:22

started, even if you don't finish it before you die, Allah will have

00:51:22 --> 00:51:23

an angel finish it for you.

00:51:24 --> 00:51:27

Because you started on the path and you were doing it every day,

00:51:27 --> 00:51:32

just a little bit. But every day, constantly use time wisely. Time

00:51:32 --> 00:51:36

is the greatest gift from Allah and it's limited. That's the thing

00:51:36 --> 00:51:38

just like Ramadan is coming.

00:51:39 --> 00:51:41

A Yemen now do that.

00:51:42 --> 00:51:47

limited time, right? Like you do a program says hey limited See, once

00:51:47 --> 00:51:50

you sold out you can you can go in there, right? Life is like that

00:51:50 --> 00:51:55

too limited time. This time. Yesterday is done. Everything you

00:51:55 --> 00:51:59

did yesterday is done return goodbye. You can't do anything

00:51:59 --> 00:52:05

about it. But today's not now is not after this. What are we going

00:52:05 --> 00:52:09

to do is door time for us. Right we got to do a door, right?

00:52:09 --> 00:52:12

Because Juma you have to wait till the Germans are done. But for the

00:52:12 --> 00:52:16

Hanafis for your city, you have to wait till all the Juma prayers are

00:52:16 --> 00:52:17

done and then you pay

00:52:18 --> 00:52:21

on the Juma you don't pay at the beginning of time, it's actually

00:52:21 --> 00:52:25

preferred to pray at the beginning of time for every prayer, except

00:52:25 --> 00:52:28

for the day of Juma for, you know, if you're praying doors are

00:52:28 --> 00:52:31

respected, you know, even though we don't have Juma prayer, but out

00:52:31 --> 00:52:33

of respect, we wait for that for the player to be that.

00:52:35 --> 00:52:39

Emotional again, so many beautiful gems in the last portion of the

00:52:39 --> 00:52:42

Saudi ties very much to everything you just talked about, which is

00:52:42 --> 00:52:47

your life before your death. And as you were speaking, another very

00:52:47 --> 00:52:51

important point that came to mind that Showhomes mentions in the,

00:52:51 --> 00:52:55

you know, translation of the famous poet love. Remember models

00:52:55 --> 00:52:59

where he talks about many of the diseases of the heart. For those,

00:52:59 --> 00:53:01

again, who are not familiar with this text, I'm gonna go ahead and

00:53:01 --> 00:53:04

put it up for you. Because you should absolutely have this book

00:53:04 --> 00:53:08

in your home library, every single Muslim home should have this text,

00:53:08 --> 00:53:11

it's invaluable in terms of what it offers. And many of the

00:53:11 --> 00:53:15

beautiful points that was upgraded and sharing are reflected in this.

00:53:15 --> 00:53:19

But one particular disease of the heart that he talks about is the

00:53:19 --> 00:53:23

tweet and on the right of this idea of false hope, this idea that

00:53:23 --> 00:53:28

we will live forever. And this concept that again, of our society

00:53:28 --> 00:53:32

around us, the delusion of the world around us reinforces over

00:53:32 --> 00:53:36

and over again, that we have ample time we have ample opportunity.

00:53:36 --> 00:53:41

And so this last point of this hadith, to take advantage of your

00:53:41 --> 00:53:45

life before your death. Again, you've spoken about this, but just

00:53:46 --> 00:53:49

kind of bring this beautiful conversation to a close so that we

00:53:49 --> 00:53:53

can open it up for questions. Please, if you have any further

00:53:53 --> 00:53:59

insights on the value of again, really seizing your life and

00:53:59 --> 00:54:00

giving importance

00:54:01 --> 00:54:03

to yourself about the purpose that was

00:54:05 --> 00:54:09

before your time. One of the things about a prophet Salah

00:54:09 --> 00:54:13

Salem, if you look at the great teachers, right, and there is no

00:54:13 --> 00:54:15

greater teacher than the Prophet SAW Salem in the history of

00:54:15 --> 00:54:19

humanity. Right? If you look at all the great teachers when they

00:54:19 --> 00:54:24

were the Greeks, Socrates, you know, you know, pre Islam, post

00:54:24 --> 00:54:30

Islam, all of them, the way they taught was, they made very

00:54:30 --> 00:54:35

sophisticated subjects, beings that were really brought it down

00:54:35 --> 00:54:38

and made it simple for people. They didn't dumb it down. This

00:54:38 --> 00:54:42

whole idea of dumbing things down is not part of our culture,

00:54:42 --> 00:54:46

because we want to raise people up. But we want to make concepts

00:54:47 --> 00:54:51

easy to understand for the mind, and we want to elevate people

00:54:51 --> 00:54:54

through that teaching. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa

00:54:54 --> 00:54:57

sallam and I'm going to do this for you because you said this

00:54:57 --> 00:55:00

thing. So the prophets of salaam drew a line in the sand right?

00:55:00 --> 00:55:04

I saw he drew a line in the sand like this, right? And then

00:55:06 --> 00:55:10

he said he drew a line on the top. Right? And he said, This is your

00:55:10 --> 00:55:16

Amel, right. This is what all your goals where you want to go, I want

00:55:16 --> 00:55:19

to do this, I want to do this in life, I want to do this and like,

00:55:19 --> 00:55:22

so you have this in your life, right? And then he drew a line

00:55:22 --> 00:55:24

here. And he said, This

00:55:25 --> 00:55:29

is your agile, this is your death that comes before that.

00:55:31 --> 00:55:35

So all in that, for me is kind of like,

00:55:36 --> 00:55:42

how, how much are we going to have these ambitions and goals of life?

00:55:42 --> 00:55:46

We have to be ambitious. That's this, you know, in terms of

00:55:47 --> 00:55:50

ambitious, I don't like the word ambition. It's because it does

00:55:50 --> 00:55:55

have a negative positive is a mixture. We we have to have goals

00:55:55 --> 00:55:59

in life, we have to be wanting to do great things in life. Nobody's

00:55:59 --> 00:56:02

saying, Oh, don't do anything. But you know, Rumi said something very

00:56:02 --> 00:56:07

interesting. He said, he said, when you make your goals, reflect

00:56:07 --> 00:56:09

on the size of the goal,

00:56:10 --> 00:56:12

he said, Hey, cannot pick up a mountain.

00:56:14 --> 00:56:19

In other words, be realistic. Because realistic goal, you want

00:56:19 --> 00:56:22

to be above? Yeah, you want to be above so you can push yourself.

00:56:22 --> 00:56:25

But you don't want to have a goal where you depress all your life,

00:56:25 --> 00:56:30

because it's impossible for you to achieve. Right? So be realistic,

00:56:30 --> 00:56:35

but that have the highest level of real estate, your, your ideal,

00:56:35 --> 00:56:38

right have the highest level, so you push yourself. But you know,

00:56:39 --> 00:56:43

it's some people they say stuff where it's like, you need seven

00:56:43 --> 00:56:46

lifetime to do that in a team of 100 people to do this, and you

00:56:46 --> 00:56:48

don't have anybody, what do you what are you going to start and

00:56:48 --> 00:56:51

they don't start and then 15 years, 20 years later, you meet

00:56:51 --> 00:56:55

the same person that is still the same exact spot is that, you know,

00:56:55 --> 00:56:59

you got to start somewhere, right? You got to start somewhere. So

00:56:59 --> 00:57:00

live. Look.

00:57:02 --> 00:57:07

We have in what, there are many reasons why suicide is haram and

00:57:07 --> 00:57:12

so many reasons. But we'll look at two things. One is would you do?

00:57:13 --> 00:57:20

Just the mere fact that you exist? Why do we exist? What are we just

00:57:20 --> 00:57:22

think about it? For one second, I want everyone to think about this?

00:57:23 --> 00:57:27

Why do you exist? You exist? Because God says coin is a beat

00:57:27 --> 00:57:31

and you came to existence? That is enough to be in a state of ecstasy

00:57:31 --> 00:57:35

for eternity. God said Be and I am.

00:57:36 --> 00:57:41

Isn't that enough to be just joyful and happy for eternity? God

00:57:41 --> 00:57:48

said can be I was part of that. Yes. You are part of that. That

00:57:48 --> 00:57:52

you exist. This existence is the greatest gift of God. Second, what

00:57:52 --> 00:57:57

are you carrying in this body in this cage? This spirit of God? A

00:57:57 --> 00:58:03

roof is the Spirit of God. Allah put the roof in it, Melissa.

00:58:04 --> 00:58:06

You can't take the roof out.

00:58:07 --> 00:58:11

The roof has to leave when God wants it to leave. You have to

00:58:11 --> 00:58:12

leave it to God.

00:58:13 --> 00:58:17

Yes, there's trials you tribulation in life. Yes, there's

00:58:17 --> 00:58:20

triumph in life. Yes, there's failures in life. But you know,

00:58:21 --> 00:58:28

what Nelson Mandela said, I never lose. I win. Or I learn. That's

00:58:28 --> 00:58:33

our life. I never lose. Don't look at failure as losing. This is a

00:58:33 --> 00:58:39

Michael Jordan took that as a model. Right? He said, I want to I

00:58:39 --> 00:58:43

want to be like Nelson Mandela, I want to win or learn. And he

00:58:43 --> 00:58:46

became the greatest basketball player, you know, if

00:58:47 --> 00:58:51

you know, but that's what he did. Like he, you know, there's a story

00:58:51 --> 00:58:53

about him. They said he played ping pong with one of the NBA

00:58:53 --> 00:58:57

players at a hotel before the game. I'm so sorry.

00:58:58 --> 00:59:00

Forgive me, because the line is gonna cut off in just about a

00:59:00 --> 00:59:04

minute. But I want everybody to know we will resume. So it's

00:59:04 --> 00:59:05

because it's,

00:59:06 --> 00:59:09

I think this, what we'll do is we'll save this line. But we'll

00:59:09 --> 00:59:12

come back. So I'll just rejoin the live and I invite you to come back

00:59:12 --> 00:59:16

because we have some beautiful questions in the chat now.

00:59:17 --> 00:59:19

We want to listen to more of you also.

00:59:21 --> 00:59:24

Please just bear with us. If the if it gets awkward, please, if you

00:59:24 --> 00:59:28

want to continue the rest of your story until it cuts off. Bismillah

00:59:28 --> 00:59:31

Yeah, so But anyways, he was playing ping pong and he lost. And

00:59:31 --> 00:59:34

then he said he ordered a ping pong table in his room.

00:59:34 --> 00:59:36

Immediately the guy went and bought it and for the next few

00:59:36 --> 00:59:39

days, he played ping pong and he mastered it. The guy came in he

00:59:39 --> 00:59:41

beat him.

00:59:43 --> 00:59:48

He didn't take failure. He said, That's we fail, we learn and we

00:59:48 --> 00:59:52

became better. That's the whole purpose of life doesn't mean No, I

00:59:52 --> 00:59:56

fail. I'm gonna kill myself. That's not the answer. To Doom

00:59:56 --> 00:59:57

yourself in the dunya in and out

01:00:17 --> 01:00:21

Salam aleikum, everyone and thank you for rejoining forgive us again

01:00:21 --> 01:00:26

for this minor hiccup Inshallah, we will continue again, as soon as

01:00:27 --> 01:00:31

Saturday enjoins us I will invite him back in sha Allah, please

01:00:31 --> 01:00:36

stick around, we will hopefully try to get to your questions if I

01:00:36 --> 01:00:39

know there was someone who submitted a question in the

01:00:39 --> 01:00:42

previous live unfortunately, I was not able to even see the question.

01:00:43 --> 01:00:46

So I invite you if you're here to please resubmit your question.

01:00:46 --> 01:00:49

Again, for those who are not familiar, there is a question box

01:00:49 --> 01:00:53

at the bottom next to the comment section, you'll see a little

01:00:53 --> 01:00:57

question mark. That is where you can submit your questions. It's

01:00:57 --> 01:01:02

very hard to follow questions in the thread because it moves so

01:01:02 --> 01:01:06

quickly. And so we don't want to miss your questions. Certainly,

01:01:06 --> 01:01:12

but we do want to have Inshallah, enough time to take them so let's

01:01:12 --> 01:01:17

let me see where our teacher is if he is here yet. I have not seen

01:01:17 --> 01:01:20

him join. Let me see this. Oh, there he goes. Bismillah Okay.

01:01:20 --> 01:01:24

Hamdulillah you are back. Then. Okay, we are going to connect to

01:01:24 --> 01:01:27

you again. Again, thank you everybody, for being here.

01:01:27 --> 01:01:31

Remember to please submit questions in the bottom box was

01:01:31 --> 01:01:31

often located.

01:01:33 --> 01:01:36

So you were saying I'm sorry, please? Do you want to re

01:01:38 --> 01:01:41

sort of Yeah, no, that's that was that was the thing. So basically,

01:01:41 --> 01:01:46

in my my advice to myself and everyone is to not give up.

01:01:47 --> 01:01:50

Because given up means you don't have you don't have trust in

01:01:50 --> 01:01:53

Allah, you don't have hope in because if you're connected to

01:01:53 --> 01:02:01

Allah, in see, the greatest gift of spirituality, is that they

01:02:01 --> 01:02:05

emphasize really on the concept of hope. Right. So you never feel

01:02:05 --> 01:02:09

hopeless because the moment you feel hopeless. hopelessness, Rumi

01:02:09 --> 01:02:15

said, hopelessness is like a boat that will end up in a shore like

01:02:15 --> 01:02:17

you will, that shortage is going to end up

01:02:20 --> 01:02:21

as cover

01:02:22 --> 01:02:25

it takes you to cover because if you're hopeless, like that means

01:02:25 --> 01:02:30

you don't believe in God. Like, yeah, if you believe in God, you

01:02:30 --> 01:02:34

got to have hope. Right? And that's foundational to Islamic

01:02:34 --> 01:02:39

teaching. You know, we Mrs. Ali said that we were like the birds,

01:02:39 --> 01:02:45

you fly with two wings of hope and fear, hope and fear. You You fear

01:02:45 --> 01:02:48

Allah subhanaw taala. But that fear is different. This is one

01:02:48 --> 01:02:54

thing that my my teacher, Dr. Mercola taught me many years ago

01:02:54 --> 01:02:57

that really had paradigm shift in my head about fear because people

01:02:57 --> 01:03:00

fear God, they didn't know what that fear meant. We have two types

01:03:00 --> 01:03:04

of fear. One fear is when you fear an animal, you see a lion, what

01:03:04 --> 01:03:08

are you going to do you want for your life, right? You see a snake

01:03:08 --> 01:03:11

you run away from it, that's a fear that you run away. Another

01:03:11 --> 01:03:13

fear as you get closer to

01:03:14 --> 01:03:19

this fear of Allah is a fear that you get closer, because your fear

01:03:19 --> 01:03:26

is building takla consciousness, your fear is building, trust and

01:03:26 --> 01:03:30

Tawakkol. So you're getting closer to Allah through this fear, you

01:03:30 --> 01:03:34

don't get away. You don't distance yourself from God, you actually

01:03:34 --> 01:03:37

get closer to Allah through fearing Allah. But fearing

01:03:37 --> 01:03:41

anything else, you distance yourself from it. Yeah, beautiful.

01:03:41 --> 01:03:45

Now, everything that you've spoken about today, again, so many, so

01:03:45 --> 01:03:50

many invaluable statements that you've shared insights. But a lot

01:03:50 --> 01:03:52

of the things that I've seen, and even some of the questions that

01:03:52 --> 01:03:55

have been reflected have to do with, you know, the thoughts that

01:03:55 --> 01:04:00

people have that they can't control anxiety worse was? Can you

01:04:00 --> 01:04:05

maybe speak a little bit about how to differentiate between the

01:04:05 --> 01:04:09

whispers of shame? Or he's really trying to break you down? And

01:04:09 --> 01:04:12

just, you know, how did I take control of that are struggling?

01:04:13 --> 01:04:17

It's a high level. So basically, one of the things that people have

01:04:17 --> 01:04:21

to understand is that we have a system in Islam. And you have to

01:04:21 --> 01:04:24

go with if you want to get the most benefit, you have to go with

01:04:24 --> 01:04:28

the system. For example, if you want to go if people want to go

01:04:28 --> 01:04:32

and build muscles, right? They go to the gym, you can just go and

01:04:32 --> 01:04:35

pick up one thing and just keep doing that say, Hey, why am I not?

01:04:35 --> 01:04:39

Well, my arms are getting strong, but I am not strong. But you go to

01:04:39 --> 01:04:43

a person, a physical trainer, and he will say, No, you have to do

01:04:43 --> 01:04:46

this machine first, this second. And then the next day you get rest

01:04:46 --> 01:04:49

of your body, and then you work the other. So there's a system and

01:04:49 --> 01:04:52

then you will see the result and it takes time, right? It's not

01:04:52 --> 01:04:56

overnight. Six months later, like Whoa, now I can feel more strength

01:04:56 --> 01:04:58

and I'm you know, losing weight and I'm doing all this stuff.

01:04:59 --> 01:04:59

There's a cyst

01:05:00 --> 01:05:03

into it. But some people say no, I just, I just want to get strong

01:05:03 --> 01:05:06

but I don't want to go through the system. It doesn't work that way

01:05:06 --> 01:05:09

that easily. You might get the muscle on your arm, but your all

01:05:09 --> 01:05:12

your the rest of the your body is going to be weak. What are you

01:05:12 --> 01:05:13

going to do with that kind of

01:05:14 --> 01:05:21

weight training? So the taqwa all of the vice versa is because we

01:05:21 --> 01:05:25

see you have to build a shield control around yourself

01:05:26 --> 01:05:29

physically, mentally and spiritually.

01:05:30 --> 01:05:31

It starts with physical

01:05:32 --> 01:05:38

right you can see the man who said was complaining and in the Hadith

01:05:38 --> 01:05:42

said, you know, well, Melba will haram, you know, is causing is

01:05:42 --> 01:05:46

haram and his food is haram and everything is haram. You can't

01:05:46 --> 01:05:50

complain when everything is haram to say why my life is a mess.

01:05:50 --> 01:05:54

Well, I'm sorry, everything you're doing is haram. Everything is

01:05:54 --> 01:05:58

you're gonna have a messed up life, right? spiritually. So you

01:05:58 --> 01:06:01

might be really good on social media, but you're burning inside

01:06:01 --> 01:06:04

because you have to be you have to be real because one of the name of

01:06:04 --> 01:06:10

God is is real. Right? Gotta be real. You can't be fake with God,

01:06:10 --> 01:06:15

right? You can't play God, God would not be played. So you have

01:06:15 --> 01:06:18

to have top law, just consciousness of the body. Like in

01:06:18 --> 01:06:21

other words, you have to be pure. Keep yourself in wudu one of the

01:06:21 --> 01:06:24

things that people ask Vice versa, most people don't even know do you

01:06:24 --> 01:06:27

have to be with you all the time? You go to the bathroom, you come

01:06:27 --> 01:06:32

out in what do you make a habit. We made that habit like we were at

01:06:33 --> 01:06:38

SFSU SAMSA State University Raymer like we did the prayer and they're

01:06:38 --> 01:06:43

like three prayers we should do an MSA and we were always in voodoo

01:06:43 --> 01:06:45

and a cassis winter bath and we came up with it because we know in

01:06:45 --> 01:06:48

two hours we have to do acid in Gemma. So we're going to be in

01:06:48 --> 01:06:52

Moodle. So this concept of not being in Moodle is very alien for

01:06:52 --> 01:06:55

the Muslims. They were always in will do they went to the bathroom

01:06:55 --> 01:07:00

to came up in will do if you're in will do that. That's the layer one

01:07:00 --> 01:07:02

protection against shaitan and vice versa. Because you're pure

01:07:02 --> 01:07:07

Satan loves those things that are impure, right? Number two is then

01:07:08 --> 01:07:13

you have Taqwa of of the limbs, not just physical, but you're not

01:07:13 --> 01:07:16

going to hit somebody with your hands. You're not going to speak

01:07:16 --> 01:07:18

foul language with your tongue. You're not going to look at the

01:07:18 --> 01:07:21

Haram you're not going to listen to the haram. So those things you

01:07:21 --> 01:07:26

have the second level but anyways, these things will help you get

01:07:26 --> 01:07:30

protection. But all of your thoughts come from four sources

01:07:30 --> 01:07:34

and if you get this you know where where everything comes from, we

01:07:34 --> 01:07:38

will be called co author and this is Rahimullah in number has Ali's

01:07:38 --> 01:07:42

contribution and many other many other scholars.

01:07:43 --> 01:07:48

He said the first one is quantum of money. It is thoughts that come

01:07:48 --> 01:07:54

from man from Allah. These are generally their commandment to do

01:07:54 --> 01:07:58

good. When you have those thoughts are like kind of like tell you get

01:07:58 --> 01:07:59

up and pray.

01:08:00 --> 01:08:03

Give us a call. It's Ramadan, you're supposed to pay it. But

01:08:03 --> 01:08:08

why? What are you waiting for? Like that is a up that that is the

01:08:08 --> 01:08:14

thought that's inspired by a man right? He said the second one is

01:08:14 --> 01:08:20

carotid Molokini. It starts from angels. And they're good, but

01:08:20 --> 01:08:24

they're not commanding. They're more of just telling you to do it

01:08:24 --> 01:08:28

like you know, gentle reminder. Right? A Ramadan this year is

01:08:28 --> 01:08:32

really nice to give us a card during the summer, given last time

01:08:32 --> 01:08:36

when we felt really good, right? Come on to stand the prayer if you

01:08:36 --> 01:08:39

read them is going to be necessity time and then you might lose it.

01:08:39 --> 01:08:41

Why do you want to lose your prayer? Come on, man, you know,

01:08:42 --> 01:08:46

it's just encouragement to do good, right? And then the third

01:08:46 --> 01:08:51

one is hot air shaytani is thoughts from Shaytaan in this is

01:08:51 --> 01:08:52

always tricky.

01:08:53 --> 01:08:59

shaytaan always tricky. He was always come on zakaat like God

01:08:59 --> 01:09:02

needs your two and a half percent. Really, really you think that is

01:09:02 --> 01:09:07

in need of your money? Who pays the card nowadays? Really? Who

01:09:07 --> 01:09:10

does your sister pay that your uncle pay? But depends Come on.

01:09:10 --> 01:09:14

There's bigger thing you need to worry about. Trust me, you need to

01:09:14 --> 01:09:18

worry about your prayer. See now he wants you to pray just for you

01:09:18 --> 01:09:21

not to pay as a call. That's how smart he is. Right? So he's

01:09:21 --> 01:09:25

whatever he can do then once you leave that the call time is over

01:09:25 --> 01:09:29

then he comes in and gets you out of the prayer too. So he would do

01:09:29 --> 01:09:32

that he'll be tricky to do things like that right? All the shutdowns

01:09:32 --> 01:09:33

is tricky right?

01:09:34 --> 01:09:39

Then the last one is hotter than a sunny most dangerous one. Is the

01:09:39 --> 01:09:44

thought of the knifes your own self your desire. Would you fit

01:09:44 --> 01:09:48

yourself because some of us we turn ourselves into this predator

01:09:49 --> 01:09:53

inside the rear unaware so he's Gazelle is saying that the hot

01:09:53 --> 01:09:57

enough Sani one of the things that it has in common all the time. It

01:09:57 --> 01:09:58

has laziness in it.

01:10:00 --> 01:10:04

Man who where am I going to send my money to quarantine now most of

01:10:04 --> 01:10:06

the institution, even if I give it to them, they're not going to

01:10:06 --> 01:10:11

distributed. I can send it back home. There's nobody, there's no

01:10:11 --> 01:10:14

you know, oh my god, like, you know, yeah, you know, but I'll do

01:10:14 --> 01:10:17

it later you know do didn't shovel six days a shovel I fastened I'll

01:10:17 --> 01:10:21

do is just it's just lazy, you know, I can pray inshallah later

01:10:21 --> 01:10:24

you know, you know even if I prayed later is more blessing than

01:10:24 --> 01:10:28

I can do to me to hide you to just you just procast and in laziness.

01:10:29 --> 01:10:32

So thoughts come from these sources. So once you start knowing

01:10:32 --> 01:10:35

it, you know which one is from whence, and then three, you

01:10:35 --> 01:10:39

abandon the two this from shaytani funnily enough, and you take on

01:10:39 --> 01:10:43

the one that is from Allah, and from the angels. And that's how

01:10:43 --> 01:10:48

you start going forward with your life. Amazing does like more fit

01:10:48 --> 01:10:53

and I have questions now I would like to just again, use the time

01:10:53 --> 01:10:57

that we have with you to make sure that people who are attending are

01:10:57 --> 01:11:01

also they they've submitted questions, and then we get to

01:11:01 --> 01:11:04

them. So let me quickly just see if we can are they being

01:11:04 --> 01:11:08

displayed, by the way? Because here's one, here's the first

01:11:08 --> 01:11:11

question, how do we deal with getting overlays in it, which is

01:11:11 --> 01:11:13

what you were just speaking about while having more time on our

01:11:13 --> 01:11:18

hands. So very again, you address this but if you have anything more

01:11:18 --> 01:11:23

to advise Inshallah, regarding one of the things about time is this

01:11:23 --> 01:11:27

limit, let me give you one good example of time. The baraka of the

01:11:27 --> 01:11:33

day, is an early hour of dawn. The back of the day is an early hour.

01:11:33 --> 01:11:37

And this is why if you look at the west and the east, the successful

01:11:37 --> 01:11:41

people in the religion, the successful earlier, what can they

01:11:41 --> 01:11:44

get up to 100? They get up early pre Dawn, then they pray Fudger do

01:11:44 --> 01:11:46

they sleep after fajr? No. Right?

01:11:48 --> 01:11:52

What time does Bill Gates go to work? Just googling what time he

01:11:52 --> 01:11:57

goes to work? 5am right. What about Zuckerberg? What time did

01:11:57 --> 01:12:00

you go to just Google it? Steve Jobs, what time did he went to

01:12:00 --> 01:12:05

work? Like they were all at work by 5am 4am They were all because

01:12:05 --> 01:12:08

the early hour, Allah's put blessing in that hour and early in

01:12:08 --> 01:12:12

the in the morning time. Most people they sleep through the

01:12:12 --> 01:12:16

morning time, like they get up, you know, they get up shallow for

01:12:16 --> 01:12:19

5g and then they go to sleep. And it's a bad habit. Most of us have

01:12:19 --> 01:12:22

it, we're all guilty of it. But to make a habit, especially

01:12:22 --> 01:12:26

especially during the time of the year, where 5g is like laters at

01:12:26 --> 01:12:30

6am 630. And then you don't sleep afterwards, you can get a lot more

01:12:30 --> 01:12:35

done in those hours. And then to sleep earlier is better to say and

01:12:35 --> 01:12:40

I'm Macassar myself on that. So I'm trying you know, I've changed

01:12:40 --> 01:12:44

a lot in with age you can stay up late at night anyways. So you get

01:12:44 --> 01:12:47

to sleep early and you get up earlier. So it's really good to go

01:12:47 --> 01:12:51

to sleep early, early. The you know the famous problem. Early to

01:12:51 --> 01:12:53

bed early to rise makes a man happy, healthy and wise right.

01:12:55 --> 01:12:55

I'm doing

01:12:56 --> 01:13:01

excellent. So we have more questions coming in. Here's a good

01:13:01 --> 01:13:04

one that I think people might need a little bit more insight on. How

01:13:04 --> 01:13:09

do you know how to differentiate the CHE tonic thoughts from Neff

01:13:09 --> 01:13:13

see thoughts? Yeah, so as we just mentioned shaitan thoughts are

01:13:13 --> 01:13:18

always tricky. But remember shaitan doesn't know you?

01:13:19 --> 01:13:24

What does he get his information from? From your knifes? room he

01:13:24 --> 01:13:28

said nerves is the wiki leak and that's my translation. They said

01:13:28 --> 01:13:33

knifes is the wiki leak to shaitan the wiki leak. Yeah, it leaks your

01:13:33 --> 01:13:39

secret to share it on a listen. This man is in love with gambling.

01:13:40 --> 01:13:44

So shaytaan would just entice you he's okay got him. This man love,

01:13:44 --> 01:13:50

you know, wine. Like me, I mentioned this example at the

01:13:50 --> 01:13:54

retina with the students that you know I had a bad experience when I

01:13:54 --> 01:14:00

was young with alcohol I saw somebody drunk and they passed out

01:14:00 --> 01:14:06

and vomiting and and and it was really disgusting to see that like

01:14:06 --> 01:14:12

this person. And and I hated alcohol like it was just something

01:14:12 --> 01:14:17

I couldn't stand up to today I there's nothing in the world I

01:14:17 --> 01:14:23

hate more than alcohol. Like I just not only doesn't is not

01:14:23 --> 01:14:28

appealing to me I actually hate it even when I go shopping. I can't

01:14:28 --> 01:14:32

even go into I literally i My heart starts pounding going nuts.

01:14:32 --> 01:14:37

I just go back and I go from the other eyes to go get stuff so he

01:14:37 --> 01:14:41

has never ever enticed me with alcohol. Never

01:14:42 --> 01:14:46

like never had a thing in my head that he might be good try not

01:14:46 --> 01:14:49

never, but there are things that I'm weak and he always comes with

01:14:49 --> 01:14:54

those ideas in my head right? So the knifes is the one relief so

01:14:54 --> 01:14:58

you have to get your nerves under control. So how do you get your

01:14:58 --> 01:15:00

nerves under control? When we go

01:15:00 --> 01:15:04

About to a hospital Islam and he said there's two ways you get your

01:15:04 --> 01:15:08

nerves under control. He said the nerves feeds the food of the

01:15:08 --> 01:15:13

nerves is desires. You go to the mall. Whoa, what a beautiful

01:15:13 --> 01:15:16

person, I'm gonna get that I'm crazy for it. I'm dying for it.

01:15:17 --> 01:15:21

You get that you just gave you enough. But he wanted, I want this

01:15:21 --> 01:15:24

food I'm craving. We're craving different types of food every two

01:15:24 --> 01:15:28

hours and, and then we give that so the nafs is getting what it

01:15:28 --> 01:15:34

wants. You need food. You don't need a specific type of food to

01:15:34 --> 01:15:39

eat. Right? You need a purse, you don't need a specific type of

01:15:39 --> 01:15:43

purse, get a nice purse, but not the one that Oh, my nest is crazy

01:15:43 --> 01:15:48

for the corner. My nest is crazy for it. Right? You know, I my last

01:15:48 --> 01:15:51

car when I was shopping, I told I went to the dealer and I said I'm

01:15:51 --> 01:15:54

going to come at 9pm is every closing I say listen, I can't come

01:15:54 --> 01:15:58

before that. Can you stay? He said Yeah, can you come at least 830

01:15:58 --> 01:16:02

and McGraw was about eight o'clock. So I said shorts. I went

01:16:02 --> 01:16:05

to the dealer on 830. So I pitch darkness. And these guys, I don't

01:16:05 --> 01:16:09

want to see the car, the color. He said Why? Because you said you

01:16:09 --> 01:16:11

don't know my desire for colors of the car.

01:16:12 --> 01:16:16

I don't want to I don't want my knifes to make me weak. I want a

01:16:16 --> 01:16:22

very family oriented color. You know, my friend told you just give

01:16:22 --> 01:16:24

me that don't show me option because I'm gonna change my mind.

01:16:25 --> 01:16:28

So literally, I went to office, I signed all the papers. Then I went

01:16:28 --> 01:16:32

and sat in the car that I actually bought. But because I know my

01:16:32 --> 01:16:35

naps, I know have witnessed this colors of the course I don't want

01:16:35 --> 01:16:38

to give it into every day I come out and I see that and I'm like,

01:16:38 --> 01:16:42

Whoa, look at this car, look at the color. And I'm feeding my

01:16:42 --> 01:16:45

mouse. I'm feeding my nuts. So you don't get those things that the

01:16:45 --> 01:16:48

next one but you get it you get a nice car. There's nothing wrong. I

01:16:48 --> 01:16:50

got the car that I wanted. I didn't get the color that I

01:16:50 --> 01:16:54

wanted. I didn't get all of those options that my enough's wanted, I

01:16:54 --> 01:17:00

didn't need it. I needed a car. I wanted the stuff I needed a car.

01:17:01 --> 01:17:06

But I wanted the sunroof, I wanted the the navigation system, I mean

01:17:06 --> 01:17:10

the iPhone, I don't need a navigation system. Right? It looks

01:17:10 --> 01:17:13

nice. But I got what I needed. So

01:17:15 --> 01:17:19

you don't give it what it wants. You give what it needs. The second

01:17:19 --> 01:17:23

way you said NASA is like a donkey that you have to put a lot of

01:17:23 --> 01:17:28

weight on it until it collapses. And the wait is extra acts of

01:17:28 --> 01:17:32

worship. So you do after the prayer you said don't don't just

01:17:32 --> 01:17:36

leave the prayer rugs, one of the big the worst habit of the of the

01:17:36 --> 01:17:38

young generation, they pray Islamic

01:17:39 --> 01:17:41

either they pick up their phone, or they leave

01:17:43 --> 01:17:48

just one minute 60 seconds. That's all I'm asking 60 These are all

01:17:48 --> 01:17:52

game changer for me it was game to one minute, just sit there. Even

01:17:52 --> 01:17:54

if you're not doing anything, just sit on the payroll, don't do

01:17:54 --> 01:17:59

anything. It will come to you. It will come to you. It will make you

01:17:59 --> 01:18:02

do things. Trust me. If you're sitting on that prayer rug, you're

01:18:02 --> 01:18:05

not touching your phone, you're not doing anything, a vicar will

01:18:05 --> 01:18:08

come adore will come you will remember someone than they needed

01:18:08 --> 01:18:12

to, they will come to your mind. You'll be amazed people come to me

01:18:12 --> 01:18:15

they haven't thought about them in 10 years, that then you make dua

01:18:15 --> 01:18:19

for them. Just spend a minute after each prayer on the payroll.

01:18:19 --> 01:18:24

And then these are spiritual practices, right? Do a couple of

01:18:24 --> 01:18:27

units of natural plant a day, just two units a day. That's like

01:18:27 --> 01:18:31

putting a lot of weight on your donkey, right? Have a jar in your

01:18:31 --> 01:18:37

house and put a quarter a day 50 cents a day. If you can do to $1 a

01:18:37 --> 01:18:41

day. If you're well off, do $2 a day. And you have children give

01:18:41 --> 01:18:45

all of the children's according to put in the donation box. So they

01:18:45 --> 01:18:49

can give donation regularly they know how to give donations. These

01:18:49 --> 01:18:52

are all like wait on that donkey because you're giving donate

01:18:52 --> 01:18:56

instead of giving $30 at the end of the month your budget, make a

01:18:56 --> 01:19:00

jar and put $1 Every day in the jar. It is more weight on the

01:19:00 --> 01:19:04

donkey than the $30 at the end of the month. Yeah, amazing does that

01:19:04 --> 01:19:07

mark? You mentioned him about bizarrely and I wanted to just

01:19:07 --> 01:19:10

quickly share because it's relevant to everything.

01:19:11 --> 01:19:15

He has the text out to me of the happiness and there are these

01:19:15 --> 01:19:19

chapter books that talk about many of the things that you're sharing

01:19:19 --> 01:19:23

right on how to a treatment of the lust of the stomach and the sexual

01:19:23 --> 01:19:26

organs and the treatment of pride and conceit Chi Minh of love of

01:19:26 --> 01:19:29

power control of the harms of the tongue, but we can look to these

01:19:29 --> 01:19:33

amazing scholars guidance on all of these things. So for those who

01:19:33 --> 01:19:36

are interested, I'm not sure if you yourself are separated and

01:19:36 --> 01:19:40

have them every bookstore but I think they're very beneficial for

01:19:40 --> 01:19:44

people to read through this, these texts during the month of Ramadan

01:19:44 --> 01:19:47

or even before in preparation for them. So I just wanted to quickly

01:19:47 --> 01:19:51

mention those. As you were speaking about amount of Zadie. We

01:19:51 --> 01:19:55

do have a few more questions again, I'm going to post them in

01:19:55 --> 01:19:58

Sharla so that you can address them. Let me just pull them up.

01:20:00 --> 01:20:06

So here is one Bismillah. Let's forgive me I'm just going to

01:20:08 --> 01:20:12

I was this one, okay. Reconnecting with Allah for those who may have

01:20:12 --> 01:20:17

lost their connection. What are some practical ways to do that,

01:20:17 --> 01:20:21

especially as we usher in this beautiful month? You know, one

01:20:21 --> 01:20:25

thing that you have come to said is, I think that this is really

01:20:25 --> 01:20:30

something that all of us we need to really think about this. Nobody

01:20:30 --> 01:20:32

is disconnected from Allah.

01:20:33 --> 01:20:36

That is a greatest lie that ever been told. Because if you're

01:20:36 --> 01:20:41

disconnected from Allah to Allah, an eyelid you don't exist. Would

01:20:41 --> 01:20:46

you miss connection to Allah? You're just unaware of it.

01:20:47 --> 01:20:48

That's all it is.

01:20:49 --> 01:20:52

Allah resides in the heart of every human being.

01:20:54 --> 01:20:55

Right?

01:20:56 --> 01:21:00

A lot of is at the heart of every human being in a room is said Gulf

01:21:00 --> 01:21:04

pipe on barchart farm with us Monday amigo jam that bolo pass

01:21:05 --> 01:21:08

when we said that the Prophet said that Allah says there's a hadith

01:21:08 --> 01:21:12

squatty that I don't fit I don't I'm not contained by the by the

01:21:12 --> 01:21:17

skies or by the Earth. That is Amina awesome on Ash knees, my

01:21:17 --> 01:21:22

noggin jump in the opinion a as is. The arch cannot contain me.

01:21:23 --> 01:21:27

The Earth cannot contain me. The heavens cannot contain me. None of

01:21:27 --> 01:21:33

them can know this with certainty. Oh my friend, right? That delay

01:21:33 --> 01:21:39

more Minda going jump a Agia. How wondrous is this? I'm content in

01:21:39 --> 01:21:41

the heart of the believer.

01:21:42 --> 01:21:47

Garma Raju E. Del Hautala. And if you want to seek Me, seek me in

01:21:47 --> 01:21:52

the heart of the believers. Go and seek ALLAH in your own heart. You

01:21:52 --> 01:21:54

don't need to go anywhere to be connected to Allah. Connect

01:21:54 --> 01:21:59

yourself to your own heart, and you will see the light of God. He

01:21:59 --> 01:22:03

is there. Rumi said I traveled through the valleys, couldn't find

01:22:03 --> 01:22:06

them in search of God. Then I went to the top of the mountains,

01:22:06 --> 01:22:09

couldn't find them on top of the mountains. Then I went to the

01:22:09 --> 01:22:14

depth. He wasn't there. Then I went to the Kaaba. I couldn't find

01:22:14 --> 01:22:18

him in the cabin either. Then I went to Jerusalem. He wasn't there

01:22:18 --> 01:22:20

either. Then I went to the church. He wasn't there. I went to the

01:22:20 --> 01:22:24

synagogue. He wasn't there. I went to the temple. He wasn't there. I

01:22:24 --> 01:22:26

went to the desert. He wasn't there. I went to the sky.

01:22:27 --> 01:22:31

Everywhere I went, I couldn't find it. So I came back home. There he

01:22:31 --> 01:22:32

was all alone.

01:22:34 --> 01:22:35

Right there.

01:22:36 --> 01:22:37

Absolutely beautiful.

01:22:41 --> 01:22:43

He's there, but we just need to reconnect ourselves with our

01:22:43 --> 01:22:47

hearts. And in our hearts are dying because we're disconnected

01:22:47 --> 01:22:50

from it. And once you connect with your heart,

01:22:52 --> 01:22:57

it the power of that is beyond words can explain. It's just

01:22:57 --> 01:23:00

there's no way to explain when you're connected with your heart,

01:23:00 --> 01:23:05

because you connected with a light of Allah. And he's, God will never

01:23:05 --> 01:23:08

abandon his servant. And he said,

01:23:09 --> 01:23:14

you know, Allah treats his servants, as though he has only

01:23:14 --> 01:23:15

one servant.

01:23:16 --> 01:23:20

Allah treats his servants as easy as once it's special attention to

01:23:20 --> 01:23:24

each and every one of us. But we treat God as though there's the

01:23:24 --> 01:23:25

millions of Gods there.

01:23:26 --> 01:23:27

You know,

01:23:29 --> 01:23:33

Allah's Mercy is beyond the forms of the ocean. He is there, all you

01:23:33 --> 01:23:36

have to do is take a journey inside, click a few minutes a day

01:23:36 --> 01:23:39

and reflect on yourself. Look inside yourself and you will find

01:23:39 --> 01:23:45

him trust me, you will find him you can run away from God you will

01:23:45 --> 01:23:46

only run into him.

01:23:48 --> 01:23:53

Is that more hidden? We have another question here. What do we

01:23:53 --> 01:23:57

do if we have too much anxiety every time we try to do good work.

01:23:57 --> 01:24:01

So this is I think in from a psychological perspective, this

01:24:01 --> 01:24:07

would be scrupulosity maybe OCD or feelings of you know, just not

01:24:08 --> 01:24:13

control. Yeah. The thing is about anxiety, there's one anxiety

01:24:13 --> 01:24:17

that's good. The other anxieties are not good. The anxiety that is

01:24:17 --> 01:24:19

good that the Prophet sallallahu sallam said, make all your

01:24:19 --> 01:24:23

anxiety, one anxiety, the anxiety of meeting Allah, think about

01:24:23 --> 01:24:26

that. That's fine. He said, You know, I'm going to meet a lot

01:24:26 --> 01:24:30

because then you put your life in perspective. And when we talked

01:24:30 --> 01:24:33

about the five points, everything will be in perspective. I'm going

01:24:33 --> 01:24:37

to meet Allah hyung How am I doing with my time? I'm going to meet

01:24:37 --> 01:24:39

Allah, what am I doing with my youth? I'm going to be Allah, what

01:24:39 --> 01:24:42

am I doing with my wife? I'm going to so all of those will come in

01:24:42 --> 01:24:46

place, if their anxieties anxiety of meeting your Lord on a day of

01:24:46 --> 01:24:51

judgment. And you have you have to have the fear. Right? That fear

01:24:51 --> 01:24:56

gets you close to Allah, but hope, right, hope and trust in Allah

01:24:56 --> 01:25:00

subhanaw taala you have to have trust in God that he is more than

01:25:00 --> 01:25:05

First of all, then your mother 70 times more merciful than your

01:25:05 --> 01:25:09

mother to you. So you look at it that way. So do whatever you can.

01:25:10 --> 01:25:12

The religion does not need us.

01:25:15 --> 01:25:17

You have to come to that conclusion. Don't feel like oh,

01:25:17 --> 01:25:21

the DEA needs me I have to do things because the dean is in dire

01:25:21 --> 01:25:25

need of me. So what if we all die right now with the dean die? No.

01:25:26 --> 01:25:29

The dean is going to continue their religion did you need him?

01:25:29 --> 01:25:29

I'm understanding

01:25:31 --> 01:25:34

that religion doesn't need anybody. Nobody. We need the

01:25:34 --> 01:25:35

religion.

01:25:36 --> 01:25:40

The service that we're doing is not a favor to God. It's a favor

01:25:40 --> 01:25:46

to ourselves. If we get to fix shoes at the masjid, what an honor

01:25:46 --> 01:25:50

that Allah has given us. Right now we're not honoring God by choosing

01:25:51 --> 01:25:54

fixing shoe that is at his house. No, we're being honored by the

01:25:55 --> 01:26:01

right. So do what you can do with your limits, know your limits, and

01:26:01 --> 01:26:05

do that, that you can, the little that you can. Look.

01:26:06 --> 01:26:10

There's a there's a story now. And I believe it's in our thoughts

01:26:12 --> 01:26:13

that

01:26:14 --> 01:26:17

a woman heard that there's a Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu

01:26:17 --> 01:26:21

Sallam that whoever builds and women did great things and Osama

01:26:21 --> 01:26:24

and I know that you're you've been working with with a lot of

01:26:24 --> 01:26:28

contribution of the woman to civilization in the first

01:26:28 --> 01:26:33

universities and, and I and actually, Inshallah, I'm planning

01:26:33 --> 01:26:35

to do a couple of things about some of the women's of

01:26:35 --> 01:26:36

Afghanistan.

01:26:37 --> 01:26:41

That really floored me like DBCP, one of the great saints that

01:26:41 --> 01:26:44

nobody knows about chooses to be pregnant. But her husband, they

01:26:44 --> 01:26:48

were like, they used to go and rob caravans, and she used to have

01:26:48 --> 01:26:52

swore, yeah. And then she makes Toba and she became BBC t, you

01:26:52 --> 01:26:56

know, like, cities in Arabic for CV, right? In BV in Persian like

01:26:56 --> 01:27:01

that, you know, like the master, and then she has all these, you

01:27:01 --> 01:27:04

know, 1000s of Marines and is amazing woman husband, wife. But

01:27:04 --> 01:27:08

anyway, so grave I visited last time, and I want to start anyway,

01:27:08 --> 01:27:11

so this is woman who heard about this hadith that whoever does a

01:27:11 --> 01:27:11

masjid

01:27:13 --> 01:27:15

will get a castle in paradise.

01:27:16 --> 01:27:20

Because you know what? God has given me one as give me power to

01:27:20 --> 01:27:24

do it. I'm going to build the best Masjid in my country.

01:27:25 --> 01:27:28

So she started building the machine. She builds the machine,

01:27:29 --> 01:27:31

finishes it. And then

01:27:33 --> 01:27:36

people come say we want help for No, no, I don't want anything. I

01:27:36 --> 01:27:38

don't want any money. Nothing. I want to build this stupid

01:27:38 --> 01:27:43

everything by herself. Anyways, they have judgment comes in. I

01:27:43 --> 01:27:47

said, the Allah, you promised that you're going to give up a castle.

01:27:48 --> 01:27:50

For the people who build a machine. I built the machine and

01:27:50 --> 01:27:55

the best one in the nation. Allah says, Whatever my prophet said,

01:27:55 --> 01:27:59

He's us is the truthful. Go in your in paradise and go into your

01:27:59 --> 01:28:03

castle. So he goes in paradise. She sees that this beautiful

01:28:03 --> 01:28:07

castle is perfect. She's like, amazed. She just goes everywhere.

01:28:07 --> 01:28:10

And then she goes to the balcony of our castle. And then she sees

01:28:10 --> 01:28:16

another castle that is better and bigger, on higher. Right, because

01:28:17 --> 01:28:20

I have a question because what is your question says, Nobody built a

01:28:20 --> 01:28:26

better machine than I did. Who built that cat? Who What did they

01:28:26 --> 01:28:28

build? I want to know. They said Go ask him.

01:28:30 --> 01:28:33

Go ask him. So he goes ask him we said how did you get this cast?

01:28:33 --> 01:28:37

And he goes, Oh, you won't believe it. How I got it. How are you? He

01:28:37 --> 01:28:38

said I was traveling through Baghdad.

01:28:39 --> 01:28:43

And it was raining. Really bad rain. It was night. I was

01:28:43 --> 01:28:47

traveling. I was wanting to sleep someone and people need to go and

01:28:47 --> 01:28:49

sleep in a magic Pina is

01:28:50 --> 01:28:54

built around opening hasn't happened. And I saw that the

01:28:54 --> 01:28:59

window was clogged up with leaves from the trees. And I said man, if

01:28:59 --> 01:29:02

the rain gets on this is going to damage the roof. So I climbed up

01:29:02 --> 01:29:05

and I opened the rain gutter and remove all the leaves in the water

01:29:05 --> 01:29:09

flow from the roof. And Allah gave me this for that.

01:29:10 --> 01:29:11

He said that was my mother.

01:29:15 --> 01:29:19

It is not the size that you have to the person who removed the leaf

01:29:19 --> 01:29:24

from the machine guy because his intention when did he do it in the

01:29:24 --> 01:29:29

middle of the night raining nobody's there. Sincerity to

01:29:29 --> 01:29:35

Allah, because Allah sees in here as a black end on a black rock in

01:29:35 --> 01:29:40

a pitch black night. Nothing. One of my good friends City, Boston,

01:29:40 --> 01:29:42

Diana, he told me one day something I was I was really

01:29:42 --> 01:29:45

depressed was one of the bad days of your life when you like

01:29:45 --> 01:29:50

depressed and this is a long time ago, over 20 years ago. And he

01:29:50 --> 01:29:53

goes if something happened, I did something. And I really worked

01:29:53 --> 01:29:57

hard for like three, four months. And somebody just hijacked it and

01:29:57 --> 01:29:59

they did it and they they said they did it.

01:30:00 --> 01:30:02

I said, I did the whole thing and I was like, you know you when

01:30:02 --> 01:30:06

you're young, and then he came, he says, I know you did it. He said,

01:30:06 --> 01:30:09

he said, If I knew he did it he did you think a lot doesn't know

01:30:09 --> 01:30:13

you did it. And he laughed, and he said something he was if I do

01:30:14 --> 01:30:19

remember that, I swear to God, I remember the time, the place exact

01:30:19 --> 01:30:22

his face as he was walking away from me from right in front of my

01:30:22 --> 01:30:25

study said they doing nothing is lost, but Allah.

01:30:27 --> 01:30:32

Nothing is lost when Allah, everything is recorded. So when

01:30:32 --> 01:30:37

you do something with sincerity, when you do something, just with

01:30:37 --> 01:30:44

that love for Allah, the reward is going to be immense. You people

01:30:44 --> 01:30:46

will be shocked on the Day of Judgment with the reward that

01:30:46 --> 01:30:48

they're going to get for the little things that they do. So

01:30:48 --> 01:30:52

don't anxieties come when we try and do this a gigantic projects,

01:30:52 --> 01:30:58

and we don't do the small things, and the blessings on the small.

01:30:59 --> 01:31:00

Absolutely beautiful.

01:31:03 --> 01:31:07

Who more questions and again, I appreciate your time. So if we

01:31:07 --> 01:31:10

didn't, we had her set for it. And we had a lot of you for an hour

01:31:10 --> 01:31:13

and we're going into an hour and a half. But I know that I myself

01:31:13 --> 01:31:16

don't want this to end and I'm sure everybody else is in

01:31:16 --> 01:31:21

agreement. This is just such sound beautiful advice and gems that

01:31:21 --> 01:31:24

you're giving us. So I'm just pulling up a couple more questions

01:31:24 --> 01:31:30

here in shot law. Is it okay to make dawn for Allah to remove you

01:31:30 --> 01:31:34

from your in laws house and give you your own house? says a bit.

01:31:34 --> 01:31:37

Very good question. I actually love that question. And the reason

01:31:37 --> 01:31:43

why I love it is twofold. One is we are we have a tradition. And

01:31:43 --> 01:31:47

this goes I want I want the parents and grandparents, watch.

01:31:47 --> 01:31:50

They're not on Instagram, so they won't listen to this. But anyways,

01:31:50 --> 01:31:52

I will stay with that.

01:31:54 --> 01:31:55

We have a tradition.

01:31:56 --> 01:31:57

And in this tradition

01:32:00 --> 01:32:02

certain things worked really well.

01:32:04 --> 01:32:10

Back home, but it doesn't work really well here because time in

01:32:10 --> 01:32:14

place have changed. We haven't grown with our time in place.

01:32:15 --> 01:32:19

People like when we grew up. We all live in one house brothers

01:32:19 --> 01:32:23

sisters, you know, everybody lived in one house, right?

01:32:24 --> 01:32:28

It was fine. Big houses, servants. Everything was perfect.

01:32:30 --> 01:32:36

It doesn't work anymore. That is a dream to make you you're trying to

01:32:36 --> 01:32:41

make India Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Morocco. In America, it

01:32:41 --> 01:32:45

doesn't work in this country. Because we don't have the same

01:32:45 --> 01:32:49

lifestyle. We don't have the same CBN at the same time in the same

01:32:49 --> 01:32:54

place. It does not work. But for people who want to make that dua,

01:32:54 --> 01:32:59

you have to add something to draw. And this is this is something that

01:32:59 --> 01:33:02

really benefited me a lot. So I'm just

01:33:03 --> 01:33:06

I just want you to know I'm not a scholar or anything. I'm just

01:33:06 --> 01:33:09

sharing with you what I've learned, what benefited me, I want

01:33:09 --> 01:33:13

to share it so you can benefit because as long as my sharing,

01:33:13 --> 01:33:16

right believe me well if the prophet Sal or some of the Teach,

01:33:16 --> 01:33:19

even if you know one verse, whatever you learn any benefit in

01:33:19 --> 01:33:23

you say it to people don't hold this. It's no Island, it is only

01:33:23 --> 01:33:24

for me right?

01:33:28 --> 01:33:33

When you make dua, you add these words at the end of your DUA even

01:33:33 --> 01:33:37

if you're saying this in your law, give me a house so I can be

01:33:37 --> 01:33:42

independent from my in laws and say, with higher loads in arshia.

01:33:43 --> 01:33:46

You add those three things, that if it's good for me,

01:33:47 --> 01:33:51

right, there's gentlest in this move, right? And there's well

01:33:51 --> 01:33:56

being what if you move into a house in that house has termites

01:33:56 --> 01:33:59

or something so you go there all of you get sick, your children get

01:33:59 --> 01:34:01

sick, and you get terminally ill?

01:34:02 --> 01:34:03

You're out from your laws?

01:34:04 --> 01:34:07

Right, you're out from your in laws, but you went to a place that

01:34:07 --> 01:34:11

there was no hate, there was no law. There's no Afia so as those

01:34:11 --> 01:34:15

that it's, you know, you know, one of the Yemeni scholars mentioned

01:34:15 --> 01:34:19

about a man who who went to heights and he heard that the

01:34:19 --> 01:34:23

first draft when you see the cabin is accepted. So even you know, he

01:34:23 --> 01:34:26

went to hygine saba cabassa currency Allah wanna die as a

01:34:26 --> 01:34:30

Shaheed every Muslim, they want to get the rank of the Martino. They

01:34:30 --> 01:34:34

said when he came back, as soon as he got home, a lion attacked him

01:34:34 --> 01:34:37

and ripped him apart and ate him as he became a Shahe been horrible

01:34:37 --> 01:34:43

way that it is with hazelnuts in half yet that you can die in your

01:34:43 --> 01:34:48

bed and you get the mango shahada right now, so always have that so

01:34:48 --> 01:34:52

it doesn't harm you. Right. It's very difficult. I know a lot of my

01:34:52 --> 01:34:56

people that I counsel and I talked to that they have difficulties,

01:34:57 --> 01:35:00

and for some people, it might be your key

01:35:00 --> 01:35:03

to paradise dealing with your mouse, while I like it might be

01:35:03 --> 01:35:07

like the key to Paradise, like just being patient. And you would

01:35:07 --> 01:35:11

see like, what, what, what will come out of it. But for a lot of

01:35:11 --> 01:35:15

people, there's there's a cap where we call cap limit, people

01:35:15 --> 01:35:18

are limited, you know, you can take so much, you know, not

01:35:18 --> 01:35:25

everyone is has that capacity to, to go on for years and years. And

01:35:25 --> 01:35:28

it's not in this country. It is not healthy, unless, you know,

01:35:28 --> 01:35:31

there are people who have I know a friend of mine who has that two

01:35:31 --> 01:35:35

houses that are, you know, like detached, but like they have the

01:35:35 --> 01:35:38

back connected to each other one is them. And one is the in laws,

01:35:38 --> 01:35:43

things like that is easier. Because the parents are older, and

01:35:43 --> 01:35:45

he wants to check up on him daily and make sure and share their

01:35:45 --> 01:35:49

food. Those are beautiful things, you know, you just have to you

01:35:49 --> 01:35:52

know, people need to do things and laws treat them, like your

01:35:52 --> 01:35:55

parents, regardless, you have to treat them like your parents.

01:35:56 --> 01:36:00

Beautiful advice, because you're really helping people have again,

01:36:00 --> 01:36:04

a broader view of things instead of just that short, limited

01:36:04 --> 01:36:08

instant gratification lens that a lot of people have gotten used to,

01:36:08 --> 01:36:10

or they're only thinking of the immediate. But when you make a dua

01:36:10 --> 01:36:15

with such a holistic, comprehensive way of doing it,

01:36:15 --> 01:36:17

you're thinking of long term for everything, you're the

01:36:17 --> 01:36:21

consequences of whatever you're asking for, for everybody

01:36:21 --> 01:36:25

impacted. You know, so it's really beautiful advice. Just

01:36:26 --> 01:36:31

we have a class last one last one you don't want to push into.

01:36:33 --> 01:36:34

I think people are getting tired. So

01:36:36 --> 01:36:37

we're getting into the

01:36:40 --> 01:36:45

let's see here is doing some Okay, Michelle. I'm just skimming

01:36:45 --> 01:36:48

through these to find one so that we're not overlapping with the

01:36:48 --> 01:36:49

same questions.

01:36:51 --> 01:36:55

So this is also a good I think question just to kind of give us

01:36:55 --> 01:36:58

perspective about because the theme is the value of time

01:36:58 --> 01:37:02

prioritization. So here's the question is doing something

01:37:02 --> 01:37:06

beneficial? When you have other pending priorities? Also a waste

01:37:06 --> 01:37:11

of time? How do we met? How do we prioritize, I think, is kind of

01:37:11 --> 01:37:16

what this question is asking. Yeah. And you know, in life, the

01:37:16 --> 01:37:20

thing is that all of us, if you if you want to look at your life, all

01:37:20 --> 01:37:23

of us, we can say we have a million things to do. And that's a

01:37:23 --> 01:37:26

reality, especially those who are parents, you know, you have this

01:37:26 --> 01:37:31

responsibility, people who are at home, you know, the wife or the

01:37:31 --> 01:37:34

mother that are cooking and cleaning, and, you know, it's just

01:37:34 --> 01:37:38

these idiots, those are certain things, there's an end, like the

01:37:38 --> 01:37:42

house cleaning doesn't end every day as washing is washing dishes,

01:37:42 --> 01:37:44

these these motions and

01:37:47 --> 01:37:51

these activities in these chores, and these are in reality, a form

01:37:51 --> 01:37:56

of a bhaga. Like, you know, to to feed people. Right, so that was

01:37:56 --> 01:38:00

man said, one thing I love about this, you know, people love

01:38:00 --> 01:38:02

feeding people giving people water in these are like part of our

01:38:02 --> 01:38:07

tradition. So there's a million things we have to do all of us.

01:38:08 --> 01:38:14

Sometimes what happened we get overwhelmed, right? And the

01:38:14 --> 01:38:18

Greeks, they, they use this in war, but I use it in my daily

01:38:18 --> 01:38:24

life. Divide and conquer. That's my model, divide and conquer. So I

01:38:24 --> 01:38:27

sometimes I get them I said, Oh my god, I have like these. See, you

01:38:27 --> 01:38:30

know what? Okay, one thing I'm going to do this month, okay, I'm

01:38:30 --> 01:38:33

not going to think about anything. So let me get this done. One of

01:38:33 --> 01:38:36

them, okay, I'm going to do this, I have to eat whatever it is, I

01:38:36 --> 01:38:38

have to memorize it, I gotta memorize, I gotta get it done. I

01:38:38 --> 01:38:40

don't want to think about anything else. I want to read this, I have

01:38:40 --> 01:38:43

to read this chapter, I made a promise, I'm going to read this

01:38:43 --> 01:38:46

chapter. And I'm going to read it. So I don't think about the million

01:38:46 --> 01:38:49

other things that I have to do. So I have to put all that this is it,

01:38:49 --> 01:38:54

you put it you close it. And the beauty of that is that because

01:38:54 --> 01:38:56

it's like taking weight from your shoulder and putting it away,

01:38:57 --> 01:39:00

taking away from your shoulder and putting it away and you become

01:39:00 --> 01:39:03

lighter and lighter and things becomes easier because you're

01:39:03 --> 01:39:07

going into small chunks. Once you think about oh my god today I have

01:39:07 --> 01:39:10

to do this there's this is that you know, we had this it's you

01:39:10 --> 01:39:16

know, it's a stressful to be live online. Because you can slip you

01:39:16 --> 01:39:18

can say something, we are all human beings, we make mistakes, we

01:39:18 --> 01:39:24

will I'm not trained by any shape way or form in public speaking or

01:39:24 --> 01:39:27

taking classes on public speaking or anything like that. So you're

01:39:27 --> 01:39:31

afraid some you know, you might say something that offend people's

01:39:31 --> 01:39:32

people's, you know, everybody's different.

01:39:33 --> 01:39:37

But you can let the stress you once you make a decision that

01:39:37 --> 01:39:40

you're going, you made that decision and you go positively

01:39:40 --> 01:39:42

towards that. I'm going to do this even though if it's, there's

01:39:42 --> 01:39:47

anxiety. So let's just prepare for that. Right? That's how you go

01:39:47 --> 01:39:50

forward with it. And then the second thing is Okay, I gotta help

01:39:50 --> 01:39:56

my my son with his homework, right? Okay, three 330 to four is

01:39:56 --> 01:39:59

homework. Let's do it. During that time, we need to do homework you

01:40:00 --> 01:40:02

Think about the poem you're trying to memorize, or the verse you're

01:40:02 --> 01:40:05

trying to memorize, you don't think about I need to do cleaning,

01:40:05 --> 01:40:10

you have to give. See, if you read the Shamal of the Prophet

01:40:10 --> 01:40:14

salallahu alayhi salam, one of the thing that really floored me about

01:40:14 --> 01:40:18

our Prophet solos, everything is amazing. He's the most amazing

01:40:18 --> 01:40:21

human be that ever walked on this planet. But one of the thing that

01:40:21 --> 01:40:27

really amazed me that he gave 100% of his attention to whoever asked

01:40:27 --> 01:40:32

for it, he was never see this, this whole thing of multitasking

01:40:32 --> 01:40:34

while you're on the phone, and you're doing this, and you're

01:40:34 --> 01:40:36

talking to someone, and then you're doing you're texting at the

01:40:36 --> 01:40:40

same time and cooking the same time. You're not giving full

01:40:40 --> 01:40:44

attention to the to the person that deserves it. I'm here, I you

01:40:44 --> 01:40:48

know, while you're doing your thing, I can read my own thing and

01:40:48 --> 01:40:51

memorize my poems or my Quran or do something or text, my friends,

01:40:52 --> 01:40:55

I can do that. Right? You can do that anybody can do that. But it'd

01:40:55 --> 01:40:59

be a disservice to you and myself. The provinces, when somebody

01:40:59 --> 01:41:02

called him, he didn't turn his head towards them.

01:41:03 --> 01:41:08

This isn't a Shamaya, he turned his whole body towards them. He

01:41:08 --> 01:41:14

gave his entire physical, spiritual, mental being towards

01:41:14 --> 01:41:18

them. And that's why he was effective. He was real with

01:41:18 --> 01:41:22

people. He was there in that moment with that person. When he

01:41:22 --> 01:41:25

went to the other person, he gave his 100% attention to the other

01:41:25 --> 01:41:31

person. Right? It wasn't like, you know, he treated everybody in with

01:41:31 --> 01:41:35

dignity, with honor. And this is the thing, whatever project you're

01:41:35 --> 01:41:40

doing in your life, give your 100% attention to it. Don't be

01:41:40 --> 01:41:44

scattered, don't think about let four o'clock I'm doing something.

01:41:44 --> 01:41:47

I'm not even worried about four o'clock right now. This is it

01:41:47 --> 01:41:51

right? Now. This is it. I have to pay attention to this right now.

01:41:52 --> 01:41:55

If thoughts of four o'clock comes, I wouldn't be able to speak to you

01:41:55 --> 01:41:58

and say anything, because that's another project I'm doing right.

01:41:58 --> 01:42:01

But that's not going to happen until 316. Or,

01:42:02 --> 01:42:05

Yeah, four o'clock is I'm gonna project I know what I'm doing. I

01:42:05 --> 01:42:08

don't want to think about it. I have to do before that I have to

01:42:08 --> 01:42:11

do some homework. I'll do the homework. Right. Whatever I have

01:42:11 --> 01:42:14

to do I have to wash the dishes, right? So I'll do the washing

01:42:14 --> 01:42:18

dishes. I'm not thinking about washing dishes now. So divide the

01:42:18 --> 01:42:22

work in concrete in managing with time. See,

01:42:23 --> 01:42:28

I attended a seminar many years ago, in a non Muslim seminar, it

01:42:28 --> 01:42:31

was called Lifespring. And one thing that they taught in that was

01:42:31 --> 01:42:33

was really that what I took home from that,

01:42:35 --> 01:42:37

when, you know, Anthony Robbins, and all these people, this is

01:42:37 --> 01:42:38

their model, this is it.

01:42:40 --> 01:42:42

He said they said that

01:42:44 --> 01:42:47

until you don't schedule things. It's not a reality.

01:42:48 --> 01:42:51

It's vain, isn't it? Because they will tell me what are you going to

01:42:51 --> 01:42:55

do? I'm going to do this this they say when said Yeah, so I said no,

01:42:55 --> 01:42:57

but when what date?

01:42:58 --> 01:43:03

Date is until you don't schedule it, it's not a reality. And I had

01:43:03 --> 01:43:06

things like that, that's 20 years ago, that I still haven't done

01:43:06 --> 01:43:09

because I didn't schedule it. But things that I scheduled, I say

01:43:09 --> 01:43:14

listen, hey, what? Ramadan, first, I'm going to do this, right? I

01:43:14 --> 01:43:17

have to start doing it. Right, I have a schedule, there's an alarm

01:43:17 --> 01:43:22

that goes on, okay, I'm gonna get on this. So scheduling things, is

01:43:22 --> 01:43:25

make things real. And then it pushes you to do things and then

01:43:25 --> 01:43:29

divide into small chunks, conquer, put it aside. Next, conquer, put

01:43:29 --> 01:43:33

it aside, and then you get into the habit of this, you will love

01:43:33 --> 01:43:33

it.

01:43:34 --> 01:43:38

Amazing. What a beautiful point. Again, I'm going to respect your

01:43:38 --> 01:43:44

time to end on as we've just covered the value of time to give

01:43:44 --> 01:43:47

us that sound advice as I go off, it's so fleeting. I know from

01:43:47 --> 01:43:51

watching the comments you've been mashallah, speaking for a good

01:43:51 --> 01:43:55

stretch here, but the overwhelming majority of people on these on

01:43:55 --> 01:44:01

these on this thread are very much they want you to you to continue.

01:44:01 --> 01:44:05

And I think we're probably going to be asked to do more of these.

01:44:05 --> 01:44:11

So Inshallah, I hope that you will schedule us in your very busy

01:44:11 --> 01:44:15

schedule, so that people can further benefit from you in sha

01:44:15 --> 01:44:19

Allah, I really appreciate you. Thank you for having us. having me

01:44:19 --> 01:44:24

on your honor, really you all the people that are tuning in, may

01:44:24 --> 01:44:27

Allah bless all of you, and protect you and increase you

01:44:27 --> 01:44:31

during this pandemic and Allah get this disease, this airborne

01:44:31 --> 01:44:34

disease Bismillah Alhamdulillah dorama as we share and fill out

01:44:34 --> 01:44:37

there will be some I was singularly which is this is a

01:44:37 --> 01:44:42

really good two hour that Shama said Hindi recommends for during

01:44:42 --> 01:44:46

pandemic and also Imam had dads have it in the prophetic

01:44:46 --> 01:44:49

invocation and Bismillah Alhamdulillah ly the romance

01:44:49 --> 01:44:52

patient will have a lovely smile. Similarly three times in our

01:44:52 --> 01:44:56

diplomatic light I met in Sharma HELOC three times these are the

01:44:56 --> 01:45:00

two that the bare minimum that we have to do everyday for protect

01:45:00 --> 01:45:04

Shouldn't from this airborne disease this this this this is for

01:45:04 --> 01:45:07

for that purpose. Inshallah, may Allah protect everyone who's

01:45:07 --> 01:45:10

watching this in their families and their loved ones from this

01:45:10 --> 01:45:14

disease and anybody who's who's suffering from any kind of pain,

01:45:14 --> 01:45:19

whether it's spiritual, mental, physical, and he's sicknesses. We

01:45:19 --> 01:45:22

ask Allah to cure them to heal them because the healer is Allah.

01:45:23 --> 01:45:26

Everything comes from Allah subhanaw taala in that anybody

01:45:26 --> 01:45:29

who's struggling with Coronavirus right now amongst the Muslim you

01:45:29 --> 01:45:32

mostly believers amongst the humanity, that Allah cured him and

01:45:32 --> 01:45:37

heal them inshallah and and on the road to recovery back to their

01:45:37 --> 01:45:40

homes insha Allah and Allah remove this May Allah make this a means

01:45:40 --> 01:45:44

that people wake up and realize who Allah is the power of Allah

01:45:44 --> 01:45:48

and get closer to Allah may this not go in vain that we go back to

01:45:48 --> 01:45:51

our daily lives, as though nothing has happened may this be an

01:45:51 --> 01:45:54

awakening of the soul and awakening of the heart inshallah

01:45:54 --> 01:45:58

that we become better human being become people who would be more

01:45:58 --> 01:46:02

beneficial to the society people who are kinder to our families and

01:46:02 --> 01:46:05

our friends and our neighbors and people who are more generous

01:46:05 --> 01:46:09

inshallah. So, may Allah protect all of you and increase you and

01:46:09 --> 01:46:13

makes you amongst the Salah hemosol and make us amongst people

01:46:13 --> 01:46:16

than in the European allies please join us in the Prophet sallallahu

01:46:16 --> 01:46:20

Sallam looks at us with a smile in Parliament's inshallah Allah

01:46:20 --> 01:46:23

Haven. Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah Thank you against that

01:46:23 --> 01:46:26

vision. And again, if you have any further programs for people,

01:46:26 --> 01:46:30

please let them know all of you who are on this, if you're, if you

01:46:30 --> 01:46:33

haven't yet followed up, really, and I encourage you to follow him.

01:46:33 --> 01:46:36

He's active on Instagram, as well as Facebook, mashallah, he's very

01:46:36 --> 01:46:39

active and doing several programs. He's been doing them, so follow

01:46:39 --> 01:46:43

him. And if you again, it shall have anything coming up. You said

01:46:43 --> 01:46:45

mentioned something at four o'clock. Is that something for the

01:46:47 --> 01:46:52

I'm doing a program, Sunday night, Sunday, the 19th at 8pm,

01:46:52 --> 01:46:57

California time. It's called destiny, a journey to eternity.

01:46:57 --> 01:47:02

And it's a program it's on my Instagram, I have the link there.

01:47:03 --> 01:47:10

handled here for everybody to so it's, it is, it is there it is

01:47:10 --> 01:47:14

basically what we got to talk about is about the lives of human

01:47:14 --> 01:47:18

beings from pre eternal, from young Aleste, through the womb

01:47:18 --> 01:47:24

through the world here after their judgment paradise in then, in

01:47:24 --> 01:47:27

about just destiny, because a lot of people have question, you know,

01:47:27 --> 01:47:32

can we change our destiny? Is it pre ordained or ready? Do I have a

01:47:32 --> 01:47:36

choice? I have a choice, like, What are my choices? And then if I

01:47:36 --> 01:47:40

don't have a choice, why am I being punished for no choice? So

01:47:40 --> 01:47:43

we will shall try to go through some of the updated questions as

01:47:43 --> 01:47:47

well, and have a q&a discussion afterwards. So it's eight o'clock.

01:47:47 --> 01:47:52

It's it's Pacific Standard Time, right? So it's Pacific Standard

01:47:52 --> 01:47:57

Time, California at 8pm. This Sunday, the 19th of this month, so

01:47:57 --> 01:48:01

Inshallah, that if they go on my Instagram account, which is my

01:48:01 --> 01:48:06

name's Ray doing so many ticks? Yes. Yeah. And then the link is

01:48:06 --> 01:48:10

there that they can register, it's going to be through zoom, and a

01:48:10 --> 01:48:16

Facebook and Instagram Live. So all 300 in our that I can't wait.

01:48:17 --> 01:48:19

I think that's gonna be an amazing program. I'm so glad you let it

01:48:20 --> 01:48:23

come. I appreciate that. And I want to say, I want to Before

01:48:23 --> 01:48:27

closing, I want to say that, you know, we, those people who are on

01:48:27 --> 01:48:31

this, watching it and has been following us, I John, for the

01:48:31 --> 01:48:35

she's been serving this community for over two decades, and doing a

01:48:35 --> 01:48:38

lot a lot of good work. And in some time, people don't really

01:48:38 --> 01:48:45

appreciate the people they do work in the Edma. And for me, it's

01:48:45 --> 01:48:48

beautiful. Because when people don't appreciate, Allah

01:48:48 --> 01:48:52

appreciates, and more, right, so it's, I know you're doing it for a

01:48:52 --> 01:48:54

lot, but you're doing a lot of good work. And, you know, people

01:48:54 --> 01:48:58

need to support your project and listen, yeah, she has daily

01:48:58 --> 01:49:01

reminders. And I know she's been doing counseling because I refer

01:49:01 --> 01:49:05

to her at least 100 people in the past couple of years that they had

01:49:05 --> 01:49:10

like mental breakdown suicidal teenagers, people who are leaving

01:49:10 --> 01:49:14

Islam and confused as a Listen, go call her talk to her and she's

01:49:14 --> 01:49:17

always been Yeah, she talked to them on the phone. She called in

01:49:17 --> 01:49:21

Skype them answer the question, email them, and this is something

01:49:21 --> 01:49:24

praiseworthy that you know, she's there with the community, she's

01:49:24 --> 01:49:28

you know, and they're not someone that you can get a hold of her. So

01:49:28 --> 01:49:32

we thank you for that for what you do, that we appreciate. And Allah

01:49:32 --> 01:49:35

bless you. Thank you and I do count you as one of my teachers

01:49:35 --> 01:49:38

you were the one of the first people to introduce me to this

01:49:38 --> 01:49:42

beautiful tradition of ours i Although I was practicing I was

01:49:42 --> 01:49:46

definitely in the dark until Alhamdulillah your service to this

01:49:46 --> 01:49:49

community and our OMA by providing the classes and platform for our

01:49:49 --> 01:49:53

beloved chef to teach. We credit you for that and many many many

01:49:53 --> 01:49:57

more things so that's why I'm so again honored that you joined us.

01:49:57 --> 01:50:00

Welcome Allah bless you, your family preserve you protect

01:50:00 --> 01:50:03

su thank you for certainly for your time forgive us for taking so

01:50:03 --> 01:50:06

much of it but I really hope this is the beginning of inshallah more

01:50:06 --> 01:50:09

conversations with you I've benefitted tremendously from

01:50:09 --> 01:50:13

listening to you and I've always said to people that mashallah you

01:50:13 --> 01:50:17

are someone really with with an amazing, vast amount of knowledge

01:50:17 --> 01:50:21

and wisdom and we truly truly are grateful for you. Thank you very

01:50:21 --> 01:50:23

much Sokoloff. So I'm glad you can keep us in your doors in these

01:50:23 --> 01:50:27

days blessed days inshallah Ramadan Mubarak to everyone in

01:50:27 --> 01:50:27

advance

01:50:38 --> 01:50:42

just like love hate, and again, everybody for being here, truly

01:50:42 --> 01:50:46

appreciate you guys making a time. I know there's a lot of offerings

01:50:46 --> 01:50:49

right now, in our community. And there's so many noble efforts may

01:50:49 --> 01:50:53

Allah reward every single person who's using their platform, their

01:50:53 --> 01:50:57

voice, to try to spread light to prepare people for this beautiful

01:50:57 --> 01:51:02

month of Ramadan, please, I ask you and you know, Seth Rogen. He's

01:51:02 --> 01:51:04

someone I know, he's a family member, but also someone I've

01:51:04 --> 01:51:08

known for decades, very consistent person, Mashallah. He's done a lot

01:51:08 --> 01:51:12

of good for our community. So please do check out his program

01:51:12 --> 01:51:16

coming up on Sunday, follow him, make sure that you aren't, you

01:51:16 --> 01:51:20

know, again, benefiting from the teachers that we have access to or

01:51:20 --> 01:51:22

making themselves available, because we need it, we need to

01:51:22 --> 01:51:26

support one another. This is a difficult time for our community

01:51:26 --> 01:51:29

we're being tested. But there's also an incredible amount of

01:51:29 --> 01:51:32

opportunity to draw closer to his father which is why I love what he

01:51:32 --> 01:51:36

said what he said was so beautiful, and that nobody is cut

01:51:36 --> 01:51:39

off from Allah subhanaw taala because we wouldn't have existence

01:51:39 --> 01:51:43

if that was the case. So if you are feeling that there is you

01:51:43 --> 01:51:47

know, a disconnect, that thought in and of itself is something we

01:51:47 --> 01:51:53

need to remove rather, maybe we just need to awaken ourselves and

01:51:53 --> 01:51:58

and just again, seize this incredible opportunity and draw

01:51:58 --> 01:52:01

near to Allah subhanaw taala through reflection through

01:52:01 --> 01:52:06

beautiful reminders as we were just given and of course to

01:52:06 --> 01:52:09

holding on to our community so insha Allah may Allah protect and

01:52:09 --> 01:52:14

preserve all of you I thank you so much again for spending time with

01:52:14 --> 01:52:19

with us this afternoon. I'm just going to also mention because some

01:52:19 --> 01:52:23

of you may not know we do have a program with the Rama foundation

01:52:23 --> 01:52:27

later this evening at seven o'clock so in just a few hours, it

01:52:27 --> 01:52:30

will be on a zoom and it's for women only sisters only. I'm not

01:52:30 --> 01:52:34

sure if so the February's here but she is one of the founders of Rama

01:52:34 --> 01:52:38

foundation she was here earlier, masha Allah may Allah bless her

01:52:38 --> 01:52:42

we'll have Dr. Rania Awad sister Hanuman thought who is an amazing

01:52:42 --> 01:52:46

again, a community member and person that everybody should know

01:52:46 --> 01:52:51

of. For those who are asking about advice regarding youth, this would

01:52:51 --> 01:52:55

be a good opportunity to listen to these teachers I will also be a

01:52:55 --> 01:52:59

part of that conversation. So I invite you to check out my stories

01:52:59 --> 01:53:05

I have the information on that 7pm Pacific Standard Time, there'll be

01:53:05 --> 01:53:08

much more programming ahead, look out for it and inshallah we hope

01:53:08 --> 01:53:12

again, to invite a Saturday June and others this is one of the

01:53:13 --> 01:53:16

intentions I have now that I'm a little bit more familiar with the

01:53:16 --> 01:53:21

Instagram lives, you know, format that I really want to start to

01:53:21 --> 01:53:26

introduce and showcase beautiful people like him that I have been

01:53:26 --> 01:53:30

blessed to know so that we can just spread the light inshallah

01:53:30 --> 01:53:33

and hold us hold each other during this difficult time for our

01:53:33 --> 01:53:38

community. So make the other inshallah we have no fear. And we

01:53:38 --> 01:53:42

will see you on the next broadcast, just like morphin or

01:53:42 --> 01:53:46

Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu. Also, this will be live

01:53:46 --> 01:53:49

for the next 24 hours. I know many of you have asked me to save the

01:53:49 --> 01:53:54

recording two hours on my phone. I'm so sorry, I likely will not be

01:53:54 --> 01:53:58

able to save it. I invite you to save it. If I'll try about I just

01:53:58 --> 01:54:02

don't know if I'm going to be able to. So I invite you if there are

01:54:02 --> 01:54:06

portions of the talk to go watch the live use the screen record

01:54:06 --> 01:54:09

function on your iPhone or if you have an Android they might have
