whatever my lady just wanna be one of ham in Anwar, how can I be equal to either my brothers and sisters, today in sha Allah to Allah, we will change the topic for the sake of urgency for I was not scheduled to be Jumar this Friday, but the Habib was unable to be here. So I'm filling in and I'm improvising
and I wanted to focus on a topic that brother brought to my attention a few weeks ago, and I feel that this is probably the best time to do that. Allah Subhana Allah has the best of planners, and we ask Allah Subhana Allah to make it easy for every single one of us in our challenges and our struggles and everything that we're going through in life.
The topic this brother suggested was the importance of coming to salatu Juma?
The way the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would come to salatu Juma?
We know that Allah subhanahu wa to Allah says, Yeah, you will Adina ermine will either know the other saw that he yelled at me to do my first set Oh Isla de la he was obey.
Allah Subhana Allah to Allah tells us when you hear the call for the prayer that to my prayer. Now first of all, the Juma prayer timing is different than vote.
And then we see that there was an event that was called before the tomorrow in order to tell the people of Medina and remind them it's now time to get ready and make your way to the masjid. Not like what we do nowadays because our speaker systems are not outside of masajid we usually will call the first event people wonder in question why there are two events for Juma. The first event is to let people know it's time to come for Juma. So get ready and Allah kinda Tiana says first so Eliza Karela like prepare yourself in advance and be there early on time. Not necessarily rushed to prayer because rushing to slaughter is not from the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu guiding us
to rush to the prayer is not from the Sunnah of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam, he would walk humbly. In fact, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam tells us not to run to the prayer, walk to the prayer, don't come to the prayer and you're huffing and puffing is what the Prophet SAW long it was on top of Sahaba but the long run home. And so nowadays when we rush to the prayer, because we say oh, we're going to be late, you'll find some times that people will run red lights. Slowly stop at stop signs, but just roll right through them. And this is against the actions of the believer. This isn't
against the behavior of believers in the loss of cannabinoids.
And so going back to this advice of the bat and the call to prayer that first of then was called Long before the football would begin not just 10 minutes, and it was announced out outside of the masjid right below the above and would stand up on top of the mustard wall, and he would call the event out loud and everyone would hear it so people knew it's time to prepare and get ready. Now, what does that preparation mean? This is really the topic that we want to focus on for today. What is this preparation for tomorrow? I mean, the profits on the long run, I think it was some love at times he would not shower you know, the night before or two days before it was not common for them
to shower every single day, except if it was to take a husen and that is to remove oneself from the state of Genova right a state of impurity so that we are able to pray once again. And so this goosal On the day of Jumeirah was specific to Juma even if you don't need to take a bath. Even if you didn't need to take a shower but prophets Allah or it was some would wash it himself. Now I know that at our time when we take a shower, we use a lot more water than the Prophet sallallahu Sallam probably used in an entire week in just one of our showers. In fact, we could we could probably safely even go to say, maybe even more than a week, two or three weeks worth of water. The Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would take a whistle take a bath with two of these two handfuls like this one, too. That was the amount of water that they used. But that does not mean that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was dirty. He was clean and he used to rub his body. He would put a little water and rub his body make sure the water went to the roots of his hair and washed himself properly. In addition to this, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for Juma I would put on his nicest clothing. And this is something that I hope to see from next week in sha Allah Who to add everyone who's here next week and I know that people will say oh, but we're coming from work and
stuff like that. What's wrong with dressing nicely to go to work as well? People ask us this question why new dress so nice. Are you getting married today? Is your son or daughter getting married today? Are you graduating like what's going on? Why you dress so nice to tell them today is you're going to do Mara. Today is the day of Friday. Today's the day that believers celebrates Allah, we celebrate by submitting to a one we go to the masjid and we pray in submission and we listen to a hookah. And so when we come to the Juma prayer, especially nowadays, when people are working from home, we find that people have come to Juma prayer in their pajamas.
And I'm not calling anyone out. But I see it as you know, as the months have been going on in the last year and a half, we see people coming in they're like, oh, yeah, you know, I've been wearing these for the last few days. Like some brothers come to me and actually like, they're happy and proud to say I've been wearing these for the last two days. I just changed my shirt when I'm online zoom calling or Zoom meeting. And you know, keep these pants on pajama pants for the last. How long is July? We're coming to stand before Allah subhanho attack.
Coming to stand before the One who created us.
Isn't it appropriate that we come as beautiful as we can?
Dressed as nicely as possible? People see us and they wonder what are these Muslims to every Friday look at the Muslims. They're like the best of people on Friday. Of course, they're gonna think we're celebrating the beginning of the weekend. But that doesn't matter. They'll ask us and we'll explain. In addition to taking a lesson, in addition to wearing his nicest clothing, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would put on red perfume and the perfume that their time was not that that goes away in five minutes. It was oil perfume. Now I'm not saying that we have to use oil perfume. You can use the perfume that you want to use, but he would take this perfume and rub it into his hands.
And sometimes it showed on your blog or somehow would rub it on her hands. And then she would rub it on to the skin of the Prophet sallallahu i that you have something? Why the skin. When you rub it on your clothing, it evaporates very quickly. When you rub it on your skin, your body smells nice for a long period of time. And each person scent is different than another. I know this is not an ood school right now. But this is you know, something we need to learn that we prepare ourselves to stand before Allah Subhana Allah to Allah in remembrance, that this could be the last prayer that we pray.
This couldn't be the last tomorrow that we attend. This could be the last time that I make my way to the masjid. This could be the last time that I bow down and put my head on the ground and such. So we prepare our
ourselves for salatu Juma as appropriately and as best as we possibly can better than the day that we get married, who luckily had our social life and stuff that we would never want
hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen wa ala Altima to the MATA pain well Sonny was certainly more than a beagle Karim Allah He of Baba sada to Adam Tasleem, another brothers and sisters. So what we've heard is just a little bit of what we're supposed to do on a Friday. In addition to that, we can take lessons like making sure that we brush our teeth, making sure that we comb our hair. This was from the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he would do his hair nicely. He would even put oil in his hair. Today, we might translate that into meaning gel, right that we do our hair up nicely. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at times who were you know something on his head
and because they were in the desert, they would wrap their heads, right they would wrap their heads to protect themselves from the sun and the heat. Remember the mustard of the prophets Allah, Allah Allah He was some of them the floor was sent. When the sun hits the sand, it gets even hotter. There was no air conditioning in the vicinity of the Prophet sallallahu It was Sunday. There was no heating in the winter months in the masjid of the prophets, Allah Allah Allah eurosender And so these are things we have to be thankful to Abbas panelboard Tana for and then also to come early if we can, or in the morning after fajr or even before fudge on because winter nowadays, you know,
fudging is later recites a little too Kath Allah some kind of went to Hana puts Moodle in our week from one tomorrow to another tomorrow when we recite so when
we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make it easy for us to implement the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam from next Friday onwards to be from those who come to Juma as though it's the best day of the entire years and Allahumma Salli ala Muhammad Radha and Mohamed can also later on you
