Sri Lanka Romana Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa shadowgun La ilaha illAllah Walia Salim Rashad to Anam Mohammed Abu hora solo hard to Milan BIA, he will more saline Allahumma salli wa sallam, Allah Abdi kawada seleka Mohammed, while Allah He was happy, he edged my robot, all praise the due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And surely Allah is the friend and protector of the righteous. And I bear witness that Allah is one and has no partners. And that Mohammed the son of Abdullah is a servant and his last messenger and mail are always and constantly send peace and blessings to Mohammed, to his family, to his companions, to all those who call to his way and establish his

00:00:49 --> 00:00:57

Sunnah to the Day of Judgment. As to what follows my beloved brothers and sisters Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

00:00:59 --> 00:01:40

Alhamdulillah It is a great pleasure again to be here in Manchester, and to see some of the faces of brothers and sisters who I've known in the past. And I pray that Allah subhanaw taala would bless you and protect you, and unite you in these very difficult times. I want to bring to you special salaams from your brothers and sisters in Istanbul, Turkey, I recently left them there. And by the mercy of Allah subhanaw taala, there is a group of believers who are now working at the Blue Mosque to to help the people who are coming there to understand what they are seeing.

00:01:41 --> 00:02:11

And this is part of the dilemma and the unique situation of the Muslims. Because in Turkey, there's over a million people per year, who are coming to this Sultan Ahmed Masjid, the Topkapi Museum, in this area, and they stand in awe. They stand, they are amazed at the site that they see. They are amazed at the power that the Muslims once had.

00:02:12 --> 00:03:00

But they see the building, and they don't understand what it is the Muslims are actually about. Who are they worshipping? Who are they following? What was the basis of this civilization that was able to construct buildings on this size, and to influence the world in the way they influence the world. And so this group of believers has begun to take the people out of their confusion, and two in a very indirect way, and a soft way to show them or to help them to understand what is in back of this mighty structure that they see there in Istanbul, Turkey.

00:03:01 --> 00:03:03

And this really is

00:03:04 --> 00:03:07

part of the uniqueness of the Muslim ummah.

00:03:08 --> 00:03:20

Because at this point in time, when we look at our past, we see that we have a history of respect, a history of power,

00:03:21 --> 00:03:23

a history of progress,

00:03:24 --> 00:03:32

that it is through our scholars who were inspired by the last prophet Muhammad, Salah Salem.

00:03:34 --> 00:04:16

Muslims were able to take the knowledge of the ancient ones, the ancient Egyptians, the ancient Babylonians, Chinese, Greeks, Romans, take the knowledge of the old world and bring it into a practical form, using tawheed, in order that people could use it in the modern age. And so this was a great achievement during the Golden Ages of Islam. It wasn't the Dark Ages, as many scholars would like to tell us. The reality was it was the golden age of Islam. And Muslims at that point, we're in the pinnacle of civilization in the world.

00:04:17 --> 00:04:35

In the present situation that we are in, coming out of the colonial period, coming out of subjugation, where our countries were dominated by powers that came from the outside, coming out of a fear of feeling of inferiority.

00:04:37 --> 00:04:46

The Muslim world is growing and growing. There is a groundswell that is happening with the rise of Muslims throughout the world.

00:04:48 --> 00:04:59

Alhamdulillah in Canada, where I'm living now, today, we established the masjid in the North Pole. And so you go to the highest reaches of Canada to the highest part of the earth.

00:05:00 --> 00:05:28

Alhamdulillah we took a Masjid and carried it up there we established it. And so five slots are being done in the North Pole. In Australia. Recently, I met a chief of Aboriginal clan in Melbourne, Australia, and his people are coming into Islam in large numbers. And so Islam is spreading to people in the far distant peripheries of the world. And our numbers are rising and rising.

00:05:30 --> 00:05:44

In a phenomenal rate in Toronto, where I'm living, Muslims now officially 10% of the top of the population 10% of Toronto, Muslims. So we have large numbers.

00:05:45 --> 00:06:26

We also have some of the richest people on the face of the planet Earth. They take a census of rich people, and they tell you, these are the top 10. These are the top 20 some of our leaders, you can't even put him in the census, because he doesn't have a bank account. his money is the gross national product of the country itself. So you can't even compare our leaders to Bill Gates. And people like this because they don't even have bank accounts. They don't even need to have a bank account. And so the wealth that we have, is mind boggling. It is it is out of control.

00:06:28 --> 00:06:39

We also have large number we also have large armies. We have intellectuals. We are sitting in strategic positions all throughout the planet.

00:06:41 --> 00:06:42

We have knowledge,

00:06:43 --> 00:07:08

the great scholars in the past would have to travel hundreds of kilometres in some cases to get one Hades. And now we can take the the authentic books we have them. We put them all on a chip, put it in our pocket. We are carrying hundreds and 1000s of traditions with us. So it's not about knowledge. It is not about numbers.

00:07:09 --> 00:07:11

It is not about a potential.

00:07:13 --> 00:07:17

But there is something that is happening. that I want to

00:07:18 --> 00:07:30

share with you the thoughts that we are having as people who have embraced Islam, as young people who are growing up and looking at the Muslim ummah. With this great potential, there is a contradiction

00:07:31 --> 00:07:36

with the great wealth. There is also poverty.

00:07:37 --> 00:07:46

Some of the poorest countries in the world are Muslim countries. And I lived with Muslims in the Sahara Desert in the Sahara Cobra,

00:07:47 --> 00:07:53

where they barely had enough to break their fast. It's the same Omar,

00:07:54 --> 00:07:55

the same kalama

00:07:56 --> 00:07:59

but some have an obscene amount of wealth

00:08:00 --> 00:08:03

and others hardly have enough to survive.

00:08:04 --> 00:08:36

And so this is a fitna, this is a test and the process alone was reported to have said in the liquidly, oma fitna, we're fitna to Amati almal. Every nation has a trial and test and the trial and test of this nation is wealth. We have too much or we have too little. We're on extremes. So it's a contradiction. Our armies are there, but they are not coming to liberate the oppressed.

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39

Are we wealth is not feeding the poor

00:08:41 --> 00:08:47

are intellectuals in many cases, instead of making achievements for the future,

00:08:48 --> 00:09:00

like they did in the Golden Age, will argue with each other over minor points. And the process of them is reported to have said madala Coleman cut by the Huda Illa brutal, gentle

00:09:02 --> 00:09:11

that people would not go astray after guidance till they were given the ability to argue with each other. And so it's a contradiction

00:09:12 --> 00:09:18

and it is reaching epic proportions. It has happened a few times in Islamic history,

00:09:19 --> 00:09:20

where it has reached this proportion.

00:09:21 --> 00:09:24

It is said in the 13th century of the Common Era,

00:09:26 --> 00:09:32

that the Muslims were divided into nation states that the Khalifa was a symbolic leader

00:09:33 --> 00:09:45

that the great scholars like Eben Alessia in his history book, he reports that during that year, there was no Hodge group that went from Baghdad to Mecca.

00:09:47 --> 00:09:49

They were too busy to make Hutch

00:09:50 --> 00:09:53

total amount we're given a tiny pittance

00:09:55 --> 00:10:00

whereas the ruling people had it

00:10:00 --> 00:10:16

Huge amount of wealth. And so with this contradiction, a major change came about a catastrophe hit the Muslim world. When the Mongols sent their emissaries into the Muslim world, they were disgraced.

00:10:18 --> 00:10:27

By the Muslims, their beards were shaven, and they were sent back. And their leader stood under his, his God.

00:10:28 --> 00:10:43

And he said, there's only one sun in the sky. And there's only one Han on this earth. And Ganga scan unleashed his forces on the Muslims, and they unleash them and they are they

00:10:45 --> 00:11:01

created a major catastrophe, a genocide of unbelievable proportions, came about until Allah subhanaw taala raised up sayfa kotas Rahim Allah united the Muslims, and they stopped the Mongols and Angel loot.

00:11:03 --> 00:11:11

And following this, they gave power to the Muslims so that they gave power to the Mongols save a deal to stop the Mongols.

00:11:12 --> 00:11:15

They were given Tao, and some of them

00:11:16 --> 00:11:17

accepted Islam.

00:11:18 --> 00:11:22

And so the people who were the enemies of Islam then became champions of Islam.

00:11:23 --> 00:11:28

But the Shah had here, the witness here is the contradiction,

00:11:29 --> 00:11:45

the wealth, the potential, not using it in the proper way. And at this point in time, as we are thinking about the future, and those who follow the solar calendar are talking about the new year.

00:11:46 --> 00:12:34

Those who follow the Islamic calendar also just began the New Year. People are thinking about the past, thinking about the future. Allah azza wa jal tells us insert alhaja rules will be laying him in the shade on the regime. Yeah, are you Hello Xena Amina taco LA. Well tanto enough sanmarga de McDavid what taco la in the LA hubiera on beema time alone, while at akuna Kela Deena nessa la ha for unser home and for Saba. Hola, como facetune. Allah said, Oh, you who believe have the consciousness of Allah and let every soul look to what it has put forward for tomorrow and fear Allah? Surely Allah is well aware of all that you do. And be not as those who forgot Allah,

00:12:35 --> 00:12:43

for he will make them forget themselves. Surely they are the disobedient ones. And so we have understood

00:12:44 --> 00:13:18

the gem of this verse, where it says, latter Kunal, Kadena nessa la ha for unsa home and for support. You forget Allah, He will make you forget yourself. And so your wealth will not come to the assistance of the poor. Your armies will not liberate the oppressed, your scholars will not be moving toward progress. And so it is a serious time now. And Muslims in the different countries were waiting for something. It's like we're waiting for something to happen.

00:13:19 --> 00:13:44

The whole world is actually waiting for something. But there is a rumbling that is going on. There is a rumbling there's a groundswell that is happening, and it is the earth itself. The Earth itself is throwing back at us as human beings. For too long, we polluted the planet. We destroyed the ecosystems. We cut down the trees.

00:13:46 --> 00:14:16

We made extinct so many animals and plants. And now it's turning back on us. And the skeptic said, Oh no, this is a natural thing. This is not a natural thing. And everybody realizes it now. Because the tornadoes and the earthquakes and the floods. The tsunamis, the things that are happening now are usually considered to be the worst on record.

00:14:18 --> 00:14:24

Last year, there was a flood in Poland. And the Polish considered to be the worst flood in living memory.

00:14:25 --> 00:14:51

The floods in Pakistan and the flood in Australia right now. They are calling it biblical. The only word they can use for it. It's a biblical flood. It reminds them of North alayhis salaam, a moving tsunami. Right now Australia, there's there's a section of Australia, the size of France and Germany is going underwater.

00:14:54 --> 00:15:00

It's happening all over the planet. And if you study nature closely, you see some strange things.

00:15:00 --> 00:15:14

In Canada, to the north of Canada, the polar bears that normally move across the ice to their feeding grounds. They can't reach their grounds because the ice has melted. There are insects in Canada.

00:15:16 --> 00:15:20

Instead of fleeing south, the insects are going north.

00:15:21 --> 00:15:49

The insects are going north, and the animals and insects they know something that we don't know. And it is said at the time of the tsunami, when the tsunami hit Southeast Asia, that there was a quietness in the ocean. And the animals started go to high ground because they knew something was coming. And so and so the insects in Canada are going north to a place where they never went before.

00:15:50 --> 00:15:52

So there are some strange things that are happening.

00:15:54 --> 00:15:56

And we were told about this.

00:15:57 --> 00:16:35

This came to us in our book, insert to room verse 41. Allah azza wa jal has told us ooh Billahi min ash shaytaan the regime dodol facade to fill battery well by habima kasturba INS uvita hongbao The lady Emmylou La La homeologous corruption has appeared on the land in the sea, because of what man's hands have done, and we will make them taste something of what they have earned, in order that they would return to the path. And so so Dr. La V, it has come to pass, we are tasting it.

00:16:36 --> 00:16:41

And it is interesting that the companions of the Prophet Sal solemn, they talked about this verse,

00:16:42 --> 00:17:07

what is facade filbur? What is facade for the Baja, they discuss because of the sins of Benny Adam, that there would be a decrease in vegetation. That animal life would be destroyed, that fish would be destroyed in the ocean. From back 1400 years ago, they were discussing the issues that are hitting us right now. But people don't learn.

00:17:09 --> 00:17:23

And they had a big conference in Copenhagen. They had another one in Cancun, Mexico recently, but the one in Copenhagen, that was the one that was supposed to solve the problem. And so they said, it's not Copenhagen, it's Copenhagen.

00:17:25 --> 00:17:34

There's hope for the future. But when they really discuss the issue, and they said, one of the basic problems is the inequality between the rich and the poor,

00:17:35 --> 00:17:44

that there is a tiny minority of people who are controlling the wealth of the planet. That is the real problem. Then everything froze.

00:17:46 --> 00:17:49

and hoping Hagen became nope and Hagen

00:17:51 --> 00:17:53

no compromise

00:17:54 --> 00:17:55

in Cancun,

00:17:56 --> 00:18:04

the major countries, no compromise. And so we are left at the doorstep

00:18:05 --> 00:18:11

of an apocalypse. What we will be seeing in the next few years and Allah knows best

00:18:12 --> 00:18:19

is cataclysmic changes, that is going to change the relationship of people forever.

00:18:21 --> 00:18:23

Our nation states will change.

00:18:24 --> 00:18:26

Our economies are going to change.

00:18:27 --> 00:18:32

And so Muslims, we have a very serious role in this.

00:18:33 --> 00:18:42

Because we are the ones who are carrying the last testament. We are the ones who are carrying the message of the last and greatest of the NBR.

00:18:43 --> 00:18:54

We have gems of wisdom in our hands. We have solutions to the problems that people are facing. The people are facing spiritual crisis right now.

00:18:55 --> 00:19:30

They're going to magicians. They go to fortune tellers. They try to call on spirit gods. They cast spells. They enter secret societies because there's a vacuum, there's a spiritual vacuum. And Muslims have the declaration of independence in a certain Fatiha iaca Naboo. We're going to start with that verse alone. We are saying that you alone a lot that we worship and from you alone, do we seek assistance.

00:19:33 --> 00:19:35

The economy of the world

00:19:36 --> 00:19:59

is going into a major recession. You think that because some money was taken shifted from banks into the hands of elite people, that this is going to change the economy. It's not going to change because it is based upon a lie. The promissory notes that we have been given to us

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02

not equal to gold and silver in the banks.

00:20:04 --> 00:20:07

People are not trading based upon reality.

00:20:08 --> 00:20:24

And money fluctuates and goes up and down. And so this recession, it is just begun. We have the answer to this, we are holding in our hands of interest free system, a system that could solve the economic crisis of the world.

00:20:25 --> 00:20:58

Racism is on the rise. People are being polarized, people are hating each other just because of the color of the skin. Or because of their tribe, or because of their nation. And sometimes because of their passport, we have the answer to this. If we practice Islam, and stay away from tribalism, or stay away from nationalism, we have the solution in our hands, to break down racism that we would know each other as tribes and nations.

00:20:59 --> 00:21:03

We would love each other and we would get to know each other the data.

00:21:05 --> 00:21:06

We have the answer to this.

00:21:08 --> 00:21:25

We have the answer to the lifestyle people are living a recent study was done in Canada. And they found out that alcohol is more dangerous to a human being than heroin and cocaine. This is a serious study.

00:21:26 --> 00:21:30

They found that alcohol is really drugs in liquid form.

00:21:31 --> 00:21:35

They used to call heroin and cocaine hard drugs.

00:21:36 --> 00:22:02

This is the dangerous one. But you drink alcohol. You just take a little tip take a nip. Just enjoy yourself. Now they have come to the conclusion that alcohol not only ruins your body, your liver, your nervous system, it also ruins your family. It causes abuse. It causes accidents on the highway. It destroys everything around it.

00:22:04 --> 00:22:07

And we have a way to live without drinking alcohol.

00:22:09 --> 00:22:10

This is a big thing.

00:22:11 --> 00:22:16

You can enjoy yourself on Saturday night. You are here It's New Year's.

00:22:18 --> 00:22:19

And you're not Hi.

00:22:20 --> 00:22:23

You don't have a hangover from last night. I hope.

00:22:25 --> 00:22:27

You don't have a hangover.

00:22:28 --> 00:22:43

You're enjoying yourself without alcohol. You're not intoxicating yourself in toxic, a toxic. You're not poisoning your body in order to enjoy yourself. This is an amazing thing.

00:22:44 --> 00:22:49

And we should be sharing it with people how to live a life without alcohol and drugs.

00:22:51 --> 00:22:56

How to enjoy yourself in a way where you remember the Creator of the heavens in the earth.

00:22:58 --> 00:23:00

So we have great potential.

00:23:01 --> 00:23:51

But the Omen now we are in a serious position. We are crying for change. We cry for political change. We cry for the Khalifa. We cry for social change. We cry for Islamic banking. We want Islamic halau food. We want a Islamic lifestyle. But Allah said in the law you have to be Coleman. You have to be unforeseen. Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change that which is in themselves. No change. There's going to be no change. And so when we look to the future with the great potential that we have, a lot told us letter Kunal Kela, Xena Ernesto LA for unsa home anfis our Do not forget a lot.

00:23:52 --> 00:23:54

You make you forget yourself.

00:23:55 --> 00:24:03

Change will not come about until we go into our hearts. We have to seriously we have to change the template.

00:24:04 --> 00:24:08

How we practice Islam? What is the purpose of the masjid?

00:24:10 --> 00:24:22

What is our mission as Muslims, we have to change this before it is too late. And when the great Cataclysm happens when the apocalypse begins,

00:24:23 --> 00:24:29

we have to be able to think outside of the box, using the Quran and Sunnah as our guide

00:24:30 --> 00:24:33

to think outside the box to the future.

00:24:35 --> 00:24:36

When we look at our community

00:24:38 --> 00:24:39

and looking toward the future,

00:24:41 --> 00:24:57

there's some amazing studies that have been done. And I want to share one study with you and reflect upon it in terms of our own community and how we can do something towards the future. The first change is inside of ourselves.

00:24:59 --> 00:25:00

But there's another

00:25:00 --> 00:25:03

The change that our community is facing.

00:25:04 --> 00:25:20

A recent study was done by the United Nations. And normally politically, they are they don't favor Muslims, but they have an outreach. And they went around the world and looked at the situation of populations. And they found out

00:25:21 --> 00:25:27

that in the 21st century, this is a century of young people.

00:25:28 --> 00:26:01

They found out that presently 48% of the world population is under 24 years old. 48% of people on earth are under 24. In Africa, and this can go for many of the Muslim countries as well. 60% of the people are under 25. They did a study of North Africa, Algeria, and some of the North northern Northern Africa, they found a set they found this 60% of the people under 25 years old.

00:26:02 --> 00:26:12

So we are a young nation. If you take all of the Muslims and put them outside, on a field, you will find the majority of the Muslims are young people.

00:26:13 --> 00:26:24

But yet when we look at our programs, what happens in the masjid and I'm not necessarily talking about this Masjid. When you look at the masjid, how many programs are for the young people?

00:26:25 --> 00:26:36

Most of the masjid and I'm being straightforward to you, because we have to be honest and straightforward with each other. Most of the masjids are men's club for men over 35 years old.

00:26:39 --> 00:26:41

The majority of the people are young.

00:26:42 --> 00:27:07

If you want to sell, ah, you know, encyclopedias, that's what they used to sell now as Google's for everything. But if you want to sell products, in an area, you take a census of the people, you understand the people themselves. And if they are literate, if they're going to buy your books, then you sell your books, if they don't read, you're not going to sell your books.

00:27:08 --> 00:27:13

And so our activities, our understanding has to change.

00:27:15 --> 00:27:20

It is the younger generation that will carry Islam in the future.

00:27:21 --> 00:27:29

They are the ones who will live in the future, not our generation, the older generation who is here. It is the young people who will live in the future.

00:27:31 --> 00:27:34

They will face the apocalypse

00:27:36 --> 00:28:03

How will they function in this world. There are certain issues, certain crisis points that are shared by young people all over the planet. And I want to share these with you as a means of looking at some practical areas that we can begin to focus on. We need activities. The prophet SAW Selim when he established the masjid in Medina, it was an all purpose Islamic Center.

00:28:05 --> 00:28:11

All types of activities went on inside the masjid. Even political decisions were made inside of the masjid.

00:28:12 --> 00:28:13

According to the study,

00:28:15 --> 00:28:28

there are five crisis points that the younger generation who are the majority will have to face in the 21st century, five crises. Number one,

00:28:30 --> 00:28:35

violence. The level of violence today of murder and killing

00:28:37 --> 00:28:41

is the highest level in recorded history.

00:28:42 --> 00:28:49

There is no time where human beings have the ability to kill and destroy each other like we do today.

00:28:50 --> 00:29:00

And so young people have to grow up in a world of violence. And that violence will either be law sometimes it starts in their own homes.

00:29:01 --> 00:29:11

And that is where alcohol and drugs and gambling and other addictions. They naturally lead to abuse. People who leave the sooner

00:29:12 --> 00:29:22

people who base their religion not on their Deen, but on their culture. They also have abuse and we have found this in our communities. Number two,

00:29:24 --> 00:29:33

and erosion of traditional values. This is an interesting point. Young people around the world their value systems are changing.

00:29:35 --> 00:29:59

And they are being taught by the International globalization which is coming on the television. It comes in the movies. It comes on the internet. It comes on Facebook, on Twitter, the social networking, they are being taught to accept values other than their own traditional values. I say to

00:30:00 --> 00:30:09

Some of the students that I was born in BC, they say, well, that means you're a caveman or something like that BC, your BC is before computers.

00:30:11 --> 00:30:19

It was only in the 90s. We started using computers, right? Not a long time ago. I can even say I was born in bfb. I was born before Facebook.

00:30:22 --> 00:30:25

Because Facebook has changed everybody's mentality.

00:30:26 --> 00:30:35

Some people live a life larger than anything on the Facebook. He's Superman on the Facebook.

00:30:36 --> 00:30:38

And you meet me just a little simple guy.

00:30:40 --> 00:30:44

Okay, so it has changed everybody's relationship, but what are we being taught by the media?

00:30:45 --> 00:30:50

What should we be in touch? What are the images coming to us?

00:30:51 --> 00:31:03

signs and symbols are coming to us. So a young person would rather eat instead of eating his own nice biryani, shawarma or kababs he wants Kentucky Fried Chicken

00:31:04 --> 00:31:20

or he wants McDonald's. I came into a Muslim country in Ramadan. I'm not going to say which one it was. And I came from the airport. And as I as we moved in the dock, the first thing I saw was the golden arches. And it said Ramadan Mubarak.

00:31:22 --> 00:31:28

With the golden arches of McDonald's. That was the first thing in the Muslim country.

00:31:29 --> 00:31:31

And so our value systems are changing.

00:31:32 --> 00:31:38

What is an erosion of traditional values mean for Muslims? It means they will leave the deen

00:31:40 --> 00:31:51

they will take on another lifestyle. As a prophet SAW Selim said you will follow them inch by inch and foot by foot until they crawl into a lizard soul, you crawl in there with them.

00:31:52 --> 00:31:56

And they said Is it the Christians and the Jews, and he said for men who else

00:31:58 --> 00:32:00

you will follow them inside of the hole.

00:32:02 --> 00:32:15

And so traditional values are going down. That is a struggle for the younger generation to be able to see Islam in a practical way today, we can no longer give hood buzz and put people to sleep.

00:32:16 --> 00:32:22

Take them 1400 years back, and they have nothing to use today.

00:32:24 --> 00:32:32

When the promises seldom used to give the hookah they said eyes would get read his voice would raise and it was like an army wasn't back on the right back at them. And

00:32:33 --> 00:32:36

he was dealing with on the walk their reality.

00:32:38 --> 00:32:43

So our Dean has got to be practical for the younger generation to use in their struggle. Number three

00:32:45 --> 00:32:50

of the crisis points facing the 21st century. It's poverty.

00:32:51 --> 00:32:56

It's poverty, people are starving. People are suffering.

00:32:58 --> 00:33:11

I went to I lived in southern Africa for 10 years. And it was a common thing for us to set up a Masjid in an area where there was no running water and no electricity.

00:33:14 --> 00:33:27

And you go into some areas, and you will not believe it. People are still accepting Islam. no running water, no electricity. And then you go to another place and you see the masjid the rug is so thick.

00:33:29 --> 00:33:34

I went into one mash and I said brothers, this is not a Masjid. This is a palace.

00:33:35 --> 00:33:38

you're praying in a palace, you're praying in a Masjid.

00:33:41 --> 00:33:44

And so poverty. And so we will have to

00:33:46 --> 00:33:52

we will have to mobilize our wealth. And think in terms of Islamic Relief.

00:33:53 --> 00:33:56

Islamic Relief has to be a part of our lifestyle.

00:33:57 --> 00:34:10

You have to look at all we have to look at our wealth, and a portion of our wealth has to be given to the crisis zones in the world. The situation at Pakistan has not gotten better up until now.

00:34:11 --> 00:34:24

They're in crisis, the infrastructure is destroyed. So people are going to have to give not only their wealth, but give their time, give their skills. If Allah blessed you to be a doctor

00:34:25 --> 00:34:26

or an engineer,

00:34:28 --> 00:34:46

or whatever your skill is spend some of your time in the needy zones. You have to give back. You can't just take this skill and hold it to yourself and buy two or three houses. You have to give back to the people because poverty suffering.

00:34:47 --> 00:34:56

This is going to be one of the hallmarks of the century that we are at number four of the crises facing the younger generation disease.

00:34:57 --> 00:34:59

There are diseases that are spreading now.

00:35:01 --> 00:35:03

There are viruses that are spreading,

00:35:04 --> 00:35:13

which were not known in the previous generations. And we saw this in southern Africa. and South Africa in particular, Allah knows why.

00:35:15 --> 00:35:31

But what they considered to be HIV AIDS, which also includes it can be tuberculosis, it can be male malnutrition, it could be a number of things. But they found that one out of every three people was HIV positive one in three,

00:35:32 --> 00:35:42

that means a Muslim doctor came to where I was in Cape Town. And what they told him was, just consider everybody who comes in the door to be HIV positive, everybody.

00:35:43 --> 00:35:47

Because if one three is HIV positive, everybody is.

00:35:48 --> 00:36:16

So the virus is spreading, the diseases will continue to spread. And this is where we will have to go back to the sun, and give our lifestyle, our lifestyle will protect people you will see in the Muslim countries, we start in southern Africa. And as you go to the Muslim countries, the more Islam is practice, the lesser the percentage of HIV, it goes down, the more you practice Islam,

00:36:17 --> 00:36:19

number five,

00:36:20 --> 00:36:21

drugs,

00:36:22 --> 00:36:24

illegal drugs.

00:36:25 --> 00:36:33

This is a crisis of the younger generation. And these drugs are spreading rapidly.

00:36:34 --> 00:36:50

And we cannot bury our heads in the sand anymore. The drugs are around us. All types of drugs, be given a designer names, interesting names, promises, that if you take this drug,

00:36:51 --> 00:36:55

you will be a powerful person, we had a drug in Cape Town, they call it a tick.

00:36:57 --> 00:37:02

And this tick, they say if you you know when a person

00:37:03 --> 00:37:20

in the American movies, when the hero, they win the game, and everybody cheers for them. Yay, you're cheering. And you feel so glorious, right? You know, the Olympics, he got the gold medal, and he's crying and he feels so happy. Multiply that times 10.

00:37:22 --> 00:37:25

That is the feeling you get when you smoke that the first time.

00:37:26 --> 00:37:45

Okay, but after you go up, you come straight down. And you will never find that feeling again, you will search for that feeling for the rest of your life. And you need more more and more and more if you smoke it once you are addicted probably for your life.

00:37:46 --> 00:37:51

That's how dangerous the situation is. And so in this area.

00:37:52 --> 00:38:07

And this is interesting that it came through the United Nations International study of young people around the world, the majority of people in the world, we can think about our own Masjid, what a priority areas. What things can we actually do? Number one,

00:38:09 --> 00:38:09

education.

00:38:11 --> 00:38:21

Education is key for us. It is key for us to be able to overcome the problems that we are facing Islamic education skills training.

00:38:22 --> 00:38:34

Development is crucial for the younger generation. They need to learn skills. They need to be educated properly. Number two, how can we help the younger generation employment?

00:38:36 --> 00:38:42

employment is going to be a major crisis. And you know what's happening here with education.

00:38:43 --> 00:39:28

You know what is happening with employment. It is becoming a crisis. What we can do those who have jobs, those who have businesses who have skills, give back to the community. If you have it skills, set up a course where you train young people in it. If you're a carpenter, if you're a plumber, if you're an electrician, whatever skills you have give back to the community so that young people can also gain the skills, number three priority areas. These are solutions now. We have to deal with hunger and poverty. We will have to deal with this. Wherever we found it. I was shocked. In Canada.

00:39:29 --> 00:39:37

We opened up a food bank in the 90s. And we had 1000s of people in Canada, Muslims come into our food bank

00:39:39 --> 00:39:45

in these in a western country, but they were they didn't have enough to really live a proper life.

00:39:47 --> 00:39:59

Number four, the issues of health. We have to deal with health. We focus on halau things and we need to have halau food

00:40:00 --> 00:40:01

Loss of hansadutta tells us

00:40:03 --> 00:40:35

kulu mimma fill out of the halaal and tayyiba well, that w photo to shaytaan in the hula coma doin mubin eat from the earth that which is halau, permissible and wholesome, and do not follow the footsteps of the devil for his to your open enemies. And so halau food, wholesome food, we say no, it's allowed, the Muslims were dropping down. In southern Africa, Muslims at the highest rate of heart attacks.

00:40:37 --> 00:40:52

They were dropping dead. Why? Because when you eat the food, it's halau. But it is so greasy, that your hand is covered with grease. And after he finishes eating the greasy food, he says, I want Coca Cola classic.

00:40:53 --> 00:41:07

I want coke. So he eats the grease, and then he drinks the Coke is like cement. It's like you made cement inside of your arteries. And so the Muslims are literally dropping down from heart attacks.

00:41:08 --> 00:41:17

So we will have to look upon wholesome eating wholesome lifestyles to give to the younger generation. Number five,

00:41:19 --> 00:41:40

we will have to focus on the environment. We need to be BB hold hands with people of other faiths and conscious people who are struggling to deal with the environmental crisis of this world. We should be leading the world in greening, greening deserts in dealing with pollution,

00:41:42 --> 00:41:43

we should be leading this

00:41:46 --> 00:41:56

the versus saying we will make them taste something of what they have earned, in order that they would return to the path. And so the whole issue is to return to the path.

00:41:58 --> 00:42:06

So the environmental issue is another focus area that our communities need to get into number six,

00:42:07 --> 00:42:25

drug abuse, we will have to be able to deal with people accepting Islam, or amongst our younger generation or older generation who have a drug habit. We buried our heads in the ground for a long time. But if somebody has a drug habit,

00:42:26 --> 00:42:37

it has to be dealt with. So we will have to set up drug rehabilitation centers, using Islam as a means of getting the people off the drugs.

00:42:38 --> 00:42:57

It is a really important thing. And that is that is a great blessing, or it is a great benefit that we can give to society for the future. If we have centers where people can come off the drugs, and the spirituality is to heat

00:42:58 --> 00:43:07

because they need spirituality and who has the best spirituality, but those who have Kelly mala ilaha illAllah, Muhammad Rasulullah saw something number seven

00:43:09 --> 00:43:13

priority areas, juvenile delinquency.

00:43:15 --> 00:43:37

We will have to deal with the problems of our younger generation. You cannot bury your head in the sand. Some of the toughest street gangs right now in the UK are Muslims is the same in Canada. It's the same in South Africa. Some of the toughest gangs on the street.

00:43:40 --> 00:43:44

How do we deal with them? Why do they join the gangs?

00:43:45 --> 00:44:00

They are not getting they don't have identity. They they don't get a feeling of our manhood rites of passage to go from youth into being an adult. In our Muslim country, there was a way for a young man or young woman to become an adult.

00:44:02 --> 00:44:15

If we don't have this, they get it in the streets. So we're going to have to deal with juvenile delinquency to provide programs to deal with the youth who are out in the streets who are having serious problems in this society.

00:44:16 --> 00:44:18

Number eight

00:44:19 --> 00:44:24

priority areas for the future leisure time activities.

00:44:25 --> 00:44:43

What do we do on Friday night? What do we do on Saturday night? What halau alternatives do we have for the younger generation when the fitna comes to them last night when the you know that they're celebrating, what alternative do you have?

00:44:45 --> 00:44:59

We have to have an alternative to this. And it needs to be one way to think it out properly. And not just copy the Western society but think it out properly and make a good alternative number nine priority

00:45:00 --> 00:45:07

areas. This is interesting. This is an international problem. It is girls and young women.

00:45:09 --> 00:45:25

It's a priority area, they will have to be dealt with. And that does not mean that we will have the sisters in the conference. You have the Brady's brother studying fit and an Akita and tauheed and you have the sisters studying Islamic cooking.

00:45:26 --> 00:45:29

What is the new designer samosa?

00:45:32 --> 00:45:34

That cannot happen anymore.

00:45:36 --> 00:45:44

Because some of the great scholars of Islam you will see the great imams talking about in there is snad. There are women

00:45:46 --> 00:45:56

and the sisters right now, in groups like elaborative Institute, l Casa and some of the new Institute's coming up. The sisters are the dominant force

00:45:57 --> 00:46:11

in education, it's happening all over the place. So that needs to be a priority where they can gain an Islamic education and also be involved in the leadership of the community. Number 10.

00:46:12 --> 00:46:17

The full and effective participation of young people in leadership

00:46:19 --> 00:46:24

young people can no longer be put on the side they need to be in the shorter

00:46:25 --> 00:46:55

when decisions are made for the future. You need to have a young person sitting there Why do you think the province has seldom had the five Abdullah Abdullah been our best even Roma even amo been last even a Zubair Why did he have the Abdullah is they were young people, Ali Ibn Abi taalib. Who sama Ebony's aid on the lorawan who they were young people. And they were sitting with the Prophet peace be upon sitting with the companions. So when it was time for leadership, they were able to take it over.

00:46:57 --> 00:47:03

In order to do this islamically we need to change the template

00:47:04 --> 00:47:15

change our thinking in Islam. And I want to humbly put forward a few suggestions. Number one, we need an increase in taqwa.

00:47:16 --> 00:47:36

We need an increase in taqwa. It needs to be a real consciousness of Allah subhanaw taala alpha alpha Raja, that we really fear Allah azza wa jal hoping in the mercy of Allah. And this taqwa is a worker it is a shield, it will protect us in the masjid and outside of the masjid. Number two,

00:47:37 --> 00:47:48

proper knowledge of Islam. We will have to seek out knowledge of Islam from authentic sources. We can no longer take Islam from culture.

00:47:49 --> 00:48:14

Oh, that is what my father did. That is what my mother did. We have to take our Deen from authentic sources, and everybody needs to spend some time studying classical Arabic. First, you have to learn Arabic. It doesn't mean you master it. But the more you learn is the closer you come to the why you're coming closer to the revelation.

00:48:15 --> 00:48:26

And so at least if you understand to a certain level, then you know when somebody is telling you something which is proper or not. You can least have vocht you have the taste.

00:48:27 --> 00:48:29

You have the taste of what knowledge is.

00:48:30 --> 00:48:31

Number three,

00:48:32 --> 00:48:43

we need to pray to Allah subhanaw taala for hikma for wisdom. We need wisdom in this generation. What is wisdom? What are Shay faema Holly, putting things in the proper place?

00:48:45 --> 00:49:03

It sounds simple, but it's not easy to do. It's not about how much knowledge we have. It is how we use our knowledge. That is going to be the key issue now. making the right decisions not going to one extreme or another extreme balance.

00:49:05 --> 00:49:54

We need to pray to Allah azza wa jal for this next proper Islamic character, we need to focus on character. The premises seldom said in the motto of Mr. Malik, boys truly Otama who still o'clock I have been sent to complete the best in character. That is the essence of Islam. It's about character. That's how Islam was spread. It was not spread by by conquering armies. It was spread by interpersonal relationships. That's what we need. Now. The people around the masjid need to feel our character. Some of the brothers were saying the other day, maybe one of the things we can do. If there is a garbage strike. Then we get Muslims in a certain area and we will come up with a truck

00:49:54 --> 00:49:59

and we will clean the area of feasibility. We will not ask anything from the people

00:50:00 --> 00:50:15

But we will clean the area up. And they will see that Muslims are a benefit to society, not just some strange people with our clothes on long clothes and one screaming at the top of the building at 430 in the morning.

00:50:17 --> 00:50:20

No, what are we doing for the people outside in front of us?

00:50:21 --> 00:50:27

Next courage and conviction, we need to pray to Allah subhanaw taala for courage, we have to have shujaa

00:50:29 --> 00:51:08

we have to have conviction now, in this time of the apocalypse. Next, a knowledge of the environment, what is happening around us, not just talking about the environmental struggle, we need to know the trends in society. We need to understand what's happening in the world and apply our knowledge to the world. So we have to keep up with the trends in the world. Next, Shura. We need to take shorter, mutual consultation in our families. One of the key issues why we have problems in our family, husband does not talk to the wife.

00:51:09 --> 00:51:14

The parents do not talk to the children. When does the family get together and take shorter?

00:51:16 --> 00:51:20

When does the husband come to his wife and say, I want to make this move? What do you think

00:51:22 --> 00:51:31

each family should have a period of time where they come and in the shorter the child or the wife is allowed to criticize the Father.

00:51:33 --> 00:51:38

Because the great hola file or Russia Dean, they were criticized by the people.

00:51:40 --> 00:51:50

And they were glad that they were criticized. So sugar is crucial in our families, in our massages in our communities, and in everything that we do

00:51:51 --> 00:52:04

next, in this time of Apocalypse, we need a positive approach. It's a win win situation for the Muslims, either we win in this life, or we win in the hereafter.

00:52:05 --> 00:52:22

The prophet SAW Selim when he sent his followers out, he told them Bushido to not Pharaoh. Yes, pseudo. Well, not to acido. He said, Give glad tidings. Don't drive people away. Make Islam easy, don't make it difficult.

00:52:23 --> 00:52:31

Many times we make we make it difficult. We you know, even if we differ on a subject, there may be two opinions

00:52:32 --> 00:52:39

on a subject. Both of them made their own research and they have a different opinion. What happens?

00:52:42 --> 00:53:01

Do we hate each other? Do we form another Masjid because of that? It is reported in bento Khaleda after the Battle of the conduct the process Allah was informed by gibreel to go to the yahood because they have broken the treaty, that he should go to federal court data.

00:53:02 --> 00:53:17

And the process of them said anyone who believes that alone and the last messenger will not make a PSA, except in general kureta go south. So the companion started to go south, as they went south along the road as I was going out.

00:53:18 --> 00:53:27

Remember, the prophet said, make sure you do your asset and benaco data, but now as it was going out, so do you make your salata Lhasa or not.

00:53:29 --> 00:53:31

Some of the companions said, No, I'm making salaat.

00:53:33 --> 00:53:39

Because Allah azza wa jal has said, this is keytab and makuta. You have to make this a lot on time.

00:53:40 --> 00:53:49

So I'm making solid, the other one said no, the process of them said you have to pray in federal court either. So when they reached federal court a that they were arguing with each other.

00:53:50 --> 00:53:55

They were fighting with each other. If it was us, there'll be two different masjids

00:53:56 --> 00:54:04

two different communities. A major split, they went to the Prophet peace be upon them. And you know what he said? You're both right.

00:54:05 --> 00:54:19

You see hikma, both of you are correct. One was following Allah and the other one is for the Messenger of Allah. Both of you are correct. It's not black and white, up and down. haka bottle.

00:54:21 --> 00:54:28

Both of you are correct. So you have to learn to tolerate each other, tolerate differences.

00:54:30 --> 00:54:35

Six in one is seven, five and two, four, and three.

00:54:36 --> 00:54:46

It's seven. So we'll have to learn to tolerate differences. And in this, we will need to have cooperation and unity.

00:54:47 --> 00:54:52

And at this stage, we can have what I call operational unity.

00:54:54 --> 00:54:59

Maybe the masjids two are not exactly the same. But at least on the sunnova Gemma

00:55:00 --> 00:55:04

We need to be able to have a shorter to cooperate with each other

00:55:07 --> 00:55:15

martial arts are when they offended the province or sell them with the poetry or with the cartoons. Everybody came up.

00:55:16 --> 00:55:29

There's certain issues that will bring all Muslims on the streets. So at least in these issues, make sure we have operational unity between us try to unite it's difficult.

00:55:30 --> 00:55:50

Muslims are doing different things. It is reported that the companions of the Prophet SAW Selim holiday and Waleed rhodiola Juan, he only memorize a few short stories. He didn't have time he came in at the end, and he was a warrior. So he just knew NASA and Falcon, whatever. So when it was time for salaat

00:55:52 --> 00:56:04

you did not ask Allah to lead salaat you look for Abdullah bin Masood, or you look for somebody who has mastered the Quran. Okay, but when the enemies of Allah were near, they said we're solid.

00:56:06 --> 00:56:08

Where's Khalid, put them in the front?

00:56:09 --> 00:56:29

So you see what they did? They knew each other's strengths and weaknesses. And based on this, your leadership comes? What did Carla do? Did he start a new hot aka khalidiya? Or did he have tariqa? Khalid, or new neshap? Khalid? No, he was just one of the believers.

00:56:31 --> 00:56:39

He just has a different quality, a different skill. But at the end of the day, he stands shoulder to shoulder with the other believers.

00:56:40 --> 00:56:48

And so we have to work towards unity. There are some things that you might not like about somebody else, you might not like it.

00:56:50 --> 00:56:55

But 98% of that person, maybe the same as you 2% is different.

00:56:57 --> 00:57:04

But if you think about the 2%, you're not dealing with the person who is basically the same issue.

00:57:05 --> 00:57:51

And finally, we need outreach. We will need to take this message out to the people in society. And our today is not a debate between one scholar and another scholar is not Muslim versus Christian. dour today is making solutions, Islamic solutions to real problems. The problem of drugs, the problem of homelessness, the problem of racism, the problem of disease, the problem of the economy, we have so much to give to society, we have so much you know to bring forward. But when you do this, you're going to be strange.

00:57:52 --> 00:57:54

You are going to be strange.

00:57:55 --> 00:57:59

You're going to feel strange that people are taken off their clothes, and you put it on

00:58:00 --> 00:58:03

the people are drinking alcohol and taking drugs

00:58:04 --> 00:58:05

and you're drinking tea.

00:58:06 --> 00:58:11

Two people are partying and running around and and they stink, they're happy.

00:58:12 --> 00:58:17

And you're not involved so you feel strange. You don't eat pork.

00:58:18 --> 00:58:38

You don't commit adultery and fornication, you feel strange. The prophet SAW seldom said in Islam a better ivory bin was a Yahoo do even for toolbar than hurrah. Islam began strange and it will return to being strange, so glad tiding to the strangers.

00:58:39 --> 00:59:31

So they asked him who are the strangers and he told them allatheena your slave owner and the facade and ness, it is the people who repair things, they repair themselves, they repair society, when the people have become corrupted. So Dr. rasulillah We are entering an apocalypse and the society is corrupted. And it is the Hookah Bar are the ones that the province has seldom said toolbar and hurrah, glad tidings to those who are strange and who hang on to the rope of Allah subhanaw taala May Allah give us the ability to hold on to our Deen in these critical times? May Allah give us the strength to stand up for the message of La ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasul Allah, may Allah have mercy

00:59:32 --> 01:00:00

and protect the children of the Omar Mohammed says Allah. May Allah have mercy and protect the women of the Omar Mohamed Salah Salah, the law of mercy and protect and strengthen the men of the oma Mohamed Salah Salam. May Allah raise up one who will lead up misguided political leaders from darkness into light. And may Allah give us the strength to be with that leadership and to die with Kelly mela ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasool Allah on our lips as our last words and our best words. I love you

01:00:00 --> 01:00:06

These thoughts are colloquially how the well stocked for lolly walakum wa salaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu.

01:00:08 --> 01:00:28

There is a rumbling there's a groundswell that is happening, and it is the earth itself. The Earth itself is throwing back at us as human beings. For too long we polluted the planet. We destroyed the ecosystems. We cut down the trees.

01:00:29 --> 01:01:00

We made extinct so many animals and plants. And now it's turning back on us. And the skeptic said, Oh, no, this is a natural thing. This is not a natural thing. And everybody realizes it now. Because the tornadoes and the earthquakes and the floods, the tsunamis, the things that are happening now are usually considered to be the worst on record.

01:01:01 --> 01:01:07

Last year, there was a flood in Poland. And the Polish considered to be the worst flood in living memory.

01:01:09 --> 01:01:35

The flood in Pakistan and the flood in Australia right now. They are calling it biblical. The only word they can use for it. It's a biblical flood. It reminds them of North la Salaam, a moving tsunami. Right now Australia, there's there's a section of Australia, the size of France and Germany is going underwater.

01:01:37 --> 01:01:58

It's happening all over the planet. And if you study nature closely, you see some strange things in Canada, to the north of Canada, the polar bears that normally move across the ice to their feeding grounds. They can't reach their grounds, because the ice is melted. There are insects in Canada.

01:01:59 --> 01:02:03

Instead of fleeing south, the insects are going north.

01:02:04 --> 01:02:32

The insects are going north. And the animals and insects they know something that we don't know. And it is said at the time of the tsunami when the tsunami hit Southeast Asia, that there was a quietness in the ocean. And the animals started go to high ground because they knew something was coming. And so and so the insects in Canada are going north to a place where they never went before.

01:02:33 --> 01:02:36

So there are some strange things that are happening.

01:02:37 --> 01:02:39

And we were told about this.

01:02:40 --> 01:03:19

This came to us in our book, insert to room verse 41. Allah azza wa jal has told us Ooh, Billahi min ash shaytani regime, dar el pasado Phil battery well, Baja de la casa, but itns Lita homebuilder, letting me Lu La La homea Jihoon corruption has appeared on the land and the sea, because of what man's hands have done, and we will make them taste something of what they have earned, in order that they would return to the path. And so so Dr. La v. It has come to pass, we are tasting it.

01:03:20 --> 01:03:25

And it is interesting that the companions of the Prophet Sal solem they talked about this verse,

01:03:26 --> 01:03:50

what is facade filbur? What is facade philipa. They discuss because of the sins of Benny Adam, that they would be a decrease in vegetation. That animal life would be destroyed, that fish would be destroyed in the ocean. From back 1400 years ago. They were discussing the issues that are hitting us right now. But people don't learn.

01:03:52 --> 01:04:07

And they had a big conference in Copenhagen. They had another one in Cancun, Mexico recently, but the one in Copenhagen that was the one that was supposed to solve the problem. And so they said it's not Copenhagen, it's Copenhagen.

01:04:08 --> 01:04:17

There's hope for the future. But when they really discuss the issue, and they said, one of the basic problems is the inequality between the rich and the poor,

01:04:18 --> 01:04:28

that there is a tiny minority of people who are controlling the wealth of the planet. That is the real problem. Then everything froze.

01:04:29 --> 01:04:32

and hoping Hagen became no pun Hagan.

01:04:35 --> 01:04:36

No compromise.

01:04:37 --> 01:04:38

in Cannes Kuhn,

01:04:39 --> 01:04:47

the major countries, no compromise. And so we are left at the doorstep

01:04:49 --> 01:04:55

of an apocalypse. What we will be seeing in the next few years and Allah knows best

01:04:56 --> 01:05:00

is cataclysmic changes that is going to

01:05:00 --> 01:05:02

changed the relationship of people forever.

01:05:04 --> 01:05:06

Our nation states will change.

01:05:07 --> 01:05:10

Our economies are going to change.

01:05:11 --> 01:05:15

And so Muslims, we have a very serious role in this.

01:05:16 --> 01:05:26

Because we are the ones who are carrying the last testament. We are the ones who are carrying the message of the last and greatest of the NBR.

01:05:27 --> 01:05:37

We have gems of wisdom in our hands. We have solutions to the problems that people are facing. The people are facing spiritual crisis right now.

01:05:39 --> 01:06:14

They are going to magicians. They go to fortune tellers. They try to call on spirit gods. They cast spells. They enter secret societies because there's a vacuum, there's a spiritual vacuum. And Muslims have the Declaration of Independence. In a certain Fatiha iaca Naboo, we are going to stay with that verse alone, we are saying that you are alone a lot that we worship and from you alone, do we seek assistance.

01:06:16 --> 01:06:18

The economy of the world

01:06:19 --> 01:06:46

is going into a major recession. You think that because some money was taken shifted from banks, into the hands of elite people, that this is going to change the economy. It's not going to change, because it is based upon a lie. The promissory notes that we have been given do not equal the gold and silver in the banks.

01:06:47 --> 01:06:51

People are not trading based upon reality.

01:06:52 --> 01:07:07

And money fluctuates and goes up and down. And so this recession, it is just begun. We have the answer to this. We are holding in our hands an interest free system, a system that could solve the economic crisis of the world.

01:07:08 --> 01:07:41

Racism is on the rise. People are being polarized, people are hating each other just because of the color of the skin. Or because of their tribe, or because of their nation. And sometimes because of their passport. We have the answer to this. If we practice Islam, and stay away from tribalism, or stay away from nationalism. We have the solution in our hands, to break down racism that we would know each other as tribes and nations.

01:07:42 --> 01:07:46

We would love each other and we would get to know each other the data.

01:07:48 --> 01:07:49

We have the answer to this.

01:07:51 --> 01:08:13

We have the answer to the lifestyle people are living a recent study was done in Canada. And they found out that alcohol is more dangerous to a human being than heroin and cocaine. This is a serious study. They found that alcohol is really drugs in liquid form.

01:08:14 --> 01:08:19

They used to call heroin and cocaine hard drugs.

01:08:20 --> 01:08:45

01:08:47 --> 01:08:51

And we have a way to live without drinking alcohol.

01:08:52 --> 01:08:53

This is a big thing.

01:08:54 --> 01:09:00

You can enjoy yourself on Saturday night. You are here It's New Year's.

01:09:01 --> 01:09:02

And you're not Hi.

01:09:04 --> 01:09:07

You don't have a hangover from last night. I hope

01:09:09 --> 01:09:10

you don't have a hangover.

01:09:11 --> 01:09:26

You're enjoying yourself without alcohol. You're not intoxicating yourself in toxic, a toxic you're not poisoning your body in order to enjoy yourself. This is an amazing thing.

01:09:27 --> 01:09:33

And we should be sharing it with people how to live a life without alcohol and drugs.

01:09:35 --> 01:09:40

How to enjoy yourself in a way where you remember the Creator of the heavens in the earth.

01:09:41 --> 01:09:44

So we have great potential.

01:09:45 --> 01:10:00

But the Omen now we are in a serious position. We are crying for change. We cry for political change. We cry for the halifa we cry for social change. We cry for Islamic

01:10:00 --> 01:10:35

banking. We want Islamic halau food. We want Islamic lifestyle. But Allah said in the law hola euroma be comin hot Are you here to be unforeseen, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change that which is in themselves. No change. There's going to be no change. And so when we look to the future with the great potential that we have a lot told us letter Kunal Kela, Xena, nessa LA for unser home and for Saba. Do not forget a lot.

01:10:36 --> 01:10:37

You make you forget yourself.

01:10:39 --> 01:10:46

Change will not come about until we go into our hearts. We have to seriously we have to change the template.

01:10:47 --> 01:10:51

How we practice Islam? What is the purpose of the masjid?

01:10:53 --> 01:11:05

What is our mission as Muslims, we have to change this before it is too late. And when the great Cataclysm happens, when the apocalypse begins,

01:11:06 --> 01:11:16

we have to be able to think outside of the box, using the Quran and Sunnah as our guide, to think outside the box to the future.

01:11:18 --> 01:11:20

When we look at our community,

01:11:21 --> 01:11:22

in looking toward the future,

01:11:24 --> 01:11:41

there's some amazing studies that have been done. And I want to share one study with you can reflect upon it in terms of our own community, and how we can do something towards the future. The first change is inside of ourselves.

01:11:42 --> 01:11:47

But there's another change that our community is facing.

01:11:48 --> 01:12:04

A recent study was done by the United Nations. And normally politically, they are they don't favor Muslims, but they have an outreach. And they went around the world and looked at the situation of populations. And they found out

01:12:05 --> 01:12:10

that in the 21st century, this is a century of young people.

01:12:11 --> 01:12:44

They found out that presently 48% of the world population is under 24 years old. 48% of people on earth are under 24. In Africa, and this can go for many of the Muslim countries as well. 60% of the people are under 25. They did a study of North Africa, Algeria, and some of the North northern Northern Africa, they found that they found this 60% of the people under 25 years old.

01:12:45 --> 01:12:55

So we are a young nation. If you take all of the Muslims and put them outside, on a field, you will find the majority of the Muslims are young people.

01:12:57 --> 01:13:07

But yet, when we look at our programs, what happens in the masjid and I'm not necessarily talking about this Masjid, when you look at the masjid, how many programs are for the young people?

01:13:09 --> 01:13:19

Most of the masters and I'm being straightforward to you, because we have to be honest and straightforward with each other. Most of the masjids are men's club for men over 35 years old.

01:13:22 --> 01:13:24

The majority of the people are young.

01:13:26 --> 01:13:50

If you want to sell, ah, you know, encyclopedias, that's what they used to sell. Now, it's Google's for everything. But if you want to sell products, in an area, you take a census of the people, you understand the people themselves, and if they are literate, if they're gonna buy your books, then you sell your books, if they don't read, you're not going to sell your books.

01:13:52 --> 01:13:56

And so our activities, our understanding has to change.

01:13:58 --> 01:14:03

It is the younger generation that will carry Islam in the future.

01:14:04 --> 01:14:13

They are the ones who will live in the future, not our generation, the older generation who is here. It is the young people who will live in the future.

01:14:15 --> 01:14:17

They will face the apocalypse

01:14:19 --> 01:14:47

01:14:48 --> 01:14:54

All types of activities went on inside the masjid. Even political decisions were made inside of the masjid.

01:14:55 --> 01:14:57

According to the study

01:14:58 --> 01:14:59

there are five crazy

01:15:00 --> 01:15:12

points that the younger generation who are the majority will have to face in the 21st century, five crises. Number one,

01:15:13 --> 01:15:19

violence. The level of violence today of murder and killing

01:15:20 --> 01:15:24

is the highest level in recorded history.

01:15:26 --> 01:15:32

There is no time where human beings have the ability to kill and destroy each other like we do today.

01:15:34 --> 01:15:43

And so young people have to grow up in a world of violence. And that violence will either be led, sometimes it starts in their own homes.

01:15:44 --> 01:15:54

And that is where alcohol and drugs and gambling and other addictions, they naturally lead to abuse. People who leave the sooner

01:15:55 --> 01:16:05

people who base their religion not on their Deen, but on their culture. They also have abuse. And we have found this in our communities. Number two,

01:16:07 --> 01:16:17

and erosion of traditional values. This is an interesting point. Young people around the world, their value systems are changing.

01:16:18 --> 01:16:53

And they are being taught by the International globalization, which is coming on the television, it comes in the movies. It comes on the internet. It comes on Facebook, on Twitter, the social networking, they are being taught to accept values other than their own traditional values. I say to some of the students that I was born in BC, they say well, that means you're a caveman or something like that BC, your BC is before computers.

01:16:54 --> 01:17:03

It was only in the 90s we started using computers, right? Not a long time ago. I can even say I was born in bfb. I was born before Facebook.

01:17:05 --> 01:17:18

Because Facebook has changed everybody's mentality. Some people live a life larger than anything on the Facebook. He's Superman on the Facebook.

01:17:19 --> 01:17:21

And you meet him. He's just a little simple guy.

01:17:23 --> 01:17:28

Okay, so it has changed everybody's relationship. But what are we being taught by the media?

01:17:29 --> 01:17:33

What should we be in touch? What are the images coming to us?

01:17:34 --> 01:17:46

signs and symbols are coming to us. So a young person would rather eat instead of eating his own nice biryani, shawarma or kababs he wants Kentucky Fried Chicken

01:17:47 --> 01:18:03

or he wants McDonald's. I came into a Muslim country in Ramadan. I'm not going to say which one it was. And I came from the airport. And as I as we moved in the dock, the first thing I saw was the golden arches. And it said Ramadan Mubarak.

01:18:05 --> 01:18:11

With the golden arches of McDonald's. That was the first thing in the Muslim country.

01:18:12 --> 01:18:14

And so our value systems are changing.

01:18:15 --> 01:18:21

What does an erosion of traditional values mean for Muslims? It means they will leave the deen

01:18:23 --> 01:18:34

they will take on another lifestyle. As a prophet SAW Selim said you will follow them inch by inch and foot by foot until they crawl into a lizard soul. you crawl in there with them.

01:18:35 --> 01:18:39

And they said Is it the Christians and the Jews, and he said for men who else

01:18:41 --> 01:18:43

you will follow them inside of the hole.

01:18:45 --> 01:18:58

And so traditional values are going down. That is a struggle for the younger generation to be able to see Islam in a practical way today, we can no longer give good buzz and put people to sleep.

01:19:00 --> 01:19:06

Take them 1400 years back, and they have nothing to use today.

01:19:07 --> 01:19:15

When the promises seldom used to give the football, they said eyes would get read his voice would raise and it was like an army wasn't back right back at them and

01:19:17 --> 01:19:20

he was dealing with the walk their reality.

01:19:21 --> 01:19:27

So our Dean has got to be practical for the younger generation to use in their struggle. Number three

01:19:28 --> 01:19:33

of the crisis points facing the 21st century. It's poverty.

01:19:35 --> 01:19:40

It's poverty, people are starving. People are suffering.

01:19:42 --> 01:19:54

I went to I lived in southern Africa for 10 years. And it was a common thing for us to set up a Masjid in an area where there was no running water and no electricity.

01:19:57 --> 01:19:59

Can you go into some areas and you

01:20:00 --> 01:20:11

You will not believe it. People are still accepting as Islam. no running water, no electricity. And then you go to another place and you see the masjid the rug is so thick.

01:20:12 --> 01:20:17

I went into one mash and I said, brothers, this is not a Masjid. This is a palace.

01:20:18 --> 01:20:22

you're praying in a palace, you're praying to the masjid.

01:20:24 --> 01:20:28

And so poverty. And so we will have to,

01:20:29 --> 01:20:35

we will have to mobilize our wealth. And think in terms of Islamic Relief,

01:20:36 --> 01:20:39

Islamic Relief has to be a part of our lifestyle.

01:20:41 --> 01:20:53

You have to look at all we have to look at our wealth, and a portion of our wealth has to be given to the crisis zones in the world, the situation in Pakistan has not gotten better up until now.

01:20:54 --> 01:21:07

They're in crisis, the infrastructure is destroyed. So people are going to have to give not only their wealth, but give their time, give their skills, if Allah blessed you to be a doctor,

01:21:09 --> 01:21:10

or an engineer,

01:21:11 --> 01:21:29

or whatever your skill is spend some of your time in the needy zones, you have to give back. You can't just take this skill and hold it to yourself and buy two or three houses, you have to give back to the people because poverty suffering,

01:21:30 --> 01:21:40

this is going to be one of the hallmarks of the century that we are at number four of the crises facing the younger generation disease.

01:21:41 --> 01:21:46

There are diseases that are spreading now. There are viruses that are spreading,

01:21:47 --> 01:21:56

which were not known in the previous generations. And we saw this in southern Africa. and South Africa in particular, a lot knows why.

01:21:58 --> 01:22:14

But what they considered to be HIV AIDS, which also includes it can be tuberculosis, it can be melt malnutrition, it could be a number of things. But they found that one out of every three people was HIV positive one in three,

01:22:16 --> 01:22:30

that means a Muslim doctor came to where I was in Cape Town. And and what they told him was, just consider everybody who comes in the door to be HIV positive, everybody. Because if one of three is HIV positive, everybody is.

01:22:32 --> 01:23:00

So the virus is spreading, the diseases will continue to spread. And this is where we will have to go back to the sun and give our lifestyle. Our lifestyle will protect people you will see in the Muslim countries, we start in southern Africa. And as you go to the Muslim countries, the more Islam is practice, the lesser the percentage of HIV, it goes down. The more you practice Islam,

01:23:01 --> 01:23:02

number five

01:23:03 --> 01:23:04

drugs,

01:23:06 --> 01:23:08

illegal drugs.

01:23:09 --> 01:23:16

This is a crisis of the younger generation. And these drugs are spreading rapidly.

01:23:17 --> 01:23:34

And we cannot bury our heads in the sand anymore. The drugs are around us. All types of drugs, be given designer names, interesting names, promises, that if you take this drug,

01:23:35 --> 01:23:39

you will be a powerful person. We had a drug in Cape Town, they call it a tick.

01:23:40 --> 01:23:45

And this tick, they say if you you know when a person

01:23:47 --> 01:24:04

in the American movies, when the hero they win the game, and everybody cheers for them. Yay, you're cheering and as you feel so glorious, right? You know the Olympics, he got the gold medal, and he's crying and he feels so happy. Multiply that times 10.

01:24:05 --> 01:24:08

That is the feeling you get when you smoke it the first time.

01:24:09 --> 01:24:28

Okay, but after you go up, you come straight down. And you will never find that feeling again. You will search for that feeling for the rest of your life. And you need more more and more and more if you smoke it once you are addicted probably for your life.

01:24:30 --> 01:24:34

That's how dangerous the situation is. And so in this area.

01:24:35 --> 01:24:50

And this is interesting that it came through the United Nations International study of young people around the world, the majority of people in the world. We can think about our own masjids what a priority areas. What things can we actually do number one,

01:24:52 --> 01:24:53

education.

01:24:54 --> 01:25:00

Education is key for us. It is key for us to be able to overcome

01:25:00 --> 01:25:04

Come the problems that we are facing Islamic education skills training.

01:25:05 --> 01:25:18

Development is crucial for the younger generation, they need to learn skills. They need to be educated properly. Number two, how can we help the younger generation employment?

01:25:19 --> 01:25:25

employment is going to be a major crisis. And you know what's happening here with education.

01:25:27 --> 01:26:11

You know, what is happening with employment, it is becoming a crisis, what we can do those who have jobs, those who have businesses who have skills, give back to the community. If you have it skills, set up a course where you train young people in it. If you're a carpenter, if you're a plumber, if you're an electrician, whatever skills you have, give back to the community so that young people can also gain these skills. Number three priority areas. These are solutions now. We have to deal with hunger and poverty, we will have to deal with this. Wherever we found it. I was shocked. In Canada.

01:26:12 --> 01:26:21

We opened up a food bank in the 90s. And we had 1000s of people in Canada, Muslims come into our food bank,

01:26:22 --> 01:26:29

in these in a western country, but they were they didn't have enough to really live a proper life.

01:26:30 --> 01:26:31

Number four,

01:26:32 --> 01:26:45

the issues of health. We have to deal with health. We focus on halau things, and we need to have halau food, but lots of hands. Allah tells us

01:26:46 --> 01:27:19

kulu marfil out of the halala tayyiba well, that w photo to shaytaan in the hula coma doin mubin eat from the earth that which is halau, permissible and wholesome and do not follow the footsteps of the devil. For he is to you are open enemies. And so halau food, wholesome food, we say no, it's allowed, the Muslims were dropping down. In southern Africa, Muslims had the highest rate of heart attacks.

01:27:20 --> 01:27:36

They were dropping dead. Why? Because when you eat the food, it's halau. But it is so greasy, that your hand is covered with grease. And after he finishes eating the greasy food, he says I want Coca Cola classic.

01:27:37 --> 01:27:51

I want coke. So he eats the grease and then he drinks the Coke is like cement. It's like you made cement inside of your arteries. And so the Muslims are literally dropping down from heart attacks.

01:27:52 --> 01:28:00

So we will have to look upon wholesome eating wholesome lifestyles to give to the younger generation. Number five,

01:28:02 --> 01:28:24

we will have to focus on the environment. We need to ppb hold hands with people of other faiths and conscious people who are struggling to deal with the environmental crisis of this world. We should be leading the world in greening, greening deserts in dealing with pollution.

01:28:25 --> 01:28:27

We should be leading this

01:28:29 --> 01:28:40

the verses saying we will make them taste something of what they have earned in order that they would return to the path. And so the whole issue is to return to the path.

01:28:41 --> 01:28:49

So the environmental issue is another focus area that our communities need to get into number six,

01:28:51 --> 01:29:09

drug abuse, we will have to be able to deal with people accepting Islam or amongst our younger generation or older generation who have a drug habit. We buried our heads in the ground for a long time. But if somebody has a drug habit,

01:29:10 --> 01:29:21

it has to be dealt with. So we will have to set up drug rehabilitation centers, using Islam as a means of getting the people off the drugs.

01:29:22 --> 01:29:40

It is a really important thing. And that is that is a great blessing, or it is a great benefit that we can give to society for the future. If we have centers where people can come off the drugs and the spirituality is to heat

01:29:41 --> 01:29:50

because they need spirituality and who has the best spirituality but those who have Kelly mala ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasulullah Susana, number seven

01:29:52 --> 01:29:56

priority areas, juvenile delinquency.

01:29:59 --> 01:30:00

We will have to do

01:30:00 --> 01:30:20

With the problems of our younger generation, you cannot bury your head in the sand. Some of the toughest street gangs right now in the UK are Muslims is the same in Canada. It's the same in South Africa. Some of the toughest gangs on the street.

01:30:23 --> 01:30:27

How do we deal with them? Why do they join the gangs?

01:30:28 --> 01:30:44

They are not getting they don't have identity, they they don't get a feeling of our manhood rites of passage to go from youth into being an adult. In our Muslim country, there was a way for a young man or young woman to become an adult.

01:30:45 --> 01:30:59

If we don't have this, they get it in the streets. So we're going to have to deal with juvenile delinquency, to provide programs to deal with the youth who are out in the streets who are having serious problems in this society.

01:31:00 --> 01:31:01

Number eight

01:31:02 --> 01:31:07

priority areas for the future leisure time activities.

01:31:09 --> 01:31:27

What do we do on Friday night? What do we do on Saturday night? What halau alternatives do we have for the younger generation? When the fitna comes to them last night, when the you know they're celebrating, what alternative do you have?

01:31:28 --> 01:31:51

We have to have an alternative to this. And it needs to be one way to think it out properly. And not just copy the Western society, but think it out properly and make a good alternative. Number nine priority areas. This is interesting. This is an international problem. It is girls and young women.

01:31:53 --> 01:32:08

It's a priority area, they will have to be dealt with. And that does not mean that we will have the sisters in the conference and you have the Brady's brothers studying fifth and aqidah and tauheed. And you have the sisters studying Islamic cooking.

01:32:10 --> 01:32:12

What is the new design samosa?

01:32:16 --> 01:32:17

That cannot happen anymore.

01:32:19 --> 01:32:27

Because some of the great scholars of Islam you will see the great imams talking about in there is snap, there are women

01:32:29 --> 01:32:40

and the sisters right now in groups like Alma Institute, l cosa and some of the new Institute's coming up the Sisters of the dominant force

01:32:41 --> 01:32:54

in education, it's happening all over the place. So that needs to be a priority where they can gain an Islamic education and also be involved in the leadership of the community. Number 10.

01:32:55 --> 01:33:01

The full and effective participation of young people in leadership.

01:33:02 --> 01:33:07

Young people can no longer be put on the side. They need to be in the shorter

01:33:08 --> 01:33:39

when decisions are made for the future. You need to have a young person sitting there Why do you think the prophet SAW Selim had the five Abdullah Abdullah been our best even Rama Rama bin last Ivana Zubair Why did he have the Abdullah is they were young people are leaving Abi taalib who sama Ebony's aid, or the lorawan who they were young people. And they were sitting with the Prophet peace be upon him sitting with the companions. So when it was time for leadership, they were able to take it over.

01:33:40 --> 01:33:46

In order to do this islamically we need to change the template.

01:33:47 --> 01:33:58

change our thinking in Islam. And I want to humbly put forward a few suggestions. Number one, we need an increase in taqwa.

01:34:00 --> 01:34:19

We need an increase in taqwa. It needs to be a real consciousness of Allah subhanaw taala. allow for Raja that we really fear Allah azza wa jal hoping in the mercy of Allah. And this taqwa is a worker it is a shield. It will protect us in the masjid and outside of the masjid. Number two,

01:34:20 --> 01:34:31

proper knowledge of Islam. We will have to seek out knowledge of Islam from authentic sources. We can no longer take Islam from culture.

01:34:33 --> 01:34:58

Oh, that is what my father did. That is what my mother did. We have to take our Deen from authentic sources, and everybody needs to spend some time studying classical Arabic. First half. You have to learn Arabic. It doesn't mean you master it. But the more you learn is the closer you come to the why you're coming closer to the revelation

01:34:59 --> 01:34:59

and so it leads

01:35:00 --> 01:35:09

If you understand to a certain level, then you know when somebody is telling you something which is proper or not. You can least have vocht you have the taste.

01:35:10 --> 01:35:12

You have the taste of what knowledge is.

01:35:13 --> 01:35:14

Number three,

01:35:15 --> 01:35:27

we need to pray to Allah subhanaw taala for hikma for wisdom, we need wisdom in this generation, what is wisdom? What are Shay faema Holly, putting things in the proper place.

01:35:28 --> 01:35:47

It sounds simple. But it's not easy to do. It's not about how much knowledge we have. It is how we use our knowledge. That is going to be the key issue now, making the right decisions not going to one extreme or another extreme balance.

01:35:48 --> 01:36:37

We need to pray to Allah azza wa jal for this next proper Islamic character, we need to focus on character. The premises seldom said in the motto of Mr. Malik boys to leave me mahoosuc o'clock, I have been sent to complete the best in character. That is the essence of Islam. It's about character. That's how Islam was spread. It was not spread by by conquering armies. It was spread by interpersonal relationships. That's what we need. Now, the people around the masjid need to feel our character. Some of the brothers were saying the other day, maybe one of the things we can do, if there is a garbage strike, then we get Muslims in a certain area and we will come up with a truck

01:36:37 --> 01:36:58

and we will clean the area feasibility. We will not ask anything from the people. But we will clean the area up. And they will see that Muslims are a benefit to society. Not just some strange people, with our clothes on long clothes, one screaming at the top of the building at 430 in the morning.

01:37:00 --> 01:37:03

No, what are we doing for the people outside in front of us?

01:37:04 --> 01:37:10

Next courage and conviction. We need to pray to Allah subhanaw taala for courage, we have to have shujaa

01:37:12 --> 01:37:51

we have to have conviction now, in this time of the apocalypse. Next a knowledge of the environment, what is happening around us not just talking about the environmental struggle. We need to know the trends in society. We need to understand what's happening in the world and apply our knowledge to the world. So we have to keep up with the trends in the world. Next, Shura. We need to take shorter, mutual consultation in our families. One of the key issues why we have problems in our family. husband does not talk to the wife.

01:37:52 --> 01:37:57

The parents do not talk to the children. When does the family get together and take shorter?

01:37:59 --> 01:38:03

When does the husband come to his wife and say, I want to make this movie? What do you think

01:38:06 --> 01:38:15

each family should have a period of time where they come and in the shorter the child or the wife is allowed to criticize the Father.

01:38:16 --> 01:38:21

Because the great Hello file or Rashi Dean, they were criticised by the people.

01:38:23 --> 01:38:33

And they were glad that they were criticized. So shorter is crucial in our families, in our massages in our communities, and in everything that we do

01:38:34 --> 01:38:48

next, in this time of Apocalypse, we need a positive approach. It's a win win situation for the Muslims, either we win in this life, or we win in the hereafter.

01:38:49 --> 01:39:05

The prophet SAW some of them when he sent his followers out. He told them Bushido to not Pharaoh. Yes, sir. Oh, Allah to acido. He said give glad tidings. Don't drive people away. Make Islam easy, don't make it difficult.

01:39:07 --> 01:39:14

Many times we make we make it difficult. We you know, even if we differ on a subject, there may be two opinions

01:39:16 --> 01:39:23

on a subject. Both of them made their own research, and they have a different opinion. What happens?

01:39:25 --> 01:39:44

Do we hate each other? Do we form another master because of that? It is reported in Bukhara. After the Battle of the conduct. The process Allah was informed by jabril to go to the yahood because they have broken the treaty, that he should go to federal court ADA.

01:39:45 --> 01:40:00

And the process of them said anyone who believes that alone and the last messenger will not make a PSA, except in general core data goes south. So the companion started to go south as they went south along the road as I was going

01:40:00 --> 01:40:00

youse

01:40:01 --> 01:40:11

remember the Prophet said, make sure you do your asset and benaco data. But now our PSA was going out. So do you make your salata Lhasa or not?

01:40:12 --> 01:40:15

Some of the companions said, No, I'm making salaat.

01:40:16 --> 01:40:22

Because Allah azza wa jal has said, this is keytab and makuta. You have to make this a lot on time.

01:40:24 --> 01:40:32

So I'm making salaat. The other one said, No, the process on them said you have to pray and bento code either. So when they reach federal code that they were arguing with each other.

01:40:34 --> 01:40:39

They were fighting with each other. If it was us, there'll be two different masjids

01:40:40 --> 01:40:47

two different communities. A major split, they went to the Prophet peace be upon them. And you know what he said? You're both right.

01:40:49 --> 01:41:03

You see hikma, both of you are correct. One was following Allah and the other ones for the Messenger of Allah. Both of you are correct. It's not black and white, up and down. haka bottle.

01:41:04 --> 01:41:11

Both of you are correct. So you have to learn to tolerate each other, tolerate differences.

01:41:14 --> 01:41:18

Six in one is seven, five and two, foreign three,

01:41:20 --> 01:41:21

it's seven.

01:41:22 --> 01:41:29

So we'll have to learn to tolerate differences. And in this, we will need to have cooperation and unity.

01:41:31 --> 01:41:36

And at this stage, we can have what I call operational unity.

01:41:37 --> 01:41:48

Maybe the masjids two are not exactly the same. But at least on the sunnova, Gemma, we need to be able to have a shorter to cooperate with each other.

01:41:50 --> 01:41:58

martial arts are when they offended the privates or sell them with the poetry or with the cartoons. Everybody came up.

01:42:00 --> 01:42:13

There's certain issues that will bring all Muslims on the streets. So at least in these issues, make sure have operational unity between us. Try to unite it's difficult.

01:42:14 --> 01:42:34

Muslims are doing different things. It is reported that the companions of the Prophet SAW Selim holiday and will lead rhodiola one, he only memorize a few short Saurus he didn't have time he came in at the end. And he was a warrior. So he just knew NASA and Falcon, whatever. So when it was time for salaat

01:42:35 --> 01:42:47

you do not ask Allah to lead salaat you look for Abdullah bin Masood, or you look for somebody who has mastered the corelle. Okay, but when the enemies of Allah were near, they said we're solid.

01:42:49 --> 01:42:52

Where's Khalid, put them in the front?

01:42:53 --> 01:43:13

So you see what they did? They knew each other strengths and weaknesses. And based on this, your leadership comes? What did Carla do? Did he start a new hierarchical idea? Or did he have tariqa? Khalid? Or a new mishap? Khalid? No, he was just one of the believers.

01:43:14 --> 01:43:23

He just has a different quality, a different skill. But at the end of the day, he stands shoulder to shoulder with the other believers.

01:43:24 --> 01:43:31

And so we have to work towards unity. There are some things that you might not like about somebody else, you might not like it.

01:43:33 --> 01:43:39

But 98% of that person may be the same as you 2% is different.

01:43:40 --> 01:43:47

But if you think about the 2%, you're not dealing with the person who is basically the same issue.

01:43:48 --> 01:44:34

And finally, we need outreach. We will need to take this message out to the people in society. And dour today is not a debate between one scholar and another scholar is not Muslim versus Christian. dour today is making solutions, Islamic solutions to real problems. The problem of drugs, the problem of homelessness, the problem of racism, the problem of disease, the problem of the economy, we have so much to give to society. We have so much you know to bring forward. But when you do this, you're going to be strange.

01:44:35 --> 01:44:37

You are going to be strange.

01:44:38 --> 01:44:42

You're going to feel strange that people are taking off their clothes and you're putting it on

01:44:43 --> 01:44:46

the people are drinking alcohol and taking drugs

01:44:47 --> 01:44:48

and you're drinking tea.

01:44:50 --> 01:44:54

The people are partying and running around and and they think they're happy

01:44:56 --> 01:45:00

and you're not involved so you feel strange. You don't even

01:45:00 --> 01:45:00

pork.

01:45:01 --> 01:45:21

You don't commit adultery and fornication you feel strange. The Prophet Sal seldom said in Islam a better ivory bin was a Yahoo Ducati even for toolbar and hurrah. Islam began strange and it will return to being strange, so glad tiding to the strangers.

01:45:22 --> 01:46:14

So they asked him who are the strangers and he told them allatheena useless owner and the facade and ness, it is the people who repair things, they repair themselves, they repair society, when the people have become corrupted. So Dr. rasulillah We are entering an apocalypse and the society is corrupted. And it is the Hookah Bar are the ones that the premises seldom said toolbar little hurrah, glad tidings to those who are strange and who hang on to the rope of Allah subhanaw taala. May Allah give us the ability to hold on to our Deen in these critical times? May Allah give us the strength to stand up for the message of La ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasool Allah, may Allah have

01:46:14 --> 01:46:50

mercy and protect the children of the Omar Mohammed says Allah. May Allah have mercy and protect the women of the oma of Mohammed Salah will have mercy and protect and strengthen the men of the oma Mohamed Salah Salam. May Allah raise up one who lead up misguided political leaders from darkness into light. And may Allah give us the strength to be with that leadership and to die with Kelly Mullah ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasool Allah on our lips as our last words and our best words I leave you with these thoughts are colloquially how the world stock for lolly walakum wa salaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
